Ive been coming here for 8 months and love it. Dr. Schey is phenomenal at making patients feel taken care of and providing the best possible care. Every appointment she checks in with me and always listens to what I have to say, more than happy to adjust to my needs. As a new patient I couldn’t be more pleased with the care I’ve received. I first called them after resolving to finally get care for severe pain that advanced to the point of me limping due to muscle spasms and an angry back knot that I’ve had for the last 6 months. They were able to fit me into the schedule the same day I called and within three visits my condition improved drastically! I came to Advanced Spine and Sport with some really bad lower back pain. I had been going to a regular physical therapist for about two week prior with zero improvement. I assumed I would be destined for surgery. Here I am about a month later and I’m pain free. I have full trust in Dr. Ingham and Dr Shay’s plan to get me back to my normal active life and correct the root of the problems of my recurrent back.

I absolutely love this office. I’m 2 months into my care plan and i already have noticed such impressive results. I can only imagine how I’m going to feel by the end of my treatment. Michael Hearne is the best massage therapist I have ever had. I have been getting chiropractic care and massages for at least 15 years now but this place is one of the best- the staff is friendly and the chiropractor are caring.

I have been going to Advanced Spine & Sports Care for just over a month, and my experience so far has honestly been life changing. I have contemplated going to see a chiropractor/physical therapist for years now due to severe back and neck pain from gymnastics, and I am so happy I finally chose to go here. Before I began treatment, Marcy and Dr. Schey sat down with me and addressed my pain areas and my financial/insurance concerns. I was so happy with how genuine, empathetic, and transparent they were with the process. They went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and the entire staff continues to do so throughout every single visit. I was also very impressed that they do X-Rays and provide a full treatment plan since many places I am familiar with dont offer that. I have had a wonderful experience with my care here. I am a nurse and recovering from a work injury and it has truly made living my day to day life much easier and almost completely pain free. Everyone in the office is so kind, always helpful, and great at explaining your care and why they do the things they do. I absolutely love this chiropractor! The doctor and secretary or amazing. They make you feel like you’re the only customer they have. I’ve had back problems for going on 5 years now and have had multiple different types of treatment, and this place has been the most thorough and helpful. The staff is very welcoming and and makes you feel like home. The doctors explain things well and are transparent in doing so, which you don’t find everywhere. Have been coming here the past few days and I have been feeling great. Had my 5 week old baby checked out because she has been fussy when laying on her back. I’ve had a great experience with this clinic. I went in last summer barely able to walk after severely injuring my back. Dr Ingham and the rest of the staff were very kind and helpful. From the very beginning the plan they put together was very detailed, and the different steps and stages were explained to me in detail. I understood what to expect and when throughout each stage the treatment. There were various changes made throughout the plan to accommodate my responses to treatment or different needs.Special call out to Dan, the physical therapist. I’ve gone to many different places for rehab from injuries, and usually feel like I’m set to do something and going thru things on my own. Even when Dan has multiple patients he’s working with, he takes the time to show them the exercises and check they are doing them properly. As recovery has progressed, he will change up the exercises and explains how each one will help with recovery.This isn’t the place for “just wanting an adjustment”. But if you truly want long term care from people that want to help, will take an interest in you as a patient and a person, and are open to explaining all your questions so you can understand the treatment and maintenance, this is the right place for that.

Everyone at Advanced Spine is GREAT! Massage therapists Lee, Gigi and Ashley provide excellent therapeutic massage. All the docs are good but, Dr. Mcteer is the BEST!!! I believe she will finally succeed in helping me to find the proper treatment I will need to escape the pain and have been suffering with since 2017. She listens, is patient and very thorough. I have been a patient with ASSC since February 2022, and they have been nothing less than wonderful the entire time! They provide care that is genuinely patient-centered - staff and clinicians alike make active efforts to make their practices safe and affirming for trans folks, fat folks, and neurodivergent folks (I’m someone who is all three!). When I broke my ankle mid-treatment plan, they pivoted immediately to ensure I had access to physical therapy. I felt so much more at ease working with a familiar physical therapist, and my recovery went much smoother thanks to ASSC. I have been overwhelmingly pleased with the care Ive received at Advanced Spine & Sports Care. Dr. Schey and the entire staff make an effort to get to know me as a person (beyond just a patient) which makes me feel more comfortable when I go to my appointments, and makes it easier for me to trust them as providers that they have my best interests in mind. I notice the ways that they customize treatment plans to the individual needs of each patients situation. When I moved to Chicago and I sought chiropractic care (after having received care previously across other big cities & small towns), I can confidently say ASSC provides the most thorough chiropractic care I have ever experienced. The neck & back pain that brought me to seek care at ASSC feels much better as I near the end of my treatment plan, and I know that I now have strategies on hand to care for any future pain, and that I have a continuing resource on hand in the knowledge of Dr. Schey and the staff at ASSC if needed. Went to see Dr. McTeer for my neck pain today and left feeling like a new woman! When I first walked in the staff was incredibly friendly and got me checked in right away. I was offered refreshments as I checked in then got taken back to get treated. Dr. McTeer was so kind as she listened to my complaints and provided me care. I felt like my pain was taken seriously and treated effectively. My experience overall was a 10/10 and I will be back for future care!

I came into Advanced Spine last Spring with serious mobility issues in the midst of a family emergency, and over the past five months they’ve offered best in class care and a warm and welcoming environment.I very much like that it’s an LGBTQ and woman led space, and Dr Ingram, Dr Schey, Dr McTeer and Marcie are all awesome, as is Dan, Lee and all the support staff.They were helpful with financing beyond what my insurance covered, and I appreciate that they treat folks from all walks of life, not just those with deep pockets.I always feel cared for and right at home.

THE BEST IN CHICAGO: Throughout 2022, I suffered from intermittent lumbar back pain, which morphed into a chronic and severe situation in early 2023. I had previously visited other chiropractic and physical therapist offices. The story was always the same: a prognosis (incorrect) followed by in-office visit exercises. Surgery was even floated at one point! All of “those visits” proved, once again, to be unsuccessful. The pain continued until I discovered Advanced Spine and Sports Care.I had an initial consultation with Dr. Jason Ingham. After a brief discussion of my symptoms, and a quick evaluation, Dr. Ingham literally nailed the source cause of the pain - BEFORE taking x-rays. Films confirmed my hip level was significantly off (11.4 mm, big YIKES!), which resulted in debilitating lower back pain. After completing a treatment plan, which included physical therapy, my hip level measurement decreased down to a normal range of 4 mm.I am now “back to good” again and doing all the things I enjoy - hanging with family and friends, biking, yard work, gym, and international travel. No joke - after just the first few weeks of visits, it was as if the heavens parted and the angels began singing (my back pain was FINALLY going away)! :)Dr. Ingham, Dr. Schey, and Dr. McTeer, are all amazing - professional, knowledgeable, attentive (delightful too!), and are genuinely concerned about improvement and your spinal health. The team at AS&SC provides the best chiropractic experience I have had. They solve the immediate pain and put a physical therapy plan in place to solve the underlying issues, which is something I have not experienced with other chiropractors. I hurt my lower back at the gym. Went to the ER the night before and showed up for my first appointment the next day. They helped me more than the hospital and my pain levels are decreasing with each visit. I’ve experienced a night and day difference after just 4 visits. The staff is very friendly and it’s obvious they’re patient focused and not just going through the motions. I will probably continue visiting for regular adjustments after my back is better!

Before attending Advanvced Spine & Sports Care Clinic I was experiencing terrible pain in my back and leg due to sciatica. After three days of treatment I was able to walk without back pain. I had almost given up and resigned to the idea that I may never feel good again. I didnt like the idea of chiropractors as I am was afraid something would really get messed up. But they worked with me through PT (Dan was amazing) and gentle manipulations. Before seeing Dr Schey, I contemplated an invasive surgery (thank God I didnt go that route ).Now my teenage daughter, who rowed varsity in high school is a patient of Dr Schey and most recently, my husband, who just fractured both of his elbows mountain biking. What an amazing experience from the moment I walked through the door to my exit. They gave me a nice little gift and card, walked me through the facility explaining all their capabilities, their community outreach, and events. Dr. Schey patiently listened to my health history and what my recovery goals were and assuring me that they would work with me and my insurance to make sure those goals were met without overwhelming me financially. Everyone is so kind and positive! Ive never been to such a full-service chiropractor/physical therapist/massage/etc office as Advanced Spine! Ive been lucky enough to meet all three doctors and theyre all incredibly knowledgeable and qualified. I plan to continue my treatment beyond the initial consult and first 3 sessions.4 stars because the treatment isnt cheap. Still, I believe theyre genuinely fixing the issues with my spine and not just adjusting me when I ask (like many other chiropractors in the area that Ive been to).

I want to thank Advanced Spine & Sports Care for the help I received in November 2022. I had four therapy sessions there, and I was quite impressed by the efficiency and friendliness of the team. The service is perfectly organized: the patient is greeted at the door and quickly checked in, and then taken immediate care of at all stages of treatment so that there is no time wasted waiting. The open floor plan and the alertness of the staff make sure that one is always looked after. I was treated by Dr. Leibovitz who was very professional, knowledgeable, and patient. She evaluated my condition, we discussed the treatment at length, and she answered all my questions. And then the actual treatment was great and it helped. The pain in my neck subsided and now I am much better. At the end of my treatment a rehab specialist Dan Hartney recommended and demonstrated a set of exercises that I find very helpful. I was suffering from a hamstring injury when I started at Advanced Spine and Sports Care. I was struggling run and workout at the level I wanted to because of the chronic pain. After a few weeks of appointments I feel markedly better and on the mend. I was even able to run my 10k race as planned and PR! I was very impressed with the thorough, wholistic, and thoughtful care I received. Dr. Schey supported by desire to continue to be physical and help me to rehab safely and quickly. I had a bulging disc in my lower back in 2013 and was told during the fall of 2018 that I had bulging discs in my neck and shoulder (both sides) although one particular side always gave me much more pain than the other. I had been in chronic pain since last year, having to take pain pills for relief, seeing two different physical therapists and one other chiropractor... they was not able to help me. I learned about Advanced Spine and Sports and found them to be pleasant, caring, concerned and very professional. They will go above and beyond help you, and I feel like whenever I am there for treatment and care that I am in very capable and professional hands. I have been going for about a month so far, I have been doing my recommended exercises at home, drinking more water and eating more fruits and vegetables... they are concerned about your overall health. I have noticed some positive improvements already, some days are better than others. I look forward to being pain free without having to take pain pills to make it through each day when my treatment plan is complete. I love the doctors and the entire staff there, I am glad I found them and I would highly recommend them.

I first went here a little over two months ago for a wrist injury where I couldnt put any weight on it. I hadnt been to a chiropractor before so I was a little nervous and not entirely sure what to expect. Two months later, I can gladly say this has been and continues to be one of the greatest things Ive done with my life! I want to leave my experience with this wonderful staff at Adv Spine & Sports Care. I had been in a lot of pain with my R knee I had an X-ray done twice, went to see an Ortho Specialist at the Hospital advised me my knee is ok nothing wrong I felt uncomfortable with the answers I got asked for an MRI they said No not needed at the time. I decided to google other options came across Adv Spine best call I ever did. Met with Erin heard my issues as my R knee pain was still there sent me to get an MRI diagnosed with Patella Shift Laterally. Advised to do PT w/Dan going from not being able to walk properly (cried at my first day) walking with a brace and sometimes a cane was needed to now jumping with no pain/discomfort (crying of happiness, tears of joy). Will definitely recommend Adv Spine and their Awesome Staff.

I have had wonderful experiences with Advanced Spine and Sports Care! My first visit they were very welcoming and provided a thorough introduction to the facility and all that I could leverage their team for. Dr. Rachel and team were very attentive to my needs and why I was visiting and also provided a lot of insight on what they were doing and the goals of doing so. Great Staff. All very welcoming. Went in with reoccurring low back pain and within a few visits was ~80% better. Would have given 5 stars but it does feel very rushed and assembly line-esque with the same initial treatments and adjustments done to essentially every patient. With that being said, they are good at what they do and have a system that works. Will return.

I came here after having chronic migraines (between 1-3 headaches a day) and after just a few visits, the ASSC team had put together a full treatment plan for me. Fast forward two weeks and the headaches have subsided significantly! I went from getting 12-15 per week to only having 4-6 in the same amount of time. The staff is always kind, attentive and easy to talk to. The doctors are knowledgeable and always available for questions. This place is amazing!

This was my first time at a chiropractor and it was a terrific experience! I was a little nervous, but Anna walked me through the experience and the paperwork before I came in, making it very easy. I got a little tour of the office and then I discussed my pain and activity with Dr. Schey and she talked me through how the rest of the visit would go. I was able to get an x-ray of my neck, where I’ve been having pain. Dr. Schey and I looked at the X-ray together and she gave me at-home treatments I can do. The rolling tables treatment was my favorite, but I liked the adjustment and the stimming as well. Each step was optional and was well-explained ahead of time. And I got a free hat!

From my first contact at the office with Ame I felt welcome and concern for my discomfort. I have had ongoing moderate and sometimes severe back pain for several years and tried two previous chiropractors and one other insurance provided physical therapist with only temporary relief but no lasting pain improvement. I was ready for something different and having noticed a sign on the outside of the building about spinal decompression made me give this office a try. And I couldnt be happier. While I still have some level of pain there is definite improvement, but above all, everyone in the office truly has an interest in getting me lasting results. And I mean everyone.: doctors and staff. The level of customer service is unrivaled. The office is busy, however at every appointment I am greeted with a friendly smile and your treatment starts on time. Brandon and Stefany were incredibly helpful and engaging at my spinal decompression sessions and Dan in physical therapy has structured a program for me that is getting positive results. HIs attention to detail and level of expertise is fantastic. No one wants to be a forever patient but if there was a place where it was necessary this would be it!

I came in for a consultation with the hopes to heal my tennis elbow I’ve had for a year. Advanced Spine & Sports Care has given me the ability to run when I thought my days of running were behind me. When I attempted to exercise, it would end in shin splints regardless of stretching, strength training and duration of rest. My shin splints became so unbearable, I was unable to walk short distances without excruciating pain. After some research, I found Advanced Spine & Sports Care. Upon arrival I knew this would transcend the type of care I have received in the past; this was an experience rather than a visit to the doctor. The attention to detail is exceptional - from a card signed by each of the staff members to an efficient check-in process. At my first visit the doctor listened intently and provided thoughts on my injury. After reviewing my x-rays he laid out my path to wellness clearly - from what would be done to complete cost for treatment. After a few visits, I am able to run small distances without pain. I came in for a pinched nerve with severe neck and shoulder pain, and they didnt just fix the symptoms. Where do I start? They welcomed me as soon as I walked in. They explained everything in detail. The massage tables are my favorite but I love everything here. I admit I came in as a skeptic but I am amazed at how much better I already feel after just a few weeks. I really hurt my lower back and couldn’t walk for a few days so went in for a consultation and within a few days they diagnosed the issue and worked on me and I was walking within a week with no pain (and have had minimal since). After working at assc for a few months I not only was able to get my life back but I was able to get back my independence at work. I can now lift all of my own equipment but at the same time I was able to learn how I wanted to be treated in the workplace with my condition and how I wanted to treat others. It helped me form a more structured working environment for myself and my peers with a better understanding of my abilities while working towards my goal of being completely pain free. I’m always impressed by the professionalism and efficiency of the staff and appreciate the flexibility in scheduling to fit my busy lifestyle.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for over a year. Advanced Spine and Sports Care is fabulous. I can’t even say “ They Treat You Like Family” because they legit treat me better than my family (sorry ma). I woke up with terrible neck pain and one of my friends suggested Advanced Spine and Sports Care. Marcy answered the phone and I immediately fell in love with her. She was SO sweet and personable ( hard to find in Chicago). I walked in two hours later, had a consultation with Dr. Shey, we talked about our favorite Peloton instructor( Tunde, obvi), she created a perfect program for me and it was a done deal. I started the program and after just 2 weeks my neck started feeling better. And don’t even get me started on their massages, magical. All the employees are amazing and so helpful and actually love their job ( which is rare). Not to mention their music choices are always on point.

(My husband has a lung condition- so being in doors with any kind of exposure To anything is risky for our family.) the office had me in and out quickly. Have been with them for more than 2 years! Very pleasant experience. Friendly and professional doctors and staff. Services include adjustment, massage, physical therapy, and personalized orthopedic support to get a wholistic treatment for your body! I started with chiropractic adjustment because my right hand and fingers had some numbness which was quite scary to me and then got my spine and neck corrected and the numbness went away after serval months. To maintain and learn how to take good care of my body, I am visiting them very week for different care. Highly recommend!

I went to Advanced Spine & Sports Care with the most terrible neck pain. Their treatment was so thorough, they even took an x-Ray which was super interesting being able to physically see what was causing the pain. They set me up with a great regiment and I felt better after just the 3rd visit. When my health insurance changed I was devastated to have to stop going due to lack of coverage. If my insurance ever changes again I will definitely be back!

This is a great chiropractor facility. The staff and doctors address the root of your pain. Ive been coming here since 2017 to address my back, shoulders, neck, and migraines. While the doctors offer adjustments, they also provide massages and physical therapy to help strengthen weak areas. The staff and doctors really care about each individual. You can tell that each employee loves working there and is invested in staying at this practice. The doctors, personal trainer, massage therapists, and the remaining professionals are trained and qualified to address a patients needs. Additionally, they attend MANY training courses throughout the year to hone and finesse the practice.Depending on your plan, you may have to come multiple times a week. As time intensive as this may be for some individuals, I noticed positive results and less pain. This facility is now part of my everyday routine.Side note: Theres three free parking spots in the back, for the patients. (On Saturdays, the nearby church allows the chiropractic patients to park in their parking lot.)

I have nothing but great things to say about this place. The staff Ive had the opportunity to work with have been nothing less than nice, professional and knowledgeable. They put me on a routine that was suspect at first, but over time, I have notice the change in my body (needles to say, they know what they are doing). I can finally run again without back and hip pain. Dr. Nguyen has been amazing and very helpful regarding my progression by not only offering adjustments, but passive stretching and other self-care tips. I highly recommend visiting at least once to create your own ideas, but my experience has been great.

Before starting therapy at Advanced Spine and Sports Care I was having chronic debilitating headaches, but now after about a month or two of treatment the headaches are gone and I’m feeling great. I came in for a consultation with the hopes to heal my tennis elbow I’ve had for a year. Within seconds of walking through the front door I was welcomed with open arms.Dr. Schey and the whole team has taken care of me for the last 5 weeks. It has been easy to book appointments. They are also very knowledgeable and answer any questions or concerns I have.Update:Over the last couple months my tennis elbow is healing and feels so much better now. This is very important to me because I love weight training and I am not as restricted to movement and weight as I was prior to coming here.Update:It has been about 7-8 months since I’ve been working with my friends at ASSC. I am a bodybuilder so working out is a big part of my life. I am happy to say that my tennis elbow is now completely gone. I am no longer restricted at the gym. Symmetry is also a large part of bodybuilding. I’ve noticed I don’t have to tweak my body as much as I used to when I go up in my poses which is amazing! I’m normally not one to write such a LONG review, but in this case, it’s 100% necessary and DESERVING of one.When I was 21 I was hit by a car while crossing the street. Thankfully I walked away with a few bruises, scrapes, and some major soreness. The intensity of the impact should’ve left me a lot worse than I was. That being the case, The Dr’s told me I might not feel it now, but give it 10 years…. and boy were they right!During the height of the pandemic, it started in my neck. Soreness, immobility of my neck, migraines. I finally started looking for chiropractor’s in the area, and based on the reviews, I booked a consultation. From the moment I first spoke to them on the phone, to present day, I have never experienced a health care office like this one. From the friendly welcoming staff, to the way everyone knows and remembers what’s going on in my personal life and why I’m there in the first place, it is truly like going to see my friends at this point.Friends who are helping me get relief :)Aside from just having a great staff, they are all extremely knowledgeable about what each other offer, and being able to direct you to Try trigger point, or maybe incorporating a massage into your alignments.In terms of my treatment I’ve moved a lot faster than the timeline they laid out. I can feel the clicking in my neck move with every session, which means it’s healing (trust me I asked if that’s a good thing!) But everything from the alignments, the trigger point, the massage, and suggestions & exercises to do in between and at home has been superb! I haven’t started PT yet, but I can only imagine it will continue to strengthen what brought me there in the first place.It’s been about 2 months, and as I sit here and write this, I can’t believe the difference in how my neck feels now versus then. I am so pleased with the Doctors, the staff, and the treatments they do! I first sought out help from their office for my chronic headaches and migraines. Which after a few weeks of treatment, has already helped me tremendously! When they ask how you are feeling, they genuinely care and want to help alleviate your pain. I love that its not just an 90 second adjustment, but part of a comprehensive treatment plan. You start out on a table that preps your body for the adjustment, they then use a STIM machine with a heating pad on the area of your body that is acting up that day, and they also offer massage therapy which I do every week. I have Fibromyalgia and a Spinal condition, which they are now treating as well - and with the help of everyone in their office and all the work they do, I have more good days than ever. I also want to say that that STAFF IF INCREDIBLE. In this day and age, its rare I find myself happy with customer service, but at Advanced Spine & Sports Care, each member of their team is so welcoming and exceptionally kind. I highly recommend this company!

You are strongly encouraged to enter an extended program to make sure everything is properly fixed (rather than just a spot fix and sending you on your way), but I found this is definitely the way to go. Like 10 stars.Ive been visiting Dr. Schey and team since way BEFORE Advanced Spine & Sports Care landed in their Lakeview location. Im a rusty old athlete / weekend warrior and by day I sit at a desk and stare at a computer screen. Thats possibly the worst combination for your body, and I too often feel broken down and achy. Its not fun.However, I always have somewhere to go. I can call Dr. Erin & team and they happily accommodate my wacky schedule. Every single person there is friendly (and Ive grown to know a few, considering many have stayed together for years) and they all care about making my creaky back and neck feel better.They really are a very important part of my day to day, and I always like to shout out for great people and great service!

I love this place! Everyone who works here is doing their best to see you moving again with no pain. I sought Chiropractic treatment for radiating nerve pain down my right leg. The pain completely debilitated me and left me unable to walk, sit, or stand without extreme sciatic nerve pain. Ive had tight stiffness in my neck, and my back around my shoulders have been in pain to the point where it was intolerable. I am a professional baseball player and it is at the utmost importance that I can be as flexible and mobile as I can. Now I am half way through my program here and my neck is back to normal (only took 2 weeks for that to heal) and my shoulder pain is now gone. My performance in training has had no more slow downs and I can continue to train at the rate I should be!

Resolving the lower back pain achieves more than you think. Advanced Spine & Sports Care provided expert explanation of what I had to deal with and my options for treatments at various costs to me. After my first few weeks of treatment on the Axiom Spine Decompression equipment the pain went away, my blood pressure returned to normal, my tension eased up in a way that I could get deep sleep for one in a long time. The treatment was painless, the staff respectful, courteous and professional. It is unusual to find any business with such honestly good people to work with.

I am so glad that I met with Dr. Schey. She had X-rays taken and clearly explained the source of the problem.Moreover, she recommended treatment that is not invasive. I was in excruciating sciatica pain (lower back pain with pain radiating down my left leg), for over a year. I had never had much luck with chiropractic care before, but Dr. Ingham convinced me to commit to a thorough ongoing regimen, and within a month I was seeing noticeable results. I’ve been coming into Advanced Spine and Spirts Care for around two years. Originally I needed a chiropractor for continued care after my allotment ran out at a chain chiro practice. The doctors are all very thorough and I’ve been able to notice a difference in the curvature of my spine in their X-rays. I feel great too. I also needed to have exceptional posture for a role in a film. I only had two months to get there but their physical therapy regimen got me prepared and once the trailer dropped I had old friends commenting my posture specifically. As a practice it seems like their always trying something new. Whether it’s for customer appreciation dinners/ cocktail hours (pre-covid), food/toy drives or using new technology to get their story out, it’s always fun to see what their up to beyond the practice.
