I had a facial with Kayla at Fran Coys salon. She was phenomenal really took an interest in what I did with my skin care and really did a deep dive into what my needs were and then I walked out with my skin feeling 20 years younger I had kind of a bumpy chest And I said do you think you could do something with that? It was smooth as a baby bottom when I left my skin feels incredible smooth and young and vibrant. I’m gonna go back once a month because it made such an impact on me. I highly recommend Kayla for any facials you need. she did all of my waxing on my face. My eyebrows have never looked better if you’re looking for a effective great experience to improve your skin. This is your girl Fran has one of the most beautiful spa areas I have ever been in. You are treated to wear a half towel that has snaps during your facial then you’re given a robe where I sit in a waiting room with Lemon water to wait for my next appointment which was a massage. If I needed comfortable shoes, they had those as well, but I already brought my own. It was just incredibly relaxing, amazing experience and if you’re looking for someone who truly knows skin and women, You must call and make your appointment with Kayla!

I’m so glad I was gifted a certificate to Fran Coy. My experience has been so wonderful here today! I had a super relaxing massage from Barb. It was great! She was kind & accommodating since I’m very pregnant. I also received a fantastic mani & pedi from Rosie. One of the best I’ve ever had! She is super sweet & took her time to make me feel relaxed & beautified before birth. Her attention to detail was great and it didn’t feel rushed or like I was being pushed out the door. She was helpful in explaining all of my options to me. I loved the friendly environment and cleanliness here at the spa. I cant wait to come back in the future :)

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience with Katie Sue and Rosie! They were both knowledgeable about the products as well as highly skilled technicians. Both of them have excellent design sense and helped us pick out the perfect colors for an upcoming event. Our nails perfect because they took their time and did not rush. AND they are fun company on top of it all. We highly recommend them both.

I am a fairly new client at Fran Coy’s. Recently i had a manicure and pedicure with Paiton.I loved it… she was very efficient and friendly and pleasant. Yesterday i had an eyebrow wax service by Liz. She was also friendly and made me feel comfortable. i followed that with a gel manicure with Katie Sue. Again a great experience for me. I’m very impressed with all and will be back! Thank you.

Amazing every time!! I have seen Carrie for therapeutic massage for several years now. I am a musician and Carrie meets my specific physical needs in thoughtful, intentional ways that help me do what I need to do day to day in my profession. She always knows how to strengthen and care for my body through her massage work. She’s just the best!!In general for all kinds of appointments at FranCoy’s Spa, I always receive the highest quality for any treatment I book for the full appointment length (not shorter!) AND they never try to sell me to a subscription or gimmick of any kind. True relaxation! Absolutely love it here.

Came in for my first haircut today with Jill. It was a lovely service, great environment, friendly staff and I loved my haircut! I needed some hair products and Jill was patient and super helpful with all my questions. Took home some items based on her recommendation. Looking forward to my next haircut with her soon!

Recently got my eyelashes tinted and lifted and I was so pleased with the results! Rachel was my service provider and she was amazing! She was quick, friendly, clean and made my service relaxing.

Mindy is amazing!! I am going through chemo and was a bit nervous to go the wig route, in walks Mindy, she was so helpful, sweet, fun and engaging. She made me feel so comfortable and confident. I can’t thank her enough. If you’re on the fence about wigs run, don’t walk to book an appointment with her!

After two pandemic years, I was looking for a new salon to call home. I discovered Fran Coy and chose Jill Mock based on her Instagram photos. Every visit has been a pleasure. Jill is great, and beyond that, the salon is always pleasing to the senses and a great value for the quality service. The vibe is one of folks who are happy to be working here and happy with each other as colleagues. The apprenticeship program is an added bonus. Highly recommended!

For the last 3 years, I have had my hair done exclusively by Miranda. She’s amazing and never disappoints. My 16 year old daughter sees her now too, and so does one of her friends because of how great her hair looked after getting it cut and highlighted. Go see her! You will totally love her work!

Have been coming here for builder base gel nails and Im never disappointed! Alex is lovely and the process is fairly speedy as well. Definitely will continue using Fran Coys as my go to salon!

Loved my hair service with Jill Mock!Me: Caucasian Mom that just turned 40. Brown thick wavy hair that is starting to show some grays. I always get long layers to take weight out of my hair. Style simply using revlon air brush and parting to side, pinning the middle, or putting up in a bun. Newer to coloring services but expecting to be a regular now that I’m in my 40’s. I’ve lived all over the place including San Francisco, CA and Scottsdale, CA so I have definitely had to try out different stylists in my lifetime. We recently moved to Ann Arbor so here I am looking for someone new yet again.What I wanted:I used a natural instincts wash out color about 6 weeks ago but my hair just feels very dark these days. Looking to start covering the roots and adding some light and life to my hair. For the cut, I just needed a trim and shape this time around.Jill was fantastic! I felt comfortable with her right away. She asked good questions about my hair and what I was looking for and talked me through what she was going to do. She did a root color along with some foils and I was there for 2hrs including the cut and dry. I enjoyed the whole experience and love how the look turned out. It feels like my hair but better! I will definitely continue to use Jill for my cut and coloring as she is experienced, thoughtful, and takes pride in her work.

In my oinion it is a place to go for one service. Not a spa where you stay for several services. Booking is harder than it seems like it should be. Not overly impressed with services. I wont be back. I called about a week before Mothers Day to schedule a massage, facial, and pedicure for my mom and myself. It took a few phone calls back and forth because they couldnt easily/quickly coordinate the services. We had to book a month out to get everything scheduled together. They called a few days before to confirm but stated me a different start time. I sat on the phone a few minutes so she could review and confirm the times. Apparently she was calling to confirm times for just one service and didnt know we had others. The morning of the service they called to say my Esthetician had called in sick. They offered me a longer massage, at my own expense. Then I had to sit and wait for the rest of my mom’s facial. I understand that these things happen but I would have expected they would have some availability elsewhere in the spa to fill the gap or offer a discount. They offered a $10 coupon which honestly felt like a joke. 2% of my services seemed like almost an insult. Maybe Im expecting too much. When i expressed my disappointment to the woman at the front desk she said she would talk to the manager. I never heard anything else from her. The massage was fine but I have had much better elsewhere in town. The pedicure was lovely, but nothing exceptionally noteworthy. The staff was lovely. My moms Esthetician was so nice and ended up offering to stay later than her shift to squeeze in my facial. Unfortunately I had to get kids from school so I couldnt stay. My mom enjoyed her facial but said it wasnt anything special.

Great salon,everyone very nice,great coffee! My stylist Miranda is awesome! She listens to me and what I’m looking for. I like how she always goes back over my haircut after she dries it.

I definitely felt better due to Serenas massage. The desk experience and environment could have been better. I could hear people nearby throughout and was not invited to sit in the quiet massage area upon arrival. Heated table was very nice.

Kayla is amazing for waxing. She’s fast she’s efficient and she can keep the conversation flowing to keep you distracted. She does an amazing job it makes you feel extremely comfortable. I highly recommend!

Rachel did a great job with the lip and eyebrow wax and tint. Very professional in her approach. For a newer esthetician, I would recommend her and would have no hesitation in using her services in the future.

Katie Sue did a fantastic job with my mani and pedi. Loved the nail art!

Ive had such an great experience coming to Fran Coys. Everyone is super accommodating and helpful. Alex has been a blessing, her care and attention to detail are amazing, so thankful for her!

The only place in Ann Arbor to get a structured gel manicure — so much better for my nails than dip, lasts 3+ weeks, and looks amazing! I love coming to this friendly, clean, professional salon

Salon’s location is not central, it’s a large place with one stop shop for a number of beauty services. I arrived there on time for waxing appointment, but had to wait 20’min past the appointment time. Disrespectful but this wasn’t the worst of it. Walked out with a couple of noticeable burns on my face (the redness on my face subsided within 30 minutes, however two areas are clearly burns). Needless to say, I won’t return and am evaluating next steps.

Been coming here for over a year now and each time the staff and service were awesome. From a light trim to balayage, Aspen has always done a fantastic job and is a delight to talk with. Also loved my facials with Rachel

Zandra is simply the best masseuse around. She is strong and yet her massages are relaxing and completely therapeutic. Can’t wait for my next one!

Alex made my hair healthy and bouncy again. This salon has a great atmosphere and products and really reasonable prices. Coffee is good, too... 😁

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. Everyone is very kind and professional, and they seem to really enjoy their craft. I have been to Sydney several time this year to cut and balayage color my hair, and this last time to get it styled for my wedding. She took all my poorly articulated ideas, and using fresh flowers and all, made exactly what I wanted for the big day. Then Miranda took over, and gave me full glam makeup. They were both a joy to work with during trials and the wedding day, making me feel confident and beautiful. I don’t remember the name of the lovely woman who helped my mom with hair and makeup, but she was awesome too. And their wedding coordinator. Two thumbs up. Highly recommend for all your bridal beauty needs!

I definitely do not recommend coming here. I have had a very bad experience and I will not be returning because i do not trust anyone touching my hair. Between the lies and coming out of the salon not what I expected, I just cant deal with this anymore. 4 days of being upset, this was to much.After researching and talking to other stylist I will not be returning because I dont trust things will work out. For the future the stylist Amber needs to do a better job at consulting her client way more and not just jumping into something that turns out completely wrong. I paid a lot for something I didnt get and I am so unhappy. This was supposed to be a special gift for me and it turned out to be the opposite..

Id like to give a shout out to my friend and stylist, Jill Mock, for continuing to make my visits feel like a mini-vacation (me time). Fran Coy does a great job letting me feel totally safe and comfortable while treating myself to the simple pleasure of a cut-and-color (and good conversation with Jill) through their responsible practices in a healthy environment, without safety measures seeming at all obtrusive. :)All my older comments still stand; in a nutshell: Likeable, friendly staff; pleasant space; good products; great outcomes.(Update Spring 2024 for Massage visit) Had a great relaxing and therapeutic massage visit with Serena. She puts you at ease immediately and makes sure youre comfortable and that she knows what outcomes youre looking for in your massage. (If you want to talk, shes a great conversationalist!)

Fran Coy’s is a local treasure. They have wonderful services to pamper and groom yourself to perfection. I’m most fond of Jill Mock’s services. She is a talented stylist and a whiz with color. She also has a great eye what’s both current and flattering. This is a cheerful friendly place.

My wife came in two weeks ago before our wedding to get a facial, a mani/pedi, and eyelash extensions. It was a nightmare. They were too busy and overbooked so they split her appointments in multiple days, that would have been fine if the services she received would have been good but everything except the facial was subpar at best.The eyelash extensions she received looked awful and 4 lashes fell out the same day she received it. Now, almost all of them are gone and she’s been trying to do everything she can to make them last. They look awful. A lady from the front desk came in during her extension appointment to rush it along and double booked the clinician with a mother-daughter appointment, so it wasn’t her fault. I felt so bad for my wife, her eyelashes looked nothing like what she asked for or wanted. It is extremely unprofessional to overbook clinician and then to rush them with a client still in the chair. She wanted to go back the same day to get better lash extensions since the wedding was 3 days away, but they were overbooked and no one would have been available. When the wedding day came, my wife showed the hair stylist what she asked for (lashes) and the cosmetologist was appalled by the job done.Apparently she also asked how long the gel manicure would last and she was told 3 months. It chipped a week later and the edges around the cuticles have no polish.Severely disappointed with Fran Coys. This was for a wedding and my wife had a terrible experience. I would not recommend.

Had an amazing experience. Loved all the staff, very inviting atmosphere. Before I checked out I made my next appointment. Very Clean. I was very impressed.

I recently started seeing Alethea for my eyebrow care and facial waxing and wish I would have seen her years ago. So happy to have Fran Coys as my salon and spa!

I love Fran Coy’s! I come once about every 6 weeks to get my hair colored and cut. Holly is the most AMAZING hairstylist ever! She always does a fantastic job coloring, cutting, and styling my hair. She is so personable and easy to talk to. I would recommend Fran Coy’s and Holly to anyone looking to get their hair done!

I’ve heard such great things about this business which is why I spent $750 on a package for my partner and I to enjoy and was highly shocked at the unorganized manner and inexperienced techs this business employs. Which is a bum because I’ve always dreamt of a relaxing spa day, and this was anything but that.Before I begin my review, I will note everyone was very nice… however kindness doesn’t make this expensive experience worthwhile to me….First, we checked in and they told us to take a seat. Every time I’ve had a massage their first priority is to give us a form to fill out about our preferences. I had to ask for those forms and the receptionist goes “oh yeah! Here you go”First up: pedicure. At $69 + a $14 tip I was expecting this pedicure to be amazing! On the contrary, it was the laziest pedicure I’ve ever received. So much so I had to go home and finish my pedicure, cleaning the sides of my nails, clipping ingrown areas, etc. But again, the girl was very nice (though for that kind of money I shouldn’t have had to direct her on how to give a proper pedicure so I let it be). My partner felt the same way about his $61 + $12 tip pedicure. Worst pedicure he said he’s ever received.We had what was only supposed to be a 15 min break so my toes could properly dry before going onto the massage table which I understood… we waited 40 minutes before we were taken into the massages (there was apparently a scheduling error)On the massage form it asked “how often do you receive massages” and I put down 1-2 times per year and had “check-marked” the “relaxing massage” option. From what I read from further research on the internet after my massage, my experienced technician should understand what kind of pressure should be applied - obviously I don’t know because I have had 5 in my life and I trust the tech to know.I did let her know I have sciatic nerve pain in my lower back and she said she would be cognizant of that… she wasn’t. My back hurt so bad after that. But that was the tip of the iceberg. About 2 hours later my body felt like I had been hit by a car, and I could barely move. I had to take 4 Advil and a muscle relaxer and still was in pain. The next day (which was Christmas Eve and we had early plans) I woke up bawling over the excruciating pain my body was still in. I couldn’t believe what was supposed to be a relaxing day at the spa turned into one of the worst pains I had ever felt. So again, before big Christmas Eve family plans I had to take another muscle relaxer and 4 Advil. Thanks to all the medication I had to take due to the pain, I ended up having to leave our families house early and spent half the day sleeping.I will note though, my partner did say that was the best massage he had ever received… I’m glad he enjoyed his especially for the cost I paid.Lastly was the facial. No complaints about that. Though my girl had only been doing esthetician work for a couple months, she did a lovely job selecting the products and applying them.

I had the best experience! It was my first hair cut with Aspen and she did an amazing job. She was upbeat, friendly and gave me exactly the haircut I was hoping for! Pricing was affordable and I left feeling a thousand times cuter than when I walked in. Thank you so much, I will definitely be back!!

When I moved to Ann Arbor from Dallas, TX, 10 years I was lucky enough to find Fran Coys right away and the hairdresser I have used ever since. I have never had a complaint and always leave the place feeling brightened and lovely. Prices are reasononable, products are excellent, service is top notch, and the treatments are always kind to my hair.

I have been with Melissa at Fran Coys for over two years now, and she always does the most beautiful job! She has done lots of different colors and techniques on me, and my hair always ends up looking perfect. She is so kind and knowledgeable, and I would recommend her to anyone.

I have been a client at Fran Coy Salon for several years. I started with Jessica, who expertly repaired a very bad color treatment I received at another salon. When she moved out of the area, she transferred me to Alisa and Ive been with her ever since. Alisa is a great stylist and does a wonderful job with my highlights and color touch-ups. My hair is pretty basic in that I wear it long and straight, all one length. She is very understanding about my reluctance to trim too much/too often and never pushes me to cut more than Im comfortable with. On the couple of occasions when Ive needed to be worked in, Alisa has been very accommodating. I have also received other salon services from Rachael; she is wonderful. The front desk staff is always friendly. I recommend Fran Coy Salon to a lot of my friends and Id never consider changing to another salon.

Normally i see ariel but i’ve seen other stylists before too. i always leave happy when i see ariel but today i came in hoping for some help and left with a haircut that was not what i asked for. i hate people i don’t trust touching my hair and doing things without making sure it’s ok with me. hair grows and i’m not saying i’m never returning but i will never see amber again. my hair is inches shorter than i asked and she was cutting my hair before she asked what i wanted when she had the scissors in her hand. i’ve had really bad experiences with not having control of my hair and this made me feel like i had no control again. like i said my hair will grow back but my confidence is harder to get back. going into my last year of school with what feels like an edna style haircut. even if i don’t book a consult i expect my stylist to ask my opinion and see what is wanted from the customer.

Comfortable, professional, relaxing environment and Rosie is amazing! I highly recommend this salon.

My last experience at Fran Coys was excellent. The measures they are taking to prevent the spread of Covid made me feel safe from the moment I arrived. Jill Mock is my stylist and has been for several years. She is excellent at what she does. She is always prepared for my appointment, and she cares about her clients needs. She is also fun to talk to and catch up with during the appointment! I definitely recommend Jill and Fran Coys Salon!

I have been getting my hair styled by Jill Mock at Fran Coy’s for many years. I got my mother to switch to Jill, my sister, and my daughter too.We love Jill’s recommendations and have had been comfortable with discussing our hair. She gets that we want great hair and fabulous color with minimal effort. She has a really good eye for color.I love it when strangers say “ you have such pretty hair”. Do yourself a favor and try Jill.

I highly recommend Alex. She always does a fantastic job with my color and cut. She gives great suggestions with my cut to help with the style I am looking for. I always enjoy the whole experience when visiting her and how it turns out when I leave. She takes the time with her clients to be sure you are satisficed and takes pride in her work. The staff is always wonderful and the salon and nail services are fantastic. I have yet to try and of the spa treatments.

I have been a client of Fran Coys for over 10 years and am ALWAYS treated with respect and receive excellent service with terrific results! Over the years, when a stylist I have used and loved moves on, they have always turned me over to another stylist being sensitive to my needs. And each stylist has been as fabulous as the last. Currently, Taylor takes care of my hair and of me. I would recommend her 10 out of every 10 times!

I absolutely love going to Fran Coys for my cut, color and highlights. I have been going to the salon for a number of years and Danielle Hershey is my stylist. She is such a kind person and so very good at what she does. I am always happy when I leave here. The style looks so nice and Danielle makes me feel pampered and special. I drive quite a distance for this but it is well worth it. All the rest of the staff is always very friendly to me and the specials they run on products are also quite good.

Fran Coys ranks 5 stars every time I visit, which is once a month. I love my hair stylist, Laura, who listens well and interprets exactly what Im looking for. She has been my stylist for many years, and I am always totally pleased. I have also enjoyed spa services which were excellent as well. Everyone there acts in a professional manner, with the clients best interests in mind. In addition to the services they provide, they are well stocked with quality hair & skin products.

My first visit to Fran Coys. Devon listened and meticulously did the full head blonde highlights and cut/styled on my long lockdown hair. I was extremely satisfied the entire time I was at the salon. Open, clean and the comfort of the hair washing loungers with basin behind is what every salon should have. Glad I have discovered this salon. And very reasonably priced for Ann Arbor.Update 7/15/21 - Still overwhelmingly pleased with Fran Coys Salon and Spa. Devon is still the best for blonds and highlighting. IMO. And I am an artist and very meticulous about color. Everyone is friendly and professional. Very bright and clean environment too.

I have been going to Fran Coys for a couple years now, however this was my first time returning to Fran Coys since the pandemic began.I saw Anna for a shellac manicure and my nails look phenomenal. I cant recommend her services enough! I am working from home and dont have any events coming up so I didnt need to get my nails done, but taking time for some self-care, felt really good.The process for check-in/screening was organized and thorough. The salon was clean, specifically in the nail area they now have glass panels that hang between you and your tech. Im thankful for Anna and the Fran Coys team for taking measures to put our safety first.

Just want to say that I have been going to Jill Mock at Fran Coy;s Salon for hair cut and color for about two years. When I first went there, my hair was long and colored too dark. I took a picture with me to show Jill what I was looking for in style and color. Jill took a lot of time to talk with me and play with my hair examining the texture, etc. I was absolutely thrilled with the cut and highlights she gave me. Jill is always on time for my appointments and is always upbeat and professional. I highly recommend her services and Fran Coys Salon.

I love Fran Coy Salon! My stylist Jill Mock is amazing and my hair is always perfect when I leave. I also feel like Ive caught up with an old friend because of how kind Jill is to all her clients. The amount of personal contact from the salon throughout the pandemic has been amazing from selling hair dye kits for curbside pickup when everything was closed to calling to check in and make sure I had an appointment once they opened. The salon had great sanitation practices in place when I returned after the closure. There was sanitizer at the entrance along with a symptom sweep which I really appreciated. I felt welcome and safe returning. Thank you to all the staff for the outstanding care you take, especially with the current challenges.

For my first time coming I had a great experience! They were very understanding of my need to reschedule due to an upcoming snowstorm, and when I did come in everyone was very welcoming and the haircut was exactly what I wanted.Ill definitely be returning in the future.

I truly appreciate how willing she is to try new cuts and hi-light combinations on my hair each time I see her. She is also great about trying to schedule appointments around my schedule. Rose was my stylist and did a great job of taking the time to ask the right questions so I was happy with my cut and color. I made the move to Fran Coys a couple years ago, and have never regretted it. My stylist is fantastic, giving me the best cuts I have ever had. I was recently at the salon for my first cut in months (due to COVID-19 restrictions). There procedures to keep customers and staff safe were excellent. I felt very comfortable.

This was my first appointment at Fran Coys and my stylist, Alex, was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable about the products we discussed, she did a great job with the balayage I had done, and how to maintain and keep my hair healthy afterwards. Ive often done balayage with other salons and I was very happy with her work. Everyone at the salon was friendly and helpful and I enjoyed the whole experience. Alex went above and beyond and I will certainly be returning in the future.

This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a salon and I will never return here. Leaving here, my hair was an absolute disaster and took two follow up appointments with a different salon to fix. I was devastated and can’t believe that I ever wasted my money here.I went into the appointment asking to fix the current highlights that I already had because they were grown out and I wanted my grey hair covered. I left with my whole head being completely blonde (I am a brunette), greys showing, and the stylist refused to use toner on my hair so it was a disgusting copper/orange color. She didn’t care about my appointment or my hair, because the hair color was processing for way too long, and she was working on two other clients at the same time as me.I called the next day to see if I could get in to have someone at least tone my hair (a process that would take no more than 15 minutes) and I was told that I could not get in for another two weeks. The same day as my phone call, my cousin had a hair appointment scheduled that Fran Coys canceled on her 15 minutes before her appointment and told her she couldn’t get back in for another two weeks as well.The staff is incredibly rude and does not care about you or what you want. I would have had a better experience at the Aveda institute with the students. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

Fran Coy is fantastic. The new phone system is redundant. I would hope the majority of calls to Fran Coy would be customers wanting to set appointments. Yet customers wanting to set appointments are required to navigate the new phone system by listening to a message then asking them to press 1 if they would like to make an appointment. After pressing one you are directed to another message asking you to press 1 if you want to make an appointment. At that point I was directed to the desk to actually make the appointment. Fran Coy’s stylist’s are fantastic, but the new phone system says please don’t call we’re to busy.

Ive been seeing Katie for all of those years and was so pleased and continue to be pleased every time that I found someone with talent as well as honesty. Lilly was my stylist and she exceeded my expectations! She gave me a choppy/textured bob which I love. I totally would recommend her to anyone! She cut/styled my hair exactly how I communicated and envisioned. She was amiable and professional. They ensured everyone wore masks, I did a virtual covid-19 check in, as well as getting my temp taken when I walked in, and they had me wash my hands as well. They also had little signs on every chair that said it had been sanitized. Very thorough and fun atmosphere.

Jill Mock is a wonderful stylist! She transformed my “Covid “ hair into fabulous, low maintenance glamour hair! By adding a gloss to my tired locks and doing an easy upkeep trim, I now look and feel cute on every zoom! I’m also so impressed that even my next day hair was as amazing as the day I had it styled. The salon was so relaxing and peaceful. It was a much needed break. The safety protocols in place were better than anywhere I’ve seen.

For our wedding party, we booked Fran Coys Salon to provide make-up and hair services to our girls, and we also scheduled massages for several of the guys in our party. Throughout the process, I worked with Kari, our scheduling coordinator through Fran Coys. She was marvelous, reaching out throughout the process and quickly providing any information we needed and answering questions we had. The day of our wedding, all of our wedding party members that received services at the salon had an outstanding experience. Everyone was warm, professional, and above all, accommodating to any of our needs & requests. They provided our party with our own room to hang out in and allowed my sister to provide refreshments on hand to enjoy while getting ready. I had my first hair appointment today since the COVID-19 lock down. I must say I was very impressed with the safety precautions put in place at the salon. I can tell that the staff is concerned for the welfare of their clients and that the management must be concerned with the safety of their staff as well. From the temperature taking, to the wearing of masks to the notes that items had been previously sanitized, I appreciated the attention to detail. This attention to detail was, of course, consistent in the hair services I received-a root touch up and trim. My hair looks (and feels) fabulous! Jill Mock has been my stylist for a little over a year now and I couldnt be more pleased!

Jill Mock has been my stylist for many, many years. She is a complete professional and stays current on all the latest trends and techniques. I am very cautious when it comes to my hair. However, with Jill, I have the confidence to allow her the freedom and free reign to try different things I would not normally do such as a color. Two years ago I developed alopecia, which has since gone away, but she worked with my hair to help cover the problem and made me look great! I have been going to this salon for several years now and just continue to love the place! I recently had a therapeutic massage from Carrie and she was amazing!!! In fact she was so amazing I booked a 90 minute massage for myself over the holidays!! My desk job tends to make my neck and shoulders really tense and knotted up. Carrie found all those knots and got rid of them!!! I cant recommend her highly enough!!!Looking for a pedi or haircut?? Than I cant recommend Holly enough!! I love this girl!!! I recently moved to the Ann Arbor area and thought I would check out this salon. I was apprehensive to try a new salon as I really loved my salon where I used to live. I was pleasantly surprised. It is a beautiful spacious building, and the staff were very friendly. I was there to get a pedicure, and liked it so much I went back the following week to get my hair done. I loved my stylist. He did a really wonderful job (Davie). I will definitely go back again. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was I thought the front desk staff were not as friendly and cheerful as I am used to, and I had to wait for around 10 min to get into my appointment.

I always receive superior service at Fran Coy Salon and Spa. The front desk receptionists are always friendly, helpful, and professional. Leslie Nardoni does a great job on my nails. She is so creative and willing to try new designs on my nails. I also receive services from Massage therapist Amy Sperendi. Her massage techniques soothe my sore muscles. I believe I am the healthy person I am today because of Amys massages.I have received other services at the Salon as well- including services to prepare me and my wedding party for my big day - all have been excellent.I have recommended this Salon in the past and will continue to do so!Great job, Fran Coy Staff!

I visited Fran Coys for the first time 2 weeks ago and was very impressed with the manicure and salon in general. They were friendly, impeccably clean, on time and Anna did a great job on my nails. They were even kind and helpful in helping me find somewhere close by the nail station for my 6 year old to play his tablet (I had to bring him with me unexpectedly). Fran Coys Salon is the best in Ann Arbor! The skill of the stylists,especially Karin Brandt, the lovely ambience of the salon, & the fine products they use make it the place to go. It is worth driving from the other side of town to come here.While this review is 5 years old, my comments are still true today. In addition, living with the Covid19pandemic for over a year makes coming to the salon a safety & health concern. Fran Coy has takenall the necessary precautions to keep their clients & staff safe. They have added plastic dividers &used spacing as safety techniques as well as wearing masks & screening techniques such as a healthquestionnaire, & temperature taken by an automatic device. I try to be very empathetic and give people the benefit of doubt, but after visiting Fran Coys three times, I unfortunately cannot recommend them.In particular, my last two visits were very disappointing.I booked a haircut with a senior stylist. My hair desperately needed attention as I’m a new mom in the middle of a pandemic with very little time for self-care.I simply hoped to cut off length and get some nice shaping/“juj” it up. Everything seemed okay when I left the salon (presumably because it was blown out). However, after a few days I noticed a) my hair was weirdly uneven/choppy from the back and b) there was no shaping/style to it at all. The layers look odd and my hair looks awful no matter how I style it. I’m honestly so disappointed. I’ll be getting my hair redone at a different salon this week.Meanwhile, I had already booked a Spa package as a mini celebration later that week. My massage was good and my mani/pedi was fun (shoutout to Rosie who is totally great and so sweet!). My facial was odd, though. The room seemed kinda dirty and there was a fluorescent light shining directly above me like a doctor’s exam room. It did not feel relaxing at all. I got the sense that the aesthetician (not sure she was one) had not done many facials before? She seemed really nervous/hesitant. Totally different from other facials I’ve had in the past and a bit unnerving. For the amount of money, I just don’t think this was quality service or a good experience. A facial should be really soothing; instead I was taken out of relaxation mode for the rest of my spa day.I feel really bad writing this, but I am so, so sad about my experiences. Maybe if you find the right person for your hair this place might be great, but for me it has become a big no.

I’ve received massages from a lot of local places but I really appreciate that Carrie takes the time to ask what you’re looking for and then delivers for the full amount of scheduled time. It was quicker, easier, and more fun than I thought it would be! I drove two hours to come here and it was worth every mile. The salon is big and modern, and I LOVED the reminder text!

I always enjoy getting my hair done by Elisaa at Fran Coy Salon and Spa. My stylist is very professional and talented. My hair comes out perfect every time. She always goes out of her way to fit me in and if I need something done unexpectedly, she will stay late to do my hair. I also love the Salon as a whole. The staff at the front desk are very friendly and curteous. I recommend this salon to anyone who needs their hair done in a professional and skillful manner.

Jill Mock has been my stylist for 26 years, and I couldn’t be any happier. Jill is bright, funny, accommodating, and sooooo knows what she is doing. She also doesn’t laugh at me when I “tweak” my hair between visits and completely screw it up. She’s professional, and always wants her clients to leave happy with her work, and will go the extra mile to make that happen.

I came across Fran Coys Salon and Spa when I suddenly found myself in need of a new hair stylist after 15 years with my usual stylist. Needless to say, I was nervous.My appointment was with Sydney, and she colored my hair a beautiful rose gold. More than a week later, I still love it and the color is still as perfect as it was when I left the salon.Sydney made the process very painless, which is quite impressive considering the bleaching thats required in order to hold the rose gold color. Amber did my hair for my wedding. I had a not-so-great experience with another stylist there but the staff at Fran Coys did everything in their power to make it work. Massages at Fran Coy Salon and Spa are always a great experience! My fiancé and I go here around once a month, and couldnt ask for a better place for relaxing and calming couples massage. I had bought a Raquel Welch wig from the salon while going through chemo (starting late 2017) As I had no idea where to start to look for a wig, the staff helped me pick one out and match my regular hair color. They were very friendly, please don’t get me wrong. I was told that the $1500 wig was 100% human hair. Since I believed it, I bought it and brought to my own hair dresser to style for me (even though they did offer to style for me). My hair dresser in fact told me that the wig was blended hair (human and synthetic) and when styled on low heat, it totally ruined the wig. Like I said, as the staff was friendly, I feel as if they should have been honest about the synthetic hair and/or learn more about products they sell to people. I know I’m writing this review very, very late, But i still think it’s important for others to know.

How can you not rate Fran Coys Salon anything but 5 stars! It offers all of the services you could possibly want and has great people working there (everyone is friendly, courteous and efficient). It has a great location with ample parking and a very clean environment. Ive been going there for over 10 years and wouldnt consider changing! Great Job guys!

I came in for a scheduled mani and pedi with my best friend. I was surprised during the pedicure that the technician didn’t begin to wrap my fingers that were noticeably in dip. My nail technician wasn’t aware of how to remove dip. And using her tool did damage on my cuticle, see picture. After I told her how they do this in my usual salon she ran out of time to complete any paint on my nails and left them completely exposed. While stopping at a store on the way home, one of my nails broke and I had to stop by my usual spot to get them all cut back and painted appropriately. What a waste of money.

Last week was my first visit to Fran Coys Salon and Spa. I went there on the recommendation of my friend, Sue. She was exactly right. I received a great cut and color from Melissa and enjoyed my time there. I scheduled my next visit that day! Thanks, Melissa.

They had me reschedule my appointment twice for reasons on their end just have it canceled on their end anyways. The appointment was for an upcoming cross country trip and now I’ll be lucky to get in anywhere. It was a waste of my time and energy.
