Late night game hunts always gets me somewhere interesting. This store is basically a shared store, with classic, retro and current games and collectibles in the front, and the party for vape entheusiasts in the back!Didnt get to find anything truly exciting, but I did find a rather uncommon release of Kemco RPG Selection for the Switch. So this place is definitely worth looking into for you gamers out there.

Love having such an awesome game/vape shop in Brighton! I’ve managed to score some really neat collectables here as well. Their vape juice selection is one of the best in the area. They’ve always been very patient and helpful. Their retro games/systems stock can vary depending on what gets traded in. It seems like they’re very careful about what they’ll buy and are diligent to avoid reproductions. Everything I’ve purchased here has worked flawlessly. Trade prices are fair. Also I’ve managed to find brand new special edition physical games here (indie and jrpgs), that I haven’t seen elsewhere. They’re family and pet friendly! Overall highly recommend Game Trader!

So cool to see this place is still running strong, I use to go here when I was a kid. Nate is a stand up guy and has always been very fair and competitive with his merchandise. I still have my old fallout 3 poster he gave me in my collection. You cant have brighton without the game trader

This is such a welcome surprise in small-town Brighton. We spent a night up here coming up from Denver and were really delighted to stumble upon this place. Tons of cool rarities and old games, this is an awesome place to kill some time at. I especially appreciated the classic player guides. Ill definitely come back in the future.

So I had been going here for about a year I and a half I purchase my weekly vape juice bought my refillable mod and even purchase Avalanche vs Boston Bruins tickets I drive an extra 10 minutes to get here I even left my last vape store and was loyal to this store well this weekend I purchased a candy king juice that was expired called before I went in talked to the owner he told me some story how the vape juice is like wine and there is not expiration date when clearly on the bottom of the juice it showed 6/19/2023 there is a reason they put a expiration date they dont just do it because they want to I explained i wanted to swap it out first off he was very rude hung up before I was finished talking no goodbye nothing so I go into the store he continues to argue with me trying to justify it was 2025 when clearly it was 2023 just yap yap instead of taking responsibility for old products then slammed the pods I purchased and the juice on the counter and told me I dont want your business and not to come back the owner is extremely rude all I have to say is dont waste your time shopping here go-to a vape store that is respectful honest and doesnt sell old products and instead of taking accountability wants to argue its not worth the headache and to be this rude to a loyal customer is just plan stupid if I where you I would spend your money with someone who will appreciate your business and have good customer service WARNING STAY AWAY SELLING EXPIRED PRODUCTS AND IF YOU DO SHOP HERE CHECK THE DATES ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️

I have been coming to this vape shop for years the owner and the employees have always been professional with me and all the customers that I’ve seen in the shop as the same time as me I’ve been a long time customer and supporter of this vape shop if there’s a juice you want but can’t find you can always count on this shop to try and find it for you they also educate the public about the products they carry and also educate about the laws and new regulations that come out there on top of it unlike other shops that only want to take your money and move you out the door they’ve always put the customer first and truly go out of there way to make you feel like family I would recommend this shop to any game head or vape head that reads this they have excellent products in this store The people that work in this store are a pillar in this community so thank you for always being professional and courteous I can always count on you for great products and great education when it comes to the vape community and gaming community thank you for being the number one shop In my book I can always count on gametrader and it’s employees to do right by me

Absolutely love and have gone here since highschool circa 2008-2012, but Ill say 4 star because the vape juice part is a bit on the expensive side compared to most places. Other than that theyll meet your gaming needs and vaping needs pretty impeccably. Highly recommend. Staff is friendly and helpful always.

Absolutely love everyone there! They treat so many people like family. Unless I absolutely have to, I will never go anywhere else. They are really knowledgeable with vape news as well as any type of games. WIDE varieties of video games, board games, card games, and then the same with any vape products. I have been technically going here for about 7 years. Started just selling some game stuff when I was 16-17, came back for vape stuff when I became of age and stopped going for about 3 years because of a moving situation. Now that my job is in Brighton, Ive been going strictly for about 2-3 years.

Seamed to be a pretty cool place! Theres definitely a ton of cool stuff, and the staff seemed really nice! A touch less organized than other stores Ive been in, in the trading cards portion, but its still a pretty sweet lil shop for gamers!

Paid $120 for 4 disposable vapes. 2 of them died within 100 hits each, less than 4 days after purchase...nearly the exact same time. I would be very cautious purchasing disposable vapes from this store.

I have shopped here for the past year and it’s a hit and miss. Sometimes I get good products sometimes I get products with juice spilling out of them. Recently had to replace my mod and went in. Didn’t even make it to my car and figured out the mod was unable to hold juice. Let them know, stated they dont return products. I needed to call the manufacturer. I called them they told me the store should of replaced the unit. I will never return to the store as you can only be wronged so many times before your have to cut your losses.

Tons of games old games parts parts for games systems T-shirts memorabilia - you name it. The owner is such a nice guy and his helper or manager is also so knowledgeable. Please go and get them all the support and purchase tons from them this Christmas. Your kids will thank you and the community will Thank you. Parking is not the most available so try the back.

Ive been going to The Game Trader since I was a kid buying pokemon cards and video games, I love this place.They have Great customer service and are very knowledgeable on the game and vape side. I quit smoking cigarettes because they helped me get started on vaping. 3 years later and Ive never felt better thank you so much Game Trader. I LOVE YOU GUYS, You will always have my business!

Ive been vaping for well over 8 years. Ive gone to do many vape shops and 9/10 they always give really bad customer service. Not at Game Trader! John, Donn and Nate (Store Owner) always, I mean, A L W A Y S, have provided me with the utmost, sincere and honest customer service! Whether its about needing a recommendation on a new juice based on my flavor profile preference or asking about the mods and tanks they offer for sale. I literally stopped buying from other places and completely stopped buying online because of them. And, Im happy to support my local vape shop! Keep doing what you do guys! Youre the best hands down!

I showed up here to get some coils for my tank after calling and the guy didnt bother to tell me that masks were still required but just a couple weeks ago my cousin and I went in and bought 3 games without a mask and had no problems. I think the guy just didnt want to deal with anyone so he sent me on my way. I will not be back to this store customer service is seriously lacking.

Do not buy vape products from here go to alpha star Vapes instead. Iv bought four vapes from here and three were broken. Game trader said they couldnt do anything it was up to chance. I bought a mod from here wich was also broken and they said they treat it like medical equipment so wouldnt do anything I was stuck with it. They have continued to sell broken products and do nothing about it.

First of all, its amazing this business survived the decimation of small business during the pandemic.So congratulations to Game Trader.Ive been in this store a few times, the prices are fair, and selection is okay. I rate them a 3 however based on their customer service. Which can be great with one employee and absolutely awful with another. Ill follow up my rating if anything changes...

I have been buying video games here since i was 8 years old. That being said, this is honestly the best vape shop i have ever been to. Friendly and helpful staff. Legit the best selection of juice ive seen. Love this place. ❤️

I have been in Game Trader several times, I have never had a bad experience!! The prices are Very Good to Excellent, The knowledge and advice is always honest and accurate, and above average, better than the corporate stores. The Owner has always stood behind anything he has ever sold me and given good value when I trade items in. Support Local Growth! It may not have all the perks of some of the big name stores, but the service and knowledge you get in exchange are a amazing trade off. Excellent store, with video games for virtually every console under the sun. The staff are all very knowledgeable, friendly and professional.And the Vape shop is one of the best I have ever been to with a wonderful selection of mods, tanks, and vape flavors. Any Question that I had rather it was dumb or smart they answered with nothing but the utmost respect and professionalism, they have earned my business thats for sure

Went in there today March 6th to buy vape juice and all I can say is that the worker I was dealing was super customer friendly! The employee was very knowledgeable. I didnt catch his name but he was an older gentleman. I was the one in the black motorcycle suit. He may remember me. Nate give this guy props!

I have been going to this store for all my vaping needs for the past three years. Theyve always been kind and courteous, and even go out of their way to show me better builds and new inventory- but not in the annoying, pushy, upselling way. I saw the negative review from someone below me and I just had to say something. Ive never walked into anyone smoking hash or ANYTHING of that sort in the store and I couldnt imagine the owner putting up with someone even trying to. Ive gone in with my kids and they dont even vape around them. The store is the best youll find in the area, probably one of the best in Colorado for vaping but thats all I buy there so I dont know about the games- but theyve got a huge selection of those too.

Purchased a Juice Head 5K from this place and after opening the vape. The casing was drenched in juice and the vape was broken. After asking for an exchange they said they don’t get reimbursed for broken vapes.

Customer service was 5 stars strong. But their prices were pretty crazy. Unfortunately I will never go back. I spent almost 160 for just two games for the ps4. And I ended up finding the games for way cheaper new and all somewhere else and when I asked about the return policy for unopened games that purchased a day later they said I could only get store credit. Lol no thank you.

Great small business. Very friendly, answered all of my questions. Some people commented negatively on return and trade policies, and having worked retail my whole life: These policies make sense! You dont want to take back consumables (vape products) unless you have a claims department. Which no small business can really retain. And you dont want to accept trades on games that will not sell. But their policies are clearly displayed, so you know what youre getting into. Which I appreciate. Id rather a well displayed strict policy, to a lax but non informative policy.

Great place to buy new or used games, they also sell vaping products which is very nice. I bought my first vape there and it helped me quit smoking cigarettes. The staff are friendly and helpful and will explain how games are or information about vape products. The also have card tournaments which are awesome and get intense

They had what I needed and were easy to deal with. It is a small town shop but still worth going to. They also have a vape shop in the back of the store if your into that kind of thing. They hold magic the gathering tournaments there also and have a space for that.

This place has a wide selection of games for older consoles. As well as a large selection of E Juices, vape mods, tanks and other accessories. The staff is very knowledgeable on all aspects of their merchandise and make excellent suggestions in regards to them.

So Ive been in here quite a few times, and after the last time Ill never go here again. I take a game for $4.99 up to the counter to buy, after standing there for a good 5 minutes the clerk says he can sell it for $25. It had been on the shelf for the past 2 years at $4.99, Im sure as hell not going to pay more than double what its actually worth and obviously no one else is even willing to buy it at $4.99. They price games off eBay, and not even by sold prices but by buy it now prices. For $25 I could have easily bought the game factory sealed on eBay. They have no idea what things are actually worth, probably because theyre using eBay/Amazon to price items. $80 for an Nintendo 64? Thats $50 more than what you can easily buy them from down the street. I know because I buy them, and sell them, constantly. I dont even know why the price anything in there if theyre going to look the price up on eBay before actually selling it. I could understand pricing games at actual second hand market value, but charging 3-400% is asinine.No reason to go in here when you can get games for a fraction of the cost and better customer service online.

They have new and use games for all sorts of consoles. Playing cards with MTG matches always going down. Plus, my primary reason for going in is their vapes, accessories and juices. Any questions on products can be answered by the super knowledgeable staff.

This is my local go to store. Im a gamer and a vape customer. Most of the guys are super helpful and on point with their knowledge about gaming and vaping. Ive never seen anyone here smoke hash or anything other than Vape so idk what the issue was with that other review. I will mention the pony tail biker should work on his customer service skills but other than that all the other guys are pretty cool. Nate is super helpful when needed as well.Support your local business!

I love going to game trader for all my vape supply. today they let me slide with 1 dollar or 2. they took care of me there. the only thing that messes with my head is, i will always go to this store no matter what for vaping product. the customer service is great. but, i hate that feeling when i walk in and everyone treats me like that one mexican guy that comes in trying to be cool with people. thats my only down fall here. i want to stay a loyal customer but its a lil weird for that one reason. >.>

Vape city...I understand its your choice and your business, but God man. It was like walking into a Haunted house it was so foggy. They got upset at my kids because they were complaining about the Vape. In all fairness, I was completely unaware its a vape store. I assumed games only, so thats on me.Selection was okay, but prices seemed like they bought a title full price and sold it at that price regardless of age of title. There were a few rarer titles, but I wasnt helped at all. Their magic selection was nice. Overall... Disappointed. I hoped it would be a local gem, but its more of a turd. Maybe I got a bad experience. If I find myself alone and some time to kill Ill wander in to see what my second thoughts are. I personally would make it more obvious its a vape store that also sells gaming stuff.

The Game Trader provides an atmosphere that is warm and welcoming. Its nice to see they provide tables for people to play Magic.

I usually stop in for Funko Pops. I know its not their main thing but they always have a small but decent variety to choose from. They also have tons of video games and vape supplies.

There was a guy named jon that worked there. Very helpful when it came to picking out a new vape. He talked us through beginner vape setups all the way up to expert level vapes. Definitely coming back because of his customer service

Been shopping there for 18 years. This is a good place. Much better than the big corp stores. This place gives kids a place to hang out and play cards on some nights as well. 15 years+ ago I remember the owner giving away poke mon cards to kids that didnt have money like the other kids. they will always have me and my families business.

I absolutely love game trader. They have a vape shop in the back and the people that work here are so amazining. If you vape I highly recommend coming here. They have a huge selection of mod boxes and juice. They are very knowlagdeable and will help you in anyway they can and will answer all your questions. I will never go anywhere else.

Pretty great locally owned store. I love their selection and whenever I have gone in to get a game, if they didnt have it they called someone and made sure that they received a copy. I really like going here because they will spend as much time as needed to help me find the game that I want. Many people dislike the store because they can not accept every game like Gamestop. But thats how it works. Game Trader will give you a great deal and they have amazing customer service. It is my first stop for Videogames.

Not impressed with customer service. It felt like I was interfering or bothering the man who helped me.He sold me on a Aftermarket ps4 controller, & against my better judgment I bought it and hate it. My only option is maybe to return it for store credit, but the lack of customer service makes me dread going back. If prefer to keep the piece of cr@p they sold me & lose out on my money.

I have shopped at this store since it opened but unfortunately the store seems like a shadow of its former self. The owner Nate runs a good store when he is there but when his son is there or his friends the professionalism that you would expect is not there. I actually walked in to buy a game and one of the guys behind the counter started telling me the story line and then the ending even after i told him to stop. I dont think its a bad store but i do think that if you want a respectable store with a friendly atmosphere , then having sarcastic smart asses is not a good business move ,your customer shouldnt feel like a burden when they walk into the store because they are asking about a game.

Very helpful and even has a gaming area...say what they are so helpful with trying to help you stop smoking and will ask you about your smoking habits and recommend you the best option to slowly kick your habits thanks to those guys wow now I feel strong enough to kick my cigar smoking habit

Good place and great deals, they price match Gamestop and also have a huge selection of ejuice and vaporizers. Try their house blend unbirthday cake, its like loosing your virginity.Also to the guy below me he said you get a full refund if it doesnt work, its not their fault your TV is incompatible with older systems.

Always love the game trader here in Brighton CO, its likely the best game trader Ive been in. Its atmosphere and climate is chill with a hint of genuine professionalism. Meaning I go there for my needs, if you vape you can get that there too.

I suppose its okay. Its nice to have someone greet you when you walk through the door but they dont stand up in your face and follow you around waiting for you to buy something like other stores do.The only issue is just prices. They should definitely do limited time deals.

A mix store of video games and vape accessories and smoke. Though not a personal fan of the latter, they make a clear separation of the two venues.Though the video game section had less than desired, they did have any harder to find pieces of work, such as one developed for the Sony PSP.

I was skeptical about a vape store in the back of a video game store but they have some high end mods and they store coastal cloud juices and they switch their stock up with variety 5/5 stars there’s basically nowhere else to get vape juice minus ordering online so this is the go to spot

This is my one stop shop, they have all the newest video games and all of the stuff for my vaping needs. I started vaping to get off of chewing, and game trader has the best selection of video games and vaping I have ever seen. Every flavor I want plus more and every video game I want plus more. People think that the video games are just a lure to get young kids onto nicotine, but all employees check everyones ID and dont allow youngsters to do anything but buy video games. On top of all of the selection at game trader, all of the employees are super friendly and take the time to know you on a personal level. I find my self going in for one thing and staying for hours just because of the awesome atsmosphere. Do yourself a favor and stop in at the game trader.

They have all kinds of video games and play Magic the Gathering on Fridays. I felt like the stuff was more involved in The Vaping Corner then the customers looking for video games. As I do not vape i found it off-putting that they Vape continuously while people were in the store.

Great store with a wide variety of video games and a small selection of board games and magic cards. Will take most used games, that can be used for store credit or cash. Definitely prefer this over GameStop.

I recently went in to purchase a NES (thats right an old school 8bit awesome box). While at check out I asked the person who was looking up prices of games 2 questions. 1. Does this system work to which he said yes, and 2. If it does not work can I bring it back for a full refund to which he said absolutely. Great paid for my merchandise and left the store, and was thinking this is a cool store I will come back.Went home hooked it up both by RF and AV and it was not working. So I called the store. I asked if he thought it was the games or the unit, He told me it was my TV and the system does not work correctly due to coding issues with an HDTV. He suggested I get an old school TV to go with my old school gaming system. I told him I really did not want to bring a TV like that home and asked if I could return the system. At this time he said we do not do cash refunds and only do in store credit. I was floored, I said to him I asked you when I was checking out if I could return it and you told me yes, why would you not tell me I could only get in store credit then? His response was silence. I also asked him why he would not tell me when I was buying the system that it would not function correctly on an HDTV he responded with silence again. Needless to say I was not happy and said ok then and hung up. That night I went and found a large old school TV and brought it home. Hooked up the NES and low and behold it still did not work.Today I brought it back to the store, I explained what happened and I explained what their employee did and said. Despite admitting that what he said was inaccurate and wrong they refused to stand behind their customers mistake. The told me it was posted all over the store that there were no cash refunds. This made me smile because on my way into the store I made sure to look for signs that said no cash refunds. There was 1 sign in the whole store and it was behind the counter with a TV covering the bottom with a piece of tan paper covering the rest. Completely out of view to the customer (I was going to take a photo of this but decided I just wanted to leave. I did have both employees in the store verify that the sign was covered from view and that there were no other signs that could be seen anywhere else in the store). They then told me well it says on your receipt that we do not do cash returns, to which I told them I did not receive the receipt until after I purchased the item and was very specific to ask if I was able to return the product for a full refund before buying it. Needless to say they refused to offer me a cash refund. I really did not want a cash refund I wanted a Nintendo, but I also wanted them to stand behind their products and customer service and offer me a cash refund to which I would have declined and asked them to give me a working Nintendo when they get one available. Instead I am home with a $70.00 gift certificate (which I will sell to someone for $60.00 if you want it), writing a negative review online about a store that I will no longer go to because they did not do the right thing. I considered going in on Monday and personally talking to the owner about this experience which based on previous answers would be what any reply to this post would be, but them politely telling me that even though their employee was wrong to say what he said, I am still stuck in the same situation is just not appealing to me. I have my wife who can verify that the above details of the purchase and questions are 100% accurate and true.Also 2 store employees who would have to our right lie to say my return experience and their not so clearly displayed return policy as I described them in this post are inaccurate. Last but not least as I do not wish to return to this store if you are planning a gaming purchase and would like to buy my giftcard because this review has not dissuaded you from going there to shop then feel free to contact me.

Not impressed with their customer service. Very short and abrasive made me uncomfortable to ask questions about my vape. Then was sold the wrong coils for my vape. I will not return there and recommend others not to by their vape there.

This place was literally my childhood and its cool cuz you can still find all kinds of video games but now that vaping is a thing thats part of the store too they hold some cool events for gaming dorks and its been a cool place for as long as i can remember

Do not buy vape mods here I bought 2 and both were defective they said sorry we can’t help you and referred me to the manufacturer. In my mind if you sell something that doesn’t work you should get a refund or in store credit in the least.

FOR PEOPLE ABOUT TO PURCHASE GAMES FROM THERE BE AWARE OF HOW THEY TREAT DEFECTIVE GAMES.TL;DR They will not accept returns and issue refunds unless it’s store credit. So if you want one game in particular and they don’t have a copy then you’re out of luck and stuck with a defective game. Issuing a refund for a game that costs a mere $14.99 should not be that much of an issue. I will likely not purchase another game from them knowing that they may sell me a game that doesn’t work and not stand behind me as a customer at their store. Sorry Gametrader.At first I debated giving them three stars. I do like that they host games for the community and for the most part the staff is friendly, but this review is rated and based on how the Gametrader in Brighton handles returns and defective games that they sell.I was looking for one game in particular. Batman: Arkham Knight for the PS4. I called Gametrader and they told me they had one used copy of the game. So I went down and purchased the game for $14.99. That’s not much for a game and it’s a decent price.I got home and put the game into my PS. An error message popped up telling me it was unable to read the disc. So I got back into the car and headed back to Gametrader. A staff member cleaned the disc and tested it on their PS. It seemed to fix the issue. I headed back home and tried to play the game again. The game played for five minutes before the same error message popped up. I decided to call this time before heading all the way back across town. At first I was told over the phone that they can’t issue me a refund and that they’d take my name and phone number just in case someone else came in to their store and traded that particular game in, or I could get a store credit. Immediately after, someone else got on the phone and told me that they did have another copy of the game. I went back and picked up the other copy of the game which worked fine.If they didn’t have another copy I’d be stuck with the defective game or $14.99 in store credit. How does that help someone who wants just one game in particular? Sure, that could help someone that isn’t too specific in what games they have, but it would have screwed me over. And that’s why I gave them two stars. Refunding $14.99 shouldn’t be an issue especially when they’re the ones that sold me the defective game in the first place.

Dont ever sell your items here. It is basically GameStop prices. Buys something for $5 and then sells it for $50. JJgames will buy stuff for twice the value and they pay for shipping to downtown Denver. Got offered $10 here and JJgames offered $100.

They make even Gamestop look good. Extremely rude service if your not into Card based Games. I walked into their twice, seeing if maybe the first time was just a bad day for them. The first time I walk in was around 5pm and I just bough a PS4 from Walmart since they did not have one, but tried to support a local store, so went into Gametrader in Brighton next to the Boost Mobile and wow, disgusting, the store reeked of pot coming from the game table, the sat there at the counter for over 8 minutes, until some guy was like I guess I better go help them and seemed pissed he had to egt up from his Magic Card game, I asked about a few games and he knew NOTHING, I mean nothing on upcoming PS4 game dates, or anything, after a few minutes he RUDELY replies, well when you make a decisions let me know, then walked back to his card game !!! I took my 5 year old son and left in utter assessment.3 days later I try one more time, I call and ask if they match Amazon and Walmart on game prices, they said yes , so once again excited to get a game I went down to get INJUSTICE, and once again reeked of pot in the store, and a guy kept smoking his e-cig style pipe the ENTIRE time with my 5 year old son there !!! He also bitched and complained at having to match the 40 price, he kept me there, calling Walmart for over 9 minutes cause he said the website had to be wrong !!! Then complained again about losing 3 bucks on the game !!!There pries are WAY overpriced, I would strongly suggest as much as I would hate to say it, to try Walmart or Target as both with immediately math Amazon or online pricing as long as you pull it up on your pone or at target they check it on their computers. Then bam, no hassle, no bitching.The store is only for Magic card players it seems, they will only talk you if you play card games !!!STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS !!!

I have known Nate for years and he is a honest business man. He has always exchanged something that was broken or didnt work without question. The game trader has the best prices, collection, and trade in value in town.

Really good magic/video game store to check out in Brighton. They play modern every Friday at 7pm, with decent turnouts normally. They also have a ton of video games from all consoles worth looking at too.

He has ripped us off everytime we have been in there. he has sold us the wrong thing and when we take it back he says that we need to buy something else that costs less and he will only give us store credit. he tried to sell us a 360 docking station with our ps3 controllers and it was only after we said no that he realized it was a 360 thing. i think he knows what he is doing and he is burning the locals.

Mostly just a vape shop with a game store attached granted they are pricey with some games that arent near the price you would fetch at other shops they do have some nice surprises.

Prices are high and very rude, the majority of their customers are kids and there also selling nicotine, so pretty much their selling games to bring in kids and get them hooked on nicotine. NOT COOL!!!!

Bought a bunch of games and cashier decided to change the price on one of the games because it had an old price tag, it is your job to change the price tags when they need to, he didnt want to honor that price even though I was buying like 6 other different games, thats not a good customer service especially when you are trying to support a small local business, you wont see me again anytime soon...
