Ive been here for 3 facials and unfortunately I cant recommend. While the facials themselves are fine and I appreciate that I can be fit in same day, they really do a hard upsell. Trying to force a chemical peel on everyone is not the right answer!Also the last time I went the facialist remarked on me wearing a mask. You know whats really bad for your skin? Constantly catching a virus that messes up your nervous system and blood vessels! Unfortunately Ill be looking for a new place for facials.

Front desk and all staff really are nice but I didn’t find the massage here professional. I had one with Michelle and it felt like a session with a chiropractor and not a massage to relax. I did not ask for this. I kept thinking it will get better, maybe this is just the start but it went on for 60 minutes. Barely any back work. Disappointed.

I love Thai facial lifting with Lymphatic drainage, reflexology and Ayuravedic massage from Kana, feel so refreshing and firmness. I cant take botox anymore because my face rejected it since Ive been taking for years(every 3-6months). Ive to return to natural facial way for Anti-aging and so glad it turn out so great. Id love to rebook this facial massage next time soon. Highly recommend.

I had a great relaxing facial however my massage I probably couldve done without. There was loud Asian sounding music on in the room and asked it to be turned down or off so I could just hear the beach sounds. She turned it down but I guess that meant to her that she needed to talk to fill the void of the music being low. I usually fall asleep during my massages but she talked the entire time which made that impossible. I would come here again but Id have to let the massage therapist know I like quiet (outside of the beach sounds). The staff was very friendly.

I’ve had such wonderful experiences here both for facials and massages. The staff is so friendly and accommodating and the services are fantastic. My massage with Nina was both relaxing and restorative. She really tailored it to my body and the areas I needed to be worked on. This is my go to spot for spa services in DC!

I debated leaving a review because this is a small business but I feel like its necessary given my experience. I booked the cupping massage and there are so many red flags about my experience. Most alarmingly, after confirming with a clinical provider after the fact, the cupping technique used here is inconsistent with safety measures or best practices. I was in extreme distress after this appointment - the approach was so aggressive and nonsensical it made me feel ill for two days after.Additionally, the bruises were not reflective of proper cupping technique. I am an active, healthy adult with no circulation issues and its been well over a week and many of my marks have yet to clear up. Many of them persist with broken capillaries and lingering soreness. Additionally, my massage therapist refused to remove some cups that caused extreme pain and then insisted on moving my arm. It was so painful and, unsurprisingly, those are some of the most egregious marks left on my body. It also felt invasive and deeply uncomfortable.Lastly (and given the above, unsurprisingly), I never felt any improvement from this service. I followed all of their guidelines and was left feeling worse than when I walked in for treatment. I did ultimately receive a refund which I am grateful for because the funds will be used to see a PT this week for *actual* relief instead.I cannot speak to the other services offered here, but I would never recommend the cupping to anyone under any circumstances. I went here on the suggestion of a friend. Learn from my mistake and if youre interested in cupping, check out any of the certified, clinical physical therapists in the city with sound experience and technique.

After reading the reviews, I chose TuSuva for my Treat Yo Self day and I can say with certainty that Ill be returning!I called the same day to book an appointment. The masseuse was professional, considerate, and attentive to my requests. I also really appreciated how clean and serene the room and general space felt!I cant wait to return!

I got a deep cleansing facial at Tu Suva about a month ago. I wish I remembered my estheticians name because she was so great. I love that she asked me questions about my skin, my routine, and she let me know everything she was doing and what it did. Most importantly, my skin has been AMAZING since the treatment. She got rid of all the tiny black spots on my nose that I thought were permanent and a month later they are still gone. I also havent had a single break out since. Im so so impressed with the LASTING results of my facial. Its only been one facial and my friends are already commenting on how great my skin looks. I am so eager to return for my peel!!

I am a frequent customer of this Spa and I absolutely love it! Today I had a 90 minute massage with Derrick and I think it’s the best massage I’ve ever had, anywhere in the world. Much needed! Highly recommend!

Tried out TuSuva instead of going to another massage place and I was pleasantly surprised. My facial with Negin was lovely. I wish it was longer but my face felt amazing afterwards. I had a massage with Megan and she will put you to sleep! Overall amazing experience. The only thing I would say is the waiting area can be very noisy and not as calming as I would have liked. But I definitely will be coming back for my techs!

Sports massaged with Derrick was phenomenal! My lower back and hips felt much better after a session with him.

I tried Tusuva for a facial and a deep tissue massage. I had never been, but the reviews I had read were all very positive. My own experience has definitely been excellent. It was a last minute visit - I called in to book the services on the morning of the same day - and they were able to accommodate me nonetheless. My facial was great, complemented by a very relaxing neck and shoulders massage. The deep tissue was excellent, and the masseuse was very careful I asking for and understanding my needs and in applying the right amount of pressure. Definitely recommended.

I’ve had one of the best facials in DC with Ina! Tried so many different salons and aestheticians but no one has done a better job than Ina. I’m very pleased with the quality and how deep she goes with cleansing. My facial skin has cleared and improved so much. Definitely recommend her!

TuSuva is amazing! My boyfriend booked us 90 minute deep tissue couples massages for my birthday last week. The entire experience was perfect. Cold bottled water before and after massage, spa was very clean and relaxing, everyone was so friendly and welcoming, even the bathroom smelled amazing. The deep tissue was incredible and I felt like a brand new woman after. Peaceful music and the sound of waves, dimmed lighting and heated massage tables. Will definitely be back!

My hubby booked me a massage and facial here for my birthday. I had a wonderful facial. While my massage therapist had excellent bedside manner, the massage itself consisted mostly of compression over a sheet which wasnt very relaxing. Thankfully, when I informed the front desk of my experience, they were quick to address the issue. This place has great customer service. I will definitely be back soon.

My husband took me here for my first prenatal massage for Mothers Day. It was an amazing experience!!! My masseuse was Yana who was very welcoming and professional. I felt safe with her and the massage was TOP NOTCH! I told my husband how much I enjoyed my massage and he immediately bought me a package to go every month leading up until I give birth. I’m looking forward to coming back for Yana but she also referred others that are amazing in case she’s not available! This will be my permanent body spa 🖤

Excellent facials and peels! The staff is very friendly and informative about what you need for your skin. The space is a also very clean and they take covid-19 precautions seriously. I always love coming here to take a break from the world and relax. My boyfriend and I visited Tu Suva for a couples massage for Valentine’s Day. The set up and complimentary wine and chocolate was amazing however, the quality of our massages was not worth $250. Not to mention one of our masseuses was late. Upon return home my back was sore to the touch. Today, I have what looks to be burns from the hot stones that were placed on my skin. We were both very disappointed in the quality of the service that we were provided.

Best prenatal massage I ever had! I was pregnant with twins at that time and was in constant pain. My therapist Nina, was very careful, attentive, applied just perfect amount of pressure and even caught my preeclampsia way before doctors did.My husband had deep tissue massage there as well, and it was the best!Very nice space, clean and relaxing, very pleasant staff and absolutely amazing and friendly owner! We will definitely be back!

I was a little disappointed with my facial experience with Christine. I had booked the longer session, and she did not make it last that long. At one point, while she was out of the room, the steam machine suddenly let out a very shrill alarm sound for 5 minutes, completely disrupting my calm moment. I also requested lavender for the aromatherapy and she used eucalyptus. I think she must have been really distracted. If I go back, am going to try to get another person there.

An extra star only for the friendliness of the owner and staff. I went last week for a sports massage because I had some sever back and neck soreness. The masseuse was not interested at all in knowing what was going on in my body and actually caused more damage. I’ve Noh been able to stand up straight for five days now. I think the main thing someone should know going in is that they are masseuse’s…not massage therapists despite the price. Also the interior aesthetic is very bland and awkward.

Super happy with my massage today. We did a couples massage and it was fabulous, complimentary hot stones felt amazing!The massage therapist had their work cut out for them as we are both pretty athletic.We will definitely be returning as they did such an amazing job!

Christine is the best! She is very welcoming and knowledgeable. She’s been in the business for years and it shows. I was having crazy breakouts on my face and after only after two deep cleansing facials, my skin is smooth and the texture has completely changed. She recommends products that help your skin and she cares about what works instead of just selling to sell. I’ll be back very soon. So excited to have clear skin :)

This is the second year my husband and I have taken advantage of the Valentines Day couples massage and it’s always an amazing experience. Champagne and chocolate when you come in, and Jake and Penny did a wonderful job with our massages. Will definitely be back!!

I had an amazing experience at Tusuva even during pandemic. I feel safe and comfortable getting a massage there. I got Hot stone massage with Kana. She was talented, experienced incredibly knowledgeable, customized by using all techniques to fix my shoulders. At first I thought Hot stone massage is about rubbing the skin with hot stones but you can ask for getting more pressure on your neck and shoulders or your problem area. It is more relaxing than Deep tissue massage. I feel like I got new body within 90 minutes. It’s hard to explain, you MUST try!

I’ve been going to TuSuva consistently for a couple of months now. I really enjoy my visit every time I go, because the services are just that good. Kana is the masseuse I’ve seen the most, she’s the best! She’s so attentive, knowledgeable and just has a great personality. I’ve also gotten a facial from Christine, she is also very knowledgeable and really educated me on skin types, products, etc. I’ll be seeing her again, too! Got me a facial for the first time it was the best experience I ever had. For me it was everything I imagined it would be like but better. Not sure who did my facial but she was very sweet and helpful she gave me a lot of insight into what I need for my skin I’m been using products I don’t need. I had an incredible experience with lasting results! I came here last week of May for a facial with Ine. From the time I arrived until the end of my appointment, the staff was friendly and attentive. Ine, in particular, was super thorough and pretty much took care of all the acne and rough spots on my skin. She is very professional and made me feel really comfortable. She provides bespoke facials, skin consolidations, and will follow-up with you to ensure you are on the right track to clear skin.

Booked last minute for 90 minutes Hot stone massage with Kana. She healed my stiff neck, frozen shoulder pain and tight hips. I tried steroid and cortisone shot it doesnt help in long term. I finally made progress with Therapeutic massage. Ive been her clients since 2017 and helps me with all kinds of pain problems. I can feel more range of motion after my session. And pain was gone within three days after my first visit. I was healed totally. Its incredible relaxing, pain free, great service, clean and very accomodating staffs. Will be back for sure.

I had a 60 minute massage with Penny and she was AMAZING! The lady at the front desk was also very kind and helpful :) Very clean and relaxing! Loved it! Parking can be a little tricky, but just give yourself a few extra minutes to find parking. Definitely recommend!!

My daughter booked me a massage and facial for my birthday and the staff was absolutely amazing! I cant remember the name of the girl who did my oxygen facial but she was very knowledgeable. Karina did my massage and released almost all the knots in my shoulders. The complimentary hot stones on the back was a nice touch.

About 2-3 weeks I went on vacation to D.C and the second to last day of my stay I decided t look for a spa. I’m a hairstylist and my neck and shoulders can become really tense. It became so bad to where I would lay down and feel pressure. I found this place and received an amazing salon, being that it was my first massage they did take it easy. The pain is gone and I feel no sort of pressure anymore. I cant remember my masseuse name, but she was gentle and made sure I was comfortable. Excellent service!

I have been coming to TuSuva for the natural facial and microdermabrasion with Christine for a few years now. I have seen impressive results and my skin has never looked cleaner or healthier since I started coming more regularly. After this recent election week and stressful work week, I finally made an appointment (facial, microderm, and massage) and absolutely wish I had done it sooner. I felt very safe - I didnt see any other clients, everyone was wearing N95 masks and face shields, touchless temp checks, gloves, and the window was open while I was in the treatment room. Even though I wasnt able to see Christine this time around, Nina was just as amazing, professional, skilled, and attentive - and I felt like I got some pep in my step again, not to mention my skin feels brand new again.I recognize that it must be incredibly difficult to manage a small business, especially a spa, under the current circumstances. I just wanted to say how safe and comfortable I felt and that I always highly recommend booking an appointment at TuSuva - completely worth it.

I’ve lived in the area 10 years and can’t believe I’d never been before.- Location: not impressive from outside but the place is spacious and clean- Setup: the massage table was comfortably heated and the music was relaxing (and not obnoxious)- Massage: amazing. I love TuSuva and have always had a great experience there regardless of who has served me, but Kaitlin in my experience has the best esthetician at TuSuva. She helped transform my skin after it had gotten extremely dry, and had a range of great recommendations on which products to use as well as supplements to try. I would 100% recommend Kaitlin to my friends.

What a great spa find. I needed a facial and found Tusuva on google. The spa has a relaxing atmosphere. Everyone is friendly. The facial itself was amazing. I had Christine. She was very knowledgeable about facial stuff. If you can tell, this was my first facial. I do not know the lingo. Anyways, go to Tusuva if you want a great facial. I will definitely go back for a facial and maybe even try a massage. A hot stone massage sounds good right now in this cold weather.

Had a great couples massage that included complimentary hot stones and hot towels. It was an amazing experience! We loved everything about Tusuva. Price was great, sweet receptionist, the spa was very clean and warm. We bought a package of massages. It actually is a pretty good deal for DC. If you buy a package of 6 massages you get 15% off, which is $85 a massage. That is a pretty good deal for Washington DC. They even allow you to share with that special someone.My hubby Michael can’t wait to try the gentlemens facial. Now that is saying a lot. He is not a facial guy but willing to take the plunge. I think I might try the Vitamin C Hydrating facial. I think another spa date is in the works.

I have been getting facial services from Negin for 8 years at the old NUSTA SPA facility. I was very happy to find her at Tusuva Spa. I recently had a Micro Peel facial and a back facial. She always brings out the best in my complexion and I look ten years younger because of her efforts. I have been a long time Tusuva patron. I lived in admo for many years and luckily stumbled on them- not only was it conveniently located but it has top notch customer service and relaxing massages and the best facials in dc, hands down. I now live in SE dc and still make the trek because I love it so much. A few words about kaitlin the esthetician. I would go see her every month if I could. She is knowledgeable about skin, very thorough in her facials and you feel completely rejuvenated after seeing her. I wouldn’t go to anyone else, adore her. Going to get my first chemical peel from her in new year.

Absolutely amazing experience. Jacob did an amazing job with my massage and Negin was amazing as well. The receptionist was supper sweet and communicated very well. Honestly if i live closer i would be there all the time.

Kaitlin is fantastic. She now only works one week a month so make sure to get her schedule ahead of time. The salon is on the pricier side but it’s worth every penny for the quality service and the welcoming staff.

I did a microdermabrasion with Christine and signature massage with Regina. The experience exceeded my expectations as well as the difference in my face and body!

We had an hour couples massage. Julia and April were great. The atmosphere was relaxing. They offered a 10% discount for cash payment, but Id like an additional discount for purchasing more than one service, especially with the reservation on my credit card.

The chemical peel was fine but there was a lack of communication afterwards. She was very slow in emailing me next steps while my face was peeling then she recommended products that I wanted to purchase but she never got back to me so I had to find another avenue. She took time to whatsapp me a lengthy message about how she works 12hrs and i have to be patient etc when honestly she could have used that time to email me back. When she finally emailed me back, she was not pleased that I purchased the products from someone else instead of her. She asked me who I got the products from and I never heard from her ever since not even to know if my skin was done peeling knowing it was my 1st one ever.

I had the pleasure of having a facial with Negin. it was one of the Best Microdermabrasion facial i’ve ever had in DC area. my skin was so soft and glowing after. I highly recommend Negin. she is very professional.

I called about having a particular face wash shipped to my home because it is only sold at retail locations. Yana was so kind and realized I lived close to her so she ended up dropping it off at my apartment complex on her way home and left me a bag filled with samples and a discount card. Though everything felt good at the time- I came home with 2nd degree burns from the hot stones. They did not put a towel or sheet between the skin and stones. I am covered in purple welt and peeling skin. Would not recommend.

Sends people home early and does not follow business hours. When I tried to rebook during business hours and gave a 30 minute cancellation- they charged my card. So, they had charged people to cancel the day before- but sent them home and closed early. Nefarious business practices.
