They offer a special to San Diego locals. You get a discounted spa service and a free lunch. I thought that sounded good. The massage was nice. The steam room wasnt too clean, hairs all over. As I sat at the pool and ate the free lunch, I thought it was about the worst sandwich I have ever eaten. The turkey was old, hard and dried out. If you are a local, coming for this deal, I would pass on it.

I have been to Ocean Pearl in the past and was not overly happy! I treated my mother to a spa day last week and chose this one because I had heard about the new renovation. We did not realize we were coming only two days after opening and I was thoroughly impressed!! Clean, relaxing, great service and Carrie (manager) was welcoming and wonderful.

Loved it! Very friendly staff. Nice selection of treatments. I had the Anti-Aging Body Wrap. It was amazing. Started off relaxing in the lounge with my mother with a glass of champagne, there was a wet sauna that was nice. Lots of toiletries supplied. Their lockers come with keys. I had Auriel, she was so sweet, helpful and did an awesome job. I left very relax and younger. My mother had Astrid and she also was very happy with her service. We will definitely be back.

We travel to Carlsbad multiple times each year and this spa is one of my wifes favorites. We were in Carlsbad last week and as with tradition, called to set up a massage for her and a friend traveling with us. We called and got a recording to leave a message. It took them approximately 4 hours to return our call in which they offered us a time slot for massages but we needed to confirm within 1 hr and they would hold our time slots. My wife verified the phone number to call back on as she expressed concerns with how long it took them to call us back initially. My wife called back within 5 minutes to confirm her appointments but got the recording so she left a message requesting the time slots. Sure enough, many hours later we received a call back that they gave the massages to someone else as they had only just retrieved out message. The lady calling was very rude and even laughed at us because they are very busy. This was very poor customer service and has my wife thinking twice about going back to one of her favorite spas.

The facility and property are spectacular, my therapist, Ariel, was amazing, one of the best Ive ever experienced. I didnt give the entire experience five stars because I bought the locals special, a 50 minute service with lunch. I had previously had the identical service with my sister who comes from Florida and we enjoy our sister time. This time, however, the experience was different...instead of going to the restaurant to enjoy our lunch, a brown bag was delivered with our lunch in plastic containers and our wine in plastic cups. We were so disappointed, we were so relaxed from the wonderful massages and then our expectation was diminished with the bag lunch, plastic utensils and cups. We asked where we were to have the lunch and they said we could sit by the pool or on the patio (it was cold and windy) and although they offered to put on the heaters, it just was a big letdown. If this were explained when the appointments were booked, we would have only booked the spa treatment and marched over to the restaurant afterwards The way its being done now is awkward and ruins the whole point of the relaxation therapy. It would be nice if they would revert to the original way it was done.

Incredible! The staff is amazing, friendly and helpful. The massage therapists are really great and the atmosphere of the spa is a really nice place to relax, after. They also have a restaurant on the grounds, which is very good.

Ariel (not sure thats the correct spelling) was amazing. I chose the deep tissue massage. I have a very soar muscle issue on my left leg. She did an amazing job. She was previously trained in medical massage. Go see her!!!

You can stay all day at the spa and use the outdoor pool all day. Great massage and facial prices. Good therapists too. The spa has six massage rooms, two facial rooms. two pedicure chairs and two manicure tables.

When in got all the info...went to room told everyone & figured out what we all wanted.When back & they said they where closed rest of the day for a wedding party..wpuld have been nice for them to have mentionedThe closure.
