First visit and not my last!!! Bella and Ashley were fabulous. New short hair cut and new set of pink and white acrylic fingernails. Feel like a new woman!!

IF I COULD GIVE NO STARTS I WOULD !!!!10/10 DONT recommend this place at all! So many issues I had here I spent all day trying to get my nails my feet hair and eye brows done and I left with hair I didn’t ask for and very unhappy with ! I stopped them from doing my manicure because she didn’t know how to work with real nails and had me in a pedicure chair doing my nails holding my arm up even when my pedi was done ! The girl doing my feet was on the phone the whole time and when she was done I looked at my feet and my nails was crooked, skin still peeling off my feet and white polish on my toes !!! The water was cold had to ask her to warm it up! The hot rags were cold cus she waited to long to put them on my feet after taking them out the warmer and even after I tried to calmly and collectively tell the manager they STILL TRIED TO CHARGE ME FOR EVERYTHING! I ended up only paying for my hair that I took out as soon as I got home cus the back was so loose ? I’m honestly so frustrated I spent a whole day here for nothing! TRY MAGIC NAILS! They fixed me up in no time !

I called to make my 14 yr old appointment for a curly hair cut they washed her hair and did a blow out and didnt cut much off. I never ask for blow out n I specifically said on the call that she doesnt blow dry her hair we dont need that.

Dominican salon. A lady from Honduras did a wonderful job removing old acrylic, taking time not to damage natural nail. Her technique was different from the Asian ladies that normally do my nails. I want to give my nails a break and stay natural. I will definitely return and check out other services.

My lashes fell off in a week although she had customer service skills and was kind. On the other hand I paid full price for a sew in with Bella. FAKE alert. My tracks would fall out twice a week whenever I took a brush to it. She tried to say it was the brush, it was the quality of my hair. She even commented oh wow if I did my sew ins like this I would be out a business She purposely didnt sew in my hair 5grew the tracks no tie offs. I guess if you arent Dominican you arent welcome to their salon. Funny thing Im from Miami speak better Spanish than they do. They kept saying oh shes too smart. She wants too much work done. I asked for a service all salons provide and paid the $200+ price for it. How lazy and unprofessional can you be plus they take forever 3 to 4 hours to do EVERYTHING! Waisted time and money. Never again!

I have been going to Act 1 Salon for over 4 years now and my daughters, Granddaughters and friends go as well Some of my family drives over 2 hours one way to get their hair done at Act 1 We will never change Salons because they treat us like family and they do such a beautiful job on our hair. We love all the staff. Thanks Act 1 ❤️

I take my daughter to Act 1 Salon and they are fantastic with her! She loves Ms Bella! And they are even helping me learn what products work well with her hair! I definitely recommend this salon!

DO NOT GO HERE ! Don’t go here if you don’t speak Spanish. I have gone here 3 times hoping for a better outcome each time. During my last visit they made me feel invisible. They don’t acknowledge you or engage with you. I would tell myself maybe it’s the language barrier and that’s why I’m being disregarded but, there is no excuse for poor service. They knew how to communicate in English when it came time to pay .The prices alone are reason enough to go elsewhere. There is nothing “Premier” about this salon.

My first time ever going there, and honestly they made me feel like I’ve been coming for years. The shop is beautiful. Everyone was extremely sweet. I was extremely nervous to dye my hair, but they were extremely patient. And always made sure that I was satisfied with everything! Highly recommend them if you need anything done!

My rating? If I could give a lower score than zero, I would. The customer service skills here are an absolute disaster. My sister went through a nightmare at this salon. She had to practically beg for attention, constantly getting up to remind them she existed. She watched as they happily attended to others, leaving her frustrated and stuck in that chair for a torturous 5 hours. She had an important event to attend, which was the only reason she endured the ordeal. To add insult to injury, they attempted to overcharge her a whopping $125! The audacity. And the result? Her hair looked nothing like what she wanted. This place is a masterclass in terrible service and subpar skills. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this disaster of a salon. Your hair and sanity deserve better.

I can’t speak highly enough about Act 1 Salon and Spa (the old location and now the new location). I have been getting my hair cut from here for about 7 years. Soribel and her staff are the best and the definition of perfection when it comes to the services they offer. I always get compliments on my hair as a result of Soribel’s talent! My experience is always fantastic and I have always received personal, friendly, professional, and expert service every time. I love love the ACT 1 SALON & SPA in its new location and it is definitely “A Premier Place! I highly recommend this salon and the many services they provide. You won’t be disappointed.

I made an appointment to reinstall my tape in extensions. I told the receptionist 3 times that they are TAPE IN and she said she understood and there was no issue. I arrived for my appointment and the girl told me they thought I said clip in extensions and that I needed to bring my own tape for tape ins... NO ONE mentioned to me that I needed to bring my own tape. They suggested that I go to Sallys and get tape and then come back. I just left. Awful experience.

I have been getting my hair done here for a number of years. Coloring, haircut, roller set or blown out straight. Sori and Evey and Soris mom are amazing. I moved an hour away hoping to find a salon to manage my hair needs, but I havent found anyone nearly as skilled as these ladies. I will be returning to their shop because the service is worth traveling for. I have missed you ladies but Ill see you soon.

I had relaxing and professional 60 minute massage with Marcela. She was attentive about everything including the pressure, music volume, and hot stone temperature. She asked me to fill out a short 3 question questionnaire to begin with and even provided water for after the massage. I highly recommend this salon for massage.

I found this salon by driving around in Winchester 10 years ago and have been going there when ever I’m in town. I travel a lot from West Virginia and Pennsylvania and will only go here to get my hair done. I have natural hair that was broken off when I started here but they have made my hair grow by to shoulder length. I love these ladies they are the best. See you all soon!!

I searched high and low for a braider in this area. I found a few but none like the lady that braids my daughters hair now. Every other place weve been to she would cry bc it was too tight. But this lady was patient and knew exactly how to deal with her.

We needed haircuts for my 2 daughters. The price was higher than quoted by phone. Then I found out to blow dry it would be an additional $20!! That would’ve been $50 for a simple 1 inch cut for my 10 year old!Save your time & money! That was a one and done salon for us:/

I have been a regular at this salon for 5 almost 6 years now. I come in every other week and get a blow out and waxing sometimes I come in every week. My son gets pedicures while I get blow outs. Although Ive spent a lot of money and time here, I feel disrespected. On 9/21 I signed a receipt for 70 dollar. On 9/23 Act One Salon authorized 102. They increased my tip amount by 32 dollars. I was able to catch this by checking with my bank and asking them how did this happen. This is not professional. I was also told by the owner that this is done often if she or any one else feels like they forgot to charge for something. I advised her she shouldnt be doing that, its wrong, but she insisted she does this often. She agreed she should not have done that but still the issue was not resolved in a satisfactory way and I did not receive a refund of the additional amount that I did not authorize. My bank is now disputing the unauthorized transaction. I feel disrespected and dissapointed after over 5 years of loyalty to this salon. KEEP YOUR RECIEPTS AND CHECK YOUR BANK STATMENTS TO MAKE SURE THE AMOUNT YOU SINGED FOR ISNT BEING INCREASED!!

Had my hair blown out it was really nice. Two days later it got tangled really bad. I washed it, and realized that my curls were gone, my hair was coming out in patches. Two weeks later my hair still smells like a burnt curling iron and a perm. I have natural hair, and do not put chemicals in my hair. I am Really disappointed. I have had many blowouts over the years, never had an issue until now.

I went to this salon on the recommendation of my mother and I’m glad I did. I went for a natural up do. I have curly hair (type 3B and 3C) and have been natural for over 10 years now. It’s hard to find salons that cater to my hair type in the NoVa area and I was willing to travel to another county for the right salon. Even if I know a salon caters to those of us with natural hair and curly/coily textures I’m often nervous due to previous bad experiences. I was attended to by the owner of the salon, a fellow curly haired individual and that put me at ease. She was very kind and professional, taking the time to explain her methodology and listen to what I wanted. The hairstyle I got was a braided hairstyle on the top (one cornrow with twists on the side) and then she added some curly extensions for a nice , long side ponytail. She also laid my edges. The hair ended up looking gorgeous and I received many compliments (I got it styled for a wedding I was attending). There was also another stylist there who is well versed in caring for curly and coily hair types. I plan on going back to get a trim and a hot oil treatment. I highly recommend this place to any curly/coily haired individuals out there. They really know what they’re doing and they use the right products.

Went here for the first time. Called ahead to see what the wait time was. I Spoke to a Barber who couldve easily told me no persons were currently waiting but instead instructed me to download an app to make an appointment. At the end of my transaction it became clear why he made me book through the app to collect my $5 appt fee. This is not listed in the description of this app nor did he mention it over the phone as a courtesy. Needless to say Ive never paid $30 for a haircut and felt a bit misled.

The service was good, the detail is that at the beginning they tell you a price and at the end they charge you another not because they make more or put more chemicals but because they feel like it... very bad... the cut of tips is for $15 and they charged me double, I went with my friend for the first time and what a shame...
