I’ve been coming here for about 5 years, every time it’s always a great experience! The employees, the shows, the events and even the parties are all a blast. Everything is well put together and everyone is super welcoming. This place is truly the only inclusive place in Syracuse and truly a gem. I will always go to wunderbar where my friends and I are always welcome!I love this place!

We went here for the Valentine’s Day dinner and it was terrific! The bruschetta in particular was my favorite and I’m so glad we were able to do this together with such a supportive restaurant team to attend to us. Will definitely return for more meals in the future!

This is more than a bar. It is, however, the latest and possibly the most unique arts and entertainment venue in town. Located on the outskirts of Armory Square, this place is definitely worth your visit. There is a full bar with unique signature drinks, a growing selection of craft and traditional beer and wine. Wunderbar is a Queer bar, not specifically a gay bar, in the sense you might think of. Im not sure you would know it is even that, except for this... It is completely welcoming to everyone, whether gay, straight, bi, trans, gender neutral - it is open and accepting, comfortable and safe, and reminiscent of Cabaret days, with this sort of vibe and theme. They offer on ongoing choice of arts and entertainment —including weekly dance parties, classes, performances, drag shows, and more. The owners are terribly creative and enthusiastic about the arts and encourage individual expression here. If you are an artist, I encourage you to check in. If you are looking for a wonderful, bubbly, relaxing evening, I encourage you to check in... whether its a Wednesday for piano bar, Thursday night dance party or weekend brunch or a Saturday evening on the town. Put Wunderbar on your destination list when in downtown Syracuse.

Great local queer bar with a friendly staff. Decent drinks and diverse friendly people. Definitely recommend if youre looking for a more relaxed environment to unwind after a hard week.

My brother was visiting from Binghamton and our friend suggested we go to Wunderbar. The layout has a cool vibe. There’s a book case with real books too! I still love a physical book in my hands. The staff and service, great! The entertainment area is nice and cool. It’s not hot! We bring the ♨️💯❗️The house band phenomenal! The variety of entertainment, eclectic, fun, and energetic! Overall, an excellent first time experience! We will be back!

Wunderbar strikes the perfect balance between up-scale and laid-back at the same time. They host a variety of events throughout the month, but I mostly prefer to just post-up at the bar with friends. Their craft beverages are strong, delicious, and worth the price. They also make great mocktails and have a good selection of non-alcoholic beer for sober folks. To say that Wunderbar is a “queer bar” rather than a “gay bar” is accurate. It’s definitely an inclusive space—a home for everyone whether youre straight-laced or a total misfit.

Fantastic business full of love and excellent service. Fantastic drink specials and inventive ideas. Every event i have attended has been executed very professionally. Were very lucky to have this place, and its such a staple in the community of Syracuse. Thank you!!!

Simply put, this bar feels like home. I dont think it should even be classified as a Gay bar as its a truly welcoming space in which everyone feels comfortable. Im amazed at both the diversity and incredibly inclusive vibe of the patrons and staff every time I visit. The cocktail list is imaginative and delicious, and theyve got a curated selection of taps and a great can and bottle list for craft beer drinkers. One of my favorite things about this place is that even on dance party nights, the dance floor is a separate space in the bar, so if youre not into dancing or loud music you can just hang in the bar and talk! Re: the dance floor, the security staff is really fantastic (but not intrusive) and I have honestly never felt safer in a bar than I have at Wunderbar. This has quickly become my new favorite spot in Syracuse, and were lucky to have it!

Wunderbar is a must-visit space! The atmosphere is inspiring and motivating to me as a developing artist and writer. I wish this place were in Albany! If you are in Syracuse, you must not miss it. The staff are friendly, the drinks well worth the prices and the possibilities of what you can do in that space are totally limitless. Id love to move in if I could!

Wunderbar is a beautiful Queer space with a variety of experiences fun for anyone. The staff and owners are lovely, hardworking people who want nothing more than to bring a great experience to guests. I’ve never felt more safe at a bar than I do there. I would recommend Wunderbar to anyone was looking for a fun place to go to downtown.

I love this bar! The decor & ambiance is on point. I love that the music is at a level to have a conversation. The back area is great for events. With this being one of the few queer spaces in Syracuse, I feel so welcome when I come. I definitely recommend this place! ❤️

Wunderbar is the greatest new spot in Syracuse! Decor is beautiful, the space is set up nicely, its a welcoming spot for ALL people and the performance space is so fun to dance in! I cant wait for all the diverse types of performances they are going to have here! The drinks are really good too, and their prices are on par with other venues in Syracuse.

The absolute best bar/ venue you will ever go to. So opening and accepting. You are free to be yourself ❤️ Logan is literally the best bartender in the entire world. Tell him what flavor profile you like and he will make you a drink that will blow you away. Ask him for the cucumber one!! I can not recommend this place highly enough!! 11/10 would definitely recommend.

Wunderbar is great. Amazing decor, fabulous drinks and a real “home” vibe. Great spaces to interact with others wether you are at the bar, comfortable seating throughout or in the theater area in the back. Their dance parties are a lot of fun and looking forward to going to some of the shows they offer. Highly recommend a visit to this unique place that welcomes EVERYONE.

Wunderbar is without a doubt my favorite spot in Syracuse. Everything about it is wonderful. Of course, the first thing you notice is how stunning it is. The aesthetic is so beautiful and intentional. It feels classy and chic, yet casual and homey. Next, the drinks are excellent—thoughtful and well-crafted. The programming is unreal. There is constantly something new and fun going on, nearly every night of the week. Of course, in the end, it is the people that make the place, and that is where Wunderbar truly shines. The staff pour their heart into this space, and it shows. They make every trip a pleasure. In a city where I havent really felt at home, Wunderbar has been the difference.It is where I feel safe. It is where I feel free. It is where I feel me.Please, go.

My friends and I visited for the first time after the Pride Parade in Syracuse. We had such a fun time. Everyone was so nice, the DJ was great and the drinks were awesome. I would highly recommend this bar to anyone whether you want to dance or just sit at the bar or in the front lounge and chill.

This bar is a gem in the Syracuse area. It is welcoming to all who want to come. The decor is phenomenal. It has a New York City vibe to it, but yet still feels uniquely like home. I take many of my friends here who come from all over the United States and everyone is impressed with the quality of Wunderbar.

I FREAKING LOVE this place!! The decor is beautiful and the ambience is perfect. The environment is super open and welcoming. Ive only had the kombucha there so far (which is on tap!!)...and I love it!! Im excited about the theatre aspect of the bar...theres already so much great art being created here! Looking forward to seeing this place explode rainbow glittery FABULOUSNESS all over the Syracuse community!

Went here June 10th the night of pride. Sooo disappointed. First off a 20 dollars cover?! For what? Nothing special going on so why did I pay 20 bucks. They 2 Dj’s? listed. Didn’t really hear what the first DJ was doing but went into the dance room for the 2nd and I can hardly consider that a dj. Certainly not a DJ to pay. Talk about a train wreck. Not to mention the fact that it was pride and there was nothing special going on. Do better Wunderbar. Hit me up and you can pay me 20 bucks for a decently mix track set

Everyone at Wunderbar is so accepting, inclusive and community minded. Always fun events and layed back atmosphere. So glad to have found Wunderbar! Its what Cuse needed!

Wunderbar is one of the best bars downtown. Great location, parking onsite, great drinks, always has a live performance or some sort of entertainment every week, the bartenders are so friendly and funny and the whole atmosphere has a great energy. Highly recommend.

Fun place, good atmosphere. Our cocktails were really gross and not at all what we asked for, but beer is beer. The folks here were all pleasant and made for an awesome first time. Will be back again.

Incredible placed owned and operated by some of the BEST people in Syracuse!! They take COVID very seriously and genuinely care about the experiences of their patrons and the community. Hoping to visit again soon for trivia!! You wont regret a night at Wunderbar!!

Love Wunderbar. One of my favorite spots in Syracuse. So welcoming and inclusive, and always doing more than just being a place to grab drinks. Definitely missing the dance parties pre-covid and excited to get back in there one day soon.

Arrived to the Wunderbar at 11:00 pm.. wasnt thrilled to pay a 3$ cover charge just to have a drink.. after waiting 15 min with the crowd at the bar two people deep we just left.Seems like the bartenders were to busy chatting with their friends and I just wanted a beer... I know its a soft opening... Hopefully the bar will be open in six months. Much potential with better bar service..

They Could bit More Experienced Bartenders and teach them time management. It would be Nice to get a Acting D.J. in there to Get the Crowd a bit more Poppin. The Music can be mixed up a bit since it has that NYC feel. I think the Music Choice is a bit Dead and it Could a hugh face Lift as far as the Whole Aviance Provides. The the Choice of Music doesnt match the Interior of the bar so the vibe is like very oldish. I did have two Cocktails though but thats a bout it 😁👍🏾

The bar is designed in a cool Art Deco , gilded style . The bar staff has a real star in Joss , very talented bar tender , the other staff needs to rise a little more to Joss’s level . The dance floor/ performance area is intimate shall we say , all in all a fun area to grab a few cocktails .

The place is nice and the location ! The drinks are too pricy ,they take forever to even serve wine,any day, Monday or Saturday!! the bartenders need to learn about drink , sometimes it is juice and sometimes too much alcohol, Dj sucks , no one dance and don’t even try to ask for a song to any of the djs, they go there to listen the music that they like ! And not to make people dance! Other then that it is fine !

Wunderbar is WONDERFUL! I went to a Farewell Event for my baby Amara Dupree with Special Guest My Baby Sparkle Royale. The setting the atmosphere the People!!! I may inquire about hosting an event in the near future at Wunderbar! Phenomenal 🔥💕🔥💕

This place was wonderful! Such an open and accepting atmosphere for any gender and sexual orientation. I went during a Drag show that was spectacular! Plus the cocktails and bar food were excellent and well priced.

Had a lot of fun with a friend here. Great LGBT community space with great drinks and great people (barstaff included!). I wish Rochester had something similar.

I want to give Wunderbar 5 stars for two reasons. The first is that every time I go, it’s lit and the second is because I don’t know of another small business owner that’s has worked as hard as they do to keep their community together during this difficult time. Thank you for your hard work, and thank you for your perseverance. That’s what keeps our community strong!

Great bi-level dance floor with an amazing DJ!Their liquor selection was small and lacking some staples, but the bartender was very helpful in helping us find something else we would enjoy.

My friend and I ended up leaving early because the staff kept misgendering them and we did not feel comfortable staying. We had high hopes for this bar, but unfortunately they did not seem to value the different gender experiences of different people and respect that

Love, love, LOVE this place! Great events that are entertaining, friendly and effiencent servers, hosts, and bartenders. Definitely a stellar place to have cocktails or RSVP for an event and have fun!

Place looked great but the drinks were overcharged garbage that werent made correctly. Also avoid their house cocktails.
