My back is currently out, and the muscles are locked up. So, I went to MassageLuXe for a DEEP tissue massage to help unlock those muscles. I purposely chose a male therapist, and boy did poor Shawn T get a WORKOUT!! 🤣🤣 He did get in there! We forgot to do my arms, but hey, my back wasnt as tight. They followed that up with 15 hydromassage. 🤌🏻 On my way out, I was able to meet the owner, Jenny, who is also a sweetheart.From start to finish 10/10! Definitely DO recommend!

I had a fantastic experience at MassageLuXe with Eva. The place is clean and inviting, making it easy to relax from the moment you walk in. Evas Chinese massage was very professional and comfortable. She focused on my back pain, and I felt immediate relief. Her expertise made the whole experience incredibly soothing. I highly recommend MassageLuXe and Evas services for anyone seeking a top-notch massage.

Got a facial done here and it was amazing!!! Came in and the front desk welcomed me with lovely smiles and were super nice. Had a facial with Sara and she was so good! I have acne prone skin and she listened to all my concerns and worries and gave me the best options to take care of my skin. During the facial even it was so relaxing and I couldn’t have asked for anything else. It was awesome!!!

My wife went in for an appointment the other day and after the appointment was over she received requesting she give a tip because she forgot to. Now we tip for activities and when we go out to eat, but to have a location call and request one after my wife paid and tell her shes a liar after she requested they take a look at the cameras is unacceptable.We were later informed that the receptionist in question is the owners daughter and there have been some discrepancies in regard to tips going missing or never being given in the first place. Will at least be reporting to the state for investigation, the employees deserve at least that much.

Best massage I ever had. I walk in with tight neck muscles and walked out 100% relaxed. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. This place was suggested by my daughter. And Now I am suggesting everyone! Love this place 🫶🏻🫶🏻so excited to visit again.

I received a Groupon as a gift for a facial. I called and made an appointment, I told them that I had a Groupon and the person who answered the phone, Stephanie told me that I could get in the same day about 5 hours from when I called. I asked which location to go to and she said their Main St. location. I ended up not having time for the facial and called 3 hours before my appointment so I called again and was told that I could not change my appointment because I had to do it 6 hours before the appointment and they would charge me if I was a “no show”- even though it had been less than 6 hours until my appointment so I had to come in. She said she told me the policy when I made the appointment. She didn’t. So I had to go to get the facial which was nice and Sarah was lovely. I was so relaxed when it was over, but it didn’t last because when I went to the counter to show my Groupon and tip Sarah the lady said that they could not accept the Groupon because it was meant for the other Ann Arbor location. I was stuck. I didn’t have money for a facial. In fact I haven’t indulged in any self treats in years, so this gift meant so much to me. I was told that the massage was $90 and I had to pay for it. She told me to call Groupon, I couldn’t. And she was basically yelling at me that other people have had the wrong location Groupon code and they were able to switch the location so that she could accept it. She wasn’t listening when I was trying to tell her that I got it as a gift so I could not change it. If people have been getting the wrong location they really should know to mention it when you make an appointment for the Groupon. She didn’t. The woman at checkout already had my debit card on file because they make you give it when you make the appointment. I was stuck. And during the commotion she asked if I wanted the membership! No! I was crying at this point and she was yelling at me that my experience shouldn’t go against MassageLuxe, but Groupon. I mean she was yelling! Finally I talked her into charging me $65 +tip. I didn’t have this in my budget so it came out of what I use to get groceries for my family. She was not helpful in trying to find a solution to the problem. I don’t know if she was the manager, but someone should have been able to dude-escalate the situation. Maybe take my money and put it towards a membership then they would have a repeat customer rather than well, this. Whoever made their Groupon listing did not tell them include that you had to go to specific location to use it. I think that is MassageLuxe’s mistake because Groupon just lists it.I hope that after this they remedy this problem and work on their customer service. I was so stressed out and cried off my facial! And I think that because I am not a “new” member that I can no longer use the gift certificate at the right location. I am not sure I would go anyway. It wasn’t worth it. Such a shame because it could have worked out differently.I would recommend maybe finding someone for massage or facial from a local small business owner, and not a chain. They will talk you into a membership that probably banks on you forgetting about your membership and they keep collecting your dues.Hard pass.

Great service! Madison does a wonderful job and I felt rejuvenated and beautiful after she gave my facial. Front desk was knowledgeable and very helpful.

Sara gave me the best facial! It was so relaxing. My skin was glowing for 2 weeks! She’s very sweet and professional and her massage was the best ever! I highly recommend her!

I called and scheduled a 1 hour massage. I got a same day appointment which was great. I was schedule for a 1:00 massage and was told to arrive 15 minutes early. I arrived early as instructed and had filled all of my paperwork out prior to arriving at the spa. My masseuse didnt come get me from the waiting room until a few minutes after 1:00. We went into the room where we did a quick but efficient consultation. I was told he would step out so I could change and get under the covers. He came back in and began the massage. He was wonderful. I soon learned that the store next to the spa is an animal store, so I heard dogs barking for almost the entire time I was there, not exactly a relaxing sound. When the massage was over he said he would step out so I could change. I took a minute to stretch and got dressed. I met him in the hallway and he pointed me up to the front lobby to pay. I was met by a woman at the front desk who kept pushing me to buy the membership, which I told her I would be declining at this time. In all I spent a solid 5 minutes with her, if not a couple minutes longer. After I paid I walked out to my car and got in to see that it was 2:01. My 1 hour massage was 40 minutes at best. Im not one to write negative reviews, however it just seems off that I paid 75.00 not including tip for a 1 hour massage, where I got way less time than I thought I was paying for, as well as listening to dogs bark the entire time. I wont be returning.

Eva was great but I was a little disappointed. Her technique was great but she didn’t have me flip over and the massage was over before I knew it. I talked to my friend and with this being my first massage she told me it’s very standard to be flipped and have the front of the legs massaged etc.

Yesterday was my year anniversary of working at Massage Luxe Ann Arbor. I am genuinely grateful for the people who work here. They are so supportive and understanding. They pay me what I deserve, they let me control my schedule and they treat me respectfully. They’re compassionate and recognize that we are human and sometimes we need that compassion when we aren’t feeling our best. I appreciate the respect and support they’ve given me this past year and I look forward to working with them for a long time.

Hi everyone please dont come here. They r extremely inconsiderate people I don’t care about your time or what you do they just want your money. me and my mom took the day off of work to get a massage and they cancel almost 2 hours before and we work so much and they messed up our day. Like the lady on the phone was not even considerate that we both work and they just cancel like that she didnt even say anything to make the situation better. She just transferred me to another place while I was still talking to her. Please dont go here they just want ur money. I hate places like this.

I love MassageLuxe on Main Street! The front desk workers are very friendly and helpful. The Estheticians are extremely knowledgeable on their craft. Any questions I had about my skin were answered and skin care routine help was offered also! My facial with Farah was extremely relaxing and my skin looked so plump and hydrated after my seaweed facial! I definitely recommend MassageLuxe and will continue to visit myself! Enjoy!!

Have been coming here for a while but just started with Kim E a few sessions ago and she has been AMAZING! I’ve been having issues with my shoulder and each time she works on it, it feels like it’s been factory reset and ready for me to overwork it again! I would definitely highly recommend her especially if you’re looking for deep tissue!

Ive been here a few times. Their location is perfect for me on Zeeb by the Meijer. The therapists are all very good and nice too. They are a little on the expensive side if you dont have a membership.

Ive been going here for about six months now. Boh does a great deep tissue massage. I have a physically demanding job and have been able to find a lot of relief from back pain. The front desk staff is always extremely friendly. Dawn in particular always seams to go out of her way to accommodate any requests i may have! 10/10 recommend Massage Luxe!

I got a massage back in November and the whole service and staff were really friendly. My massage therapist was great. However, after some months I discovered that my card was being charged for a monthly membership. This was really odd because I never agreed to this membership. My boyfriend and I recalled answering “No” to the lady at the front desk when she offered us the membership. After being charged for around 3 months, I contacted them and asked for a cancellation of the membership and a refund. After insisting for about two weeks, I got a reply and a refund. I feel sad because the therapists were great, but I won’t be coming back here because of the business management.

Melanie is my all time favorite therapist! She is super receptive and is always willing to go the extra mile to make sure Im happy with my service! Love this place!

I am not one to post bad reviews unless there are repeated issues that I feel I should warn others about. There’s numerous massage places in Michigan and definitely Ann Arbor and I would say it’s best to consider those and never step a foot in here. This place has been such a scam. I had a family plan active that I called to cancel. I had been charged $20 each month for 3 months although I had requested cancellation. I was told over phone that I would be refunded the money as a courtesy and that my account has been successfully closed without needing any further action. I was never refunded and imagine my surprise when I continued to get charged the next month. I call them again, am told they have no record of my request and that they cannot refund my money. I had not used a single service during this time. They then said I needed to sign a form and emailed it to me— a form they never sent before. The manager Lexi says she spoke with owner who did not feel returning my money back to me was the right thing to do. Instead, they pocketed my money and refunded $20 that they charged me recently “as a courtesy”. I see others have had similar issues with this company. If you want to comment your circumstances/story on this review, we can pursue legal action for this.

Terrible. Unprofessional. A hot mess.The massages are great though. Just poor management.Edit:I was originally a member paying $55 a month about 3 years ago(post-Covid)During the pandemic, the company decided to increase their monthly membership by $15. Although being unable to go during the pandemic I would still be charged $55 per month and I was OK with that. However, I was not OK with a $15 increase. I canceled my membership well over a year ago and I was told by the manager at the time that my card will be taken off file and I did not have to pay anything extra since I did not agree to the $15 increase.Since new management has taken over (in the last three months) my previous agreement made with the manager no longer stands and I would have to pay $20 a month to use my current credits on the amount. Not what I agreed to nor was it going to happen.My account was canceled and I was issued vouchers that expire within 3-6 months (not sure) and yes my remark on the poor management still stands.Personal opinion: customers that were dedicated to the business before the price increases should have still been given their original start-up rate.However everything is stated within their contract, just make sure you read the fine print.

I had a massage from Grennan. He had a very fresh approach that I really appreciated.. He asked me what I wanted to achieve from the massage. I Have been having trouble with my shoulders and neck from old football injuries. We spent the entire session on those areas and I felt great afterward. I have already booked another appointment. Roohee gave a really excellent massage. Very responsive to needed pressure changes even before I had to verbalize. Helpful advice on muscle care for after the session.

All the therapists are knowledgeable about their work. I like Grennan and Kim E. they work my muscles so I can get through a month with very little pain at end of month.

Amazing place and good deals. We are on a family plan for 120 a month which gets you two 1 hour massages a month. If you dont have the plan and want one 1 hour massage it is like 150 so its definitely a deal to get a membership.

While the service may be fine, this is a review on the billing practices of this spa.I called to cancel a membership last month as it was created by mistake and was told they couldnt refund the pending charge that had apparently already been processed but couldnt go through according to my bank for another 3 days. I was disappointed but accepted that I would get a credit for a massage on my account and decided to eat the fee.Today I saw another charge on my card from Luxe. After canceling last month. I called and was told I didnt complete the cancellation even though I did and got verbal confirmation about it.They refused to refund the charge until I threatened getting a lawyer involved.If you go here, pay with a gift card or rechargable debit card. Do not link anything to your bank as they will try and charge you after you have asked them to stop.Find somewhere that values their clients money.

Grennan was a great massage therapist. He was friendly and skilled. I was unsure about having a male massage therapist, but wouldn’t hesitate to schedule with him again. Highly recommend. Management seems to be a bit more understanding now. I wanted a facial and a massage back to back, but I had to get dressed and change rooms in between, which just kind took me out of my relaxation mode.

HORRIBLE MASSAGE. Very rude manager named Stephanie. I would give this place ZERO stars if possible! Worse massage I have ever had in the past 20 years and worst management ever! My massage therapist, who was a guy, did not know what he was doing. It seemed like he was new. It was not relaxing and did not work my muscles at all. I complained to the Stephanie and she did nothing but blame me for the horrible massage. She did not even apologize for the bad experience or have any empathy whatsoever. She was so rude and I will never go back there again.

Recently had a massage from Michael, Ive had a LOT of massages, this was seriously the best massage Ive ever received. I usually get one every month but booked to come back on two weeks. He is gifted at the art of massage.

I dont feel comfortable writing this review but I dont think the hydrafcial should feel weirdly stinging and almost painful during and after the session. My skin feel so tight and irritated, which is very uncommon to hydra facial experiences… my face feel so uncomfortable and cannot use other products and I have to use tons of lotion to soothe…

Amazing place! Everything is brand new and high quality. If you get massages frequently, its hard to beat the membership pricing. I signed up for the 90 minute membership, which gets you 1 per month. Which amounts to hundreds of dollars of savings if you were to just buy them individually. The minutes roll over month to month, so if you dont make it in one month you can mix and match with other services with your credit, or extend the length of your massage.They also have opportunities for bonuses through referrals, which is a nice perk.

I would avoid. They send spammy emails that make you feel like you joined a ponzi scheme. The subscription/membership trial is hard to get out of. The individual business owners seem to have no control over their franchise “system.”

They are short staffed for facials and have very few appointments available. They cancel appointments often. Don’t get the membership!! It is a scam and a waste of money. When you want to talk to a manager, no one returns your call. I have used spas my whole life. Love it! Worst experience I have ever had.

Love the decor, feels like a spa! Ladies were incredible! Jamie was amazing!!! She left me feeling wonderful. Lexi was super helpful and helped me get started on the monthly membership. Absolutely recommend! Love the hydro bed!! Can’t wait to come back!!

Service was amazing. Scheduling, front desk, treatment, that aspect of it was perfect. But when Im in deep relaxation mode mid treatment, and I hear loud barking coming from next door pet supply store, it abruptly and harshly snaps you back to reality. The owners should invest in better noise reduction options. But if you dont mind the barking, the service and treatment here is great!

This is my 2nd day in a row here. Lexi is so professional. Extremely helpful setting up my membership. Alisha did an amazing job on my brows yesterday! This is one of the best massage places I’ve been too. In a while. They are very nice and welcoming as soon as you walk in the door. They have good specials on their massages and the decor is calming and luxurious. Melissa did my massage and it was just what I needed to reset. Be sure to read the fine print when signing up for any membership here. When they sell you the deal they make it sound great ‘cancel any time and you keep the massages’. Lo and behold I did not realize they had a credit that I had replaced and as a result I lose massages that have already been paid for.Scam alert.

I have been a loyal member of MassageLuxes recurring membership since at least 2019 (but I think before that). Today my appointment was scheduled to start at the top of the hour. Around 15 minutes after the start time I went back out to the lobby to ask if my therapist knew that I was there because I was the only one still in the sitting area. The woman said that she would go back and speak with my therapist. At the time that I checked in it was not communicated with me that he was running behind. If it had been then I would have had a different frame of mind.I spoke with the front desk representative when she came back from talking to my therapist and asked if they would consider only charging my membership for a 30 minute session since I could not stay over the end time to get my full sessions worth of therapy. She said that if she did this that the session could not start until the half hour mark and there was still time for a full session.My therapist didnt get me until 20 minutes after the hour and hands-massage time did not start until 25 minutes after. I let him know that the massage needed to end promptly at the top of the hour since I had a commitment directly afterwards. He verbalized understanding. Unfortunately I was unable to truly relax during the session as I was frustrated that I was being charged for the full hour when I wasnt getting the full hour of services.According to the MassageLuxe corporate website: All massage and facial sessions include five minutes before the hands-on portion begins and five minutes after the hands-on portion is over, for consultation and dressing. For example, a 1-hour session consists of a 50-minute hands-on service and 10 minutes of total time for consultation and dressing.My hands-on massage time ended at 10 minutes before the top of the hour. Math isnt everyones strong point, so Ill help out and say that this was 25 minutes of hands-on time. I was back in my car before the top of the hour.During my check out experience, I did verbalize that I was tipping my therapist for the actual amount of hands-on time. This was much less than I generally like to tip.I am researching my options on how to use my remaining sessions on my account and will likely be cancelling.I dont normally take to leaving reviews that paint companies in a bad light, but I didnt feel like I had any other option here. I tried to address the situation while I was there with asking for a fair solution and also with comments to remind the front staff and my therapist that I was being charged for a full hour and not receiving those services.Businesses need to remember to value loyal customers.

I love this place!! I have been getting professional massages for years and I was so pleased with MassageLuXe!! It is conveniently located near me so I wanted to check it out. I wasnt sure what to expect because its a chain, but I was very impressed the moment I walked in. The staff is very friendly and willing to answer all your questions. My massage was so relaxing and well done. The therapist listened to my needs and was extremely caring and professional. It did not feel cold or business-like that I thought a chain might be. I loved the peaceful atmosphere. I will be back!

I recommend a massage from Dom, she is wonderful. I have been there to get two massages from her. I really like how she lets me just get my massage and doesnt press small talk with me. I love talking to people but when get a massage I just like to meditate and relax and she lets me do that. Went and got my eyebrows waxed by Alicia and she was great and seemed like a super awesome person who really enjoyed her job! The front desk has always been helpful and Alexis signed me up for the monthly membership. Love MessageLuxe and their prices for first time members are extremely affordable!

I’ve fallen in love with this place! I tried it out a few months back and decided to get a membership. Danielle and Lexi are such amazing people and always greet me with a smile and great conversation. Dominique is the best massage therapist I’ve EVER had!! I have chronic pain (fibromyalgia) and with the hydro massage bed (that can be used anytime for free with a membership!) and regular massages my body has been feeling way better. I recently also got my eyebrows waxed. It has been YEARS, so I was expecting very angry red puffy skin like I used to get and pain. I hardly felt it and they weren’t red at all! They use amazing products to calm your skin down. Definitely recommend this place to anybody!

Had my second massage here over the weekend! Amazing experience! Jaime was my massage therapist and was amazing! Highly recommend her and will be back! Very clean facility! The heated massage beds are also a very nice touch!

Went in for the first time today for a facial and will definitely be back. Everyone was friendly and the environment is calming and comfortable. The facial was wonderful, and the esthetician gave me a lot of tips to help with my skin concerns and quite a few samples to try. They have some really great deals for first-time clients so check them out!

If you think you dont need a massage you are wrong! Everyone needs one especially EVERYONE. The staff has always been friendly, inviting and so professional. Ive been twice, I joined the club. JOIN THE CLUB!! It is worth it. I feel like a new person, really. Cant you tell, I dont do reviews butttt, I really feel great after my session with Gerald, and Ms. Abby is Awesome!! This place is fantastic! I called for a last-minute massage the other day, and they were so accommodating. My massage therapist was incredible - truly one of the best massages Ive had, and Im feeling so much better. Ill definitely be back - everyone was so kind and helpful, and I feel great.

My husband and just did a couples massage. Tevin did mine and Maggie did his. Tevin was amazing. I felt soooooooo good and relaxed. We were both very satisfied. Highly recommend this place all the staff was very nice. We will definitely be coming back.

Great massage experience—Melanie was amazing! I can’t remember the last time my body felt so pain free. She even recommended some special stretches I can do at home to help with my problem areas.

Where do I start .... googled massage in Ann Arbor, these guys were running a special from Google. I called & they could get me in that day :) location is ideal as I travel that road often. My experience from the moment I walked in the door was amazing, everyone was soooo nice, a little waiting room while u wait for your massage therapist with waters & tranquil music :) my massage therapist was great and exactly what I needed ! When I finished they mentioned some promotions they were running which was actually amazing deals! I became a member for a monthly massage and received other promotions for scheduling my next appt. I received a Birthday coupon for a 60 minute massage and decided to give it a try. Dominique and Melissa were/are amazing doing Deep Tissue. I carry alot of tension and stress in my shoulders and shoulder blades, which have resulted in knots, and I have a history of sciatic pain. They quickly pinpointed the knots, performed some physical therapy stretches to help get my hips back in alignment, and massaged out as many knots as they could in the past 3 sessions I have gone. The subscription DEFINITELY is worth the time, money, and self-love for your health and wellness. The ladies I have seen are very professional, knowledgeable, and experienced. They are caring, pay attention to detail and LISTEN!!! I highly reccomend this location and the ladies I have mentioned, plus, the ladies at the front desk are very welcoming and friendly. They make sure you have the best massage experience and its a relaxing environment.

This review is largely based on the front desk experience rather than the actual massage itself, Ill save that for later. The ladies at the front desk were AMAZING! Easy to talk, to relatable, pleasant etc. The massage however, was ok. Good but ok. Thats it. Not sure if he was in a hurry.

This place is really nice, probably the best place to get a massage in Ann Arbor. The staff and warm and welcoming, the waiting room is really nice and everything is very zen. I love Dom as my massage therapist, she is great at working all the muscle knots out. Its right near Buschs in a little strip mall right on Main. Will be back soon!

I went to MassageLuxe last week on Christmas Eve day, my massage therapist was Adam. Adam is great! He made sure to know what areas were bothering me before he started. He spent the time needed to address my concerns and kept in constant communication with me to make sure I was comfortable. I felt so much better after my massage, I would highly recommend MassageLuxe and Adam!

This place was hands down amazing. I had gotten a hot stone massage & the therapist was super nice & she made me feel comfortable. I enjoyed this place so much I got a membership lol, I cant wait to come back for my facial :)

Had a GREAT massage by Chrysta at Massage Luxe today! Reasonable prices, especially for members but, also fair rates for as needed services too. Very clean. Super professional. Friendly and warm, not pushy on products or membership. I also liked their line of soaps and bath soaks. Facials too! Checkum out! You wont be sorry!

1st massage in over 5 years. Carrie was amazing. Was greated immediately and was brought to the room without wait. Lobby, desk and rooms were spotless and relaxing. Recommend fully and will be back.

While the massages are excellent, the other services are sub par.I got my eyebrows done here (I have been getting them done for 12 years) and my esthetician not only scrubbed at my brows after waxing them, she missed the middle part, and the next morning I woke up to find I had a BURN from the wax. I have now had to call them twice to figure out what to do since I cant put any chemicals that close to my eye. I was promised a call back and never got one, so I called them again with the promise of receiving one later this week.I am beyond furious, I have never had this experience before, and have had 2 massages with MassageLuxe and a membership there, and never had any issue.This entire experience makes me never want to go back and make sure no one else does.

I was soo looking forward to being flipped on my back to receive the full body but sadly we ran out of time cause my back feels amaze balls honestly, I work almost 6 days a week and will definitely be returning here for another one. Very bad service. Misleading advertisement, did not inform me about the cancellation policy/ auto pay. Watch for the fine print. I was told that there is no auto pay and I will not be charged every month. It was supposed to be a one time payment, but kept taking from my credit card on monthly basis. When I went back to them, they refused to refund me. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Worst experience ever. AVOID going there!!!

I called to book a couples massage for my husband and I.. asked for something after 6pm during the week. She offered today at 245, tomorrow at noon and Friday at 5pm. Disappointed in the simple failure to listen to what I was asking for. I booked elsewhere!

The room smelled like cigarette smoke during the whole massage, which was the biggest turn off. I requested for specific areas to not be massaged, however the therapist massaged those areas regardless. Overall massage was subpar. I wouldnt recommend, waste of money.

My wife and I love coming here, it is our monthly escape and recovery. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and the service is a good price. I always leave feeling rested and refreshed.
