Massage Envy

Ive been a member at ME for about 15 years and Ive never had a bad experience. For the last few years Ive been going to Billy who has moved to the Costa Mesa location and I gladly followed him. When you find a good massage therapist, you stick with them. I had a 90 minute session yesterday and Ive been in a zen state since then! Have gifted sisters and friends massages and they are always ecstatic. The best part of my self care routine is massages.

Samantha was awesome. I let her know that my neck was the main issue. She did all the normal massage routine, then focused on my neck, which really helped.

Samantha was amazing! She listened to my issues before starting and spent extra time where needed. She gave me one of the best massage I’ve ever had. I highly recommend her.

I had a great experience! I have a membership in North Carolina and scheduled an appointment while visiting family here in Orange County. The receptionist that booked my appointment was very courteous and helpful and my therapist Hoang did an amazing job!

Fantastic and professional service from the staff at the reception to the message session with the therapist. The session is really relaxing and makes me feel like a new person when I leave. Everyone is very polite and willing to help. Thank you

Had a 1 hour massage with Calvin. Came in for neck/back/legs. He was thorough with his treatment plan, found the spots that needed a little extra work, and pressure was perfect. His neck work is 🔥!!! Thank you.

Tatiana is the best! I’ve been struggling with my skin for years and have seen so many estheticians, she is by far the most caring and knowledgeable I’ve ever had. I highly recommend Tatiana and so happy I found her.

I went in to Massage Envy to get a facial and it has been one of my favorite experiences. The staff in the front was very sweet and welcoming! I had my facial done by Tatiana and she did a great job!

Great massage! Really worked on areas that I had felt aches and pains for a number of weeks. I came in feeling sore and needing relief from a physical job where I was starting to feel injury from repetitive lifting. Ron did an amazing job. I hydrated when I came home and fell asleep early. When I woke up the next morning, all those aches and pains were completely gone. Ron was able to permanently remove all that tension and my body felt realigned and calm like it hasn’t felt in months. I am so grateful and happy to have this peace back in my body instead of the stress that was there before.

Saied was amazing!!! I have NEVER fallen asleep in a session & he allowed me to distress and truly enjoy my birthday massage! Totally recommend him! Coming back to him for sure!

0/5 stars. Do not recommend. Had a terrible, uncomfortable massage. I tried to discuss with the manager directly but Amy was unapologetic, rude and said I should gotten up mid service (who would get up half naked?). Said the best she could do for me was upgrade me 30 minutes if I purchased another massage…. Would not recommend. Definitely recommend hand and stone over massage envy.UPDATE: Never received a call from the owner Carol as I requested. The manager Amy called me back based on my survey review to tell me she would like to reiterate all she can do for me is the 30 minute upgrade LOL

Calvin was excellent! He was knowledgeable about my issues and went above and beyond to try to fix my pain and shared valuable information with me so I could work on it more at home. Would definitely recommend his massage services!

I truly am extremely pleased with Abdon!! Hes very professional, respectful and simply an awesome masseuse with that special gift of applying the appropriate pressure needed to help one feel so much better!!! I have several Massage Envy locations near me ---one being half a mile away, but I drive all the way from Whittier to Costa Mesa because of my wonderful masseuse, Abdon!!! Hes simply ONE OF THEE BEST!!!!

This was my first experience at Message Envy. Roeun was my therapist and Raquel is the first face you see in the lobby. Both women are most professional. Raquel is informative and pleasant. Roeun is an excellent massage therapist. I prefer deep massage and she was able to meet that need with expertise. Due to my experience I became a member.

Miriam was incredible. She listened to my needs and made adjustments to pressure throughout the massage as needed.

Sayed provided a very beneficial assisted stretch therapy and Tatiana made my skin feel brand new again! Kudos to both of these professionals.

Tatianna was such a sweet esthetician! She is very passionate about what she does and takes the time to answer any questions and educate her clients. I really enjoyed my microderm with her and look forward to coming again!

Ken at Massage Envy is exceptional! His technique is top-notch, and he truly listens to your bodys needs, providing incredible results you wouldnt expect. Highly recommend!

Billy is an excellent masseuse. He is very respectful and communicative. Best massage I’ve had in a very long time.

I received a gift card from a friend and had the confirmation number. However, I didnt receive an email with the actual gift card number. When I went at costa mesa CA branch, they told me they couldnt help. They acknowledged that I paid $75 for the card but said it was not possible to redeem it. The customer service representative was mean and intolerable. I will never go there again. I went there to relax, but they caused me a lot of stress.

Roen was very pleasant and gave me a complete head to toe massage that left me feeling like mush. Her pressure was effective without pain.

Was coming to get one final massage and THEN cancel my membership... But I was lucky enough to get Ken.... My massage experience is forever changed-- thank you and I have schedule the next three sessions.

Miriam did a phenomenal job yesterday during my 60 minute massage. She was professional, intuitive, and kind. She also took my feedback into consideration and made me feel so much better - physically and mentally.

I highly recommend Miriam. She completely focused on all of my target areas and gave me the best massage of my life. I have a very tense back and I have been searching for someone with this kind of technique for so long. She consistently assessed the pressure and made sure I was comfortable. I’ll be going far more often now, and I won’t let my credits rack up after finding the perfect therapist!

Abdon was wonderful and extremely professional. He asked questions to target correct areas and checked in several time during massage to make sure pressure was correct.

Saied was fantastic! I asked him to focus on a hamstring that I had tweaked surfing earlier in the day and that he did!! He focused on the hamstring as well as all areas around it to loosen the stiffness and how my body was already starting to compensate for the injury! Awesome job and highly professional!! Great experience at this location and Abdom, my therapist was so good. He really understands anatomy and was able to help with specific discomforts.

He did such an amazing job. Truly listen to my aches and pains and did a ton of work to release a lot of pain.

Ken was great! Asked for deep tissue and got what I asked. For the first time in my life I was able to say “you can go a little lighter on that spot” which has never happened. He is the reason I signed for a membership.

I brought my daughter for her first real massage, and it was a great experience from the front desk to Cicely our therapist. The quiet room was calm and well stocked with water and magazines. The massage room was quiet with soothing music, and the massage was so relaxing. Cicely made sure that the pressure was just right at all times. We will definitely be back.

I just had a fabulous facial by Tatiana. Omg she is just amazing. Great hands, fun and very sweet girl. She relaxes you and treats your face with such care. She is absolutely the very best. Highly highly recommend. Thank you again Tatiana for a great facial.

I was gifted this massage from my daughter. It was to be a 90 min hot stone massage.When I arrived, I was greeted and showed to the back waiting room. The facility overall seemed clean and maintained.My therapist met me and spent a couple of minutes talking to me. She was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. The massage was good but only ended up lasting 63 minutes. She never massaged the front of my legs or arms after I had turned over.When checking out I was told that I had to pay a $30 transfer fee and another $35 for an upgraded massage. On top of the $35 tip, I left, my free massage cost $100. I think they should have told me in advance of these fees, not spring them on you when you are leaving. Bad business practice.

Loved my facial with Janet. She listened to me and understood exactly what I wanted. She also gave great advice on the everyday care of my skin as well as customizing my facial to my skins needs. I left feeling cleansed, refreshed and renewed.

Tatiana was great! She gave me a facial that truly made a difference. I see it and I’m grateful. Two very sweet girls greeted me when I arrived along with Tatiana, and they all took great care of me. I wish I could remember their names but they all made me feel comfortable and well taken care of. I will definitely be back!

Ken is so skilled at therapeutic massage! He not only gives relief from my pain, he educates me and has a vast amount of knowledge, which I respect and appreciate so much! He is awesome!

The front desk staff are very welcoming and professional. Yolanda is one of the best therapists I’ve had in the 3 cities I’ve had an ME membership across the country. She is attentive, kind, obviously knowledgeable - a seasoned therapist in which I have complete confidence. Most of all I appreciate the feeling of stress releasing from my body each time I an under her care. I leave my session deeply grateful and looking forward to the next.

I have been to numerous Massage envy’s across the US as I travel a lot. Tatianna is by far the best when giving facials! She is so caring and takes a lot of pride in what she does.

Roeun was awesome. I was looking forward to a relaxing massage. I usually get a firm one that targets my painful areas, this time I am wanted a more relaxing massage. I was so relaxed I even started to fall asleep. Rouen did a great massage. Very professional and friendly. I would recommend her.

Abdon is amazing! He is the best therapist I’ve had in my 17 years as a member.

The neck massage was too strong. Requested softer pressure but it was still too strong. Was sore the next day.

Maria is very experienced and knows a lot of modalities. She isfabulous she understands exactly what you need and works those areas. I would recommend her anytime all the time.

Worse massage ever in my entire life. The whole experience was awful. I wish I did not waste my membership massage for this. I arrived early /on time… they didn’t take me in until 5-10 mins after 7… and they had me close out before the massage happened so I tipped prior. The massage technician was having stomach issues… so had to step out of the room 2-3 times. So time was taken away from my massage on multiple levels… the massage itself was awful. It felt like someone who was in training or did not have any training at all to be a masseuse.The only good thing about the whole experience was meeting a dog at the front desk.

SAMANTHA WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND KNEW THE PRESSURE POINTS! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

The therapist was great, but that location has gotten a little run down. The rooms and sheets smelled musty and everything looked a bit dirty (carpets, walls, water dispenser, etc.). Especially the bathrooms, there’s like black grime going a foot up the inside of the bathroom doors and there was pee in front of the toilet. This level of cleaning should not be the staff’s responsibility. They should keep things tidy, but this was not the issue. The manager/owner needs to have a cleaning company come in to give it a deep clean. And if the laundry is done offsite, they need to talk to their service to tell them they smelled mildewy. If it’s done onsite, they need to clean the machines or get them serviced, because they’re not working well enough to get the sheets fresh.When I first signed up at this location it was really nice and actually felt like a spa. Not anymore.

Lauree was a skilled massage therapist working on my stubborn sciatic problem. She focused on the area of pain without agitating it further, which was no easy task. As a bonus, shes personable and puts you at ease.

Meagen listens carefully to what areas need attention before and during the session and checks regularly to ensure the desired pressure is applied. I always leave feeling better.

Cicely was amazing! She made sure to ask if the pressure was comfortable and the massage was very customized to what I needed worked on. Will definitely be back for her!

Tahana gave me a very good Facial and I highly recommend her she explains everything.

Karly provide the absolute best massage I have ever received from Massage Envy. She listen to me when discussing the pressure and areas that were sore and needed to most attention. She then provided a very relaxing massage.

They have cancelled multiple times recently, and I ended up going to the edinger site. While there, I got more information about my account and they were very helpful with any questions I had. I also double checked to see the balance left on my account. When I went back to Costa Mesa, I found out that two of my services went missing, that they had no record of them, and that I lost what Ive already paid for. When I tried to ask, I got a sorry, a well try to look into it, but no guarantee that I would have them returned. Im not sure if they charged me when they cancelled services, or if their system was off when I called in, but two services is a lot to lose after raising their prices. Hope theyll fix this, but after calling I dont think they will.Update edit: they refused to correct their mistake and did not provide any evidence on why they believe they did not lose what I paid for. Dont go here, not worth it

I just want to start this whole post off by saying I have never left a negative review on a business. I feel that most times I have a bad experience it is simply me and my own issues. I try to give the benefit of the doubt to people and I try to be as kind to others as I possibly can. I feel as though what I give to others is what I will receive back. I feel horrible posting this but I feel that I would want to be warned about this prior to my membership.I am so upset with the customer service at Massage Envy Costa Mesa. Victor is the only reason I still hold a membership at this location AND the only reason I gave this location 2 stars (although, he really deserves 5).I called on Wednesday around 2:00 for my appointment to let them know I had an emergency and could not make the 8:30 pm and would like to reschedule, the person on the other line said Okay, not a problem, when would you like to reschedule? and I chose to switch my appointment to Friday at 8:30. YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED TO ME AT 8:30 ON WEDNESDAY.......The DAY and TIME of my previous appointment, they decided to call me and let me know that I owed them for the services and that they have a 24 hour cancellation notice NO ONE told me that when I had first called, and on top of it all they decided to call me AT THE TIME OF MY APPOINTMENT to tell me that they would have to charge me for rescheduling. IM SORRY but that is honestly not my bad. I would have found ANY way to get out of paying that fee. I was given NO CHANCE to make it there on time to stop the fee from happening either! The girl on the line letting me know the fee was going to be applied had nothing to do with the previous mistake but I expressed my concerns and she simply said Im sorry but we are still going to charge you.I am in no way someone who yells at staff or treats people with disrespect but this is just an outright disgrace to all Massage Envy locations. I would like to warn people prior to signing any sort of membership with them. LOOK ELSEWHERE, there are so many options that dont force you into contracts for monthly memberships.If YOUR staff makes the mistake of not telling/reminding a client about a cancellation fee then ITS ON YOU AND YOUR BUSINESS.

I followed the best massage therapist Ive ever had to this location. If she wasnt here, Id be gone. The level of rudeness and unprofessionalism in the front office staff is unbelievable. On my front visit, the sole receptionist went out of her way to avoid eye contact as she talked on the phone. Im not unreasonable; a glance and a nod would have been great. As it was, my disabled self balanced on my cane until she at last finished. As I walked back for my massage, I told her that some kind of acknowledgement of waiting clients was good customer service. She said, Oh thats alright, without looking at me, forgiving me. I had to specify that I wasnt happy with HER actions and I wasnt apologizing. She looked shocked.While Ive had some interactions with competent people, the majority have been breath-takingly rude, particularly the women. I received a reminder call today which prompted this review. I didnt even get to say hello because the caller was deep in a conversation about something runny. When I said, You should know I can hear you, she launched into the spiel with no apologies and no embarrassment. Ive had only one completed appointment here and I already hate the place. I really love my therapist (5+ stars) so I hope management gets its act together or half the massage time will be working out the stress of dealing with the front office. I better pay before the massage because paying after will undo all the good.

Im a member in South Orange County and tried this location during lunch one day and was happily surprised. Daniel (massage therapist) is amazing! He listens to your requests and your body and gives an amazing massage that is both relaxing and therapeutic. The front desk people were professional as well. Everyone walking out of there looked like they had never been more relaxed.

Scheduled a massage for my wifes birthday, extremely horrible idea. I Scheduled a hour massage and she ended up with a 45 minute massage , the girl Maria asked what areas she wanted done and she never did any if the areas that she wanted. She didnt bother doing her lower back, her shoulders and her legs. Whats the point of asking and marking down the areas that you want done if they arent going to do them? Total waste of money. Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

I dont normally write reviews, if I do, it is either because it is something so good that people should know about or something so bad that also people should be careful with.Unfortunately this time, it is for the second reason; I had a terrible experience with the Massage Envy Spa of Costa Mesa management. I felt mistreated and ignored by the manager Shania (sorry, it may be misspelled).I had one last service to use (already paid) after I cancelled my membership. My therapist did not show up for my appointment, after waiting over 20 minutes, I was told about it (by the way I had to leave 30 minutes earlier from work). The manager did apologize and offered to reschedule my appointment regardless of my availability before the deadline to use my last service. The day of the rescheduled appointment I received a call to mention that I had to reschedule again because of the same issue (at least this time I wasn’t told while I was there). Here is where things get bad. At that time, it is the first time I hear I have to pay $100 to reschedule this appointment because the deadline to use my appointment passed? I explained that I missed the deadline because of the Spa staff last minute unavailability. It wasn’t my fault I missed it twice…. It didn’t matter to them, I only had two options, pay the $100 to use that service or reinstate my membership (pay $49)….. How can this be right?I would understand this approach if it was my fault to miss that deadline, but it wasn’t…. I wouldn’t be writing this if the manager was more sensitive and acknowledge this was a different situation and offer either a partial or full reimbursement of my last payment or even to reschedule this without any extra fees. No no no, all I got was this is our policy; we can’t do this or that….. I wonder what is the policy about customer service and client satisfaction to even consider membership with them again….Really bad attitude, bad for the customers and their business…If anyone is considering them, please be careful with their cancellation policies and unused services… I know understand why they were sued….

Hey Costa Mesa! I have been waiting for a response from your store for 4 days. Went in Thursday to cancel my contract after 6 years. Megan didnt have the authority to cancel it but assured me Id get the cancellation paperwork right away...nothing next day called and manager at lunch never returned my call TIA?IVY?. Called back gone for the day! Next day called and no managers for the weekend but sorry for the inconvenience ....I will let them no now and someone will call you! WHAT POOR MANAGEMENT! What if I had a personal emergency. Even the write me on the personal portal doesnt work!! WHAT A RUN AROUND ! Can someone step up and call me already...Karen Chavez

Watch out they overcharged me and would not refund a woman her money back for a massage she was clearly not happy with. I booked a one hour massage and the receptionist charged me for 90 minutes. when i corrected her she stared at me with a blank look on her face and i asked her was i supposed to watch the time? Still blank look, open mouth stared at me then when i asked to talk to her supervisor, then she paid attention.Would not go there again they are too busy worrying about selling memberships than your experience and well being.WILL NOT RETURN,VERY COLD.
