Pure Qi Spa

This place doesnt deserve to be called Spa at all ( reffer to my pictures). After reviewing their reviews, I expected nice place with cosy interior, warm beds, relaxing music and professional massage. I didnt find it here.The room is very small and has an old bed fixed with tape, no warm sheets, towels look like they were washed 1000 times, annoying music from cheap speaker with very bed quality of the sound and etc. This place needs to be renovated asap.Be ready to pay $120 + tax for 90 minutes massage and dont forget to leave at least 20% tips ( it stated on their website, you can check it yourself ).I would definitely not recommend this place!Receptionist is talking to you with some attitude, probably she is the owner of this place.

Went here for the first time with wife for a birthday treat and we did a combo deep tissue, foot massage, and facial massage.Friendly staff, and very skilled masseuses! They were very good and finding my knots and using the right techniques to relieve the tension. Foot massage was also very well done. First time facial and it was interesting.Management was very thoughtful and explained the services well. Ensured we had a good experience.No frills Asian massage places can be very no frills and very cheap, but we enjoyed the little things included to offset the slightly higher price here such as heated beds and warm towels.

I am extremely disappointed with how management handled the tip portion of my experience. I enjoyed the incredible service of the package; however, coming to my car, sending me texts and calling my phone about a tip is disgusting. There were technical issues on their end with Venmo, which fine what ever … but as I am going about my day to receive MULTIPLE texts and then phone calls about a tip is insane. I Ofcourse tipped as I said I was when I had time to do so, but to chase me this way is unprofessional. I will not be returning.

I am so grateful to have found Pure Qi Spa!! What a gem! I am in my third trimester and am feeling many aches and pains - particularly in my hips and feet. I was looking for a couples package to end our urban babymoon mini getaway on a rejuvenating note. The staff was responsive to my online inquiry and provided a detailed text of their recommended options. When we arrived, the staff were welcoming and gracious! The masseuse were very attentive to providing a relaxing and therapeutic experience! They ensured my positioning was comfortable and safe during the experience, and the deep tissue massage on my hip area was like oil for the gears - my creaky stiff joints feel so much better!! If you’re sensitive to pressure the deep tissue approach will not be “relaxing” in the moment but for me the temporary pain was worth it! The leg reflexology was also incredibly healing and relaxing for me. My husband also got his knots untangled and felt great. And their rates are very reasonable and 100% worth it. This team is skilled and great at what they do - if I was local I would absolutely be a repeat customer.

Great neighborhood asset, everyone is very friendly and professional. They have reasonable pricing and do an amazing job, I have been coming here for years. I have been to fancier spas and have had terrible massages, but they know what they are doing here.

Recently had a 90 minute massage here and it was wonderful. The spa is clean and relaxing and the staff are friendly. My masseuse had a strong hand and I had to ask her a few times to go lighter, but it was definitely a great massage. Felt rejuvenated and relaxed. Their prices are reasonable too.

This spot is a gem! One of the most reasonable prices for a massage in Brooklyn. I always ask for Helen when I can, she is so talented at deep tissue massage. I always leave Pure Qi feeling zenned out. Her hands are magic and if you work strenuous, long hours on your feet she is your go to for helping with your stiff muscles. Also great for if you are an athletic person who needs some decompressing after some hard work outs! Thank you Helen!! ❤️

Been going here for years for a range of their services — from facials to massages to (more recently) a body scrub. A treasured gem, reasonably priced, and good opening hours.

The massage was great and hot stones is for sure 100% recommended. The guy in the front pressures you about the 20% tip which makes it completely awkward. I most definitely will not go back because I would feel like I won’t receive the same service again due to not giving the “recommended 20%”

Had a great experience here! I normally don’t do well with massages but Tracey was phenomenal! I felt very comfortable and she applied just the right amount of pressure, making sure to check often if it was alright. She was amazing and the entire experience overall was nice, will be coming back!

I’ve been coming to Pure Qi for 4 years now! It’s the only place I trust to wrangle all the knots in my body.All of the masseuses are so kind and professional- the space is so clean and quiet, the front desk staff are always so hospitable; it really is worth every star.

Had an amazing massage and detox massage facial - both were amazing! Perfect pressure during the entire massage, very thorough and in tune with what my body needed, and so relaxing. Was promptly brought back to my room and got the full time allotted for both services. Very friendly man greeted and checked me out too, fantastic service. You will be glad you came here.

Went there to unwind with my fiancé since we’d been having a pretty rough month. The customer service was good and the massages and facials were decent. The one star is because of the pressure to tip 20%! I asked to be charged 15% tip and the front desk said they recommend 20% and started explaining salary and commission for his employees. How unprofessional is that!! I honestly should have left without tipping after that but I was just so tired after a long week that I said okay to 18%. We will NEVER return.

I highly recommend this place, very relaxing atmosphere from start to finish. The gentleman that greeted us was very nice and accommodating he makes you feel right at home. I had made an appointment for 5pm we arrived on time and immediately placed inside with our respective masseus. The ladies are very good at the massage I had the 60 minutes deep tissue message, I have to say I came out a whole new person. Go book yourselves an hour or more here you will not regret it. I will definitely be back.

If youre looking for a good massage this is your place. After a lot of research into spas in the area this place stood out on a few review lists. Its competitively priced while still maintaining high quality. Their facials are also lovely.

I came because of a friend’s recommendation. Massages were decent but nothing special. I certainly felt relaxed at some points, but the pressure was very low and I didn’t feel enough attention was paid to specific body parts that tend to be sites of tension, specifically my back and shoulders (which I mentioned Id enjoy special attention to at the front desk). The facilities were not very clean or welcoming. Bad lighting and dingy shower situation, etc. My two star rating is mostly because my package included a mud wrap, which is highly restrictive (can’t use limbs at all), and the weighted heated encasement was turned up way too hot for me. Unfortunately the language barrier made it difficult to communicate with my masseuse, and I was stuck in the wrap for much longer than comfortable, due to the fact that she needed to use the front desk person as a translator. Overall this was a very mixed experience. The massages are fine. I’d hesitate to return though.

Been here many times for massages and usually have a great experience. One of my go to places for a massage in Brooklyn. Not all the bells and whistles of a high end massage but overall just as good.

We booked a couples massage, facial, foot massage and had a fantastic time! The space was clean and comfortable, prices were reasonable, and the masseuses were professional. Buying everyone gift cards!

What this place lacks in fancy atmosphere it makes up for in quality massages. I came for a 60 minute massage and they were very accommodating and kind. The space also felt very clean and sanitary. Can’t wait to go back!

I called up the Pure Qi Spa and easily set up an appointment. The customer service is impeccable. When I got there, they were clean and well managed. Temperature checks, keeping masks on, etc. I got the deep tissue massage. It was amazing. The massage therapist was stellar. If I ever need a massage, this is my go to.

Amazing customer service, its pretty quiet on the inside and they do their best to accommodate your every need. Great massage options depending on what youre looking for and they dont harass you for a tip. Tip what you like above the standard price and have a great day. I did the 60 minute full body anti-stress massage and it was fantastic. I will definitely return here again to try their other massage options. They accept credit cards.

Ive gotten a massage and facial here. While both were relaxing and nice, the facial was just okay. I didnt see any great or remarkable results the day after, but it got the job done, you know. Would skip the facial next time and come back for a massage.

If you’re looking for a well-priced quality spa, this is the place. The staff is always friendly and professional and the services are great. The body scrubs and facials are relaxing and a great reset. You can sometimes get a last minute reservation and they are open late which is a huge plus!

In addition he also had a deep tissue massage.The place is small, cozy and intimate and the staff is nothing short of wonderful!!!! I would definitely recommend Pure Qi Spa because it was an unforgettably relaxing and refreshing experience and well definitely be returning as many times as possible!!!

I came here along with my mother for the pure qi signature massage. Nice place, timely. And the ladies who did our massages were great. They really worked hard to work out all the knots and kinks. We felt so relaxes after. They are reasonably priced. The front desk guy is also very friendly. I would definitely reccomend this place to others. Anyone on a budget who is looking to invest some time back into themselves. The ladies there will have you feeling like a new person after they are finished working on you. I definitely pla. On visiting again and bringing my mom along too!

5 years ago I used to come here all the time. Then I moved to Thailand and got the best massages every 2 weeks for three years.Now Im back, and I went to Pure Qi not sure if I was going to love it as much as I used to after being spoiled abroad. Theyre still great. Ultimately, massages are all about personal taste and the masseuse you get, so keep that in mind, but my wife and I love this place.

Came in for a massage and facial for two. It was very clear from the beginning that the menu items are a farce because when we explained which type of facial we were expecting, one of the managers(?) told us the ladies would pick based off our skin but we got the exact same treatment. There also was not enough extractions for the facial. It was mostly a lot of creams/masks and a sheet mask, which I can do at home. My face looks more moisturized for sure, but otherwise the same. The massage was OK but definitely didn’t solve my hurting back. And the worst part was that the masseuses were chatting and laughing behind our backs. Pretty unprofessional. They request that you pay in cash for some “bonuses” like a stone massage but then they messed up which one of us should have gotten which one. And on top of that, the manager was not pleased with our tip and “suggested” we pay more which is just unprofessional. Will not be coming back here.

Professional and very affordable.Go for the Aroma Paradise package. A 1hr full body massage, facial & hot stone reflexology foot massage - all this incredible work for 2 hours at a price that can’t be beat.

I just had the most relaxing 40 min foot massage followed by a perfect 70 min deep tissue massage (it was the best balance between relaxing and really getting up in them knots). The staff here is very sweet and courteous. The place itself is small, but quiet, well lit and very chill. I wholeheartedly recommend Pure Qi. Cant wait to go back!

Lovely experience. Felt like I was in good hands and didnt need to say a thing. I did anti-stress (Swedish) and it really turned my day around! Very thorough and I would say it surpassed my resort massages.Literally, so relaxed from head to toe.

I expected better but should have listened to the recent bad reviews. The massage was weak despite me asking for more intensity. The masseuses did not understand my requests and were snickering and talking amongst each other as they massaged me and my girlfriend. All the special services I explained to the front desk were ignored and replaced by a generic 60 minute massage and 70 minute facial, rendering the menu you see online pointless. Oh and the facial sucked too. They spent 1 minute on extractions and then just rubbed various creams on me. I pretty much have just as many noticeable blackheads as I came in with. And like other reviewers stated, the front desk had the nerve to demand more tip. I wasnt going to have a public meltdown so I gave him his extortion money — but he lost two customers for life and hopefully youll avoid this place too.

This place is a lifesaver and my go-to massage place in nyc. I have somewhat chronic lower back pain and sciatica and they know exactly how to treat it. The staff is always super kind and knowledgeable.

Just like all the other raving reviews here, I, too, had a great experience at Pure Qi Spa. Its a humble little place, but having been to high end spa places, this non-pretentious gem was a refreshing surprise.I brought my friend here for her birthday and we both had the pure qi signiture massage (deep tissue for me). My masseuse was Nancy and she was fantastic, her hands, fingers, elbows and legs were no joke. Dont underestimate a tiny Asian ladys strengthAfterwards, they gave me tea and peanut candy while I waited for my friend to finish and had to sit on the comfy lounge chair. The customer service overall was really on point. I will bring my mom here next time!Thank you for a lovely time :)

Clean, affordable and they fit me in last minute. My masseuse did not speak English so it was impossible to communicate with the therapist. I went in for a deep tissue with a kink in my neck, unable to turn to the left and tried to let her know but she didnt seem to understand. There was way too much oil which I am not a fan of and I left with the same knots I went in with. Id say the massage, itself, was at times too hard and otherwise infective.

I came in because of all the good reviews, but buyer beware: the masseuses do not speak English and are definitely not licensed, which feels a little shady. I have back issues and injuries and this place made them feel even worse. Front desk asked me to leave more tip, even though my massage was dreadful. How are they not shut down for being illegal? I mentioned my experience to a friend and she said the same thing. Waste of money and time.

This was such a relaxing experience! I got the H package that included a 60 min massage and a 60 min facial. Tom was my masseuse and idk I think we should get married?! Hes the first male masseuse Ive ever had; it felt like he did a lot more than Im used to, stretching out my legs and arms and reallyyy getting in my shoulders with his fingertips, which I desperately needed! He even discovered a spot in my lower back that I pulled months ago and worked it out, without my saying anything. It was the best massage of my life periodt.My facial was with Luna. Ive had mini facials in the past; this was my first full or deluxe or whatever the proper label is. The lights were dimmed and the room had a soothing effect, much like the massage room. They gave me a robe to change into and she comfortably pulled my fro back. She was very gentle and very precise; she literally didnt get a single drop of water or product anywhere off my face. If youve never had extractions either, it feels like a little pinch, not painful enough to remember once its over. I dont know what happened after that because I fell asleep but when it was over, my face looked amazing 🥰Ive had a thing for pure qi for a few years now but this visit really solidified my loyalty!

Excellent service. They take all the sanitarian and safety precautions even during Covid-19. The masseuse is communicative enough to ask how are you feeling. The massage was the right pressure. Very relaxing and comforting.

Ive gone multiple times for massages and recently had a facial as well. Pay in cash (they have an atm on site) to get an add-on like hot stones added to your massage. The facilities are clean and they practice additional sanitization protocols since covid.

There is something shady going on with this place. Management is not happy when you tip masseuse directly. He also dicided to give himself a $10 tip on my credit card and of course found a way to explain it. Im not going to argue over $10 Qi spa just lost a customer.

I went in specifically to have my face and head worked on as I have a terrible sinus headache and cant take any medication as I am pregnant. I was told I couldnt have a deep tissue massage because its too dangerous and the therapist spent about 1 min on my head and otherwise gave me a very gentle, mediocre massage. I reported my disappointment to the person working at the desk who apologized but went ahead to charge me full price. Super disappointing.

Went here for my first couple massage with my boyfriend. The massage felt good overall but some parts were a little too painful for me.

The masseuse scratched my skin to where it was red and raw. The shop then blamed me for being scratched. They were rude and called me out for a poor tip though I tipped appropriately for the poor service and bad attitude.

The guy in the front desk demanded a tip for the girl after i already tipped her. Not very professional. I own a barbershop and i would never demand tips for my employees
