Janet is my favorite therapist at Sunnyvale. She’s skilled, professional and consistent. She’s helped to relieve some problem areas for me and I’ve been feeling so much better. I would definitely recommend her to anyone!

Jenny gives such a relaxing massage! She has the perfect balance of harder pressure when needed but backing off before it’s too intense and blending it with relaxing massage. Also she is incredible at the scalp massage!

Lily is amazing! She helps me so much with my daily stress and tensions. I love how they have their billing cycle which encourages me to come in for my massage. Let’s be honest, we always put our self’s last, and this is the best way to ensure I come in at least once per month. Thank Massage Envy and Thank you Lily!

I have been a loyal client to massage envy for years. When I visited this location to get a massage, there was a snafu with the schedule and they did not book the time we agreed upon. I booked with Edgar (Good masseuse, who also works in Redwood City Location) And I showed up and they had someone booked in the slot I booked. They were unaccommodating and unwilling to work with me other than giving me a different masseuse, which I was not willing to gamble on. Booking with Edgar is worth your time, but I would highly recommend doing it at the Redwood City location.

Madison is amazing! She does such a lovely job of providing a relaxing atmosphere and helping me understand and love my skin better!! I appreciate that she only ever suggests products when she thinks its necessary or I ask about new products to try, she never tries to sell me on anything like Ive had with other providers! In short, Madison is fabulous and I love my sessions with her every time!

I had a regular full body massage here and am quite disappointed. I purchased a “60 minute massage” but only got 50 min of massage time. When I asked about it, they said 10 min is for dressing/undressing. The massage was of average quality. Another disappointing factor was that I was very cold during the massage, which felt very uncomfortable. Also, they did not ask what type of oil I would prefer at the beginning, therefore I assumed they were going to use some regular massage oil, but they used lotion instead, which didn’t feel good at all. I won’t go there a second time.

5 stars for Cindy she is always amazing …. But the sheets feel scratchy and cheap compared to how they used to be back when I was member. That fact deterred me from signing up again on the membership

Alberta has been the best massage I have recieved at this location. She was amazing. Wont be booking appointments with anyone but her in the future.

They rejected to serve me for 27 minutes late and charged me the full fee. I got super angry at their attitude. I booked a 60 minutes massage appointment from 3-4pm. I was 27 minutes late (my bad, just forgot) but when I called them saying I will come now (5 minutes distance for me to be there) they said they wont serve me as after 3: 15pm and I will be viewed as no cancel no show up and charge me the full 60 minute fee $90. My point is, If I booked this one hour, that time should be mine. They charged me but rejected to serve me. I am super angry. I asked for the term I signed (I remember I signed on a paper iiuc, but I received an electronic one), there is no 15 minutes late reject service policy.This membership has been a burden to me, they charge me every month automatically and I have to there and cant be late. I said I want to cancel the membership, they said I need to pay the next 9 months membership fee.

Massage was fine but the hot stone is not great. The stones dont stay hot since since they heat them in an electric box rather than the crock pot they did before. The lady is constantly reheating the stones so she doesnt line thm up on my back anymore. Not her fault. She does the best she can with what she is given and I am too lazy to find another place. Staff are pleasant besides one lady.

I went in to see Li because I had thrown my back out the week before, and still had a lot of tightness. She was amazing! My back feels 1000% better!

Excellent experience. Worked on all the trouble spots. Heated rocks therapy really calmed my tight back muscles

Betty is amazing. She is gentle where I need it since I have neck and back problems. I always feel better after one of her massages.

For those considering a membership with this organization, I advise caution. Their use of various policies may lead to primarily serving their interests rather than yours. Its wise to thoroughly research and consider your options before committing — or not committing at all.I experienced this firsthand when my membership was terminated, causing the loss of over 20 credits, simply because my card was stolen and I didnt agree to a starting new 6-12 month membership to be able to recuperate my previous credits.

My masseuse did an excellent job getting out the knots and giving yet another relaxing massage. ME makes it so easy to book a massage, even at the last minute. Great staff!

Had a 60 minute session with Janace and she has magically therapeutic hands. She is the best!

Madison is an amazing esthetician she is very professional and also knows her area of work, she is very welcoming as well as delicate with your face. She takes a lot of pride in her work as I can tell coming from one professional to another. Im very pleased with her service as well as being able to feel comfortable enough to share my thoughts on my skin care routine.I really enjoy massage envy and the business that they provide. The wonderful ladies in the check-in/lobby are so awesome and welcoming. They make you feel super comfortable (even when youre rushing to get to your appointment and all you could find is sweatpants) 😉Im very pleased and happy with the overall service that I get, with my membership, my facial therapist (esthetician) as to the reason I am signed up and will continue my yearly membership as it is beneficial to my overall health and confidence.

This was my first time to Massage Envy. I made an appointment because Id strained my lower back last weekend. Facility is clean and modern. The check-in was quick and easy. My masseuse, Edgar, was very good. He was strong enough to do enough of a medium to deep tissue massage. I felt great when I left. I even signed up and bought a 6-month package and Im looking forward to going again.

Alyssa at the front desk is super sweet, quick, attentive and personable. Jenny, my therapist, concentrated on my pain area and really worked the deep tissue. Im a mess so Im so happy she really helped. Thanks, Sunnyvale ME!

Lily had apparently joined just recently (this review is for 6/9/24). My massage was relaxing overall, and I particularly liked what she did with my arms and neck. She checked in about the pressure, as expected. Language was a tiny bit of a barrier, as it is with other massage therapists there, as theyre not native English speakers. When I said I was hot and asked if the table heat was on, she actually turned it on. But we got it sorted out.I wish there was a way to write an additional review, instead of overriding my previous one. I guess I should have just added more to the bottom of my previous one...

I have been going to this location for a few years. I have one therapist that totally matches my massage preferences - Jenny is great. I try to make it for a massage about once a month, and I feel like her style totally matches my needs. Thanks!

Jenny is an amazing massage therapist. She is so intuitive. She can feel where my knots and muscle tension is. She works on those areas and continues to access the muscles to make sure the tension is relieved. I was skeptical about massage envy but honestly every massage therapist has been amazing. I have gone to two locations and not been disappointed.

I had an amazing massage. The masseuse paid attention to detail. She really knew where to find the knots and work on them. I felt really amazing after. I have a Massage Envy that was close by me but they were booked so I went to Sunnyvale and I wouldn’t mind traveling again just to see the same masseuse. She did a great job.

Cindy was INCREDIBLE! I’m 7 1/2 months pregnant with very swollen feet and legs. She instantly went to work by creating heat and moving the facia giving my legs much needed attention and movement of fluid. I’m so impressed I’m going back every week until I deliver!

It’s a Great place totally relaxing a lil far away but still worth the Drive

Cindy is a great therapist. Deep tissue is definitely her forte. I felt a lot of relief after the massage. There were times when she could’ve gone a little bit slower with the deep work because my muscles tensed up. It’s important to check in with the client to make sure the pressure is OK, which she didn’t really do. The draping didn’t feel very secure, but it didn’t bother me. I wish she had done scalp massage. That would have been awesome. If she made those few adjustments, she would be A+ in my book. Overall, it was enjoyable and relaxing. I hope to definitely book with her again. Front desk staff were friendly as well.

She was perfect for the pressure I needed.It was very soothing, and Jenny’s demeanor added another level of ease and comfort to the massage. She is just amazing at what she does !I tried a hot stone massage with Janet and I felt my body and my mind just being so calmed and relaxed during the entire session. I have massage in Sunnyvale. Betty is the one i always have. I lost her contact years ago & was excited to meet her here in Sunnyvale!Her touch is just right & hit my sore areas. I prefer ‘medium’ for relaxation; and she just did it perfect. I fell into sleep even!She respects customer privacy, comfort (warm the bed in cool weather), place is clean is a must & plus!Betty knows all the pressure points well. Massage Envy has been providing the best experience for me from past 9 years now! Although therapists kept changing after certain years, the management always remained consistently good. I usually had a same massage therapist for a certain duration until they left and Management helped me choose appropriate therapist each time. Over the years, I recommended this location to a my friends and family and everyone has been happy and continued being member.

First off you cant even make an appt without giving your card info over the phone or website. Not a fan but fine. When I arrived, no one discussed with me what type of massage I wanted or needed at the counter. No one mention or asked length of time I was paying for other than to tell me during her sales pitch an hour was $60. I got a 45min massage with a women who was nice enough. No complaints about her work but I had never been there b4 and she also didnt ask me one question. The price was now somehow $140 which immediately gave me anxiety because they had my card on file. If I had not spoken up, I would have been paying just that. The massage was fine but I came for relief not to play vague games and get cheated. Ill pass on another visit.

Jenny has been working on me a few times now. She has been able to take all the knots out of my shoulders. I will now only go to her. She is great!

Friendly front desk staff, clean facility, and Emma was absolutely fantastic! She is so skilled and has the most pleasant disposition! She is highly skilled with her awareness to nerve and tendon locations. She helped to free up the nerve roots down my spine, and smoothed out the muscle fibers in my low back. I feel so much better and I cant wait to return!

Jenny is one of the best massage therapists I have ever known. She is the one I seek when I come to massage envy. She is excellent with deep tissue massage and also very intuitive. Her communication is pretty good and she is very respectful. She has helped me a lot with neck and shoulder tightness and injuries in my foot. I totally recommend Jenny at Sunnyvale Massage Envy.

Ive had 3 appointments the last 3 weeks with Polly. This is my first experience with massage, and she has done a great job of checking in with me on comfort, pain level, temperature, etc. Ive had a very tight neck and back and shes done excellent work to help loosen things up!The facility is clean, they accept health benefit cards, and the add ons to the massages are nice. Great customer service. Ill continue to come back

I have been seeing Jenny for shoulder and neck tension. She does a great job every time, working through the tight muscles. She is kind and friendly, always listens to my needs. I highly recommend her!

I visited Massage Envy Sunnyvale last week. The service was fantastic! The experience was great. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, getting me checked in quickly. While I waited for my therapist, they had hot tea and water, and a.nice space to wait. The masseuse came quickly and asked what type of massage I would like. I was there for a 90 minute session, during which time the masseuse was very professional, asking occasionally if she was performing the massage like I was expecting, whether I wanted more pressure or less, if there were particular areas I needed worked on. Once the massage was done, it was a quick checkout, and I was done. All in all, a great experience, I will definitely go again!

Always a great experience at Massage Envy Sunnyvale. From the moment you walk in, to the actual massage, excellent customer service. My massage therapist Jenny is amazing, she always finds and targets the problem areas. I always leave feeling refreshed.

I go here for facials and love Madison. A few issues with cancellation by her but I do not have a flexible schedule and that can make rescheduling a challenge. I always find the front staff to be very friendly.

Got introduced to Massage Envy through a Yelp Elite event at the Santa Clara location. I connected well with one of the therapists, Edgar, and decided to follow him to the Sunnyvale location.Massage Envy, surprisingly, does take insurance. So if your insurance covers therapeutic massage, definitely work with the staff to make sure youre covered! You will be the one who needs to submit the claim with your insurance to get reimbursed.Staff is friendly. I like the Sunnyvale location since parking is easy and staff makes everything easy for you. Edgar has definitely helped me rehab my body. His deep tissue massage is DEEP. He is very strong :D I always get beat up by him, but the relief post massage is why I keep coming back! You definitely feel a difference after.The environment is very relaxing. Massage tables are heated. Rooms are clean. The front desk is good, place is clean however the massage itself - not worth the amount… you really have to guide them at each step and sometimes they don’t understand Cz of the language barrier. They will focus in one zone only and breeze past the rest of the areas you wanted focus on. They say head massage is included in the 90 minute, I badly needed it, communicated to the lady, but still didn’t get it Cz time ran out. There’s only so much you can do as a customer. You come to relax and not guide them in the whole session.

Had a 90 minute session with Arik…Honestly one of the better massages I have had in a long while! He asked if there was any focus area, took care of it, but did so as part of an overall relaxing, thorough massage. Time flew by and I left more relaxed, less stressed, and without knots in my shoulder. I will definitely be back!

Pros: Relaxing environment. My massage therapist Ming was very friendly, kind, and personable.Cons: I came for a deep tissue massage, but received a very light massage, so felt that my $80 was wasted. I marked #3 (pretty deep, hard massage) in the massage scale. The beginning of the massage was very light, but I thought the massages start light and then get deeper later, so waited a while. After 45 min. and massage not getting any harder, I asked the therapist to do it much harder. She said she had asked me in the beginning of the massage if it was ok. Its true that she kept asking Is it ok? Is it fine? but I thought she just was asking if I was fine. What she meant was, Is the pressure ok? Can I go harder? And what I was supposed to have responded was, No, I would like it harder.So I communicated very very clearly that I wanted it super hard, but she said that I looked so small and that hard massages are for big guys. I may look small but Im very athletic and have firm muscles so, I insisted that I wanted it hard and have a high pain tolerance and even my husband cant massage me hard enough and that is why I came and paid for a massage. Finally she did it hard but we only had 5 minutes left. I walked away with knots in my back and great disappointment in the time and money I lost. There seems to be a no refund policy.

I had the best massage from Betty. She worked out the knots in my back and neck. I like deep massages and she was perfect. I have a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders and have migraines and she was perfect for working out the knots in my neck. . I highly recommend Betty and will be coming back!!

Jenny is one of the best massage therapist Ive experienced. My husband and I are Jennys loyal clients. She helped heal my IT band and neck shoulders issues.

They charge by time here, and when my therapist, Cindy, didnt come to get me at 4pm, I mentioned it at front desk and she condescendingly said that it was just a few minutes past four. After five minutes I went back, worrying Id have to deal with her mocking again but she went to check and said that Cindy was still with her client and she could give me a discount because I wouldnt be getting my full time. I decided to just cancel it. Id driven all the way for this appointment for 30 min and if I were to cancel, they would have charged a cancellation fee but they can just get away with anything. Wont be coming back to this location again.

I’ve been a client to this Massage Envy location for over 12 years. I brought my daughter in for a couples Mother massage which I scheduled my regular therapist. Such a disappointing massage and upsetting experience.1. I was not notified prior to my appointment that they had switched my therapist. I wasn’t even given a choice.2. The therapist (Jinyi) that attended to me appeared that she was not properly/formerly trained at any massage school. This massage was an epic miss. Her massage technique, lacked any proficiency, her strokes were choppy, and even the simplest draping technique was couldn’t be accomplished.I’m serious considering skipping the Sunnyvale location all together and canceling my membership. I seriously am starting to question whether the Sunnyavle location uses formally trained therapists or just just worker’s that you can find at any typical a Foot Massage place. You may want to reconsider this location if they treat a long time member this shabbily.

I’ve had massages before, this was the first time I’ve ever been to a massage envy. Arik took care of me, that day. He is extremely professional and yet comfortable. The conversation was good but the massage was excellent. I had a problem in my lower neck and shoulders, Arik took care of it and he took great care of me. I expressed that I wanted to come back and see him but he’s moving in march. Guess this will be his last month. So if you want to get a great massage, you have a month left.A BIG thank you to Arik and massage envy. You have a new client.Daniel

Jenny always gives me the best massage ever! I can hardly walk afterwards, I’m so relaxed! I have had many massages over the years, and Jenny, without a doubt, is at the top of my list.

They have been charging my credit card month after month, some sessions I did use and many did not under the membership. During Covid too the charge continued. When asked to provide the account statement, they kept giving a runaround, and now simply say I was rude on my last visit on Saturday as I had requested the statement again that day. Today get a call from some one called Martha saying cannot provide service to me no more. Mind you still did not give me my statement.

Bad customer service, and questionable business practices. They quoted a lower price and then charged me almost double after the service without first notifying me. They cited that the guest I had bought the massage for has used their services before in the past and hence I needed to pay more. It would have been great If they checked this at the time of check in rather waiting for the service to end and then dropping the news on me. Needless to say I wont be going there again.

Facial was excellent! The esthetician informed me what she was doing and the benefits of each application. Will return every month for a facial with this esthetician! Thank you 😊

Ming might be one of the best masseuses I’ve ever encountered. Strength and subtlety all at once. Felt great afterwards. Lower back felt so much better. Very upbeat person as well!

Not for me. Not relaxing experience especially when people chatting next door when you are trying to relax during massage and when massage therapist putting cold lotion on the warm body ((( quality of massage is not so great either. Felt like rushing and didn’t have a full 60min massage as promised. No medical history reviewed before starting the procedure.

Cindy is truly a practitioner of the healing arts, and really delivered on the self-care that my body was in dire need of. She intuitively focused on areas where I hold most of stress, tension, and has physically and mentally restored me for the week. Thank you Cindy!

Jenny is my go to, every time my body feels out of whack. Such a great resource to have, especially over the holidays. I saw her 2x this month, once after a long day of making tamales and another after a weekend of hosting a birthday party and making cookies. She makes my body feel normal again!

Ive been to Massage Envy for a massage - was here yesterday for the first time for a facial with Madison.Soooo relaxing - my skin felt great afterward and today. Definitely will go back.

I prefer a place that treats the customer with consideration.The receptionist offered to schedule me appointment with Adam. I said that I would consider getting a massage with a male therapist but I was a little bit hesitant. But she hung up on me immediately when I said that. I called back but could only get voicemail so I left a message.I understand that I’m supposed to enjoy a massage with a male therapist. But personally, I feel more comfortable to get massage from female practitioners. That does not mean that I want special service. I don’t want to explain why or provide any evidence of past experience. Also, they should not hang the phone up without sayinganything just because I prefer a female therapist.

I tried a few different massage places in Sunnyvale and Massage Envy is by far the best. Poly is a master of deep tissue massage and knows where every tendon in the body is, she has an uncanny knack of knowing exactly which muscles and tendons are sore or out of place. Poly has helped me so much with my recovery and I am very grateful. I am going to try another masseuse next week because poly is all booked up, but if shes even half as amazing as Poly Ill be happy.

I add an appointment with Xiaoping (Koko) and even though I was only going for a full body, she was able to identify some issues in my shoulder blades and proposed a small treatment for them. I felt cared by because she went above and beyond and my shoulder blades are thankful!

I love coming here. The staff are welcoming and all the therapists are top notch. I prefer a massage with no talking and the bed turned up high and they always make sure that happens without me having to ask

I travel everyday for more than three hours to-fro to my work place and also recently had a trap muscle pull too. So visited the Sunnyvale Massage Envy and the therapist Julie did a very good back-shoulder-neck massage. Felt so relaxing and got another appointment booked for next week. :)

They are good as long as you have subscription with them, but as soon as you want to cancel your subscription they will tell you all the reasons and contract which they never mentioned and in-fact gave false information that you can cancel it anytime, but now even after 8 months they tell that you cannot cancel it before 12 months. I asked them very clearly that can I cancel it anytime and manager told me yes you can but now they are telling me that no you cannot. And in-fact I have to initiate my cancellation request before 1 month of my 12-month mark, and if you miss that you are locked in again for 12 months.

Cynthia is really good at working out knots while still being relaxing. I also see Madison for my mens facials and shes great! Definitely worth checking out. Membership saves you money.

Had several massages here and several facials. Really relaxing experience. Massage therapists really listen and apply the right amount of pressure for you. They really helped work out my tension and knots in my shoulders and back. Facials here are great too, left having my skin feeling and looking rejuvenated. Friendly front desk and staff. I just had a wonderful massage by Edgar at the Massage Envy in Sunnyvale, Ca. I have recently been experience back pain on my left side where the pain was so bad it made it difficult to sleep. I explained my symptoms to Edgar and he spent a significant amount of time working the area over. I was concerned that too much pressure might aggravate the condition and make it worse, however Edgar was able to provide just the right amount in the affected area and I feel much better! I am a regular client at the Massage Envy in Sunnyvale and all of the therapists I have seen there have been excellent, so I would highly recommend the place. If you are experiencing significant pain symptoms I would recommend that you have a session with Edgar. Horrible horrible horrible place !!!!!!!!!!!!!Booked an appointment and calked within an hour as had to go to the hospital for family. The rude receptionist and manager were ego driven and uncompromising. They said, its the system and you will be charged for rescheduling. We are independent managers and we cant do anything. You will pay up. When I told that its unfair, they said good luck, have a nice day and hung up.Have had enough of massage envy. Half of the centers dont have estheticians and other half has management like Karen here at Sunnyvale. When I asked her that does customer service and unforseen circumstances mean anything to her or its the corporate policy, to which her arrogant reply was do not put words in my mouth, you will be charged, period.I am out of massage envy, had enough of it in 6 months. Sunnyvale centre is the worst of all.A very disgusted and upset customer !!!!!!!!!!

Horrible dishonest people. I have had decent massages at this location and the personnel have been polite, however when I left my diamond necklace in the room, I was told no one found it. It wasnt so much the dishonesty as the fact the manager spoke to me in a disrespectful manner after I anxiously inquired whether their security cameras might have seen if I left it on the counter. I am planning on discontinuing my membership with such dishonest people.

I am an active member of ENVY Sunnyvale CA, I will give 4.5 stars for the massage therapists who are nice & handworking, but 0.5 star for the horrible customer service, they don’t even deserve 1 star. Especially the representative named Sara.Let me tell you what happen.I called for making an appt with a therapist I normally choose, Just say A therapist, Sara told me she is not available until 5:30pm sth, it’s too late for me, and I request B therapist who is no longer in that location. I remembered she turned back to tell me A therapist is ok at 4:30 pm sth. I made it then.When I went there, this is not the case, this is C therapist, I am not saying C is no good, she is very nice & patience. Just only A & B are good fit of what I need for the neck & back pain.Ok, that’s fine. Just reschedule, however, conflict was coming. Sara returned back with bad face & said sth like “ I “ approach, - I picked up the call ...... I remembered whole conversation ....... I told you the words “different therapist” ........ I xxxxxxx....... ALL WITH SUPER IMPOLITE ATTITUDE. (I have 2 current businesses, construction & food service, all related to customer service, and NEVER SEEN bad services like that)How do you know your memory is 100% right & my memory is 100% wrong?Alright, we don’t need to argue, fair to say, we just need to check phone recording, I am fine to apologize IF it shows my mistake.I asked Sara, “do you have recording for checking?” — I was shocked she fighted back in one second, “Do you have recording to show me?” ...... oh my god, You passed my border line, & tried to put me on fire. I need to complain & let your boss know your attitude to deal with customer, she even threatened me if I don’t accepted this appt, your money is still being charged.Ok. Sounds like I have no choice as a customer due to your threatening. After I was forced to get the service, I filled out the form for cancellation with the rating for couples questions, I marked everything good except the customer service. I supposed that the manager should call back for service improvement & try to understand what’s going on? ( this was what I did as a PR manager & keep customers get the best service we can in my current businesses). Unfortunately, they let you get away, 2 weeks gone, no one called me.In other words, respect each other is the key for customer service, that is NOT the place. GOOD LUCK BOSS, you have that kinds of staff.

Jenny continues to be amazing. I had an injury last week and she really helped with my upper back nerve pain. I really recommend her.

Took a trip up to Sunnyvale to visit my friend Devon and we decided to pamper ourselves with massages. I had Ashley and she had Seth and we both felt amazing leaving! Seriously the most relaxed Ive been in a longggg time. Our next spa day will definitely be here and Im pretty sure we agreed on once a month haha cant wait to come back! :)

Ridiculous. After being a member over 2 years, I cancelled my membership. They claimed not to receive a random form which I had faxed over, so they did not honor my cancellation request.I walked in to the Campbell location and asked them to send the necessary documents. I sat there, filled everything out, and watched as they sent the documents over and then confirmed with Sunnyvale they had received them.Problem solved? Uh. No. For the past three months theyve continued to charge my credit card.Oh, and the massages at the Sunnyvale location were awful.

Fantastic massage from Jenny. If only the front desk honored the rates they quoted. They just charged me $158 + tip for a 90 minute which was not the rate quoted.

Emma was superior! She was pleasant, listened to my requests and hit all spots that needed attention.

I had a feeling they would try to screw me over and claim that I had signed a full-year deal. My suspicions were just confirmed. Now I have to trust that theyll actually cancel the recurring billing, or go through the hassle of filing fraudulent charge claims with my credit card company. Dont even bother coming here. Crooked practices.

Cindy wasn’t very good this time. Didn’t cover the areas that I mentioned at the beginning. Also massage was too hard at places and body is aching the next day.

I went as a first time client. The masseuse was sick with a cough, sneezing, which I didn’t find out until I was already on the table. I then got influenza H1N1 from this visit and had to take Tamiflu. The management must not allow or pressure therapists to work when they are clearly unwell and they should disclose sickness to clients so we have a choice.

Good place, but frustrated- cannot get in when I want to-harder and harder to get in without making a reservation far in advance which I am unable to do- I sent an email to manager about this at the encouragement of front desk staff who told me others have complained of the same issue, but did not get a response.
