Best massage I’ve ever had! I had a stone massage with Angelica for my birthday and it surpassed my expectations by so much. I’ve had massages in different cities and countries but this was really amazing. The setting is very nice, super clean and relaxing. Love that it incorporated a foot soak beforehand with a scent I could choose and communication was excellent. I will be dreaming of this for a while!

Best Pedicure of my life with Nelis! It started with a warm welcome from receptionist followed by a short relaxing time in the spa waiting room with the calming sounds of a wall wide fountain with warm tea in hand.Followed by warm foot soak (with selection of essential oils), polish selection and then sitting in the most confortable chair in a quite serene room with a soft blanket. I booked the Only Natural Pedicure, which included nail shaping, scrub, massage and polish. I enjoyed every second of it while listening to the water fountain and the absence of loud noises or conversations. It was a truly recharging service. I left the spa with my next appointment booked!

Angelica was an excellent masseuse! After a 50 minute Pressure message I was feeling refreshed, and woke up today energized and ready to start the week. Starting the message with the hot foot soak and ending with the steam room really was the best move, I can’t wait to come back.

Yo, I found this awesome place thats like a one-stop shop for all your pampering needs. I went with my girls to get massages, facials, and manis and pedis. We wouldve done our hair too if we had more time. The place was huge, with a bunch of relaxation areas, a waterfall sound room, and even a steam room to detox. I had the most amazing time, I was so relaxed I fell asleep during each treatment, lol. Definitely a place Ill be going back to. Thanks for helping me find such a great spa! ❤️

Appallingly unprofessional. Not only was my stylist late—- but when she did come up to me it was to say She needed time to clean up her space. Then I proceeded to wait another five minutes of which I peaked over and she was having a conversation with another stylist, not at all cleaning and not at all respectful of my time. Went in for their signature facial. Relaxing environment, steam room & showers in womens locker room, quiet space to sit & relax before/after service. Lupe was my esthetician. She worked on my areas of concern & gave helpful recommendations. Great experience 👍

Ive been a regular client, and each session leaves me feeling utterly restored and relaxed. Ankitas expertise is unmatched; she has a remarkable ability to target tension and melt it away. The spas ambiance is serene, and the waiting room is a peaceful oasis. The amenities are top-notch, adding to the overall experience. Having had massages in major cities like San Francisco, New York, and Miami, I can confidently say that Ankita is the best. Hey folks, just had to share my awesome experience at Changes Spa in Walnut Creek with Vivian. This isnt your average pedicure, trust me!So, usually, Im super ticklish on my feet, but Vivian worked some kind of magic. It was like she knew exactly what my feet needed without setting off the tickle alarms.The paraffin wax treatment and heated booties? Pure foot heaven. And Vivians foot and leg massage? Honestly, a game-changer. It felt like I was walking on clouds afterward.To my fellow guys out there, seriously, dont miss out on this. Changes Spa and Vivian are the real deal. Treat yourself – you wont regret it. Vivian, youre a legend!

Ive been going to Changes for many many years for pedicures because they offer a unique and relaxing experience by having clients sit in zero gravity recliners. Its THE most relaxing pedicure Ive ever had and the technicians are fantastic. Ive never found a comparable experience. I also appreciate that they do the foot soaks in a clean bowl vs the foot baths found in regular nail salons. Highly recommend!

I absolutely loved my massage with Abby! I have a hard time finding a therapist who goes deep enough for me, and I had to ask her to ease up, especially in the neck and shoulders! Ive never had anyone go through my medical history before, but I thought it was a nice touch as there were some things she curtailed to match my personal needs. She seems well educated in her skill, I felt at ease with her touch and have already booked out with her!

Spa Pedicures with Ann at Changes Salon are simply the best. This experience is unlike any other pedicure Ive had at other places. First, you start out seated with your feet in a bowl filled with water and your choice of fragrance. After a few minutes, take your feet out, dry them off, slip on your flip flops to go pick out the polish color (if you havent already), and then go to the pedicure room. The focal point of this dark, relaxing, zen-like room is an enormous vertical waterfall filling almost the entire length and height of the room. Water runs down an opaque piece of glass spanning almost the entire wall. The sounds of the water and the music is calming. Youll sit in a zero gravity chair facing the waterfall. Some privacy is provided between clients by sheer curtains hung between the chairs. Next, Ann reclines your chair and provides you a blanket if youd like, with your complete comfort her biggest concern. As you relax, meditate, sleep and/or play on your phone, your lower legs are pampered to the extreme with exfoliating rubs, paraffin masks, massage and hot towels. Callouses filed down. Toenails are cut, filed, cuticles cleaned up, and polish applied. Finally, you can remain in the chair a bit longer to give your cute toenails some time to dry.You leave feeling relaxed, refreshed, clean with beautifully painted nails.Many thanks to Ann at Changes Salon for the perfect pedicure!!

I have been a client here many years although there was a hiatus. There were a lot of miscommunication on Changes Spa’s part regarding my massage ...massage therapist Wendy who never introduced herself was insolent and UN accommodating to my request for a deep tissue (simply for my neck/upper back - which doesn’t take much pressure in the first place) and she barely put any effort in. For the only massage they had available on Saturday, which was a half an hour, she only massaged for 15-20 min. Unfortunately although the lady that greeted us (my daughter had a facial) was great, she didn’t tell me I had to put on a robe and it was a few years already so I wasn’t aware if I was supposed to due to the length of my massage. Wendy tried arguing with me about the aspect of the massage. I tried courteously communicating with her to no avail. Her negative energy made me more tense especially when I wouldn’t even call the service she administered Swedish. The manager was nice but 20% off doesn’t cover the terrible experience today. Needless to say they lost a client for good. That’s the beauty of capitalism. You can take your hard earned $$$ and go somewhere else who will give stellar service instead.

I have been a regular client at Changes Spa for almost 5 years and they never disappoint. The atmosphere is warm and relaxing, the receptionists are always very friendly, quick and professional and the facilities are well kept. There is an attention to detail that makes the experience complete: the relaxation room with tea and snacks, the heated towels and aromatherapy (if preferred) during the massage treatment, and the overall cleanliness and neatness. I am a triathlete and a picky massage client and I find the massage staff and Natalia, in particular to be exceptional. She has the true gift of healer and she has great knowledge of injuries and how to manage them with intuitive and in depth bodywork. If I skip a massage visit, my body will let me know.

I went to see “Healing Hands” Abby for a prenatal massage at 37 weeks of my second pregnancy. I finally booked this appointment because of painful Braxton Hicks that would feel like stabbing pain in my left hip. Abby worked on my lower back and hips for 45 minutes and basically stopped my Braxton Hicks. I booked my next appointment right away for less than a week before my due date and she worked on my hips again. My gait when walking has definitely improved. My thighs as well ache less and I’m ready to pop this baby out!

I recently went in with my three sisters for a spa day to celebrate my birthday. We each had two services. They helped me schedule the services all together. The pedicures are fantastic. Massages and facials too. I am a loyal customer. Cant wait for next time.

This is a 3 star day spa at best. There is a lot of fluff and they try to ding you for every little thing. I find they really dont care about your experience. They have given me slippers with 2 left feet. When I brought it to their attention they asked if I wanted something done about it. Worst massage I ever had. More like half a body instead of a full body. I had problems there before with facials too and they just have a no accountability attitude it seems. I only went back because I was given a gift card. There are so many better places in the area to receive services without all the fluff and sales. This is a place that just wants to sell products.

I have been a Changes customer for many years. Recently I had the pleasure of getting my second facial with Elizabeth. I truly enjoyed the SPA experience. Elizabeth again was fantastic and I really appreciate her knowledge and professionalism. Liked it so much that I booked my next appointment. Highly recommend this local business and Elizabeth in particular.

I dont go here currently. When I did go here for services, I would have different gals cut my hair. When I saw this one haircut gal one day at the salon, I asked if she could cut my hair, well, guess what? This gal cut my hair for 12 years!! She didnt work at Changes during the whole 12 years.Had another gal that I went to for massage services. She had the magic touch, this was the first time I ever got a massage. Glad that I came here for services. I was also fortunate to be able to attend Changes 15 anniversary party. Both ladies that provided me services where there that evening. The party rocked!!! Rock on Changes!!

Ive been a client of Changes for many years, and highly recommend them. My manicurist, Tamara, is not just a great technician, but a lovely person who I consider a friend. I see her once a month for a gel manicure and spa pedicure--two hours of heaven! When my daughter is in town from West Los Angeles, I always try to get in her for a spa pedicure because shes never experienced anything that comes close in LA.

Rebecca does great color! I get compliments all the time that my color is great! She is also such a kind person and I really enjoy talking to her during my appointment. I also get my brows done there and massage and they do a great job. Definitely worth the money!

I have been enjoying the care and creative flare of Ambers nail art for many years now. She does a fabulous job and the only reason I have to go back is because my nails grow out - but the polish looks great! I get compliments for her pedicures - everyone loved the watermelons on my big toes :-)!

I have been going to Changes for 18 years and get a facial once a month with Kristin She is absolutely the best esthetician !!! Love the way she has cared for my skin ,Im always glowing after my facials. My skin looks and feels awesome. I also get my hair done with Karina and my massage with Anthony . Ive been coming to changes because of the great services they provide and they have the best team!! Wouldnt go any where else Love, Love this salon!!!

It had been a while since I’ve had my haircut, needed a good trim and layer. I found changes, their website was easy to navigate and I was able to get an appointment without calling (I love that). Yadira did my hair, had a great shampoo and loved my cut! She was friendly and helpful. I had no issues! Will be back for another cut, and maybe a facial.

At my first visit here, I was greeted warmly by the staff at Changes Salon and my stylist/colorist Elizabeth was equally warm and friendly. She listened carefully to what I wanted and took great care in providing it. She is very professional and friendly. I will definitely keep coming and will request Elizabeth.

Changes has been my go to place for massages and services. Unfortunately, based on my latest experience I will not return. I had a sub-par massage and customer service. There was no place to relax in the over crowded relaxation room (and I was one of the 1st treatments that day) so I had to for go that which is one of my favorite parts of the spa. The locker room was also over crowded and the front desk customer service wasnt as friendly. Im sad to find a new spa, but all around this experience made me not want to return.

Took my sister here and she loved it . i liked the atmosphere.. Very relaxing. Lexi was very nice. ThanksUpdate, went there for gel nails, horrible, horrible, horrible. Even my 10 year old niece can can apply polish better than this. Waste of money. Went there only because I had gift certificate.

I love Changes. I love their spa pedicure and just had one. What a lovely indulgence for my otherwise fairly spartan life. I get a glass of wine while I lay back under a warmed blanket and neck wrap with an eye pillow whilea fairy works on my toes. She has the lightest touch compared to the bloody meat carving spectacle when I do my own pedicure. My only dislike is that the manicurist likes to leave space between the cuticle and the polish. Ive had her at least three, probably four times now. This time I asked her not to use her nail to do this. She said she uses a nail stick. I then refined my request to tell her I dont want to see any nail between the polish and the nail (a performance spec, I dont care what you are using to do it, just dont do it) As we finished she said she just lightly swiped the nails. I wasnt sure exactly what she meant I just gave her the thumbs up since whatever is done, is done, and I had to get going to what I had planned that evening. I tipped her over 20%. When I get home I examine my toes a little closer and I see nail. Why would anyone want the nail to show? I dont want my nails to look like they are growing out. I guess Ill just have to use a different person in the future. I tried.

I went to Changes Salon & Day Spa and spent over $800 for 2 facials, 2 massages, and 2 mani/pedis and $39 facial product, plus tips, for a belated mothers day gift from my husband for a mother/daughter spa day (please note this was a total splurge for us). Facials were awesome, massage was okay (have to agree with other reviewers comments about the massage therapist - had the same one).Mani/pedi - PLEASE READWhen we called to make appointments, they asked NO questions about our nails or what we had on them or what we would like. Yet, they charged me $68 for REMOVAL of dip/gel ($41 for me - 6 fingers only as 4 of them had cleanly lost the dip/tip; removal of gel on my toes and $27 for removal of gel on my daughter’s toes and an upgrade on a regular mani to gel mani - which the manicurist asked her to do because apparently they didnt have the tools to take off dip). But AGAIN, they NEVER told us ANYTHING or asked ANY questions when we called to make the appointments. Took 2.5 HOURS to do my REGULAR mani/pedi, which promptly chipped within an hour. Additionally, despite our day there, they made it feel like such an imposition to take off the gel/dipI tried to discuss this with them but I was told sorry - there is nothing we can do - and offered a 10% off the $68 (seriously $6.80 for an $800 day). I told my friends about this - some of whom have been to this spa - and they were appalled.While this place is beautiful, this treatment was completely unacceptable. I rarely resort to social media but I think others should be warned as I felt completely ripped off with the exception of the facial.

Im new to Changes and have been getting facials from Lupe. The minute you walk into the salon it feels good. The reception staff are very helpful and nice. You definitely have the Spa feeling once you change into a comfortable robe and slippers. I would highly recommend Changes to anyone.

Venus has been taking care of my hair for 20 years, across trends and styles and just *life*. Her deep expertise, careful listening, and fabulous sense of style never let me down. Beautiful, soothing premises too.

Suffering from an autoimmune condition, massage for me is more than just a great way to relax, it also represents an important kind of therapy. As a consequence, I cast about, visiting many spas, in search of a great experience that also offered something more than the usual massage high. Changes ended that search.First off, Changes takes a holistic approach to getting you in the mindset of changing not to be too cliched. The Aqua Terra room is perfect for reflection, for thinking about what you might change in life to be happier, healthier, or more productive. I spend time there meditating/thinking before and after each session. Other massage places in the Bay Area have you quickly change and then, in the same room, its down to business. While this may save on rental space, it loses out on the broader effectiveness of treatment.The massages themselves are excellent. Ive worked with Alessandra and Natalia, most recently, and Marcelina some years before. All were excellent but Alessandra and Natalia are especially talented. Many massage therapists have something like a one size fits all approach to massage. They listen some to what the problems are but, more or less, its the same basic approach. Alessandra is easily the most creative massage therapist Ive ever come across. She asks about what youre feeling and then devises all manner of solutions, from those often used in the massage therapists textbooks like hot stones and the like, to solutions drawn from yoga, physical therapy, and elsewhere. With Alessandra, each massage is new and interesting and, most importantly effective.Natalia is more systematic than Alessandra. She carefully listens and then hypothesizes about causes and physiology. Her massages are built to get at the underlying pathology of the problem rather than to feel good in the moment. This is a brave stance on her part since, undoubtedly, clients tip better for therapists who make them feel better in the moment rather than over the long term. But her hypotheses are often correct and can make a real difference.To give one example, Ive had terrible pain behind my right shoulder for a couple of years. Various approaches all failed, but Natalia was able to see that if I focused on holding my shoulders back, expanding my chest, and working to fix other aspects of my posture, the problem would go away. She helped me with all of this, not just during the session but with exercises and the like, and it worked. The pain is gone--no drugs, no twisting myself into a pretzel, just simple observation and correction. To put this in perspective, trained physical therapists tried to solve the same problem without success. She is easily the most thoughtful, and effective, massage therapist Ive ever come across.To conclude, if massage is just about having a good time during the period of the therapy, there are many choices. Changes is excellent, but not so different from the competition. If youre looking for more. If you see massage as part of something larger, if you are genuinely looking for changes, then this spa is out of this world great. Its really true to its name---the place to go if you are really looking for Changes.

My daughter treated me to a wonderful afternoon for a late mothers day early birthday gift. It had to have been the best present I ever recieved. And now I am going to treat her to the same for her 30th birthday. There is such a wonderful staff here. Everyone is so nice and thoughtful. I cant wait to go back so glad it is just a month away!

One word: membership! This is the first salon and spa that I have seen offer a membership and I am hooked! I chose the flex membership so I can choose between a facial, massage or mani/pedi each month. I already had my first appointment for a facial and it was truly a spa experience in the middle of my work day! The robe, slippers, relaxation room, the whole nine. The facial itself was fantatstic and I was also given a prescription for facial products based on my skin type and problem areas. Not to mention everyone is SUPER friendly and helpful! Love, love, love! I would give Changes 50 stars if I could!!!

Rebecca is INCREDIBLE. I have a ton of waist-length brown hair that likes to turn brassy orange when lightened, and I am super particular about how I like it cut. Rebecca asked a lot of questions ahead of time and was precise in choosing a target color with me (I’d never had a stylist show me swatches of hair before). Her balayage turned out EXACTLY how we discussed it and how I had hoped. I’ve been looking for the right stylist for over a year now since moving here. The receptionist recommended Rebecca when I called and asked for a colorist. I’m SO happy with how it all worked out. Now my hair will look amazing for my wedding. Thank you!!!

Decided to pamper myself to a pedicure which was about 1hr long which included a foot massage. It was heaven on earth especially after not being able to touch my toes for the past several weeks since Im pregnant.

Caron is really exceptional- she is the absolute best with hair design and color. She has done my hair for years. In addition she is amazing with people and her positive outlook and spirit of gratitude is so refreshing!

I had an incredible aromatherapy massage by Sergio. I was so relaxed I almost feel asleep. Only complain was it wasnt long enough. Next time Im going for the 15 minute add on. Thank you Sergio....It was the highlight of my weekend.

I have long hair with bangs. It is straight and healthy. I keep it this way by having regular haircuts with Jasmine. She knows how to cut hair. She is constantly learning new techniques and it shows on my hair. Cant recommend enough for a successful hair experience.

Every service I have had at Changes has been amazing, I would highly recommend if you have not visited to not delay and book today. I also would recommend a service called the Amazon Rain Experience it is amazing. One last thing Changes offer great monthly membership packages that are a great gift for someone or for yourself!!!

I bought my wife a gift certificate and she came back in tears. Not the outcome I hoped for. She liked her stylist but the staff was beyond rude. They sat her down in the wrong room. After sitting there for twenty minutes they made a huge stink about it and let it be known she was being watched on camera. She chose to leave versus stay for her spa treatment. What a disappointment.

VERY overpriced and difficult to get an appt. My hair color single process and cut took 4 months to get in for, cost 450, the appoinrment was rushed, and the blowout was frizzy.

Very disappointing! I am expecting a full body massage but its not what i expected to be and the therapist just gave me a mild pressure. I dont feel any better afterall. . And the receptionist did not even informed me that she assigned a male therapist for me. The service is not worth the pay.

I. Walked in for an eyebrow wax, they said it would be 15min for a girl to come back. I said I would wait. The girl came back, and left again. They didnt tell me anything. An additional 15 minutes pass and they ask for me to come back tomorrow. So after 30min of waiting finally say they cant see me today? The people were just fine and Im sure they do a great job, but they need to communicate better with their customers.

My sister and I got one hour massages done. It was amazing! The facility is beautiful, peaceful, and comfortable. The massage was great! We are definitely coming back.

One of my favorite places to go for a special treatment! Both Tamara and Jenny are great at pedicures and make me feel so comfortable. Definitely worth the treat!

Took my daughter to Elizabeth, and she did a very nice job on my daughters haircut. My daughter was so happy, and I went to Lexi for eyebrow waxing and she, did an amazing job. I highly reccomend this place.

I always get pedicures with Mary, she is absolutely the best. My mom loves Angela, so much that she schedules her pedicures only when Angela is working.

You’ll never have a pedicure like Changes’ Spa Pedicure! It’s truly life changing! All the other services are great as well, but make sure to get a pedicure! Service is great and the spa has the perfect ambiance.

It used to be a great place to relax and have a good time. It was much cleaner. The price went up:(Of of the suggestion, please put signs explaining rules or good practices (people keep doors open for sooooo long, all heat goes away).Other than that, its still a unique place.
