Therapist Cheryl was amazing and smooth. 4.5 out of 5. Reception, yea not so much. 2 out of 5. They were behind and frazzled. Being in a rush is not the proper way to start a relaxing massage in my opinion. Facility was nice and well kept. The offering of water along with assorted teas was a pleasant touch to end the session. Left relaxed and refreshed which is the point for going.
John provided an excellent massage. He focused on areas of concern, as well as additional areas identified during the massage. His skills were amazing. It was one of the best massages that I have ever experienced. I strongly recommend not only Massage Envy, but specifically John!
I opted for the 90-minute massage, and my therapist, John, was outstanding. He took the time to understand my specific needs and preferences, ensuring a personalized experience. Joe is an amazing masseuse and a a great guy!I’m a hairstylist and have a lot of tension and issues on my neck and shoulder. Joe is the first masseuse I have stuck with. He listens to what your concerns/issues are and regularly checks in to make sure that pressure/client comfort is maintained and adequate. I go every two weeks and I have never felt better.Highly recommend 👏
Hjuna was outstanding! This was my first facial so I let her work her magic. She walked me through the whole process and explained each step. She educated me on skin care routines and the best products for my situation. My skin feels amazing and my pores feel like they can breathe. 10/10 would recommend her to anyone looking for an incredible experience. Will be going monthly!
Arrived as first time guest @ 9:50. Massage didnt start until 10:10, and ended at 10:56. A 60 minute session was actually 46 minutes.As for the massage itself, Cheryl was my therapist. This was a head to toe massage. She has amazing hands and did an exceptional job releasing the knots in my back. Make sure you ask for a pillow for your neck when you flip from on your stomach to on your back, that was my only mistake. Other than that I was comfortable the entire time and almost fell asleep several times
The service I received was on time, responsive to my needs, and professional. I got the receipts for my insurance, and plan to go every month for my well-being. This regular visit is what I came to deem vital for my self care. Cheryl is an amazing massage therapist! My husband’s physical condition is also improving, after several appointments with Antoinette, and his doctor is happy with the results.
I recently relocated from across the country. I was reticent to renew my relationship with Massage Envy as the quality of services in Algonquin, IL had fallen to unacceptable standards.Sheili, from the RiverGate location in Charlotte, NC, has renewed my faith in the brand. She was excellent! One of the best services I have ever had at Massage Envy. She was a consummate professional, understood a true therapeutic approach, took the time to do things correctly, and was very pleasant to work with. If there were 6 stars, I would give them.
I’ve been a member for many years. So easy to book an appointment and their app is very easy to use. So far I’ve had facials, 90/60 minute massages & a total body stretch session. I love that I can use my membership across all their services. My favorite massage therapists are Ontonette and Cheryl!
Another great massage with Judson at massage envy. He asks questions before the massage to make sure that he’s spending time addressing any issues or aches and pains that I have. He’s a great therapist and an essential part of maintaining my health!

I had an amazing massage today by Jason at the Massage Envy Walkers Branch location today. Jason did an outstanding job, and I was relaxed in minutes. (I told him that he is part magician!) His techniques melted away the stress and knots that I had. I highly recommend Jason as a massage therapist!
Told several time to ease pressure. Did ease then went back. Not friendly at all. Ended session before over. 1pm appt didnt get taken to room until 108 she ended session at 224. She stated it was an 80 massage to acct for 5 at beginning and 5 at end for dressing. It was just a few minutes but I shouldnt be shorted by her taking me back late. i still tipped but definitely not what I wouldve if she was at pleasant.

Ontonette, ontonette, ontonette!! It has been such a relief coming here to see Ontonette. I have been massaged by her a total of 4x now over the last 3 months. She is working so well at recovering issues that Ive had build up for yearsss. Not only is her touch exceptional but she is also extremely knowledgeable of the muscles/areas shes working on. Went in for a 30 minute rapid tension relief session. I was called back to the room almost 15 minutes late and it still ended at the scheduled time, which means it was approximately 15 minutes of time working on me. When you pay for 30, that’s what you should receive. Very little relief provided. First and last time at this location.

I have been a member here since 2008 and have seen it decline to the mess that it is now, and cancelled my membership last evening. The therapists, to be clear, are quite good, but getting TO them involves going through disastrous front desk help. They never answer the phone, as has been shared in multiple other reviews. Last evening I arrived to my scheduled appointment and walked up to a locked door with the lobby lights off. It was 6:25pm. I called, and there was no answer. As I was leaving a voicemail, a girl came out from the back and unlocked the door, offering no explanation. Her greeting words were that since I was the last client, I would have to check out before the massage. I informed her that this was not disclosed in advance and I would not be providing the tip before the service. She said she couldnt close out her drawer otherwise and I explained that was not my problem. It was obvious she had no interest in being there or having anything to do with clients. After the massage, I exited back into the lobby to find her staring at her phone... no acknowledgement, no checkout. The lobby lights were still off and the storefront door was again locked. I let myself out, wondering about fire violations (keeping doors unlocked during business hours), but that isnt a subject I know well.Its a shame that the massage therapists are punished through the p***-poor behavior of inept front end staff, but thats how it goes. There are way too many good choices in the area to put up with that nonsense. Im not quite sure why management would choose to employ her, but that’s their choice.
The reception area was warm and inviting and the receptionist actually helped me with directions to get there. My masseuse John was excellent 👌 👏🏽 👍🏾 😀

Super disappointed with the lack of communication from this place and being cancelled on after having to wait 2+ months for a couple massage multiple times. First time they cancelled was because a therapist called in sick which i understand but decided to give another shot and rescheduled again.. after 2 months of waiting we walked in this morning to be told that they are gonna have to cancel again because one of the therapists is STILL in the hospital (so if you knew they were still in the hospital why didn’t you inform us rather than having us show up and say you just got a text this morning and having to cancel). Also informed them multiple times only wanted female therapists and couples room, so it should have been in their notes.. so their solution today was to have us be in separate rooms at 2 completely different times and informed us they’d have a male come in to do the other session. Defeats the whole purpose! And as a 2 parents trying to find the time for someone to watch our 7 month old while we could get the time to do this made the whole experience disappointing once again a d just ended up canceling everything! Definitely will not being going back.

Wow after reading all the reviews smh rn. I’ve been trying to use a gift card that was gifted to me. I’ve cancelled 2xs because of personal reasons within the 24hrs time. I’ve tried calling a lot of times to reschedule but they never answer the phone. Now when I go to this location there is 2 ladies in front.i have gone 2x. When I mentioned that I had tried to call several times. The lady pretty much ignored me.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. I have no idea how the massages are because after three MONTHS of attempting to get them to transfer my membership from my florida location, it was never done.I called no less than seven times, was given the run around, told the manager was out of town, was told they would call me back, left dozens of messages, then was told it was a corporate issue. I called corporate who said they werent involved at all, had never been involved and that it was most definitely not their issue. I finally got a call back from a girl claiming to be the manager who assured me that even though for the last 6 weeks they were supposedly working on it, NOW they were really working on it and I should just be grateful it was being taken care of and stop being upset that it wasnt handled before now. I was told shed be handling it going forward and that she was all over this and she would follow up promptly.That was weeks ago. Never recieved another call. Finally called my old place to just get them to cancel my membership so I could stop paying almost $90 a month for nothing and theyre saying they cant cancel me because its already been transferred which is news to me. So anyway, Ive now been paying for massage envy for months without having any actual services here. I highly recommend avoiding this place like the plague. Ive never seen a place so poorly run and I used to work in healthcare. These people are a whole new level of incompetent.

I genuinely have NEVER seen a more poorly run facility. Avoid it at all costs. If you need a manager good luck. She apparently only works three hours a month. Must be nice. Whatever membership you get here surely doesnt matter to these people. I would recommend replacing this manager who obviously doesnt care about returning calls and emails and has an attitude when you ask her why its s so hard for her to read emails and return phone calls. Maybe its beneath her?Surely that is why you are being employed here?There are 100 places in the area that offer services like this place. Throw a dart at a map and youll be better off.

Do not sign up for a membership. It is impossible to cancel. They are still billing me and I requested to cancel this service a year ago. I moved and now there isnt a message envy within an hour of me. They dont care! I have sent in the cancelation paperwork multiple times and they keep telling me that they will take care of it but they keep billing my credit card. RUN AWAY! The service they provide is fine but this is a scam.

The message was okay but there is continued problem with front desk getting appointments correct. So so so bad.
I went to this location back on May and I paid with a certificate that my husband bought me for Mother’s Day that was good for a 60 minutes massage. After my appointment and handled the card and the lady told me that’s all I needed. To my surprise 3 hours later I received a receipt on my email, saying that my credit card that they had on file was charged for $75. I called immediately and the lady told me that she couldn’t find such a certificate on her desk and she didn’t know what I was talking about. I requested to talk to the manager, but she was busy at the time, so I left my contact info, 5 days later no call from the manager, so I called again and she was busy again. I finally got to talk to her two weeks after the incident, she told me she would check and call me back. It’s July 27, two months later and I still awaiting for her call. So they just decided to double charged me for a mediocre massage. To this point, I just accept the fact that they committed fraud to my credit card, because it should have never been charged since a different method was used. I hope nobody else have to experience this again. Massage Envy please save yourself the time to writing back saying to call directly the store as you mentioned to other customers, instead realized that this location staff and management cannot fix the problems that they create.

It is the worst massage envy, i had a similar experience to one of the other customers review. I could write that review myself. I cancelled my membership in October in person at the center and the manager said i was good. I went for a 3 month trip out of USA and i was charged all those months and when i was back i saw them and called them. They said it was never cancelled. My membership should have been finished by Jan, But i was charged for Feb also. I asked them why was I charged again past 6 months. They said i was in auto-renew which i did not sign up for. They put it bu default on my account and i was never informed. Every-time i tried to talk to manager she would say she will get back and people dont get back. Finally they at-least cancelled my membership and asked me to fill a form and email. And they cancelled after that. Then i had to use all my massage sessions by May 12th as that was the day they said i should use all my remaining sessions. I booked 4 appointments for 1.5 hour about a month or more in advance. Now they messaged me saying my last appointment therapist is sick and i need to re schedule. But they dont have availability before May12. So i asked them to book me an appointment next week after that and use my existing session which is not used, But they said she cant do that and need to talk again with the manager. Worst front desk staff and manager. Wasted so much money. They are just looting money at this location. I have seen a similar review where someone mentioned cancellation in October, Looks like they have a practise of doing this often.
Okay- Five stars. My only thing was that I was called in 10 minutes late after checking in 10 minutes before my scheduled time. And was still not fully compensated for the time that I was waiting.However, the staff is super friendly at this location, they really have their check in process down as far as following guidelines for distancing clients. And James is AMAZING!!! I felt so relaxed and he really worked on the area that I needed him to. I was so relaxed that I forgot I was wearing my mask at times. Definitely one of the best massages I have ever received. Not the closest location to me, but definitely worth the drive.

Service from this location was always great; however getting management to follow up, return calls, emails and actually process your requests has been terrible! Management promised to waive my monthly membership fees when I called to cancel at the beginning of the year, that was never honored. I completed freeze forms, never processed. Request cancellation, never processed. When you call the location can never get someone to answer the phone, or when they do the manager is unavailable and she is the only one that can process any of this. Went to the physical location and left messages to where they wrote it in the actual note book, and nothing. When I showed up I always missed the manager, she was either on her way or on lunch or not there. I resorted to emailing and even emailed corporate and nothing. I no longer live in the area and this is beyond frustrating. I have been trying to cancel this membership for months. Customer services regarding admin duties has been subpar to say the least. It is frustrating to know that when you sign up everyone is readily available, but when you want to make changes that results in them receiving less money there is no on readily available. I am owed months of membership dues because I did what was required, NUMEROUS TIMES!!!!Edit: someone finally called me the days before Christmas because they couldn’t process my payment and promised to cancel my membership right away.
I signed up for a membership and am currently out a significant amount of money because they never have availability after 3pm or on weekends. Multiple times Ive scheduled a month in advance and was called a day or two before my appointment to cancel it because the masseuse either quit, went to part time or had a personal emergency.

Massage Envy just called me stating I had an appointment today at 12PM. They called to confirm an hour before my appointment. She then stated I never received a confirmation because the number provided opted out of text messaging. So apparently that’s the ONLY WAY for them to confirm appointments. Massage Envy had my number on file but never bothered calling me until an hour before! WHAT A JOKE. The lady on the phone kept trying to speak over me and explained she was taking my package that was TRANSFERRED TO MY ACCOUNT BY ANOTHER CLIENT. So they will now CANCEL their membership, and my first time experience didn’t even happen!! THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE AND ILL MAKE SURE TO SPREAD THE WORD. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My husband scheduled a Mothers Day massage but my father n law passed the same weekend. In which, we forgot to call to reschedule but at that moment in time we were honestly not thinking about it. Once, we back in Charlotte after a week with family. We noticed his card was charge $130. I spoke with the girl at the front desk, in which she said the manager will be in the tomorrow at 10. I called the very next day, and my statement was completely ignored. This place has no sympathy for their customers and I will NOT be returning!
I must say after reading the reviews and deciding to give this place a try I am very impressed. Disregard the bad things people have said because my experience was everything they said it would not be. The front desk was very welcoming and my massage therapist fixed my Sciatic nerve in just one session. I am a month out and have not had any pain yet which has NEVER happened to me. I have had multiple massages in my time and by far this place has impressed me the most. Thank you Eric for fixing my back!

Front desk staff is super friendly and helpful (especially compared to the Northlake location where I had a disaster experience trying to cancel my membership). Rhonda is the best therapist and she books up quickly. I feel so much better and love going to this location.
I definitely don’t like giving negative reviews. When I called to schedule the appointment weeks in advance, I clearly stated I wanted a deep tissue or very firm massage. I also stated that my neck has been hurting so that would be the primary area of focus. Neither of which I received. The massage was very light and my neck did not receive the attention that I needed it too. I kind of feel like I waste an hour of my life just to be bathed in excessive oil.
If youre going to choose a home-base for your massage envy account, DO NOT CHOOSE THIS LOCATION. I canceled my membership back in October and they have charged for every month since. It is now February. I had made daily calls in December trying to figure out why I was being charged. No one would answer my calls or return voicemails. Ive been so nice and polite and its gotten me nowhere.I now have to call from different phone numbers to reach this business because they wont answer from my number. I was finally able to reach a manager by calling from another number, and was told they would stop the charges while looking for my cancelation form. Just got another charge. Again, I have never been rude and am understanding when theres a mistake, but at this point this is on purpose.I had to resort to canceling my credit cards. I have ELEVEN massages I cannot use now, fully paid for, because of Massage Envy at Rivergate.Again, DO NOT MAKE THIS YOUR HOME LOCATION. I was happy years ago when I started, now this business has gone so downhill its embarrassing. Its not worth the stress to have to deal with a situation like this.

Booked three weeks in advance due to limited availability only to find out 30 minutes prior to my appointment that my tech is not available. I only found out because I called to confirm the correct location. Everyone was so nonchalant about my inconvenience, I was told that they were aware a week in advance. So there was nothing that could be done on your end to accommodate your clients with a week’s notice? Called last minute to try and get in same day to relieve my neck/shoulder pain that was giving me a horrible headache. The front desk was extremely friendly and helpful and my therapist Jarvis listened to what my problem area were and did an INCREDIBLE job at relieving the pain. It was the best massage I have ever had. I woke up the next day without pain for the first time in weeks!!

To be honest, even though this is the closest location to me, I initially chose not to go to this location because of the bad reviews. But when I called around town to see who else could fit me in at the time I needed, it turns out that they were the only ones who had the availability. I spoke to Ivy on the phone to schedule an appointment. She immediately picked up and was really nice. The booking process was a breeze. Ivy even offered me an introductory rate (first time customer), and a commitment to honor a voucher that had been gifted to me. I told her about my circumstance and needing to relax before a big event the following day, and she booked me with Francesca after assuring me that it would be a great experience. True to her word it was! Francesca is an older lady, with magical hands, literally! Shes very wise, knowledgeable and approachable, and helped me relax. She taught me a lot of things about my body and stress, and she was able to loosen my tight muscles and soothe the soreness I had been experiencing. My body aches were a lot better, and I did make sure to follow her advice to drink plenty of water afterwards to flush out the toxins and avoid migraines. I felt great the next day and was also very calm! Will definitely be going back to the Rivergate location!
ASK FOR JOE!!! He has such a pleasant personality, it really makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. I have lupus and unfortunately I have constant back and joint pain. I walked out of his session mellow and pain free. He did a great job.
I have been a member at Massage Envy going on 7 years now, in 3 different states. I have quite a few credits saved up, and my intention was to go through them and cancel my membership, because I just wasn’t seeing the benefit.. until today. I had a session with Casey at the Rivergate location in a Charlotte, and it was THE BEST massage I’ve ever received. She pin pointed all of the areas that I needed focus on, and I actually walked out feeling wowed. Because of Casey, I will be keeping my membership, and making the drive (past 3 other locations) to the Rivergate location, for my future massages. If you’re looking for a great therapist, ask for Casey!
I have my own reservations about Massage Envy do to a prior experience where they pressured me into a membership. This did not happen at this location, but my massage started late and ended early. I was not overjoyed with the quality of the massage compared to other establishments either. It wasn’t an overall poor experience, but it wasn’t something that made me feel incredibly relaxed or excited to come back.
Terrible experience, time and time again. Do not recommend for prenatal appointments at all. Too many issues to include here, but now 7 months into my second pregnancy, I have still not been able to get an appointment. I have gift cards that I have been trying to use since my first pregnancy with no luck. Staff is rude and there seems to be several people that claim to be the manager. Seems odd to have that many managers for a small location. Last appointment I did successfully make, I was told that they made a mistake and there wasnt anyone there certified for prenatal massage and that I had to leave and reschedule.
Decent massage but, overall, very little attention to the small details that make other Massage Envy locations and spas shine.Had a massage by Crystal and she did a decent job. Certainly not the same overall quality of experience that Ive had at a couple of other Charlotte Message Envy locations. Or anywhere else really. In the past, at other locations, I was greeted very warmly, told who my therapist would be and my therapist reviewed my massage needs and health history with me and made suggestions and recommendations with me post treatment like...make sure you drink water to stay hydrated afterwards, this is what type of massage you might benefit from in the future...At this visit I was greeted and had a very breif overview of health history and my massage needs without even being told who would be performing my massage. I also had a friend who was getting a professional massage for the first time around the same time and I saw the receptionist just bring her into the consultation room with me, handed her a tablet and left her there with no guidance or assistance. It was my friends very first massage ever and she had to ask me how to navigate the tablet along with details about getting a professional massage that should have been the reviewed by the staff, or better yet, her therapist.As stated earlier, my massage was decent but Crystal, my therapist, never did any post treatment review other than how was your massage? then just led me up to check out. My check out was sub par and I just couldnt get over how my friend wasnt initially treated with the same warm, friendly, service I am used to with Massage Envy. Especially since it was her first visit and her first massage ever. I think I will be visiting my other go to Massage Envy locations next time. And just a word of advice for the staff at the Rivergate location...the little details make a big difference. When you dont do those little extra things that other locations and spas do customers wont be as inclined to return.
NORMALLY DON’T GIVE NEGATIVE REVIEWSBUT , Massage was just OKAY. The guy who massaged me hands were cold as ice, he seemed like he had an attitude and he started late but finished on time. I paid $100 (tip included) for my service but it definitely was a waste, was not worth it at all. Honestly disappointed.
Schedule an appointment over a week in advance for a hot stone massage, get too my appointment and they tell me they had have me schedule for a regular massage. You cant begin to believe my frustrations. I have a couple of massage left and I am done. I will not be doing business with them in the future. Not my 1st bad experience, but will be my last. So disappointed.
Christl was AMAZING! Really worked out my kinks and worked with range of motion with stretches, pushed it to the limit and my body is thanking her for it! At the end instead of fussing at me for my lack of regularly scheduled massages and severe tension, she offered helpful tips and areas to work on. Super professional and BY FAR the best massage Ive ever had! She makes me want to actually come back, even without a gift card!
My wife and I have had some bad experiences in the past with other Massage Envy locations. This location really treated me well. I had a great massage this evening from Cait. Staff was personable and punctual. Was not pushy about membership, but did appropriately mention it upon checking out.

I had been a regular client of Massage Envy Steele Creek for going on 9 years. Their management has always been poor but I continued to go there because of the location and the massage therapist I liked.Recently my credit card was stolen so I canceled it and got a new card. Massage envy called me just yesterday, July 28th 2016, for the new number. Today I received a collection letter from them dated TWO DAYS before they ever attempted to call me, July 26th 2016. When I called them to express how upsetting the letter was after years of faithful service the manager said, what do you want me to do about it? It says in the system we emailed you a week ago. When I explained Id never received the email she said, well we sent it. Then I said to cancel my account and she said, okay. Ill send the form.9 YEARS of getting massages there twice a month and this is how they treat me? No apology? Back talk and a too bad so sad attitude. UNREAL!

I had a first-time massage at the Rivergate location in June 2016 that I would rate 3 stars since I requested a relaxing Swedish massage, and the masseuse noticed tension in my shoulders/neck/back and used firmer pressure than requested to remove most (not all) of the tension. The masseuse was very friendly and professional and did a good job of firmer pressure, 1 star removed since I requested relaxing. BUT..the location Id rate 1 star for customer service. I declined to sign up for their membership that requires auto-deducted payments on your credit card for reduced spa services. Since then I have received several emails from Massage Envys mailing list advertising special discount for massages to come back in but when I called to make an appointment was told these emails would probably not be honored by Rivergate location because they might be spam. I was told if I showed up they would decide whether to honor it or not. Since Rivergate location signed me up to receive emails without my approval and refused to honor the email discounts they sent me, I wont go back to this location. There are better spas out there that will provide excellent customer service for far less hassle.
Have always had a great experience here! The front desk is extremely friendly and welcoming, and the treatments are all great and affordable. Im a member at this location, and Shay gives an excellent deep tissue massage. Would highly recommend a monthly visit to anyone!
Customer service lacks professionalism. While I was checking out at the counter during my last visit, one of the front desk workers hung up the phone and turned to another worker and said, Customers dont even listen to the voicemails before they bother to call here. Today I was forwarded to Kirsten or Christian when I called to inquire why I was charged twice in one month for my membership and why no one let me know about it. She acted like I was bothering her, she sounded annoyed and she never apologized for the situation. I found her to be unprofessional, unapologetic and basically unhelpful. Now I understand why there is so much turn over at the Rivergate location. The front desk staff needs training in courteousness.
Jarvis is amazing. He does stretches, deep tissue, plyometrics & is amazing for recovery from a sports or work out related injury. I just tell him what I am dealing with and he goes to work. Ive had 100s massage therapy sessions & Jarvis did 4-5 things no one has ever done before that truly advanced my healing. He doesnt waste a second on unrelated muscle groups, he hits the point Im having pain at immediately and I always leave feeling so much better.Admittedly he is tough to book and I have to book him weeks in advance...but it is well worth it. He is one of the best therapists I have seen and he is the reason to come to ME RiverGate.
The best massages Ive ever had! Ive gone to a couple therapists there and all the therapists are very knowledgeable and I always feel so relaxed after. I definitely recommend getting a 90 minute massage too!DONT FORGET ABOUT THE FACIALS! Their estheticians know their stuff and they are all so sweet. The Murad and the PCA products are amazing and Massage Envy even came out with their own products, the masks and the lip care are awesome :)
We had a horrible experience at Massage Envy. Don’t be fooled like we were. My daughter who is 18 decided it would be nice to get her dad a 1hr massage and a sugar foot scrub for father’s day. So she went to Massage Envy Spa of RiverGate Charlotte NC to get info and purchase a gift card. She was told a 1hr massage would cost $80 since we weren’t members and foot scrub additional $15 totaling $95. Because she didn’t know any better she gave them $95 and got a gift card. A couple days later she gave me the card for father’s day. The next day I called to make an appointment. When I called and told the lady on the other end of the phone that I got a gift card and wanted to set up the massage and scrub she mentioned that there is a possibility that there could be additional cost and the gift card may not cover it. That seemed odd because my daughter specially asked them for these two services and the price and now I was being told there is no guarantee that it will be covered. So I called my daughter to make sure what she asked for is what she paid for and it was. My daughter said that if they give you a hard time return it and we will go somewhere else. So I call massage envy back and they said there are no returns on gift cards. Very odd that wasn’t what my daughter was told when she bought the card. So I decided to use the card and schedule the appointment. My appointment was for 3PM I showed up 30 min early to fill out forms. The lady who went over the forms with me tells me that my 1hr massage is only 50 minutes hands on 5 min to get undressed and 5 min to get dressed for a total of 60 min. Unbelievable!!!!! So I go in the room to get ready there is a digital clock on the wall I kept an eye on it to see if I would even get the full 50mins. Massage started at 3:10PM at 3:42PM the therapist tells me she is going to do foot scrub now. I said what about the 50min massage???? She said the foot scrub is part of that 50min at 3:49PM not only my massage was done but the foot scrub was also. My daughter spent $95 for 32 min massage and a 7 min foot scrub. This is not the way customers should be treated. THIS WAS A TOTAL RIP OFF!!!!! Umberto S.
I have been working at this location and I really enjoy it. The spa is renewed, modern and beautiful. It is a very clean and organized place to receive a great massage. The team workers are very nice and professional. I have received 2 facials so far and I love it. I recomend this spa for clients and workers for sure.
I have been trying to schedule an appointment with them since July. They have canceled every appointment I have made, the day of the appointment. Whatever you do dont schedule with anthony. Apparently he never comes to his appointments because that who they have tried to pair me with everytime. The worst part is that I bought a gift card to give it to my husband as a gift. Now, I cant get the massage and they wont return my money for the gift card even though I havent used it.
5/16/2018I came to massage envy for a 90 minute massage and left feeling incredibly relaxed. I went home and laid down and took a nap which was on cloud 9!The massage therapist did an excellent job and she earned her tip! Thank you for the incredible massage, I’ll be back again!

Massage Envy has practiced criminal behavior by frequently charging credit card for months without offering service or value to the crime. Credit Card Criminal Fraud. For many months, Massage Envy charge my credit card with out my authorization or consent for services which had not been rendered nor being rendered for future services. This is a clear violation of the law and the district attorney will be looped in as well. I asked for credits to be applied, that was refused. I asked for services, that was refused. I asked for alternatives, that was refused. Massage Envy is a clear ongoing criminal enterprise which should be investigated to the fullest extent of the law and charged for ongoing criminal behavior of practicing credit card fraud. Massage Envy is a clear ongoing criminal enterprise which should be investigated at the Federal, State and Local prosecutorial levels! I will loop in the Mecklenburg County DA, the NC State Attorney General and the NC District Federal Prosecutor. The criminal complaint for the repeated consumer violations with the BBB is the best and quickest way to garner Consumer Alerts! I encourage all customers to fully review credit card charges with Massage Envy to assure services have been rendered or you have a reasonable expectation services will be forthcoming as promised.

Massage Envys scarcity mindset plays out when they take your massages (that you paid for) because of a miscommunication, that they could have EASILY fixed by believing their customer of several years. They say they called, they say they sent letters but when you have nothing to show for the hundreds of dollars youve spent there (make that thousands--I bought gift cards for my employees for a few years in a row) you realize youre dealing with a corporate mindset that is all about their own bottomline and not the customer. Class action lawsuits on a regular basis? Check. Outdated and ignorance in dealing with the customer? Check. Im considering a buyer beware write up on my blog and syndicated newspaper column...Im shocked that companies like ME even exist in todays social media and consumer economy. I say not for long!
Horrible! I came all the way from Alabama for a massage.....I was told the morning of my appointment they were double booked! Now there are no available spots! Im so disappointed in my experience with this location. I would NEVER recommend this one.

Ive been trying to get an appt here for some time. I have several unused sessions because each I time I call, there is an issue. If Im lucky enough to get someone on the phone, they are full and its 3 to 4 weeks before they have appt available. Most often I get lost in the automated system...you can press 1 for appts (where you will hear invalid entry and you can press 2 for concierge (where you will also hear invalid entry. I found my way to an actual voicemail (by accident) but of course I did not receive a call back. Im cancelling my membership...because $65/month is too much for a visit that you cant book!
I have been a member for almost 10 years now. I love this place for relaxation & tense muscles. Everyone I have encountered has been very courteous & professional. I feel very comfortable at Massage Envy Rivergate.
Lee is an asset to the company when it comes to his deep tissue massage. The only thing I hate about this location is that the rooms are freezing and they have the air on at the wrong times. Lee turns on table warmer and I still am cold due to the tempature of the room.
