Had a couple’s massage here today. First time client. I had Tanya as my masseuse. This was the best massage I’ve ever had!!! Very good at what she does. Even gave me goose bumps a couple times. I felt like a noodle when it was over and extremely relaxed!! I will definitely go back to her!!! Thank you Tanya!!!! ❤️ Highly recommend!!

I work out regularly but rarely stretch before/after my workouts. I was in desperate need for a good stretch along with some relaxation. This was a great combination of both. Pressure was very relaxing but just enough intensity to stretch my muscles and limbs. I need to incorporate this service in my training routine. But wait….did I mention the chocolate and glass of champagne afterwards? Yes!! That was the icing on the cake.

Bought a Groupon for 30% off. Unbeknownst to me, there was a mandatory 20% gratuity. There was no Wi-Fi so I had to go outside to get a signal to load the Groupon, screen shot the code and come back down to the studio. We had a couples massage which was terrible!! My sciatic nerve was injured by an unskilled young masseuse. My partner told the other masseuse that he had a sprain of his finger and she decided to still apply pressure which sent us to the ER that night. The doctor said she severely aggravated the initial sprain. Who applies and pressure to an area in which you identified on the sheet as well as verbally advised about?. I would never ever ever recommend this place!

I visited Beauty Retreat studio on 10/25/23. Prior to the appointment, I spoke with Tonya who was very professional, flexible and met me and my husband where we were with our schedules. She accommodated our work schedules and still serviced us although work caused my husband to be a little late. The massages by Tonya and Kayla are amazing! They really take care of the areas you ask them to focus on. Side note, the sheets smelled heavenly! So fresh, such a magical plus to the massage. This is our second time and we will be back. Went to this establishment last week. I bought a couples massage off groupon as part of my Mom bday gift. Everyone was very nice, my massage was good(give a 8/10) and the atmosphere was very nice as well... champagne and hershey kiss chocolates were also given. My only issue was how she did the gratuity. Per our convo via phone I asked how much was gratuity and the young lady said 20% of the charge amt (I paid $162 on groupon x 20% which is 32.40). I was given a card that ask how much gratuity and I wrote $35 to round up to make it even. When I got to the counter, she reviewed the paper that had the gratuity amt and took it upon herself to add an additional $9.60(almost $10 more from the 20% gratuity). When I seen $42 for gratuity on her phone before signing it, I didnt bother to go back and forth because it was my Moms day and didnt want to mess it up with this craziness. However, I knew I wouldnt be back after how she got down when it came to tipping because I felt like she tried to play me and act as though she didnt add more to her tip.

Had a wonderful couples massage! Very intent on getting areas of interest worked on. With having had multiple massages before this was very good and got all areas that were very needed for a working military girly. Thank you so much again was wonderful and the price was much less than expected for such a good massage!!!!

Was hoping to find someone great on Groupon for a couples massage. Thank God we did! What a wonderful way to celebrate our wedding anniversary! Tanya and Kayla were amazing bodyworkers, clearly knowledgeable and creative. I was impressed by the variety- hot stones, sugar scrubs, hot towels, and stretching. Those are always extras you have to pay for with most practitioners. The champagne and chocolate at the end was a lovely bonus. We were both very relaxed and pain reduced. As a former MT, I felt safe to relax and enjoy. Thank you again. Cant wait until next time!

First off this place is so fresh and so clean. Now let me tell you about my massage I had today as it was rated amongst one of the Best if not the best Ive ever had.No it Wasnt all that rubbing oil on you and thats it!! She asked what was bothering me and absolutely Conquered every area I told her. The way she folded my arm like a chicken then pulled the shoulder out was so breath taking. I could feel immediate relief. Tanya thank you for your service and Ill be sure to tell everyone about my amazing experience.

I booked an appointment through the website wanting a couples massage. And never got the massage due to her partner having a doctors appointment who is pregnant. I don’t understand why that would be the only help you have. Needs more staff. And better communication, why would somebody that far long pregnant even be doing massages. Didn’t receive my money back or another appointment so I’m disappointed.

I found Tanya through google search and from the first appointment she created the perfect relaxing atmosphere. Her studio is very clean and she uses safety measures regarding Covid.The massage and wood therapy was awesome. Tanya was able to loosen the areas where I was tight. Honesty, her massages are the best. I definitely will be back!

My husband and I finally got a weekend away from the kids. We went here for a couples massage and I was completely relaxing. When you walk into check in, we were instantly calmed. The ambience was perfect. They ladies there were awesome, Friendly, respectful, made us feel comfortable and never rushed us. I have to admit that when I first set foot in the old office building that The Beauty Retreat studio is located in, my expectations were low. This wasnt the posh new facility that I had envisioned when my girlfriend said we were going out for a couples massage. But, Tanya and her staff had come highly recommended by a co-worker and there we were so....Outward appearances be damned, The Beauty Retreat made an impact where it counted, and provided what was arguably the best massage I had ever had. Both my girlfriend and I left completely relaxed and satisfied. The staff was welcoming and courteous, and their studio was clean. Oh, I did I mention the excellent massage? I guess my experienced spoke heavily to the old adage about judging books by their covers. Our experience was excellent and a great value for the money. We will almost certainly be back and most definitely recommend them.

I was a little nervous by the few bad reviews, but the good reviews won me out. I booked a couples massage and holy cow! These girls were amazing!!!! They made us feel welcomed and relaxed instantly. The atmosphere is so well put together so that the energy instantly puts you at ease. The only 2 things I would fix is the signage out front...u guys deserve a big sign. And secondly, a bigger place. You have a great business model and great staff. Time to build that empire girl! Again, highly recommend!!!!

Upon arriving to the studio, it was a little difficult to find because there was no sign out front. Once I found the studio, which is located in one of the suites in the building, I can instantly feel the calmness in the room. The studio’s personnel was very nice and welcoming. The massage was GREAT! There was great, firm pressure used to relax my muscles and focal points. The oil had a great scent and the music was perfect for the setting. Tonya was the Best with her hands and very attentive to my relaxation needs. The facials were great and helped exfolite my skin. After the massages, champagne and chocolate was provided, which was very good. Overall experience was great and the price was even better. I would recommend this place to anyone in need of a relaxing and pampering day.

The atmosphere is great. The masseuses were amazing and we loved what they did. Stayed for an hour after our massage was over just to talk. They really make sure you feel comfortable and welcome. Overall best massage studio we have ever been to. My boyfriend and I will definitely go back! Recommend 10/10

My BF and I were having a rough few days so I looked forward to my massage to not only take away my back and knee pain but to give us some peace as a whole. The ladies were amazing. Their Suite is beautiful and has awesome decor , low lighting and peaceful music. They were very polite and as long as you follow through with confirming there aren’t any issues you can run into with your appointment. (I read reviews abt issues with cancellation). I booked an early morning session which turned out to be perfect I feel ready for the rest of my day!!! Thanks Again Ladies!!! 5 well deserved stars! We will be back, I’m even consider booking the same massage for me and my girlfriends... also I love that a facial massage and hot stones were included. There’s more I could say but you would have to book the 75- minute massage for yourself and find out!!

The ambiance of the studio was very beautiful & relaxing. Tanya & Laquida (i hope i spelled that right) were very inviting & made sure to talk to us about our preferences. Before doinh anything, they were sure to explain everything thoroughly. The room was relaxing. The bed was heated & the music set the mood. I loved every minute of my massage, especially when they used the hot coals. If you are thinking about coming here, book an appointment. You will not be disappointed! I left feeling refreshed & relaxed. This was much needed. Not to mention champagne & chocolates were provided & Tonya recommended places to eat nearby. Very friendly and professional staff!

My bf booked this place for Valentine’s Day for a couple massage and it was perfect. The space is so warm and comfy. Staff was great and inviting. Massages were great from head to toe. We even received wine and chocolate covered infused strawberries. We enjoyed the atmosphere and most importantly the massage. It was a great experience. I can’t wait to go again. I highly recommend.

Whew chile! me and my boyfriend went today for a couples massage and it was so relaxing. walked in, was offered champagne, then filled out a quick form which asked about areas we would like focused on during our massage. then we got started with our lovely massages for an hour and some mins. we didn’t even want to get up afterwards lol. lovely service, will definitely come back again.

A very relaxing atmosphere and polite staff.I visited with my wife as a birthday gift.It took us a while to get an appointment here as they were booked solid, but it was worth the wait.The low lighting and relaxing music create a peaceful and soothing ambiance.The massage room was clean and very organized and the tables are warm and inviting. We were taken care of throughout the whole session with experienced hands and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the hot stone massage and facial we received.We received a great deal from Groupon back in March, I would recommend anyone wanting to book check around for any deals they may have, but be prepared for a long wait, it took us almost 2 months to get an appointment and then a further month when we had to reschedule due to some changes in our availability.Worth the wait though.

Went for a couples massage and it was amazing. As someone who regularly gets massages and stretches, it was hands down the best one I’ve ever had. Will definitely be coming back! Also, the therapists are the nicest people. They invited us to a community event after taking the time to get to know us and our interests.

Very unprofessional I bought a couples massage on Groupon called got it scheduled and she called back the day of and canceled said she was sick never wanted to reschedule & never called back. I got a refund and I will go somewhere else this place sucks

I love this place! I’ve gotten waxing services done at a few places around the metro Detroit area and this place is the best. Waxing hurts but she does such a great job of being quick and making it as pain free as possible. The owner is also a sweetheart. I can’t wait to book a massage from her.

I was scared at first after I bought my 75 minutes couple massage because I read some bad reviews. I used a groupon and it went smooth! The massages were excellent!!! We had Tonya and Yana... both ladies did deep tissue as we asked...super awesome! The couple massage included special foot treatment, face treatment, hot stones, champagne and chocolates.

Our daughter bought us a couples massage package while we were caring for my dying mother-in-law not realizing that we could not do anything as a couple because we could not get the help to watch mom who could not be left alone (our daughter lived out of state). Now that mom has passed away and the idea of a day to relax (we NEED it!!), I called to see if we could use the coupon for a lesser package, however, the owner was unwilling to do anything for us without paying an additional $120-$150 for the exact package. No compromises allowed, all she did was parrot the same words over again as if I were too stupid to hear her refusal. As a business owner myself I know that pleasing the customer, especially potential new/repeat customer, is important. I would not recommend this place, no matter how good the atmosphere or massage may/may not be. Shame On The Owners of this establishment. Heartless people who are supposedly in the business to create a caring and relaxing atmosphere - IF THE MONEY IS RIGHT! What a complete waste of money for our sweet daughter who wanted to make us happy. No Stars from us...but I couldnt post without one!

The place was a little hard to find because there is no sign out front, but once you get inside you instantly enter a calmer state of mind. I had a hot stone massage and facial with Tanya and she was a literal angel. Hands down the best massage I’ve ever had, I was in a complete zen the entire time. Had a great experience with Beauty Retreat Studio! Found them on Groupon and bought the couple massage for my wife and I. Took a couple days to get a hold of to schedule a date for our massage, but once I did, everything was peachy. The massage was fantastic; 75 -min massage consisting of a therapeutic massage, hot stone massage and a facial. Then all concluded with a mimosa and chocolates! What more could you want!? The staff was very professional and courteous throughout the process as well as during the massage. Asked if the pressure was good, stone temperature was ok, if I needed anything specific or any certain areas to target. The studio is located in an office building but dont let that deter you. The studio has multiple rooms and is very cool, calm and relaxing! My wife and I like getting couples massages and also like to try out different spas for the different experiences! Only little hiccup through it all was trying to contact the studio a couple different times to schedule. HEADS UP! Because they have a great business and studio, they book up fast. So dont be surprised if you have to book a month or two ahead of time! You definitely check out Beauty Retreat Studio!

Poor customer service. Stay away if you have nut allergies, studio is completely insensitive to allergy issues. Came here with a Groupon transferred from a friend. We get a sitter, and drive an hour out of our way for a couples massage. We get there and my wife can’t get a massage because all they have is almond oil. They give us a certificate to come back within 2 months. We weren’t able to make an appointment in that amount of time (you know get a sitter and drive an hour out of our way again during the holiday season) and call them up and they tell us we have to give them an additional $150 if we still want to come in. Terrible business practice. $130 down the drain and no service was provided. Completely unethical.

This place is very welcoming. You walk in to a soothing ambience. I had a Brazilian wax done for the first time and Tanya was great. She made me feel comfortable and talked to me the entire time. I will be coming back.

First time client and I was def impressed! Id received a Brazilian wax (1st time) and an underarm waxing and was serviced by Tonya. She was beyond polite and very professional. We talked through out my whole session and you can tell based off her character and personality, that shes really a good person and care for her clients.One thing that def stood out for me was at the time of my payment, I was expecting to pay $50 or so but she asked me if I had a Groupon and I basically told her no. So, she signed me up for a Groupon and I only had to pay $25 plus tip! Mind you, I had a Brazilian wax and underarm waxing done. Now, most businesses wouldve taken the $50 but Tonya was kind enough to sign me up for a Groupon. Now, thats love and I appreciate her for that so thanks again Tonya!

I had my first massage here with Tonya and it was wonderful!! It is a very warm and peaceful environment and I felt very relaxed and well taken care of Tonya was very attentive and made sure I enjoyed my massage from beginning to end. I will be going back in the future!!!

This is my first review ever. Im writing this because Im so upset with the management.I recently moved to Michigan and was looking for a place to get my Brazilian wax. So I decided to book on Groupon and had a terrifying experience with the beauty retreat studio. When I tried booking it over the the phone they miswrote my phone number so I didnt get any confirmation to my number. Hence, I had to call them again and left a voice message as they didnt answer the call. This happened twice and when I finally got a call and booked an appointment. Did I mention that they gave me an appointment 10 days after my first conversation with them? Sadly I was running late due to traffic so called them and told them that I was on my way and the lady who answered the call told me that ” I spoke to my manager and since you missed two of your appointments and this is third you are no longer allowed here ”! Yea! She did say that you are no longer allowed here. I didnt expect them to so rude and disrespectful towards their customers in spite of of their mistake. She spoke as if it was my mistake. It was them who didnt send the confirmation regarding my appointment. When I called back to tell about their mistake she hung up. The lady who was in this conversation was Olivia. I’m so glad that I didnt make it to the appointment. Im least bothered about the money I paid for which I was given the worst hospitality. I think the manager should rethink about the vocabulary for training her staff. I didnt want to give even a single star but couldnt post without one.

VERY DISSAPOINTED!We have bought a groupon for a couples massage. We called to book our appointment in June, and had a date set for September 21st. Mind you, I was very excited, it was supposed to be our first experience like this. 10 days before our appointment, we got a call, that our massage is cancelled. And that the first open date is in January (long after the groupon expires). The only days we have available are the weekends, since both me and my husband work full time, and go to school in the evenings. What is more, the lady my husband talked to on the phone had his name completely wrong, and was not even willing to correct on file. Very unprofessional, and overall repulsing experience. I will definitely not give them any of my business, and I would look for a different place, if you wish to be treated with respect, and like a valued customer.

If I could give them a zero star, I would. This place is ridiculous! First they couldnt get me in for an appointment in a timely fashion so my boyfriend and I had to schedule it and request a day off almost 2 months in advance.The date for our appointment is approaching and were so excited to have a day full of relaxation being pampered. The morning of our appointment, I receive a text message saying my appointment is cancelled because I did not confirm? I confirmed when I made the appointment. When I called to confirm or tried to reply to the text they werent even open. When they called me back they stated they sent one text 3 days ago and since I missed it or thought it was spam and did not reply right away they cancelled the appointment. That is the dumbest thing Ive ever heard, and they refused to keep my appointment time which we took the day off work to have, or assist me in a refund. Then they state they charge the customer a $50 for cancellation? They cancelled on me and thats just ridiculous is they expect the customer to pay that fee. This policy they have in place is awful and their customer service is even worse. I would not recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a relaxing experience. They ruined my day and I will be taking my service elsewhere.

Dont waste your time or money here! Could not get the owner to return my 4 phone calls over a 2 month period to schedule the couples massage. After contacting Groupon, they contacted the owner who finally returned my call listing agent host of personal excuses. Because the owner waited until my Groupon was expired, prior to booking I asked if she was going to honor the full Groupon since I had been trying to schedule for months, way before expiration. At the time she said yes she would, she could understand my frustration. When I called to confirm my appointment and that the Groupon would be honored in full, she replied she does not have a honor Groupons policy about honoring the full Groupon as long as the appointment is made prior to expiration and expected me to pay for the extra person coming to the couples massage. Seems deliberate to avoid returning calls so she can up-charge once you are there. Shady, unprofessional and a complete waste of time for a business I will never step foot in.

Bought the couples massage off Groupon for a friends birthday, and gifted it to her. Since it was bought under my groupon was able to watch when it expired, because if she didn’t book it in time I planned to still go. I called over the phone and booked it on the last day Groupon said it expired which was July 10th, they took down my voucher number and gave me the earliest date they had available. Get here and they say it was expired when I booked and everything is done electronically. If everything is done electronically why was I allowed to book if they claim it was expired! Basically, so since they say it was expired they only offered one massage but told me I can pay the difference for two. Like no I paid for two, and whoever fault it was there’s or Groupon clearly not mine and still didn’t get accomadated! I would not buy another one nor come back because management wise this was unprofessional!

It was my first time doing a Brazilian wax and omg I tell the lady was remarkable she was kind patient and understanding I was so nervous and scared but she talked me through it at first it was hurting a bit but as she talked to me and kept waxing it no longer hurted. I tell u T is the truth I love her and Id definitely refer her to my friends and I will definitely be back.

I called three weeks ago to make an appointment. She made my appointment today October 12, 2017 at 5:30 and stressed that I should be on time since she had a 6 o’clock appointment. I get there after driving an hour from my job in flint and leaving work early all to not have her even answer the door. This is why I can’t mess with ghetto black owned businesses. Unprofessionalism at its finest. Will never go there , don’t care about getting my refund from groupon. Wish I could give negative stars.

Had problems with this place since very 1st phone call & they HATE Groupon so don’t go there with one of those!! Awful**updated** I wasn’t going to write ALL of the details But to make a long story short if anyone wants to know please reach out to me and I will tell you everything that went down here that day. The only thing that happened after we did NOT get our massages is the owner lectured us about how we should tip very well when we come back and we need to tip based on the actual massage not the Groupon price and how no one ever does that and it’s not fair that’s the only thing we heard after she canceled our appointments that we drove really far to get to and waited months to get.....& as far as the car accident goes, the one you said car was totaled, we saw the photo of the crumpled front corner so we kind of knew the person was ok.
