Strolling Denton on a work field trip and stumbled on this time machine and landed in the 80s. Great drinks...old fashioned was beyond amazing! Cheers to cocktails!

This place is so awesome! The ambiance is everything. I love listening to records! Great spot for a date or to even go work on your laptop.

So I am still trying to decide what I think about Vinyl Lounge and it may take another visit to know where I stand. We stopped in here early on a Saturday night and it did not feel like they had their full groove on yet. The decor, seating and ambiance is absolutely great, and as someone who still has a vinyl collection in their closet, I enjoyed the music and seeing it played old school. The music selection when we were there was pretty chill and was not necessarily songs I knew, but I could pick the artist. It is always great to expand your music knowledge this way.It seemed like they were understaffed when we were there with only the DJ and one bartender on shift at the time. We ordered two drinks and are split 50/50 with them. The monthly special of a peanut butter thin mint was amazing and I could have drank those all night - $10. We also ordered the Ringo - $12, which really did not taste that great and as you got to the bottom of the drink you got a whole collection of blackberry seeds with your drink. We definitely felt that this one could have been executed better. I also wonder how long the bartender had been there because he had to reference the recipe deck to make the Ringo, making me wonder if there was something that could have been missed in making it.I want to come back and visit again someday, I want to see a place like this be successful and judging by other reviews it sounds like we may have just caught it on an off night.

My favorite spot in Denton to hang out. My buddies behind the bar have put their whole heart into this spot and it shows. The vibes are immaculate, the themed music nights are super fun (shout out Graveyard Shift and Denton Dance Directive), drinks are tasty and fairly priced, and most important of all to me, I feel SAFE here.Love this spot so much, will forever recommend it to anyone who ends up in Denton for a spell.(Not sure what the food is for cause they dont serve it in house, only alcohol. You can bring food from elsewhere to the bar though, just ask the bartenders)

On my first and second visit to your establishment, I was extremely impressed; the music and customer service was awesome. The atmosphere was amazing My third visit 03/23/2024 Saturday night, was completely opposite; the atmosphere was hostile and uninviting, the DJ rude and extremely disrespectful, he refused to play any of the music request my family and I wanted to hear. The bartenders werent much better. Thank you for never allowing me to forget that African Americans have won the fight, but not the war on racism. You, remember this: We will never stop trying... ✋️

Be warned! This place is very homophobic even though its list on a google search stating otherwise. Obnoxious waiter, couldnt remember his name if I tried, laughed like a madman out of a bad 50s era D list horror film. So I dont know why they are called gay friendly! Seriously it was like being in a night-terror where you could get this weirdos laugh out of my head!

Vinyl Lounge is the coolest Bar in Denton!! Best drinks on the square (get the Beyoncé Lemonade!!~ blueberry vodka and lemonade) They have the most amazing music and even take a song request!! Big seating areas so you can bring all your friends.

Nice place for groups to hang! Great 80’s music- the number one question I got was- is there dancing? There was not the night i was there- and no obvious dance floor- but there is a DJ and plenty of room- if you started dancing i feel no one would mind! Bring your party! Great drinks, and friendly service! Recommend!

Witnessed bartender and manager assaulting a female customer and then put her in a headlock and dragged her from the bar. Horrible thing to see as a bystander and those people should’ve been arrested and not going back to serve more drinks. Pretty sure the guy manager was drunk while working.

Blessed to be invited to the soft opening. Very cool place, and definitely some groovy tunes. Such a cool place to chill and hang out.

Came in on a Sunday. There was nobody here except staff and what looked like their friends watching football and playing it over the speakers. Aside from the commentary, the bar was quiet and it felt like we had to have our conversation in hushed tones. If I wanted to watch the game I would go to a sports bar, not vinyl music lounge. Ordering a drink felt like an impostion on the bartender--like I was interrupting their fun. At half time they played music, but otherwise, it was a bit of an unwelcoming experience.

This place is amazing. I wish I knew about it sooner. If you live here or from out of town, you will enjoy this unique setting.

Drinks are always great, but first time coming on a weekend. Bartenders and staff were on top of keeping creeps from ruining our birthday night by kicking them out without us even asking. Felt extremely safe due to the staff’s quick response to inappropriate behavior. Would drink and dance here again.

We hosted our wedding at the Vinyl Lounge last night and it was incredible! The night exceeded all of our expectations thanks to the owners and all of the staff members. Tom and Kim were so helpful and thorough to make sure all of the details were taken care of. They went above and beyond to make our dreams come true. DJ Reverend Paul was on fire and had everyone dancing. We gave him some general themes for the music and he more than delivered!! He’s a sick DJ. All of the staff were SO friendly and helpful.We were able to work with Tom to come up with a ticket system for drinks and he helped us curate a menu that offered a variety of drinks (beer, wine, kombucha, cider, cold brew coffee). Our guests were able to open tabs for any cocktails or liquor not on the menu for the drink tickets.Another perk of having an event here is that the vibe and decor of the space is insanely cool so you can let the venue speak for itself decoration wise. We brought desserts and a few personal touches but did not need to decorate at all, it’s perfect as is.Our guests were blown away by how cool the bar is and everyone had a blast. If you want to have a wedding or event that stands out, book the Vinyl Lounge.Outside of having an unforgettable wedding, the Vinyl Lounge is the best dance spot in Denton and our favorite place to bring out of town friends on a night out. I have never seen someone at the Vinyl Lounge not having an amazing time.Thank you all SO MUCH for everything!

This lounge would be great but needs a little work. The music and furniture are vintage.

Stopped by this unique bar on way back to Oklahoma. Decor is 70s & awesome! DJ plays vinyl records which is a great surprise! GM is super welcoming and knowledgeable on drinks, he takes Pride in running a great bar! Stop by and grab a cocktail or 3, you wont be disappointed!

We met some friends here last Friday night and I have to say that this is my new favorite bar in Denton. I love the eclectic variety of music. The drinks were great and reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly and there was a great mix of customers, young and old.

I walked in with 3 others and the place was crowded and there seemed to be a possible birthday in one area. My husband and friend went to order. I told my husband to order a drink I had, had before that I liked. We all ordered mixed cocktails that were on the menu, but the bartender seemed to be very annoyed by this. I understand it takes longer to muddle things for a drink and it was crowded, but the majority of the drinks on the menu were cocktails. He was very rude. He first told my husband he couldnt make the drink I wanted so I just ask for something spicy with that spirit and he made an ugly face and ended up making the drink I originally ordered and said something like, I had to use the last of that(whatever) to make that, like I did something wrong. I dont understand being rude and annoyed at customers for ordering cocktails at a cocktail bar. Pictured is the bartender who, in my opinion, was extremely rude.

My favorite bar in Denton!! Everyone is so kind and fun. Interior is super cute. Bartenders are always nice: Dalton is awesome! The Beyoncé is my favorite drink there by far. Great place to chill and see an interesting mix of college kids and boomers getting down to 80’s disco on a Friday night.

This place has an amazing vibe!!! I was there last night and had an absolute blast every one is so friendly. A live Dj he just didn’t hip-hop or blast some playlist he read the room a kept the vibe going. Met the owners son at the door super chill. Drinks were well made and made quickly. Would come again!!!

If you like CLASSIC old school music and want to hang out with a diverse group of people; THIS IS THE SPOT!!!! EVERY DJ is an AMAZING artist! And the bartender Joshua (or johnathan can’t remember) is the friendliest person ever!!! Love love love this place!!!

Cool spot but the bar situation is a nuisance. Only 2 bartenders, both visible unhappy. They also make people line up instead of fan across the bar, which makes the whole place jammed with people standing in line for a drink. Great music and dancing though.

I’ve been there about three times now, first time was great, DJ was awesome and let me play a lot of songs when I went up there to ask. but the last two I’ve been there, a DJ told me that I’ve been requesting to meaning songs and trust me i only requested 3 to 4 songs and the last time I went up there she told me I’m not playing anymore requests but there a tip jar right there…. At this point I had to find some money to tip this girl that shouldn’t be asking for a tip and she was very rude about it too. I went there again for my second night in a row just to see if maybe the next DJ would be someone different and yes he was but I went up to him to make a request but he said he wasn’t taking any requests because it was his birthday… at this point I was just like wow. Second night here in a row, just wanted to lessoning to some good music of my groups choice but no I couldn’t. I needed money or I could lesson to anything because it was the DJs birthday. Other than all that, the bar tinder was great and very nice, but I love music and what they were playing at the time was nothing I wanted to stay around fore.. I’ve close out my tab two nights in a row just getting a couple of drinks because I wanted to just vibe with some music me and my friends wanted to lesson too…

First time Ive been here and I loved it! Fantastic decor and the music was fantastic! Bartenders Johnathan and Gideon made us feel welcome and were very attentive. Cant wait to visit again soon!

Do NOT go here UNLESS you want to have a GREAT time. Excellent bar service and talented djs spinning classic dance music. If I have any request of managementl it would be to turn volume down just a bit so people dont have to scream to be heard.

This place has some of the best vibes in denton. It tends to have less of the college crowd but not always, and our resident DJ Johnny DJs here on Sundays (unless their day changed)And the bloody Mary is on POINT

One of the best bars in denton! the interior is very beautiful and retro. they have a solid drink menu that’s not too pricey and really great music. went on a saturday night and got to dance with some friends. looking forward to going again!

Perhaps the most interesting place in Denton. I have been a few times and Im always pleasantly surprised every time. There is always something fun and exciting happening here, the crowd is a little older but that means that there arent the typical young rowdy less desirable crowd roaming around. I like the ambiance and I like the decor, drinks are made very well. Ill continue to frequent Vinyl when I find myself in Denton.

Atmosphere was absolutely amazing. The decor and DJ were spectacular the only issue was the bartender. He was extremely rude to me when I was just trying to be polite and wait my turn.

Was recommended this place during my staycation in Denton by both a friend and TikTok as THE SPOT to get my dance on. Did not disappoint! Amazing tunes, drinks, and people. I cant wait to come back and dance my butt off again!

Alot of all ages, cool pieces. DJ actually spins Vinyl Records. 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s music variety. Fun!! No food, but many options within a block.

Love everything about this place! Great atmosphere and so much fun! But extremely disappointed in the bartender, he was very rude and very poor customer service which almost ruined the experience.
