What a great place!First time visiting and wow! Great staff, amazing venue for live music, such a cool vibe and very clean.Definitely a great place to catch live music, drink a few drinks and have a good time.It appeared that there were a couple of other “side” bars available that weren’t being utilized which caused some congestion at the main bar. It was a little disappointing, having to wait in such a long line for drinks, but it did not affect my overall impression. And MAJOR KUDOS to the 2 bartenders that were absolutely working their tails off! They were fast, friendly and fantastic.I wish y’all all the success with this incredible business! Can’t wait to come back.
Sundance Hall is very nice and the employees are very nice. The problem with it was that we paid to get in to see the Bellamy Brothers and even though we got there by 7 there were no seats available. People had taken chairs from other tables. There just werent enough tables to accommodate even half the crowd. One gentleman told us that he got there at 5:30, waited for the doors to open, grabbed chairs from another table to accommodate his party, and then sat for 4 hours before the first act to start. When we saw that there were open chairs at his table we asked if we could take them. Thats when he told us how he had been there so early and if we wanted to sit we should have been there when he got there. His other 4 people were coming and he was keeping the chairs for them. I love the Bellamy Brothers but after standing for 4 1/2 hours I couldnt do it anymore. I would love to go back for other concerts and events but dont think I will. Sad that this is the case.
For large concerts, I dont recommend it. On the regular, yes!! The bar staff and venue are lovely. Last night we went to see Wynonna Judd perform and she was amazing. But she would be amazing performing in your living room in her pajamas! The issue was with the waiting time. The same complaint that another lady had at the Bellamy Brothers concert (see Google review from not long ago), I have about this one. The doors open at 6 and you have to get there before then to ensure a seat. Many of the few places to sit were reserved for the owners friends. This is their prerogative of course, but keep your audience in mind. Wynonna has been performing for almost 40 years, her patrons might be older. My parents got there at 5:30 and they are handicapped and elderly but wanted to take the opportunity to see this concert while they could. Wynonna never comes this close to us and we had never seen her! Again, she was perfect. There were many older patrons there who could not find seating. No one went on stage until after 9 oclock and that wasnt with Wynonna, just her band. Opening the doors 3 Hours before someone is scheduled to go on stage, and 4 hours before the main act goes on stage at 10:15 is ridiculous.Sadly, I feel like this is just a ploy for the irritated, bored, very hot people to buy alcohol and water. And when I went to purchase drinks, I asked for a glass of water as well. I was told that it was the same price as a bottle so bought a bottle. They charged us for tiny plastic cups of water. And the bottles were not even cold. I understand that a business must make money, but it was unenjoyable until she sang. And even then, we were so drained from standing for HOURS and the heat (inside) that we had to leave before she finished. And because people had way too many hours to drink, some were wasted and stumbling all over the place, getting dragged off the floor by their friends before she even went on stage. The looks on so many faces up until then was agony.Dont open the doors that early when its a huge concert night. Though the staff was very prepared and nothing ran out. Treat it like a large venue if you are attempting such feats logistically. Such a shame, beautiful place.
We absolutely love this Venue and the Owner is amazing!! They bring a great time for friends & family to get together hang out dance and enjoy great music. Keep up the awesome job guys we love it at Sundance Hall ♥️
Great owners. Very clean. Really nice floor for dancing. Waitresses very friendly and prompt. No smoking inside. Yay!!! One suggestion, air conditioning is great, but large fans in the warmer months would make it more comfortable.
