Cozy bar to grab a few drinks with a really nice outdoor space. Rated food 5/5 but they do not serve food, instead you can bring food in from anywhere which is a great compromise.The bar has a lot of events including Billiard tournaments if you’re into that.Very LGBTQ+ friendly!!!

Ive been drinking in Brooklyn for 25 years and this is my favorite place to do it. Always a friendly spot, and a pretty good place to watch folks shoot pool. 2 for 1 happy hour is a steal any time, but the fact that its also on weekends makes you think maybe youre in Narnia. And should an odd number of drinks fill you up on a particular day, theyll let you keep your chip, and get a free drink next time. I mean, come on. SJs 4eva.

BEST DRAG RACE WATCH PARTY!Favorite gay bar in Brooklyn! Friendly servers, amazing drag queens, good & decently priced drinks. We love the chill atmosphere. Totally unpretentious. Bartenders Josh & Natalia make you feel like a regular even on your first visit. Bertha Vanayshun is the best drag race host I’ve seen in the city. Will always be my go-to spot!

Ive never has a bad experience here and always leave with smile. The bartenders provide excellent service and the people that come are friendly. Its a great place to find community and see beautiful queens perform.

Very nice bartender with clean atmosphere. My big problem was the beer tap was needing some TLC and you could taste the stale beer that was setting in the lines. I hope the owners address the situation soon!

I had the BEST experience at Sandy Jacks! They literally have the cheapest drinks and best happy hour deal Ive been to. I really dont think theres a cheaper option in all of NYC! On top of that, the bartenders were super sweet and the regulars at the bar taught me how to play pool :) plus its dog-friendly! Such a fun and welcoming environment overall. Everything you could want in a bar, I cant wait to make this my regular spot!

In addition to having the best happy hour ever, I recently had the best private 30th bday party I could have asked for. Quick stop to end the night. Had a house beer on tap recommended by the bartender. It was cold and rich in flavor. Great music. There was a trivia night before I came. Maybe I will head back on a Thursday night for it.

Owner, you are a Liar!I left an honest and accurate review of your bar (Dirty with a old/bad pool table) your childish response in an attempt to deflect from your own shortcomings.Your entire staff which consisted of 1 bartender and his dramatic girlfriend did absolutely nothing good or bad... which is probably why the bar and bathroom were so nasty. You over served one of your little regulars to the point he could barely talk his friend will call him regular with the glove had to babysit him the entire time I was there. I watched him walk his friend to the back for a nap and bring him Waters pretty nice guy. We played a couple of games of pool everything was fine joked about how I accidentally won the last game but I had to leave my friend was already outside and didnt want to stay so he offered to buy me a drink and went to the bar to get it.I stayed at the pool table talking to another older guy when his drunken little friend woke up from his nap stumbled down that one step pushed all the balls on the table (didnt matter the game was over) and started throwing his temper tantrum screaming first to Rack them then that I won then thats my friend older guy went to the bar to get his babysitter I let it go at first but I eventually yelled back and defended myself. Regular with the glove came right over put his little buddy back down for the rest of his nap came over to me apologize profusely for his friend shook my hand reminded me he bought me a drink apologized again and said goodbye older guy ask some stupid questions like what happened he was right there calmly walked to the bar. Your entire staff was behind the bar pretending to be on the phone in an attempt to ignore me or the situation. I asked why he was upset with me? he said he didnt want any troubleI asked him for my bill told him that he could just ask me to leave he said okay I asked if I could finish my drink . And the shot the guy bought me he finally looked at me and said yeah I signed my bill Calmly walked out order Chinese food right next door ate the Chinese food went to See Which and left that review.

Coming here has been the best experience for the area. The bartenders and atmosphere are nothing but incredible. The bartender Josh makes amazing drinks. This bar has one of the best local watering holes in the are. Rustic and vibrant. Willing to lose a game of pool or play they got you. Mike and Kevin the owners; can’t ask for more.

Amazing spot! Bartenders were awesome! Venue was dope. They had a pool table inside. They were playing sports games on the TV and movies on the other ones. They have an outside backyard patio area for dining and smoking and dogs are welcomed. Drinks had great prices and music was great as well.

Really friendly staff and fellow patrons along with good drink specials (tall Rolling Rock can and a shot for $10) and draft beer selection. They also have pool, a back patio, and a cardboard cutout of Adam Sandler.

Recently at the beginning of the summer starting coming to sandy Jacks now its oretty much home. Great drinks, great staff, great people. Kudos to the owner Mike dude runs a top notch establishment. Best spot in....greenwood heights? Im sorry I still dont know what to call this area anymore lol. Still doesnt change the fact that this is the best spot on 5th ave...and the next best part? Right across from Luigis pizza!!!!

First time there and it was a chill vibe which is all you can ask for in a neighborhood spot.Great happy hour because every happy hour should begin at 3pm. And props to any place that opened during the height of the pandemic.

Its a little tight at the entrance where the bar is which made me feel claustrophobic (more than other bars do) but it was a nice bar with friendly staff so you cant ask for much more than that.
