Utilitarian and delightfully mediocre. Location is everything, and the biggest points. Bring your own snacks. But Walmart is walking distance as is a great convenient store. Winter or summer , bring a fan to circulate what the unit puts out. Beds are great , pillows are not. Hard water bad enough the soap won’t lather.

I called Saturday night while I was on the road. I was stuck in the middle of a bad storm. I called to see if they have any availability. And I mentioned I would give a call back. I wanted to see if it was possible to make it. And the person on the phone was terrible. “Why do you waste my time asking for a price if your not gonna make a reservation “ I then said I was planning on to but not anymore if your gonna talk to me like that.Then on the lines he calls me an idiot? Cus I didn’t make the reservation.I have never dealt with someone like this.I’m on the road with my pregnant girlfriend in the middle of a storm I wanted to see if I was gonna be able to make it there.For one just for this. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to reserve here. I had to really hold my self back. I wanted to more than ever show up and confront this dude.

I was going to book online. Luckily I did not. I called the place to see if they had a downstairs room available for me. They said they did. He quoted me 45+ tax if I went straight there and I was gonna do that but he had to call his manager to see if there was a downstairs available. She told him that if it was less than $80 they weren’t gonna let me stay. So I told him I would book online. He told me that it doesn’t matter if it was under $80 he would not let me stay even if I booked online. So they do not honor the online price!!!!! Do not book online!!!!!!!!

Truly impressed, specially for the price. Decent place. Amazing customer service!Rooms are fully equipped with everything you would expect and more. Very clean & spacious room. Water pressure is fantastic.Good location, its within walking distance of gas station, subway, tractor supply, a mechanic, and a bit further up the way theres a Walmart (nice and clean with money gram and Western Union services as well). The town itself is just 40minutes from Abilene, and the people are lovely and diverse. Great place to rest.

They treated me like garbage and they have roaches very big ones bed bugs and ants yall better find somewhere else to stay

Very good priced hotel. I’ve stayed at this hotel many times and I’d say it’s a deal for the price. The staff is very friendly as well. The rooms were very clean and spacious as well. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are passing through the city of Stamford and need to get some rest. One thing I really like about this hotel is how flexible the staff is able to be with reservations. They also offer rooms with kitchen facilities for any travelers who plan on doing their own cooking.

Went to Stamford TCR and stayed one night….I was going to give it great potential when the sign said ‘newly remodeled rooms.’ As I pulled into the parking lot it reminded me of a motel that you’d see in a crime movie. Got the keys to the room and opened it up….yup! The couch was from the 80’s, flower print and no tell what else. The room was clean but there were flies, so bring a fly swatter. Checked the bathroom and you could tell previous occupants had laid their cigarettes on the tub and they left burn marks on the tub. This was a smoke free room! Luckily I brought toiletries because the shampoo/soap dispensers were empty. I will say the towels were nicely folded but every one of them were stained…not white. The biggest plus was the AC…..it got cold in the room. So I’d recommend bringing your own towels, shower shoes, all your toiletries and a fly swatter. The sheets were clean….and I did not find bed bugs. Next time I’d bring my own sheets and blanket. These rooms had not been updated in a while because of the decor, old microwave and refrigerator. Just note…there’s only 2 motels in Stamford TX so it’s a flip of the coin on where you want to stay.

Stayed here on the way to Amarillo. The staff was very friendly, nice clean rooms. If you look for a short stay or if your in town a few days this a great option at the right price.

The rooms were clean, and perfect to fit our very large family . The hospitality was by far the best . The family was more than accommodating to our very large group and we will make sure to continue to book here yearly for the TCR event !! Highly recommend!

Do not stay here. I stayed here for a 3 nights, I paid twice with my bank card and the third time with $100. I woke him up at 7:30-8am to pay for the third night paying with $100 cash to which he gave me back $10. I get an update about my apartment, and decided to pay for 2 more nights. When going in I use my work debit card, and he tells me that my card did not go through that I had NO MONEY.I assured him I did, but he was adamant that he had nothing available. I leave and receive a notification that my work card was charged for $90. I call him back to which he replied “you have no job. You have no money. You did not pay me.” I remind him of how I woke him up early to pay for another night and that he charged me for a night I was not going to stay after he said he didn’t have a room. He then told me to go back and I told him no that I wanted a refund. To which he continues to insinuate that I do not have a job, I told him I could provide my pay stubs and my account statement that he took money from my account after saying it did not work. I continue to tell him I will dispute it and he tells me to go ahead. After going back and forth, I can hear him clicking on his computer to which he replies “I refunded you back. Don’t cry about it.” Do not stay here, this man will knowingly try to steal your money from you and say that you did not pay. I am waiting for that refund, and I will be reporting this. If it is not refunded then legal actions will be taken.

I had to change my review after my daughter and husband texted me about the room after checking in recently. We stayed here last year about 5-6 times. Not sure that we will be doing that this year. We are not hard to please and dont expect much.....just a pleasant family weekend. Maybe these are the older rooms? It is nice to be near a Walmart when you need it. After reading the other reviews, it appears to be under new ownership.

We had been driving all day and night and she had availability when I called so we stopped on by. Her rooms were very nice and clean and recently remodeled. The bed was comfortable and the front desk host was very kind. We are in the area again tonight and we’re planning on driving.until we arrive to Stamford just to spend the night here.

Rooms were comfortable and beds were soft. Plenty of hot water. Had to kill a 🪳 other than that it was a quiet and peaceful place.

Old, tired, dirty hotel. Bed spread had burn holes all over it, the recliner in the room looked like it has never been cleaned in the last 10 years. Definitely not a hotel you want to walk around barefoot in. Will say, the shower has ridiculously strong water pressure.

People are friendly and professional. I guess my stay would have been more comfortable if the circumstances had been different. The room had a unpleasant odor, which I was informed was due to flooding from the unexpected winter storms thawing. Lots of problems in TX at large. My bed was comfortable, which is what I needed for deep sleep. If I should need to come back in town I would stay here again.

Room smelled of sewer gas. Carpet was awful—old and dirty. Dead bugs. Hard mattress. Hotel did not change sheets or replace used linens. My husband had to ask for more towels. No one emptied the garbage cans!!! Only redeeming factor was it was close to family, otherwise, I will sleep in my car.

Do Not Stay here. Got a room cause my trucks got stuck in mud and I regret spending money on this room. Checked in at midnight and left at 4 am. Only at 4am cause I called a taxi to get me otherwise I would have left sooner. Black mold everywhere, mushrooms growing out of the wall, stains in the bath tub, mirror falling off the wall, the bed was unbelievably uncomfortable. Sleeping on the floor would have been better. I am disgusted by this hotel.

We stay here alot! I swear they have the best water pressure in their showers!!! Lol the lady at front desk is always nice even at 3 am. The rooms are clean but, for real.if your want the best long hot shower of your life this is the place to go!!!!

I traveled while working and got tired after traveling 250 miles. Rooms say newly remodeled but need TLC and look as if nothing has been done this century since at least 1999. Room was musty. Pool is no longer in place and filled in with dirt. I was charged $59.95 a night. Pillows where flat and need to go to trash as I ended up using all three. Go to local Walmart and get new pillows at $3.97 or less a piece, they come with a 2 to 3 year warranty. Beds where hard and you could feel springs in places. Spend $399 on a basic king mattress set. Rooms need painting and carpet needs replacing. No breakfast. This place is clearly not worth more than $49.00 a night with tax. Needs to lower their rates to a $36 a night special until they put some money back into it. Next time I am too tired to make it to Abilene, I’ll stay in Haskell or across the street at the Deluxe.

I found no trace of bedbugs, it was decently clean but the sound of vehicles leaving in the wee hours of the morning is definitely an issue here (even with the AC running) due to how closely the vehicles are parked to the doors and windows.

We absolutely loved this hotel!!! The Stamford Inn is the very best place in the middle of Nowhere, Texas. We stopped driving at about 1am & were we surprised by the lovely, pleasing, quiet, CLEAN & perfect. The level of comfort at this lovely Inn was nothing short of stellar. I do not know when I will ever pass that way again, but I will always remember the friendly, kindly, pleasant face that greeted me on that long, trying night :)Thank you so much for a warm, clean bed on what was arguably the worst night of my life.

King size beds in newly remodeled rooms. Very comfortable. Four of us rented four single rooms while in Samford Tx. Extremely pleased with what we rented. Owner/Manager will go out of his way to make you feel comfortable. Very nice place.

Simple rooms that get the job done. We stay at Stamford Inn when we come to town to visit relatives. The rooms are clean and fairly quiet. HD televisions but on SD cable. Microwave and small refrigerator in the rooms. Water pressure is great in the shower with plenty of hot water. King beds need new mattresses but rooms with 2 queens are better. More outlets needed for todays technology. Overall fills the needs of a small town. We will stay again.

As I was driving home on the 4th of July, I had my 2 year old in the back seat and he was tired and cranky!! We were only an hour and a half from home, but he needed to get out of that car! He wanted a nap so bad I stopped in and the sweet lady at the front desk gave me a very reasonable rate to go in to one of the rooms and take a nap with my boy!! I will never forget her generosity!!

I’ve stayed at the Stamford Inn a couple of times. Daniel is always awesome and accommodating. Any time I visit Stamford, I have no qualms about staying at the Inn thanks to the service I’ve received during my stays at the motel.

We have stayed many nights here and everyone is so very kind and helpful! Rooms are GREAT and clean! Dont pass this place if you want a nice room and an amazing nights sleep!!!

Great place for dove hunters to stay. Very accommodating when people in your group back after the last minute. Nina is so understanding and thoughtful. We had a great opening weekend of dove season this year and Stamford Inn help make it great. Thanks again guys!!!

Worst experience ever. Its 3:50 am and Ive been trying to get my money back they wouldnt answer at the front desk but the bed bugs were horrible..... me and my family will never stay here again. I hope yall do the right thing and return my money.

Stamford is a really small town in West Texas. I was raised here and my Mom still lives here in assisted living. I always stay at the Stamford Inn when visiting because they are so accommodating. The room is always clean with a microwave, refrigerator and a very comfortable bed!Walmart is not far. There are several places to eat nearby with a Subway actually in the same parking lot.

If you are looking for a great place to stay, this is it. The owners are friendly and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. It is also close enough to do activates with the family in towns nearby.

We have stayed here before and had no problem but upon making reservations for my husband, the lady was extremely rude, yelled and said she was in the shower and had a customer and hung up on my husband. When my husband called back to get a confirmation number, she yelled again “111” and hung up on him. Horrible customer service!!!

Nice place to stay with the only Walmart close by for miles. Reason for 4 stars is when they would clean the rooms they turn of ac and I get hot, other then that I liked it.

Was about the only place in town that wasnt full up stayed 3 days to visit family. Nothing fancy just a decent place to sleep, beds are OK. Just old and needs to be updated.

Weary travelers from Indiana, headed home,. Last overnight sleep in Texas. I cried that morning. I didnt want to leave. Heavy rains overnight knocked out power, I ate my leftovers from Pizza Hut in the room with my tac flashlight 🔦. Ready to visit again!!

My Aunt (83 years old) stayed at this hotel over the Christmas holiday. Although the accommodations were acceptable, the service was horrible! On one occasion she was having trouble with the lock and asked for help. The person (female) that finally showed up was very rude and short with her. When she tried to check out there was nobody around...after knocking on the locked lobby door several times and getting no response she sounded her car horn....still no response. During this the outside temp was below freezing!! At that point she called me and I called. A rude female answered and the situation was finally resolved. I live in Stamford and will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Lady in office was nice but it was really scary there was lot traffic in and out next to me and above me and one them was fighting or something I kept hearing woman cry n yell and loud noises. Plus I had gotten lost took wrong turn to even end up passing thru that town dang it. I kept tryn Google directions for in the morning and this awful story bout a little girls murder some years precious hangs over that tiny Town and in the news feed its all Missing person or Reported arrests for Human and Drug Trafficking. Plus idk if it was due to the Hurricanes that hit Mexico or wildfires in California but the sky was not clear at all in the day it wasnt cloudy either it almost like Chemicals in air and I kept getting an emergency weather alert that the air quality where I am is unsafe and the air had orange, blue, some green tint to it as the sun shines thru it and it was windy.

Well over all not a bad place to stay by could be kept up better ....like in the room i stayed in there was stains on floor and the wall behind the rocking chair was all dinged up and there was hair in bath tub ....so could be kept up better

We stayed five days . Convenient location, midway between downtown and Walmart with a Subway on site. Owners were helping and cordial, evenly priced

Passing thru.When passing thru make stops to the local mom and pop stores. In this town they have a theater and its Free Admissions currently due to Covid-19 . So call to get the movie schedule in Stamford, Texas. Theater is in the square. I know that in the square they have small shops sell herbal homemade soaps. I personally tried them. They work wonders on your skin. Theres a BBQ spot called Irenes. I love them ribs!

DID NOT stay there because the girl on the phone was very rude. As short as she was on the phone, no telling the service. Decided to stay elsewhere.
