Employees here are the absolute best, go above and beyond to accommodate to your needs during your entire stay. Rooms have kitchenette which is expensive to have inside the rooms everywhere else but it was very affordable and exactly what I was looking for. Karen has the most awesome attitude at front desk, she is a delight to deal with everyday, thank you for everything.

I have stayed here twice. Each time the staff have been friendly and helpful. The rooms are pretty large, and they have perfectly workable kitchens/fridges/microwaves. Yes, the accommodations are basic. I have confirmed that there are no bedbugs here, either. One of the friendly cleaning staff (whom I have no reason to doubt, she is super-nice) informed me that there have never been bedbugs at this hotel. I was just looking for decent accommodations at a reasonable price, and this place fit the bill twice. I will stay here again when I need dental work done in nearby Los Algodones.

The staff is wonderful and the rooms are very clean. I stay at this location one a month and have always had a great experience!

The rooms are not new or fancy. They are scrupulously clean! The place is quiet and well maintained. I felt comfortable and safe though I was a woman traveling alone. The only thing that could be better was the mattress, though I realize its impossible to please everyone on that score.

Older motel, conveniently located, comfortable enough, clean, with fridge, microwave, coffee, Wi-Fi, TV. Good value for a good night’s sleep.

For an older hotel, I was super impressed! It felt like home, very comfy. Karen was absolutely amazing very helpful and a joy to talk to. She made my stay worth coming back! The place was well cleaned and the bathroom was clean enough to eat off of. I would highly recommend staying at this place!

Great place to stay. I work on the road and the convenience of the kitchenette and full size refrigerator at a great price is reason enough for me to like it here. The staff is very thoughtful and always there when I need towels or a new key made since I tend to forget it alot!!!

Karen is the manager of the property. Shes very responsive and super friendly. She checks on me frequently to make sure my stay is comfortable. Super happy with my experience and love Karen.

Terrible hotel. I don’t know why it’s a 3 star which should have be a 1 star. My friends and I reserved for 4 days but end up staying for 1 day due to the poor conditions of the rooms. There are bugs on bed, AC is too loud, there are a bunch of stains everywhere. Mole wasFound on the bathroom Handles. The carpet looks very dusty and dirty because it’s so old. When we try to talk to a employee, apparently there isn’t anyone and they don’t answer unless you ring their door cams. There are no workers at the hotel and we waiting 20mins for someone to come to the office to check us out. We decide to go to Ramada hotel which was much better than this one. So please for any future customers please read the review and avoid this hotel.

These folks are extremely welcoming, I was checked in early without any hassle. The room is large, with a kitchen and a cold air conditioner. This place is so clean you could eat off the floor or any other surface. Nice bed, fast internet and cable tv. They also have a pool and a laundry room. It’s a fantastic hotel to recharge before heading back home from Mexico, or as a stop on your way over. It’s safe as well. Enjoy 😊

Nice cool room for the price. I opened the cabinet and saw a cockroach. That is unacceptable. Pest control should be a must. Also, check out is 11:00, but she was nowhere to be found so we could get our deposit back, waited close to an hour for her to come. Seems to me someone should be in the office at check out time. The room was very nice and affordable

The room here was really cool, it made felt like home instead of a room you stay in after a long drive. They have a kitchen and like a patio in the its very unique. Pots and plates you can use to cook my partner was delightful by it and a nice set up room. Really have no complaints.

Decent, being a quick one night stay in between traveling. Remember to never push your self to drive to long with out good rest. The price was right! The rooms are old but well maintained (everything worked) & #1 above all else theyre clean as well as spacious. To top it off there is a kitchen in the room! By the way my family and I (3 ppl) stayed in a room with two beds.

Great place to stay. Many thanks to Sandy and all the staff there. Especially when the power went out because of a storm. The owners went out of their way to give the tenants battery operated lanterns. I spoke with my coworkers at other hotels and they were left in the dark. Again many thanks

Stayed here based on the prior reviews. The staff was great and the room was perfect. It has a fully stocked kitchenette and they were able to accommodate charging our boat and gave us a room where we could park it in front of our door. For the price, its the best deal in town. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it for anyone coming to the area with a boat!

I enjoyed my stay as I always do. Sandy the manager and housekeeper is most caring and hard working person I have met at a hotel. She keeps this place going and go out of her way to make sure her guest stay is the best it can be. I stayed here when there was a different manager and Sandy was the housekeeper. If it wasnt for Sandy we would of left after a couple day and not stayed for 4 months. Thanks Sandy for a great job. Your the best.

Comfortable bed great front desk. They are the nicest people. Room was clean and I have to admit I expected a lot less because of the price. I was pleasantly surprised for 39.99 we got much more and a better room than when Ive had to pay 60.00 and above. Plus it had a kitchen!! Well worth it .Ill stay here again next time I come to Yuma.

I was on vacation and avoiding any business. But oyo continued to email, text and call over a dozen times a day. With some special deal. Just ridiculous. It has changed my opinion and future stays with the hotel change. Maybe where the owners are from they can call 24 / 7 and harass the client. Does not. Work for us

The Deseet Grove inn, Has the Nicest employees, the manager (Sandy) ensures your stay is a great memory, the rooms are clean. They complain through in the mornings to tidy up the rooms. If you need anything, they respond with great service. Has all the basic needs to cook,eat and reheat. Full size refrigerator. Our Brotherhood has been visiting at least twice a year, for 10 plus years.

Not very appealing, aged inside/out, decent bed, pretty quiet, bathroom had clear window without a curtain and didnt lock. Plenty of parking. Very pet friendly, landmines all over. Make sure you have 50- cash for deposit. Full kitchen is a big plus.

They lack in technology by using a third party booking room . No matter if you have a confirmation they wont check you in until the the their third party sends the info which takes alot in my case . First time and definitely the last . I was still charged even though they were not ready and I didnt stay there. With the lady saying she chased me down to say my room was ready. What a big joke and when I mentioned she had a camera and if she could show me she actually chased me down , her story changed .

I have stayed at 5 hotels in Yuma now, this is the best. Sure its slightly dated, but there is a full size fridge, a stove a sink and much more. Plus its not super expensive and you can dine in or bring your take out home. Best part for me, was having my dog, they have a back yard with a sliding door ideal for my pup. Whenever I come back Ill be going here. They give a military discount and a secondy discount for returning customers. Plus walking distance to the bars, and a very central location for driving to the sites to see and restaurants to eat at.

Our experience so far here has been acceptable..I want to thank Sandy for being soo understanding of our situation in our time of need!! Our room is very accommodating for our children and pet..she has been very helpful and kind and sometimes thats what makes all the difference in a stressful situation!! I will recommend Desert Grove to anyone and would stay here again..its clean and affordable for the accommodations they offer..thank u again Sandy 😊

I stayed here with my brothers when I came out to Yuma to relocate a couple large saguaro cactus. Loved the place. Great prices. The best thing is that I was able to cook home meals. The stove really comes in handy. The kitchen had plates, cups and utensils. Just made my life easier. Will be staying here on my next trip to Yuma.

I can say this, the air conditioning was superb.

It is a nice old school motel. The staff is very friendly, if your not into cookie cutter hotels then this is your place, fair price, large rooms with a kitchen. I was told the rooms fill up fast during dove hunting season.

Even if you cannot find much to visit in Yuma, this place is cheap and authentic, not far from the main plazas. Check in at 15, clean room even if a bit worn out, garden in common, good fridge and cooking stuffs. Bathroom pretty small but clean and tidy.

I called to book a room and the desk clerk put me on a brief hold to check the availability of a room and the rates. When he came back on the phone, he pretended to be a reality agent and refused to give me any information about a room.

I liked the place becuz Sandy made it pleasant. I have a dog and it was great for her. The night shift is rude and hard to find half the time. They dont work with you on thier mistakes or compensate you in any way. But again Sandy was great in all ways. Very professional and understanding and friendly. Great manager. Thanks again sandy

This was a very reasonably priced (that I got online... either priceline or booking. com) motel... I paid somewhere right around $50 including tax.It was a king bed with a kitchenette which had a full size frig/freezer, stove, sink, and furnished with standard necessities like silverware, can opener, dish soap, etc.There was a sliding glass door to a pretty good sized grassy area in back, where there was also a pool (that I didnt go to). The wifi worked fine. Keep in mind this is not a foofy place for people who want everything shiny and brand spanking new.Some of the drawbacks were that I found quite a few of the listed cable channels unaccessible, but being that i went in the off-season, they may be available at peak times... I didnt ask because it wasnt really that big of a deal to me. My biggest problem was that I am an extremely light sleeper, and there were some kind of trucks nearby emitting the back up warning beeps thru the wee hours of the night. I dont know how common that is because i was only there 1 night; it very well might not be a problem for people who are not extremely light sleepers. If I had been able to use earplugs, that probably wouldve solved the problem, but since I needed to get up early, i could not risk missing the alarm.The staff was very friendly, and unless you are of the foofy crowd, this place should serve your purposes perfectly well, as it basically did mine to the degree to be expected, if not a bit above, for the price.

Clean towels and bedding.I’m 60 and I may have conceived on that mattress .... Place is old and run down. I think the carpet was dark red or brownLook for $50 a night you get what you pay for.Air conditioner works so it beats camping.

Roach Motel. That was my experience staying here. They crawled all over me. In all honesty, its a cool looking place, and the workers are very kind, but the place needs to be fumigated. The room came with a kithenette, full bathroom, the air conditioner blew ice cold. I just wished they didnt have a bug problem.

The other reviews are right, Sandy is the best! Its not the Hilton but hey, the price point should tell you that. Friendly, spacious and with a kitchen. Had a great stay.

If I could leave 0 stars Id subtract a few more. The worst. Id rather stay at the Knights Inn. My door doesnt lock. I called the office. No answer. Called on my cell phone and received a cheery call back until she realized I was in a room calling to complain. 45 min later Im about to miss an appt I drove 3 hours for and the frobt office is locked ibe seen nobody and of course no one is answering the phone. That would explain why there are no vehicles in the parking lot. Idk who left the positive reviews for this place but they didnt stay at this place.Review of my review. Eventually 2 hours after I missed the appt I drove here to go to the owner moved me to a different room. Why the 1st lady couldnt do that idk. This one works properly. Its ok for the price. I may actually stay again.

Booked a room through a 3rd party. Showed up to check in, lights were off and nobody home. No answer on the phone. Drove down the street and checked in somewhere else. Tried to get a refund and they refused. Really? Spoke with the bank who is happy to reverse the charge.

I was traveling from New Mexico to San Diego, CA. I wasnt feeling well and needed a place to sleep for the night. I checked in and a really nice lady Sandy checked me in. She was very nice. My stay was pleasant.

Everything was great except they block the audio for Fox News and the other hotel blocked it all together it was absolutely irritating that a hotel would feel like they need to control what is heard by anybody. Does socialism or communism come to mind?

Called this hotel to book a room. They booked me for a room, but once we got there for the reservation they said they had no availability and were very rude. Ended up having to cancel after the fact. AVOID THIS HOTEL!

Nice place but our. Clothes were stolen from the dryer and no one did nothing to replace or help replace them or even looked on the cameras or anything. We have nothing to wear. !

Desert Grove is more for the temp workers that come down from California or some other cities working in the fields and the like. Clean and respectable establishment. Owners are awesome.

I like what you get for your dollar. Wish the back was fully fenced in. I personally know the owners and love the host. Would recommend for Yuma stays.

We get together with friends who live in Cali every year and meet halfway and stay here. Okay for the price and sometimes the pool is clean. This last year wasn’t able to go because the pool was closed. Obviously rather stay in Scottsdale but this place does the job.

My parents wintered here for a lot of years. Decent rooms, friendly staff, guests had a lot of fun together by the pool.

The accomodations fit my travel needs. Not too expensive. Rooms were in OK conditions. Budget travel for the budget conscious traveler.

The rooms are like studios with a full kitchen. It was quiet, and they have a clean pool.

Excellent rooms. Sandy the manager is easy to along with. Good customer service.

The staff is friendly and helpful also enjoyed having a full kitchen for a hotel loved it stay again if ever needed to again
