I often come here to do a gentlemans pedicure (which recently was renamed) or a deep tissue massage. The spa is always clean. The people friendly and the service is amazing.My biggest issue is that they dont have a mens changing/dressing room. When you come you have to change in the one unisex bathroom that is directly in front of the manicure nail stations. If someone is in there using it or changing you have no where else to go.Also because its a bathroom it can smell.. another thing you dont want to experience right before you try to relax. They need to either renovate and add a mans portion or at least make that bathroom men only since its the only space we have in the entire place.Again overall I like it that issue is what is preventing me from giving 5 stars.
I went here last week for my second visit expecting the same satisfying results for my body massage as I did my first time. The spa was having a customer appreciation event the day I went. I spent $460 (including tip) for a body massage and facial; the facial was worth it! The 50 minute body massage was extremely disappointing. I kept reiterating I need a ”deep tissue” massage and areas of tension in my upper back that needed attention, however, the therapist continued to do her basic massage. Honestly, I could have went to a local nail salon spa where I lived and gotten a much better body massage service than coming all the way here spending this much money.
You expect great service from Red Door Spa and you GET it here. The staff is friendly, efficient, and professional. Its also a very clean, peaceful atmosphere. My massage therapist, Edith T., knows what shes doing! Shes friendly, attentive, and very skilled. But, she doesnt talk a lot to make sure I totally relax and enjoy the experience. Ive been going for years and have been satisfied every time.
Chau provided an amazing facial. She talked me through each of the products she was using (and why). She also educated me on the things I was doing incorrectly with my home skincare regimen and how to fix it. At no point did she try to up-sell me, though, so I left my appointment with her feeling relaxed and educated. Alla gave me the best hot stone massage of my life. I had a great experience at this Red Door location!
I have joined the membership which is hugely beneficial and has me pamper myself at least once a month. Amy in nails will give you a massage that reminds you to set appointment for Julia, who has a beautiful accent and treats you like gold. Then there is Khrystyna for facials and trying to give me the modern eyebrow look. She has become my favorite and I have multiple appointments set with her since in the membership you receive a 15% discount on everything Red Door offers.This is my year to spoil myself and I love it.
I go to this location because of Edith and her wonderful massages. She is so professional and pleasant. She is a miracle worker. I like her energy. I highly recommend her. The location, on the other hand, needs some work. There are no hair products or a decent hair dryer in the locker room. You have to walk through the front desk with you wet hair to get to the salon area to use a hair product. Again, Edith is the only reason I go there.
☆UPDATE☆I am changing my review from a one star to a five. Christina (location manager) contacted us and offered my wife a free spa treatment. My wife loved her experienced and she said the employees were SUPER NICE and professional. We are reasonable people and this was the appropriate way to address our concerns.☆UPDATE☆This is the third time experiencing a billing issue with this location. Do not waste your time with this location. I received a call from my wife asking which credit card to use to pay for the massage. I told her I paid for her services in full. There should be a gift card reserved under her name. I asked to speak to the manager and he began to explain that the card on file doesnt work. I informed him that I dont know what card you have on file; however, I purchased a gift card and he was actually the person I worked with to purchase the gift card. I had to review my email to give him the gift card number. Hold in mine, I gave the representative the gift card number when I made the reservation. My wife is still at the location, sitting and waiting to leave. She is now upset and completely annoyed with her experience. I spoke to another manager and explained our experience and she only offered an apology.
Edith is an outstanding massage therapist. The first time I went to see her, I had been sick and I hadnt been able to taste or smell anything for an entire month. After my deep tissue massage (which included a head massage) with her, when I woke up the next day my sinuses were completely cleared and I could taste food again. She managed to do what two doctors could not. Edith is a miracle-worker and Im lucky to have had her as my massage therapist. The massage was so amazing that I had to see her a second time. She was again able to find all of the tight spots in my back and worked through them. After my massage she gave me advice on how to have the healthiest sleep. She led me to purchase the neck pillow, back heating pillow, and muscle gel from the Red Door store at the front to help improve my quality of sleep. She genuinely cared for my well-being and expanded my knowledge on healthy self-care. I would definitely recommend her to all of my friends and family.
Fantastic signature facial! As an ardent Elizabeth Arden follower I was sad when I heard the brand was shutting down. The chain of spas was now replaced with Mynd Spa & Salon.Nonetheless I ventured out to see what would happen and was impressed! My signature facial was every bit as good as the original Red Door. The aesthetician was wonderful and fully adhered to my sensitive skin requirements! High professional service and same beautiful atmosphere. Yes I’m going back - my birthday’s coming up! 😊😊
This place is not cheap. It’s nice that you get a comfy robe to walk around in, but the “mini” facial and massage were NOT worth the price. They barely did anything during my massage. I’ve had better for half the price. Then, I had my facial and all she did was rub a bunch of product on my face. The one thing I appreciated was she gave me a little feedback on how I wash my face. When I left, they tried to sell me the very expensive products she used during my facial.Do not waste your money!
Booked several appointments at Pentagon City Red Door for my wedding. Initially I just chose them because they take Spafinder gift cards, but Im so glad I did. Their facility is clean and has all you need for a relaxing spa day. I get massages with Edith, who is a pro at relieving all the tension in my back. I also really enjoyed my facial with Chi. She gave me some product recommendations that have made my skin so smooth and radiant! The products at the spa are top of the line and though theyre pricy, you can get 15% off if you join their rewards program, which is absolutely worth the price of admission for the savings you get. Im completely addicted to Red Door now and look forward to going back!
I visited the Red Door Salon and Spa, Pentagon Row on December 12, 2016. I was happy to receive an appointment since I made the appointment same day. The massage I received this day was amazing and much needed. The therapist was very pleasant and nice. This was my first time receiving services at the Pentagon Row location. Overall I was pleased with the massage. What I was not pleased with is there was no male changing room. Upon my arrival, the therapist was going to allow me to change privately in the massage room, but I asked if there were other accommodations. She mentioned there was no mens changing room and I could change in the restroom. I was a tad shocked. Thinking Im getting ready to X amount of dollars for a massage at a Red Door Spa and am having me change in a restroom but I said okay. In the restroom were two lockers and inside the bottom locker there were male accommodations (male robe and slippers). Although the Pentagon Row location is a smaller location and may not see many male clients, there should be a small room, besides the restroom, for men to change. I can only imagine if someone had used the restroom prior to me changing what that experience could have been like. If you are going to offer mens services there should be a comparable area for men to change and store their garments.
I visited the Red Door Salon & Spa for the first and it will certainly be the last time-Ever. While staff was welcoming and nice, the tech was the complete opposite! She did the worst job I have ever seen done on my nails. I could have done my nails myself and they would have looked so much better. A decent manicure (which was my least expectation from a place that gets so much hype and good reviews) should not take a choppy and rushed 10 minutes and I shouldnt have to dry my own nails!! Again, if thats what I wanted, I would have done my own manicure at home and not come to this place and spend $30+ on a manicure. Such a disappointment! while attempting to work on my nails, Wendy would get up and leave me sitting waiting for the next step in my manicure. I hated the experience at this place and I left very unsatisfied and went home to retouch my poorly painted nails. VERY disappointed!!
Everything about my visit with the Spa was amazing from the very moment that I walked in. My massage and facial were very relaxing, and I absolutely LOVED my manicure and pedicure from Saina. I am sending my mom here so that she can have a great experience as well. I am visiting my mom in Virginia, and I seriously wish that there was a Red Door Spa in Alaska where I live. The atmosphere, customer service, and the services that I received were wonderful.
Kay was very calming during my facial & explained all of the steps when she noticed I was a first timer.Marco was fantastic with makeup tips & teaching me how to apply it myself. Very clean relaxing atmosphere, with a friendly staff. Was wary of going because of reviews I read on this location, but my experience was great & I will definitely be going back.
I got my hair cut and colored at the Red Door. The stylist Isra Anderson did an amazing job on my hair. She understood exactly what I wanted and made great recommendations about my style options and now I absolutely love my hair. I will use her again and 10/10 would recommend to a friend.
UPDATE: No contact from management as promised. So disappointed in the entire service from Red Door!I have mixed feelings about my first visit to a Red Door salon. I was prepared to spend a little bit more for my haircut, but certainly not $80 for short hair! The best part of my visit was my manicure. It was very difficult making this appointment. There was initial confusion about the type of appointment I had booked. I specifically requested a cut/style when making the appointment over the phone. The stylist thought I was getting a blow out! Information had to be repeated several times during the initial phone call. My cut/style appointment was even reconfirmed, by me, the day before. Be prepared to guarantee your appointment with a credit card. Sadly, I doubt I will be back. Its just not in my budget to spend so much on a haircut for short hair!
I loved my hair stylist Hiba. It was the first time I met her and I really lucked out.she was away on maternity leave for a few years and just got back. She works Saturdays and every other Sunday. I had my haircut and blowdry done by her. She was very thorough abs made sure that she wasnt cutting too much. You could tell she had lots of experience. When I was laying back and enjoying the head massage she was letting me have quiet time. But when she was cutting my hair we chatted. She picked up on when I wanted to talk and when I wanted to relax. It was easy to work with her because of that. Sometimes I feel like the stylists Ive worked with either talk too much or they dont talk enough and I feel uncomfortable telling them that I dont like something. She was the best stylist Ive ever worked with and Im definitely going back!
Massage was great and Darlene was excellent. Beautiful and clean facilities. My one complaint is Please buy larger robes...they were uncomfortable to lounge around in. Spa robes should feel soft and luxurious. The robe felt like cardboard and was form fitting.
I used to go here, but have since left last year when my hair stylist & colorist left. Each time I went back, there were less and less clients (very different than when I started going in 2007) to the point where I was the only person in there for two hours, which was odd to me (and a sign the business wasnt doing well). I dont know what its like now at 2019, but its a shame its not the hustling salon it used to be. I will say the salon was very comfortable, chic, and clean. There are little touches that make you feel pampered, no matter what service you are receiving. I cannot speak for the current services there now, as I have left.
I had my hair cut by Sharon from Nottingham on New Years Day. I am from England too so it was a lovely surprise to have a fellow Brit as my stylist. Sharon was so kind and careful and cut my hair beautifully. I honestly cant remember ever having such a good cut. I have had loads of compliments and am just thrilled with it. Her cut even made the Balayage I had done in the Fall look great, when previously I had not been in love with it. I have moved a lot and its always so hard finding a hairdresser in a new place. I have definitely found mine here and cant wait for my next visit to Sharon!
A bit on the pricey side, but not completely unaffordable, the Red Door spas are the perfect place to go when you need a little TLC. I got a manicure there the other day for the first time, and was very impressed. Atmosphere: relaxing, yet classy. Service: exquisite. Friendliness: unforgettable. Ill definitely be returning here and giving my friends gift cards for their birthdays.
What an amazing massage therapist ! I would say RUBY is one of the BEST MASSAGE THERAPIST in the area at Mynd Spa. She’s very professional and her unique technique ! She always starts by asking what you’d like her to focus on and the pressure that you needs. She traces muscle tension and give the right pressure to work out my knots or tight muscle you have. Now that I had her massage I can’t imagine going to someone else.
I came here first with a gift card and Ive been back on a few subsequent occasions, each one being fantastic in regards to customer service and the massage experience.I highly recommend the desert hot stone massage and Alla as a massage therapist. Ive tried 3 different massage therapists at the Red Door at Pentagon Row and she is definitely my favorite!
Twice A year I have the pleasure of having a two hour spa session with Ruby Creed. I have been a client of Ruby’s for 10+ years. Ruby provides one of the best experiences you can imagine. Her full body massages leave you relaxed and ready for a nap. Her body scrubs exfoliate and stimulateYour entire person. Experienced the worst time at this place. Some lady named Keisha was so rude and cold. No manners. Never have I ever been treated this way. Made me feel very bad.. my boyfriend was with me as well, he noticed her rude behavior... I Have gone to so many salons and treated so much better. I called and spoke the manager Alice, she was very nice and offered a sincere apology. Will not be returning to this place because of my experience.
If I could give zero stars I would. I have never given a negative review, but my mother is a cosmetologist and I have seen her have to spend hours repairing shotty work. So you all deserve to be warned! One of my close friends went here over the weekend for full foil highlights, the stylist was rude, and in a rush, she didnt fold the foils the highlights were miss placed and SO BRASSY it looked like a box color from home gone wrong. IT seriously looked like yellow/orange stripes all throughout her hair. After washing she didnt glaze/tone the hair at all, didnt dry it, didnt even part it, she combed it straight back and said your good to go! They charged 230 dollars for this INSANELY bad color. My friend left crying walked across the street to the Ulta salon and spent 4 hours in color correcting services. The hairstylists there say they have numerous walk-in customers every week from the Red door needing serious corrective services. IF you are planning on getting color and want professional service save your money and your hair and avoid this place.
Joli was 30 minutes late to my appointment. No one came over to let me know that she would be running late - I was just left to wait. I was also quoted $85 over the phone, and was told upon checking out that her rate was $110. Ridiculous pricing, considering that all I needed was my ends trimmed and bangs redone.Just go to Bang salon if you want a haircut. I do not recommend Mynd spa.
I had a deep tissue massage and got extra help with my shoulders and neck and hamstrings -I feel and look refreshed and tension is totally gone. I didn’t have a facial but I look like I did. I also got a manicure and it’s absolutely perfect! Looks like a hand model’s manicure!
Its an Elizabeth Arden Spa, so you expect the spa to be at a certain level and it doesnt disappoint on any count. I was attended to by a masseur called Edith and I cant thank her enough and this review is about her.I had a painful knot in my neck, upper shoulder area for the last month and it was refusing to heal. It would get a wee bit better but simple weight lifting exercises (I have a separate shoulder issue and need to strengthen it with 2-3 lb dumbbell exercises) and long hours at the computer aggravated it again and again. I cannot take a long leave of absence from work, so have changed my work chair, installed monitors and am focussing on posture, desk ergonomics but this is a case of locking the stable doors after the horse has bolted. I decided to give Red Door Spa a last shot to see if localised massage would help destress my back.Edith was amazing. She understood the problem, both the manifestation and the source and worked on those areas. That was the first night I slept w lesser pain than usual. I went back again and she healed it a little more.This is the Red Door at Pentagon City. So if any of you are headed to this location, please ask for her. And did I mention that she had worked in a physio therapists office before?
Ive been an Avenue member for about a year now. This place gives the best facials ever! There was a hiccup w/scheduling my most recent appointment. Alice, the manager, quickly rectified the situation. This place is the epitome of quality service but, also of great customer service.
I first visited this RDS as a gift, then again as a gift. Then I was addicted and have been returning every month since.I highly recommend their Prevage skincare line & facials.Facial: Their tables are heated to perfection and so plush!! They also contour to your liking and can be adjusted w the push of a button :) Chau is knowledgeable, friendly, and overall has a very welcoming vibe about her. Chau is service oriented. I was having particular trouble with my complexion and had tried one previous red door spa tech (sorry I forget her name!), Kimpton spa, and the Vida spa techs. After a visit with Chau I saw a real difference. Chau also offered a holistic approach- offering ideas such as eliminating soy, dairy, and some shampoos. Increasing my vigilance during and after my long runs in regards to my faces health. Chau performed extractions and told me every step of the way what product she was using and its intended effects. As a bonus Ive gone home with several samples from Chau. Chau is the first to warn you when shes using a $150 sunscreen on you- so you know when you leave if youre going to purchase it just be ready for the $$$ to pop up, lol. Her shoulder massages are almost my favorite part of the entire experience. My absolute favorite though- the results!! Shell even make a phone call 2-3 days after the appointment if youve tried a new product or skin regiment to check on you. I swear by their cleaning products and sunscreen / anti aging line.I highly recommend you visit Chau.A make up refresher is always complimentary after certain facials and Adey is amazing!! She is so nice and professional. I swear by their tinted moisturizer.Massage: I would not recommend Blondell. The deep tissue massage was my first. I informed her of this and would really expect a technician to be more communicative throughout the process or at least the beginning. Find out my areas of soreness, previous injury, concern, desire of focus points. Most of the massage I spent in excruciating pain and the level of work wouldnt be adjusted she would move on to the next area which was disappointing because I want my shoulders worked on, I just dont want to feel a sharp pain in my chest while youre doing it! She barely touched my legs and turns out thats where I need it the most as a woman addicted to running and leg workouts. Like I said- would *not* recommend.Parking: The parking is easy enough - complimentary 1 hour of parking throughout Pentagon Row. I always park in the underground large garage. If you look for Navy section H thats where you want to park! The elevator will take you within 10 yards of the entrance to Red Door Spa. The payment is not validated BOO!! (normally $3)Ambiance: This location has improved drastically over the last 8 months! The front desk staff are much friendlier and more attentive. The dressing rooms and relaxation lounge are cleaned much more frequently. The dressing room is small but it gets the job done. 1 bathroom, 1 sink, 1 shower, 1 vanity, 2 dressing rooms, 20 lockers all within 300 sq ft at the most. ! Always clean (minus one or two used glasses) The robes are plush and the electronic locks work great on the lockers.The sitting room has three couches which quickly become cramped if there are 5+ guests waiting. (Rare) There are fresh apples, crackers, tea, coffee, water, and coffee. Its very relaxing. The front desk staff always offer to serve you, if not it is self serve. No children allowed!Noise: The walls of the rooms are surprisingly thin. On one occasion (late night weekday) I could hear a loud, laugh filled employee conversation going on. I mentioned this to my masseuse but all she did was agree with me about the disappointing distraction.Overall this spa is a 5 star experience and well worth the price.
As a first time client, I’m so happy I chose to come here! Such a great staff, beautiful establishment, relaxing, and Chistina was amazing. She explained each step, and gave me recommendations for products to maintain my facial afterwards. I will definitely be back, hopefully once a month. A huge thank you to you all!
Nice and clean spa. Friendly staff. I got disappointed tho. They were 15 min late with my manicure and pedicure,was charged 3 times for a long wear polish instead of 2 ,asked for square shape nails but got something totally different and later in the day I did some dishes and the polish started peeling off. I came in to the spa because of a much needed relaxation day. I want to start off with expressing my gratitude to the front desk staff, particular Josh, who was extremely welcoming and helpful in anticipating all of needs after I checked in with a short waiting period. Their friendly mannerism was definitely appreciated.Next, I scheduled a manicure session with Saina. Saina is my go to person for all of my nail perfection needs. She is meticulous and makes sure that my nails are always in great condition. She always provides great nail care advice and patient with all of my questions.Lastly, I had a facial with Khrystyna. She is professional and amazing at her job. I was extremely relaxed and Khrystyna is great at knowing what my skin needs and never recommends more than is necessary. It really shows that she cares about her clients. And that is exactly how I feel about the staff here in making sure that I am taken care of and I am greatful to such excellent service!
Just got my hair cut with Irsa and it was a lovely experience! She understood my hair, the style I liked, and didn’t push me to change/add anything like I have experienced in other salons. It was a relaxing and luxurious haircut, and I will definitely be going back to irsa!
Based on a review, (the one below mine) I moved forward with a coloring. As a result, I was disappointed. The amount I paid for a coloring, I left with dye on my ears and the back of my ears as well as on top of my head. Pretty unprofessional as I expected the best as its red door. The colorist tried cleaning it off and admitted that she should have added more of whatever they use to prevent such stains but as a professional, I trusted her. Additionally, I was told that I would get a complimentary make up so I tried it and left looking like a clown. So much caked on that it was obvious that I had a ton of make up on.
While I do love the Red Door Spa, this location gets only three stars for two major reasons:1) For the price you pay at this spa, they SHOULD validate parking. There is no free parking at this location.2) Also for the price you pay, the waiting room is small and unimpressive! The snacks are also limited and cheap! All they have are those Delta Airlines cookies and the occasional apple or banana. It would be nice if they had better snacks and beverages.Other than those two gripes, the staff is absolutely lovely and I always have a great service. I am sorta a “spa snob”, so I expect more for the high prices you pay at Red Door Spa.
I went in with damaged, bleached hair with about 4 inches of natural growth at the root. I wanted the bleached portion to be filled and colored to match the root, a mousy brown. The goal was to have a close of a match to my natural hair color, but all over. I worked SO hard to not touch my hair after bleaching it. I let it grow out to add length. I was using conditioning creams to repair it. I was babying my hair for months and months with this plan in mind. I showed the girl a picture of long, light brown hair. I came out with short, dark hair. Ive cried the entire day. It looks like I have a wig on. The cost was unbelievable. It was more expensive than my monthly car payment and I absolutely detest it. If you were to take my hair off and put it on a mannequin, it would be a nice hair color/cut for somebody. But, it is so cookie cutter and everything I did not want. I will be spending a million more dollars trying to fix this and wait months and months to grow it all out again. Theres no courtesy to what I wanted, what I showed the hair stylist. I wanted to keep the length that I had so badly. Its just shattering. I am so, so, so disappointed. I wish I never made the appointment. Ill be regretting this for the next 6+ months.
The service here is phenomenal. I had Hope Spinner as my massage therapist and she was truly fantastic. She went above and beyond taking care of me. I will definitely be back to see her again. Thank you Hope!
Appalling customer service. Ive never written a review before but felt compelled to say something about my horrific experience with Red Door Spas customer service. It was Christmas Eve and I was in a pinch and needed a gift for my sister. The Red Door Spa at Pentagon Row was near her work so I purchased a $130 gift card, enough for a message. When I gave it to her on Christmas Day, she said that she didnt want it.So on December 26, I called to ensure they were open. Their recording said they were open. When I arrived around noon, the door was locked. I called one of the numbers and was told they were closed on Tuesdays due to construction. They took my number and said that a manager would call me first thing the next day. No one called me back so I returned on my way home from work. Once I explained my situation and presented my receipt, the gift card, and my credit card, they said they couldnt give me a refund due to company policy. This was a complete surprise to me since the sales associate never told me sales were final, especially for a $130 Christmas gift like this. Its not like I received a deal of any kind. Since they were unable to provide me any meaningful justification and said that no one was there with the authority to do anything, I asked for numbers to their corporate offices.After calling the gift card services line, the employee Cammy was pleasant but said they had no authority to make any adjustments to gift cards purchased in stores. Are you kidding me? The gift card services line cant address issues with gift cards purchased in stores? So I was routed to Lavan with guest services. After numerous voicemails and unanswered calls everyday, she still hasnt called me back. By Friday, she changed her voicemail to say she was out of the office. While that mightve been the case on Friday, I was told that she was definitely in the office the other days. She simply chose not to respond to a guest, despite being with guest services.If I eventually hear back from Lavan and they provide me with a speedy refund, I will update this review. In the meantime, proceed with caution if you need to interact with Red Door Spas customer service. Other than a pretty smile, this company seems to lack any professional training in guest services.Its especially unfortunate because, for a place thats specialized in promoting relaxation, theyve turned my Christmas week into a stressful nightmare. They really need to hire someone from the likes of Amazon or Nordstrom. This would never happen there. Lesson learned.
Things you should know before I start my rant:- My best friend is 9 months pregnant- I myself havent received a wax in months whereas my best friend is a regular waxer in NYC.- Her cousin recommended The Red Door Spa. Not this location just the company as a whole.- Also the location that is online is incorrect. They need to fix their address because you will be late/lost if you havent been to this location beforeOk. So the Brazilian waxes are 77 dollars which to me is pricey when in NYC I can pay 50 dollars for great customer service and quality/fast work.The first receptionist that greet my friend and I was great! A young black beautiful friendly female. No one else greeted us.The ambiance was beautiful!! However once the female brought us in the back to change into the robes and slippers the two waxers came in and said no you dont need to change into robes. We can start you nowAfter feeling rushed! I went ahead and didnt change.My waxer was great! I loved her.Into my wax my pregnant friend (9 months) texted me and stated she was aggravated. She was aggravated because her waxer started her wax and DID NOT FINISH. SHE TOLD MY FRIEND THAT HER NEXT APPOINTMENT HAD ARRIVED AT 5:30. SHE TOLD MY FRIEND TO COME BACK AT 7pm! THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE.Once I was finished with my wax I went to the front desk and seen my best friend with a look of disbelief that she had to get off the table with a half waxed vagina so someone else could receive their full service!I was livid.WE SPOKE TO THE RUDE, GLITTERED EYED GENERAL MANAGER (dont understand how she is a general manager but anyways) AND SHE OFFERED 15 dollars off a 77 dollar service that was not worth a penny.That was a slap in the face.The minimum discount should have been FREE or at least 50% off.That placed will never receive my money
I went to Red Door for a Mani just to see how the experience would be. I was treated like I bought a package deal. I loved the whole experience. I highly recommend going to there for whatever you need. I am spoiled I wont go anywhere else now. I am so happy to recommend them to anyone. Im heading back for a spa day and cant wait! Very good, enjoyed my manicure and pedicure immensely. The nail technician was courteous and worked on my nails until they were perfect. The neck pillow helped some stiffness I had in my neck and my hands and feet feel soft.
I’m not happy with my experience in this place , I went there with my friend to do facial for his face , we called them and made appointment with lady on phone she was very nice and helpful, the price was $150 and we were fine , my friend has no idea about this stuff I took him there because of the reviews was really good , after we finished they charged us extra $100 , the lady she did the facial for him said that he asked her to do some more stuff for him , I didn’t argue with them and we paid the money , when I asked him if he really asked for extra work he said I didn’t say anything to her she lied and I don’t knw what she did , plus they charged us tips twice , so basically they steal our money and fooled us . It was the worst experience ever , we will never go back there . I give 2 stars just because of how clean is the place and nice atmosphere.
I’ve been going to this spa for years, it’s my favorite. Ruby is the best massage therapist, especially for a deep tissue massage. I also love getting facials here too. I’m always so relaxed when I leave.
Ive been to this location serval times for massages and facials, so I decided to try a spa manicure and pedicure. Im 9 months pregnant and have some swelling in my hands and feet so I thought this would be a nice treat. Unfortunately, there was no massage involved my nail technician just rubbed lotion on and wiped it off with a hot towel. I was left with paraffin wax on my hands and feet for about 10 to 15 mins. The spa is nice and relaxing, but you are paying twice as much for a mani/pedi than you would at any nail salon and not really getting a spa experience. Its sad but because of this experience I dont think I will be going back to red door for any services in the future.
I stopped here for the first time only to visit my hair stylist Isra. The salon was very clean, professional, nice looking yet approachable. The products are high end as well.As for my cut and style - I have long, thin, straight hair (but a lot of it). I met Isra about 3 years ago after I had a disaster of a haircut and she FIXED it! To give you an idea - I had hair down my back and I decided to chop it shoulder length. The first person I went to (at a school) did a horrible and embarrassing job, I went back to try to get it fixed by another student I guess and it was still ugly as ever. lesson learned - you get what you pay for. I stopped by and Isra did her magic touch and it was exactly what I had initially wanted. Now that my hair has grown out, it often gets flat and has no volume. She manages to somehow create volume with this hair and always leaves it looking incredible. If you are in need of a hair stylist, look no further. Isra is your girl!
I wont go anywhere else for a massage or facial then at red door spa at pentagon! their staff is amazing and cater to your needs. I have been going to Anna for a number of years and can honestly say she is the BEST at massages and facials
Place is well organized, neat and clean. The employees are very respectable and kind. The service is outstanding and very professional. I just noticed a problem with transparency and front desk management at this location. Don’t go to your appointment late because they will charge you the FULL amount you came for even if you don’t receive it! They also don’t send a text message or email reminder for your next visit. I don’t think I would have came late if this service was made available.
My body treatment was both relaxing and informative. Edith knows how to make you feel like a queen for the day. From beginning to end (personally checking to see how long before my next service and glass of cucumber water waiting) amazing service. Book Red Door, book Edith
The worst haircut & blowout Ive ever experienced. Cost $100, worth $20, its Haircuttery quality. The Stylist however was very nice after she burned my hair.
I got a manicure (with Ugi) and my hair colored, highlighted, cut and styled (with Hasiba). I was extremely pleased with the service and results of both. I normally dread taking the time to get my hair done but I feel like a million bucks, and will definitely be back!

I got lucky to find Isra to cut and color my hair after we moved from Houston to Arlington. I had the same amazing hairstylist for 18 years and was nervous to make the change! Whew, Isra loves her craft and it shows. She listened to me carefully and looked at my photos and nailed it! I am so grateful!
I got a cut and color. After my hair was rinsed, the towel was removed-that was it! I didnt want a blow dry but left without my hair even combed out. Awkward to say the least. For two hundred dollars you would think they could take the time to comb your hair. I wont go back. But I did get free water, what a treat!
Spa has a same-day cancellation policy where they will charge you if you cancel the day of the appointment. I got sick the day of my facial, and I was told that I would still be charged the money for the appointment since I was cancelling day of. Fine then, but they have lost this customer.
The environment is so clean, serene and amazing. The staff is accommodating and professional. I went to Amy for my wax and she was so professional, skilled, friendly and kind. Will be going back to her again and again!
I just went there for the very first time and I AM NOT HAPPY! Spent $180 for partial highlights, gloss and single process color. I expect a blow dry but it will be an additional wooping $35! Really?!! I dont see any difference on my hair. I dont see the effects of the gloss. My hair was way better before I walked jn there! The other salons, $180 can get you a nice highlights and when its done, your hair will look like youre ready to join Ms. Universe!!This place, you will only pay for the name. The service is bad and not worth a dime!If only I can do a no stars, it would be that.Dont come to this place. They will drain your wallets.
Ive been to RDS 3 times now, and enjoyed every time.They have recently redesigned the waiting room so that it is much more comfortable.One thing I do not like are the body / fashion magazines strewn about the facility. They should be replaced with travel or other non-self-conscious reading material.
I had my hair colored last week with ISRA. She did a great job on my hair. This is my first time, a friend of mine recommended to requests ISRA , and I’m very happy with the outcome.I’ll go back again.
While I have not yet tried the services at Mynd, I have tried their CBD products and they are truly amazing! The CBD bathbomb will relax your body and make you totally forget Calgon ever existed. It is a very relaxing bathbomb that is not as costly as a traditional massage but still give the most relaxed outcome 😊
I only use Joii King! She is among the best stylists in the country. As long as she is at The Red Door, that is where I will go to have my hair shampooed, cut, blow dried and styled.
Would not recommend this location-the waiting space was not stocked with tea, lockers were broken and services subpar. Facial had one mask and the technician spent the rest of the time sniffling from a cold. Gave it two tries but neither visit was worth the price.
I had an apt that was moved due to scheduling issues- they were not able to do my scheduled mani/pedi I was only able to do pedi, which is inconvenient because now I have to go else where for a mani... when I arrived for my apt I waited 25 min to start! The pedicure felt rushed and the massage was only about 4 minutes, I felt like I couldve gone to a regular nail shop for the quality of the pedi I received tonight unfortunately I would NOT recommend nor will I go back:( $70 and not fully satisfied - sorry red door
They do an excellent job for thick Asian hair. Isra does a great job. Very solid and thorough manicure for men. Will repeat for both services.
I had a great experience with Linzel Levine who was attentive to the areas on which I needed the most work. He relieved the muscle pain I had in my neck by massaging and stretching out the muscles. He was very professional and I walked out feeling a lot better than when I walked in. Thank you Linzel!

Edith is by far the best masseuse I have ever had. She is so knowledgeable about human anatomy and extremely nice person. Highly recommended.

Chau is a great facial expert, she goes beyond the service provided and gives you great recommendations on how to take care of your skin after leaving the spa.

I am celebrating my birthday weekend this week and I called to make an appointment for a facial and massage. Unfortunately the person on the phone was super rude so I ended the call. I’m very disappointed. I was going to try Bethesda which I’ve used many times before but since I’ll be in the area, I was looking forward to trying a new location.
Jill Levesque is a fabulous colorist and Clinton is the best stylist around. The entire team is warm, professional, and highly skilled.
I had been here before when it was Red Door and I have to say the atmosphere is much more friendly and approachable since the brand change. The recommended products also seem to be more reasonably priced.

This particular Red Door Spa is not my favorite (two stars), but stylist Jessie is the best (six stars).
I really like the atmosphere and I’ve been very happy with most of my services. I would recommend this spa to my friends and I plan to go back sooner than later.
