Star Thai Massage

This is my preferred massage spot in Sunnyvale. As someone whos fairly athletic and in my early 30s, I often find that most places cant apply enough pressure for muscle relief. However, this place is exceptional. The staff are all professionally trained and strike a perfect balance between power and comfort throughout the session. While it may be a bit pricey, the quality of service is worth it. They make the experience easy with no upselling or pressure around tipping. Communication is clear, and the receptionists are consistently friendly and welcoming.

Absolutely amazing! The place is nice and clean. The staff is very professional and courteous. Ive been getting professional massages for over 20 years and this is hands down one of the best Ive ever had. Try 90 min traditional Thai massage.

Since last week I had left hand shoulder pain, then I came to know about the Thai massage and their services. I chose deep tissue massage for an hour (120$) which was worth for the price. But as my body released more and more stress, i started feeling alive.I paid for an hour, but she worked on my body for 1+ hour. $20 tip feels less in hindsight.Great experience.

Very good experience. Jenny is very sweet and caring, she checks on the pressure and the part where I need more help so I got a very awesome experience. The tea at the reception is very tasty, should try when you go there.It was a little confusing since my schedule was changed to 10 minutes after the schedule time, around 30 minutes prior to the appointment. But I still have the full experience and didnt lose anytime for the massage.

Honestly, this was one of the best massages Ive ever had. I did the 90 minutes Thai Combination massage with Rachel, and she was incredible—very aware of what was going on with my body as she went and took the time to work through tight areas. Plus, the location is in a safe neighborhood, quiet, very clean, well appointed, and efficient. Highly recommend!

Shout out to an awesome service…I found Star Thai Massage while surfing for a good place near by with reasonable pricing and was very happy after spending an hour with Proshar. My recommendation is hot stone massage for trigger points relaxation. This will be my to go place for massage from now on.

Same day appointment was wonderful. First time trying a massage here. I requested the deep tissue massage, however, I got some stretching and the CBD option. It was worth the price. I felt wonderful after my massage and the next day my pain level was down.I cant wait to go again for a massage.

Been here a few times. Liked the massage. The performance is not always consistent though. I always chose to focus on the head. There was one time the head massage was really good, but the most recent time the massage therapist just quickly went through the head. Didnt feel the focus at all.

I pass by Star Thai Massage every day on my way to work. The business always looks clean and inviting. I finally decided to make an appointment for a massage, and I was not disappointed. The staff was very professional and friendly. It was a completely relaxing experience. I had a 90-minute aroma oil massage and left feeling like a new person. I highly recommend Star Thai Massage.

I would not recommend this place as I ended up having a bad lower back pain after the masseuse stood on my lower back to warm up my body for a deep tissue massage. I did not ask for a Thai massage. Also, I have had Thai massage in other places including Thailand and I can say this masseuse did a super crude version of Thai massage to warm up my body. The place is clean and would have been a good experience if not for the increasing lower back pain I have been having since the massage, in a particular spot where she stood on my lower back. Not to mention time and money spent to end up with more pain than before.

As a retired medical doctor and surgeon for many years I’ve taken massages in various areas throughout America. It was not until I experienced massages at the Star Thai Massage that I realized what an exceptional massage can really offer my body. All the massage therapist there are exceptional and can read every area of tension and stress within my body. The manager-owner and receptionist, Penkawee is very polite and efficient and knows how to run the best facility to have your massage. It is exceptionally clean and sanitary, and reminds me of the operating rooms in which I had performed surgery over the years. Chronic stress as physicians now know is a major cause of most chronic illnesses and also depresses the effectiveness of the immune system, which is critical in today’s time. So many people are carrying stress within their body of which they are totally unaware. And after an excellent massage they then realize how impaired their body was and now feel years younger and more healthful. A weekly massage at this facility will enhance your aliveness.

For starters it is likely my fault for not googling what a Thai massage was before booking but the way they describe it on the website sounded great. However I was not expecting to be walked on or bruised up during my massage. I have multiple bruises on my arms and legs from the roughness of my massage. I communicated a few times that the massage was a bit painful and to go a little lighter, but the massage continued to be pretty painful. On top of that I could hear the person next to me moaning (which is my personal issue) but definitely added a layer of discomfort for me. There are thick curtains between you and the next massage room, but they do not block out sound or give the level of privacy that I was looking for. Ultimately my knots are gone and I feel loosened up just a little bruised lol. I wish there was a little more of a disclaimer regarding the Thai massage so that I could have made a better decision when booking, acupressure massage sounds like a nice deep tissue massage not being walked on a having someone’s elbow and foot on my neck.

Had a great Thai Massage experience. The place was clean and quiet. The owner and staff were very pleasant and accommodating.My therapist used a combination of traditional Thai massage and deep tissue massage to reduce the tension in my muscles and provide a good stretch. I left feeling very relaxed and had very good nights sleep. This was just what I needed after a long flight.

I wish I could do this more often. I did the traditional for 1 hour and TK did a really good job, I feel reborn. I opted for the strong option because I like the pain but its definitely very strong, not for everyone.The place was clean and much quieter than Sawadee which I appreciated. They have you change your pants and remove your shirt. Youre completely covered with a sheet most of the time but half of the session was with lotion or oil. They wipe you down after with a warm towel.

I had a 90 minutes deep tissue massage with the masseur named Dan. He was incredible and was able to removed my knots around my neck. I walked out feeling light! I will definitely ask for him again.The location of this massage place is in a safe area. The place is clean, and high class with nice soothing music.By the way, the tea is really good too, and thus this picture :-)

I came for a traditional Thai massage for 90 minutes session. My massuuse, Lek is very efficient she found all my tight spots. I feel so relax afterward. The place smell amazing. I’m impress with the beautiful interior design. Love the music, so relax. Highly recommended.

I had a 60 min massage with Amy. She was very attentive to the areas that i was experiencing tightness and pain in my back. The pressure was perfect and I left feeling renewed. The facility was very clean and parking was easy. I highly recommend Star Thai and Amy! Thank you!

As a massage therapist myself, I often get judge-y and have a hard time receiving. Not this time!! TK was amazing! I got a 1 hr swedish. I cannot wait to come back and try the other modalities.The only downside is it is not a closed off space and you can hear people at the front desk. Still, better than most.

Star Thai Massage is a great place to get massage. If you never had a Thai massage , you should try it! It’s a combination of yoga like stretch and deep tissue depending on the pressure you request. I work from home pm computer all day. I always have bad shoulder and neck pain. This is my go to place.

Of all the Thai massages that I’ve received all over the Earth this tops it. Tanya, who was my therapist knew exactly what she was doing and she focused on all the key areas. She offered deep traditional experiences and managed the right level of pressure to work on my problem areas. I’ve been less than happy with what I was getting at other places in the Bay Area and felt like I was being shafted for the price At star Thai Massage you’re getting more than your money’s with. I slept like a baby and woke up rejuvenated the next day. I’m booked out on a weekly 2 hours session for the next four months.

Pressure strong enough to break up the muscle knots. But unfortunately, no sensitivity. There was too much pressure on some places causing muscle damage and bruising. I said “too much” but it was still strong. Two days after massage, I have eye pain. Because of strong in the back of my neck with his elbow, a strong pain ran to my right eye. Eye pain remains.Price advertised on the Internet $59 before 2 PM. I came at 1 PM and was charged $70.Strong pressure in my shoulder helped to break up all the scar tissue. That was good.The problem is lack of sensitivity. Therapist needs to know how much pressure to use and not just do 100% full power for everything. My triceps were not sore but he put very strong pressure there and caused lasting pain where there was none.

I have so much back pains as an ICU nurse, decided to make an appointment out of the blue for the closest massage place and I hit the jack pot. Kat was awesome and I cant wait to back. I could feel the knots easing up as she applied pressure. A freaking miracle worker

I was in desperate need of a massage and luckily I found this spot and got an appointment the next afternoon. I was having an issue with a muscle around my neck that was affecting mobility. I made the appointment on their website and my appointment was confirmed via text.Before you go into the room, youre given a clipboard to circle the area of your back or front that you want the masseuse to work on as well as indicate how strong you want the massage to be and type of massage. I circled my problem area and selected strong Thai massage. The massage felt so good! She found knots in my muscles and worked on them, checking in with me regularly to make sure it wasnt uncomfortable.The Thai massage also involves some stretching, so youll feel the masseuse pull your arm over your back and bend your legs to stretch you out.Parking: free, available on the street (its a small neighborhood)

I will never come back here.I made appointment yesterday and very clear saying i only accept female masseur，however i was told that there is not any available female masseur when i arrived. The director doesn’t explain anything to me and not even try to let me know the situation before I come. She just tries to force me to accept a male masseur. I tell her that I would not like accept a male masseur, then she said: “ i don’t know why you don’t accept a male, I’m okay with a male.” I can’t believe what I heard on that moment. Not choosing a male is my personal choice, she shouldn’t blame me about it and and her words also makes me think that I’m a weird person. So I left immediately that place.Later then, the owner contacted me make an apology and explain the female stuff has an emergency situation. That is why there is not an available female masseur.I totally understand this situation and I do not blame that masseur at all. But the director should let me know first, we can reschedule it.Again, the most upset thing is the director doesn’t respect my personal choice which is not choosing a male masseur.I’m really upset about it, I will not visit this place anymore.Answer to owner:Whatever you heard from your director, I will tell you the whole story and I will not reply you anymore then, it doesnt worth to spend longtime on it.The most important thing is “ As a woman, i only want to have a female masseur to touch my body, especially I will mostly naked during the massage, it doesn’t matter how good your male masseur is!” This is my right, my personal choice, I deserved a respectful attitude in any massage place.Additionally, the director obviously not paid any attention on my appointment information. An emergence situation happened, she doesnt explain the situation to me when I arrived. There is No apologies, no explanation, she just told me the finally result, there is no female masseur.Here is the conversation between us:She said: “ I don’t have any available female masseur right now.”I said: “ Ah...how could be, so what can we do?”She said: “I don’t know.” Then she gave me the form and asked me fill out meanwhile she was using the phone, she said Fill out this form please.This form is about what kind massage to choose, I was thinking, how can I fill the form out if Im not sure I can have a correct massage today. So I sat on the bench, wait for her finish her call. I supposed she called the masseur but I don’t really sure about it because she spoke Thai on the phone.After the call, she said there is no female masseur, then she said: “ I don’t know why you don’t want a male masseur, I’m okay with a male masseur.”The director is not “ nice “ at all when she says this, her face looks like that I really bother her, give her a trouble, and I’m a difficult person because I couldn’t accept her propose. Her whole attitude makes me feel all are my fault. I should feel sorry. You can only feel it when you are face to face to her on that moment, nobody is able to use the words to tell if the feeling is right after the moment, I bet everyone has this experience in the life.Your director may be nice because she tries to take over the appointment to give me a massage, but meanwhile she also tells me that she is very busy and she has a lot of things to do such as a test or something else.As a client, I will pay about $150 here for relaxing my body, I would not pay it for having a busy person and also questioned my personal choice.Finally, this is not true about you acted unprofessionally and you raised your voice in the establishment, which was really unnecessary at all.Im your client not your staff, I have right to explain my upset but not being professionally. Otherwise, I only used serious tone to let your director knows that I would not accept a male masseur and she shouldnt blame me at all about my personal choice.Im happy about the words you texted me, but not appreciate the words you used here, I was a loyal customer, but not anymore.

I’ve tried so many different types of massage, including deep tissue, Sweden and relaxation. None of them works as good as Thai massage. My neck and shoulder finally feel relaxed.

Went to get Thai massage to day at Star Thai massage. The place is cleaned and seem to be Covid complianced. I picked the combination course which is traditional Thai massage and deep tissue oil massage. It felt so good afterwards. I will definitely go back again.
