Overall service was great! The receptionist was extremely inviting and relatable. The massage therapist were amazing, I was so relaxed!

This place was the very best place to get a couple massage. My girlfriend and I got ours last Friday and it felt great. I advise anyone that wants a couple massage to go to this place. You won’t be disappointed

I arrived in Chicago this morning and acclimated to the Lincoln Park area this afternoon. By days end I was exhausted and had been wanting to get a massage so I called up Lincoln Park Massage based on reviews and they were able to fit me right in. The location was easy to find by foot using Google maps. When I arrived there was a note on the door that they would be right back and the receptionist that met me was pleasant and helpful. It was an easy check in process and Susan, my massage therapist, met me immediately. We started right on time. At first, I was struggling with the warmth of the room but over time I became adjusted to it and it really help to relax my tense muscles. Susan started off with warming up of the muscles but then she really got to work. She was very good. At times, she seemed like she was rushing a bit but then she would go get hot stones or a hot towel and neck wrap. She really fit a lot in in 60 minutes. The massage was only $59. They hold your reservation with a credit card but you can pay cash if you want after the treatment is over. Tipping in cash is requested or you will be charged a $2 service fee. Not a big deal but important to know. The atmosphere is a little cheesy but your eyes are closed 90% of the time you are there so it really doesnt matter. The facility is clean and Susan washed her hands multiple times during the treatment (after working on my feet for example). I would highly recommend this spa.

This is not my first time visiting here. My shoulders and back feel relieved after every massage. I am very satisfied. Everyone is very nice and professional. I will continue to come here and recommend it to other friends！

Ok. I’ve been trying to think about how I really felt about the experience I had at this establishment before writing. I want to be as honest as possible.The location is an intimate boutique type of spa which is great. I don’t care for the big name so called massage places.My appointment was for 1PM, a couples massage. We arrived early by maybe 5 mins. We were met with a very polite woman. I think she knew she was about to tell me they were behind so she put on the extra charm. We were not escorted to our room until 1:18PM. First strike.Second. While we were waiting I was asked by this very polite young lady “do you mind if I cash you out BEFORE your service?” I’ve never heard this before and I didn’t care. So I paid. No big deal UNTIL I noticed every other person that checked out before and after us checked out and paid AFTER their service. That made me question why we were asked to pay in advance. Second strike.Next, we are finally undressed and ready to get our service. I requested a massage that was medium to medium deep pressure. Honestly, there was NO technique to this massage. It was a serious or rubs and squeezes however no real technique. It felt like the type of massage you get on your feet and legs when you get a pedicure. If that helps you understand. Third strike.The room we were in was super small. Honestly it should NOT be used as a couples space. It was VERY tight. The ladies doing the massage didn’t make it better. The one massaging me was literally climbing on my table and leaning down into my body. Like am I in a movie? I had to refrain from laughing.The other person massaging my partner was LOUD. I get A LOT of massages because I have back problems and you’re supposed to be totally relaxed and zoned out. Nope. The other person was moving her sitting stool LOUDLY. We knew when and where she was rolling to by the sound of the roll. Not happy. Additionally, we could hear everything going on in the lobby. Even though there was music (not zen) playing I could still hear the front desk person and the other customers talking. Very intrusive. Not very relaxing.Because they were late, the front desk said they were giving up free aromatherapy. Either they forgot or they don’t know what aromatherapy is. So yeah we didn’t get that.I have never had a massage where they use LOTION. Most places I’ve been, and I’ve been places around the world, massage OIL is usually what’s used. They used a combination of lotion and oil which made me feel heavy and like my pores are clogged. They also stopped BEFORE our hour was up.I don’t know HOW this place is so “highly recommended” with this type of service. It cost a couple hundred dollars and it was NOT worth it at all. Not only will I not come here again I want anyone to not waste the money. Go get a chair massage in the mall it’s the same service and cheaper.

Weve been coming here for years whenever we want a massage and they are great! And good priced as well! I dont think we typically have the same masseuse everything either so they must be all great!

As a frequent visitor of massage parlors, this was by far the worst massage I have ever had. I went with my partner for a couples massage - we wanted very much to like it, but upon walking in we immediately noticed dust and some other general concerns of cleanliness. We then spent the entire time not being listened to by the massage therapists. They massaged areas (such as very aggressively on the spine, digging into bones rather than tissue, and very aggressive on the skin surface with rough and scratchy towels) that were very painful for both of us, we expressed pain and discomfort, and they did not change the technique or level of pressure at all. They went extensively under my underwear to where it felt violating and uncomfortable for me. It seems this place might be good for an individual massage, but our experience as a couples massage left us feeling more stressed out than we were beforehand.On the yelp reviews, the owner does nothing but argue back with unhappy customers. Very unprofessional, both in-person and online.

Ana did a fantastic job! She checked in a couple of times too to make sure the pressure wasn’t too much. Will be coming back for sure! It’s so pretty on the outside too ☺️

Maggie Gu went above and beyond. I was having some neck pain. When the session concluded, Maggie asked if I felt better. I pointed out a spot that was still bothering me. Maggie then address that spot and I was on my way. Thank you again

I have saved the Lincoln Park Massage Spa as a place to visit any time I travel to Chicago. I was in awe, as the massage was perfect, and I felt so relaxed for the rest of my day. Pricing was reasonable, there were several massage options to select, and the staff accommodated me with their friendly and welcoming hospitality.

Yvette was amazing! First time massage and she explained everything in detail and made the experience very relaxing. Will be back!

I just had a baby 2 months ago and have been having so much pain in my neck and back and even started developing a hunch. Ivette took care of all the spots! This is one of the best and most affordable massages I have ever received. She continued to check in if I needed softer, but I loved the deep tissue and still was able to get hot stones in at the end. I walked out feeling 100% better. I live 40 minutes south and I will make the drive anytime.

Very good pressure and knew all my spots that needed to be worked on. I did the combo massage and it was the perfect balance between my body and feet. I’ve had many massages and this was definitely one of the best. I highly recommend.

Overall: this place was nice, and the people working there were very friendly. However, for the price we paid, we felt it was way overpriced, and left feeling a little ripped off. The ambiance in this place could use a lot of work, and if they plan on charging these prices, they either need to offer better quality services or reduce their prices to stay competitive.My husband and I made an appointment for a 90-min couples massage + a 30-min add-on body scrub. The total came down to $420, not including the tip. We thought this sounded pretty pricey, but figured if the quality of the massage and ambiance were good enough, maybe it would be worth it. Unfortunately, this was not the case.Ambiance-wise, a lot was off. The room we had our massage in was tiny, and the masseuses were struggling to get around the room without bumping into things, each other, or us. They had a chair they were moving around in that was constantly running into things and was very loud. The lights were bright, and the room smelled very strongly of a cheap/chemical bubblegum scent. The decoration was fine, I guess....? I was expecting the experience to feel a lot more luxurious given the price.They started off with the body scrub first, which felt odd because they had to constantly towel us off to get the scrub stuff off, and it made a huge mess. It got to the point where they had to ask us to get off the table, so they could change the sheets, which felt a little weird considering we were both just standing there in our underwear waiting for them to redress the mattresses (all in a tiny room with barely any space for standing).The masseuses also kept either talking with each other or sometimes just leaving the room for minutes at a time, with no warning or even a heads-up as to why they were leaving. When they would come back in, they loudly burst through the door, which definitely didnt help keep us calm and relaxed.Although this sounds like a lot of negative points, I want to re-iterate that this massage was not bad by any means, and the workers were all very friendly. My main thing is that for those prices, I just expected a LOT more in terms of quality of the experience and service. There are a lot of massage options in Chicago, and for this price you could easily find a much higher quality place.EDIT: Look at the response the owner left for this review. She does this to every review they get that isnt a 5 star, and resorted to personal attacks. If thats the business you want to support, then by all means.

I visited once in 2019 and again today and they are lovely! Very relaxed and inviting atmosphere, kind employees, and a great massage! Their pricing is also really reasonable for the massage quality.

Was my first massage.....a couples massage. The experience kinda sucked. The room was cold and needs updating rhe whole place does. Dark dingy and just kinda bla. They have a routine so it dont matter what u request to be worked on. My therapist was rude....needed me to move down and instead of saying can u please move ....she says lady hey lady move. Wish I would spent my money somewhere else. Giving a 3 only because they were able to get us in quickly but after the experience I see why

I had an amazing experience at this spa. I saw Leah (spelling?) who was so attentive to my needs. The spa in general was so cute and felt like I was walking into a familiar space. The waiting room was filled with plants and cozy seating while you wait for your massage therapist, the from desk was kind and organized, and the massage was so good. The bed was comfortable, the massage was thorough, and I was actually able to relax during the whole experience.Loved it!

I visited Lincoln Park Massage Spa earlier today for the first time. I cannot recommend Yvette enough!!! Over several decades of having massages at different establishments in various cities and countries, I honestly rank her as one of the best masseuses I have ever had! I had the LP Signature Treatment, which consisted of a sea salt scrub (glorious!!) and aromatherapy Swedish massage. It was supposed to be 90 minutes but she spent more like 110 minutes (with no extra charge) to spend more time on my shoulders~ so incredibly kind!She truly tailored the massage to meet my needs... it felt like a hybrid Swedish/sports massage. I am a runner so definitely benefit from some extra pressure to release adhesions as much as possible. She worked quite a bit on those, which is the not the most fun part of getting a massage, but she often returned to a more relaxing style so it wasnt just painful all the way through. Like I said, it was a perfect combo for me, but Im certain she will customize the pressure and approach for your individual needs.The salon itself looks a little dated but the point of being there is to get a massage, and this was one of of the very best massages I have ever had. I am totally OK with the aesthetics because the service is truly luxurious and that is what matters. Do yourself a huge favor and book an appointment ASAP!! :-)

My girlfriend and I came here four a couples massage for our 2 year anniversary. Massages were INCREDIBLE. Yvette was amazing. I have never left a massage feeling so refreshed and relaxed in my life. Highly recommend this place.

Its usually hard for me to classify something as the best! However, hands down, both my fiance and I are in agreement that this was our best massage yet! Wonderful, soothing ambiance. The staff was extremely pleasant and patient. Our masseuse was extremely gentle, yet firm. The massage was very relaxing, by the end of it we had both fallen asleep! Would definitely return! Forgot to mention we also got an awesome deal for this experience on Groupon!

My partner and i booked a couples massage to help relax after moving to chicago from florida. we were expertly taken care of and our experience was overall extremely favorable. we felt refreshed and relaxed, and had wonderful conversation with the staff. definitely recommend this spa.

I asked for a hard pressure sports massage. At no point was there any actual massage. She just rubbed oil up and down my spine and pushed on me. Never used her hands just rubbed her forearm up and down for 90 minutes. When I asked her to use her thumbs and actually work the muscles, she dug her elbow into my spine and neck. I genuinely wonder if this person was actually a masseuse. They did not seem to understand the body at all. Extremely disappointing. Left feeling worse than when I came in.

I’ve been going to Lincoln Park Massage Spa for over 3 years and typically my massages have always been great. Unfortunately my partner and I recently went for a couples massage and left completely unsatisfied despite asking for harder pressure multiple times. We even asked at the front desk to have a deep tissue massage. This usually isn’t an issue. The massage was incredibly light despite us asking multiple times to go deeper. My masseuse barely massaged my lower back which I asked her to go harder on and she barely massaged my neck, which I’ve asked specified as a target area for my body over the 3 years I’ve been going here. Overall really disappointed to write this review as I’ve always loved this place but felt like a waste of $232 + tip.

My boyfriend and I came here as part of our anniversary date and had an absolutely lovely experience. Our therapists were professional and friendly and we left feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. Their prices were very reasonable, with or without a groupon. It was the perfect start to our day and well definitely be back!

The location in the goal coast is really nice and very well kept. The steam show was amazing and the room for the couples massage was perfect for relaxing in. The deep tissue wasnt all the deep for either of us, but Ill chalk that up to me not being more clear with them. Ill give it another shot and update the review when I do.

1) The secretary was really helpful when I called & we were able to take advantage of a great couples deal for calling in.2) My boyfriend & I arrived a few late and they STILL took us in w/o problem. And we still got our FULL HOUR in ☺️3) We had Chelsea and Mee (I believe) , who both did a really good job & were both fun to be with. My BF plays sports and he felt so much better after! (Deep w/Chelsea)This was our very first massage and we both ended up liking this place. Thank you ladies. We will def. be back to visit again!!

Best deep tissue massage! Service was excellent and the masseuse knew exactly where to focus. The pressure was perfect for me, but I could understand if others would prefer a lighter pressure. They always asked during the process if it was ok. Very attentive and professional. Will definitely go back.

I signed up for and prepaid for a sport massage but didn’t receive it. I filled out information online and in person about what I was looking for and it seems it didn’t make it to the masseuse.The masseuse herself was fine. Everyone was nice and I liked the layout but I will likely like elsewhere in the future.

I took my sister here for a birthday present and we both LOVED it. Everyone was so nice and professional. From when I would call to ask for prices, to the moment we walked in and the moment we walked out. The massage was amazing. Definitely would go back and I highly recommend it!

My Best Friend and I concluded our girls mini-vacation with a massage. She and I are both very selective when booking a massage due to various prior injuries. She would say the same as I, the massages we received today were among the best, if not the best. It was 90 minutes of pure bliss, and amazing how intuitive our therapists were about our concerns. We both left feeling relaxed and happy with our finding of this wonderful spa. I would seriously consider driving the 2 hours up to Chicago JUST for a massage from here.

I actually had a very excellent massage when I was there a few weeks ago. I asked for a traditional Swedish massage and I was worried because usually I get a deep tissue massage. This time I was curious as to the difference and I was pleasantly surprised that I actually liked this massage more than the others. It was deep enough to have an impact and soothing enough to help me relax. I would go again to the same therapist! I do agree that the salon needs a bit of updating.

We went before Valentines day, Traffic was bad getting there and we were 5 minutes late looking for parking. The staff was so understanding and wanted us to come in and relax while enjoying our massage. I thought we would have lost time on the massage and we received the full time. It is professional and the massages are amazing. This is the first place I have received a massage in the past and I will continue to bring my business there!

Yvette is so great! She listened carefully to what my needs were for the session, checked in on pressure during and provided great service throughout.

Unfortunately I have to give one star.The masseuse put a rough blanket over my back during the massage so its roughness scratched my my back during the entire massage. It felt like scraping with steel wool instead of a massage and I had to stop it. Furthermore, the blanket covering my back prevented the masseuse from penetrating the muscles properly. I had to get up after 15 minutes and leave.

The massage was great and the price was great! The whole place smelled nice and we thought the service was just top notch! Next time were in town, were absolutely booking another couples massage. Thanks again!

My husband and I went here for a couple massage to celebrate 23rd wedding anniversary. I put down light pressure on my information sheet.. My Missus did not understand. There was a language barrier. I told her softer. She seemed to understand..a little. Her hands were Scaly. Her forearms were softer than her hands. I did like the hot rocks application. However there was no communication on what was next. Except to tell us to turn over.Ive had many massages over the years.Then twice during the massage she pulled my underwear down too far to tuck the sheet at the top of my underwear. (She was working on my back) I moved the sheet and my underwear back up. I felt creeped out.My husband said his massage was great. He fell asleep.

Ive been trying to find a good therapist and I think I found it here. Yvette is an amazing skillful therapist with great routine and considerate touch. The front desk is very polite and friendly. All in all very happy with my experience. Just finding the parking spot could be a little tricky. (Alex)

The deep tissue, hour long massage I received as a gift at Lincoln Park Massage was, without hesitation, the best massage experience I have ever had. The environment is serene and Sue Mays confident, expert touch thoroughly targeted every muscle group and area of tension as a physical therapist would using techniques to best access specific areas, such as the scapula, I had never before had addressed during a massage. I appreciated the fact that no polite conversation was expected - or did I feel was necessary (in my experience, at least, very unusual) and the hour was completely restorative. Incredible.

I dont come here regularly because its a little pricey, although they do regularly offer discounts if you sign up for their mailing lists. When I have had massages here Ive always enjoyed the experiences. The setting is peaceful and beautiful, the staff is professional, and the services are top notch. I highly recommend their services.

I get massages regularly and this place does not disappoint. Jennie is amazing with her hands if you need tension in your muscles relieved. The spa has no frills but is clean. I believe they are updating the spa very soon.

Had a couples massage with my husband this weekend. Both ladies were very rough digging elbows into us with all their weight. Were literally bruised. I said too rough at one point, they spoke in foreign language to each other giggling but did not let up. They went under our underwear making us both uncomfortable. They forced our feet in odd directions which still hurts us both. I dont think theyre trained here. We are in pain from this low skilled massage.

I booked a couples massage and treat for your feet for Valentines Day this year. While the massage and massage therapists were great, I unfortunately an skeptical to even give them 1 star due to their beyond poor customer service. My fiance and I were booked for a 60 minute massage followed by a 30 minute treat for your feet. Upon completion of our massage we were brought back to the front waiting area to pay. We were a little confused but figured the staff and therapist needed a short break since we booked with the same two therapists for both treatments. After we payed things became awkward very quickly as we took a seat to wait for our treat for your feet treatment. After waiting for a little while the front desk politely said their thanks yous and to have a good day. This is when I realized that we were not going to get our treat for our feet treatment. I asked them about this, thinking that there was a scheduling mistake or the such while informing them that we booked a 60 minute massage and a 30 minute treat for our feet. They went back and asked the therapists and returned to informed us that we received a 90 minute massage instead. They offered us a discount for our next service (not even comparable to the price difference of the services we paid for and the services we wanted!), which we would not be able to use since we were in the transition of moving out of state. After a lot of going back and forth between the front desk staff and the manager, I was informed that since the 90 minute massage was more expensive than the 60 minute massage and 30 minute treat for your feet, that I would receive a check in the mail for the difference. I was a little skeptical but thought that with all of the good reviews on this spa it would honored. Well I was wrong, a check never came. I believe the poor customer service and how they handled the situation ruined anything positive I would have had to say. Sorry Lincoln Park Massage.

I went for a couples massage as a treat for my boyfriend and I. We had a really enjoyable time. We were able to customize our massages as he got a deep tissue and myself just a regular massage. It was very enjoyable and worth the price.thank you!

This is an oasis in the city. As soon as you walk in the door, you feel the city and stress falling off you. I dont go here enough, but when I do I always feel better. The deep tissue massage is awesome. I talked my husband into having a couples massage and even though it is not his thing, he thoroughly enjoyed it.

We love Lincoln Park Massage! Its our go-to for a local massage. Its nice to able to walk across the park and arrive in a peaceful environment without getting in your car. Both my husband and I have been several times and will definitely be back! We sometimes prefer Urban Oasis for the steam and rain showers so thatd be a nice touch if you remodeled.

I had the most terrible experience here. I am in my third trimester and was really looking forward to a much needed massage. The woman at the front desk was very nice and asked me to have a seat in the waiting area. Moments later, a woman that worked there walked out and started screaming at top of her lungs in a foreign language at the receptionist right in front of me. She looked at me a few times and shewed me away with her hand. She continued to scream and finally the receptionist escorted her down the hallway and away from me. By this point, my heart was racing because I was so nervous and uncomfortable. My masseuse came out to greet me and apologized for the awkward situation. I asked if I should come back at a different time but she insisted no. As she walked me down the hallway, I could still hear all the fighting taking place just across from my room. I was so uncomfortable. She asked me to lie down and get comfortable and left the room at which point, I just up and left the spa altogether. This was supposed to be something relaxing that I went out of the way to do for myself and instead I left completely stressed out and it threw off my day. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I booked the LP Ultimate package ($225) for my birthday. Extremely disappointing. Though Belinda was a great therapist, I did not receive all of the services listed on their website for this package (services I was paying for, and expected). At the time of payment, I asked the receptionist why I didnt get all of the treatments listed on the site for this package, and she said it was because the website hadnt been updated and the soyaffin hand and foot treatments were longer included in the LP Ultimate. I asked why they wouldnt let someone know before coming in, she had no response. They took $20 off the cost and apologized. Poorly run business, poor client communication, lackluster facilities, overall disappointing experience. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

After driving 6+ hours of driving to Chicago and volunteering to sleep on the floor two days in a row my back was... Revolting. I foolishly fell asleep with my hips elevated on a pillow (passed out stretching) and I woke up in so much pain. Getting up took so much time, I was shuffling and hobbling around like a zombie, and I couldnt even bend over to put my shoes on. I called this place after two hours of light stretching/resting and four extra strength tylenol when the pain was only getting worse, and I got an appointment for 50 minutes later. Yvette! My hero, my savior! She was WONDERFUL! She was so, so nice! A good/fun conversationalist who kept me at ease even though 1. Im really self conscious about people seeing me undressed, and 2. Dont like people touching my back. Not once did I feel uncomfortable, and she easily read my responses on areas that I didnt mind her working over a bit more/tender spots. I throughly enjoyed my experience here, and I highly reccomend asking for YVETTE. When I come back to Chicago in August no doubt Ill be back to see her again!

Front desk staff very accommodating. Massage therapist was friendly and did a great deal tissue massage. Hot towels placed on my back, and heated neck pillow were an added bonus!

Linda is an amazing massage therapist. She is very professional, excellent in what she does, and very courteous. The spa is beautiful and relaxing. I plan to return many more times In the future.

Experience was fine for a run of the mill couples massage. The thing is, I asked for two separate massages: one for me and one for my gf. Somehow it got combined, which ended up being ok for her - my massage was more of a karate chop adventure. But, at the end of the day it wasnt a terrible experience.

Ive been here several times and really been happy with the space and the therapists I have had. I usually book with whoever is available and everyone I have had has been really great. They offer great deals and incentives and its very convenient if you live in the neighborhood! Check it out!

Got a massage here after getting a recommendation from a friend. The spa is very well maintained and it was easy to make an appointment. It is a little on the expensive side but thankfully I had a giftcard. Overall a good experience!

I first came to LPMS as a student and found the promotional events to be quite affordable. But I continued to come to LPMS post-college because it is simply the most relaxing and tranquil spot to receive spa services. I no longer live in Chicago, but come to LPMS whenever I am in town to visit. It remains my favorite spa experience near or far.

Masseurs couldve been better at deep tissue. Ive had better experience even if the request was for a medium massage. Still feel tense.

I just hate this place.After a couple Swedish massage I started getting rashes everywhere in my body and also on my husbands.Along with these rashes there is also an itchy feeling.I dont know which oil they used for us but it turned out to be a disaster.I will not recommend this place for massage.
