We recently celebrated a U of Michigan graduation party at Rabbit Hole and everything was perfect. The venue was beyond our expectations and a beautiful atmosphere. There are multiple intimate places to have conversations as well as a dance floor and DJ that were great at getting the crowd involved. The bartenders and staff were great. Aubrey, our event coordinator, was a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Rabbit Hole for a private Ann Arbor event.

Saw this place online and wanted to visit for a drink and cute vibe, didnt expect music and dancing! for clubs, I loved the music here, very cool vibe and felt super comfortable!

This is such a cool place! Hidden in the basement of Circ, this wasnt at all what I was expecting.It definitely looks like they kept the old charm from the building and upgraded it to be a low-key, almost speak-easy type venue. We were assured that the lack of seating right now was just because of COVID, and that this will NOT become just another Ann Arbor club. The space has very low lighting, so give your eyes time to adjust if youre coming in from a bright day.Drinks are beautifully made, and cost as such-- cocktails here are around $15 each. But theyre tasty, and each one is unique! Plus youre paying for the unique vibes. Definitely give them a shot! Theyre technically open at the moment but havent even had their official soft opening, so it may be a while before theyre running at full steam.

Circ is a three level bar which includes:The Circ Bar - Rooftop BarThe Root Bar - Basement/SpeakeasyBarThe Tiki Bar - Outside bar with firepit and grilled/bbqish food.I believe theres a different name for the entire business but I cant remember.This place is really cool looking. Perfect venue to host a wedding or party event. Lots of space and great scenery. Drinks are TOOOOO EXPENSIVE $$$ and to be real not worth it at all. Its ann arbor... cocktails shouldnt be $15-$20 for one shot and juice/fruit/soda. Better off buying a drink from the other two bars and bringing it down to enjoy the view of somewhat of a speakeasy vibe. Staff friendly. Could be a great dance venue in my opinion if its used that way. This place is really just a nice sight see spot.

The bartenders are really nice and the drinks are great. Even though I had a very bad experience at Circ, I do think that the bartenders here at Rabbit Hole deserve a good review. Its a completely different vibe from Circ. I would definitely come back because not only the bar is beautiful but also because the bartenders are awesome.

Cool space but not worth the drink price.I had a spicy Rita and it was the most disgusting drink Ive ever had in my life.michelada is better 🤢Bought 2 (one for me and one for a girl) 45$ later, (with tip) two swallows, we both ditched the drinks. Ew.It took bar staff probably 19 minutes to moosy over on a not busy Friday and no fs given about the horrible drinks. Wasnt trying to wait again.Cool for a sit down when youre already sauced. Not cool when youre sober and looking

There was a cover but no band (?) and it annoyed us so much we didn’t go. Turned around and left. The other bars in the area / on site have great vibes though.

My cousin took me here for a night out when I was home and they did not disappoint! Logan and Dean were amazing . They made the best drinks, had great senses of humor - literally were everything! Our charcuterie board was delicious . The ambiance is amazing, such a vibe. I cannot wait to go back .

Hidden gem in Ann Arbor! We held our Holiday Party here and it was a huge success. Loved the venue, craft cocktails, and the food was great. As the Rabbit Hole suggests, it is on the lower level and has many different pockets (“burrows”) like a rabbit hole. There was plenty of room for everyone and plenty of seating. Would definitely recommend!!!

I made a reservation on a Saturday on open table thinking this was a cocktail bar. I get there and they question me, saying there’s no reservations, then want to charge cover for a club. So it’s not a cocktail bar like Last Word or Night Cap, it’s a club for college kids.

We had the best time, and bar tender Josh was so awesome and welcoming . Highly recommend hanging out Down the Rabbit Hole .

Our engagement party/couples shower was held here and it was more than we couldve dreamed of! The semi private space felt completely private. We had access to delicious food, tasty drinks, the best ambience and all our friends/family had a great time!

Root is the best place for a top shelf cocktail in Ann Arbor and one of the most unique bars that you will ever go to.Root is not your traditional bar, it is not even your traditional upscale cocktail bar. Root is an an experience from the moment you walk through the unmarked door. As you pass through layers of rock and darkness, you eventually find yourself in a place that feels so unfamiliar and undeniably cool that you wonder if you will be allowed to stay … and at the same time it feels as though it was hewn out of the earth just for you.

Rented out the private room at the Rabbit Hole for an engagement/couples party and the atmosphere and aesthetic. Had a great time seeing my people in a cozy atmosphere and the drinks were fantastic!

Hands down the best cocktails in Ann Arbor. This experience is memorable and special. The ambiance is relaxing and unique. It feels like a movie scene. My husband and I have been here twice now. Each time we want to stay for hours. We will certainly become regulars! The cocktails and experience also greatly outshine the last word

This is a super cool bar with a great atmosphere. It feels like youre in a European underground bar. The cocktails were great and reasonably priced for the quality. The bartenders were really personable and good at their jobs. We also ordered a large charcuterie and it was so good! Enough to satisfy 10+ people for snacking easily.

This was our Sons Engagement party and Everything Was Spot on and The Food , Drinks and Setting were Perfect. I would highly recommend the Rabbit Hole for Visiting and Your Event!!

Thought this place was great. The atmosphere is super cool, the drinks were good, and it wasnt too busy. If it was a busier time, I feel like it could have been a lot more noisy, but it worked out for us!

Wandered here while out with friends. Asked for the omekase drink and the bartender made me a phenomenal mezcal cocktail. Amazing setting make for a unique experience.

Went there for a work party and had a good time. Good variety of appetizers, all tasty, and they kept the appetizer table well stocked.

Such a cool experience, off the beaten path but completely worth it. Pretty pricey menu and small food portions but you are paying for the atmosphere which in my opinion is worth it. Really cool underground brick halls that make you feel like you’re no longer in Ann Arbor!

The atmosphere altogether is really good and its definitely college town attraction but the first bartender I went to was just as drunk as the college kids so how to use a different bartender to get service. And it could use a deep cleaning its got an off-putting smell

Update: I finally made it! The communication is still poor and the service isnt great but this place is so cool! I love the atmosphere.This place looks amazing. I would absolutely love to check it out, but the hours posted dont seem to be true to their actual operating hours. Ive tried going here twice- once they were closed for an event, fine- it is and event space after all. But I spoke to one of their employees to confirm hours for a specific day. I arrived on that day to find out they were closed. I reached out to them to get more information and nobody got back with me. Its very disappointing. Hoping they figure things out soon.

My favorite bar in Ann Arbor hands down. After searching for a bar to become a regular at my girlfriend convinced us to try root and weve been going bi weekly ever since. Great staff, very knowledgable on all craft cocktails to whiskey to overproof rum - I cant give a place any higher of a recommendation.

The BEST bar in Ann Arbor by FAR. Come for the top notch expertly curated cocktails and stay for the EXCEPTIONAL service. It’s a weekly ritual to unwind and indulge at this hidden gem tucked under circ in Ann Arbor. I dare you to only go once ;)

Great place and atmosphere 😋🔥

Behind Root’s feigned attempt of creating an air of exclusive sophistication, there lies…reality…aka majorly poor service. Place has a cool look to it, sure. What’s not cool is the complete lack of service. We waited, in vain. And left. Perhaps it was an off night but still. Do better!

Did not have food, nor do I know if food is available. Drinks were crafty & amazing! Chill place with dancing.

Terrible service. Our party of 6 got seated and waited 30mins and no server came by. 20mins in, we went to the bartender to just order at the bar instead and we were told only a server can take our order and hed come by the table himself to take the order. 10 mins later, still no service. We finally had enough and left.

Made reservations and was actually excited. Then I find that this place required vackscenes for staff - meaning they purged whoever didnt comply. Absurd. Cancelled immediately and wont spend my money there. Neither should you.

This place is total garbage. Customer service is non-existent. Its a basement stripped down to the bricks, probably used to be a meth lab. Prepare to wait over an hour for a drink while sitting on small uncomfortable chairs. Dont waste your time. Go to Connor Oneils or Ashleys.

Was here recently. Was one of my favorite spots, but they now charge 17$ for a old fashioned! I would go on about how nice the spot is, but honestly the price ruins the experience.

Lisa is the Morgan freeman to the documentary of my life. I asked her to add lemon to my cocktail. Not only did she squeeze it in my eye, upon request, but she rubbed it on the side of my glass, which did nothing!! Regardless, this attention to detail has taught me that life is about struggle. The sour parts that we don’t perceive are greatly impactful to the journey that defin3: our personal evolution. I am now a Buddhist. And, I’m Morgan Freeman.

Most disrespectful and rude staff I have ever encountered. The male bartenders should be fired for how horrible they treated the customers and their drinks were terrible. Should be ashamed of themselves. Will never come back here.
