Really cool place that will bring back memories. Just go and you wont regret it!UPDATE 2021 visitWe went the again for our anniversary this year. Still loved this place. Just FYI, we reserved a VIP table upstairs when we got there and it was $80 for the night. It was very nice to know we had a comfy booth to go back to after dancing for a bit. We got there about 9 and had no problem getting the table.They have updated some of their furnishings which was very nice touch. Willa add more pics soon.

The people working at the entrance were rude and had an attitude like they didnt want to be there. Not a good way to get people hyped up upon entry. The $10 cover charge was excessive for what this place actually has to offer in terms of aesthetics. Everything felt gross, and I didnt want to touch anything. Bathrooms were nasty, bar seems like a biohazard just looking at it. Half of the games didnt work in the arcade area. They are also scammy about coat service and try their hardest to take your coat without telling you theyre going to charge you $2 if you leave your coat with them. Dance floor doesnt open up until 10:30, however they didnt have this area blocked off earlier in the night, so when my group tried walking down the steps, everyone working there started aggressively yelling at us that the downstairs wasnt open, almost like we should have known? Except there was no sign out. Not our fault.Not a very hospitable place, I wont be coming back or recommending it to anyone. Only decent thing was the drink prices. Seems to have potential and a following, they just need to work on attitudes and aesthetics.

Great place to hang with friends. Went just the ladiesand had absolutely the greatest time ever. Jody you are the beat. We will be back and thanks to a memorable night.

I went last night for my 49th birthday and had THE best time! One of the girls in my group reserved a VIP table and told them what we were coming for. From the time we walked up to the door I was treated like a superstar. They knew my name and was waiting on my arrival. I was made to feel very special on my day and the music hit all night. I will definitely have to go back! Thanks for a great night!!!

I LOOOOVED this club! Haven’t had this much fun at a club in a long time! Everyone is super friendly and nice! The bartenders and staff are really nice people! And the DJ (Jody) played AMAZING 80s and 90s music! I will definitely be coming back!

First time at the Roxbury and it was the most fun I’ve had at a nightclub. The music was awesome and the drinks were strong. It was super crowded down stairs which surprised me but I wasn’t bothered by it. We got there at 11:30 and waited maybe 5 minutes to get in. We were there until the placed closed down. If you know your 80s/90s stuff then this is the place for you. I also loved the fact that there was a patio up stairs if you needed some fresh air. Will definitely be going back soon!

Everyone is super friendly! The DJ, bartenders and security were all lovely. The Roxbury is spacious and the dance floor in the basement is super fun and spunky. Great crowd to dance with too! I plan on coming back for another night of fun.

Based on the recommendations of a couple of friends I decided to celebrate my birthday here on a Friday night. It was my first time and most of my friends first time coming here but we all enjoyed it and had a fun night! Everything is 80s/90s themed including the decor and drink names. Its two floors with a bar on each floor, there is a dance floor downstairs and more of a seated area on the main floor but you can hear the music anywhere. They also have a large patio area with another bar and seating which is where we spent the last hour of the night once we got too warm inside (they had free cups of water outside too). It isnt your typical club scene which was a breath of fresh air, we werent bothered by anyone throughout the night and everyone there seemed pretty cool and relaxed. The DJ takes requests (80s/90s music of course) and did play the songs we requested. Overall it was a really cool place that I would go back to anytime! The cover was $5 on a Friday.The only negative was that the mixed specialty drinks were a bit pricey and not strong. They had some drink specials but nothing too appealing to my friends and I. Also, its 21+ only for anyone thats wondering. My sister wasnt able to celebrate with me because of that, I figured it would be 18+ based on the theme of the club and it wasnt advertised anywhere online.

First time at the Roxbury and it was the best time Ive had at a club. The music was marvelous and the beverages were solid. It was really packed down steps which astonished me however I wasnt annoyed by it. We arrived at 11:30 and stood by perhaps 5 minutes to get in. We were there until the set shut down. Assuming you know your 80s/90s stuff this is the best spot for you. I likewise adored the way that there was a deck up steps in the event that you required some outside air. Will be returning soon!

Downstairs is like a dirty frat party, except there are old white men in suits. Terrible service. Was accused with my group of stealing a drink by a bartender when the drink was clearly handed to us. Even with bouncers backing us up we were not served. Music is good but I can drink and have the same experience at a local arcade without the drama or $10 cash entrance fee.

This bar has so much depth! There are 3 levels and so many different things to do. There’s an arcade, several bars, and downstairs dance floor. So much fun!!! Stacey and Shauna were absolutely amazing and made our anniversary trip so celebratory and amazing!

Great place to party for 40 & above. Came for the 1st time last year September 30th for my birthday and have been back twice since. Its my 25th Anniversary and we are in Charlotte going to Roxbury tonight, 11/26/22!

To be completely honest we should have stayed home! The music wasnt the 80s/ 90s music we expected. The basement does give wild, dirty frat party vibes. And judging by the crow it seemed like a LGBT club....

Went for the Halloween bar crawl. Minus there being way too many people in there which is a huge fire hazard. The bathrooms were DISGUSTING. My gf tried going to the bathroom there were only 3 stalls one of them was completely filled with toilet paper and there was no toilet paper in the other stalls. Also went to the patio and she said she was no longer serving beer.

Club was jam packed with dancers, drinkers, and just down party people. Good DJ on the bottom and top. A bit muggy at times from being so packed. Great 👐 jams to vibe with. Bartenders are quick and cool. Me and my cousin had a blast at this spot. :)

Stopped in this bar after dinner. The name caught my attention on the way to restaurant because one of our favorite movies is A Night At the Roxbury. We were out for my sister and brother in law anniversary so i asked if we could stop in and they agreed. Best decision ever! It had the Roxbury movie playing on the screens. The music was all 80s and after the movie was over they played music videos with the songs. In a room off to the side was an arcade with 80s video games. It was Halloween weekend so people came in dressed which made it more fun. There were other floors so there’s plenty of room for people. We went early and the crowds started coming in around 11ish. Definitely recommend for a fun night out if you enjoy the 80s as much as we do.

Roxbury was awesome! Fast drink service, good prices & great music. Had a great time dancing and singing along to all the 80s & 90s music. Would definitely come back

Moms night out has never been so much fun! In town for a visit and we discovered this amazing spot! Deena couldn’t have been more helpful- even wrote down some great spots for us to check out during the weekend. Love the music, loved the patio- we will return!!!

At both bars, I wasnt served until the men in my party went to order. I watched literally the guys around me, including the people that came to the bar after me, served first. I gave up both times and let the men in our group order drinks since thats apparently the only way you get help.Music is great though, just get a man to order for you to get help at the bar.

Came to town for a bachelorette and our theme of the weekend was 90s, the bride wanted us all to dress up as different Brittney’s and go out. This was the PERFECT place for that! It felt like partying in a basement up north, we all felt so nostalgic with the glow sticks and music and everyone had a great time, great mix of people!

Me and a few friends went to Roxbury 5-14-22 I got in at 12 and ordered a drink at 1218 at the front of the bar. After the bartender finished pouring I went to get a lime and the bartender lady aggressively pulled my arm away from the limes and said dont reach in my refrigerator I said sorry then I go to get a straw and she yelled at me about that too and got me kicked out after I paid with credit card. She said she would refund me though. THIS AGRESSIVE USELESS BARTENDER HAS NO BUSINESS GRABBING CUSTOMERS LOOKING FOR A STRAW! I spoke to the guy working the front and told him what happened he said just ask for him next time to get in free next time.

I loved this place. Visited from NYC and I was immediately captivated by this place. You are teleported back to a time before cells phones and facebook. Great place for Gen Xers, millennials, boomers, and Zrs to mingle. They have a game room if you just want to lounge and playnsome galaga. They have an outdoor patio where you can lounge or play their huge tik tak toe game. This place is definitely the place to get your 90s funk on.

I had the best time here ever by myself I felt safe and excited to see the videos of MTV on the screens it’s a little tight down stairs dancing but I found me a spot n the corner by the speaker and fan and I was n heaven great music 🎶

Great music, but both times I went the arcade was half broken. The one game I did use looked like it worked but only one button worked and I just sat there and died or jumped. They said they knew the machines were broken and wont fix them. They basically just keep them there to steal your money and hope you dont ask for it back. Also the door guys are pretty cool.

Loved the music videos projected on the wall, strobing lights, disco balls and 80s/ 90s memorabilia. Plus the deck outside was a nice place to cool off. I really miss this place and cant wait for it to reopen.

This is a fun spot, and I dont particularly like music from the 80s. However, the basement is like being at a frat party, and the place must have been 100 degrees. Drinks were very reasonable.

Genuine 50/60s dance club with two levels and a patio. Most of the patrons werent even born when these song came out. A few of us OGs in there

This club is great for old skool 80s and 90s music!! The ppl there were friendly and very enjoyable to watch dance. Loved the tvs showing all the videos to the songs playing!! Prices are very reasonable for this being a downtown club.

The drinks arent going to knock your socks off, but they will fuel the ecstasy of what is the best generational music in all of history. Spend a few minutes here and you will cave to belting out lyrics while 80-90s nostalgia pumps through speakers, tvs, and your veins. Just give in and let it all out.

Sketchy place. Roxbury charges everyone a $10 cash cover and the card minimum is $10.00. Two of my friends we went out with got pick-pocketed and lost their phones/wallets...So thats the kind of crowd it brings. The basement feels like a dirty frat house but if thats your style then go all for it. They also are only open Friday and Saturday which makes no sense for an establishment.

Awesome Atmosphere ! 5 dollar cover Charge. Had 5$ Fireballs and 3 $ draft I believe. Top Floor has bar on right side, Huge TVs playing old school music videos. Has a small arcade on the top floor to really add to the old school vibe. Towards the back of the club there are stairs leading down to the Dance floor. Everyone was sooo awesome and just showing nothing but good Vibes and love for those eras of music. Such and Awesome experience , Especially the Spin the Bottle Dance off game. I would advise people to pre game alittle because the bar tenders do get overwhelmed , so by the time you get your drinks you would prob lose your buzz during the wait lol .they also have 80s and 90s themed drinks.

Great venue with fantastic music from the 80s and 90s. Loved how they had a basement AND a classic game room. Cant wait to come back when it gets warmer to enjoy the patio area.

There needs to be more places like this. What an absolute awesome place. If youre thinking about going, stop thinking, and just Go! You will not be disappointed as long as youre a fan of the 80s,90s music.

Good nightclub. Brings me back to the old ol days. Theres a lot more 90s than 80s music and gets busy Saturday night. The cover charge went up to $7 but still a great place to go for some fun dancing.

One of the only “clubs” I’ll go to. Such a great atmosphere. Great music. And the basement reminds me of a frat house in college. Helps me relive my colleges days and I’m all for it!

DO NOT go here if you are expecting as advertised. Went on a Friday night. No seating. Simply two dance floors and a bar. 18+ crowd. Mainly 18 to young 20s. Save your money. Go somewhere else.DO NOT GO HERE!!

No doubt in my mind that The Roxbury will always be the best club in Charlotte. Total sickness and mental illness 80s & 90s music. The staff is always a joy to be around. To bad Im moving back to my home State soon. I will deeply miss this amazing club & staff. Thank you.

Great environment regardless of what youre looking for. Outside area is great to socialize and theres also spots to dance. Drinks are a little pricey but not too bad for charlotte. Would recommend

Its the best place to go and dance. Everyone is friendly and out for a good time.The music is perfect. The people are all ages.So it is easier to mix in and have a lot of fun.

Loved the old school hits! Downstairs was super hot but when you cram a ton of people in a basement what do you expect? Bartenders were nice and accommodating.

Great place. Worth the $7 cover charge, but you have to watch the barenders. They tried to change the price on the same drink as well as the second one was mostly ice.

Love this place, very large, lots of dance and mingle space, 3 or 4 bars I think. Great outside area, great staff. Fun music and people.

The atmosphere inside this club is vibrant, unfortunately your experience may be ruined by poor customer service. From the bouncer, to the bar staff, to their social media manager, it is evident this business does not know how to treat its customers.

Seems like it wouldve been fun if my fiancée and I couldve actually found out where to even park to get in.Drove 45 mins just to turn around for vacation.

Service is easily ticked off. They’ll kick you out if simple addition is involved in paying a tab. Despite the employees, very fun place to be on a Friday night.
