We had a family trip for business purposes this past month. It was completely sold out due to the Iron Man event. Our business group was booked in a set of rooms that the company reserved. The one star review is for the quality of the rooms and what this resort charges. Their definition of a suite in the north wing is deplorable. If you get a room in the North wing, the entire North wing is extremely dated, the rooms have very low ceilings, and they are very small, there are signs of damage throughout the units, and there is a distinct mold and moisture problem. We were told we would have a king suite, which we thought would have a door on the king bedroom that shuts so that we could have privacy from the children in the living room, there is no door that shut, The king suite bedroom is so small that you have to turn sideways to walk past the bed and we had three children to shoehorn into the extremely small living room. We have a history of mold problems causing health issues, and for guests to pay what this resort charges for a moldy room is a shame to experiencing a resort vacation in the Rocky Mountain West. I truly hope visitors who come from out of state do not think that this is normal for the panhandle. In my opinion, this entire wing of the hotel needs to be completely shut down and renovated Before they offer these rooms to any more guests. I was also extremely disappointed to book temporary mortgage for our boat, and upon arrival be told that there is no parking for a car that has a trailer attached to it anywhere on site at the resort. And that you could not detach your trailer and park it next to you in a parking space at the resort, and that in order to park our family SUV with our 21 foot boat trailer, we would have to drive four blocks up and four blocks over to public parking and walk 15+ minutes back to the resort, making accessibility to attractions in the area very challenging because of the friction with getting our vehicle. The staff did try to help our situation with the room, and switch us to another room in the same wing so we got to see two of these deplorable rooms, and the wing needs to be renovated. We wish we had stayed at a Holiday Inn express because the rooms, the cleanliness, and the overall experience would’ve been much better.

AMAZING Waterfront Experience! We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Coeur dAlene Resort, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of extraordinary, especially our waterfront room which made our stay unforgettable. The room itself was spacious and so comfortable with a step down to the living area and a large door to the balcony. The panoramic views of the harbor and Lake Coeur dAlene at sunset were fantastic. The highlight of our trip was the boat ride to the golf course where we spent the afternoon and evening at the infinity edge pool! Our time was elevated by the amazing service from our server, Shelby, who was incredibly attentive and accommodating. The food was great, and the summer cocktails were simply amazing. Shelbys attention to detail was exceptional! Our stay at The Coeur dAlene Resort was a a summer memory to remember! From the stunning views and luxurious amenities to the exceptional service and convenient location, everything surpassed our expectations. We are already looking forward to our next visit and would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a perfect blend of luxury and nature.

Very nice resort with everything in one place. Restaurants, pool, acces to lake. A multitude of amenities. We stayed for four days. There was something to do every day.plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view next to fires. The only thing I will say as a negative is the room smelled musky and the bedding as well as towels had way too much bleach. Made me break out and we were both itchy all night.

It was great the service could have been better. Particularly, the front desk. Be sure before going that they have the rooms you have asked for available. Also, when requesting maid service, ask that the front desk explain how room service works. We requested auto maid service, but we did not have maid service until the very last day of 5 days. There was a button to press that we did not press since we said at Front desk we want auto maid service. Request a microwave in your room. Other than that, it was fun for all who went.

UPDATE. After posting my earlier review I was contacted by a manager with the resort. We had a good conversation regarding my experience and I feel confident that he was sincere with his apology. He was very polite and chose to issue me the refund that I was asking for. I could have chosen to delete this review, instead I would rather show that while that while my initial experience wasn’t what I was hoping for, they took the time and effort to make things right and I really appreciate it. I look forward to giving them another chance in the future. Our trip to CDA was cancelled unexpectedly. I called to cancel my reservation as soon as I was made aware which happened to be 5 business days prior to our stay. They were pleasant and happy to help, however when I called back the next day and asked when I could expect the room to be refunded (a deposit for the entire balance was taken from my account when I made the booking), I was told refunds take typically 7-10 business days. Now after two weeks I’ve been told they are keeping the deposit because it wasn’t cancelled more than 7 days prior to the date of arrival. I understand they are entitled to make their policies and enforce how they choose. However I’ve never dealt with a business who refused to use discretion and courtesy. Had I cancelled the day of or day before I could understand their stance. After asking for a review of this decision I was informed that while I was told by their staff that the refunds “typically take 7-10 business days”, I wasn’t technically told that I personally was going to get my money refunded. Pay attention to the fine print I guess. I won’t stay here again.

This is one of the absolute nicest resorts Ive ever stayed at, a flight cancelling, trip change-ingly nice level. I stayed a couple extra days. It IS downtown, adjacent to all of the shops and bars, and has a wonderful swimming beach next door for your obligatory could plunges. I only review truly exceptional businesses, good or evil, this Ive is unrepentantly in the good category!

First impression, I was excited, we were on an impromptu 18th anniversary without a real plan. While traveling I was trying to reserve a room online this was impossible as I was trying to book two nights and it would default back to one night. So I waited and walked in to see if they had rooms available. The front desk attendant told me she only had one room available for one night only….we didn’t reserve ahead of arrival so I couldn’t be to upset. But when I mentioned going elsewhere they happened to find another room available for our second night and we would have to move rooms for our second day, again I can’t be upset because I’m last minute so I was appreciative of her determination to keep us there.I’ll start with the rooms-First night was in a king Lakeview room, it was okay bed was comfortable and the view was okay but I would say fairly outdated and was difficult to plug in electronics as they only had one usb port, no blow dryer, no iron or ironing board and the couch they put in there is so uncomfortable unless you were the only one on it! Not worth the $500+ a night they charge.Second night was in the lake view tower, and needless to say there was absolutely no lake view and no better then any other average budget hotel, in fact I have stayed in much nicer budget friendly hotels. You win some and lose some right? First world problems, but for the price the economy rooms should be much more affordable.Dining -Subpar to say the least we first went to whispers the 21+ restaurant, they barely had a menu worth staying for so we ordered a drink (waited 30min to get 1 drink) and asked about other dining within the resort they only mentioned dock side and others that were in the shops. So we went to dockside they were not busy but we still had to wait and the menu was basically the same as whispers. Not once were we told about the restaurant on the 7th floor. We finally heard about it from other people staying at the resort, however it was about 8pm the night before we were leaving. So we ended up eating at the dockside twice the first time took about 2.5 hrs and the service was horrible in the time my husbands soda and my water were only filled up once and my steak was a big slab of fat. The second time we ate the salad bar and our server was more attentive (but we had the salad bar)The bar on the boardwalk - I’ll just say that the guy working it all weekend hates his job there, he was not friendly and made it apparent that he was having a horrible day and hated being busy on the weekends. When I paid for our drinks I gave a $4 tip, I watched as he did not count the $$ and just stuck in it in the register, I let him k ow there was extra there for him and his response was “ ya, I could really care less right now” how rude! Then the icing on the cake…. I asked if there was a pool, the employee sent me to the indoor pool next the fitness center, when I went to check it out it was less then inviting, hot, muggy and full of kids (I’m on an adult trip) expecting a pool with a bar close at a resort does not seem like a big ask. Well to out surprise on our last night during our dinner cruise we learned that there is in fact an outdoor infinity pool, you just have to take a shuttle to. I would have done that with my last day trying to relax before heading home but instead we sat in our economy room until our dinner cruise, instead of enjoying the rest of what was supposed to be offered. To sum it up, I do not think I would pay to stay here again nor will I be recommending this hotel I will go to the one lakeside. The staff is responsible for letting you know all the resort has to offer and making it a memorable experience (literally there 1 job) and they failed horribly. I feel like I missed out on the two best things the resort had to offer. I have stayed at a lot of resorts and this may top the list of least favorite. After reading other reviews we’ll see if I get a response back other than the generic one telling me to reach out.Keep expectations low.

We got a second chance to stay at the resort, this time in a much better room that made the experience absolutely relaxing & truly amazing. The Lake Tower rooms are stunning w/the view, amenities, and size. Morning breakfast in the room was great! Choosing to celebrate our 26th Anniversary there was the best decision. The staff were very friendly all around. Front desk. Whispers. Room service. All great. Much appreciated. My wife & I will return again in the future.Previous review:$479 + taxes for a room 1/2 the size of a room I could get in Vegas, Reno or even locally at Northern Quest Casino. The shower was small, Northern Quest showers are more than 3x the size. The view was the swimming pool for $479, ridiculous. The room was old, not worth $479. Only saving grace was the bed, very comfortable. No A/C inside the hallways, and room A/C weak. Need to turn to lowest setting, 65, to get somewhat comfortable when its 100 degrees outside. $479 for a room in a hotel that has restaurants, shops and even a deli that is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE! I mean we were charged $21 for parking on top of that $479. Flip flops in store were $55-80. When I bought a couple sandwiches, 1 bag of chips, 4 cans of alcohol and two waters...$75!!! Thats just asinine. The resort is clean and nice, but not nice when it comes to the wallet and what you get in return for $479+ taxes for ONE night. My wife and I will NOT be returning to this resort. We will find a local BnB or other local hotel to get the same size room with same amenities for 3x less than the $479+tax +parking.

My wife has been talking about this place for years. It was on the top of her list of places she wanted to go. As a gift for her birthday we traveled to Coeur dAlene Resort. What a amazing place, The service was outstanding, rooms was wonderful with incredible views of the lake and Mountains. I think we spent the most time at the infinity pool (it was 100 each day). There are tons of restaurants all around (Tonys on the Lake was our Favorite) Also, I would recommend renting a boat and spending time on the lake. I really look forward to returning to the resort and playing golf (It was not in the cards this trip.) Very beautiful part of USA and should be on the top of everyones list.

I recently stayed at CDA Resort, and it was absolutely fantastic! The views are out of this world. The resort is right on Lake Coeur dAlene, so you get these incredible panoramic lake and mountain views everywhere you look. Its so peaceful and beautiful—it really makes you feel like youre in a little slice of paradise. The food was a huge highlight for me. Dockside has such a great menu with something for everyone. Every meal was delicious, and sitting by the window with the lake view made it even better. Whispers, the lounge, was perfect for evening drinks. The vibe is classy but relaxed, and watching the sunset over the lake with a cocktail in hand was just perfect. The boardwalk is another awesome feature. It’s perfect for a morning jog or an evening stroll. Walking along the lake, with the fresh mountain air and the sound of the water, was so refreshing. There are plenty of spots to sit and just soak in the view, too.Overall, CDA Resort is amazing. Gorgeous views, great food, and a super relaxing atmosphere. I cant wait to go back!

Went to the Casino w my wife and played the slots in July, 2023. Left my ticket in the machine and left for about 5 minutes and realized I left my ticket in it and went back to get it and it was gone. Someone had stolen it. Turned on the slot help light to have someone help me and waited over 30 minutes to get someone to show up. Waited another 45 minutes for them to tell me they knew who took my money but there was nothing they could do until this person came back to the casino. They said they would call me and get my money back but a year later never received a call or my money. Will never go there again. Terrible customer service. I can only compare this casino to other casinos I have been to and it’s the worst experience I have ever had. I know the money I left in the machine was my fault and it was only $50 but there was no follow up. It was like I never existed to them.

My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night. We paid over four hundred dollars with no view. The rooms are non smoking and my husband is a smoker. My husband went out to smoke in the early hours of the morning and was harassed by security. I feel he was profiled because he has multiple visible tattoos...and he doesnt look well to do. He is a blue collar construction worker here in coeur dalene. He was interrogated because he looked suspicious by security and eventually after showing his room key, security apologized. In addition, fees were charged to our room for parking which were paid out of pocket. This would normally not be an issue, but considering I have to provide proof and and take time out of my day to submit this to accounting, it is an issue. The next day, I contacted the manager and informed him of the situation and he couldnt care less. Not only did he not offer an apology...he questioned what do I expect him to do. What theyre asking in cost, does not fit the return. For a CDA resident, I am very disappointed. Would not recommend.

I joined my husband at the Coeur DAlene resort while he was in a conference. I spent a lot of time in our Lakeside view room over looking the dock as it was so comfortable to be in. I requested a couple of items from housekeeping, and they were fast, nice and very accommodating. The bed was so comfortable. We used only the fireplace for warmth while in the room. Nice touch! I felt like I had totally small different rooms! The hotel was gorgeous and easy to get around in including the parking for our rental car to and from. Thank you to the hotel registration for honoring our request from our very early reservation on saving a Lake view room for us to enjoy. Very wonderful experience!!

Pre-Covid I would have rated the resort 5/5 stars, but while their prices have sky-rocketed, their customer service has tumbled greatly. What was once a focus on personalized experiences has turned into a cash grab. The staff seem almost annoyed to help you. The staff carry an odd air of superiority from the moment you walk in, and good luck making reservations over the phone if youre trying to plan a special getaway. Best of luck to them, I wont be going back.

I contact other guy at reception questioning why we paid for parking and he said we should validate our ticket before parking a car, but I said no one told about that. Then he sent me to other receptionist , and they wanted to send me back to him. Anyway some manger came and promise a refund back on credit card. As result one month later - no refund. The problem is not about money, is it $10 or $100 , but lie of receptionist when he looks into your eyes tells everything you want to hear, just to get rid of you asap. That is a feeling a got.

Overpromise and under deliver is how I would summarize our trip. Starting with making the reservation 9 months ago. We wanted our trip to be special and I was discussing all the rooms with the guy, I ended up going with the most expensive lake view room outside of the penthouse suite (or so I thought). Fast forward to the day before checkin, we are packing and called to see if they had any beds for toddlers. They said they would put a rollaway bed in our room. The day of checkin I called and asked if we get there around 1pm is there a chance our room would be ready or should we just wait until 4? They made it sound like it was a pretty good chance of being ready early. We got there at 1 and saw a few people checking in so we were excited. Went to the front desk and asked to check in. With disgust the receptionist said “we have your number, we will txt you when it’s ready”. We then wandered around the city for 2 and a half hours killing time. Come back around 3:30 and I went to a different receptionist (even though the grumpy one was available). I said “we never got a txt, but just wanted to see if the room is ready” he said it wasn’t. We went back to the car and grabbed our luggage and were waiting in the lobby for 4 (nothing else to do at this point). 3:40 someone walks up to the same guy and he gets them checked in. 5 minutes later another person walks up to the guy and he gets them checked in. Keep in mind we are literally right in front of him with our luggage waiting for the txt. Another person is with him and so I go to a third receptionist and she says our room is ready…never got a txt. It’s now 3:55pm wipee…she says our room is on the first floor. I thought there is no way, went and looked at the room first though to be sure. Came back and explained we got a lake view etc. she said that is considered a lake view (to be fair you can see the lake through the hundreds of boats, technically not a lie). I asked if there was anything else higher and she said other customers requested higher rooms (apparently everyone staying here knew you can just pick which floor and room you want but us) and every person is hard coded to a room. Nothing she could do but just say “I’m sorry”. The rollaway bed was not in the room so we asked her for it. They bring an air mattress, we go back out and ask if they have rollaway bed. They said they would send it. 6pm we call back asking for rollaway bed and are told they are busy. 8:30pm I told them to cancel the request he’s already asleep. We went the entire trip without a rollaway bed (we could have packed our travel bed had they told us). The room was extremely outdated, the bathtub needs to be replaced, the tile on the balcony was completely torn up. Everyone from the higher floors were dropping crap onto our balcony. My 3 year old was playing with a used cigar, luckily we saw him grab it right away. We find out on our last day that there are boats that take you to a private beach and pool (after it was too late for us to use). One of the worst overall travel experiences I’ve had in my life. Oh and the room was over $725 a night with all their fees.

Thumping music, lots of hollering drunks, and then fireworks!! Coeur d’ Alene has a 10pm noise ordinance that the hotel ignores. Which is normal, but why ask customers/guests what time they are checking out, if you arent going to give it to them. That was frustrating, rather just say in the text, thanks for staying with us, we hope it was comfortable and great, just a reminder standard check out time is 11h00.Also every morning, when I walked out my room, there was a large bin right by my room door, which didnt seem right for the quality of hotel and pricing etc.So I wasnt happy with the guest services piece, but the room was good.

I absolutely loved this and the other posts about them, making you feel like youre the only one are spot on! This was my wife and I 16 year anniversary and I added the rose service, hot cocoa and morning breakfast delivered and everything was over the top and whomever decorated had an awesome attention to detail! Rose petals everywhere, candles and just perfect perfect. The cocoa service came very nicely displayed with a very cool melting stir stick, assorted treats and naturally hot water which was perfect temp. The Belgian waffle breakfast in the morning was delicious and had huckleberry syrup with real huckleberries in it, syrup , eggs and bacon.Guys this was one for the record books and if your thinking about this place pull the trigger it was magical and she talked about it all weekend!Thank you. My wife and I have stayed at this resort twice and we have throughly enjoyed our time here both times. We paid extra to stay in the Lake Side Tower with a balcony and it did not disappoint. This is a place to come and simply relax, and take life slow. The plush king-size bed faces the window, and you have a giant TV mounted to the side of the wall so that you can watch your favorite movie while taking in the sights from the lake. The seating area in the sunken living room is also inviting, especially if you get the room with the fireplace attached. The spa service is luxurious, and the restaurants attached to the hotel offer a wide range of food and price point depending on which restaurant you find yourself in. The gym has two separate rooms, the weight room and the cardio room which is great depending on your workout routine. During the nice times of the year, you can walk to downtown Coeur DAlene and enjoy some of the local restaurants and bars. All in all, a great spot to spend a long weekend.

Wanted to stay at this resort since I was a kid. 16 years later I come to visit and I am beyond disappointed. Who would’ve thought that their rooms are still stuck in 1999. The only thing this place has going for it is location, views, and public areas, everything else is barely pushing two in a half stars. Definitely don’t recommend.

We went to the Dockside Restaurant for my birthday. We had reservations for lunch at 1:15. We drove 80 miles to get there. We were seated at 1:20. I first notice the salad bar is $17 unlimited trips. I check out the salad bar and its a shadow of what it used to be. Instead, at 1:35 I order the Prime Rib (Beef Dip) sandwich. My wife orders the Turkey Advocado sandwich.55 minutes later, we get our food. My wifes Turkey Advocado sandwich has no advocados. Theyre out. Wouldve been nice to know that an hour earlier. My beef dip looked like it was being served on a hotdog bun. $22 for that. We will no longer be going to the Dockside Restaurant for any reason. Its a rip-off.

This is our second time staying at the resort. My husband booked a $650/night room for two nights for our anniversary, expecting it to be a great stay.Unfortunately when we checked in, i was about to shower and found a massive clump of hair on the shower wall and a crusty booger in the sink. We called housekeeping and they said they would come and assess the situation. We were promised a $100 discount (which doesn’t make a difference of the $1300 stay), but more importantly promised a deep cleaning of the room the next day. Our room didnt get cleaned AT ALL the next day, not even regular housekeeping. We left the room during the day expecting to come back to a refreshed room…nope. No one even checked in on our stay after we reported the dirty room the previous night.Because our room never for cleaned we didnt have waters, so we called housekeeping to bring some up. Well they forgot, so we called hours later and they finally brought a few bottles up. For a luxury stay, we shouldn’t have to feel like we are a bother.Oh and apparently it is encouraged to leave tips for the staff, but for what? This was not worth the stay and we won’t be coming back. We were hoping to make this an anniversary tradition but sadly we will need to find somewhere else.If you are paying $200/night or less, this would be worth it, but if you want a nicer stay for the cost just find a luxury airbnb and you’ll be much happier. The only redeeming factor is the location and the view.

Wow... feel like I stayed at a different hotel from the last time we stayed here. The room we ended up with was tiny, no fan in the bathroom, smelled like an old smoking room. Outside entrance. The wing we stayed in was dirty and needing a face lift. For$200.00 a night you should expect more. Honestly I have stayed at motel 8s that offered nicer accommodations. Then the valet desk forgot us and we waited almost 30 minutes for our car. Disappointed to say the least.

Biggest Pro: Excellent staff.Biggest Con: Building has aged and it shows.Stayed in January during a winter storm. Patio door had blown open prior to our arrival, and room was ice cold. Staff was friendly and attempted to fix it, but door seals were in such a poor state, the heater could not make any progress. We were moved to a different room. New room still had noticeable draft from door and windows.Overall staff was friendly and efficient. Views are still breath taking.Biggest issue is building is a bit past its prime. Aside from drafty doors, theres loose screws and fixtures, creased wall paper, curtain tears, etc.The whole place has that feel like it was popular up until the 90s and has outlived its glory days. Gone are the times of updating, now its just repairing and maintaining.I get it, times are tough, and staff does its best. These issues are trivial, and its still a clean, nice place. But for how much they charge, and the reputation preceding it, I expected more from this resort.

This place was a total let down. My wife and I stayed here for 5-nights. We booked our room nearly 6 months in advance. We booked the Park Tower Marina View (King). Not the most expensive, but certainly not the cheapest. Although we paid for a view, it was nothing like advertised. We felt like we were staying in a garbage motel. See the pictures of the advertised view vs. what we got.Aside from the bad view, the room is pretty comparable to a run of the mill $279 Hilton or Marriott special. I realize we are paying for the location and its a golf resort, but its probably the worst accommodations of any golf resort we have stayed at.The TV remote was so sticky I never used it, the drawers had like dirt or crumbs in them. We had to use sanitizing wipes and clean them before putting our clothes away. What was most annoying was the wood blinds that were broken. They wouldnt stay closed and people from the bar\lounge area could see right in. Not to mention they would let the light in and it made it difficult to sleep. The mattress was pretty awful. The bed squeaked like I would imagine a bed from a Motel 6 would. The water tasted awful for some reason too. The hot water stopped working for an entire day and at times the toilet wouldnt flush a square of toilet paper without coming back up.My wife and I are born and raised in Idaho, so we were hoping to have a new vacation spot for quicker trips. We will come back to the area but certainly not this place. I wish it would have worked out differently.

Meh... thankfully we were gifted a stay at the resort because it would have been money wasted- wont return. Bathroom doors were a nuisance since they were a split skinny door cut in half to open like french doors. Tried to get some eats at 8:30pm. Sat down at a section in Whispers (no signage saying private event) and werent exactly treated nicely by hostess who came to ask us to leave- mark the section next time. Food and waiter was great at Dockside other than the two near 20 somethings staff goofing off by the glassware/Silverware station who were taking endless selfies, constantly saying bro as the giggled and goofed off loudly for almost all the time of our dining experience. The room above had children jumping around at 8am with thuds and dropping things- walls are super thin. Beds were ridiculously too soft and uncomfortable with the 12inch throw pillows to sleep on. You’d expect toiletries and bath robes to be in the room when you arrive but here you pretty much got to call for everything. Review №117

I will try to be as fair and concise in this review as possible. When we first arrived to the room, the elevator that went to our portion of the resort was broken so we had to take the long way around in order to avoid taking our luggage upstairs. In order to get to our room we had to go outside, but this was advertised for the room so we were aware of that. The rest of our stay we would just walk down two flights of stairs to the front entrance of the resort instead of having to trudge through the entire resort as getting to her room was very non-convenient with a broken down elevator. Also, if others as stated the $20 a day mandatory parking was not appreciated. It took quite a while to get to your car and leave the resort and even though this was down season, the parking garage was quite busy every day. The heater was not working when we arrive so we called to advise the front desk within 20 minutes. Someone came up and they got the heater working. It never really got up to temperature but at least it was kicking on. For this to be a resort setting I felt like the rooms could’ve been much cleaner and there could’ve been much better attention to detail. We were definitely here during the off-season so many of the things that are probably usually busier available or closed. For instance, the outdoor patio on the terrace was close so we could not sit out there and have drinks. There was a lot of construction going on, so it was difficult to walk around in Resort as well. Again, I’m sure do to this being off season. Overall, the location was very nice but I think next time we will choose a different place to stay. We have stayed at many resorts in many different towns, and this one just did not live up to our expectations. The pool and hot tub area was under impressive. The spa was very nice! I have not added many images of the resort at sell for the spa as others have done that however, I am posting specific images of the room that I felt were completely unacceptable for a “resort”. We also found a wallet up crusty wash cloth behind where the TV was. I can only assume what was on that wash cloth but again simple attention to detail could’ve taken care of the these matters. Made us question the overall cleanliness of the room itself. When they don’t pay attention to details like this, then chances are the room is not very clean! Very disappointing! Thankfully I brought Lysol wipes and wiped all important surfaces down quickly after arrival. They’re also was no microwave in the room, but upon request one was brought down quickly. Also, there was a small coffee maker, which was nice for a cup of coffee first thing in the morning.

Absolutely phenomenal resort. One of the most high-end hotels Ive stayed in so far in my 13 years in the USA. Note: This is not a cheap hotel. The staff were very nice and helpful. The concierge was great, and the valet parking was wonderful. Having your luggage stored while your room is made ready and then brought to your room is great, especially when you have a lot of luggage and a bad back. There was a town vendor fair on Main Street when we arrived, so we went to check out the local stores and vendors while our room was being prepared. The hotel grounds are stunning along with the views, especially from the tower rooms. Mountain or lake views. Its location is wonderful, and you are only 500ft from the main street of Coeur DAlene. There are many stores and restaurants to choose from. There is also many activities available at the lake, including plane rides and boat tours, run by the hotel or local businesses. If you have the money, I highly recommend this resort.

Not family friendly! We purchased a family package for the infinity pool. Our stay was only 1 day so we called ahead to ensure we could get early check in to use the pool since check in is listed as 4pm. We were told we would be able to check in at 9:30am when we arrived. Upon arrival we were told that nothing was available but we could still use the infinity pool. We had nowhere to change and were told we could change at the pool. After arriving at the infinity pool we found there was nowhere to change except for a dirty single bathroom stall. Wow what fun that was with a 3 year old. There was no shade except for the few umbrellas already taken by people in lounge chairs. The music was loud an explicit, not appropriate for young children. Men were smoking cigars next to the pool where my young children were. When we finally got a room over 5 hours later we entered it to find a terrible smell. Initially we thought it was maybe a smoking room but upon further inspection we found it was most likely the mold all over the bathroom. I couldn’t believe how disgusting it was! There was no way I was putting my children in that shower. I went back to check in only to be told it just wasn’t properly cleaned and they could send housekeeping up. I refused to stay in the mold covered foul smelling room and the said they had 1 other option since they were fully booked. It wasn’t much better. The next morning we tried to take our children swimming at the indoor pool around 8am since checkout is 11am only to be told children aren’t allowed until 9am. This hotel has really gone down in service since the last time we stayed here. It is not family friendly at all! People with young children beware!

The moment you arrive you are in love. The red flowers that line the elaborate driveway to the grand entrance tells you everything. The valet, bell ppl, the check-in lady, all were lovely, helpful and kind. Our room was stunning. Pay the money for the Lake View. It’s worth the extra cash. I’d pay more actually. Shhhh! The Whispers bar was full of nice Idaho people, charming wait staff to admire, and a lovely list of cocktails. We decided to get room service for diner instead of going out, and it did not disappoint. Seems like the apps, meals and desserts were carefully made as if we were dining in. Which is rare! The beds were so cozy and smelled so good! Even the coffee maker in the morning was a luxury. I couldn’t say enough amazing things about this resort. I loved everyone who worked there, and every guest I encountered. This was my 6th time there, and first time taking my mother. She was thrilled. And I was so happy to treat her to such a lovely experience. We want to come over and over again. Thank you.

The bartender on the boat wrote a note on our receipt so we could go to the Dockside Bar after our cruise and get our 2 glasses. When we went to get them they only had 1. We went to the concierge and Patrick helped us. He made several calls until he found us our glass! He was kind, friendly and so helpful. Thank you Patrick!

AMAZING. This a a 5 star resort. Service was on point at every step from car service to the hotel through checkout. The views are spectacular so get a room with full views and a patio. Beverly’s is very good for food. I had several staff walk by and say hello, ask how my stay was, the repair guy got on the elevator with me, I think his name was Dennis, and asked me how my stay was and wished me a great day. Those little things make all the difference. Rooms are clean and very nice. Loved my patio. Sitting out drinking a coffee from Vault Coffee just up the street in the early mornings was one of the most relaxing times for me. Was here for a conference but will be back with my family. For a conference the facilities are very nice and the crew is helpful. Highly recommend a visit!!!

We were at the resort this last weekend and had a very very great time. Everyone was so kind and accommodating, with the exception of the valet boys. After seeing the way they drive guests cars I would NEVER let them drive mine. And I just have a cheap Honda lol. One Tesla owner came within inches of owning a brand new Tesla courtesy of the resort. Anyway, lets talk about the rest of the crew. Wonderful people. Sarah and housekeeping was so quick and polite with a request for additional coffee in our room. Rachel at the front desk was probably my favorite! She was quick with our check-in, engaging, polite and even asked about our cat! Lol. She was downright amazing. The epitome of what customer service should look like. Maybe you should put her in charge of training the valet boys on proper hospitality behavior. We borrowed the complementary bikes for a ride through town, did a scenic boat cruise, enjoyed a fantastic meal at cedars, and had great experiences at the bars in the resort. Overall a great experience and would definitely go back!

There is no other Resort on this side of Washington nor in Northern Idaho that is remotely comparable to the Coeur dAlene Resort. A thriving and prosperous city such as Coeur dAlene and its absolutely clean roads and buildings make this town a landmark of success! The Resort has contributed enormously to the attraction and well-being of this town as well as all of kootenai county. The resort and its surroundings are breathtaking to say the least! This was such an awesome spot! First time to Coeur D Alene and definitely not our last. The staff was very friendly and so helpful. The location was perfect to walk downtown or to the gorgeous parks. Would definitely stay here again! The only thing that I was concerned about are the windows being able to open. We were on the 10th floor and my 2 year old was fidgeting with the latches. I didn’t even realize these could be opened. When I pushed the window open, the space is easy enough for a small child to fall out of. I definitely lost sleep over this! If you have small kids, I would request a room without any windows that are accessible to be opened.

For the price of this place, I expected something more up to date. The rooms are straight out of the 90’s and in desperate need of updating. The bathroom is not much nicer than a low end hotel. It has a bathtub that holds like 8inches of water and a very basic shower. Overall, the feel of the room is not exciting- especially when you know what you’re paying for it 😬 The bed was soft and comfortable. Our room was a lake view (gorgeous) with also a side view of the park. The windows on that side have shutters that block out little to no light, so as the sun rises on that side, it blasts the room with light in the morning.I will admit that my husband and I are cocktail snobs. Unfortunately, the cocktails here are not good. We tried 1-2 at Beverly’s, The Roof Top and Whispers and all of them were very sweet and syrupy even after requesting to take it easy on the sweetness. So if you’re like us, just stick to the wine and beer lists. The location and view from most rooms are spectacular. You are in the heart of downtown and everything is walking distance. There is nowhere else in CdA that puts you so close to everything and with such a beautiful view so they have that going for them.

Went to Beverlys restaurant, early december 2023. I was reminded of how great the overall resort is. We used free valet parking and went to the restaurant with 6 people. Everything was exceptional. 5/5 food, service, and views. We went to see the Christmas lights they set up along the boardwalk and the crazy amount of white lights at the resort. We had a table by the windows, and we could see all the lights from there. Everything looked great... I have to say, nobody in our group had been to Beverlys in a while. I dont know why. We absolutely will be going there more often. Compared to other restaurants in the area at that price point, its not even close, in my opinion, Beverlys is way out ahead of the others. I had the special, which was a surf and turf: 2 filet medallions about 3 oz each, 3 prawns, mash potatoes and green beans, $48; everything was 5/5. They also have a fantastic pre meal bread option of sourdough or some kind of candy orange glazed thing. Both were amazing. Everyone else seemed to love their food as well. One person ordered the steak that they light on fire at the table. If youre down to shell out $65 on your entree, its a great show and a fantastic steak. All in all, the resort, Beverlys, Valet service the lights, everything was 5/5. They really are doing a great job there. As a local, it was a nice reminder that its not just for tourists

If you going with a family of 4, DON’T!!There are no rooms with any beds bigger than 2 double beds and they are very uncomfortable. We asked on night two if we could check out early to which an unhelpful front desk person informed that we already paid in full at check in said they’d have to send a note to the manager to see if we could be refunded. They never bothered to get back to us. So.At check in my wife asked about upgrade which there was none and the person said that the room had 2 queens and she was fine with that. The issue here is if they would have said 2 doubles beds my wife would have never let us check in. It was at this point you hand over your CC and sign a document that locks you in to them charging you for the full stay.At over $500 a night this place just simply isn’t worth it. It’s a resort that doesn’t really have much to offer other than a tiny and dated indoor pool and jacuzzi that is barely warm and the infinity pool located a crowded 10 min boat ride away with no shade or umbrellas. Everything else you want to do at the resort you have to pay for, and surprise, it’s not cheap! The restaurants and staff were all great but you are better off going into town where you can find better food at a 1/3 of the price.

Thank goodness we had another alternative for accommodations. Other family members stayed because they didn’t have a choice but they indicated similar concerns and a high level of dissatisfaction. Our room was dirty, loud, and uncomfortable. Other family members mentioned unpleasant smells and uncomfortable beds. Not what we expected from a resort with such a good reputation. Food at breakfast took a long time to be served. Taste was ok but a bit greasy. On a positive note our waiter was exceptional.Prior to our departure, My wife talked with a manager who was sympathetic about our concerns and offered us another room. However after a night of little or no sleep it just seemed best to not risk another night. Ultimately we are just disappointed. We are moving on so we can get some rest and enjoy the remained of the weekend and the wedding festivities.

We made paid-in-full Christmas Eve to Christmas Day reservations 3-mo prior to arrival with ‘Revenue & Reservations Manager’, Chad Purcell, whom was kind, personable, helpful, & professional. 24-hrs prior to arrival we phoned to verify our emailed confirmation of a “Lake Tower Lake View with Fireplace Double Room” between floors 8 & 17 with early check-in. Everything was a go. We eagerly arrived Christmas Eve at noon; just early enough to drop-off bags & enjoy the festive environment, shopping, & eateries before our official check-in time.Upon arrival we learned that ‘Director of Guest Services’, Brandon McMartin, had downgraded us both in room-type & tower location. Reason? “Due to it being a holiday, the going rate for the room you requested has increased substantially from when you paid for it, & I can get a higher premium from those willing to pay more today.” After a momentary jaw-dropping pause, we inquired how he’s able to do that while at the same time attempted to provide him our proof of paid-in-full confirmation email. He didn’t want to see the confirmation email, but did proceed with, “It’s within my right to downgrade rooms based upon need, & what you paid at the time I can get much more for now, so I’m holding out for that. Plus, we’re quadruple booked today.”In fairness, after continued dialogue we were re-offered an identical room-type & tower location; for an additional $600. We declined. “I could still offer you a nice room, but it won’t be for early check-in. Or, if you prefer I can cancel your stay altogether.” was Brandon’s final offer. We reluctantly accepted whatever room was going to be made available for we didn’t know where we were going to be able to get another that late in the holiday. To accurately describe the utter shock in both treatment & delivery, words still escape our family days following check-out, as no management’s reached out to us as originally promised. What was to be a re-creation of the holiday stay we had exactly 18-yrs prior after our daughter was born, & before we send her off to college, the treatment casted an overwhelming shadow on the celebratory holiday; Brandon assigning us Room #666 late in the day on Christmas Eve was its chilling closure.Needless to say, decades of celebratory gatherings, overnight stays, shopping excursions, & dining reservations owned by this organization will no longer be favored. Our future expenditures for these events will be enjoyed elsewhere.

Its such a beautiful place, unfortunately the one time we staying in their rooms we were incredibly uncomfortable. Lots of noise from the heater kicking on and off all night due to a large gap under the door as the room was only accessible via an outdoor walkway. Not the best room IMO and our only view was of the parking garage. I have visited other friends rooms while they stayed here that seemed much nicer. Dessert at the Dockside restaurant is amazing, but the food is pretty average and overpriced for what you get. Their banquet rooms are beautifully decorated for holiday parties (I have been to two here) but again, the food could have been better. We have stayed several times at the CDA Resort. This time was not the usual great service.Upon check-in we were given a non view room with a deck that was rotting and covered in goose feces. We asked to be moved to the view room we were being charged for and had reserved. Because their computer system was not working properly they asked that we stay in the room anyway and that a credit would be provided. After 8 conversations and having to lose our patience, we were finally moved to the view room the next day.Later that afternoon we were stuck in the elevator due to a malfunction. We later learned that the same elevator had stopped and others had been stuck as well.Lastly, we were told to call the Housekeeping department should we desire to have our room cleaned. A rude person answered and stated that they would add us to the list (as if we were inconveniencing them). For $599/night, it seems the room should be cleaned without hesitation.Once checking out, we did not receive the credit for the bad room of which I have left a message for the manager. I work for a large company and we used to use this location for meetings and we also use to give out gift cards to stay here until the experiences from myself and other coworkers were constantly brought up and now we no longer come here. There were many complaints brought up to their management that we were told would get taken care of, but we never received any follow up. I have had several bad experiences, but the last one was so bad we ended up not staying and giving up a few hundred dollars to just drive home. It started with check in where my wife and I were treated poorly from the lady at the front desk. We had booked one of the most expensive tower rooms with a lake view, but we were given one of the normal rooms with no view. I went to ask why we were not given the room we paid for and they said they didnt have any available and the room we were in was as good as we were going to get. We were lied to and treated poorly by the staff so we ended up just leaving. What happened is it was a major holiday and they had made mistakes when booking rooms and over booked what they had available. It is hard to be this bad in a location like this, the area is beautiful and the tower rooms are excellent, but the regular rooms are nothing special and the staff is incompetent and rude and the management just doesnt seem to care as they do not follow up with complaints.

After driving all day we arrived 15 mins after check in time of 4pm. We were all hungry and looking forward to getting into our room and getting settled. We were told they had let too many people check in and our room wasn’t ready. We were told they didn’t know when it would be ready but “soon”. We waited until 5pm and still no room. Then their computer system went down. They offered us a free dessert for our wait 🤦🏼‍♀️. At 5:15 a manager offered us a $60 credit for the restaurant, calling them and saying to make sure we got a table. He told me he made sure we got a table, so I assumed it had been booked and he moved things around which was nice of him I thought at the time. We arrived to eat with half of our bags in tow to a mostly empty restaurant. So I’m not sure why they acted like it was helping us to get us a table we could have walked in and gotten one. We then ordered dinner and waited an hour to get our food. By then everyone was exhausted and over it. Our room was finally ready and we got checked in at 6:30pm. Two and a half hours after check-in time. We are pretty low maintenance people and understand things happen but for a room of this price, we expected much much better. For breakfast we ordered room service and the eggs that we ordered over medium, were raw. To advertise as a luxury resort and then have service such as this, food that wasn’t good and pay this much for a room that we got to stay in for a total of 16.5 hours until checkout time, we we should have have just stayed at the Marriott and walked to the lake. The valets and bell hops were super helpful and very nice so they have that going for them. The location is wonderful but for a luxury resort that you are paying too dollar for a room, this isn’t worth it.

Each time we had to go up and Order things. The only exception was a girl named Hannah who came by a couple of times the first day. When we went up to make our orders the staff of four or five were just standing around laughing and joking with themselves. Very disappointing in that regard. I ended up with a view of the parking garage. I ordered after hours / late night dining. Lobster bisque and dessert. 4 sets silverware but no spoon. Automatic 18% gratuity. I am beyond disappointed. We visited this resort in June for 5 guests in two rooms. From our room we called valet multiple times with no answer (apparently they weren’t open yet, would have been nice to know.) Upon checkout we sat at valet for over 45 minutes because they lost our key. After waiting over 30 minutes I had to basically harass the front desk every 5 minutes as no one was helping us! They kept saying “we are looking for it.” We missed our flight and got banned from and had to pay $250 for our Turo not being cleaned or gas refilled because we had no time. Never even received the decency of an apology from anyone even though the front desk said they will give me a call. Extremely unprofessional and traumatizing experience.TL/DR do NOT use valet here because they will lose your key and make you miss your flight with no apology

I hosted my reception for my wedding this past weekend there and let me tell you, it was the most magical day! Just wanted to give a special thank you to Sarah who planned everything and was able to constantly adjust to our needs with our guests! The food was AMAZING and the rooms were beautiful and intimate for our small wedding. The whole staff was amazing! Thank you to all the staff at guest services for helping us arrange everything that was needed for our guest for the best stay possible! The rooms were amazing and so comfortable as well! Perfect place to just visit when youre in town, or to spend any special day at the CDA resort!

The view was AMAZING! Something out of a movie set, reminded me of Dirty Dancing in a way. My husband is a retired Navy veteran who drove submarines and the mariner view was the absolute best part of the trip for us! Everything was great, the resort was recommended by a dear sweet friend of ours who is originally from Couer D’ Alene and she was right the whole town was beautiful! We enjoyed every minute of our stay and to ALL of the people who are complaining about their experiences YOU should be very grateful for the opportunity to be there it would be great if everyone could experience this place i know am very grateful for the chance i was given !

The ferry ride at night to see Santa, Christmas lights, and fireworks was so much fun! You dont have to have children to enjoy this venue, but all the kids onboard sure did love it!

Several great restaurants and the Coeur dAlene bicycle path runs right through the hotel.

We had a nice time. Rooms and views were great. Food was 7/10 but views and weather made it all 10/10. Spa was meh. Was rushed through the check in process and was told where to go vs led through an experience. It was really good but not great.
