Last night my best friend and I enjoyed a 30 minute foot massage at King Spa! I was repeatedly asked by them to write a review - so here is my honest one. The space itself was clean and the massage was great! The prices are fair (however I’d advise bringing cash to avoid their $4-$6 fee). However the space is not in the safest spot - I would not advise women going alone or after dark. And overall there could be improvement to their hygienic standards - such as visibly washing hands prior to the massage and using individualized products - not just whipping out an already used jar of Vaseline. That said I would consider returning in the future.

IT WAS AMAZING!!! When I came in my back was in so much pain! The very nice lady worked out every knot! She took her time and really made me feel so wonderful! The place is so clean and decorated so nice! Its relaxing and the atmosphere is perfect. She offered bottle water as soon as I got to the room. If u want a good massage this is definitely the place to come! Oh and the prices are the best! Come see Nancy and the other ladies!

Highly recommend the Royal Spa located in NE Columbia, SC. Every time that my neck, back or legs are hurting this is the place to come. Every experience is amazing and the best most relaxing massages. The staff is very professional, friendly & incredibly talented. The price is fantastic. My family will definitely be going back for another session!

My significant other and I recently visited and were absolutely thrilled with our experience. While we dont do couples massages, we both enjoyed individual sessions, and we couldnt be happier with the service. The atmosphere was clean, calming, and welcoming—everything you hope for in a massage place.Ive been to a few other places around the area, and I can confidently say this is the best one yet. From the moment I walked in, the lady who attended to me was incredibly warm and kind, making me feel right at home. Her attention to detail and care made the massage not only relaxing but truly rejuvenating.Well definitely be back! I was in desperate need of a massage. I was greeted with so much excitement and had the best massage ever! She took away every pain that I had in my body! She went the extra mile to make sure that my massage experience was one of a kind the music was peaceful the ambiance was relaxing I encourage anyone who wants a great massage to come to Royal spa!

Friendly staff, greeting you as you walk in. Place is quaint and very clean.Manager is amazing and very knowledgeable of the massage procedures. Price is reasonable. You even get your feet massaged, included; something not seen at many spas. I would recommend it.

Nancy is an amazing massage therapist. Every time Ive gone to see her, my body aches go away. Shes the only masseuse that has been able to take away my pain completely. I had severe back pain two months ago where I could barely turn around to look back when I was driving. She did a full body massage for me and it took away the pain. I thought I was going to need to go to a doctor to get painkillers because the back pain was so bad, but Nancy took away the problem. I saw her today and have been having bad shoulder pain for a week. Today, the pain was taken away as soon as she did only a 10 minute chair massage for me. You wont be disappointed by having her give you a massage. Also, the store is very clean inside and has nice music and ambience.

This spa is pretty good as far as providing relief and relaxation. Ive been here for a couples massage as well as individual massage. Ive attached the services menu because it was hard to find.Take your cash for the service and tip because theres a charge for using your card. And the tip expected is $10 minimum. But you will probably want to give more because the massage is pretty good.Its not a fancy place but the service is good.

The ladies are super nice and accommodating. My boyfriend and I got massages and it was relaxing. I highly recommend you go there.

First of all, let me say I do not understand how they got a 5 star rating. When my back was literally beat up. Not massage, not rub down, but legitimately beat up in the end on top of that doing this service. She had to stop to go answer the phone. And the door when is she decided to come back? She decides to beat my back up some more notice. I say beat my back up because she never touched my arms or my lyrics. Or my feet. She just rubbed them in what she touched them to say she gave him a massage. She came back to beat my back up again. The icing on the cake was when after the horrible service I had received. I still decided to give her a $5 tip. She told me no. She wanted a $10 tip .. she worked hard🤬🤬🤬🤬👿👿👿😡😡😡😤😤at that point I just walked out the door. I do not and I mean. Do not recommend anyone to this place of.

As a massage therapist I know the industry quite well. I was visiting from out of town and desperately needed a massage for my hurting back.Before going I read the reviews and found some excellent ones so I took a chance. Nancy was very friendly when I entered and told me she could take me right away. She wanted me to prepay the massage AND the tip. RED FLAG. I did prepay the massage but not the tip. I then stepped into a simple cold room. She turned on the heater to make it warm and left. I stood there unsure about whether she wanted to start face up or face down and how much clothing she wanted me to take off. LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. I ran after her to clarify. I got on the table and took the very small cloth to cover my butt. NO BLANKET IN THE WINTER. I laid there for a good while, maybe 5 minutes. Then Nancy entered and started massaging. Her TECHNIQUE WAS GOOD.Deep tissue is what I needed and thats what she gave me. Five minutes later she walked out without saying a word. Where did my therapist go? I had to laugh because this is a no go in the business. After about 3 minutes she came back. I told her, Nancy you cant just walk out when youre massaging me without saying anything. She answered, I had customer, I cant lose customer. SAFETY AND SPACE VIOLATION She basically interrupted my massage to attend to a walk in customer. AN INTERACTION I WAS PAYING FOR! We argued and she got angry. How could I not have sympathy for her attending to the walk in customer during MY massage? 😂. She continued to massage me. She pushed the towel off of my butt. When I wanted to cover it again she said, No problem, Im woman, Im not man. Ok whatever, I thought. I am not very self conscious when it comes to my body. Then she started talking in Chinese to her coworker through the door. She seemed upset. Suddenly, the door opened and another female briefly came in. Im still butt naked on the table. PRIVACY VIOLATION. The rest of the massage was good. MY BODY FELT SO MUCH BETTER AFTERWARDS. Because her technique was good and I know how much energy a deep tissue massage takes I generously tipped her $10, despite all the violations. She asked for more. I explained all the violations to her and left. Im only giving her 2 stars because she worked hard, otherwise I would give her 0. This will remain an UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE!

The prices were high. The massage was not good. There was a language barrier for me to describe my needs or the massage. $10 extra for coconut oil. Just not worth it.

Nope, all the way around,a waste of money, charge upfront, demands a tip and doesnt give a real massage, also almost burned me with the hot stone!

She gets rave reviews because of the pressure she can provide. However for someone whose muscles are super tight they do NOT want deep tissue. One of the reasons for effleurage is to warm up the muscles by bringing a blood supply to them. She immediately starts in with the heavy pressure, inappropriate technique. I almost jumped off the table several times. I insisted that I wanted soft. And she kept telling me that if she didnt use hard that I would not benefit. When I only gave her a $5.00 tip she told me, Next time you bring more. I work hard. I never asked for hard. She wants $7.00 extra for coconut oil and $6.00 credit card fee. I was in agony the next few days. I could hardly walk. I regret that I laid there while she continued to torment me. Im asking myself why I didnt get up and leave!

My girlfriend and I went here for a massage and it was great!!! The ladies are amazing people and very nice they are also very skilled. This was a great experience and I’d definitely come again!:)

Being a massage aficionado, and having gone without for months due to Corona concerns we threw caution to the wind and set an appointment.Ping met us in her mask and sprayed a government approved solution on our shoes and then scanned us for temperature. Passing that we were ushered into a spacious waiting room and then Katy took us into the room. She speaks little English but her knowledge of massage techniques and body manipulations rivals that of a martial arts master. She identified problem areas and worked to relieve my problems with a dogged determination that was truly amazing! She only weighs about 100 lbs. But was able to elicit tears from me as she worked problem areas. NOTE : I requested hard techniques and she followed my instructions and body feedback to do this. If youre new to massage, or returning after a layoff, start with soft and for a short period. We went hard manipulation for 90 minutes!They kept me provided with water and Ill be keeping hydrated for the next few days as toxins that were in the tissues are released and flushed!Katy is a small but muscular dynamo. In 45 plus years of getting massages, including Thailand, Philippines, Korea and Japan, THIS WAS THE BEST MASSAGE I HAVE EVER HAD!Katy has the ability to intuit what to do better than I do, and Im a well trained and practiced amateur.Do yourself a favor and visit the ROYAL SPA. After all weve been through this year, our bodies store stress and its a killer. Non-drug, natural and in use for thousands of years; massage is an excellent way to tune up for a new and better you!

The full body and hot stone massage with special oil relaxes you so much 10/10 must do anything

Best massage place in town. Every time I called, they’d always made room & time for me and my family. Jay makes us feel like family. I always feel relaxed and rejuvenated after every visit to the Royal Spa. Separate rooms for full body massage, chair massage and foot massage. They also do cupping which was such a great experience. A must visit!!!

We have been going to Royal Spa for years and they feel like family. I am a disabled veteran and constantly need to get massages. Royal Spa always has experienced and very professional masseuses. The location is very clean and spacious. They accept walk-ins and I have never been turned away. They have an extensive listing of services and very reasonable pricing for the services provided. Located on Two Notch Road with another location on the other side of town. If you have never tried them out you should.Veteran friendly.

I called around 5:45 PM tonight, just hoping they had an opening. They took me right in at 6 PM!Amy was my massage therapist. She did such a fantastic job! I had a lot of discomfort and stress in my neck, shoulders, and low back. Without even telling her, she seemed to intuitively know the places that needed to be worked on more than others.The facility was clean, the service was great, and the prices are fair. I would highly recommend, and I plan to go back soon!

The worst experience I’ve ever experienced & it began walking through the door. I came for a standard Swedish massage that was rough/rushed when asking for light pressure. My body hurts worse than when I came in. I was extremely disappointed and frustrated in the fact that I paid $14 extra for coconut oil (totaling $84) and it was only used for 10 minutes then was switched to the lotion. The most unprofessional experience was while I was in the midst of my entire bare upper body being massaged, the door kept opening (& being left open) with my massage therapist & people out front were yelling back and forth. A man who worked there as well just walked in without knocking or verbal notification and I’ve never felt more uncomfortable in an establishment than I did at that moment.

Nice owner. Called to get work done on lower body only with focus on quads due to ton of running. Roughly 4-5 minutes were done on quads with compressions on top of the sheet only on the quad. She said she can’t put oil on quad because it makes it hard to massage. Had no issue with putting oil on my hamstrings though. First place I’ve ever been to out of the 100 massages I have got that do that.

This was my first time getting a massage!! This place was amazing!! The atmosphere was warm,inviting and peaceful!! Lee made sure I was comfortable.. He show care and had nice conversation... and made me feel relaxed I will be returning.. Thank you Lee..

I havent gotten a massage in a while and most places Ive been to havent been what I would consider a massage, but rather feels like being petted (rolls eyes). I decided to make an appointment on this rainy day and was impressed. When I walked in the first thing they did was spray your shoes, give you hand sanitizer and take your temp. Very clean environment. The prices are reasonable and the associates are very friendly. Once in the room you get ready and hop underneath a blanket, while listening to calming massage music. The lady came in and she assessed the body and then went to work. Im so glad it was an actual massage! 60 min turned into 90 and I was perfectly fine with that! Having had massages in several different countries Id definitely put this on that level. I would recommend this massage spa to anyone who likes great service. I think one of my favorite parts was having hot stones on my spine area. Very soothing.

Best massage I have experienced in several years. Deep enough, but not too painful. Full massage included upper and lower extremities. She also concentrated on trouble spots without being asked to do so. Great massage and will definitely go back.

Bought a massage for my son’s birthday. The massage therapist Amy was great!! He fell asleep during the entire massage. We will return. Highly recommend. Not like those other spas where you buy 1 hour but get 40 minutes.

The lady at the front was pleasant, but barely able to communicate with me. Also, the place had a musky, slightly musky smell. They require you to pay up front before the massage so, if using a card, youre also expected to add the tip. Still, after reading the reviews, I opted to continue.The lady who did the work was nice, attentive, professional and did give a good rub with lots of pressure. When asked to target specific spots for a deep massage, we couldnt communicate and most of what I got was a fast, firm rub, but no targeted, deep tissue massage. I wont return.

I have been going to Royal Spa for over 10 years. They are very professional and always kind and respectful. I have used many of the therapist over the years. Currently using P.J. She is one of the best. She and Royal Spa will not disappoint.

Despite having undergone four back surgeries and one neck surgery, I continue to have chronic back and occasional neck discomfort. On February 11, 2023, I awoke with significant neck and shoulder discomfort and contacted Royal Spa to schedule a Deep tissue and Shiatsu massage. Although I arrived 10 minutes late for my 2:30 p.m. appointment and had to wait an hour, the wait was well worth it. PJ escorted me to a room where I was instructed to lie face down. It was uncomfortable to lie in that posture because the pain was so strong. I disclosed to PJ that I had undergone four back operations and one neck operation. She integrated hot stones to the massage, targeting every knot and spasm. I was unaware that I had tight muscles in other places until PJ loosened them. I felt like I had a brand-new body after my 90-minute massage. On February 12th, I was a little sore, but the most important thing to do after a massage is to drink a lot of water. I owe my pain free day to PJ. No other massage therapist has ever been able to alleviate my discomfort, even when I received weekly massages for chronic back and neck pain before and after my operations. Schedule an appointment with PJ at Royal Spa if you experience chronic pain and require instant relief. The bottom line is massage is more than a luxury need, but have many health benefits.

This is one of the best massage places that I have ever been to. They say that a massage can reduce cortisol or stress levels by 30%. I sincerely believe this place reduces my stress level about 75%. I am so relaxed. This is an enjoyable experience.

Last time here was probably in April and and me and my wife had the worst experience. The man kept trying to look under the sheet at my wife after folding it up close to her private areas. The lady kept trying to stand in front of me so I wouldnt see it. Will never go back and I hope that no one else has experienced this.

Went there today after reading all the good reviews I figured Id give them a try. Nothing but a waste of money. First off they dont know how to do a proper massage. 2nd they tried to jack up the price on me after we stood right there and they originally told me how much it was. The table shower is a joke. Then when I get ready to leave the masseuse tried to take money out of my wallet saying I owed it to her. I never asked for anything extra. Just a massage. Ive probably been to 30 or more of these places in different locations and States and this one is definitely in my bottom two worst ever.

We love this place. Great massage and reasonable prices. Very friendly staff. Very clean facility. But it is not decorated like Massage Envy. It is a low key, simply furnished place.My wife and I have had a couples massage here. You leave feeling like putty. Great massage. Bars in ceiling for back walking. Nothing helps my back as well as having someone small walk on it.

Its always a great welcomed experience with Mr. Lee and staff. Absolutely the only place I go to wind down and get a great massage from a professional therapist. Highly recommend.

They don’t have their prices together or honor their birthday discount that they have displayed outside of their establishment. After going back and forth with them for 3 minutes, I said ok. She then tells me I need to pay before my massage. I walked out. Last year they were perfect, now I’m never coming back again.

My mom and I got a hand massage and foot reflexology (with some scalp and neck thrown in there too) from Lee and Vikki and it was amazing! They were very nice and considerate.

Came to town and needed to get the stress of work out. New to this place. I was able to get a message from ‘Lynda’. I have had many massages over the years but both the foot massage and back massage one of the best ever had. I would highly recommend this place for a great massage for the price.

This place is Magnificent! I took my grandmother and myself and we both enjoyed it. Deep tissue massage the young lady climbed upon the table and really got in. They massage your face,Hands, Butt Everything. If hands could be labeled they should be marked as Magic.

Professional doesn’t seem to have no formal training.My entire body started aching after the session.I normally go to licensed therapists out here in Columbia, SC which charges around 50 dollars. Here I paid 60 bucks but the quality of service was no way near to those licensed therapists.
