I had a two hour deep tissue massage for an early Mother’s Day gift. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because my therapist was amazing. If I could place her in another environment I would go back. The problem is you are in a cubicle. You hear everything and I was placed near the bathroom. I heard every flush and slamming of the toilet seat. Additionally the music is so loud I assume to drown out the busy street traffic. I would if I could recommend this business, but I can’t because as soon as became settled the toilet flushed.

Called in to make an appointment they wanted my cc on file. I walked in and explained I wanted a deep tissue Thai massage that I’m use to getting at other establishments. Curtains and massage tables was not like a traditional Thai massage, massuse did not understand English and massage did not feel good at all. After less than 15 mins I left and was charged $20. If your paying $100 for a massage you want it to be well worth it I won’t be coming back here. This is a regular massage place that should be charging around $40

My husband and I frequent this massage spa. We try to treat ourselves and go once a month and it is so worth it!Pat, the owner, has really figured out how to hire the best masseuses! They all get the pressure right and are always open to adjustment if youre not shy about letting them know.Ive recommended and have brought a handful of friends to this spa and Ill be continuing to do so!Best massage spa in the east bay and always so reliable. We love this place!

I have never felt so comfortable and calm in a massage. I’m an SA victim and have issues with people touching me and lea was so patient and comforting. I would give this place a hundred stars if I could. My wife received a massage by Alice and has nothing but wonderful things to say. They allowed us to open the curtain between our rooms so that we could be near one another for my comfort and it was so calm and welcoming. We will definitely be back.

Been to many massage places and Royal Thai Spa is by far my favorite. They always accommodate my needs, booking is easy & pricing is fair. Definitely recommend! Jessica is my favorite here, but they are all good! When I was pregnant I would come monthly for a pregnancy massage (life saver)! Love this place!

In general, the service and massages are good, what bothers me a lot is that they force you to leave tips. The cost of the massage is considerable enough to force you to give something that should be of your own free will. This is the reason why I start looking for another place

The best massage Ive ever had. Got the herbal massage for 90 minutes and it was amazing! My therapist was April and she really read my tention and what was needed to fix it.

Went for a Swedish couple’s massage. It was very relaxing and refreshing. Professional massage parlor with great customer service. Very well kept and hygienic place with privacy. Lisa and Sarah did an amazing job .

I love coming to The Royal Thai Spa. I try to come at least every other week. Their facilities are clean and comfortable, and you can’t go wrong with any of the masseuses. Personally I prefer Patricia for getting out any knots if I’m particularly stressed, it may not be “relaxing” but after my session with Patricia all my knots are gone! I typically go with April for more relaxing medium pressure Thai aroma massages. However, like I said you can’t go wrong with any of their masseuses, and if you’re looking for a legit massage without the fluff you can’t find better bang for your buck.

Ive been coming here for years and this place is always where I go when I really want to treat myself. My first massage with them was a prenatal treatment and I remember feeling like they really went over the top to make me feel pampered and catered to.Ive also really enjoyed all of their other treatments, including the Thai Aroma massage. Ending with the stretching session was a great way to come out of the meditative/sleep state I get into during a treatment.Love this place. Cant wait for my next massage!

I got the 60 min Thai massage and specifically asked them that I had pulled my lower back and I needed a focus on that but the masseuse focused every where else except that lower back and at the end I was told they didnt want to strain my lower back! , other than this the massage was relaxing although the cost seems to have increased dont believe the cost structure posted , currently the regular Thai massage for 60 mins is 90 dollars plus u need to tip another 10-20 dollars this isalmost mandatory cause u will be nudged to do so , the receptionist will ask u to tip upfront else will suggest u to tip after the massage and confirms if u have cash to do so , all this miscommunication and not so subtle insistence on tips spoils the entire experience.

Leah did an amazing job and I can stand straight up again! You can’t go wrong with any of the masseuse here.

I’ve had several massages here over the last couple years and it continues to be my go to spot in Union City. I recommend it to all my friends and family even coworkers. Service is always exceptional from booking to the actual massages. I never book with just one person because all the ladies are wonderful. I get the deep tissue and Swedish massages and I always come out feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. This most recent visit was for a prenatal massage, my first time for my first pregnancy and it was just as relaxing. Eva was very gentle while still applying the right amount of pressure. She made sure I was comfortable and overall made this visit super pleasant. Pat at the front desk is also so sweet and professional. When booking this appointment I originally booked for a Swedish massage and told her I was pregnant. As a first time mom I didn’t know I couldn’t be on my belly but she made sure to make the right accommodations for a safe massage. I can’t recommend this place enough. Must try!

Pretty good massages, and the service is nice.I came late and they were still very accommodating, which I appreciate, but the lack of privacy and curtains were a bit uncomfortable.The massage itself was fine, nothing special. I was hoping for more stretching which I thought was a signature part of Thai massage, but that really only happened for three minutes and then was back to a standard massage.Overall good, but nothing exceptional.

This is one of the best massage places I have been to from their work to prices. All of the masseuses do a wonderful job and communicate with you prior to starting the session. The ambience of Royal Thai place is great as well! Everytime I come here I never want to leave. I come in stressed and always leave feeling super relaxed! Also, the front desk is always there to help you and recommends you the type of massage you should get based on your needs and liking. 10/10 I recommend!

I have been to many massage parlors before, but since running into this place on yelp I cant imagine being massaged anywhere else anymore.I got a deep-tissue couples massage. From the decorations to the attentiveness of the front desk to the quality of the actual massage, I appreciate every detail put into this establishment. The masseuse had fluid yet technical movements, hitting knots I didnt know I had. If you are looking for a professional and pleasant experience, I would recommend giving this place a go.

I been coming here for a couple years now and I highly recommend this place to everyone! If you need to find a time of relaxation this is the spot! Everyone does such a good job with accommodating me. They start with offering you a paper with areas you want to focus on, the pressure and what type of massage. Then take you back into separate rooms and did I mention how clean the place is! I love coming here. I always come out feeling like a brand new person! Pat is always sooooo welcoming and making sure you had a good experience! Love this place!

Love this place, been going for 2 years now. The Thai massages here are very effective and make me feel healed afterwards.Only thing is they don’t have any rooms with walls, only sectioned off areas with curtains. I wish it more closed because you can hear the next area’s conversations pretty easily. Also while changing it doesn’t feel super private since there are gaps in the curtains sometimes. Other than that it’s awesome!

I love this spa. I get a massage once a week and the quality healing massages have been life changing. This is not a place you go to for the “fluff” such as Champaign and fuzzy slippers. This is a place you go to for a real massage that has you feeling so much better afterwards. No time is wasted here, the therapists make full use of the time and really want you to feel relaxed and healthier each time. The staff is very nice especially the owner Pat. They care about your whole experience and really listen to what your needs are. I highly recommend this place and please remember to tip. Quality service deserves the reward of a decent tip. I am happy to show them my gratitude. It’s the least we can do when the service warrants it. 🙏🏼

I had a deep tissue massage with Annie and loved it. She knew specific areas to focus and release tension. I felt much more relaxed afterward.The receptionist and workers were very polite and friendly. The shop was organized and clean.

Booked a 1 hour massage, I called to see if there was a last minute appointment. They were able to get me in, very relaxing and my therapist was able to decrease the soreness I had in my legs. Will definitely come back again.

The first time I went to this massage parlor I remember I had this very tight knot right behind my lower shoulder blade that made it difficult to sit in a chair. I made an appointment the morning of and was able to be seen the same day. The therapist could feel right away where the tension was and kneeled me out. After the session I felt brand new!So now over the past year or so Ive been having sessions every couple of months. All of the staff members Ive met have are quite knowledgeable and have great strength.It seems that recently theyve gone away with the thai massage method of pressing their foot on the persons back but the pressure they provide with their hands, forearms, and elbows provides great pressure.

This place is truly amazing. From the moment you walk in the door. You are greated with a smile and wonderful personality. That will literally make your day. Pat at the front desk is truly amazing. If she doesnt brighten your day and make you smile, no one will. The moment you walk in the amazing arouma pulls you in and relaxes you. The music is soothing and the decor is very upscale and beautiful. I couldnt stop staring at the beautiful wall paper. Which I learned was custom from Thailand.Once you discuss the type of massage you would like. You fill our a short form with your name and and mini questionnaire about focus points for the massage etc. I originally wanted the sweedish but went with the deep tissue. Per Pat recommendation and I am glad I did. The massage was amazing and the masseuse did such a great job. It wasnt at all painful like I assumed deep tissue massages were. The massage table was nice and soft and had heated pads to keep you warm. Set at the perfect tempature. You also get to lay under a very comfy sheet during the massage to keep you warm. The sheet is moved accordingly based on the area being massaged. So you are not being massage through the sheet the entire time.Whatever massage you decided. It is worth every penny. This by far is the best massage place Ive been to in the Bay Area. No other ones compare. So if you are reading this. Just book your appointment now because they are simply the best in the area

Pregnant mamas comes here for a great prenatal massage before you get too big! I’m 20 weeks for reference. I felt so tended to and cared for and left feeling more relaxed and limber. My husband had a deep tai massage as well and he feels like a million bucks! This is our third time here but first prenatal massage and iim coming back before I get too big! 🤍

An average massage at a establishment that has curtains on 3/4 sides instead of solid walls. You can hear any conversations or instructions between therapist and client. For $85 per hour my advise is to find a better location with equal therapeutic massage skills with solid walls!

Was visiting the area on business, walked in without an appointment and was helped right away. It’s not a fancy place, and prices were a little high compared to my place in NYC. (Reason for 4 stars) however the masseuse was great! She really did a good job of getting into my knots with deep tissue massage. I would go back if I were in the area again!

Some very talented folks working here! My upper back mobility has never been better, and they really help to reduce lower back pain. Highly recommend Thai aroma massage with med-high pressure.

Good place to get a genuine massage. Lady at reception and the masseuse were very professional. Just to let you know their medium is pretty intense so say hard at your own risk :-)The massage will cost you around $100 and then some tips. A little bit too much but this is CA where everything is a bit too much.Make sure to select the pain areas before beginning the massage so that they can pin point their effort. Have a good time.

I fall in love with the Royal Thai Spa. This place is modern, clean and relaxing. The owner is nice and friendly and the massage therapist is very knowledgeable and professional. It was a truly amazing experience. She relieved all tension in my neck, shoulders and back. My whole body felt great and was so relaxing after the session. I will definitely become a regular customer and recommend everyone here.

Wow! This is one of the best real traditional Thai massage in the area for sure. This place was just open last week and the staffs are extremely nice and helpful. I just came back from Thailand and this place is even better than a massage I had in Thailand. The place is very upscale compare to other massage places we have been to in the area, but the price is very reasonable. My wife and I had a couple massages and she loves this place as well. We had one of the most peaceful and relax time here. Love it!!

Excellent care. The location is right next to the main road and can get noisy. Masseurs are caring and the experience was good. My usual Thai hot tea with some of my prev Thai style massage parlors wasnt to be.The masseurs wore masks and this turned my 4 to 5 stars!

UPDATE: I am SO greatful for Sara. Out of my 4 massages today was the best ever. I mean all her massages are amazing but today, was just the best!!This is my 2nd 2 hour Thai Herbal Massage. I highly recommend it!!I find it hard to describe. But I felt every lower back pain I have exit my body. Ive never experienced this before. Its a great feeling to be pain free!!Ive been having flashbacks of her hitting the pin point of my pain areas in my lower back. Shes simply amazing at what she does, and I am very greatful I found you guys!! I am not sure where I would be today without Sara. Thank you SO much!!Ugh, about 6 months ago I hit my lower left butt/hip area on my back seat Jeep door bolt.. I was on the ground for a little while, but got back to my office to ride out the pain and take it easy. After a few weeks, the pain didnt go away, I was miserable and found it hard to get out of bed in the morning. I definitely know I had damaged sciatica nerve due to the pain I was feeling(lower back pain, and it shoots down your leg)In the past months, Ive tried several home remedies, but nothing helped my pain. My last resort was looking for a massage therapist. I thankfully found good reviews at the royal thia spa. I chose Sara for my deep tissue massage. OMG, 90 minutes of Deep tissue massage was what I needed!! Shes absolutely amazing!! I will admit I was sore for a few days, but have zero pain as of today. Sara, thank you SO much 💖!!I am SO happy that I booked my next appointment for next month. The owner is very informative and provided excellent customer service 👏

Sarah did the greatest job. I had a deep tissue 60 min session. She understands the problem areas, and was able to help. Shes a healer. The place is clean and professional. They offer specials, if you buy 5 massages, youd save $25 each session. I included the tips with my payment. Hope shell get it. Ill tip her cash next time.

Hands down one of the best massage places I have even been to. The spa itself was very clean and had a very welcoming and soothing feel to it. The lady at the front desk, Ham, was very friendly and was able to inform me about the different massages they offer. I ended up getting the Hot Stone Therapy Massage for 90 mins. That was probably one of the best massages I have ever got. My masseuse, Yan, was absolutely amazing. She did a very good job and was a true professional. Yan asked me if there were any areas that needed extra attention, I told her my right shoulder has been bothering and she took care of that. This spa has gained me as a loyal customer. So glad I found this spot.

Greatest place!!! We had a couple massage ( I took foot + legs, husband got aroma Thai one, both for 90 min). Oh my God guys, how it was amazing!!! Sooo professional!!! Rooms are so newly remodeled, everything is clean, all was safe during COVID period (masks, sanitizers, good air condition), staff super nice and friendly!!! If you really want to get relaxed, feel relief and be well served I recommend this place! I will definitely come back to try another type of massage here!

This review is long overdue.I have a lower back injury that causes grief in other areas of my body sometimes. Last year, my neck and right shoulder was a painful mess. I couldnt lift my right arm above my head and I could barely turn my head in either direction because it hurt too much. And, of course, my body would choose to be a wreck right before an event while I was out of town - far away from my doctors.The pain was so bad that I became desperate and decided to book a massage somewhere. I went on online and found The Royal Thai Spa with many 5 star reviews so I decided to book an appointment. I left a message around 8AM requesting an appointment. They called me back within an hour and got me in that afternoon.I booked a 2 hour massage with Patricia for deep tissue and HOLLLYYYY--- bless that lady. And her hands. And I apologize to her hands and fingers. The massage pressure was A-MAZING!! For all 2 hours, she checked in to make sure the pressure was good - it was perfect throughout, that she targeted the problem areas - she most DEFINITELY did, and that she didnt cause problems elsewhere with certain techniques - that bedside manner. By the end of the massage, I had fallen asleep and when I walked out, I was a new person. I could turn my head and lift my arm. I was amazed...so I came back again today for a pinch nerve in my lower back.I was visiting East Bay without much notice so I sent an appointment request at 8AM again. They responded back within an hour and got me in at noon. To the lovely receptionist, thank you for always responding so quickly. I had another 2 hour deep tissue massage but this time Sara was helping me. Do their entire staff have magical hands and impeccable bedside manners?? Because again, HOLLLYYYY!! Whatever I wrote above: CTRL+C, CTRL+V.Most places Ive gone to for deep tissue dont do it for longer than 90mins., are super expensive, and/or dont apply enough pressure the entire time. I dont have that issue here. I dont live in East Bay but Im beginning to think I need to make this city a regular stop just because of this Spa. I leave feeling amazing EVERY. TIME. If youre in the fence about coming here, try it at least once. I know Ill be back again for sure!

My sister in law booked this place for the 2 of us. The owner was very friendly place was clean. I didnt get my masseuse name. She threw a towel over my head n tucked it around my neck then when she turned me over she threw the towel over my face I had my mask on so now theres towel n she pulled the sheet over as well n pulled it all together really tight I couldnt breathe so I pulled it loose. I appreciate the effort to keep everyone safe but this was way overboard. I had massages b4 at other places so I know what to expect. Well after my request for feet massage it wasnt done head n face not done. I thut she will get to it later.She said something very softly thru her mask n ran out b4 I could say anything .I am very unhappy with this place n dont recommend it.

Do not book a massage on the website. I booked online and saw a charge immediately and when canceled right away, there was no email sent for booking or for refund. When I called for a refund, the manager was very rude and started yelling at me without a reason. I had to flag this business on my credit card to get a refund.

If you really want a good massage then this place is the best one for that. They dont offer other services like a usual spa place but yes definitely worth going back over and over again
