I have been a customer of Red Door/Mynd Spa for 25 years. I was nervous when the change occurred this year to Mynd Spa but the same great people are there and the salon is more comfortable and beautiful. Sharon is the best hair stylist with a great coloring skill-set. She listens to client preferences and tries to fulfill them. The other staff are friendly and helpful too. Waiting to see if the products are as good as Red Door which I loved!!

I have been coming to this spa for over 10 years, first because of a Mothers Day gift of a massage. I loved it and have been a steady massage customer of Patricks ever since. Hes phenomenal. The staff is always courteous and thoughtful, especially in the changing room and at the front desk where the staff tries to help you get what you want(!)Great location. Convenient to the subway, shopping, and restaurants.

I thought chain spas were not my thing. I really didnt want to like this place. Oh my damn, Im so loving this place. I have no problem admitting when Im wrong. The Wisconsin Avenue location was so wonderful to me (and I was late). Isabella was amazing. My husband booked me an essential massage and pedicure. Im very very impressed with their services, furniture, and ambience. I highly recommend The Red Door. 🤗

I always enjoy patronizing this business. It is located a short walk from the Friendship Heights Metro. Assuming you plan ahead, its relatively easy to make an appointment. The staff have always been reasonably accommodating when Ive had to make last minute adjustments to my scheduled appointment. The space is clean and calming, and the service has always been timely. The prices are a tad higher than Id prefer to pay, but spa services are rarely cheap, and I do believe Red Door provides services commensurate with the established pricing.

It was such a relaxing experience. They really did everything they could to put you at ease. I have been to a couple Red Door Spas and this location is my favorite. Its large, the locker room allows more privacy when changing and showering, the robes are so comfy and come in more sizes. I especially love that they gave us a complimentary hair and makeup touch up before we left.

I love Red Door Salons, I think they do a great job! I had the best pedicure of my life there. However, every time I get a facial they spend the first 10 minutes trying to up sell me on products and procedures. I know my face isnt perfect, I wish I had money to do more, but I go there to relax and feel better about myself. Their efforts to up sell by telling me I need more make me leave feeling inadequate, which is not why I go to a salon. I went to the Chevy Chase one, and the one inside the Willard and I had the same experience so it is definitely something upper management pushes. I probably wont be back.

Isabelle is wonderful!! She is a true artist with lashes. I enjoy coming to see her for my “nap”. The front desk staff is professional and very friendly. Scheduling is always easy and very accommodating. I highly recommend this location and especially Isabelle for lash extensions.

I just had an “escape manicure” For pain relief and the nail technician was terrible. She barely spoke to me, did not inquire as to what might be in pain, performed the weakest massage I’ve ever had, sliced my finger open with the nail file (seriously she drew blood), and barely touched my cuticles. My nails/hands look barely better than when I walked in. I usually have positive experiences with this company. I’ve gotten massages and hair cuts here before. But I’ll certainly not be using this nail technician again.

I really enjoyed my visit to this spa location. It is right off the metro station and right next to a shopping complex. I came D.C. for a conference and looked up their services.There is a separate changing room for the men to simply relax before their treatment. There are a bunch of toiletries available for use and the changing area was always stocked and the showers were always clean between each use. There are additional areas where people can sit as well. The spa is immaculate and it is kept tidy and clean.The treatment room was nice and cozy and certainly kept at a relaxing temperature. The staff was friendly and were always willing to assist.

Nina was excellent. Let me start with that. However, patrons and staff were constantly talking and it really interrupted my ability to reflect and enjoy my treatment. I will return because of Nina, but may I suggest asking patrons and staff to respect the mood... l could hardly enjoy the tranquil background music because of all the conversation..

The facilities and amenities were excellent - clean and luxurious. Despite being so conveniently located on busy Wisconsin Avenue, the atmosphere inside the spa was serene and relaxing. It felt like an oasis. I enjoyed the knowledge and skill of my esthetician and nail technician.

I love visiting Elizabeth Arden in Chevy Chase for pedicures. The check-in process is friendly and professional. There are great magazines to read in the waiting area for manicure/pedicure appointments. If you are thirsty there is plenty of water infused with lemon or cucumber to drink. If you prefer a hot beverage, both tea and coffee are available. Vevica, the pedicurist I visit, is simply brilliant. My feet look and feel delightful after every visit!

Can’t remember the last time I received such a poor manicure. The staff was extremely rude when I asked for an extra coat of nail polish. Because they refused, you can still see the tips through the polish color. The staff also did not put a full tip coat on, so my nails look blotchy. It was quite frustrating being treated this way, as I was with a corporate event and we were giving them a day full of business. I’ve been to a lot of nail salons around the world and this has to rank in the top 3 worst.

I visit regularly! Sharon is my stylist and she is top notch! She give an awesome hair wash and always feels like a scalp massage. She takes her time, is friendly, fun styles and is very accommodating.

Just had the most disappointing and unprofessional experience at the Red Door Spa in Chevy Chase. I had booked massages weeks ago, for my mother and mother-in-law for Mothers Day, specifically asking for female therapists for the treatment, per their preference. When we arrived, we were told that they were booked with male therapists. When we politely declined as this was not what we requested, the manager accosted us, saying, Are you Muslim, is that why you are insisting on female therapists? Wont your husbands allow you to have male therapists? This is offensive and unprofessional on many levels. We left and will not be going to this spa ever again. Thank for ruining Mothers Day for us!

Grady is the best. Hes a great conversationalist which makes the whole experience relaxing and fun. That wouldnt be enough to keep me coming back though. Hes also and incredible stylist and colorist. Hes even able to work with my 4 giant cowlicks :) I already recommended him to a friend who raved about my cut and color.

Visited the salon while visiting DC and found a stylist I wanted to take back home in Sharon. She did an amazing job on my hair and gave me the haircut and style I wanted quickly and efficiently. The staff is wonderful.

Shahnaz is the best. She always goes above and beyond to give me incredible results from my facials. Shes the only person I trust in D.C. with my face because when its in her hands it always looks and feels amazing! Since Ive started seeing her for monthly facials, people go out of their way to compliment me on the glow and evenness of my skin. Its healthier, clearer, and easier to manage than ever. I love wearing makeup, but now I feel like I have the option of going without it. That kind of confidence is priceless. The services at Red Door are very expensive, but for the quality and results I get from Shahnaz I will continue to come back to see her. Shes also just a caring and lovely person.

Hannah was amazing! I enjoyed every minute of my facial. I was a little nervous coming in but she made that feeling go away quickly. She was very knowledgeable about rosacea treatment. I will be back often.

Everyone at Mynd Spa and Salon is pleasant, professional, and wonderful. Aziza, my hair stylist is caring and listens to what I want done. She has given me the best hair cut and style. I have gotten the best hair color and highlights by her. I highly recommend Mynd Salon at 5225 Wisconsin Ave, NW. Washington DC.

Fanny is a great pedicurist. She is very pleasant and she takes time to massage and pamper each foot. Her time is a bit lengthy. however, so I end up paying for spending over time at the parking garage. Her manner is the best, just speed up the procedure a little, please.

Celine gives the best facials! Ive tried other salons -- even other Red Door Salons -- but no one can come close to the facials Ive received at Chevy Chase. One of the best things is that Celine isnt pushy with the product sales. She respects my choices for non-Arden products, and Ive learned to trust her advice on products sold at Red Door. Building trust helps to make the facial a more relaxed and satisfying experience.

I was not told beforehand that a deep tissue massage would be an extra $25 dollars. My masseuse hardly did deep tissue and did not give a good massage at all for $140 and had I known going into it that it would be an additional $25 on top of that for deep tissue, I would have said something to the guy! It was supposed to be 50min but he was finished in 40 and rushed the whole time Will never return or recommend

I’ve been going to this salon for awhile and today was the worst experience I’ve had. It was just for a simple bangs trim and eyebrow wax. Check-in was normal, the girls were polite enough at the desk but when you get to the waiting area a casually dressed person will come and loudly ask everyone if they are there for nails or not. I said no I was there for bangs. She did not understand me though I repeated the word, “bangs.” She did not seem to understand what bangs are so in frustration I blurted out “Hair.” She then asked me if I knew who I had. I could not remember his name though he was a few feet away finishing up with another client. I had him the last time I got my bangs trimmed. The lady went to check in to tell me the name of Mario. I ignored her and just looked at my phone. 1 minute and a half later some woman who looked like she had just rolled out of bed came and asked if we had appointments for nails or something else. I said I was there for hair and she asked me if I knew who I had. I replied, “Mario and leave me alone.” She responded, “Tsss,”’ and flounced away.Their aggression honestly scared me a little. They were not responding to the fact I did not particularly care who did my bangs though Mario always does a good job. They don’t respond to facial expression or mannerisms of the clients but will ask really basic questions over and over. Just not the best day at Red Door and if that’s where it’s headed then that’s not good.

I ran a few mins late, got an awful massage (technician skipped several areas and rushed through the end, at least she could have shorten other areas instead skipping most of them)......I’m very disappointed that I couldn’t get a few additional mins, especially since I signed up for multiple services. Hence my 50 mins massage was barely 30 mins. However, other costumers were allotted that opportunity, I guess my money isn’t good enough for this location. Not sure what the requirement is for fair treatment, but clearly I didn’t make the cut. I wouldn’t come here again. Overall very disappointed in my service but I got a discount on my massage.

Grady King is the best colorist around. Beautiful and so natural! We are celebrating 17 years of glorious color together! Hanna did an exceptional job as an esthetician. My eyebrows have never looked better. Have always had a great experience at the salon.

Came in on my lunch break for an Essential Manicure with Quinn. Efficient yet relaxing, nails look amazing!UPDATE: Can also recommend May for manicures, Tami for eyebrow shaping/waxing, Liya and Sharon for blowouts and Isabelle for eyelash extensions. Obviously I spend way too much money here ha

Ive been at Red Door Salons around the world, and this one is most definitely the best one. But then, maybe its because I live here and have taken the time to find the best clinicians...Young Sook is the very best manicurist youll ever come across, she is a personal perfectionist. Thao does an incredible job with facials and waxing, and Keith is very talented with hair. There are many more clinicians that are excellent as well - Lynn and Sophana have been there forever, and also are excellent manicurists. I cant believe Im sharing my secrets - Ill be really annoyed if I cant get an appointment with them anymore after this post - but they are all gifted and deserve to be given recognition.

Got a great facial here, my skin looked and felt replenished afterwards. My only complaint was that throughout the service my facialist was trying to upsell me. I ended up adding on a collagen mask for an extra $55 but still felt like i had to tell her no thanks! multiple times which made it a much less relaxing experience.

My husband and I had a couples massage and it was so wonderful. It was our first massage and it exceeded our expectations. From the robes, cucumber water, to the actual massage, it was delightful. I had Portia and will be requesting her again! We will be back.

I would highly recommend Fran for color and styles and Lien for nails. They are both very talented! Ive been going to them for years and have sent friends to them as well. They are wonderful!

I went here for a 30 minute massage, or advertised as 30 minute priced at 70 USD, for stiff shoulders and neck. But the massage given was 20 minutes as they say 10 minutes are for you to get ready. What a laugh. They dont tell you it is actually 20 minutes and I have never heard this before and sorry but you cannot charge me for getting ready. And the massage was pretty bad as well.

Not nearly as good as the other locations. I went in with 3 coworkers and we all got facials and mani/pedis- so we spent a lot of money. My racialist was rudecand just trying to sell me products the entire time- convinced me to get a microdermabrasion facial (even after I t said my skin is very sensitive) and my face was red and chapped for a week. It hasn’t even been 2 weeks and my nails are coming off. I could have gotten this kind of quality from a much cheaper salon. Will definitely not go back to this location.

Everyone was very welcoming and professional! I felt like Iwas in another world! Sharon was wonderful! She transformed my hair from blah to wow! Very knowledgeable and very concerned about the health of your hair! I would highly recommend going to this Rws Door and see Sharon!!!!!

I cannot believe that this would ever be touted as a best of Washington spa. My experience was absolutely awful, and I frequent some premiere salons on the East Coast. I needed a last minute special occasion updo and was able to find an appointment at the Red Door in Friendship Heights. Im 27 years old, and wanted something fun for a New Years Eve ball. The stylist I was placed with should not be allowed to have the title. Her curling iron used was older than I am. She hair sprayed my hair like she was using Aqua Net in the 50s. I wouldve been better off doing my own updo than spending over $100 on this. I told her it looked like a birds nest, and she let me leave that way. Fortunately, another stylist offered to fix it, but it was beyond fixing at that point. Beyond the poor caliber of stylists, the salon was filthy. There was chunks of cut hair all over the floors. The tools used were not the caliber that should be used at a Red Door salon. I would not recommend this salon to ANYONE. Elizabeth Arden would roll over in her grave if she knew a place like this existed with her name on it.

I made an appointment for my step mother and I. The next day, my stepmother went to the hospital. I called the location and asked if I could change days, the young lady informed me that I can just cancel since I didnt have an idea of what day I wanted to change the spa too. The next day, the location called me and told me I didnt call to cancel and accused me of lying. I was appauled. I thought the call wasnt real. Surely, you wouldnt talk to a PAYING customer that way, but they did. In addition to that, the location over charge my card for a service I never received and what I cancelled.I wrote to corporate. They called me and stated they would give me a gift card for the amount I was charged for. Two weeks later, I have not received the card nor refund. I was the mismanagement of one location, but the company has showed lack of leadership and professionalism.

My partner and I had gotten a 50 minute massage as a wedding gift. Unfortunately the experience turnout not so good for my partner. He paid extra to upgrade from a Swedish massage to a deep tissue but thought the massage was average at best and definitely less than the full 50 minutes. The worse part was that his phone and cash from his wallet was stolen from the mens locker room, where he had locked it. We arent sure how or who broke into the locker. The disappointing thing is that after reporting the theft that night no one from the Spa has called to discuss the situation or offer any sort of compensation. I would expect better from Elizebeth Arden Red Door Spa--especially at the premium price they charge.

Cyrille is the best hair stylist. I needed a new look and Cyrille immediately knew what I needed to look young, fresh, and modern. He completely transformed my look with his haircut. Definitely recommending Cyrille to my ALL my friends.

I had the Signature facial and microdermabrasion with Homania. I had a fabulous experience. She is very knowledgeable about skincare, is very gentle, friendly and created a relaxing environment. I will definitely return soon. She is amazing.

I am a long time customer for manicures with Young. I am very apprehensive about salons that use the same tools between customers. This salon sterilizes the equipment between use. Young is a perfectionist in shaping the nails and getting rid of any overhanging cuticle. The polish she chooses is perfect for me- natural shade and lasts about 2 weeks.

I have always relied on local Elizabeth Ardens Red Door salons since the 1970s. Last week, I chose to go to the Chevy Chase, Md. location (far from me in Reston, Va.) so that I could afterward, enjoy lunch with a old friend who lived near it. Well, this is Washington DC traffic and there was a tremendous tie-up on the Beltway. I phoned them and learned that yes, the appointments for my facial and massage could be done a little later. Still, I arrived--really frazzled--and promising myself that it was finally time to Move (I am retired, after all :) Only a few seconds with the esthetician, Silva Lalayan, and I forgot all my stress and even began considering making the journey again and again just to have her talented facial!

The front desk staff were welcoming and made checking in/out easy. Sam was fantastic! She did my shampoo, deep conditioner and made me super comfortable while waiting for Sharon. Sam made certain that I had water and made me a special hot chocolate. Her infectious spirit, professionalism, and quality customer service is refreshing and appreciated. Sharon was outstanding. On top of her amazing work as a stylist, her lovely personality made me comfortable and enhanced my experience. Sharon is the consummate professional.

The masseuse was excellent. I got a full body massage, then a manicure and pedicure. But i was too embarrassed to suggest to change the music. You can pick a more jazzy, salon type of music instead of some loud pop.

The Red Door made a booking error, which the desk clerk admitted to, but instead of making a nice gesture to accommodate, the manager, named Sean was confrontational and rude. On to the next spa! Lots of good ones in the area!

I have been following Cyrille for almost12 years all over dmv area he always managed to update my look and every time I feel like a soccer mum managed to make me feel like a rock star again I hugely recommend him everytime he touch me I feel like I get the best haircut

An excellent spa with wonderful services for when you need a bit of pampering! The staff is welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend Tami for skin care and facials.

My mani pedi done by Lien was perfect and she was very nice. My hairstylist Affie is interesting to chat with, chic, sophisticated and highly skilled.

Nicole was a super friendly nail technician. Michael Sean at the front desk offered really great customer service over the phone, too. I always have a good experience at this location.

This Spa is first class beginning with the telephone and concierge desk. The eyelash tint is one of Washingtons best. I feel younger and look livelier after a facial with Claire or Shanaz. And the mani-pedi is hygenic, efficient, artistic five star ⭐️ spa!

Shirley is the BEST! I wont let anyone else touch my hair. Sooo happy she has returned to Red Door. :)

The nice girl at the front desk was so helpful with my SpaWish gift certificates to get them redeemed. I totally forgot to print them out. Celine (esthetician) was AMAZING. Her calm and knowledgeable demeanor made a world of difference to me during my facial. I was freaking out because my face was going through hormonal changes and it was obvious. Her thoughtful actions showed from the time she greeted to me all the way until the end. She is such a treasure! Not mention that she saved my face and made me look presentable again! Def coming back!

Great services, but in some of the massage rooms you can hear the offices upstairs. Some of the back massage rooms are also noisy due to the proximity to the break room.

I had a facial with Hanna and she did an amazing job! Very detailed oriented and explained the processes step by step.

My deep tissue massage was great.. I havent had in a while such a good massage... The entire service was excellent

They are not honest about their pricies over the phone. Nor did the manager care to fix the problem. Massage was not worth 185$.

At this Red Door, everyone is friendly - the front desk staff and the artists! I like this location because nobody is pretentious.

I spent about $300 and I walked out unhappy with my hair. I went back the next day to get it re-done and there was no change. Very disappointed!
