Ahava Salon and Spa Appleton WI

I would highly reccomend Ahava Salon! I had my bridal hair done here along with my five bridemaids, my mom, and mother in law. I had my hair mostly down, but all of the bridesmaids had updos. Everyone loved their hair and everything was done by the time they said it would be done by. All of the girls there were so nice and I loved my hair!

I adore Bre and her team!! Ahava was the hair and makeup team for my October wedding! Not only were both teams time efficient, but every single one of my bridesmaids, my mom and mother-in-law had nothing but amazing things to say about their services. As the bride, I had halo extensions. Bre (owner) not only did a color match consultation, but two bridal trials with me to ensure my hair would perfectly match the vision I was wanting to achieve. The hair team was amazing with all the different hair types in my group; thin, thick, straight, curly, frizzy, etc. The makeup team did airbrush, which lasted all night long and everyone loved. I could not recommend Ahava more for your special event or wedding!

I had an amazing experience with Carley on a dermaplane facial service. Carley exudes love, knowledge, and warmth and makes you feel really at home and at ease, even while holding a surgical blade to your skin 😉 Wonderful service. I have also had waxing services with both Mailynn and Kathy which were expertly and sanitarily performed. Ahava is worth a stop for your self-care!

It’s entirely possible that Ahava gave me one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever adorned upon my head. There is a visible wedge where my haircutter simply decided to stop working, and none of the lengths were right after being given a ton of visual references to work off of.The service was poor (the average wait is two hours for a walk-in) and it almost feels like you have no input in the conversation when you finally do get to sit down. For what was being done, the cost was insane ($35 with no extras) compared to what you could find just a few blocks away with significantly better results.If you want a haircut that’ll keep, try Murphy’s Barbershop, Shear Chaos, or if you’re really strapped for cash, one of the mall outlets. All of them will do more for less, and you won’t have to wear a hat for the next few weeks afterwards.

Fantastic manipedi! Great atmosphere, staff is super nice. Amelia is an excellent nail tech and super focused... Ive rebooked with her a number of times now. She gives space for both great conversation and natural silence. And these colors are poppin! Bring on the sunshine, Im ready for summer! ☀️

New to the area and decided to make an appointment with Ahava Salon. Makayla was my stylist. She listened to exactly what I wanted and my hair looks fabulous! She also recommended products and wasnt pushy. Very happy I chose Ahava!

Jensen is fabulous! Someone who is knowledgable about curly/thick hair and how to cut and style it is hard to find. She is very efficient and does a wonderful job. You can always count on leaving more relaxed than you came in. I also really love that she works evenings to accommodate busy schedules! I highly recommend this salon, but especially Jensen.

I had a signature facial with Carly. She is a newer esthetician and she does a nice job. My skin looked and felt great. The products felt nice and were customized for my sensitive skin. I would return.

So so happy with my visit to Ahava salon!! I got a cut and color with Ashley and I cannot say enough about how great the whole experience was! I had a consultation prior to the actual appointment and Ashley was so helpful and listened to what I wanted at both. The cut and color were both exactly what I had wanted and asked for. The color is amazing and my hair is so shiny! She recommended some wonderful products and my hair seem so much healthier since using. Can’t wait for my next visit!! Highly recommend!

Taylor is fantastic. She made me feel like a whole new person. Cut was amazing and the styling was perfect, she even talked me through how to style my new cut at home! I can hardly wait for my next appointment with her!

Both my mom & I have been coming here for years. I see Jensen & my mom sees Taylor. Theyre both GREAT & have always gone above our expectations. Seeing this salon from nearly the beginning to where it is now is amazing. I love seeing small businesses thrive & be successful - even better to be a part of it! Even when my usual stylist was on maternity leave, the other ladies there have helped me and been very friendly!

My Mom, Mother-in-law, and I all had our hair and makeup done for my wedding and I was so happy how everything turned out! Service was great and the stylist and MUA were in tune to what we were asking for.

I scheduled a hair appointment with a stylist I hadnt seen before. When I arrived (on time) the woman at the front desk checked me in. She was professional and very nice. After about 10 minutes of waiting, the woman from the desk said it was going to be about another 10-15 minutes. That was fine. However, 45-50 minutes, from when my appointment was scheduled to start, I was still sitting in the reception area. I went up to the desk to let the woman who checked me in know that I unfortunately could no longer wait (so no haircut). As she was refunding my money, since it was booked online, the stylist came out. She did not say anything to either myself or the receptionist nor look our way. The receptionist did apologize again, refunded the money and remained professional and courteous. I will not be returning for any hair services. *I do love the spa services and the staff they have performing those, so I will return for those*Below would be a 5 Star rating**The owner, Bre, reached out to follow up. She was thoughtful, professional and apologized for what happened. After speaking to her about what I like in a stylist, Bre paired me with Kate. Kate is wonderful! Thank you Bre and Kate!

I love this salon. I’ve been bouncing around the valley trying to find a good stylist for years. Maddy is a magician. She fixed my botched up hair I walked in with and is a QUEEN with balayage.Everyone is so nice, especially the front desk. It’s a very bright, welcoming space. Their shampoo bowls are SO comfortable. There’s a block inside the bowl so your head isn’t left hanging over a ledge and a stool to prop your feet up while getting washed.The owner really cares about her staff members and it shows. They are always doing trainings and expanding their skills.10 ⭐️ experience. I wish more salons operated like Ahava does.

Great experience getting a pedicure and Ill definitely be coming here again. Everyone was super friendly, it was super clean, and it was quiet and relaxing. You can tell they really care about doing a good job and pampering you over trying to get everything done as fast as possible like other places. The chair for the pedicure was a very nice massage chair, I was offered a beverage when I came in and when I left they gave me a little bag with their service menu and some product samples. It is a little more expensive than other places to get a pedicure in the area but with how nice it was overall, it was worth it.

Loved Jensen! Friendly, knowledgeable. Gave great advice. Im only dissapointed they are not taking appointments on 9/2 wanted Jensen to do my hair for granddaughters wedding.

Great salon with a great location. The staff is very friendly and Im always greeted with a smile. This is a full-service salon and you can get your hair products here as well. Manicures, pedicures, facials, microblading, and any hair needs are available.

This salon is so nice. Walking in you are always greeted by friendly staff, it is clean, and the atmosphere is perfect. Taylor is a spectacular hair stylist. She works wonders on my fine hair.

My first time experience here was amazing. The whole staff themselves were welcoming. The facility was clean and modern. I felt very comfortable. I had Taylor as my stylist and she was awesome. She made sure I got what I wanted. I love my new hair makeover. Will definitely be coming back here again.

Im obsessed with massages frommailynn. Best deep tissue massage. Facility is always clean and has a warm atmosphere. Staff is always kind and helpful. Highly recommend for massages.

While the atmosphere is nice, they are not professional. I had to email to try to set up an appointment for highlights because it doesn’t give you the option to online and they never responded. I ended up calling 3 days later and the lady sounded like she didn’t know what was going on, saying she had to ask my stylist if the date and time would work and said she’d call back. Never did let me know. Also, the prices are ridiculously high for an average highlight or balayage. The first appointment I showed her a picture for highlights and they did not blend with my hair at all, so I thought a balayage would help with that 2 weeks later. She still left so many parts of my hair out and charged me $200 for it when it didn’t look that great. There was one strand on top way lighter than the rest and I asked her if she could fix it and she didn’t even try. I thought at the time maybe it would look better after I wash it a few times with purple shampoo but not really. My hair was like 4 different colors that didn’t look well together. Won’t be coming back. Also, be prepared to pay full price if you miss an appointment. Made me put my card into their system to prepay for future appointments just for showing up about 5 min late for a CONSULTATION.

Stephanie was an amazing stylist. I plan to go back the next time I’m in the area. The staff was both welcoming and friendly. The decor was simple, minimalist and modern. Most importantly, though, I felt like Stephanie listened to what I wanted and explained the process in detail before she got started in order to ensure that we were both on the same page. Plus, the hairstyle I received was exactly what I asked for, if not better.

My guy bought me a gift card for V-Day and I was impressed. The receptionist was very friendly, very nice! I love the location and the modern feel in the salon. My stylist was Jensen and she was GREAT!! She fixed my hair and even went the extra mile when I had a concern. I would go back in a heart beat and work with her again!! I hope business goes great for the team holding down Ahava!!

This salon may very well be wonderful at what they do. I am not privy to speak of their outgoing work product. However, I can speak to their professionalism, or lack there of.I was considering this salon for wedding/bridal services. First of all, rarely do they have someone to actually answer their business line (during business hours). I have gotten an answering machine more than half the time I attempted to call with a follow-up question. I left a message or two, but I have yet to hear back from anyone.On the rare occasion that I did get to speak to someone, I was told that the owner sets up bridal party appointments and on-site bridal services. However, after leaving another 3 messages with whomever the individual that answered the phone, with promises that the owner would call me back, almost 2 weeks later I have yet to get a call back.I have been pleasant on the phone and very patient. I will no longer waste my time with this salon. Clearly they don’t need the business. At the least, this salon could show good business practice and kindly follow up with a return call to your clients / prospective clients. Whether you can accommodate the client or not. That’s just common courtesy and a sign of good business ethics.

The first thing you notice is the super friendly and incredibly cheerful receptionist. She really makes an impact on first-time customers (which was genuine because unless she has an eidetic memory she couldn’t know we were first-time customers). The salon has a minimalist style with small and tasteful accents dotting the surroundings. There is comfortable leather seating in the waiting area and soft drinks available to all. Music plays quietly in the background. The salon area itself has modern stations and are spaced comfortably. Stephanie cut and styled my fiancé’s hair perfectly (fixing the atrocious mess the last stylist created). The experience was highly pleasant, so I’m getting my hair done there tomorrow.

I walked into this salon requesting a day-of appointment for a manicure and pedicure, which I knew was a long shot. The receptionist was so friendly, and found an appointment for me for a manicure, but told me she would try to get me in for a pedicure too, depending on the time my manicure finished. I arrived at my appointment time, and as luck would have it, they were able to sneak in a pedicure too! From start to finish, the employees at Ahava Salon were some of the friendliest people I have ever encountered in a salon environment. My manicure and pedicure were both excellent and so very relaxing. I walked away from my experience at Ahava salon wishing I lived closer to Appleton, as I would go there all the time! Thanks for the fantastic experience ladies!

My fiance and I got pedicures from Amelia and she was fantastic! Our appointments were supposed to be one after another, but she managed to take us both at the same time. The salons procedures for COVID made us feel very comfortable being there and we are excited to come again before our wedding!

This salon has an open, immaculate interior, and THE BEST stylist I have ever encountered. Samantha is friendly, knowledgeable, and talented.Having previously gone to cosmetology school years ago, I appreciate when a stylist doesnt try to BS me or fake their knowledge about things - especially when it comes to chemical processes/coloring. Samantha and I discuss my hair goals and what it will realistically take to get there. She doesnt promise miracles, but still manages to exceed my expectations each time! It takes a lot for me to become a return client, but Ahava (and Samantha) have definitely won me over.

BEST MASSAGE of my life. I am currently in my third tri of pregnancy, Ive had a few massages pre pregnancy and a handful while Pregnant. Amanda was my massage therapist, and I just have to say what an amazing relaxing massage I received. She truly listened to where my problem areas were & took her time and had the perfect amount of pressure. I cant wait to go back. The salon itself is beautiful, very clean, and relaxing.

I am a hairstylist myself so I was a little nervous about finding a new hairstylist. Im planning on moving to Appleton and wanted a stylist that was a little closer to home. Thats when I started doing a little research and found Samantha! She did wonders on my hair and I couldnt have been happier! Id highly recommend her. Shes fun and easy to talk to, shes talented and really knows her stuff! You can really tell really has a passion in what she does and I also really admire that. I think I found my new hairstylist!

I felt like the hairstylist listened to what i needed and offered lots of good advice for maintenance. I had quite a bit of damage on my ends, but still wanted to keep some length and she did a great job! She was honest and helpful.

Taylor is AMAZING!!!My friend gave me a bad perm and Taylor was suppose to just look at my hair and see what I needed to do. I knew it was bad and I asked for a cut. Taylor made time to get my hair done and cut perfectly at 8:15pm, they close at 9pm and my hair took a lot and Taylor gave me insight of what to do to help get my hair back to normal.Taylor will be my normal hair stylist!See you in 6 weeks to see if the products are working!Thank you!

As a new client to Ahava Salon the first thing I noticed was how much the staff seemed to absolutely love what they do which immediately put me at ease! Add to that an atmosphere that is stunning, fantastic product selection and pricing that is spot on for the area and you have a 5 star salon!

My mom got me a facial here for Christmas. It was so relaxing and my skin felt incredible afterwards. The women there were also extremely helpful in finding me mineral foundation that matched my skin tone and also gave me a free sample skin care kit.

Amelia was wonderful during my pedi. We had great conversation and her foot message was incredible!! Already have my next appointment booked!

I came into getting a pedicure from Ahava with high expectations. Their reviews online were glowing and I was not disappointed. I have never had a better pedicure and will definitely recommend anyone who asks.

I recently had a 90 min deep tissue with MaiLynn and it was hands down one of the best massages Ive ever had. So happy to have found this little gem of a salon and spa!

The stylist I had spent 5 minutes trying to pressure me to cut more hair than I was comfortable with. It was obvious that i was really uncomfortable with it. I just had to walk out. She was way to judgmental and rude.

I get a facial here every 6 weeks and love it. Not only does it help me to keep my skin clear and healthy but it also a great atmosphere and a relaxing way to end my evening.

Very unprofessional very unhappy I do not recommend this place !!! The first time I went here I chose to go because I read the reviews were very highly I must say the first time I had my hair highlighted and I was more than pleased it was perfect after missing one appointment and being 15 minutes late they made me pre-pay for all future appointments and this next time I have my hair highlighted I walked out unhappy and called back the next day and asked her to redo it I walked in blonde and walked out Very dark brown she told me they would lighten over the course although over the weekend I took a look at my hair and there were patches along my hairline that we’re not highlighted and the roots showed very drastically it doesn’t even look like I gave $300 to have my hair did when I called back the next day to tell him I wasn’t happy and that I would like to come in to have Stephanie redo my hair they sent me a very unprofessional email Stephanie refused to have me come in and redo my hair she did not even contact me after leaving several messages she had someone else contact me back and then they asked me to no longer fulfill my services with their salon just because I was an unhappy client I feel this is a very unprofessional place and I don’t know why people say they’re friendly they Canby except for when you know what you want I don’t see them being very friendly at all I gave $300 for my hair waited two months for this appointment and I’m very unhappy
