Clayton Bar and Grill

Really good food. Its more upscale than your average bar and grill. They have some interesting things on the menu, and they obviously put a lot of care into their food. They easily have the best bourbon selection in Concord. If youre looking for something rare and are willing to pay for it, they have a lot of options. Definitely worth checking out.

A keeper.Burgers are tasty and moist, even for well done requests.Beer choices prefer local brews, draft and bottle/cans.Staff is attentive and orders were accurate.Meat patties are thick, and buns are fresh. Lettuce, tomatoes, etc were fresh as well.Parking in the back and lots of it.Outside sign is small so you might miss it. It is right beside another restaurant, sharing an entrance/driveway.Adjoining bar area has tables and bar stools.Outside dining available in the rear.

Everything was yummy. The pretzel is good n a decent portion size...it went fast!Only reason to take a star off was because my friend ordered fish n chips but they didnt tell her they were out of tarter sauce until they brought out all the food (they took it off the bill so that was cool). And I was given the wrong hard seltzer (but I ended up liking it).Update: was there on Cinco de Mayo. Place was busy. All tables filled. Food is still yummy. Husbear has fallen for the fettuccine Alfredo w shrimp. I have the mushroom burger n fries. Good quality meat in the burger.2nd update: the Hawaiian burger is good but very messy. Now I swap the fries out for cheese curds!! So yummy!

This place privately stand behind the Clayton Rd. There are plenty of parking spots available for guests. Restrooms are well maintained and staffs are welcome. Reservation is also available via phone. The shop is decorated with cozy light fixtures. The cafe bar is a plus. The ample choices of beverages await for your visit. I think one way to improve for the better experience is a pasta menu with limited selection. Overall, the shop has good size rooms for not only individual but also for family with kids. It is a good place for the game day. A greater entertainment experience is to update the bigger high resolution screen on the wall without lagging show.

Walk-in to-go order.Not busy; interacted w first person, they never came back to take my order; i asked the bartender, he took my order while making a drink, repeated it back to me wrong.Quoted 15-20 mins, took closer to 25-30.Got home, the no onions burger had onions in it, caesar salad was stuck to the bottom of my burger; the burger is humongous, and it fell all apart when eating it; other reviews said burger is a frozen beef pattie and another said it’s over salted, and unfortunately, it’s absolutely true. The food is heavyweight disgusting! Don’t waste your time or money here. I sooo wanted it to be good, but it’s not!

Fantastic food, burgers and philly were really fresh and the quality of the ingredients showed.Amazing beer selection too, had good unique options that you dont see everywhere. Would come back for this alone.Atmosphere was great as well, owner greated us once we got seated. Really made us feel special and was a nice gesture.The building looks a little boring from the outside, but the food and service goes well beyond making up for that.Will be back again for sure.

Went here for breakfast. However, they DONT serve breakfast anymore (another couple came in after us, but left because they wanted breakfast, too). We decided to stay, since we did not want to spend the extra time going somewhere else. I had the fried chicken sandwich with onion rings, she had the fish and chips. The chicken was thin and dry, and the rest of the sandwich was nothing special, but the onion rings were actually really good! As for the fish, it was nicely (not overly) battered and was a good firm fish. Unfortunately, the fries were dark brown and overcooked. We also had Bloody Marys, which were well made and tasty! Service was satisfactory, & staff was friendly. Tough call, not sure we will go here again. I guess you could consider this more of a bar that serves food, than a restaurant with a bar.

Our first time and was super impressed. Very clean, great service. We had a burger and the Taco’s - both were very delicious and good sized portions. Can’t wait to go back and try everything on the menu.

Great food with great service. Our waiter was very attentive and even offered his own recommendations off the menu. The portion sizes were decent along with the prices. Definitely going to visit during their happy hour!

Burgers are top notch. Mushroom jack burger my favorite. Sweet potato fries are great. Order the Morgan Territory beer you wont regret it

This is a good place to eat. I’ve been here a few times. The food is pretty good and so is the service. That being said, I went again today for a late lunch and when I got my bill I was surprised (well let’s just say I was annoyed) to see that the tip was added to the bill. This has never happened to me the other times I was there. I know restaurants typically add the tip to large parties, but there were only three of us. If my wife hadn’t noticed it, we might have tipped twice. Frankly, I don’t think any restaurant should include a tip on the bill. It’s my choice wether I want to tip or not, and I normally tip very well but this rubbed me the wrong way. Anyone else feel the same way?

They were short staffed. The food was delicious. We were there with friends so no rush or hurry. Amazing burgers and BBQ Asian salad

Teach the bartender service. Nobody in here, met a friend at the bar top. We are the only 2 people at the bar top. Was not served for 10 minutes. Dude was just walking around the restaurant and finally came up, snapped his fingers and pointed at me and said need something?. Seriously? Not a sorry for the wait? No tip

Came for a beer and a small bite to eat and it happened to be happy hour! Mango habanero wings were delicious and they had a good beer selection! I will be back!

1st time here and we loved everything! Garlic fries & Jalapeno Burger were AMAZING! Honey garlic chicken wings...OMG so good!Greek Salad, so fresh & delish! Service was also great! We will be back, for sure!

Came here on a whim and definitely wasnt disappointed. The service is fast and friendly, the cook definitely knows what hes doing, perfect medium rare burger, and the fries/onion rings were cooked perfect as well. 10/10 would recommend

Burgers and sandwiches are their strengths, the fried chicken sandwiches being lovely. Pesto brussel sprouts are a healthy portion to share for 3-4 people. Good tap list.

I believe this place recently re-opened… We stopped by for some drinks and a quick bite while in the area and I was thoroughly surprised - friendly staff, clean restaurant, good drinks (Toronto delight was delicious) and the cowboy burger was on point. Definitely will be back next time I’m in the area

Delicious hamburgers, hefty ones but pricey. Place is not soundproof, it gets really loud and small tables are too close from ech other, you hear juicy gossip though lol

Im glad these guys have opened. I was waiting for Monas to come back but I guess not. I went last night and the food was on point and it was a fun place to watch the warriors game.

The old bar and grill is back! Cowboy burger is very good and just a nice place to chill and watch a game.

Where do I start, how about the fried chicken sandwich. Just a small step above fast food. Then I could literally taste the fish in the grease on the fries.

I ordered the nacho fries. The fries were so dark brown I couldnt tell them from the bacon. They should change their cooking oil more frequently. Yuck

My chicken pesto sandwich was good, my wifes BLTA was not as good. Too much lettuce and limp bacon.

My son and I had quick and friendly service as we had a tight window, which they delivered on. Will give this place another try when we are not short on time. Thumbs up!

I was sad when Monas closed because of a kitchen fire. BUT....wow when I tried Clayton Cafe I was super glad I did!!!! GREAT FOOD and even better service!!! Go try them
