Gen Foot Spa

Sadly, I got lured in by the good reviews. The ambience is decent and the place was clean. The massage was horrible, at best. I refrained from walking out, but that was hard to do. The guy I got just kept rubbing lotion on my feet in the same place for an hour. He had no real massage skills, no knowledge of foot anatomy, and no reflexology skills. To make it worse, he sniffled the entire time. GrossMaybe it was allergies and not an illness, but for the costumers peace of mind, please wear a mask rather than wiping your nose with your hands repeatedly and touching my feet. I immediately went to wash my own hands and then got a pedicure to wash my feet. I wish I had never gone.

So, here it goes...This IS NOT reflexology.Scheduling the appointment was fine and the woman who helped me was easy to understand and very nice.Upon arrival we checked in for our 90 minute foot/leg/neck & back appointment only to find that this does not include a foot soak so we added on. Weird. They have you pay first, which is also weird but no biggie. Its just that if you decide to add on a service youre paying again.We were then taken to the next room where all the chair-beds are located. Its one large room, which is fine. I immediately noticed THERE WERE ONLY MALE attendants available; Im intentionally not using the term masseuse because theres no way my guy was a masseuse.With the neck/back/arms service you first sit on an ottoman and soak your feet in a large bucket type thing. The entire time thats happening your legs are pressed against the edge of the bucket and its pretty uncomfortable.My attendant was not good at all; his hands were rough and a nail or something kept scratching me. The worst though is that he was coughing a phlemgy cough and sucking what I assume was snot up through his nose, like he needed to blow it. This lasted the entirety of the service. I could actually feel the cough on my feet once I changed to the chair.The arm and hand massage included no lotion, oil or lubricant. Thank goodness it lasted only two minutes on each arm...You then move to the massage chair. Comfortable enough but instead of springing for a sheet or small blanket they cover you with a towel, two small towels on the leg that isnt being massaged.The massage was not good and he kept doing the same things though I did ask for him to please rub my heels and calves. Unfortunately he did not understand, apparently so that didnt happen .Bottom line is maybe choose another place, or take your chances and see how it goes for you.

While getting our massage, I received a call and answered. I didnt notice but the masseuse was working on another person and he quickly turned and pointed his finger with an ugly scowl expression at my girlfriend who was on the table beside me. I was still on my phone, so I did not see him do this to her. Why he did this to her I have no idea. Maybe because I m 6-5 tall and weigh 290 lbs and he quickly realized he shouldnt do that to me because there definitely would have been consequences. Instead, my girlfriend left very upset and let me know about after we left. I wanted to go back so she could release her anger on him, but she asked that I write this review instead. Unfortunately, I didnt get his name.

I can’t disagree with all the reviewers here. I got a back pain, because my husband always cuddling me when sleeping. Then I got wrong position. It took me a days to figured this out because I did massage (deep tissue) but doesn’t work, then I try this reflexology, and it works good. The service was good with Russel, he will make sure if it’s too hard for you or not. 1 hour was really enough to me. And I recommend this place.

They have advertised 33.00 for 50 minute foot massage so I drive 25 miles to have massage. I get there and they say no it is 49. I show them advertisement and they NOT honor. I call owner he say he don’t care and go ahead and report me so I write this add and report to Better Business Bureau for bait and switch advertising. I even say honor 33 dollar one time and I come back and pay full and he refuse. Owner sucks to work with. Very inflexibleI own 2 businesses, if I falsely advertise I MUST, BY LAW honor what is in black and white. Lost what would be a weekly client

Wow. Great massage, good prices. All service is done in one large room. Overall a good experience, would recommend.

Came here for the first time on Saturday. Then came back for more Monday. The foot massages are incredible. Highly recommend.Reservations/calling ahead is recommended. When you enter the room it is a communal room where others are getting massages. For the foot massage youll sit on an ottoman with your back facing the center of the room and youre front facing a recliner youll use shortly. While your feet soak in warm water the therapist will give you 10- or 15-minute neck and back massage. Then youll transfer to the recliner face up. Then the foot massage starts and lasts the remaining 45 to 50 minutes. You wont be disappointed.

I was discriminated against by the young gentleman at the front desk just after 12 noon on the 4th of October. The man was playing on his personal cell phone and was not answering the business phone to take bookings so I had to drive to the location to ask for a booking. There were none available until later in the day which would have been great to find out over the phone. When I tried to book a later appointment in person the young man kept giving me an available time and then saying they were fully booked. He tried desperately to stop me from booking an appointment. It was very strange and quite frustrating. He was angry with me for asking if they wouldn’t be answering the phone anymore… “I was busy” he said. I had left a message, called multiple times and had not received a call back by the time I walked in to him playing on his cell phone while leaning back in his chair. It’s a shame. His type of attitude can destroy a business. From my side it was upsetting to be treated so badly for no reason.

Hands down the best massage I have EVER had in my 54 years of life. It was such a relaxing environment and very professional. Highly recommend the deep tissue.

I was thrilled at the idea of this place. We dont have anything like it on the east coast. It was kind of awkward that everyone is in a big room, there is 0 privacy. The service was ok. Nothing grand. No hot stones, aromatherapy, nice touches Im accustomed to just were not there. So I gave a 5 $ tip and was thrown for a loop when the front desk guy was vocally upset. Overall rude. Well I travel all over and would not recommend this place

Do not expect a lavish experience here. This is about getting a relitively cheap massage. The massages are done very well, and your feet will thank you. I can not reivew the back massage as I never get them at this location. The foot, head, and arm massages are great. They use a good amount of pressure and you can communicate how much you want. A few things to note: you share the space with multiple people getting massages, there are no private rooms, you do not get undressed for the massages, and you sit in chairs for most of them (they do have lying down couches too). The service is professional, but you need to tip. They do have the suggested tip for the types of massage that you select at the front. They prefer cash but do take credit. You can make appointments, and they tend to be very flexible in getting you in.

My husband and I just visited Gen Foot Spa for the first time tonight and absolutely loved it. My husband got the 1 hour foot & back massage and I just got the 1 hour foot massage and we both really loved our treatments. We cant wait to go back!

Had been using this place for about a year and was happy but its definitely gone down hill. It has gotten SO loud in there, each time they run water you get startled by the banging pipes. The staff is talking to each other non-stop and Im pretty sure their air-conditioning is the loudest model available from the 1980s.... The last few people that I had obviously dont want to be there and dont care, they hardly rub your foot and they just rub one area of the foot and that is it.... Very uncomfortable to say the least. Finally, if they are going to keep raising prices then they should make some changes that make the experience more enjoyable. Not going to go back - will find a new spot.

This place is money hungry only! Me and my husband went here today, and we paid 108 dollars for the service! Then gave 5 dollars tip for each person! They were not happy and forced us to pay 10 dollars for each person! TIPPING is optional!!! This place is greedy and all they care about is money! Dont go there, i suggest you go anywhere else! We are definitely not coming back! Those workers need good pay, customers arent required to pay their salary! Very very very very bad place! Seriously awful service

Excellent foot massage from John! Very impressed with this spa in comparison to other Asian Foot Massage places I’ve been to. Gen Spa was very clean; the temperature, lighting and music were perfect. My therapist’s pressure was great and he was very friendly. I would suggest to wear a tank top for ladies and shorts or pants that can be rolled up past your knee. At the beginning, when your feet are soaking in warm water, you are given a nice neck and should massage that includes the arms. Gordon at the front desk was also very nice and welcoming. I will definitely be back soon!

Best massage I’ve gotten, especially at the amazing price. I went with 4 people and we all enjoyed our massages. The front desk was very professional and warm. You can tell they were operating with integrity and are proud of their services. Thank you for the massages!

This place is the best. My fiancé and I come regularly and are satisfied every single time! KK is our favorite, he really knows what hes doing! We have both agreed that hes given the best massage weve ever had multiple times. And the pricing is GREAT! You cant beat it!

Love this place so much! I go here weekly. Can’t beat the price! I am immunocompromised but going here weekly really impacts my health positively so was super bummed when they had to close due to Covid restrictions on spas this summer but the moment they were open again they use face masks and face shields, the temp check and you’re socially distanced on the actual chair/bed. I feel completely safe in Gen Foot Spa and completely rejuvenated when leaving! If you manage to make it through without falling asleep it’s really cool to focus on the reflexology cause you can feel the subtle changes all over your body in real time

I recommend a 30-minute massage. Its more like a chiropractic adjustment. See Joe.

Very Unprofessional and RUDE!!! I was running late and spoke to them on the phone asking if they could still fit me in due to traffic. I was told yes and it wasn’t a problem. When I got there they expected me to pay full price and were only giving me 30 minutes. When I asked why I wasn’t told this on the phone the (owner, I presume) very rudely replies “we don’t have to tell you”. I support small businesses but NOT when you are rude and try to gouge me on money. Will never go here again!!!!!

Id like to give this place zero stars to keep it a secret! Its great and relaxing. The massages can be deep which really helps get the knots out. Reasonable price too. Bring cash for the tip though.

The atmosphere here is so calming, the staff is very helpful & the price is reasonable! They have daily specials and discounts for paying cash. I always appreciate the opportunity for a discount ;) and I always leave here relaxed

I love Alice and Seven who run the weekend desk...gracious, well run. The place is clean and the massage is the best I’ve had outside of China. Each operator is as good as the next..well trained. It is now my habit every Weekend!

Best Massage! I had Lee. He really worked on my back (shoulder blades)! I came in a mess. It was a good hurt when he was working on me. He hit all the spots. He kept asking if I was ok. I wanted to ask him if he was ok!!! I’ve never had a massage like this. And I’ve had a lot! Excellent! I’ve been going to a chiropractor to help this issue. Lee got me feeling so much better. Better than the chiropractor & acupunture! THANK YOU LEE!

Great foot massage! While we were there was a customer that was being loud and rude, everyone was very Apologetic! Just enjoy and be mindful your not the only one in the room! Nice and clean too

Great foot massage for a great price. $33 for 50 minutes of foot massage with 10 minutes of upper body. Very relaxing, lots of clean towels used. I will definitely be back.

Clean space, and strong masseurs. Didnt see any private rooms for full body massages, but they had comfortable chairs for the foot massages.

Best place for relaxation after a long day. Extremely professional. Reasonably priced. Your not alone in the room, but after the neck and back appetizer, the foot message will put you in a space all your own.

I was completely absent-minded during the foot massage, and ended up leaving a tip of 6 yuan. To be honest, I didn’t even want to give it! As a result, the technician directly said that it would cost at least 10 yuan, and also said that it was fucking embarrassing. It was the first time I saw such a business and the experience was extremely bad! ! ! ! Effort is directly proportional to labor! ! !
