I had a wonderful experience at Salon and Spa Vanessa! I attempted to cut my own curtain bangs and naturally, it didn’t work out so I needed a fix. Grace was absolutely amazing and was super patient with my hair and with whatever questions and preferences I had regarding the upkeep of my hair. Vanessa spoke to me at the beginning and end of my appointment and she was so kind. My hair looks beautiful! I’d absolutely recommend this salon.

Ive been coming here for about five years for various services. The building is just so beautiful and the people are so kind. Jessica does my brows and its the first time Ive been truly happy with my brows and become a repeat customer of any brow artist. She creates a very relaxing and welcoming environment, and the brows are just my style. Ive never had to ask her to change a thing! I recommend this salon and spa highly!

Absolutely love everything about Salon and Spa Venessa! It’s always a 5⭐️experience. The 5 star experience starts when you walk in the door, and you are greeted by the friendly front desk. I’ve had several fabulous spa services over the years, and Venessa has been cutting and highlighting my hair for 36 years. My hair appointments are always one of my favorite days! Tip….Book your appointments, because the stylists are always booked!

I had the best experience yesterday with Lizzy as my hairstylist! The atmosphere is so welcoming as was the service. Lizzy did a fantastic job with cutting my hair into the perfect bob. I highly recommend the shine treatment during the shampoo because it has made my hair so smooth, soft, and shiny. Lizzy was very knowledgeable about products to help with my hair type. I highly recommend this salon in downtown Woodstock!

Mariah was a great massage therapist. She was professional and caring! When I’m visiting Woodstock I will definitely go back to her. The front desk was also very welcoming, which is something I look for in any business.

Just recently had my hair cut and styled by Della! She was fantastic at her work and such a sweet person! For someone that hasnt had their hair professionally done in a few years, Im extremely satisfied with my hair and will definitely be coming back :)

I have been going to the salon on and off for me and hoping to get my mom who is 82 a good place for her haircut. Every time we find someone we like they leave and have to start again with a new stylist. A lot of overturn on personnel. I was able to take my mom for her haircut. And left extremely dissatisfied . Maybe the stylist was new but was not friendly and not too professional like she was in a hurry to leave. We honestly could have gone to Great Clips and get a better haircut specially for the price. Not coming back. This place is going down as what used to be 10 years ago. Sad

DD was awesome and easy to speak with. My first hair cut in several years, she was efficient and I’m very happy with the results.After the hair washing, her first question was asking if I have ever had a bad hair cut. I was impressed with how such a simple question could be so impactful and provide guidance on what not to do with each individual client. Ex: When I was telling her my “horror” story, I realized I never specified that I really dislike blunt cut layers, and preferred them to be blended.I hope she continues to use this question with new clients. It’s pure gold.

Go get the Hot Stone Massage now with Janet !!! Ive had several over the years, and this was by far the most thorough and relaxing one. I love that it included a face and scalp massage.Janet is magic! Be prepared to feel like jelly when you leave.

I have been using the same hairdresser for 35+ years and was frankly afraid of trying someone new. I was desperate for cut/color and couldnt wait for the next appointment. I pass Venessa on my way to work every day, and have always loved Aveda products, so I went to their website to see if they had any openings. One person, Sarah, had a cancellation and I slipped in - one persons loss is anothers gain! From the moment I walked in I felt welcome and waited less than five minutes. Sarah listened to a short hair history, I showed her a pic of my usual cut and magic. Boom! Sarah is great, precise, and gives you her full attention. I had a phenomenal experience and will definitely be back.

Love this spa! I’ve had three services here so far and they have all been excellent. Massage with Mariah and two facials with Kelsey. All wonderful ✨ I can’t wait to go back! The customer service is top-notch and I love the Aveda products.

Amy does my eyebrows & Eyelashes to perfection. I have blonde/see-through eyelashes and eyebrows. She did my microblading to give me a good base and I go in for eyebrows shaping & dying in between. I also get my eyelashes dyed black, so I’m not a slave to my mascara. It also helps me to look not sleepy or sickly by having color around my eyes that I don’t have to maintain daily. The first time I went here, I had such a good experience with Jerni! I wanted to get my hair dyed a red/auburn color for fall, and he did exactly what I wanted. He took his time, made me feel like he was super invested in what he was doing. I wasnt just another appointment, another client. About 6 months later, I decided to go back to lighten my hair a little bit for the summer. Im not going to name the stylist I got but I had a really bad experience with her and I was disappointed 😕 initially, I scheduled a full color/cut appointment. When I got there and showed her what I wanted, she said she didnt have time to do it that day, and that she could only do partial or a balayage, so i said that was okay. Id driven about an hour there and it was my only day off from work that week, so i decided to just get something done while i was there. She was super rushed the whole time. The color came out okay, it was brassier than I wanted and she only did it to the top of my head so it looked weird. She said Id have to come back to finish the rest, after Id already paid $250 for this service. The haircut that she gave me was atrocious. I have curly hair and I told her I only wanted about an inch off, and that my curly would draw up and be shorter once it was dry. Id just had a trim about 6 weeks before that so a big cut wasnt necessary. She ended up cutting off alot more than I wanted, and the layers look awful. The top of my head is short and the bottom underneath is long. It looks like a mullet. She didnt style my hair. She said she didnt have time and that it would have to air dry so I told her that was fine. I was trying to be compassionate. If she was over scheduled for appointments, Im sure thats not necessarily her fault. I was there for about 4 hours and $250 later, I was very disappointed. I dont typically spend money on my hair except maybe twice a year at the most so this was tough for me. I dont know that much about hair, so again, I was trying to be compassionate about her not having time, but I did schedule a full cut and color appointment and it shouldve been treated as such. Nothing worse than going to get your hair done and your stylist feeling rushed and behind the whole time. I will be going to another salon to get it fixed.

Salon Venéssa is a wonderful place. Everyone is friendly, and it’s a nice, relaxing environment. It smells like Aveda products, which I love. Jerny is very talented, and I love my haircut. He explained everything very well and made sure I knew how to achieve the same style at home.

Nikki is amazing! Not only an amazing hairdresser who exceeds all my desires, but just an incredibly kind human in every sense of the word. I’m a minimalist when it comes to my hair these days (wanting to go gray naturally and I don’t want to color my hair), but she balances that while still keeping the style young and current and makes me feel beautiful. She is always upbeat and positive and not at all negative or gossipy. She’s a beautiful, refreshing soul and makes me look forward to my hair visits

I have been there twice already and scheduled for my third in couple months gap and both times my facial therapist was Amy, she has really soft hands. She spent alot of time on my acne as I have severe acne problem and super dry skin. She cleaned and popped my pimples, did high frequency treatment over my acne exactly what I needed to get rid of them. She took her time with the massage she provided me with especially the neck one, It was amazing so relaxing then she massaged my arms, my hands and fingers were feeling so blessed. I had a ninety minutes facial. They always start of with a foot scrub so basically you getting your feet massage, arms, neck, shoulder and head massage with an amazing facial that would leave your skin soft and glow for $120 it was worth it.

Jessica did a wonderful job with my facial and advice on products that would work best with my skin. . I had a hair wash & blow out after. The stylist was a sweetheart. My only complaint is I don’t feel a proper hair wash was done after .my hair is still heavy with the oils etc used during my facial. I have had blow outs before after a facial and this has not been an issue until now.

Journey is very personable and gives off a great vibe! He talks you through his thoughts on what would be best for your hair.

Jerny, is a gifted stylist. He takes great care in speaking with his clients and truly listens to their needs and desires for their hair. A true professional. He is also so very kind and always has a smile on his face. He makes you feel at home.

Having a hormonal and somewhat indecisive preteen can be a challenge when it comes to wanting a new hair style not to mention my daughter has a ridiculous yet beautiful amount of hair. Della listened and made suggestions and my daughter is over the moon happy with her new hair!!! Pretty sure she took multiple selfies on the ride home lol! Makes this Mama happy to see her daughter happy and confident. Thank you again Della!

I was nervous to change hairstylists after mine moved away, but Debi was amazing. She took time to listen to what I wanted. I love the cut, and for the first time ever, my highlights and lowlights are 100% EXACTLY what I wanted. My hair color has dimension but it looks completely natural. Ive also seen Amy several times for eyebrow tinting and shaping, and she is equally amazing. She listens and my brows look exactly as I had hoped. First time at this Salon which is located in a beautiful historic home in downtown Woodstock. Salon and Spa Vanessa is stunning, and the ambience is both welcoming and relaxing. Everyone is so nice. This place was wonderful. Everyone was so very nice and made me feel right at home. My service was Reflexology and the masseuse was absolutely fabulous. Can’t wait to have more services done in the near future.

Massage was excellent and always a highlight each month. Janet does an amazing job working through all my bodys knots, aches and pains. All aspects of the salon are excellent as well, including unsurpassed customer service!

Facial was great. Massage not so much. Felt like a rag doll being violently shaken.

As a guy used to barber shops I was hesitant to try Salon and Spa Venessa, but the entire staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Jerny, who cut my hair, listened to my initial style and offered a modern take on it. I’ve received many compliments and can’t wait to return. Free parking in downtown Woodstock is convenient and the haircut price matches those of less quality barber shops in the area. I highly recommend trying this spot if you haven’t!

I am a longtime client here and love their services and the wonderful feeling I have each time I walk in!I no longer live in the area of the salon but I drive 82 miles back to see them for my hair appointments! They are simply the best!

Still beaming from experience! I booked a hot stone massage last minute. I have an autoimmune disorder and was having a flair up. Usually a hot stone massage does wonders, but I haven’t been to a local spa and choose Spa Vanessa on recommendation. I’m pretty shy, and get nervous before any spa treatments. The moment my husband, and I walked in we were greeted by a friendly hostess, and shown the various services. She then took me to get prepared for my massage. Mariah was my masseuse and she had inviting, and such a calming presence. I felt relaxed, and assured instantly. I loved my experience so much, and walked out of the spa so happy and relaxed! I told my husband “its the first time I felt like my self all week” due to the discomfort from my flair-up, which the discomfort has since been controlled and I think largely due to the massage. My husband who was just dropping me off, asked if they had an opening for a haircut, and they fit him in. He mentioned how professional and knowledgeable Sarah was. She mentioned helpful tips which he was never told regarding his hair. He looked great, and said he would be back for future services. I will also be back, and we are glad to have found a spa home! The prices and service are definitely worth it.

LOVE THIS PLACE! Denise has been my stylist for, what 12, 13 years, maybe more. She is AWESOME! The whole entire atmosphere is so Calming which is what made me keep coming back, year after year (although her cut and color gets me so many compliments) EVERY staff member, EVERY staff member has been WONDERFUL!

Amy is awesome but the new requirements of covering the treatment bed with a black rubber sheet feels cheap and cold and clinical. I have been a customer for 10+ years and always enjoyed the classy comfort and homey feel of the treatment rooms. I liked that Venessa’s was not cold, cheap and clinical feeling

There is a reason that my entire family uses Salon and Spa Venessa. Because they are simply the BEST day spa anywhere! The staff is amazing and we’ve only had excellent experiences there. Many of the staff have been for for many years and they truly know how to provide care. Literally we just give each other gift cards because it is something we all love. You will NOT be disappointed!

Melissa is nothing short of a miracle worker. I came to see her with a botched haircut (heavy layers, over texturizing of thick hair, etc.) and I walked out with a healthy, adorable haircut.She was great at listening and took it step by step while also being honest with me. I am so glad I found her and will be back for sure!

Melissa was my hairstylist and she did exactly what I wanted her to do with cutting layers in my hair. I have been looking for a excellent hairstylist to cut my hair for over 20 years and she is the real deal! I have had other hairstylist, cut my hair over the years, but none of them ever seem to be consistent or able to do the celebrity layering with my hair as Melissa has done for me. I highly recommend her she’s super professional and extremely enthusiastic!

I came here for the first time for my appointment with Jerny, and I felt like I was coming in to hang out with my long lost best friend. I had an idea of what I wanted for my hair - he heard what I was saying, but instead of giving me what I thought I wanted, he went above and beyond and gave me something so much better. He also discovered that my hair was capable of curls, so he took the time to teach me how to actually style my hair appropriately. I left looking and feeling amazing. Thank you, Jerny!

I came in for highlights and a haircut with Mary. She did 2 colors this time adding a new golden color with my usual blonde and it came out just AWESOME! I’ve been growing my short, layered hairstyle out since COVID and this was just what I needed. I left the salon feeling refreshed and had to go right to a school Open House and meeting. I got so many compliments from people there- even some I had never met. It was unbelievable… so much so that I had to tell Mary and thank her again. She is an awesome stylist. She asks questions, listens to you and makes suggestions. Blessed to have had her styling my hair for 23 years 😊

Amy was awesome and I love my brows! She is very precise with the placement of each stroke, and has a great eye for creating the perfect brow for your face. She is wonderful to work with, and I will return to her over and over!!

My experience at Salon & Spa Venessa is always wonderful. The atmosphere is so relaxing. It smells wonderful and is always quiet and peaceful. Mary does my hair and Amy takes care of my brows and facials. They are both extremely knowledgeable and will answer any questions I might have. I have never been disappointed and have referred my daughters and sis-in-law to the Salon and they were happy with their results as well. I highly recommend this salon.

Jerny does a wonderful job on my hair and he explains what he is doing which makes me more comfortable especially concerning trimming the length and layers. I highly recommend him.

I was so nervous, and it did hurt a little, but Amy and Stephanie were so helpful and patient. Everyone likes my new brows so far and I cant wait to see how they look after my touch up next month.

I was a little disappointed. I loved the hair color and the stylist was very nice; however, as a 71 year old lady I expect to leave a hair salon with my hair looking fixed. I often plan to meet friends or go shopping after a salon visit. But I have found that I get a color, a hair cut and a quick blow dry. I leave feeling I need to go home and style my hair! This has been true on multiple visits with 2 different stylist.

I’ve been getting all hair services at Salon Spa Venessa for a long time (over 6 years)-blow outs, cuts, dye, etc.I’ve had various stylists, each of them amazing! I’ve got to say, though, Tori is incredible at cutting curly hair! I went in yesterday with long, out of control hair and left with lighter, bouncier hair. Tori was so patient, talked me through how to style my hair, gave me a (requested) product consult, was honest in her opinions, and very kind. I would highly recommend her and this Spa in general!

I dream about going back for another appointment. I have been to salons before but none like this one. They really try to ensure you feel relaxed during your appointment and rested when you leave.They have great communication during your session and they truly make sure you are getting the right treatment for you. They provide you with the most soft and comfortable robes and slippers to wear before your appointment as well as the best tea and pastries. The whole ambiance was soothing and exactly what you need after a few long weeks or months. I had a massage and facial, which I would highly recommend scheduling one after the other because it was heavenly. I will be returning soon for sure!

I never had a complement on my hair until Ashley Henson started doing my hair. I love what she does to my hair. I have been dealing with awful, painful knots in my upper back and shoulder blades for months!! Finally decided to book a massage here...They put me with Terrie and WOW!!! She is absolutely a.m.a.z.i.n.g!!! Best massage Ive ever had (and Ive had a ton) She listened to my problems and needs and worked magic on me... I needed a very deep massage and she delivered it- spot on!!! It seriously was incredible!! I had my second haircut with Melissa and love the cut. She really listens. I like the products so much that I purchased some and find that I dont have to wash my hair as often. Courtney shaped my eyebrows and for the first time they werent overly shaped. The staff is very nice offering a beverage while you wait. I will definitely return.

I had a wonderful first time experience at this salon. My brother purchased a Spafinder gift card for my birthday. I was looking up places to use this card and this spa popped up as an option. I had driven past this place 100 times or more. I was excited to try it out. When I walked in the place smelled amazing. The energy was positive throughout the whole place. Downstairs the salon was buzzing and everyone seemed to be genuinely happy. I was walked upstairs to the spa area for my pedicure which was quiet and relaxing. The separated levels allowed for a positive experience in both areas. I was super impressed with the overall experience and I will be back again. Since it was my first experience they provided me with a little gift. I thought this was an exceptionally nice gesture. Check them out!

She toned the blonde in my hair, gave me some lowlights, and brought my natural roots down a little farther so I could have a beautiful, natural look. It was exactly what I wanted and more!!

I had my hair cut and colored by Mary about a year ago. (Regrettably I moved too far away to make this my regular salon.) I have light brown hair with a big patch of snow white on top, and she was able to blend it together so that it looked like I just had highlights. It was a pleasure to find someone so experienced and capable. Five stars for Mary, one less for the scheduling staff.

The spa is a lovely place...warm, welcoming, wonderful aromas and with women who really care to make your experience as perfect as possible. I have had massages, facials and pedicures there and each one was 5*. The friendliness is always professional and never stretches boundaries. I highly recommend The Spa Venessa for a relaxing appointment.

Janet is the absolute best! You can walk in tied in knots but you’ll walk out feeling completely refreshed and relaxed. I wouldn’t anywhere else.

She did a wonderful job answering my questions and an even better job on my facial AND foot/hand massage that were included. I highly recommend the 90-minute facial ... more money but worth every penny. Just a suggestion...dont drink any beverage BEFORE...90 minutes is a LONG time!! Oh, and ask for Tamara!!

Absolutely Wonderful Experience! I came into Spa Venessa with the hopes of not having to have my head shaved. I had had a very bad experience at another salon and my hair was extremely damaged, brittle, and was a horrible color. My appointment was with Jaci and I couldnt of been luckier. Jaci looked at my hair and we discussed options for repair and recovery. She really listened to what I wanted and gave me hope that we could get my hair back to a healthy place. I entered the salon that day with a awful head of hair and came out with a beautiful cut and color. I have never been happier! Thank you Jaci and Spa Venessa for amazing customer service! I will be a customer for life.

I highly recommend Salon and Spa Venessa! The customer service and spa staff are amazing and they have a great selection of spa services at very reasonable prices. I don’t get there often before I live an hour and 20min away. I am an Aveda Pure Privilege member with over 44,000 points and when I asked to redeem several rewards certificates at their location they gave me absolutely no issue and were happy to accommodate my needs with booking services. I have not had this experience at other Pure Privilege Spas and Salons so I was very impressed that they would accommodate my needs.

I have worked with Bethany and she did an /excellent/ job styling my hard to manage not curly-not straight-completely frizzy hair. Not to mention the beautiful job she did with my high/low lights that looked exceptionally natural when she was through - exactly what I asked for! The Aveda curly products are excellent. Definitely worth the slightly higher price point. And the salon itself is an experience. Inside of a converted home on Woodstock square, you feel pampered with the entire experience from the first offer of tea or coffee to your complimentary hand massage or makeup touchup service at the end of your visit.

I have been a customer of Salon and Spa Venessa for years, but lately the quality of service and products have gone down. At my last visit, I spent over $250 dollars for a facial, hair cut and dye. The stylist used so much mousse that I looked like an 80s dancing queen. I normally wouldn’t complain, but had an event that night. I asked to have it rewashed and styled, but the manager informed me that they were overbooked. She also said they were not an Aveda salon, but Salon and Spa Venessa...which may explain why some of the products smell like they have been refilled with over the counter mess. Needless to say, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Visited Amy for Microblading and she is such a pro. Very detailed and fun to chat with! I loved my results. The staff was very welcoming and friendly not your stuffy spa experience.

From the first phone call I made to the time I walked out from my appointment, I felt like I was family and they wanted me to be really happy! I had a bad experience at another salon and felt like what I wanted didnt matter and got a bad do! I wanted some one to fix the undercut that didnt go so well at the last place and they hooked me up with Heather! Booked a consult (free by the war) we discussed what I wanted and what she could do! Booked my cut appointment and Heather worked her magic and I walked out of there feeling like it was the best cut ever! Undercut the way I wanted hair the way it should be and I have a new stylist! Thanks to all of the wonderful people at Venessa!

Went in for just a flat iron no shampoo or blow dry and got upcharged $20. It cost $35 and it didnt even take the girl 25 minutes to do. Plus my hair was still a little wavy when she finished. I had to touch it up at home. If you want your hair straightened dont go here.Edit: I came in on Monday May 21 and my appointment was under my moms name Lisa Lancaster.

VERY RUDE FRONT DESK. Impolite and very brusque. How can you be condescending to customers? The owner needs to train all staff on how to interact with customers politely and courteously. The stylists are pretty good and the salon atmosphere itself is nice. BUT very rude front desk ruins everything!!!
