The Frederick, Maryland location was closed without notice. I had a prepaid membership. I called corporate and they redirected me to Jennifer Feeney, the franchise owner. Jennifer promised I would receive compensation for my membership via a check in the mail within 60 days. We are nearing the 120 day mark and no check. Jennifer no longer responds to emails and I bet I will NEVER get my refund. Absolutely unprofessional and ridiculous.
This company loves to sell you a membership. However, when you can no longer use the membership--saying goodbye is not pretty. I have received bills long after my membership has been canceled. The bills are credited, everyone is sweet and then the bills start up again a year later. I had to cancel my entire credit card in order to stop the fraudulent charges on my account that might have gone unnoticed during such a stressful time.
I am incredibly disappointed in LaVida and the way their franchise runs their business. I was a member of the Ferndale location for many years, paying hundreds of dollars yearly for a membership. When the Ferndale location closed, without warning. I was never reimbursed for the six remaining massages I had (almost a $300 value). When I called the franchise they refused to reimburse me monetarily or with gift certificates, claiming that they had no affiliation to the Ferndale location. I have a hard time understanding how this can be true since I am sure the FRANCHISE has received some sort of monitory supplement from their many locations I am extremely disappointing in the way La VIda handles their business. I will never visit or recommend any of their locations ever again. I only wish I were able to give 0 stars.
Very pleased with the service and cleanliness of the LaVida Massage Centers.They are dedicated to finding top-quality staff and many locations offer more than just massage. I’ll continue to use them.
Horrible company. The location in Onalaska closed unexpectedly, as in no notice. I was left with gift cards that are now worthless as the closest location is minimum 5 hours away. I called corporate. They could track the purchase of the cards but would not refund a cent. They feel bad but cant do anything.
Very difficult to book a massage due to staffing issues. No flexibility on the monthly contract even though they recognize the staffing issues. Save your money and find somewhere else
LaVida is awesome. I try to go once a week as it really helps my back and I sleep better. One of the better day spas I have ever been to.
I cant say enough nice things about this company. They are amazing to work with and I highly recommend their products and services!
Had a bad experience at the spa in my shopping center and now cant get a person to answer the front desk support without getting disconnected.
