This was my first visit and first impression of Veda Hair Salon and Spa. The interior is spacious, clean and the back hair washing room was relaxing with spa-like background music which was a nice touch. All the staff that I came in contact with were friendly, professional and welcoming.Now the best part of my experience was meeting hairstylist Alyssa, she is a GEM! My hair needed some work (from a previous haircut at another salon). She listened to the style I wanted to achieve, the concerns I had with the previous haircut and the results were fantastic! Alyssa makes her job look easy (which Im sure isnt) and based on my results she is stellar level. Thank you to Alyssa for making me love my hair again, I will see you at my next appointment! :-)
I started going to Veda after losing 60% of my shoulder length hair from an illness and after trying a couple stylists I found Maci who gave me a gorgeous pixie cut and got me my groove all the way back! I could literally let her wash my hair for eternity and I LOVE to see her every single time! I give her free reign and she NEVER DISAPPOINTS!
I had a hair cut appointment with Angela. She took time analyzing what would be best for my dead ends, teaching me about how to manage curls, the product lines at Aveda and I got a fabulous hair cut to boot. I have already recommended her to 2 friends. Ill be back to see her for all my hair needs.
I’ve seen Angela for eyelash extensions for over 10 years. She is so gifted in her art! The front desk staff greet me by my first name when I walk in the door. Always so warm and welcoming!

EmJ did a great job with my hair. I just had a simple haircut and conditioning treatment but she really made it feel like a peaceful, professional experience. I love the way my hair turned out and I will definitely be returning.
I booked a facial with Lindsey trying to use up a gift card I had before I moved. Besides how great my skin felt, the massage during the facial was just what I needed during a very stressful time. I haven’t been that relaxed in years. I’m sad I’m moving now.
I have had the best haircuts ever from Macy. Her haircuts are so incredible that I bring my 14 year old son and 4 year old daughter to her as well. My daughter got the most beautiful short/complex haircut from her/ one that I was so nervous for (I didnt want to cut her beautiful hair but she was eating it and we needed to break the habit), and she cut it with consideration as to how it would grow out as well. The fact that she can slay different haircuts for different age groups reflects her talent as a stylist. I just adore her and even though we moved out of state, Ive scheduled all of our haircuts with her for when we visit Colorado. I would recommend her over and over. I really enjoyed my “stress fix “ massage with Wendy! It was exactly what I needed. The Veda salon and spa is nice place with a good relaxing atmosphere. A bit pricey, but it was worth it.
Veda is awesome, especially with Chris. As a guy, with simpler hair-needs, Chris is still passionate about making sure I look great. Hes talented, listens to every detail, and cares about how my month has been. Hes a joy to visit! Its a risk to post this, as his schedule might become booked, but... I highly recommend Chris!
Mariah, my stylist was excellent in every way. She greeted me warmly, listened to my needs and communicated effectively. I understood the process and what results to expect. Mariah is amazingly talented and I left my appointment feeling spectacular and ready to conquer the world. I will definitely return and without a doubt recommend Mariah to everyone I know who has hair!!!

First time at this Veda location for a manicure. I had a great experience, the people were very friendly and professional. The atmosphere was very peaceful, especially in the waiting area. Also, the manicure was very well done. She payed great attention to detail, and took her time to make the manicure perfect and worthwhile! Definitely will return for a manicure or other service.
From start to finish the service went smoothly. Im particular about my nails and usually have issues getting nail techs to do it how I like it (Im a former nail tech), but Trinity was great! She didnt question me, she just listened, clarified, and did it. She was lovely to talk to and my nails look amazing. Im incredibly pleased with the service I received.
Not happy that they charge an amenities fee for a haircut! On top of that they keep raising their prices every few months. It’s ridiculous- I’ve been going to Veda for about 18 years, mostly due to my hairstylist. But I feel I might be cutting ties and going elsewhere. Sorry, I don’t think it’s fair that you raise your fees multiple times and think sneak in an additional fee “amenities fee”.
The haircut I received was fine, but the service was not great. From the time I sat down at the shampoo bowl to the time I walked out, was a total of 30 minutes. I do have thin hair, but for the price I paid, I feel she should have spent a little more time on me. I expected a little more for a “salon” experience.
Macie did an amazing job on my hair cut and color. I will definitely be a regular with her.
They treat you right at Veda! Samantha Ware is not only a hair guru, she is also as sweet as they come! I look forward to every visit whether for hair, nails, or wax!

I was so pleased when I called and got a same day appointment for a haircut! I was also happy that a wash and style was apart of the haircut, as most places would charge extra. My stylist, Damien, listened to my hair goals and needs and gave me the exact haircut I wanted! Thanks, I will definitely be back!!!
Kayla George took my hair from years of dying it red back to matching my natural blonde. It only took 2 sessions, which I was shocked about. I was worried about frying my hair, she assured me she would not destroy my hair. Kayla stuck by her word! Im beyond thrilled with her skills. It was very easy to schedule an appointment within a day of calling. They had a lot of availability. Erin did a great job on my cut and style. I wanted a low-maintenance, shorter hair style. I have gotten so many compliments.
I unfortunately did not have a great experience here. I went in with my hair passed my butt and left with a choppy, uneven V-cut. I cut a lot off and cant understand how I got such a choppy haircut. I didnt ask for anything crazy I just wanted a couple inches off and my layers re-trimmed but I got the stair choppy layers and my right side was way over cut. I went back to have someone fix it but unfortunately she couldnt fix it without taking another 4 inches off. Needless to say I will not be coming back here. This is not what you expect to get when you pay for a $60 haircut.
My hair artist (Erin) was great and I would recommend her. I wont go back to Veda, though. Their customer service was terrible. McDonalds has better customer service...I dont even go there but they always said, the customer is always right. First, I scheduled a level 1 artist who ended up quitting the day before my appointment. When all they had to offer me was a master artist, they wanted to charge me $20 more when they should have honored the original price. I had a gift certificate to pay with and had been saving it for this very occasion (cutting 12 inches off of my hair). I had checked ahead of time to be sure I could use the gift certificate, and it was fine. When it was time to pay, they couldnt load it, had to call a manager on her day off, and eventually told me it had $0 left on it when I had a receipt stating it had $82 left. After searching, they said it had been used 2 times since my last cut by a name I had never heard of before. This person was also marked as banned from the salon. Very suspicious. They said they would look into it but that I had to pay the $102 for the services I received. I received a call the next day and was informed that someone had brought a gift card into a different location under that name and used it up, and there was nothing they could do. My husbands 100 year old grandma gave me this, and there is no way this could have happened. Ive had it in a file folder for 20 months. Im livid that I was charged for something when I had a solid balance left on my gift certificate. They clearly do not care about their clients at all. The customer is always right. I give them 2 stars because Erin was great, and they DID call me back. Otherwise, Id give them 0.
Angela C does such a great job! She is so talented. I had medium length hair and asked her to cut it short. She is amazing at creating a cute and sassy hair cut, and wonderful with color and highlights. My husband loves the cut and color! I feel so special! I needed a change. ;)
From the friendliness of the front desk staff, to the excellent professional & VERY thorough massage from Wendy, this is a salon that is just good at what they do. I felt very pampered, respected and would highly recommend Veda Salon On Academy!
Shannon Omdahl is amazing! I went in to have a previous cut/color that I was unhappy with fixed. She listened closely to my wants and asked questions back to be sure she understood what I was looking for. I have a cochlear implant and she communicated clearly and effectively so that I understood her while my implant was off. I am so impressed and so happy with my new hair. She made it better than I thought possible and I will be going back to her and highly reccomend you do as well. Thank you so much Shannon!
My mother-in-law had her hair done on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. This was her first visit to Veda. She had her hair permed with a bill totaling $270. The perm turned out fine, but the service was far from exceptional. When she had her hair washed, the young lady did not prep the chair correctly, and the water/perm solution ran down her back and soaked her shirt and pants. They had her take her shirt off and gave her a robe while they tried to dry it. The solution stained her pants, and she had to drive home completely wet. Embarrassing to say the least. The staff shrugged it off with an apology and sent her on her way.It took her a couple of days to get over this visit and was finally able to share it with her daughters. My sister called and talked to the manager. She was left speechless with the reaction and lack of responsibility the manager expressed over the phone. She was hoping for some kind of compensation that would make her give them another try. However, since they said her perm was good, then there is nothing they can do. I dont know if this is the service they give to elderly, but it was quite unacceptable.My mother went here because her hair stylist of 30 plus years retired. The reviews were good, and they claim they are the best in Colorado Springs.Price is never an issue and good service is worth every penny. This visit was way off the mark.
Mikayla--You have outdone it again!! Mikala has-been doing my hair for a long time now, and its always the best! This visit I had requested a more blunt/straight cut, with a few more dimension highlights underneath. I always remark how much I love the service she does, after each visit. Worst hair cut ever! My hair cut is longer on one side then the other. It looks nothing like I asked for. Im not sure what product was sprayed on my hair (black bottle with bright pink star, not aveda product) but my hair was left with a flat, dull sticky feeling. I have an appointment at another solon to get my hair fixed.
Another corporate run organization that only cares about money and not about the customer. They are greedy and overpriced. And the manager is rude and condescending. She is a yes man And rather lose customers than try to help troubleshoot a bad situation. If you want.A Hair Salon that pushes you in, pushes you out. And theres all about how many people they can get in a day, then go to this place. But if you want personalized treatment, go somewhere else.
I got a pregnancy massage from Wendy and she was so lovely! Well informed and knowledgeable about her trade, i would definitely come back to see her! 10/10 I recommend all the mamas to be come get a prenatal massage here

I recommend seeing Kayla if you are thinking of getting your hair done at Veda Salon. She is very good with blondes and my hair always turns out exactly how I want when I book with her! She is friendly, welcoming, and knows a lot about hair.
Angela was wonderful. She was patient with me while I navigated my first time at an actual salon. She took the time to explain things to me and guide me through how to care for my new hairdo at home! Very knowledgeable and made me feel at ease taking a leap into bangs (and hair color next!)! I’ll never go back to another run of the mill haircuttery again.
Got my mother a gift certificate for Mothers Day. She got a massage and facial, and loved it. She always likes coming to Veda because of the professionalism and comfort. She says the massage therapists know their trade well, and she always walks away feeling relaxed.
Sami was fantastic from start to end. She listened to my hair concerns about coming off hormonal birth control and gave me great suggestions and insite to the impacts that are possible. My hair feels fantastic and Im in love with it!
I had a haircut with Shannon. She was cold and tense and it was a really awkward experience. Unfortunate, because everyone else who worked there seemed really friendly.Shannon didnt properly layer my hair and forgot to angle the front. I should have said something sooner, but it was hard to tell at the time how mediocre the cut is, because of the way it had been blow-dried. Frankly, I wanted to get away from Shannon.I had to call the salon three days in a row before I was able to reach a manager, and she declined to assign someone to (quickly!) correct it. She happily offered to take more of my money for a second haircut.
Beware! This salon has no heart! I was too ill to make it thru both a pedicure and a manicure, and told them so at check-in. Nice gentle “T” did my pedi and I went to pay— to be told I had to pay a “late cancellation fee” of half the mani cost. No one warned me. I was visiting for a destination wedding. So my faux-lux pedi cost me $93! I’ll never be back.
“This is a big shout out to Kayla.”She corrected my hair color on Saturday, April 8th. She saved me from major embarrassment I would of had on Easter! I would have wore a hat for sure! After 2 terrible experiences of not getting (at all) what I wanted from another place. She is by far the best colorist I’ve ever been too!!🙌🏼 THANK YOU KAYLA!!☺️
We were at Veda to have my 13 year old sons haircut. A special haircut--he has been growing out his hair for almost 3 years and is donating it to Wigs for Kids. His stylist, Jade, was wonderful!. They had researched the donation and were aware of how long the hair had to be and how it needed to be packaged. He made certain my son was comfortable every step of the way and even let him cut the first braid! After all that, Jade gave my son the best haircut he has ever had. We have already scheduled out for his next appointment and have recommended Jade to anyone who will listen!

Trinity is so patient and gentle with my nails. It was my first time and I had really think gel polish on that she had to remove. She politely explained why it was taking so long and even had to push her next appointment back for me. I have already scheduled my appointment to see her again.
I only got a cut and style this time around, but my stylist, Whitney, was amazing! I go to Veda frequently and always get great service from everyone, but she was hands down one of the best stylists who has ever touched my hair! The salon was clean, everyone was wearing masks and practicing social distancing which was very comforting. I highly recommend Whitney and Veda to anyone who hasn’t already gone.
I come here often for haircuts, facial waxing and nails.Their services are great. I would recommend them.It does bother me though to see that their front desk people dont have a place to sit down. Theyre standing there for hours on end. It would be nice if they gave them a stool for them to sit on.
Love the salon experience here! Nina was super great at listening to what I was looking for and also providing some professional tips that really made my hair look amazing!I love the location, parking, and vibe of this location! The online booking is a little challenging unless you know exactly what service and who you are wanting to see. However when you do call in and talk with someone they are super helpful and walk you through what you need.
I had a great experience here! Walked in and the place was pretty busy. The customer service was awesome. Kaila(cant remember if that is the right spelling) took amazing care of me. I walked in and let her know that I was nervous and that I had not had my hair cut by someone new for about 20 years. She asked a lot of questions and made sure she understood what I wanted. She was conservative with the cutting making sure I was happy every step of the way. She did an incredible job and I love my new hair and will definitely be back!
The stylist did not listen to my instructions on how I wanted my hair cut. She rushed through the cut and butchered my hair. It was 4 inches too short with long straggly ends that I had to have also cut off to help it look somewhat better. Watch out for stylist s who dont show you the back of your hair when they are done. I hate my haircut. Why would I trust anyone there. They offered to cut it more to fix it. Bad idea. A refund doesnt even make it better.
My new Aveda go-to salon!Damien did a fantastic job, he was a great listener when I was telling him what I wanted and checked in multiple times during my cut to confirm it was what I wanted. He was also so patient and I was so happy with the finished product.
This was my first time getting styled by Sami & I had an excellent experience! I am hesitant when selecting a new hair-artist, & she did a fantastic job creating a flattering hairstyle for me. She really took her time,and shared tips and techniques to help me achieve the same look at home. Thanks again Samantha!
I love how Angela Captain listens to me about my cut and color. She is often suggesting different, natural-looking colors for me to try, but she also asks for my input. She is a consultant and a hair stylist. I often get compliments about my hair color from co-workers and friends.
I’ve never had a bad experience coming to this salon. I called one day in advance to see about finally getting my quarantine-hair trimmed. I was able to get an appointment for the next day, and Kristen did a wonderful job. She was very intuitive about the hairstyle I wanted and made suggestions that I really appreciated. My hair desperately needed some maintenance/care, and I love how it turned out! Thank you!
Today I went to get my hair colored for the first time in two years. I asked for a rich brown. We went with a demi color because I have a lot of grays. I ended up with a really dark brown that was almost black and color all around my face. I didn’t notice the color staining until I was nearly home because of the blowout so I had to turn around and go all the way back because the staining was severe. My colorist tried to say it was baby hairs but seriously, I looked like Eddie Munster. In haste, Color was flung onto my skirt as well so it’s now stained too. I was referred here by someone with excellent hair. I thought surely if I opted for a Level 6 colorist I couldn’t go wrong. It’s $140 for a single color with no cut. I was wrong. My hair is ok, but with a Level 6 stylist I expected to have a finished look. Telling me to apply lotion before I come next time because that color shouldn’t have stained didn’t make it better. I will say, to end on a positive note, Shannon was nice to me so that refutes prior reviews I have seen about her.
Finally! People that know how to do hair in a very pleasant environment with nice touches like hot tea and adult beverages on offer. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Lots of quality products on offer. I had three bad hair dos in three years in three other salons before coming here. Thanks to Nina, my hair is finally coming back into its glory! They also offer manis and pedis too.
I went here twice, once for my nails which were done by Trinity. She did an amazing job and was very gentle which is great to say because I havent had the best experience with getting my nails done at other places.My 2nd visit was even more phenomenal, I had my hair colored with box dye due to a bet I lost and my stylist MJ was absolutely amazing. I showed her my end goal and she was very patient explaining to me that it might not be accomplished in the one visit but she would make it look good. Which she absolutely did.I will not go anywhere else for my hair color but to MJ.
Damien was absolutely amazing and made me feel comfortable. He made sure to listen to what I wanted and through the process ask if I liked how it was coming along. I love my hair and I love the salon!
My overall experience was fantastic. I did not get much done. I had a trim, style, and frame done. The lady who did my hair got rid of all my dead ends taking very little length. All the staff were very friendly and made me feel welcome. They offered me a choice of coffee or cucumber water as soon as I walked in and the price was reasonable. Highly recommend.
Made an appointment for my wife to get her hair cut and highlights for a vacation trip. The next morning they called me and canceled her appointment. They said they would charge my card 50% of the services if she had to cancel. Since they CANCELED on us and left my wife not being able to get her hair done before our trip they should give us 50% off. That’s my opinion. Charging people for canceling services should work BOTH WAYS. HORRIBLE integrity and VERY unhappy
Had an appointment consultation with Shannon for hair extensions. I explained what I wanted and asked for her recommendation. Her response wasnt the response I was expecting, but I can accept it as I know my hair is fine and damaged, hense why I was looking into extentions. What I wasnt expecting is how Shannon spoke to me, she spoke down to me and was very condescending. While she was explaining her recommendations she was treating me like I wouldnt be able to afford it and she was talking AT me like she had already made her mind up that I was a waste of time and she didnt want to do extensions for me, it was as if she wanted to ensure I wouldnt ask for extentions so she diliberlty treated me poorly. I have never experienced a professional in this capacity that truly tried to make me feel uncomfortable and unworthy of her time. I mean seriously, the way she treated me was so intentionally rude that I would be a fool to decide to book her for extentions and accept that level of treatment. I could easily afford the extentions, but I would never give this woman a dime. Shannon at Veda in north Acedemy provides horrible treatment to people she judges as not being able to afford the service and how she judges them based on their hair. Do better Shannon, try being polite, professional, and helpful. No one deserves the treatment you dish out, for any reason. Your behavior, attitude, and service is awful.
Great experience as always! Macie takes great care of my hair, with great color and an undercut. All of the rest of the staff are always friendly and helpful.
So first off I waited to post this review because I didn’t want to post a negative review in anger! I have been getting my hair done at Veda for about 4-5 years. About 4 months ago I went in to get my hair colored at a different location...I left In tears and with pink hair.. which I did not ask for and frankly can’t pull off. My colorist who I really enjoy as a person and I have been seeing for years, acted like nothing was wrong which made it worse! About a month ago I got the courage to go to this location to see if I could get what I originally asked for done or just one color to cover the pink.. while making the appointment I detailed what I would need done. I showed up and I believe the stylists name is Sami, was kind at first but as we got to talking she got to making me feel bad about wanting to fix my hair which was not the color I asked for but also incredibly damaged from the color that had taken place a few months prior. She refused to fix my hair as I believe she thought the time it would take would keep her there later than her scheduled shift (about 15 minutes). She tried to pass me off to someone else but after these two horrific experiences I will NEVER go back.. not only did they ruin my hair which still feels like straw- I can actually get over that part... They made me Feel horrible for wanting it done correctly.
Loved the haircut experience. This is my favorite salon. No chemical smells= I leave without a headache! Erin did an amazing job on my hair- I keep getting comments that my hair doesnt look different just way better :) She made me feel safe, comfortable, and at ease and was a great listener making me feel confident that she understood what I wanted.
I never understand the bad reviews about this place. I have been a faithful customer of this chain for over 10 years. The rare times I have had concerns or requests the team has bent over backwards to try and accommodate the need and/or make the situation right.Tammy has been doing my hair for 9 of those years and she is utterly the most amazing, talented, most professional hair stylist I have ever met. I know absolutely nothing about hair but she is always able to interpret my vision and explain to me in full detail what to expect in my new look. I like to go wild with my colors and she is never afraid to try something new while still making me look sleek and sophisticated.She is always worth every penny I spend and it is always so nice catching up with her. I recommend her to everyone I know. Tammy is the only stylist who will ever touch my hair.
I hadnt been back to Veda Salon & Spa for 5 years. I walked in KNOWING I was going to be satisfied. I got the pleasure of having Keri, who is a creative designer do my hair, color and style. She took the time that I needed o so badly & I couldnt be happier with her. Ive never left there disappointed from the first time I was there to my visit today! Im so completely satisfied and recommend to anyone.
Cannot recommend Susan for eyebrow waxing enough! Got my eyebrows done at a different nail salon and they left me looking busted, so I came to Aveda and Susan tweezed me to perfection. On top of that, she took OFF the cost of my other eyebrow waxing from my order as a kindness. Great experience, great brows, great service!
I liked the friendly professional service received at the front desk and also from Macie. Shes very personable and good at light conversation while also cutting my hair. Very knowledgeable in mens hair styles. I really enjoyed the hair wash and hot towel experience. Best haircut Ive had in years and will be going back for sure. Thank you!

I came in for a haircut and a gel manicure. I give 5/5 for the haircut I received. Wendi was very thorough and seeked advice to give me the best pixie cut that she could. I felt very taken care of.Im not sure if the nail ladies were new, but it took 1.5 hours just to get my original gels off and my nails ready for the manicure. We ran out of time, so I had to come back a couple of days later. When I came back, another person was going to finish my gel manicure. 1.5 hours later...the polish was very uneven and my cuticles were not trimmed. She had accidentally sprayed some chemical on the thumb nail, which made it blotchy. She seemed to be doing her best and I had other things to do that day, so I left with what I had. Less than a week later, the gels were chipping off. I ended up just redoing it when I got home. The nail ladies were very nice and professional, but if I pay someone to do my nails that is trained in that field, I expect their manicures to be better than my untrained ones.The salon is very beautiful, warm, welcoming, and has great products. I will definitely go back for my hair cuts and color, but never again for my nails.Update: the salon called me and gave me a complimentary manicure to make sure I had a better experience. It was definitely a lot better. This was 2 weeks ago and my gel nails havent chipped at all and still look amazing. I had my hair cut too and it was a great experience. First impression of Veda. I was scheduled for a consultation today with Rachel, and I left feeling belittled. She spent less than 5 min with me, it felt like I wasnt worth spending any time on. I have had 2 consultations at other salons and the other 2 took a moment to test their product on my hair to check for reactions etc. as part of the consultation but that did not happen at this salon. I wanted to come to Veda because as a consumer quality is important to me. Rachel gave me her price for service and immediately made a comment to the effect that I couldnt afford it. Why would she assume the price was a problem for me? I am happy to pay for quality any day. After her second comment I had to tell her that price was not an issue for me, and I should not have had to say that. Also, her schedule did not have room to squeeze me in for another month and a half which is fine, but why couldnt or didnt she offer to see if someone else was willing to help? I thanked her for her time and told her it was ok, and she said Sounds good. Really? It sounds good to let a customer walk out the door? Very impressed! Beautiful salon and super friendly staff. They treat you as a VIP. Tracy gave an amazing head massage when washing my hair. Shannon gave me a cut just as I envisioned and did it fairly quickly. Her experience showed. Wonderful service. I cant wait to return.
Erin is an amazing stylist. Ive been seeing her for around a year and have never had a complaint about how my hair turns out. I love the spa vibe they have going, and theyre doing a good job of social distancing during this climate. Would highly recommend!
Had an amazing day here. I enjoyed a manicure, pedicure, shampoo, cut and blowout. My feet have never been so smooth! And my hair looks and feels so healthy. But the highlight of my day was a facial by Angela. She was so gentle with extractions, but very through. Angela seemed to go above and beyond with my facial, from the therapeutic hand and arm massage to helping me choose the best aroma for my treatments, she exceeded all expectations.Treat yourself to a spa day here.
Nina R did an AMAZING job for wedding hair. She is so patient and kind.. she really wants to make sure you are happy! Before I moved, I went to her for cut and color, once again, she did an amazing job on my hair. Nina R is so talented and I cannot recommend her enough. From color to cut to updos, she is talented in all of them! You wont go wrong if you go to Nina R, shes absolutely awesome!!!
So fortunate I found Nina at Veda! I don’t trust easily when it comes to my hair, but Nina came highly recommended from coworkers. I couldn’t be more happy with my hair color & cut, service, and experience!
I went for a cut and color. I was greeted and offered a drink and a hot towel at Check in. When Logan came and got me from the waiting room she took me to her chair. She was so sweet and very personable. She kept the conversation going and I felt very comfortable.Usually when I get my hair cut, colored and styled it comes to $120 or more at other salons, but it only came to around $90 here. 10/10 will visit again
I got my haircut my Alli F. today and she did an amazing job. I had not had my hair cut in over ten years because a different salon cut it too short for my liking and I was scared of something similar happening. Alli listened to what I was looking for and my hair came out even better than I could have imagined. I cant say enough great things about Alli and I look forward to making all my future appointments with her!
Ive received many services at this salon - facial, massage, pedicure, waxing, hair color and cut. I have not once had a bad experience. The staff is all so friendly and the products they use are great! They make each service a relaxing one, always look forward to going. I consistently see Marcie for my hair color and cut. She has such a good eye to know what will look good on you, looking back at previous pictures before I started going to her I cant believe how I let myself look! We do pay a price for beauty and it is well worth it and the experience!
For one, great vibe in the salon, friendly faces greeting you and offering a beverage, which helped put me at ease being my first time going to Veda. Two, the hair wash, SO relaxing. And last but not least, Macie did a PHENOMENAL job with the cut. Showed her what I wanted and BAM walked out with it! Thank you Veda for the experience and a BIG thank you Macie for making me feel like 💯! I’ll be back.
I have had good experiences here in years past, but I will never go back here for a partial up-do again. I took my daughter for prom hair, paid $65 for curled ends and a regular, small braid on the side. I could have done that myself and saved $75 (with tip). The gal was shown pics of what was wanted (a large pulled braid), but that is not even close to what she got. Not to mention, the curls were pretty much gone about 3 hours later. When someone books an appointment for any kind of up-do, they probably expect to have something they cant do themselves. I rated it as a 2 because the facility is nice and clean.Edit to post: I spoke with the manager, sent her photos of the hair and she refunded my money (minus the tip, but Im ok with that). She told me they would use the photos for training in hopes to get better. I appreciated that.
We are new to Colorado, and I tried Veda on Academy for a haircut purely on a whim. I was booked with Macie, and she was WONDERFUL. I have long hair with long layers, and she gave me a beautiful cut. Her sweet, sparkly personality is an added bonus. So happy to have found my new stylist on the first try.
Macie was phenom! Had a relaxing, laid back morning getting my hair cut and enjoyed the experience of the whole team. The cut was exactly what I wanted and I will of course be returning for any salon needs.
Angela was amazing to work with, I can’t recommend her enough. I was coming in with a bad balayage from another salon that resulted in a lot of hair damage and she listened to my concerns and looked at photos of what I was aiming for and recreated it perfectly. I don’t know how she managed to blend it all so well but she gave me the perfect fall colored balayage and made me feel pampered while doing it. Thanks Angela!
After coming here for years, my stylist stopped listening to my requests. She gave me the stacked Karen haircut favored by women over 40 several times before I tried another stylist. And the next stylist gave me the same haircut again! Please listen to the customer! I dont know why I paid so much to get the haircut they wanted me to have instead of the one I asked for.
I’ve been going here for over three years now to see the same stylist each time. Staff is always charming and welcoming. Sammy is my stylist and since she knows my hair style I can just sit down and relax without having to think about much which is always nice for me after a long day at work.
Jen was amazing. My eyebrows look so perfect and have the cutest arch. She was so kind and her room was very clean. She walked me though the process and took very good care of everything during. She was quick but not rushed. I will deffinalty be booking with her again.
I had my entire wedding party done here. Morgan was an amazing help scheduling everyones hair and makeup appointments (8 people/14 appointments). I had to change the appointments multiple times, but she was always very patient and professional with me. Susan and Morgan did our makeup, and everyone got exactly what they wanted. I was really picky with how I wanted my eyes done, and Susan took the time to make sure it was perfect for me. Keri has been doing my hair for 10 years, and always does an amazing job. Everyone there made my special day run so smoothly! I even got an emergency package for my wedding day.
Nicole was great!! She listened to what I was looking for and did exactly that. She had a great attitude, even though it was the end of the day, and made my whole experience enjoyable, plus a great hair cut and roots coloring!!
Always a pleasure to get my hair done at Veda. Customer service is always on point, quick and courteous check in and they always offer a drink for the wait, which is typically short. Stylists and Colorists are skilled and Ive never left unhappy about my cut, style, or color. They send specials on your birthday via email, give great scalp massages during shampoo, and complimentary hand massages while waiting for color. Salon is well maintained and facilities clean. Returning customer for sure.
My mom called to make a new appointment/new to Colorado Springs. She made an appointment with the Aveda on N Academy Blvd and was then told she needed to give a 50% deposit that will be held in an account and the balance to be paid at her appointment. My mom was told by Sadie that this is for new customers only. I find this policy rude and degrading. Needless to say, my mom immediately cancelled the appointment. If youre thinking of going here as a new customer, be prepared to pay 50% up front!
Jen has been great to work with over the past 6 months or more. She is friendly, helpful and does an awesome job for me. Be sure to ask for her for your skin care appointments.
I asked for Chris and told him I was going with something new. ( Long layered angle Bob )Since we were not sure about the length I agreed to come back if I didn’t like it and he would fix what I didn’t like specially a new cut I wasn’t for sure. I called for an appointment to fix the sides I didn’t like the way it was laying. I wrote down Wednesday at 4:15 and they said no it was Tuesday. I missed the appointment and have to pay 62.00 after I paid over 100.00 the day before !!I will never go back unprofessional way to do business.

Veda Salon is the best! I went in to have a cut and color, and unfortunately I was not satisfied with the final result. Nobody did anything “wrong”, the color was just not what i was hoping for. I understand coloring is tough, and it is not an exact science. I gave the color a few days, thinking I would might like after a few days. I did not.I contacted the management at Veda and could not have had a better experience! I received a personal response within hours. I spoke directly with Heather, she got me set up with a new appointment and was able to correct my color, I am so happy with the result! I cannot say enough nice thing about Veda Salon, if you are looking for a new salon, look no further! I received professional service my first appointment and that service continued to my second appointment. I’ll be a customer for life!
I have been coming to Veda Salon for about a year now. Shannon Omdahl gives me high lights, low lights and a cut every 8 weeks. She does a fantastic job every time and I am always happy when I leave. I had not stepped foot in a salon for at least 10 years. She put me at ease and someone that I totally trust with color.I was just in today and I have some major personnel stuff going on in my life and I talked to Shannon about it. She had great advice and made me look at the situation in a different light. I totally appreciate her wisdom and how much she truly cares!!! Made my day!!Thanks Veda Salon for having such wonderful staff in every aspect of the Salon. Recommend it to anyone that will listen.

Such a lovely experience.Mikala did my hair cut and bangs. I hadnt my hair cut in a year (covid, ammirite?) and was looking to rehab it. I wanted to shorten it, get layers and fix my bangs. Mikala was incredible personable, friendly, and lovely. I melted when she was massaging my head during the shampoo.The salon had a lovely atmosphere, very calming, professional and clean. While Im not from the area, I would definitely return when Im in the area.
Dani at the North Academy location is the best stylist ever!!! I got my hair colored last Saturday and she was amazing. My hair looks wonderful!! I would recommend her to anyone. Thanks for the great hand massage as well as scalp massage during the washout.

First time in awhile going to a salon since 2018 and I was happy I went to Veda Salon and Spa- On Academy for my color and haircut. Sami took good care of me, was friendly, and funny and I enjoyed my time in the salon which was very nice and clean. So in love with my hair color and haircut and will definitely be going back in the near future for another appointment. Thank you Sami and the rest of the staff for a great customer service experience!
This was my first visit with any Veda Salon. I had a message and it was wonderful. I was using a coupon that I received from my daughter over a year and a half ago that I couldnt use immediately because of a broken ankle. I forgot I had the coupon until recently but it didnt matter - they honored it! They treated me like a queen from the time I walked in the door. The massage was definitely needed - I felt like a different woman when I left. The salon had many other options to offer that I was unable to take advantage of at this time. Maybe later. I would definitely recommend Veda Salon & Spa to anyone.
Had my first cut here yesterday I was greeted with curtsey and professionalism. I am very particular on what I wanted. Lets just say Kyla went above and beyond. I would highly recommend Kyla and I will be sending people her way. She took the time to listen to my wants and needs then explained what the process would be. She even got me a coffee. Soledad is so friendly and helpful! I didn’t know what kind of haircut I wanted and she helped me chose one that I love! I felt comfortable trusting her with my hair and I will be going to her from now on! Veda was very clean, and everyone was very welcoming.
I have been going to Veda since I moved here 9 years ago. My experiences have been amazing, especially those with Tara Kiele - my esthetician. I have difficult eyebrows and she has managed to shape them perfectly at every visit. She also provides other waxing services which she excels at. The atmosphere is extremely relaxing and I tend to get there a few minutes early, just to enjoy the peacefulness! The numerous facials, massages and body treatments have all been wonderfully relaxing and rejuvenating as well!
Nina G. is amazing. She does a wonderful job and is fun to talk to! She is one of a few stylists I have had over the years whose opinion I really trust. The atmosphere of this place is also wonderful. Lovely staff, calming surroundings, just cant say enough good things about it.
Ive been going to this Veda exclusively for nearly 2 years. The staff are great, and Nina G., the stylist I work with, is absolutely fantastic. She hears what I want and makes suggestions Id never think of but are always perfect. Ive spent much more at other salons only for horrible results. Definitely recommend.
Since moving to the Springs, Ive continually had a difficult time finding a stylist. I have semi-curly hair that is difficult to tame, and while it normally takes me a while to find a good stylist, I have yet to find one here, in 3 years. I decided to give Veda a try-- I had Brooke (a master stylist that was recommended). The first time I had her, my highlights were OK, and cut was average. I really didnt have a complaint, so I returned to her. It was AWFUL. Not only did she rush through the highlights, but she left BLEED MARKS near the front part on my hair! This is the main reason I request at least a master level stylist! This time I didnt have a cut, just the partial highlight and it still cost $115. I thought that I saw the bleed line in the salon, but it was definitely apparent at home when I fixed my hair. I have not returned since, and am left afraid to trust anyone here.The bleed lines were bad enough, but another downside to Brooke is that when she washes your hair, she sprays your whole face-- and this happened all three times that I had seen her-- and she will dry you off and rub the towel all over your forehead and cheeks-- and I leave with most of my make up being washed and wiped off. Another thing-- Ive never experienced a more boring salon experience. No talking, no smiling... nothing. Im used to stylists being talkative and fun.The sink also hurts your neck and back of your head-- they should really invest in padding. The other reviews about getting a hand massage while in the back waiting for the color process to set never happened to me here- ever. For the price, this should be something that every customer gets to experience, not just the regulars. Finally, the last complaint I have about Veda in general is the double booking. This is the biggest pet peeve about salons here in CO. Ive never seen this before. I understand you are trying to cram every last client in to make more money, but when it comes to rushing a stylist because the next appointment is waiting (between the highlights/color processing) it gets very annoying. I end up sitting in the back room for almost an hour every time, when I know that the process only needs to sit for 30 minutes. I am paying for a good, quality salon experience, not for being rushed and to be made to feel as if Im in a production line. Take your time with clients, make them feel welcome, and make them feel like the money they are spending is worth it.
Everyone here is so nice and Kayla does amazing work on my hair every time! Definitely recommend to anyone. They also do a really great job with my husbands hair.
I just wanted a haircut, and I got a really good one. This salon definitely provides a broad range of services that look great, but I dont need anything but a standard haircut. Shannon does terrific work in a timely manner. I am a repeat customer and will continue to have her cut my hair. Their scheduling system with reminders is very efficient as well.
My daughter and I have been going here 2 yrs. Not once in two years have We not shown for an app or been late. The lash tech had to cancel and reschedule my apt twice in a row forcing me to then have to pay for a more expensive service since it had been so long. On the 3rd time I had to call the morning of to reschedule. I am a teacher and was being quarantined. When I called the girl on the phone launched into how I will need to pay for the services… this was literally after I said hello I am so and so and need to reschedule my apt today. I was not even given a chance to explain or was the consideration given that I had rearranged my life twice already to accommodate the techs life… we will not be coming back here. I am happy to go somewhere else. They are not the only game in town.
As a first time customer, Shannon EXCEEDED my expectations. Just trust me when I say, BOOK WITH HER.I’ll update my review with more extensive information in the future.Also- credits to the young lady (never knew her name) who attended to me, washed me out, massaged my head and put the toner in my hair! You were AMAZING and omfg I promise ur head massage was good af.ANYWAYS... Shannon is a fkin REAL ONE. She knew exactly what I meant when I said I wanted to touch up my highlights. I had gone to the same person at Ulta for about two years, and the last time I went she touched up my highlights so bad that I could barely see them. So, as someone with thick hair, I was nervous to book with someone new. Shannon gave me highlights that all over, and i truly mean ALL OVER, were dispersed evenly and brightened me up.___________________________________________The only ehhh moment I had was with the front reception. I arrived 10 mins before my appointment and the front of house completely ignored me. It wasn’t until someone from the back came to me that I knew Shannon was running late (15 mins later from appointment time). Coming from someone whom has salon experience, Isnt the job of the receptionist to answer the calls and relate information from stylists to clients?
I totally adore Shannon and her quality of work. I’ve only seen her once before but I knew I’d come back for her talent! I had an appointment today and called Veda to let them know I may just make it in time but that I am showing up. I was advised that as long as I wasn’t more than 15 minutes late it was ok. Gal that I talked to said it was ok, she would let Shannon know. I arrived seven minutes later than my scheduled time and waited another 15 minutes outside. I realize the Covid thing is not fun for any of us. However they would not accept me and offered to rebook me in three weeks. Love Shannon but yup, NOPE!
I have to admit that we had very high expectations after learning how much money it was going to cost for three people. Plus they called me two days after I scheduled Us & said we had to put down a $50 deposit for our appointments. I was supposedly booked with a top level stylist who charged $150 for a color & cut. My Mom was just a cut & booked with a 1st level stylist at $36. Then my daughter was booked with a 3rd level stylist at $106 for color & cut. My hair hadnt been cut in almost 2yrs & thats the only reason I booked with the highest level. I have been coloring my hair since I was 13yrs old. Ive never had trouble dying my hair the color I want. Now I have A Lot of white hair & any dye with any red turns a brassy orange. I specifically told her this & she went ahead & put in red. My daughter actually got the Dark purple I wanted. My stylist blamed it on the fact I have Heat Intolerance, therefore saying I have hot/heat roots. Ive never heard that before & as I previously stated Ive never had trouble attaining the darker color I asked for. After applying my color I was escorted into another room where I sat for 45min. & she never came in once to check on me. I do overheat easily & she never gave me a cap to help with keeping the color off my face. She claimed they were out of them & said she had another customer to attend to & would be back. Hmmmm kinda strange as my daughter gets escorted into the same room & IS wearing the exact cap that wouldve helped me. Instead I ended up with dye dripping down both sides of my neck, down my face, down my Oxygen tubing, & my forehead. Another stylist, washing her customers hair, was kind enough to bring me a hot, moist towel to wipe my face & oxygen tubing off.I explained my old cut & that my thick hair needed to be texturized, she didnt even do that. When my hair finished air drying & I was home, I noticed that the right side is at least 2 inches longer than the left🙄 I paid $150 to get the wrong color & an uneven cut. Didnt even dry my hair or Nothing! My poor Mom asked for layers & got None! Shes already had to cut her bangs herself. Theres NO layers at all in her hair. My daughter cut off enough hair to donate to the Locks of Love but they dont participate in that. So instead she gets her hair in a bag to find another salon that does participate in this extremely important & compassionate program. They also tried to charge Us for a manicure that no one got. My Mom just happened to look at the bill & mentioned it & they said, Are you sure no one got a manicure? REALLY?! I think wed know. I had asked my lady if I could get my eyebrows waxed & she said shed ask about it & I never got an answer.So if youre looking to just spend a lot of money & not get what you ask for then this is the place for you. We wont be back. Its sad because they all act really nice but just dont follow thru on what you ask for.
Pretty disappointed. Checked the prices online, expected to be paying $60 for an overall color. It ended up costing me $185. My total experience ending up costing $210. When I called the next day to clarify the price, the woman on the phone let me know that I had seen a level 6 stylist and that their prices were more. Understandable, but this was never explained to me before booking my appointment or during my visit. The woman on the phone asked if I had signed a color release (I cant remember exactly what it was called) but it made it sound as if this was something that should have been presented to me before, and it wasnt. So not only did I end up paying more for a level 6 that wasnt explained to me, but her assistant was the one who worked on my hair more than 50% of the time, so thats confusing to justify the exponentially higher price. Also, when speaking to her about what I wanted done with my hair, I said I was worried it would turn out too dark and I didnt want red in it....I wanted light ashy brown. And what did I end up getting? Dark auburn hair. I paid $210 for a level 6 stylist (that again, wasnt explained to me) who minimally worked with me and colored my hair exactly to what I said I DIDNT want.
Every visit I am greeted and made to feel at home. My last visit I was helped by Chris who did a fantastic job! Not only did he do an amazing job cutting & styling my hair, he also listened to my future hair style wants and advised on hair care & styling for my out of state wedding!I cant wait to go back!!

This was a life changing experience, every single person in this Salon was friendly and accommodating. They treated every customer with the same level of respect, whether they were there for an entire spa treatment or a level 1 haircut. Lauren even switched her breaks around for us so we could get a massage together instead of separately. Tammi worked MAGIC on my wifes hair, shes a whole new woman! Dont miss this place.
I had one of the best experiences yet at this salon here in Colorado springs, I went in to see Rachel for a color fix on the ambe Ive been trying to get for the past 8 months, I saw 3 other stylist at 3 different salons prior to going to see Rachel no one was getting it right, my hair was orange looked fried burnt everything u could possibly think Rachel looked at it explained what she was going to do and sounded extremely confident in being able to fix it and get me where I wanted to be. She was friendly and so was everyone else in the salon I encountered. I was amazed with my results and extremely happy I nearly cried, i will be returning Rachel is stuck with me 😁. To top things off I got a courtesy call the next day in which Ive never received from any salon. U guys rock. Thank you for the great services!!!! Id love to post some pics but cant figure out how. Either way I was very happy. I was able to upload the pic but not attach it to this post 🤔 but if u look its the pic of 3 in 1 showing the colors.
I see Tara Kiele for my waxing and I have had nothing but great experiences at this salon with her. She is very professional and I leave loving the results every time. I have sent several other people to her and they love the results as well. Would definately recommend coming to this spa for services. The spa is always very clean and the staff are always welcoming. I had every intention of becoming a Veda client. I even came so far as coming in to book an appointment but didnt even get halfway through the door. I walked in, and I walked right back out. The reason? I can only assume that it was a personnel issue, and the manager/owner was being rather sexist. This was going to conclude my comment and I would leave it at that. But I have a recommendation for anyone thats reading this, most chain salons tend to overbook and overcharge, particularly this location of Veda Salon & Spa. A $60 service can easily turn into $200 without warning according to a family member. I have no doubt that the stylists are extremely professional, but I can guarantee with absolute certainty that the higher level management dont care about customer satisfaction, they just care about your money. Shop local, my friends :)
Love the way they treated us with so much care but don’t like the fact that they said the dye was supposed to stay on for long the color washed off in 3 weeks umm…..ok.

I have been seeing Tammy for years for my hair. Tammy is excellent. not only is she a talented stylist and colorist, she always remembers exactly where our last conversation left off. Her memory is amazing and its obvious that she really cares about her guests.On this appointment, I provided Tammy very little information and she was able to magically prepare an immaculate up do for my wedding. Extremely talented lady!
This place has really gone down hill, sadly. I used to rely on Veda Salon for quality hair treatments and a relaxing experience. The last two times Ive been in I have really wondered about the stylists doing my hair. The first was really nice however it was obvious she was inexperienced, lets just say its a good thing I get a one-step all over treatment when I go. The next time I went in the girl seemed distracted and more interested in having a conversation with her coworkers than me and openly admitted she had never done a deep hair color treatment. I dont know what it is, apparently it is what the last stylist had done and I liked it so I just asked her to do the same thing.Long story short I go and pay the extra money to have a relaxing experience with an expert (or at least reasonably knowledgable) stylist. What Ive gotten the last two time was a lot of stress (hoping they dont mess up my hair) and inexperienced and unprofessional stylists.
I’ve been going to Yolanda Kyle for waxing services for almost 9 years and followed her to Veda because she always does such an incredible job and helps make your waxing experience comfortable. Additionally, she is knowledgeable and creates a relaxing atmosphere. If you’re looking for waxing services, I would recommend Yolanda Kyle every time!
I have been coming to Veda on Academy for years now for various services, and have always been impressed by the welcoming and relaxing environment as well as the professionalism of the staff and the quality of their work.Particularly, Tara is amazing! She is magic with waxing and facials and is the only person I trust with my eye brows - not only does she shape them perfectly, but she has some method with the wax that makes the experience not painful at all (usually Im a baby during waxings, flinching and wincing all the while!). She is the best you can get on either side of the Mississippi!!!! And Tara is personable and funny too - the kind of person you feel so at ease with, youd want to go out for a drink after waxing except the top half of your face is too red :)

My wedding day updo was the bomb! However, there was a minor problem but their response still makes this salon 100% perfect and shows the importance of a trial run. I made my appointment with the hair master. She was said to know how to do everything, which was great because the style I chose was complicated. But when I showed the style to her during the trial run she looked shocked. The style was a braid and it was the only thing she didnt know how to do. I am so thankful that she had the guts to admit to me that she couldnt do it and she and the manager were determined to find another stylist that could make my dream hair a reality. They found the braid specialist, who just happened to be available to do my hair the day of the wedding. So it worked out perfectly. And my hair was amazing!!!
I absolutely have love coming to this salon. My experience with the girls is always amazing. I have been there twice and my most recent visit with Mariah yesterday. I love how caring they are and how they really look to give you the best outcome you are looking for. I get very nervous when I try to find someone to give me the colors in my hair because I am so afraid of not enjoying it. However, Mariah did an amazing job and I love the colors! I know that I will be back again and will defiitely ask for her :)

Friendly greeting at check-in. Claudine provided an excellent pedicure and manicure! I am still stopping to admire them today. Chelsea listened to my desires for my color, cut, and style. A superb job on all three! And a relaxing head massage with the shampoo! I have already booked my next appointments for these services.Now, 10 months later, I have had Karley color, cut, and style my hair, as Chelsea moved away. Karley was wonderful, but she is also moving away. Claudine went to a different salon, so now Rochelle provides the excellent manicures and pedicures I have come to expect from Veda. Still returning for the wonderful services, and considering even more services.Even more recently, Shannon Omdahl did a truly excellent color, cut, and style! I will always return to her for these services!
I was there two weeks ago. Wasn’t completely satisfied with my hair. I wanted to know if I could go back and it could be fixed to what I said I wanted. I called the salon and spoke with Aubrey. She said she will call me back that same day and never did. Two days passed and I didn’t hear from her so I called the salon again and another employee took down my message and said she was going to give it to Aubrey Well it has now been a few days again and I have not received a call back. And the number that sandy left is disconnected, so bad service over all :(
My first ever visit to Veda, and I was asking something big. I silvered out my hair and the woman I was asking to do it, Tracy, was super excited to work with my fairly weird request. She was a pleasure to talk to and was definitely a pro. She was excited about her work and confident about every step. I will be returning for my touchups.
Marcie is always so great! Its so hard finding a hairstylist who can cut and style short hair correctly. Ive been going to her for about 7 years now and wouldnt trust anyone else with my hair. The staff at this location is always so friendly!
Daughters experience: VedaNORTH is the WORST with communication. Recieved a referral from Mariah to see Ashley. Made the appointment. A week in advance or more. We drive 30 minutes in the snow. Get there and Ashley looks at my daughter and says I cant touch her hair. its a color correction. After going on and on insulting us about box color. Then I asked for the manager. Not there.. some lead who also was no help and did not look at her hair. They should have called us and told us before we went there that they would not do her hair instead of getting my daughters hopes up. What makes me more mad is that NOT once from any of them did they suggest this is what we can do for her. It was just right out NO. Not once did they actually look at her hair to see what it looks like or what can be done. Or make ANY suggestions. Clearly there is not good communication in this place. Ashley is NOT good at Customer service!!! She rolled her eyes several times at me while listening to me. As we left the lead also rolled her eyes at me. I would say they both failed miserably at trying to correct the situation and offering a resolution.Also:My experience:The price quote that they give you over the phone is not what you will pay. Always a hidden fees. oh we need more product or we need more toner. Its a total scam. They are like a car dealership for Hair.
Ive been several times and couldnt give Macie enough stars. Shes professional, talented, and super friendly. I had to bring my 4 month old son with me to my appointment and both her and Kayla were very accommodating and understanding. Always a great experience 😊
I recently visited this salon for several esthetician services. Sara Fitzpatrick did a fabulous job! I had a multitude of services performed such as waxing, brow/lash tinting, and a very thorough facial. I was very surprised at all the different treatments I received. I was not expecting a full shoulder, arm, and leg massage as well as complimentary aromatherapy! Wow! I was also impressed with all of the different products used on my face, and my skin felt great afterward. I even got a footbath at the beginning of my session! Sara was also careful to explain what to expect with lash and brow tinting and made me feel more at ease in trying it out. I am happy with the results and would like to have it done again in the future. Thanks Sara!
This is the second time Ive had an issue with this salon. I had an appointment at 12:45 and arrived at 12:30. At 12:55 I re-checked in with the same receptionist. She wouldnt even look at me while she asked my name and confirmed that I was checked in. At 1:05 I finally told them to cancel my appointment. I have three nieces I am watching and had booked my entire day around this appointment. No one seemed to care. When youre paying good money, you expect to be treated like a person and receive great service. I will never be back and will never recommend to anyone.
I really like Erin! She did an amazing job cutting my hair and was fun to talk to! If you want an amazing hair cut I absolutely would recommend Erin specifically! What a pleasant experience!
I had a 50 minute massage The Veda from Ryan. The massage was fantastic. I asked Ryan to dig in as my back and neck had been extremely tight for a while. The pressure was perfect. I highly recommend Ryan for a massage at Veda.
I have curly 3c with a 4a mix and Nina has been wonderful. I leave with my hair feeling silky and looking healthy. She does cut it when it is straight and dry because that is my preference. She’s amazing!
Took my better half to get her hair done today. They took a reservation payment after we drove from Woodland Park. She goes in to sit for an hour only for them to tell her they can’t get her hair done today. Will not be returning to this location.
I have been seeing Erin for the past 2 years and I absolutely love her! She listens to what you want and takes the extra time to give a relaxing head and neck massage. Her blowouts are the best!!
We always go here for my childs hair cut. They love bring pampered and it costs the same as a kid salon- but you get a way better haircut!

Services include cuts, up dos, coloring, extensions, lash and brow tints, faux lashes, massages in several disciplines, facials, manis and pedis, lash lifts, and just about anything else you might desire in the beautification services. This salon also offers wine, beer, and mimosas for a completely relaxing spa experience.UPDATE: 5/9/19 Went for my 3rd session with Ms. Sami, and she and her assistants are always on point. She trimmed my hair, and does a color technique each time that is a little different, but with the same amazing results! She always explains what she wants to do, what results we can expect, and how shes going to get from A-Z. Usually I get a hand massage, but this time, I also received a hot paraffin wrap and hand massage, and it was fantastic! Made my achy hands feel so relaxed and soothed--just what I needed after all the keying this week, plus the cold weather wasnt helping at all! After Ms. Sami applied the color, I chilled out in the lounge, and then we headed for the wash bowls. Let me tell you, if you havent had a scalp massage, you dont know what youre missing! Ms. Sami literally had me melting into the chair, she hit every tense spot and the shampoo and conditioner were gentle, sudsy, and aromatic...Love LOVE having my hair done by this young lady! If you get an opportunity to go to this salon, you will be treated very well!
I went and got a massage from Kayla- she is absolutely amazing!! I felt like a whole new person when I left! My shoulders and neck were super tight and sore and she loosened me right up! I highly recommend her & will be seeing her again!
Im so excited that I found this salon - the staff were all so welcoming and friendly! I scheduled 3 appointments in one day and really enjoyed spending most of the day at Veda! Looking forward to my next appointment with Sara.
I likely wont be back. Hadnt had a bad experience until this eyebrow waxing. Im swollen and look like I have either a rash or burns on my brows. There is a lot of pain. For $26 hair wax of just brows, Ill be going elsewhere that is half the price and Ive never had pain and swelling and rash from. Makes me wonder if too hot or unclean or both...ew.😭
Let me start off by saying, that I have been getting my hair professionally colored for 16 years and have never had any issues. I have learned to explain everything that I have done to my hair, and what my goal is for my hair. So when I made this appt I had sent a message, explained to the girl who made the appt, and told the stylist who was going to do my hair- that my hair was previously bleached at the ends, the my roots had greys and was dark brown, that hair pulls orange when it’s bleached, and that I wanted to eventually dye my hair grey.The first thing that happened, was the woman who was supposed to do my hair fought me on what I wanted done (Which was an all over highlight). I had to sit there reexplaining what I wanted 3 or 4 times, until I almost walked out. Finally she suggested doing something that seemed like a reasonable idea for what I had in mind. She had me sign a piece of paper that stated that it would take 3-5 times to get my hair the color I wanted, and that if anything happened the salon was not at fault. Once again, this was disheartening, but as someone who had gone through the coloring process time and time again I was familiar with the patience required so my hair wouldn’t be fried. Then before we started, she told me she was scared to do my hair. Not the way to win confidence of a new client, but she went ahead with the service anyway.Fast forward almost 2 hours... there is still bleach in my hair. Now she puts me under heat.. not unheard of, but after bleach being in my hair that long- I start to worry. So I tell her that I would like it rinsed out as soon as possible. We go over to the shampoo area, and of course my hair needs to be toned, but instead of saying a word to me- she whispers behind me to the master stylist. Almost like she had no idea what she was doing. She leaves me with toner in my hair for about 10 mins, just laying back with my head leaning back in the sink. Meanwhile, she is going on about how her next client is here, and she’s trying to find someone else to finish my appt. This goes on for enough time that I feel even more uncomfortable. Finally I just tell her that I don’t need my hair dried or styled, because she is obviously in a rush. She then hands me her card, and asks me to send her a picture of my hair when it’s dried and styled.Mind you, at this point I have just seen my hair in the mirror. My ends are near platinum blonde and obviously fried. My roots and bangs are orange. Orange. I am in shock. She says, yeah you’ll need a haircut. She had a me a bag of candy and her card, then she walks me to the front and then disappears. I’m furious. The poor girl at the front looked like she wanted to laugh at my mangled hair.I went out to my car and screamed. It was only when I got home and cried in my husbands arms, and soaked my hair in Its a 10- that I was able to really assess the damage. 2 inches of my hair was fried. I called the salon and ended up speaking to a manager. She offered me a complimentary haircut, and assured me that someone else would not mess up my hair further. When I told her I wanted a refund, she told me she had to speak to another manager to see what else they could do. I ended up calling Supercuts and they immediately fit me in and ended up cutting almost 4 inches off of my hair and treating the damage. It was only later that night that I got the manager to give me a refund. But the salons policy is that you have to email them pictures of the damage, so that they can use it as a teachable moment.Needless to say, I won’t be returning and I wouldn’t recommend anyone going there. At least don’t see Kari.
This place would have gotten 5 stars if the front office girls didnt act like they were better than anyone else. The massage was good, the facility was clean from what I could see, but the front office staff was rude and belittling. Plus Im unsure of why a massage is $100 when I can get the same massage with oils at the place I normally go and its $60. Wont be going here and would advise anyone who goes in to be prepared to be looked down on.
Megan has given me the best haircut Ive had in years because she always talks through with me what I want for a hair cut and color, even adding professional suggestions. She is always very friendly and nice and suggests Aveda products for my hair but never pushes me into buying. 5+ stars!
Kayla is amazing! I have been going to her for 3 years and would not have it any other way! She is my go to for amazing, unique hair. Any time I change it up, she makes it happen. Her talent is unmatched!
Very loud atmosphere. Also, the level 2 stylist I had cut my daughters hair was way too rough with her. Even though my 5 year old sat very still, she brushed her hair so hard that her head moved and we left with a crooked cut. Prices were also high. Prodigy Salon on Powers was way better. Their level 1 stylist cut my 2 year olds hair without any problems.
Whenever we vacation to Colorado Springs I try to squeeze in a Veda visit. Ive trusted them with my wedding hair color, a dramatic chop off, and corrective color. Each time I have great results. Alex did amazing color this last visit. Will be coming back again next time!
Derek did miracles when it came to my hair! He completely nailed my dream hair color and cut. I had a horrendous experience at another salon but Derek completely fixed it and made it more gorgeous than I could imagine. Absolutely will be seeing him again!
Ive been going to Veda for years, specifically to see Tara. She is a great aesthetician and provides a very comfortable environment for all services. She remembers the specifics about my needs and is meticulous about eyebrows!The staff, whether on the phone or in person, are accommodating and take care of needs before and after all appointments.I would recommend Veda Salon on Academy for any and all beauty services – especially Tara.
This company can be a good place to work for people who need a flexible schedule, its generally easy to get time off for vacation and they do provide education. However, my biggest complaint is they take money out of your paycheck to refund your guests if theyre unhappy (I believe this is illegal and Im still looking into it through the states wage complaint process). The service providers work hard and hardly make anything as is unless theyre one of the highest levels. If youre a guest whos been abusing that- please dont, it literally comes out of their paychecks- if you need something redone, talk to your service provider and see what they can do and then have the decency to pay full price for if you know it was your miscommunication or tip the hell out of them if its something youre not being charged for.This company has had a history of illegal practices. When I first started working there, they didnt want to pay for mandatory meetings- still dont pay for reviews as far as I know, which is a mandatory meeting. Also youre paid on commission, but youre currently required to stay in the building your full shift unless youre a master stylist, you dont get paid for that time even though they require you to be there. They block stylists who are paid on commission to cover the shifts of the housekeepers when theyre sick (youre not paid hourly for that either). Theyre unprofessional in so many ways its hard to work there for any length of time. When I brought up the concern that I felt deducting money from our paychecks to refund guests was illegal, the owner acknowledged it was theft and still refused to pay me, he even asked if I was having personal or emotional issues for bringing it up. I cant imagine saying that to a man with a complaint you just said was legitimate, so that felt kind of sexist to me. I was also threatened by the owner who said that if I didnt like their redo policy I could just not receive any new guests (which is workplace retribution and its also illegal). When I addressed this concern with the manager Aubrey, she sent me back a screenshot of the guests negative review in order to be catty instead of addressing a legitimate complaint. She doesnt let staff go home when theyre sick or injured and shell do anything to accommodate a guest- including taking out of your paycheck, asking you to work past close, sending you home in the worst part of a bomb cyclone... etc. Youll need to scrutinize your paycheck and benefits because they mess those up on a regular basis too and the deducts they do arent always listed as a line item- so money might just be mysteriously missing. The managerial staff at these salons are atrociously under qualified and abusive to their staff. If youre considering working here, there are a lot of reasons why I worked here for so long, mostly flexibility and the service provider staff, but just know what youre getting into. And for the patrons, honestly, I would consider taking your money somewhere else instead of giving it to a business that mistreats employees.
Christopher and the front desk ladies are amazing! I screwed up and showed up to the wrong location for a bang trim and Christopher squeezed me in anyway with no hesitation. The front desk woman was so kind even though I had made the mistake. Definitely my new salon! Thank you for your great customer service!
So, now I they responded to my review by saying they tried to get a hold of me however they couldnt. Whats so interesting is they had both of our numbers, mine and my moms and they could see clearly who made the review so it would have been easy to look up. I dont see the problem and I definitely didnt hear from anyone. If they truly tried to get a hold of me then they would have known I was with my mother, Dawn and we had an appointment with Becca on Sunday, mothers day. how many people came in that day to have their nails done? I didnt see anyone waiting.
I recently moved to Colorado Springs and finding someone to cut and color my hair was a major challenge. I called the salon and told them what I was looking for. They suggested Abby. I have to admit I was nervous, but I had pictures of how I like to style my hair, so we referred to those pics a couple of times. I was very pleased with the result and made a follow-up appointment. I also made an appt. for my husband. Next time I will discuss highlights for the upcoming summer months.
Do not go unless you want to deal with horrible customer care, don’t even think of touching or smelling any product you might be interested in buying because you will be rudely ridiculed for just wanting to know what it smells like! If you do not comply with their own personal mask preferences as in not just a face covering but the mask they want you to wear then you can expect for the hairdresser to immaturely refuse to do a service and be asked to leave. Save your money and spare yourself the misery go somewhere else that is willing to do what hairdressers are meant to do which is make people feel better and beautiful not impose their own personal fear and control on paying customers.
Ive been going to this salon for awhile and have had several different stylists in that time. Each and every one has been very friendly, listened to what I wanted, didnt push products on me after I said no, and did an excellent job. Im never disappointed.
I come on a regular basis for a pedicure and have always been pleased with the girls doing the nails. But the noise level coming from reception makes it a less than enjoyable service. I mention it practically every time. So I enjoy the peace in the spa after.
I am dissatisfied with my spa services because I felt rushed. I received three services from Yolanda and all three of them were done within an hour and 5 minutes. My facial alone was supposed to be an hour. The services are so expensive so I expected to get at least the time advertised for the service. I am also unsatisfied with my eyebrow wax because it was $26 and my brows are uneven.
Im always pleased by the work that Jose does on my hair. My color is perfect, something other colorists have not been able to accomplish in years. He listens and works your crazy ramblings into a beautiful style that fits you specifically. Love my hair.

I had to get a pre jump on my hair for my wedding, and had yet to find a hair girl in the springs. I have been going to veda to see Tara (who is Amazing) and asked her opinion on a stylist for my needs. ( extremely long thick hair) She suggested 3 and hooked me up with Summer Beckwith. I could not be happier with the cut, color, efficiency, and how fast she was with it. I will definitely be scheduling another appointment!
Shannon (not the stylist, but the assistant I believe?) was honestly the friendliest person in any aveda Ive ever been to, and the reason for the 5 stars! Stylist was good also, and she worked quick which I appreciate, the only downfall about any visit to aveda Ive ever had is hearing the gossip between the co-workers, makes me wonder what they say about clients if they talk bad about each other
I had a trim/style with Angela Captain & thought she was TERRIFIC! The salon is beautifully kept and decorated & Angela listened to my needs and my hair looks & feels fantastic!! In addition the prices were so reasonable! I will most definitely be back to visit this location & specifically Angela!

My pedicure with Patrice (shes amazing) was lovely. The last pedicure she gave me lated almost 6 weeks. No lie!!!!Just a few things Id like to see having more attention paid to it is the waiting area always has empty soda cans or glasses/cups on the tables. Three times that Ive been there, they hadnt been cleaned up and just left there.Another thing is I was handed a warm towel to take to the spa waiting area before my pedicure. It was tattered and frayed and very, very old. Please throw those away! Dont give something like that to a customer!
I have been seeing Destiny for over 4 years now and she has always done a great job on my hair! She listens to what I want, while also giving some suggestions on what she thinks would look good. I have recommended her to several friends as well. Highly recommend!

I have been going here for several months now to get my bangs trim. Nice thing is bang trims are free. However a couple months back I had a really bad experience with the way someone cut my bangs. I looked like loyde from dumb and dumber. I got a free pedicure because I was unpleased so I decided to give them another chance and my bang trims have been horrible. I now look like I have a reverse mullet. Party in the front instead of back. I will now be looking for a new place to cut my bangs.
My company has air duct the veda salons for over 5 years and clean the dryer ducts by removing the lint from them to keep the airflow safe and free from obstructions. I have not had them cut my hair or trim my toenails or taking care of my fingernails. They are always busy Pleasant and friendly with the customers.
Id like to go back and book more massages and maybe some mani/pedis. The staff was quite frendly when booking, and when I had to reschedule my couples massage. The 2 masseuses were awesome, Aubrey was my masseuse and she was dope! Hit all the spots, very professional and nice. My boyfriend and I got exactly what we paid for, felt super relaxed and had a good time. Towels, robes, and slippers were clean, and the setting was quite relaxing. Theyve done really well to make a relaxing oasis out of the commerical real estate plot theyve got.
The service here is fantastic! I prefer the experience here over massage heights. I give a 4 star rating because setting up a deep tissue massage appointment via their website takes a long time. Its difficult to maneuver through their clunky calendar to find available therapists. Just call them and set it up with the help of a real person. I come back to this place anytime I need to relieve stress!
Came in yesterday for a Spa Pedicure with my wife. The pedicure was performed by the great Mandy, and it was an amazing experience. She provided a wonderful pedicure and was a lot of fun to chat with as well. After a positive experience like this I will definitely come back here.
Prices are over the top. The deep tissue massage is $20 more dollars than regular massage. Im a massage therapist & Ive never charged $20 more for deep tissue. I think the massage was $95 for 50 min. Customer service stunk @ corporate office. I Was told by someone who works there they might be hiring so I called the corporate office and left several messages asking please for a phone call back even if they were not hiring, but I never even got one phone call in return. Too bad my hubby bought a gift certificate here I will use it & never ever come back. I will also let people know about the non existant customer service & my entire experience.
NiNa is amazing! I asked for a blunt bob and she cut and styled it just like I wanted. She is so sweet too, she made me feel at home. I highly recommend booking an appointment with her.
I have my waxing done with Tara Kiele at Veda on Academy and it is the best waxing experience Ive ever had. Having Brazilian waxes done requires a great level of trust in the person providing the service, as does having an eyebrow wax, as it is what represents what people see as you walk around on a daily basis - both require utmost skill, precision, care, and the highest level of trust in an aesthetician and I think Tara is THE best! Due to my lack of research, I was ignorant to what I was capable of doing to my hair. Chris thoroughly explained to me what my options were and educated me. He was very professional, he was ok with exploring other options and was just a fabulous person. I came in and made it more difficult then expected and it caused for more time to be spent on me. Chris balanced me and his other customers very well and paid the same amount of attention to all of us. I loved him and I will be back. Thanks yall for being great.
