I don’t normally leave ratings or reviews but…….the world needs to know about Urban Oasis. I would leave a 10 outta 5 rating if Google would let me. What an excellent place to come relax, heal better and feel better.. The location & view right on the bay are unparalleled.We boosted our immune systems & lung healing in the Salt Room. My only regrets were not trying the rest of the therapies they have to offer…….yet. Most importantly the clinic manager Lori W is the heart and soul of Urban Oasis. She is a top notch manager with out of this world energy & people skills. She makes you feel warm & welcomed both on the phone & as you walk in for the first time. She is an invaluable asset to this place.Everyone needs to put Urban Oasis on their bucket list. I’ll be back………Dr Eric L

I took my Mom to Traverse for a spa weekend back in June, and this place was on our itinerary.We did a 90 minute massage together and spent another 45 minutes in the salt room, which was beautiful. The view from the relaxation room, overlooking the water, was beautiful even in the rain.Our entire experience was fantastic but I have some special things to say about Lori- the fantastically upbeat and phenomenally friendly (and helpful) voice you hear when you call to make an appointment, and Megan Thoreson- the reason Ill drive over 3 hours (each way) from Holland.I have chronic problems and massage is one of the most effective tools to help me. Ive spent so much money trying to find... Megan.I dont need a relaxing rub down that leaves me smelling nice, anyone can do that. Megans understanding of how the body works and her knowledge of massage and manipulation techniques allow her to actually troubleshoot my body and find and address the causes of my various problems.When I want a spa day, Ill stay close to home, but when I have an actual problem, Ill drive all day to see Megan.

Celebrated our anniversary with a couples massage. Lori, the manager, was pleasant in arrival! Waiting room and relaxation room were peaceful. Rooms were very clean. They were right on the water. Lacie and Lisa did our massages and were excellent. They hit every big spot that we had circled. They also avoided any trouble spots (I couldnt have done behind one knee because of previous surgery and inflammation). We left feeling the most relaxed weve been in months. Very happy with our experience and definitely recommend to anyone looking for a getaway!!

They absolutely loved everything about their experience and the massages, facials, and salt room! I felt like I left them in great hands that day. Incredible people. We were traveling through here on our honeymoon and only had 2 days. They were super kind and flexible and came in early for us. The massages were awesome. Would highly recommend!

If I were to describe my perfect massage, it would be what I just received from Lacie. I hesitate to mention her name, because when I want to go to her again (and I am definitely driving the 1.5 hour drive to come back) I don’t want her to be booked haha.Perfect pressure and hit every spot that needed work that I didn’t even know needed work! I feel like a million bucks! The salt room is also really relaxing!

My fiancé and I had a couples massage(which was so relaxing) and finished our time in the salt room. I struggle with allergies but I have been feeling great since the salt room! 10/10 would recommend!!

Me and my husband booked a couples massage for our wedding anniversary. I’m terrible with remembering names but both our massage therapist were amazing. We connected with them and they made our experience very inviting and friendly! The deep tissue massages we received were exactly what our bodies needed. The space is clean friendly and beautiful! We plan to return very soon for another massage and to utilize their salt room and foot detox!

My husband and I were on vacation for a little get away. We called and asked to schedule a couples massage kind of last minute . They were able to work us in within a couple of hours. Lori, the manager was very friendly and attentive. Our massage therapists were professional and kind. We left there feeling relaxed and ready for a nap. They were a little on the pricey side however, which would deter us from regularily attending.

We visited Urban Oasis for a couples massage on vacation. The staff was very helpful in scheduling and we had a great experience from start to finish. Would definitely make this a stop during your vacation!

Loved taking my bachelorette party here after a long weekend. it was nice to wind down for an hour! they do charge a “credit card processing fee” at the end that is not mentioned online/in person until the end. never had a luxury spa not tack it on to the total price before. definitely felt weird including that after how much was spent.

My husband and I each did a salt room session and a deep tissue massage with Lacie, both of which were excellent. The salt room is as relaxing as it is beneficial to one’s health and wellness! The mood lighting behind the walls sets a relaxing tone for your session. As for the massage, Lacie was one of the best massage therapists I have ever seen.

Lori was so welcoming and sweet! The facility is beautiful and calming. We had a couples massage and the ladies were fantastic. Wish we would have done the salt room, but def will next time. Give this place a try. You will leave so relaxed and wishing you did the 90 minute massage.

My wife booked us a couples massage and salt room here for our 5 year anniversary. The experience was absolutely fantastic. The moment we entered we were greeted by Lori, the spa manager, and she was incredibly nice and upbeat. She provided such a light, joyful positivity to our visit and she really set us at ease which helped us begin to relax before our treatment began.Our massage therapists were Lisa and Lacey. My wife has said that her massage with Lacey was the best shes had. Lisa was my massage therapist and was equally incredible. I really didnt understand what I was missing from my massage experiences till now and its the skill and expertise of an excellent massage therapist.We finished our visit in the salt room. Which I admit was initially hard to wrap my head around but the 45 minutes we spent in there relaxing were amazing. I highly recommend wearing the blue plastic booties they provide. If you are sensitive to texture or temperature though you may want to wear socks or shoes with the booties. For the rest of my free spirits out there, the experience of the salt floor with barefeet and booties is amazing. Its like digging your toes into the cool beach sand,except its cool tiny salt rocks. You just have to experience it. I had to split my time reclining and just sitting with my feet nestled into the salt floor.The short version is, if you are staying or living in traverse city you have to check it out and treat yourself.

My husband booked me a massage for my birthday today. I have never been to this spa but the services were exceptional. As a clinician, body aches are normal for me. I’m used to getting a massage once every 1-2 months. I have never left a massage so relieved and satisfied. I had MT Lacie Plowman… you are a healing magician! Thank you for one of the best massages I’ve ever had. The manager Lori was also an absolute delight. Thank you for the wonderful, comforting massage experience!

I absolutely love urban oasis salt spa! The staff is so nice and helpful- my husband and I were trying to plan our 7 year anniversary celebrations and stumbled upon urban oasis salt spa- we weren’t sure what to expect so we call ahead of time and they were so helpful. We booked the salt room and it was just the two of us and it was so nice and relaxing and therapeutic. The check in process was so peaceful overlooking the sparkling bay. We can’t wait to explore the other services our next visit! Thank you for a relaxing spa experience for our 7 year anniversary! :)

Urban Oasis and their manager, Lori, are the best! I had a detox salt body wrap and mini facial. Both were so relaxing and my skin was glowing after! The relaxation room on the water where you sit before your service is gorgeous too! All of the staff I encountered were very sweet, and the manager, Lori, is such a gem! This kind of customer service is hard to find these days! I can’t wait to go back and try their other services.

You can tell Lori the receptionist loves her job, she is very up beat and definitely a people person. The whole place is very relaxing especially the back room where you can sit and enjoy the view of Grand Traverse Bay before your session starts. I had a Swedish massage, reflexology foot massage and the 45 minutes in the salt room. The massage therapist Tanya did a wonderful job. The salt room was very relaxing and calming. When I tell you I love this place, I LOVE THIS PLACE! They were incredibly sweet and accommodating from the moment I walked in! Lori, the manager, walked me to the back and explained everything before my facial after finding out it was my first time there. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE ORGANIC FACIAL! Cami not only had my face smooth & shiny but I was so relaxed I fell asleep 😴 After my facial, I got a tour of the entire facility from Cami & Lori and they were just the kindest girl ever! 10000/10 RECOMMEND 🤍

Decided to go on a last minute trip to Traverse City. Lori and her staff were so kind to accommodate me for a last minute appointment. Received a Himalayan Salt rock massage and it felt amazing. I also had a great view from my massage room. Definitely will be back to visit Lori and her staff!

The staff was warm and welcoming and very accommodating if you needed change in pressure or a problem area. My favorite part was the men’s facial with scalp massage. The service here is almost indescribable but I will do my best to put into words how heavenly this spa is so that others will go! My partner and I originally wanted to do a hot stone massage but there were none available so the spa coordinator Lori convinced us to try the salt detox wrap. We were hesitant before we got there however the service is worth every single penny. The staff gently massage you with salt and wrap you in a heated towel. While the salt was doing its magic I also received a life changing mini facial. Everything felt perfect and I have never felt more relaxed. The staff was friendly and made us feel comfortable and Lori has to be the most charming spa coordinator in this area. Please try the salt detox wrap!

Doing this review from the salt room as I wait for my daughter to finish up her facial!I enjoyed a 60 minute massage with Tanya. I have chronic neck issues and was in some discomfort when I arrived. Tonya took her time and really worked out the tightness and pain in my neck and back, I will be booking a massage with her next time I’m in town for sure.Looking out into the bay while I was enjoying my massage was another bonus.I also brought my daughters with me and they all enjoyed their facials with Nichole. She was knowledgeable about skin care and maintaining their healthy skin.I look forward to trying a detox wrap next time.Also Lori who works the front was so fun and helpful, it was nice to be surrounded by positive, hard working employees!

I had my first experience with Urban Oasis just a few days after Christmas. They were able to get me, my sister, and mom in very last minute for facials and a massage. They got facials and I got an integrative massage with Tanya. It was easily one of the best massages I’ve ever had. I’m someone who works with my hands and gets chronic migraines, so I carry a lot of tension in my head, neck, and shoulders. Tanya gave me the perfect balanced massage, with both relaxation and some deeper work on my problem areas. She regularly checked in with me to make sure the pressure was good, and she was very kind! I definitely plan to come back for more massages with Tanya; I think she could really help me maintain my health with more regular self care! Highly recommend!!

Nice place. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Everything was simple and streamlined. The massage was just what I needed. Hard pressure. And she helped with a specific muscle issue on the front of my neck.

This past weekend we had the opportunity to do a spa day with my sister and my mom. We ended up doing the body detox wrap, massages and the salt room. Lori was amazing and made the whole experience absolutely perfect along with the ladies who performed the services we had done. Lori was the best host and we will definitely be coming back for a bachelorette party in September. My mom said it was the best massage she ever had and we were extremely happy with everything.

I booked a Bachelorette party here for 10 women. Lori, the spa manager, was so easy and pleasant to work with. She did a fantastic job coordinating everyones services, even with such a large group of us. The services were relaxing, and all the women had nothing but great things to say about it. The salt room was also a fun experience. I definitely recommend this spa for parties!

My husband and I visited the Urban Oasis Salt Spa as the first stop on our honeymoon. This cozy & homelike spa was the perfect way to start our trip. Lori, the spa coordinator was absolutely wonderful to work with from scheduling through the entire spa experience. Our hot stone massages from Alesha and Lacie were extremely relaxing and got all our sore muscles from the wedding feeling great again. We also loved using the salt room. If you ever go to urban oasis, don’t leave without scheduling time for the salt room. We felt notably energized with clearer breathing afterwards. Beyond the great service and amenities, the spa has the most beautiful view in their relaxation and massage rooms. You’ll be right on the water looking out to the most relaxing view of the bay. 10/10 recommend!!

I use the salt room and had a Himalayan rock massage with Lisa. This place was top notch, and the front desk girl made you feel like the most special person in the world! Everyone was very friendly, the services were great, and very unrushed! I highly recommend this place, they were very professional, accommodating, very clean, and personable! The only reason I did not give them five stars is because they don’t have a shower or place to clean up after services if you need it.

My friends and I came for a spa day and thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Lori was amazing in coordinating our services and time in the salt room and Lisa gave me an amazing massage as well as some stretches to do to try and help my chronic pain. We are all looking forward to returning on the future!

I wish I could give them more stars! My husband and I did a couples massage and salt room. I cant say enough good about the massages! Rebecca and Tonya were incredibly skilled and listened and worked on requested sore spots. My shoulder that was killing me before now feels new. The salt room was so relaxing and refreshing. Save your money!! Had a couples massage with my husband this morning. Lacie used cold cream on my husband for the massage! For a massage?? Ive never had a massage without warm oil, have you?? He was very disappointed. Was not worth the $125! Patricia was incredible though!! We then had a foot detox. Lori put us in uncomfortable chairs, we put our feet in water, she put salt in and turned on the meter and we sat in the dark for 30 minutes. She expected a tip?? I tipped her but for what?? We also met two ladies from Trenton that were having a spa day together. One of them was taken back while the other was not. Turns out the owner came in and put someone in this ladies spot!! Seriously?? So she was unable to have this day together with her friend. That is completely inexcusable!!! Very unprofessional!! My fault again. Do yourself a favor and go to Sacred Waters!

My daughters teen facial with Carrie was wonderful. The staff is really nice and eager to make sure you enjoy your experience. The new location with the salt room is pretty and convenient. The salt room was open and we used it… any other time I would definitely recommend it — and hope to return when it is finished. It was still in progress when we visited, and the manager very kindly refunded the salt room price (which was over and above in service to me!🥰) after there were unfinished issues— still smelled like paint/epoxy and the chairs didn’t recline. That being said I would definitely return once it’s finished. Lovely and REALLY nice service. Go. If this interests you, you will love it!

We both walked out feeling like it was the best deep tissue massages weve had, they had great pressure and targeted areas we wanted and needed! I get massages from Tanya. She has that northern Michigan hospitality and makes you feel right at home. Tanya has experience with medical massage and is knowledgeable of location of bones, muscles, tendons and ligaments and is able to help work out your tension knots. I can tell Tanya massages from her soul too. She enjoys helping people. I always exit the building feeling very relaxed and knots in my neck, back, sacrum gone. Going to book a massage once a month even in the summer, as a treat to myself. The location of the spa is great too. Right on the bay. You can have a massage while gazing out at the water. Music is peaceful too!

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. I was searching for a SPA in TC that offered a day to get a way. I found this little gem through Google. We booked the salt room, facial, and massage.First off, the location was absolutely Amazing. I walked in for my massage and i had a view of the bay. Nothing more relaxing than having a massage and seeing the sailboats slowly sway with the lake waves. It added a whole new relaxation, and appreciation during my massage. Willow was very sweet and intuitive, she put me in a deep relaxed state:My facial was an experience like none other! Carrie was absolutely amazing! I have very sensitive skin and she was so thorough to explain to me what she was using and why. Something about carries calmness,tone, and knowledge was outstanding!I had never been in a salt room in my life and i tell you what. It was OUTSTANDING! I walked out of there invigorated! My lungs felt as if they had been purified, and my skin felt amazing! Can’t wait to get back in the salt room!I had the pleasure of meeting Dave and Carrol (the owners) they were so candid, and welcoming. Felt like i had known them for years after a few short minutes of talking. Great place, great staff!We had a tiny hiccup with miscommunication between add on to salt room on website and from what i was charged. (The website applied to their old location) but they were so quick to fix! That what i appreciated more, their sincerity and quick action to rectify. Thank you!

My husband and I visited TC recently and were looking for a place that offered Couples Massages since it was my husbands first time getting a massage. Scheduling was super easy and we loved being sent all of our forms so we were prepared when we arrived. Our massages were both perfect and I believe my husband is now hooked. Amanda was so kind to us and she also gave us wonderful ideas on where to eat during our stay. We will be back next year!

What a wonderful surprise! This was one of the final stops on our mother/daughter weekend and we could not have been any happier with the services we received. We started out by relaxing the salt room.I was not feeling very well and was suffering from considerable congestion. When we checked-in, we were told by Mr. Salty that the salt room would really help me. As this was my first time visiting a salt room, I was skeptical. However, my congestion was much better after only a few minutes and continued to improve over the next several hours.Next, we had 90-minute massages, and both Denise and Gaywynn were extraordinary! Honestly, we cannot recommend these two professionals enough. We had originally wanted a hot stone massage, but at the last minute wanted to add on some reflexology. Both Gaywynn and Denise worked with us and provided us with the best spa service we have received anywhere.If we lived closer, Urban Oasis Salt Spa would definitely be a place that we would frequent on a regular basis. I know that the next time we are in the area, this will be one of our stops!

Absolute perfection in a spa experience. The owners and all the staff are extremely kind, and well educated. I have no earthly idea why there are any bad reviews on here!!! Ignore the Karens. They were helpful, accommodating, and were willing to do anything to make my visit the best it could be. The salt room is probably the most underrated wellness experience in Northern Michigan. They have fliers and pamphlets describing so many health benefits it can give you. Love it!! 10/5 stars

The Himalayan Hot Stone Massage was phenomenal, the combination of heat and the evenness of the pressure adds that little something extra you never knew you needed over a traditional hand massage.The salt room is a relaxing place to unwind and detox after the massage.

New to the area and was looking to replace my massage therapist from my last city. I had a great therapist before and have tried a few different local spots that all missed the mark. Urban Oasis was a bullseye!! I had a Deep Tissue massage with Denise and was absolutely thrilled with the job she did! Im a big guy and need pretty hard pressure along with having a few problem areas that need extra work. She far exceeded every expectation! One of the best massages Ive ever had and she immensely helped me with my issues. I had the best night sleep Ive had in a long time thanks to her excellent work. I highly recommend anyone looking for a massage to book immediately, I know Ill be back regularly!

The services I received were the salt room and a facial with Carrie. I have never had the pleasure of being in a salt room before and it was a wonderful experience. Very relaxing and a great way to prepare me for my facial. Carrie was a lovely person who performed the best facial I have ever experienced. She was soft spoken, informative and gently let me lead conversation if I wanted to and was quiet when I was. It was an absolutely lovely experience from beginning to end and worth every penny. I will be booking with Carrie again when I return to Traverse City. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience. Was waiting 10 minutes after my appointment time and staff did not communicate (minus 1 star). Massage therapist pulled my hair more than 20 times during the massage. Did not use anything to protect my hair and I tried to move it further to the side, but she pulled it back during the course of the massage (minus 2 stars). Hot stones were sometimes super hot, sometimes barely warm. Lotion was sometimes warm, sometimes cold (minus 1 star). I circled areas I wanted massage therapist to focus on, but therapist had bad time management and spent 40+ minutes on one area circled and less than 2 minutes on another area circled (minus 1 star). Redeeming qualities—salt lamps were nice, palms and of hand and feet massage was nice, scalp massage was nice (1 star back for a total of 1 star). My 90 min massage was $165 (not including tip), but the quality was very low.

I am so happy to have found this place. My husband and i had an appointment for salt room and then 90 minute massage. My massage was probably the best I ever had. The place and staff were so welcoming and prompt. You can see all the detail I. Keeping rhe space clean and safe. I cant wait to come back to traverse city to book here again.

I enjoyed an amazing 90 minute deep tissue massage from Lacie. She was extremely skilled and knowledgeable. I felt like a glowing puddle after she was done. I will absolutely return to Urban Oasis Salt Spa and I look forward to trying many of their other offerings.

Very disappointing facial experience. Found out after coming into a cold room, bed not heated, no facial steam to start with to open the pores for treatment and cold wet towels instead of heated that they don’t usually do 2 facials at once so I was put into the overflow room. So while my facial would normally have included the things above, I would not be getting them because they don’t have the equipment for two rooms. Hmmm but the price is the same? Advertised as a 75 minute facial that the owner clarified includes turnover so it’s really 60 minutes. That would have been fine too but mine was 45 minutes. So all in all, very disappointing experience and it was my birthday so major bummer that I was looking so forward to this treatment and it was terribly disappointing. On the upside, Mary did the very best should could with what she had. The owner discounted my facial by 50% so there was some recognition that it was less than great. However, I’d have rather saved my money and skipped this experience completely if they’d have been honest when booking as to what the experience would actually be rather than trying to pass it off as something it would not be. I don’t usually write negative reviews. I tend to just let it go and never return but I felt like this experience warranted warning others. I feel like being honest from the get-go about the services would have gone a long way.

Lacie is 10/10. She is always professional, smiling and on time. Her deep tissue and hot stone are the best I’ve ever had. I cannot recommend her enough! The spa is very relaxing and there’s a view of the bay!

BEFORE YOU BOOK READ!Contacted the spa via email on March 20th after they responded to my review and requested a refund. However, I never received a response or refund from them. After less than a week my lash extensions have almost all fallen off due to poor application!This spa offers a discount to people for writing reviews on google, yelp, or, trip advisor so understand anyone that wrote a review for this salon likely had a financial incentive to do so. I received an email this morning not regarding my experience, but encouraging me to write review for a 10% discount on my next service. Also the specialist whom did my lashes quit because she didn’t get enough business or that’s what she told her clients and Friday was her last day. Clearly it was her last day and she didn’t give a hoot.The spa encouraged me to write a review online, not contact them directly so I did, and this is the only contact I have received since regarding this experience. However, based on the “owner’s” response and their decision to disclose my personal medical condition online in their response, the shaking the “owner” was referring to was due to social anxiety and low blood sugar, I informed the staff that I was diabetic as well, I’ll let you decide if this is where you want to spend hundreds of dollars and if it’s how you want to be treated when you didn’t get what you requested and paid for. And worse yet this caused harm to my eyelids and eyes due to this poor application. Also, just so you know your eyes are closed the entire time that the lash extensions are being applied. I had no idea how bad it was until it was already completed along with the damage to my eyes and skin.UPDATE 3/18/23: After 24 hours my eyes hurt SO MUCH and I’ve found multiple flakes and spots of glue on my waterlines and in both of my eyes! I went into another salon to see what could be done and they said it was such poor application they didn’t feel comfortable doing a fill in 2-3 weeks and I’ll have to have them completely removed and redone by another salon and technician! They said the risk of complications due to the original application was too high because it was done so poorly. So complete waste of money, no other salon will fill or touch them except to remove. ALSO ALWAYS CHECK YOUR RECEIPT! Not only was I charged for this horrible service but 10% gratuity was added to my bill as well, meaning she got automatically tipped 10% for her horrible service too! Yay, don’t we all wish we could do a bad job and be tipped for it?! Complete waste of time, money and possibly dangerous because of their poor quality and application!Original Experience on 3/17/23:Went for a full set of lash extensions. FYI: This salon is almost $100 more for a set of lash extensions in comparison to other salons in the Traverse City area. Asked for natural looking lashes. I didn’t want anything too full or crazy as I rarely wear makeup and was going for a very natural look. Unfortunately I got the opposite of what I asked for and now I look closer to drag queen than anything natural. I cannot believe how bad it looks for how much it was! Then I was given a hard time during the check out process because the staff had misspelled my name and email address in there system and couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t receiving an emailed receipt and of course I wasn’t leaving without my receipt. I got the impression I was an inconvenience to them by making them fix my name and email because I wanted to receive my receipt. The staff even made rude comments about the spelling of my name complaining how complicated one letter made everything for her. Super disappointed with my results and overall experience, it is not worth the significant price difference compared to other spas.

As the salt room was nice for my bachelorette party and l, I am incredibly disappointed by this spa and will not be going back. The worker originally had me pay for way more then I was supposed to and lied saying it would be cheaper as I did the math and it was 100 extra I wouldve had to pay. They thankfully gave me a refund and I paid the amount I was supposed to pay in the first place after they kept trying to make me pay for more people then I had with me. Overall, it was nice to sit in the salt room but it was not worth the stress I had to go through during my bachelorette weekend. I would not recommend.

The facials we received were wonderful. Carrie and Stacy had magic hands. They are excellent at their job and so warm and welcoming. But beware. The front desk does not inform you upon booking that if you use The salt room you will be charged for it. I think its very deceptive that they dont let you know that youre going to get charged $45 to sit in there whether for 5 minutes or an hour. We were invited to use the salt room, however it was not disclosed it was an additional charge to use the room after the service was completed. I dont like being deceived. They invited us to go in there as if it was just a nice complimentary perk. That is not the case. Kind of a bait-and-switch type of method if you ask me. Otherwise happy with the services received but not happy about the unexpected cost of the salt room.RESPONSE TO OWNERS REPLYI am unclear why you say that there were four of us! Our appointment was only for three and only three of us showed up!!! Honestly I dont care that you gave me a discount for a service I didnt know I was going to be charged for! You deceived us. We were completely blindsided for this unknown and unexpected charge. Both you and your receptionist invited us into The salt room as if it were just a place to relax. Only at the time of payment were we informed of this extra salt room charge....we were very upset and feel utterly deceived. In all rights you really should reimburse us for the extra charges totalling 66.00

From the moment we stepped into the building we felt calm and serene. The salt room is beautiful and incredibly relaxing! My husband had the beginnings of a sinus headache and it was gone by the end of our session! Highly recommend! Beautiful facility and very welcoming reception. We will return!

What a relaxing full body deep tissue massage! Urban Oasis Salt Spa was a very nice experience; I will definitely return. The owners are kind, the massage therapist was thorough and experienced, and the price was reasonable for the region.

I booked massage services for a bride and groom. It was last-minute, but Urban Oasis was INCREDIBLY accommodating, and they treated my friends like royalty. Charity at the front desk was especially kind and amazing. I cant wait to visit for myself!!

Went there on October 8th for a bachelorette party and they treated us golden. The receptionist was a hoot! So much fun. Lisa gave me a 5 star deep tissue massage. If they were located in our town, I would become a regular client

What a beautiful new location and as always, such kind and friendly staff! Overall a deeply restorative, relaxing, and healing experience. The only feedback I might kindly offer is to be conscience of scents and smells. I am very sensitive to artificial smells and found the smell of the towels as well as air freshener to be too much for me. I use your services with the intention of detoxing and cleansing my body and try to steer clear of toxins I breathe into and put onto my body. Hope this is in someway helpful. Thank you for being here and providing such a beautiful space! :)

A wonderful place to relax and heal. The salt walls and floor wrap you in purified air and negative ions. Backlit salt walls are gorgeous. The floor has 3 inches of course Himalayan salt which feels good to walk on. After a long winter it reminded me of being on a beach, except with healing salt. The entire room is peaceful. I attended the Spring Into Wellness class and got the detoxing benefits from the salt room. There was a woman there who was sick with a respiratory infection and was coughing before the class. While sitting in the salt room her cough quieted and by end of class it disappeared. I will be back.

Wife and I had a couples massage while visiting which was nice and relaxing, the therapists were professional and did a great job with applying pressure as requested. For some reason we were charged different prices ($95/$100) even though we thought we both had the same massage, charged for a Swedish massage and a deep tissue. The music appeared to be playing on a phone and quit nearly five times, seems this shouldn’t be the case as it’s distracting.

Had a wonderful facial with Hannah! Kind, calming, listened to my skin care needs and communicated well along the way! Very relaxed and now in need of a nap. Thanks Hannah!

Loved the team that performed my fiancé and I Swedish couples massage. We were tardy but they still gave us the full hour and did an amazing job. We felt like new ppl! You can also purchase salt stones and just relax. The fragrances they offer are wonderfully soothing and the sounds of the beach are therapeutic. Definitely recommend!

The owners here are great. They truly want to make sure you have a great experience. You will not experience anything like the salt room anywhere else and the infared sauna and massage were very enjoyable. Anyone that is afflicted by stress should try this as an alternative to yoga or meditation. Just as wonderful as a day at the beach.

My girlfriend and I went here looking for a hot stone massage, there were none left so Lori convinced us into the Salt Detox Wrap. It was absolutely heavenly, felt like a whole new person afterwards.

Staff are very kind and helpful.... We in Traverse City are lucky to have this amazing resource. I was born with asthma and have had it my entire life. It only gets out of control when I get a cold or flu and it proceeds from my sinuses to my lungs and restricts my breathing. Usually if I get infection in my lungs, it is at least a week of struggling with each breath. Its exhausting and painful. Then it gets better with a month of lasting annoying symptoms. I used the spa after I developed a cold that went to my lungs on a vacation. I found after 1 session in the salt room, that the crud in my lungs was thinning. After a 2nd session, I was my normal energy came back and I could breathe really well. Within a week, instead of a month, I was fully functioning.The salt vapor is amazing for the lungs in my experience. It also seems to open my sinuses. The negative ion produced by the salt create a room that really feels good to be in. I would described it as similar to sitting next to a waterfall and the wonderful feelings that come with that. As a meditation teacher, I also find the salt room is perfect for meditation. This is an amazing, unique spa for this part of the nation. Many other services are offered as well.

First of all let me say that my wife states the salt room and massage were wonderful. What seems to be an issue is that there was a lack of communication between Dave and his staff. I (Tim) am not a professional hockey player (a question staff asked my wife) and the spa treatment was for my wife not me. So when a staff member called me asking where I was because I was late for my massage, I was worried because my wife was sitting in the salt room after being led in by Dave. So, the services are good just need to organize your biz. Oh, btw the spa treatment was for a 40th anniversary not a birthday.

Highly recommend Lacey. She’s a great therapist and thorough. However I wasn’t informed from the receptionist when I booked the appointment that the massage price had gone up $25 from my prior massage 3 months back at $95. So when I went to checkout, I was told it was $120.

What an amazing location and experience Urban Oasis Salt Spa offers!!!! This spa is one of the best! I have been to spas all over the world. This one is world class. Intuitive massage therapists, wonderful socialist and the Himalayan Sea Salt room. . . magical.magical and holistic

Was brought back more than 15 minutes late. My therapist almost used coconut oil on me which was on my intake as an allergy. My therapist got on the table with me which made me very uncomfortable, did Thai massage moves when I specifically asked for Swedish. She also left me on the table for a long time in the middle of my massage ……. She left the room and came back before I flipped over. My one hr massage was booked for 2pm and my mom and didn’t leave until almost 4:30. NOPE. Won’t be back.

Wife and daughter enjoyed an incredible few hours at Urban Oasis and raved about the environment, staff, salt room, and quality of the facials. Theyve enjoyed some of the finest spas the US offers so take their word for it --- Urban Oasis is well worth the trip.

If I could give more then 5 stars I would! The salt room was so relaxing, we could have fallen asleep. And the woman there where so polite and wonderful to talk to! Do not use this facility!I set an appointment and was told I needed to pay by phone ahead of time, due to covid19, so there would be no register transactions at the time of service. I paid $180 for 2 massages. Upon getting our massages, we were never asked for payment, because it had already been paid. When we returned home a few days later, they charged our bank account for another $190! I called and was told it would be refunded. Its two weeks later and still no refund! Do not trust this company!Time for me to contact the attorney generals office!Also, the room reamed of bad expired rank oil.When I left, that rank oil smell was all over me & my clothes! That was bad enough, but having my bank account embezzled for more money is completely unacceptable!

Me a my wife where in town for our honeymoon. Ive been in pain for almost a year in my shoulders and upper back. So much the pain keep me up at night and taking Advil like candy. My wife got me a one hour session of Deep tissue massage has not only helped me and relieved the pain I have full range of motion. Im a six foot three manger of a Gym and I cried because I was in such relief after I laughed with my Wife on how happy I was because now I can enjoy my honeymoon with out pain. Im so happy to have discovered Urban Oasis . On my first visit I had the 60 min Swedish Massage by masseuse Gaywynn. It was the best massage I have ever had! I returned the next day to relax in the Salt room. Sooooo relaxing, I loved every minute of it.

We went and seen Mr. Salty! My daughter and I had a wonderful experience in the salt room with a visit tailored just for us. Our family is recouping from a week of respiratory illness and this was just what we needed! We left feeling relaxed and pampered.

Carrie did a resurfacing peel facial on me and my husband. It was amazing! She told Me everything she was doing and it even greatly reduced my sun damage discoloration. I would give her 100 stars. We also did the salt room. We will be back next time we’re in Traverse City.

Wonderful experience from the instant we walked in to second we left. We came for a couples massage for our anniversary and left very relaxed and refreshed.

Visited over the weekend with a friend. The facial room was double booked so my appointment started an hour late which was disappointing. Facials included steam, several masks and neck/shoulder massages.A few recommendations:-update ceiling in massage and facial rooms. They we not the most pleasant to look at-offer a special service to the customer of their appointment was delayed by an hour

I truly appreciate the fact that they did not charge me a cancellation fee. In these trying times, I would have understood if they had charged me. Im from out of town and was scrambling to get my tire fixed. Their understanding of my situation was greatly appreciated. I will be going there when Im back in town.

I booked with the Spa for a full set of eyelash extensions before my vacation. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the service was great!

We made a reservation for a couples massage, coming from out of town. Well I called to confirm my reservation and they told me that they were closing down in a little bit and that there was not another massage therapist to do the second massage.What kind of business is that?

Poorly run. Wasnt working when we arrived (my dad actually fixed the room and turned the power back on). Reused blankets without washing between (same with eye pillows). Youre put in a room with strangers and its not private. She didnt turn the salt on when we first entered, nor did she turn on the music, so we just sat there in silence for 15 minutes with nothing happening. Long way to go if they plan to stay open.
