Ive been steady going to D+W for a year now, and their nail techs are very amazing and pleasant to work with. They truly listen to your requests and concerns in order to address and satisfy your needs. The workers here are highly skilled, efficient, attentive, and great at helping pick colors. I stumbled upon this place about 2 years ago and this is my go-to spot for nail services. Angela is the best and all the nail techs do their best to accommodate their client’s requests. The pricing is reasonable and they have a great warranty policy. I have not had any nails chip or peel off (lucky me) but it is nice that they stand by their work. I will continue coming back for the consistent positive experiences I have every time I stop by.

These nails turned out great!! I haven’t gotten a manicure in a long time so I wasn’t sure about the process, but my nail technician made the process both easy and comfortable. She was very thoughtful, talented, gentle, and willing to make my experience as comfortable and fun as possible. As for the finished products, they turned out magnificent. They were willing to accept any inspo pictures and provide a variety of options for customers to choose from. I sent one and my nail artist did an excellent job with the whole step by step process. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone around the area.

I love this place, Ive been coming to them for 3 years, Shirley and Angela are my girls, the place is peaceful, clean, plus they are very good and friendly! I cant find another place like them, top quality price. Every 3 weeks I do my pedicure and manicure gel extensions top top top❤️

This was my first time ever getting my nails done and it was a very pleasant and relaxing experience! My nail technician Jane made sure to always ask if I was uncomfortable with anything during the process and made me feel very reassured in putting my complete trust in her with my nails. I felt no pain or discomfort at all throughout the process and was very satisfied with the finished look. Jane was very gentle in taking care of my nails and also was determined to make my nails as detailed as possible which I really appreciated! I showed her an inspo pic and she gladly accommodated to my needs and matched the vibes perfectly. I would recommend this to anyone who’d like some top-notch nail service!

I’m sorry to have had a really bad experience here.Unfortunately during my gel manicure the technician used a nail drill to drill off my cuticles, after I asked her not to use it. It ended up taking a chunk of my skin near the cuticle off causing multiple cuticles to bleed. The technician apologized multiple times.I reached out to the manager to ask for a refund as I’m in pain and now have to apply antibacterial ointment frequently to avoid infection. I felt pretty upset that I left in pain and with skin damaged. The manager refused to refund me and offered only a discount at my next appointment. If I ever caused pain or injured a client I would not hesitate to refund for the botched service.While the location is convenient unfortunately the clinicians are not careful and can cause harm. I had my nails done for an upcoming wedding and now am going to be having to deal with pain during the event.

Love coming to d+w polish, all the staff here are friendly and so talented! Ive gotten gel nail art/ gel extensions here, they recently started to do 3D poly gels. My go to is Angela, she takes pride in her work and is so knowledgeable! ❤️❤️

This is literally a best-kept secret in Brooklyn. This is the best nail salon I’ve ver been to. The skill here is unparalleled. They are so technical and precise. My designs come out flawless every time and I’ve never seen any salon do tips so well you literally can’t tell if their fake (even if you look under the nail)Added bonus- their warranty program that allows you to come back within 2 weeks if your nails mess up. Free of charge! I’ve literally only had to use the warranty once- my nails always last at least 4-6 weeks.

Wonderful nail salon. Today was my 3rd visit for a powder dip manicure and spa pedicure. “Shirley” was amazing, thorough, gentle and talented. She left no stone unturned and went out of her way to please. Wonderful customer service. Possibly the best mani/pedi I ever received. I love their 2week guarantee to repair any issues with the gel/powder mani. They graciously comply with this policy. The store is immaculate and relaxing, and prices are competitive for quality services.

Edit: I updated my review due to the owners response. My interaction detailed below seems to be due to a misunderstanding on my end from what was being communicated to me. I appreciate the response given and this will still be a place I recommend because I have had great experiences since Ive began frequenting D+W. Again, the nail art that is accomplished here is absolutely beautiful, facilities are clean, they accept walk-ins, and theyre responsive so while I may no longer be stopping here due to reasons originally stated, that doesnt dismiss the amazing work they can do.Just to clarify, I did get the nails requested fixed more or less but the rest of my nails, as of today and after I left the salon yesterday, are peeling/raising and chipping. This occurred after my interaction yesterday and which, in their response, they offered to fix as well. No place is perfect but is clear DW has no issue taking criticism while trying to correct things with their customers but still work to protect and respect their nail technicians, and thats certainly commendable.----Sometime last week I got a regular pedi and gel mani. Yesterday, I utilized their 10 day policy to get my mani fixed and I think this’ll be my last visit after frequenting DW for over a year. I showed several nails where layers of gel polish was peeling up and some were chipped right at the top/completely off the top of the nails. Only chipped nail was redone, others were filed down. The same nails and others chipped a few hours after getting them fixed and some seem to be just peeling off the nail? They’re not chipping but the gel polish is literally raising off of my nails. I’ve had some great experiences with DW, especially when it comes to their designs but too often I’ve gotten just regular gel nails and they’ve begun to chip within the next few days. I have recommended this place to family and friends in the past but between that fix and previous attitudes, I’m not sure I’d come back.

Came here to try their manicure designs before settling on something for my 2-week vacation and was so satisfied by the service, design, and durability (3 full weeks before I got them done again). The maroon set (done by Emily) is before vacation and the colorful set (done by Nicole) is so far so good four days later. Posting this from Southeast Asia because they survived last minute intense packing and handling of heavy luggages and still looks flawless — highly recommend

I come all the way from Queens. My gel manicure always stay more than 3 weeks except I peel it off by myself. Always happy with my nails done. The staff is super nice and patient. They have calming music in the background as I am getting my nail done.

I went last Tuesday for the first time to do my manicure on gel. It felt like the girl was rushing so bad that she didn’t do a great job. After I left that day, a few hours later one nail got chipped… and the next day another one. It didn’t felt like gel, it is not the first time that I do gel so I know how it’s supposed to be… they have warranty for 10 days so I decided to go so they can re-do my nails. It lasted 4 days…It’s poor quality of gel polish. I seriously do not recommend this place, I paid $38 for this and it didn’t even last for a week.First two photos was a few hours later, the polish was wetPhoto 3 and 4 the next dayLast photo is my nails right now, four days later after the re-doIf I could I would give zero stars

I really wanted to like this place - location is convenient, nice and clean salon - but I will not be going back. The first time I went, I got regular gel and it chipped a few days later. Since they have the 14 day warranty, I went back. The woman who fixed 3 chipped nails was in such a rush, did such a messy job, and got gel all over my fingers. Those fixed nails lasted ONE day without chipping again. I decided to go back and try powder gel. (photo attached) 5 days later, three of my nails are cracked/chipped and I paid 70 dollars. Before this set, I had powder gel nails with ZERO cracks or chips for an entire month - not to mention for a fraction of the price. Never again. Save your money, go elsewhere. Sorry.

This continues to be my nail place for 3 years, and I haven’t found another that could do better than them! My cuticles are very sensitive and Cynthia and Nicole take care of them and are very gentle — they are my favorite. The staff is really nice, my nails last a long time, and they exceed expectations whenever I show them a design I like. Totally recommend a Gel X, Dip Powder, & Pedicure!

I’m new to the neighborhood and was so happy when I found a clean nail salon nearby that does SNS dip powder.I wanted to like this place so much - the staff are incredibly warm, friendly, and have great customer service, but my SNS dip powder manicure would NOT stop chipping. Fifteen days later and five of my nails are completely broken.They give you a warranty card where you can come back in if you have chips. I had to come in four times within two weeks because five nails of my nails had chipped.They were friendly and nice when I kept coming in with chips, so I’m giving them some stars for that, but I spent three months growing out my natural nails with my old salon to have half of them destroyed in just two weeks.I personally will not be returning (I’ll commute 45 min to my old salon), but it’s worth checking out if you’re nearby bc the staff really is wonderful.

I got tip extensions on Tuesday 11/30 at 7pm before leaving on vacation for my friends wedding on Wednesday 12/01 at 7am. My pointer and middle finger nail literally broke less than 12 hours after getting them done around 4am Wednesday morning when I was getting ready to go to the airport. And then after a week on 12/9 my two pinky nails broke. This place has really poor quality extensions, I would not suggest you get them done here. The staff on the day I was getting them done was really nice. However the owner was incredibly rude and not helpful and literally hung up on me twice when I called asking to get them fixed or about getting a refund since these broke so quickly and I wouldn’t be able to go back to the salon before the two week warranty was up. Would not suggest going here at all for tips or even gel polish. The tips will break and the gel polish will chip very quickly and you will pay a fortune!

Had a manicure and pedicure here on Tuesday, February 15th (day before my vacation). In Florida now, bleeding from all the cuts that I got from my $55 spa pedicure here! I can’t believe the incompetence of the girl who continued to cut me, while I told her that she is hurting me! If you are using new tools, You Should Know How To Use THEM!!!!! I’m going to urgent care and will send you my bill! If you get a manicurist with praying hands 🙏 tattoo on her hand: RUN!!!!

Walked in for a last minute powder manicure and they took me right away. The place is clean, staff is friendly, and the service is impeccable! I’ve never had a powder manicure removal where the technician monitored the heat—get this—by touching my nail to feel how hot it got. I have been to many, many nail salons and I’ve never experienced this before. The technician was careful, accommodating, and friendly so much that when my daughter arrived to meet me they pulled up a chair so she could sit next to me. I live in Long Island but definitely would take that drive to get this type of service.- From my mom

My first time going here and I had excellent service. Everyone was friendly and attentive. I received a warranty card in case to use within 2 weeks. The person who does the designs is a perfectionist and she did a really great job. Both ladies that worked with me were amazing im very pleased!

One of the best places to get your nails done in the city. They typically can accommodate walk ins and offer a range of services. Every time Ive gotten extensions theyve lasted 3-4 weeks with minimal chipping. There are a few additional charges for nail shape, designs, etc. so keep that in mind/budget if you have something specific youre looking for. The staff is friendly and willing to try different designs/approaches to provide the customer what theyre looking for.

I discovered this place a few months, get my nails done several for times now. That was so surprised me that she was so quick but attention to detail is like no other. She listened to what you wanted and try to match. When i asked for her opinion, she always happy to help. I paid my extension and shape totally 66 which came out over my expectation! So Worth it! Highly recommend Nicole!

My favorite nail salon in Brooklyn. The technicians are so nice and the polish on my hands always stay very well!! They also offer me a warranty card for fix which is so sweet. Nice location with all new and clean equipment. They moved from a previous location around the corner on Court Street.Manicure was good, but the Pedicure wasn’t as thorough as I’m used to in the city and as I would have liked since my nails needed it.Otherwise, a welcome new addition to the neighborhood and with minor improvements on the service, could be promising. They are currently offering 10% off promo since they recently opened if you want to try yourself.

My go-to neighborhood spot! Always beautiful results. Their salon is zen and every mani has a 5 min massage, which is very nice. Highly recommend! If you want a special design, be sure to call ahead and let them know so they can book you with the right lady 🥳

The ladies there were really nice. My nails look beautiful but there were a couple downsides. First, there was barely any scrubbing done during my pedicure. Second, I had to wait almost 30 minutes for a manicurist even though I had an appt. Third, the manicurist cut off my cuticles without asking me (I have never cut them off before). Other than my toes smudging, my nails and toes look pretty cute. Total for classic pedicure $30. Total for Almond shaped gel extensions - $81EDIT: One nail came of 11 days later. Sucks because they guarantee to fix any damaged nails but it has to be within 10 days. Still a nice feature.

This salon is very clean, has a great menu of services, the staff are friendly, and they take walk-ins whenever possible! My only complaint was the overall quality/durability of the nails I received. Within the first 48 hours of having my nails done, one broke off while I was getting dressed. I went back to get it fixed (which they did for free because they have a 2 week warranty), and then about 3 days later both of the thumb nails broke off. I went back again to get them fixed, and then the next day the pinky nail broke off. I wear acrylic extensions all the time and this set seems to be particularly brittle, which is a huge bummer given how much a full set costs.

D + W Polish is a 5-star nail salon. I’ve been a client for almost a year and the service at this salon is always impeccable. They are professionals! The salons ambiance is peaceful, clean and cozy. Their attention to nail care as well as their artistry is like no other nail salon in Brooklyn, NY. My nail technician (her name will remain anonymous and you know why) is SPECTACULAR and I Absolutely ADORE HER! She’s always pleasant, she’s meticulous, talented and beyond creative. I’ve walked into every appointment feeling old & unattractive and walked out feeling brand new, beautiful & SEXY! YES! This Salon does an excellent job for me. Because of Covid I have been working 16 hrs a day and have been unable to visit every two weeks. My nails remain well shaped and smooth. I highly recommend this nail salon. Staff are very attentive and have excellent skills and great service.

Now I’ve never had reason to leave a bad review before. I asked for a small change in the design of 2 nails after realizing the initial colors wouldn’t have gone well together. It was a simpler design, and would’ve taken way less time, since I’d already been there close to 2 hours. The lady yelled “No, no, I can’t! I’m not doing it!”. After another worker managed to convince her it was fine, she completed it, the whole time loudly complaining to her co-workers to the point where everyone else in the room was silent and staring. It was highly unprofessional, rude, and completely uncalled for. Not to mention, not even an hour after leaving the salon one of my nails chipped (the actual gel extension). Save your money and go elsewhere.Edit: The owner responded calling my review exaggerated and unreal, I guess trying to invalidate my own experience? Leaving a bad review isnt something people do for fun, its because they didnt receive the service they paid hard-earned money for. It honestly just speaks volumes to their unprofessionalism.

Great nail salon. Super clean and always satisfied with the outcome. Have tried multiple salons in the area and think this is by far the most reliable one. I’ve had a different nail technician almost every time and all have been fantastic. Also appreciate that they open a new/unused filer and buffer for manicures, unlike many other salons.

Whether its a gel manicure or nail art, they are thorough and tidy. My favorite part is the warranty card: if there are any chips within a week, theyll do complimentary touch-ups! I wanted to give 4 stars for my initial experience getting a gel manicure + regular pedicure from Shirley who was patient and thorough and kind during my service last Sunday. On Tuesday, my gel manicure started peeling off on its own leaving my manicure embarrassingly disheveled during my vacation. I spent the week feeling ashamed of my cheap looking peeling off manicure. By the time I came back to the salon today, only 1 week later, 5 of my gels had completely fallen off and the rest were peeling at the edges.So, I went back today to have it fixed per their warranty and was treated horribly. Before I even finished telling them what happened I was cut off and asked to take a seat. The technician was so rude, she had left foils on my nails too long and they started to burn my skin. When I asked if she could take them off she snapped at me “YES IM GOING TO TAKE THEM OFF” and told me to put my hand back under the light. I told her they were feeling warm and she said “OH FINE” and finally took them off. I was rushed out without a single apology for the embarrassing previous manicure or the treatment I received today.This entire experience could have been 4 stars if they were kind on my visit today, but treating a customer this way after they have just suffered from your defective product is not the way to encourage loyalty. I will no longer go here for manicures, and I recommend you avoid them too, especially before a trip.

Nails look one week old. They don’t cover the entire nail. This photo has been taken a few minutes after leaving the salon.It looks like it is done on purpose so you need to come back earlier. Not nice to leave a place to have your nails nice and fresh and have them look like they were done a week back.Overall the costumer service and quality of work is good. I liked the experience, but this is not okay considering I spent over $45 just for the gel mani. Additionally I had a spa pedi done.

Dont bother coming. Theyre very rude, your nails will pop off in a week, and when you go back to get them fixed within 2 weeks, a service they offer, theyre very nasty about it

I knew this place because of my friends. Large selection of nail polish colors. I’m super happy with the simple elegant job done by my nail associate! The job was perfect, well-execute. It was worth every penny. I plan to return in 2-3 weeks’ time! Thank you D+W!

This was such a nice experience! i came with my best friend and we were able to sit and chat our way through pedicure. very relaxing, nice people made us feel sooo welcome. The pedicure was great and my lady was sweet and skilled, she did a great job on my toes and gave a nice relaxing massage.

I did my nails here about 3 weeks ago and it was amazing especially being the first time doing dip powder, but baby when I tell you yesterday was a complete disaster. The First Lady who attempted to do my nails didn’t know what she was doing. I requested the lady I had before. I felt like I was being rushed. The shape of my nails was not cohesive, my nails were not filed smoothly but that’s not even the worst part two nails already broke off. I leave for my trip in the morning. Very disappointed

3 stars because they do have a 2 week guarantee on gel nails & the place is clean. I kept getting gel & it would come off within a week so they convinced me to get powder. The powder won’t come off so at least it stays but they specifically told me they will not fill the powder. So I have to have them removed and completely redone from scratch. So…. Over it! The guarantee isn’t worth it.

I love this new look! Definitely number 1 nail salon in town. Beautiful, comfortable, friendly, clean, relaxing, welcoming, and amazing place. Nail polish quality & nail designs are really good. Their gel manicure lasts me more than 2 weeks. I, highly recommend Angela. She is masters of all. :)

The services I received were a UV gel removal and a classic manicure.I called prior to ask whether they serviced UV gel removal. I called 3 other salons in the area and they said No, because its labor intensive&they did not have the machinery.D+W did and I headed over.The standard is removing the majority of the gel with a filer, soaking in acetone and scraping the excess.D+Ws service used a nail extension to wedge in between the UV gel and my nail and tore it off.Another nail tech recommended I get a manicure done because of the damage on my nails incurred by the service. I agreed and asked for clear nail polish.As a business practice, I think its ingenious to poorly provide a service and sell another.

I want to be clear, the employees are very pleasant and sweet but I tried my best to resolve without having to leave a review.1. I made an appointment asking for gel extensions, come to find out when I arrive, they don’t do gel extensions lol it’s too late for me to make another appointment in time for my trip so I’m forced to do acrylic2. I show the design I want, and the nail tech seems sure she can do it and they give me a price for the design. We get to the end and the first nail is not nearly as close to the design in the picture and she suggests to just not do the design. At this point I’ve spent over an hour here in the middle of a work day so I have to go and don’t have time to redo the nail. But when I get home I’m not happy with the inconsistent shapes nor the color (without the design). So I asked to come in the next day to fix. The next day, because they were doing me a “favor,” they wouldn’t do any of the alternate designs I showed, even though I paid for a design already and I offered to pay more for difficulty. Which makes me think they’re not that capable of doing designs.3. I asked to do a wax, it’s $25 for half leg, when it’s time to pay they charge me $30. I ask why, and their answer was legit because I had more hair lol as If quantity matters when doing a wax, you still have to wax every part of the leg whether there’s hair there or not. The worst part, I’m not sure what she did, but it left a pretty ugly scar on my right inner thigh which makes it uncomfortable to wear certain clothing until it fully heals.All in all, nice people but not the best experience.

DW never disappoints! I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve gotten manicures, pedicures, gel polish and now acrylics and everything is always great! I just got french nail acrylics and they are perfect. Would definitely recommend, love this place!!

In fact, this is the best, most beautiful and professional nail salon I have *ever* found.🤩Angela absolutely blew me away with her professionalism, knowledge, and expertise. She gave me sound recommendations on caring for my nails while she gave me the powder gel mani of my dreams.The important boxes were all ticked off as well; fair price, workers and customers all visibly treated well, tidy, lovely environment, UV sterilized tools, natural/organic nail polishes upon request, massage chairs, +5min massage included in every gel mani.Worth. Do your self a favor and do not get your eye brows done here. The person they have clearly does not know how to do brows. Nor did the owner / manager care when I said I was not happy with it.

Been going there since Covid 19 in 2020, I was also pregnant and uses the D+W salon as my relax peace of mines, quantity Servies. Love the place workers friendly, clean, professional. Angela is my go to girl alway make me feel welcome and relax & stress free. I will recommend this place to everyone that I know

I have been a devoted customer for 9yrs! They have performed miracles on my feet as i use to have feet that resemble a roadmap. Im so happy their located in cobble Hill across fm Trader joes where I shop then get a relaxing Pedicure. I will continue to patronize this place for as long as I can..

Very poor customer service. A technician started my pedicure and when I requested a gel manicure he said he couldn’t do it and refused to swap technicians for someone who could—instead he serviced two customers who arrived after me. I requested a nude shade and he offered me taupe!! Totally incompetent! Argh. I am traveling to meet my fiancé’s family for the first time and this was my one available opportunity to get a manicure before my trip. VERY frustrating.

Wow! They really take their time and are so friendly and detail oriented! I really felt cared for and I’m incredibly happy with the outcome of my pedicure, manicure, and back massage!

They do a great powder manicure here. Nice and thin, lasts well. One of the best Ive found.

The acrylic job i got was not worth the $50 I paid. The nail shape was inconsistent and the nails were all different lenghts, as well as having a poor paint job. Disappointed and dissatisfied. Do not reccomend.

I always go to this salon and I will keep coming back. The service is the best I have experienced and nowhere else has topped. Also the nail job is so clean and pretty. Worth the $$ ✨

This is my favorite nail salon in the area! My dip polish never chips when I get it done here and I love that they give you a card in case in does, you can have that nail re-done for free.

When ever I come I get an amazing service. The person who does my pedicures is Jane. She is so delicate and my gel pedicures lasts.

I was all about this place until today. Had a 430pm appt. Showed up at 435 and was told wed wait 30mins cause we were 5mins late. You could tell that everyone in there had been there longer than 5mins. Apparently there is no grace period.
