Encore 201

This place seems to be improving and finally providing the club atmosphere it aspires to be. Which is great because TC is lacking in night club oriented spaces. Good lighting and sound. We had a great experience with DJ Ricky T. The speakers held to the wall with a ratchet strap looked a little unprofessional though.

My first time going was a couple weeks ago, and it was pretty good. I always wondered what went on up above Sparks BBQ at nighttime so when there was no cover charge, I decided to check it out and its a nice small little area. Bathrooms are in the way back, then there is a small bar of course, and then the seating area, rather compact, then a small little dance area right in front of the stage where the singers/DJs are. Made the best of what they had more or less. I had a good time with my friends.

Dj without glasses rude and aggressive. Avoid if you’re looking for a spot for your girlfriends for batch party look otherwise. Better bars in downtown….

My friend got his face slammed into the ground by THE OWNER and three other of the bouncers because he came up to one of them and told him that he was being threatened by some guy and it resulted in friend being thrown down the stairs and his face in the pavement. I was right behind him watching the whole thing. This establishment is dirty and gross In all ways. The people that own it creep on girls and beat on innocent men that are being threatened.

Great Space! My favorite bands play here. Only for 2 hours tho, then a DJ takes over. IMO hes a little too loud for the space, but Im old. Hahaha Will go again and bring friends.

Careful, owner bumps into you, and he asks “do you know who I am” like he’s a celebrity. No one is above anyone, definitely not a bar owner in Traverse City. Don’t support this kind of behavior!!!

Bout time Traverse city finally got some clubs back in town. I dont get out much anymore but it was alot of fun. security was good and friendly, bartenders and the 2 waitresses were polite, quick, and knowledgeable.Music choices were sometimes a little odd for a club but everyone went with it and seemed to make the best out of it.1 thing that would be nice is if the clubs stayed open past 2 or at least 2am again. Lets get back these back to the way they were.I was told there was another club across the street from this one as well.Overall great experience

We were visiting from Colorado and my wife got pushed against the bar bruising her back by an irate gentlemen who tried to start a fight and knocked my father in law over and when I confronted him and the bar they kicked us out I didn’t start any kind of fight just asked him to acknowledge what he did…very poor security very unsafe place very disappointed that they allowed someone to physically abuse a woman with no accountability.

Great place for local music. Saw Blake Elliott and StoneFolk, great show and sound. They now have a shell around drums. No problem hearing keys or vocals. Good variety of drinks to choose from. Must see in TC.

Tried really hard to like this place but overall its overpriced and the music is out of date. Service is pretty good for how many customers the bartenders need to keep up with but drinks are expensive. Cover charge is ridiculous, that alone made us not want to go. And everytime weve been here the music is just horrible for a club.

Theyve clearly worked on establishing the atmosphere of this place and it works. It isnt going to be everyones cup of tea, but for live music, its the best Ive found in town.The bartenders are passionate about their craft and it shows! (At least the ones working when I was there)

I was at the grand opening and was very disappointed in the sound system! I could barely hear the words and the drums were so loud I couldn’t hear the keyboard or words. PLEASE FIX THIS OR YOU WONT LAST LONG FOR A MUSIC VENUE ! The stage should be high enough for everyone to see. ( at least 1 foot higher)The bathroom faucet sprayed water everywhere! Please fix this! I want to have somewhere close to hear awesome music!

We Watched The daily dozen comedy show on the opening night of the Traverse City comedy festival 2023. This place was really nice, and well hopefully be making many more events here!

A group of us ladies went out for ladies night It was great just talking and sipping. The staff was really great, they had a waiter who floated in and out with specialty shots so we didnt have to wait at the bar♡.

Traverse Citys newest hot spot!! Great entertainment and the staff does an excellent job making sure drinks were well made and we all were enjoying ourselves!!

Has so much potential! But the music is very bad because it is only remixes no one knows and never a whole song, and people don’t want to dance to that.

This was my first time at Encore 201 and I believe this is now my favorite dance spot in Traverse City!

Great indoor entertainment venue. Local and regional bands and top shelf drinks...get there early, parking is free after 6pm

Sweet local venue tucked into downtown Traverse City. Be sure to catch Biomassive whenever they are in town they crush it!!!

Pricy and not a very club like feel. Felt like a high school prom after party more than a actual club.

Sound is good but the big bartender likes to pour light on the drinks.
