Guys trip to Flagstaff for the weekend. We stopped in the pub for lunch on the way home to Phoenix. The place was recommended by a friend. Food was excellent. Service was great. Madison was our server (Sat June 8th, lunchtime). Quick service, attentive to our needs for refills, great personality, and she added to a positive experience. Food was prepared quickly, accurate and tasted great. We ordered 4 dishes between the 3 guys. Fish and chips, Prime Rib Sandwich with onion rings, Loaded Tater Tots, and an order of Irish Nachos. All food dishes tasted good and delivered to our table hot and in a timely manner. We stopped in for our visit on a Saturday at around lunchtime. The pub was about 3/4 full. Staff was doing a great job of meeting our needs. 10/10 experience.
Good wings. Good sliders. Good brew. Wait staff are friendly and helpful.Spacious dining area and sweet view of Route 66.The wings were not hot 🌶 at all, but very tasty no less. Sliders were served with a pickle spear if only two are ordered so it is best to order four and receive a side of fries.I will definitely be returning with my whole crew 🦜🏴☠️ Yar!!
FABULOUS!!! we were in town only a few nights and ate there twice. The shepherds pie was maybe the best Ive ever had. The Reubin was great. My husband said the fish and chips were great. Irish nachos were fantastic. The corn beef and cabbage was great! Oh, and the cauliflower wings were great also. The waitress was very attentive and great personality! Definitely a place we will go back to when in town!
The music was nice to listen too. I ordered the Collins Burger and it was amazing! Definitely worth the price! My waitress was super nice and got me everything I needed with a smile. Next time I am in Flagstaff, Collins will be my first stop:)
What a great place in so many aspects!! Stumbled upon here during a Route 66 self drive tour and could not have made a better choice.Located just off a main road of Flagstaff, its a substantial brick building on a corner with off-street parking and a number of entrances,The rear of the building has a tasteful street style mural. The inside has been renovated with an old school theme that works with high ceilings, windows and dark timber furniture and floor boards.Big bar and horseshoe dining tables.Well staffed and the kitchen produced fast, great tasting, fresh meals that were well presented. Will definitely return again.
Wow! Such a disappointment. I arrived at 1:30 to this bar. Just checked into hotel for work ! Ordered a beer and at 1:55 I ordered my second beer. Thinking I’m allowed 15 min after 2 to finish my beer but that’s not what happen. Door keeper shouted it’s 2 am. It’s time to go. My 3/4 of a beer was taken from me. My thoughts are why would a bar give a guest 22 oz of beer and expect them to drink it in 5 minutes. That’s absolutely ridiculous and irresponsible for a bar to do so! Wonder if this bar has had issues in the past because they clearly don’t understand safety
Second time coming here for a noonish breakfast, last time a year ago. Service was better this time around, casual vibes for sure. Lots of windows for a Irish themed pub a refreshing difference to the more traditional pub. It’s not worth dropping a star but their whiskey selection is catered to the college crowd with only 2 whiskeys you would consider non mainstream. The food here is incredible, winning any debate about a non 5 star review here.
Ashley T. took care of us and she was phenomenal. She was kind, helpful, and ensured we had a great experience. We ate there as a family and I was delightfully surprised by the quality of food. We had the fish and chips, shepherds pie, and the Irish salmon. All yummy and at a fair price.
We arrived in town and saw the bar, cosy and clean, it was a game night so you can only imagine how excited people were, food was warm, very delicious. I want to appreciate “Sam N” our server, super chill and a very nice girl, I changed my mind last minute and ordered something else and she handled me like a pro, thank you so much! That dessert was amazing, addictive! Would love to go back and definitely recommend it to tourists. Pictures are Collin’s famous bowl, Collin’s burger, Beignets.
Food was OK, I was hoping it would be a little better to offset the service. We were seated and then sat and waited and waited, 30 minutes and then we had to go find someone. They came and took our drink order, which was water and 1 iced tea. Didnt see them again for another 5 minutes. Then it took about 20 minutes for the food to come to the table. Once we got our food we couldnt talk to each other because they turned the volume up on the TV for the two guys sitting at the bar.
Prime location in downtown Flagstaff, Collins Irish Pub and Grill is a fine eatery that caters to your pallette. The menu is diverse and offers an array of choices from sides to main entrees. The atmosphere is cozy yet festive. The service was fast and efficient, dinner was served up with zero lag and no idle time waiting around.I ordered the Soup and Salad, Main entree with fries (Jalapeno Burger) and Vegetable medley. The food overall was excellent the soup was good, the salad was exceptional. The medley is quality and the Jalapeno burger I dont recommend however was extra filling and with fries was over the top. -Too much food really for one sitting....I thought about splurging and filling up on as much calories as possible before setting out for the Grand Canyon in the morning. All my needs were satisfied here at Collins Irish Pub and Grill. Plenty of restored energy to keep in reserves for that special hike.Overall fine dining experience recommend for dinner or lunch. Best location in Flagstaff.
Just had to walk out. Was told the food would take 25 minutes. 45 minutes later NOTHING. Waitress looked embarrassed of the kitchen. The kitchen definitely needs to get it together . Left enough cash on the table for the beer we ordered. Pretty disappointed
This place has a wide place, a lot of TV screens, and something closer to the sports bar, but the bar seemed too lacking to be called an Irish pub.The ingredients of the food were only ready-made, so I didnt make such a good impression such as sausage and source etc ,, The reason why there are only two bottles here is that all the drink glasses are plastic. How would you feel if you drank Jameson whiskey in a plastic cup? Its also at a place called Irish pub that pays money to drink.Theres a much better Irish pub around here, so go there.
The drinks were great! The vibe was good. The DJ that played tonight didn’t really know how to read the room at first. He played a lot of music that nobody wanted to dance to but after an hour of flops, he adjusted and the night got better. My main gripe is that this place advertises their jukebox EVERYWHERE so when the music was horrible, I paid money to improve the atmosphere and nothing I requested was played. When I asked for a refund or at least a free drink, I was denied ( very rudely)! There were so many other songs on the queue but I guess everyone just loses their money to this place’s greed. Not cool at all!!! If you’re not accepting requests, maybe don’t advertise that and let people waste their cash. Very sketchy!
It was just what we were looking for after driving in from Phoenix and waiting on our hotel room to be ready. The place was packed and they were highly under staffed/however our server Ashley T did an amazing job countering the situation. Professional with great urgency and could tell she really cared. I would go back.
Had dinner here and it was very good. Had some boneless wings and the patty melt with a couple beers. The bill was just over $40 which was pretty high especially since I was there during happy hour and the beer and wings were supposed to be on special. Food was good so I didn’t feel like asking about the discrepancy.
Although the drinks were really good. I ordered a chicken sandwich and I ended up taking it to go. We are out of town from Mesa. When I got to my hotel room.I cut my sandwich in half And the chicken was completely pink. I waited till the next day when they opened.I went into the restaurants, spoke to one of the servers. She took my info And said a manager would be reaching out to me as soon as he gets back from the bank. Its been three weeks now I havent heard from a manager. Ive called two Times as well And the manager never seems to be there. The sandwiches are quite pricey for me just to receive a raw one!
We had Bangers and mash and corned beef. By all, far, some of the best we have had. Great place, not too noisy. the environment was just right. Great place to eat.
Wow! We saw the 4 star review and werent excited about trying this restaurant. Food was AMAZING! We had corned beef and cabbage, Cobb salad (loaded with chicken, eggs, bacon, avocado blue cheese tomatoes, etc) and beignets. Everything was delicious. And the beignets provided an amazing end to a fabulous dinner. Our waitress, Ashley, was attentive and extremely helpful!
Waited 5 minutes to get seated (lots of open seats), waited 10 minutes for a server. Only had “Express” menu available and was advised it’ll be 40 minutes for your food. We left. Also funny they charge a 5% “processing” fee to keep their prices “low”.
My bf & I went in for a beer and for a Sunday, it wasn’t busy at all. It was nice and quiet and the service was great! Their menu looked fantastic and had lots of food options. Lots is space to sit both indoor and out!
Loved this place. Stopped in for lunch while touring historic downtown Flagstaff. Service was stellar and the Mac n cheese bites were the bomb. Delicious cheesy goodness. My husband ordered the pizza which is made with naan bread. Very good. I also ordered the grilled cheese sandwich with tomato basil bisque. The sandwich was good but the soup was a bit thick for my liking. Overall great experience.
Stopped for a drink because we were early for an event. The waitress took our order for a PBR, gin and tonice, and a soda pop... I handed her a 20 expecting her to make a motion of bringing change, but she disappeared for a long while brought back the drinks but nothing else. Terrible bar waitress!Neat bar.
Nice place with great service from the waitress and the chef, who actually brought my dish out himself to say that he put real love into that dish, a great extra touch. The place was excellent until after about 1.5 hr someone from the bar came and asked for my ID as I was drinking beer, I gladly gave him my Greek ID since I don’t carry my passport outside when travelling, and he told me that he’s going to need me to leave because they don’t accept a foreign ID.I told him that’s ridiculous as it’s a government issued ID accepted across the world and I’ve been travelling around the US for 2 weeks showing that same ID at bars with no issue, and his genius response was “oh yeah they accept it everywhere else, it’s just a Collins rule, because it’s an Irish pub”.Apologies for the low score Collins, but a general rule in business is you’re only as strong as your weakest link.Train the man to respond better or to ask a manager when he’s being challenged for his ridiculous response. What I would expect is for him to tell a manager about our dispute and for the manager to come give a better response, but no one else showed up.I’m sad to say this was the only place I visited in Flagstaff before continuing my trip, and it’s a shame it’ll be the only thing I remember from Flagstaff.
Pretty good food, nice beer selection, large portions, lots of TVs for watching sports, friendly staff, not much parking. Low carb selections are almost non-existent but I like their version of shepherds pie. Their prices are too high. I paid $8.50 for a pint of Guinness! Needless to say, I didnt order any more drinks. They could learn a lot from the keto menu at the Boxing Donkey in Roseville, CA.
First time in. The Portobello Melt was really good. It came with house fried pub chips basically potato chips which were hard and boring. My husband opted for the Southwestern Burger which he said was amazing. For $3 more he got their fries, very well seasoned and crispy. Also loved the Pear Cider. So refreshing. Our server, Austin, did a great job. Will definitely go back next time were in town.
This isnt an Irish Pub. Me: What Irish beers do you have? Bartender: Umm... we have Guinness! Cool, Ill take a local brew instead.Thought Id try the bangers and mash. Its a classic dish you cant mess up, right? Nope. Cheese sausage (Käsewurst) over a bed of plain sauerkraut with puree smooth mashed potatoes, burned gravy and sides of spicy mustard and sweet rolls. What?! Such a completely incoherent dish.Maybe the atmosphere will save it? Also, hard no. This is a college bar, through and through. TVs all over playing random garbage and games missed with high tops, tables and staff who were very vocal about how overworked they are.I had high hopes but, sadly, I wont be returning. I still dont know what qualifies this as an Irish Bar but, regardless, there are many better places to spend your time and money in Flag.
The food is great and this place has a good atmosphere. Our server was very friendly and the food came relatively quickly. Its also nice they dont play music so loud that you cant hear anything. Lots from the menu to choose from I highly recommend this place if your in our around Flagstaff wether if your with your family with kids or out with the boys.
Love the Guinness but not the plastic pint cup. Had the corned beef and cabbage served in a soup bowl with a lot of broth cabbage and not even a half slice of corned beef and only half of a small potato served with slice of marbled rye with no butter.Guess you never heard of Irish soda bread. All that for$18 Not my kind of meal for St Patricks Day.
I love Flagstaff, arrived a little early for a graduation ceremony and found this pub for a little pre-celebration. I rate Irish pubs on wether they have Guinness on tap or not...they do. They have 16 beers on tap, the pint Guinness is amazing. We also had the Irish nachos. They were really good also. Mika was our server and she was amazing...very attentive. I highly recommend this place
Great atmosphere and food for a sports bar. It is a mix of historic arts and crafts and our modern day desire to drink and watch tv! We got salads and they were fresh and delicious. A little skimpy on the chicken, but husband loved his mushroom burger. Games are pricey but they get bonus points for having skeeball in the mix.
We popped in to get a bite to eat in downtown Flagstaff, and perhaps in the light of day, it’s not as much fun as in the evenings, when it appeared there would be music. The service was mediocre and the food ordinary pub grub. Not bad, but in the light of day the interior was looking a bit jaded. There are other more interesting places to eat in Flagstaff.
Lets start with the good: they have pool, and arcade games. The service: ran by college kids. The food: if the chefs had a busy day they will revert to a smaller, sloppier menu. The food came out terrible, like what the hell is their tomato soup? Or their burger that gave me diarrhea? The cool part is the games. The in-town college kids that work here hate outsiders I guess? So if you dont live here DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE. It is a fun place to enjoy before the evening, good place to go with your fam bam. But be wary about 9pm. Thats when they start to play their own music and gym boys walk around the bar looking for someone out of suit. Not welcoming at all.
So Im between a 4 and 5 stars so rounding up. I had the rueben and it was good, no complaints at all. The atmosphere is not what I expect from most Irish pubs but you have to cater to the audience and they were busy so I cant fault them for an irish/sports bar mix. I would have liked a larger whiskey selection, but Ive also never been to Ireland so I dont know if whiskey is as big of a deal as our American worldview says.
Collins Irish Pub is a happin place inFLAGSTAFF!The food was good and the help was courteous and fast. They have a ton of things to eat and they are a full bar so you can order your favorite drinks and play pool on thier billiard tables. The patio seems to fill up first. Its a great play to grab a bite on the patio and people watch downtown Flagstaff. They have plenty of TVs to keep you in the know if you have money on a game.Check them out and let me know what you think.I heard from the locals that this place gets a little wild when the university is in session.
Everything you would expect from an irish bar, loved the food. We had Shepards pie and irish nachos. I do wish they served a bit more classic Irish dishes but this was pretty good regardless. Will definitely be back.
Went here with my family and we had the skinny waitress with black hair who was probably having a bad day. My Father asked for napkins and plates for our appetizer she rolled her eyes and said she would get it later after she took our orders as if it was the biggest inconvenience ever. Pretty disappointed spending $120 on a family outing that was not even enjoyable.
Fun little Irish Pub in Flag.Food is pub food. Some things were out of stock...like Bangers. Which is the whole reason I went in there. So that was a let down. The beignets were not good. Do not order the beignets. They were not beignets. At all. Just burnt little pieces of sadness.Ended up with a side of mash and demi. That was actually pretty awesome.Fact check: I ordered a blacksmith, which is Guinness and Smithwicks. The server said you mean a black and tan. No, I meant a blacksmith. She insisted black and tan, so I went with it. I received a blacksmith funny enough, and the kid that brought it even called it a black and tan.A Black and Tan is Guinness and Harp...or a light beer if you need to substitute. Also the term black and tan was just cancelled because of its roots in the oppression of the Irish people in the 1920s. You should change the name. Lol
Great food! I had the Avocado Toast with bacon. The serving was small for a meal, but it was delicious. My husband had the Reuben and it was outta this world!!!
The food was ridiculously good, portion sizes plentiful and Ashley provided pleasant and attentive service. Would happily return!
Great atmosphere, located downtown (limited parking so if you are outside walking distance, park further away and walk). Some cool games like air hockey, basketball, pool, skee ball. Good drink specials.Service was above average, the team seems to work well with each other and help out when it’s busy.Great food at an affordable price! My grilled chicken sandwich was amazing, and the fries were even better! The perfect amount of crispness.Would recommend for dinner or a night out
While waiting for an Amtrak train at the station across street from this restaurant, I spent $50 on dinner and drinks. Since my wait was multiple hours, I left and walked around the downtown for a bit. Upon returning, I was refused admission due to my travel bag. Explaining the train wait, a shrug and thats our policy was all I got. Sure wish Id invested in dinner else.where
Its alright. If you want a reasonably priced drink and to play an arcade game or something. Hit or miss on the weekends- it can be packed like a club or dead
Collins Pub provided excellent food, electric speed, and supreme service on the grumpiest night of the year; Christmas Night!I can personally recommend the Shepherds Pie /and/ the Fish and chips as Id eaten almost nothing the last two days. The exceptional point as to the speed of service is highlighted by how full the house was. When I received the Pie, I ordered the Fish and it was done and set before me to eat almost by the time Id finished the pie! This place is fantastic, open from 10am to 2am every day of the year if the other patrons I heard talking can be believed... wonderful place
Loved the service, had an amazing waitress Ashleigh super sweet and helped us with recs on the menu. Will be back!
The food was great, both the bangers and mash and the fish and chips.
Collins is as close as downtown Flagstaff gets to a dive bar and is a legit sports bar on Route 66. It gets rowdy here at night; there have been shootings (seriously) and the Flagstaff Police Department has to post officers here on peak evening hours to keep a lid on things. Its also an undergrad hangout for NAU students, who mostly avoid downtown Flagstaff otherwise. Good for large groups. Its safe and family friendly when the suns out... except maybe keep the small children away. Avoid on NAU Homecoming weekend / Tequila Sunrise. Ask how to earn the Rubber Duck.
Maybe one of the worst Guinness Ive had - but what can I expect this far from Ireland.Everything else was really great though, the food, the other drinks, the staff. The atmosphere is really nice too and the location couldnt be better.Overall, order anything BUT Guinness 😅
Had a horrible experience, we have been here multiple times. And last night was the final night we ever come here again. The kitchen was about to close, and the waitress was super rude. She aggressively told us, The Kitchen is closing, so if you want to order something, do it now! And real fast because I need to get your order in. Or else you wont get anything, so hurry and order within the next 1-2 min. We just wanted a small snack, but we mainly came for drinks. Even when we ordered drinks, before and after the kitchen closed, she was rude giving us our drinks and just talking to us. And when we tried to ask her for something, or wave her down. She completely ignored us and rolled her eyes. We had it, so we closed our tab and left and took our business down the street to Uptown . Everyone there was nice, hospitable, and our servers were excellent. We are never going to Collins again, and I suggest you do the same. Not worth it in every way. Also is disappointing, because we liked the food here. But after how we were treated. No more .
This restaurant lies to customers and distributes hidden rates to its customers. They charge unnecessary fees and taxes while hiding the physical receipts from their customers, relying on not to see what they are doing. They steal from their customers and rob their guest. This company is poorly ran and is equipped with some of the most disrespectful staff. This company lacks morals and respect for their customers.
Ashley was a great help, very nice and respectful. I will definitely be back just because of her but also the food and serving sizes where amazing!!
*Night life is meh* Place needs new DJs! I remember back in 2014-2015 the music was on point and it showed! Now they play stuff like Party in the USA when we trying to get our twerk on.. Flagstaff needs more options for their night life.
I have been to Collins dozens of times over the years and never had anything but good service and food. It does get busy so service time might take a bit, but the staff is hustling about and does well to remain attentive and friendly. Good selection of local beers and more, and everything on the menu we have tried has been flavorful and cooked well - from appetizers to the ribeye like we had last night.
This was an awesome spot in downtown. I was traveling through for the day and browsing the downtown area and decided to try this place out for a quick snack and a drink. They had a special for nachos and a beer for whatever price.. it was worth it. Hit the spot! Bartender was super nice and friendly she said mentioned some Thursday nights can get busy and be more if a party scene so might be worth stopping by another time if in the area! Had pool tables and plenty of screens. Looked like a really fun place!
I started off with a Kilt Lifter Irish ale, which pleased as much as the name might suggest. The Caesar salad was surprisingly good to the point where I could just about taste fresh egg in the dressing.I usually avoid ordering ribeye in restaurants because quite frankly nobody cooks one as well as I do unless Im in a well known steakhouse - however, when an Irish pub specifically offers a Prime Ribeye, then they must know what theyre doing, right? I mean, who would offer a prime cut anything if they didnt know what the hell they were doing? Needless to say, they did not disappoint! Medium rare and pink all the way through just like its supposed to be.The gravy on the mashed potatoes (like the rest of my meal) was rich and flavorful, yet not over-salted. The biscuit that came with was flaky and moist with a hint of sweetness. A nice complement the rest of the meal.If I lived in town, I would be here all of the time.
Excellent Service, Food, Atmosphere and everything in-between. While the items on their menu all look 👀 tasty. We had their Jalapeño burger and a Cobb salad; both had such a great flavor. The vegetables in the salad and on the burger were all fresh and delicious. The service was great, everyone was friendly and had great big smiles, happy to help. This was our second trip to Flagstaff and our second visit to this restaurant as well. We will be back again.
Other than having to pay for parking we really enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere here! My wife and I split the southwest burger and fries which was awesome. My son had the nachos and my daughter had the macaroni bites all very good. Plus as a bonus it was one of the only places in downtown flag that didnt bombard me with a colorful barrage of throw up when I walked in!
So me and my friends we went for unlimited mimosas, it took the waitress 15 min to get each round and after like 5 rounds she says u guys can only get like 2 more rounds and it was still 2pm. It did not make any sense and then she was so rude she would ask about how everything is going Like quite a few time to other tables around us but when she came to ours she had a annoyed face. This is why we did not tip you anything on a 300$ check Alexandria M. U did not deserve it. Moreover she tried over charging us for like 40 dollars but our friend which was less drunk saved us money. Never go here. The food is horrible and service is even worse the best thing they have is the dance floor at nights. Horrible experience never coming back again. Also try washing your dishes well we complained about the mimosa cups she gave us the other round in the same cup. She avoided us as much as we had to remind her about our drinks by going to the bar. We do understand the u guys were busy but her behavior was way worse to be considerate about anything.
Jena, the bartender, was attentive and wonderful to talk to. I probably stayed longer because she was awesome to hang out with.
Overall great experience. The staff was very friendly and professional - super attentive. Food was delicious, happy hour prices were great. Would definitely go back next time we are in town.
Great experience. Sam and Kadenz had such a positive attitude and made us feel very welcome!! The whole staff was awesome - and everything came out quick. Excellent place! Nice job Collin’s. Flagstaff is totally lacking in good service after being here for 22 years, but this place is a gem.
I am not sure how this is a four star rating. My husband and I went there last night and it was fantastic. We had the Reuben sandwich and it was the best one I have ever had. The place was beautiful, clean, and staff were wonderful. Thanks for a wonderful night. From Ohio!
Food was amazing!! The service was quick made me feel like I was there top priority. Heard about this place through some friends and decided to go check it out for myself. I was not disappointed! Will be going back many more times. The mac and cheese bite are a must haves!! But everything I ate was amazing. Great location too! Get to walk around downtown and then go eat!! Will be recommending to anyone.
This place is AMAZING! Everyone was really nice and the food was phenomenal. My little family just went up to Flagstaff for a quick day trip and I would go back just for this restaurant.
What a great place! Everything a sports bar should be - and a lot more. 10 out of 10. The food, atmosphere and service are outstanding. They have the absolutely best grilled cheese sandwich. The house-made blue cheese dressing is the best I have ever eaten! The Honey Dijon Chicken Melt is awesome. Our server was Mariah. She is top notch. If you come to Flagstaff, this is a must stop!
Collins has great night life and atmosphere! I have been here numerous of times since living in Flagstaff and it is the best place to go out to for a night on the town. The music is great and the crowd is friendly along with the bouncers, bar-tenders, and all the workers. I have always felt safe there and its a #1 place to bring my friends when they come and visit. Besides that, the food is also great and service is helpful and always timely. Could not recommend it enough!
They dont do happy hour on graduation day. Not night, day. Happy hour ends at 6, and they dont do it because graduation day but graduation ends at 5..Also, they charged us a mystery dollar on our bill with no indication as to why.. also the cups are all only plastic, no glass2 stars cause the pool tables are nice enough
Cool atmosphere yet quite worn, as most college bars. The corned beef was decent, not great. A bit on watery side unfortunately. Guinness was on point, as was the service.
Place has a nice vibe and the food and drinks came quick that we ordered. Reuben felt pricey, but I try to keep in mind that food has been going up in price in general. The Irish trash can is a good deal for the volume you get, albeit it tastes somewhat like candy from the red bull can in there. Good experience overall
Make sure you double check your bill: they HAVE NOT updated their menu (per our server last night 12.31.23) in years! What our server told us was they charge a dollar more to each drink AND add a $5 surcharge to cut the cost of reprinting…? Our group of 6 paid $135 for mid, watered down , and now expensive drinks. Please , print and update the effin menu.
We had a great time! Good food, excellent service, great ambient!
Went there for the first time after living in Flagstaff for over a year . The playoffs were playing for MLB. With all the TVs in this place not one of the TVs had baseball on them. We looked before we were even seated . We asked the hostess if there could possibly be a way to have one of the TV play the playoffs. She said NO our manager would not let us change the TV. This will be the first and last time we visit.Thank you for showing us who you are . We will gladly took our business elsewhere.
Ordered guacamole and chips. $12 for a small cup of guacamole and salsa. I didnt get many tortilla chips so when I asked for more chips, I was told its $5 for a chip refill. Nevermind. Was hoping for a reverse happy hour on a Sunday night but no drink specials whatsoever. The place was dead. But the service was excellent. Jake, my bartender, was super friendly and kept my beer filled. In fact, his stellar service is what will bring me back.
I visited Flagstaff to explore the Grand Canyon for my birthday and looked for places to go to that had vegetarian and carnivore options for my husband. This restaurant was on top of my list because of all the options I saw on the menu for us both. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we received what I feel was a curt welcome and did not feel a lot of warmth from the waitress/host (not sure if she was the waitress because she didn’t introduce herself); she just told us we could sit anywhere. We proceeded to sit and wait for the waitress once she saw where we were seated. I mean there was no one really in there and they were not busy. The same lady that told us to sit anywhere proceeded to go to another table with guests that came in shortly after us. We believe she may have known this family that came in after us (she hugged one of the guests), but before you knew it, they had an entire full- blown conversation as my husband and I patiently waited. After a while, my husband and I understood that we would not receive the best service after being in there for 5 minutes or so and not being acknowledged. Not even an “I will be with you shortly; need any water ?” Luckily, I had a second option for dinner right down the street (lumberyard brewery … highly recommend it instead!), so by that point, my husband and I could pursue having dinner elsewhere. When my husband and I proceeded to leave the vicinity, we walked right past the same waitress/host who greeted us, and she completely ignored us and provided no acknowledgment that customers were going. It was very telling as my husband and I are both African American, and I feel the waitress was setting a tone of the service/ treatment we would have received if we had stayed. Disappointing for sure, and I hope this establishment gets heavy training on how to greet/treat ALL customers equally. And this restaurant does not represent all the other kinds of people I met in Flagstaff during our stay! Good luck to you, collins!
Walked in with spouse on knee scooter after just having surgery -sign said to wait to be seated-there were plenty of tables open but the waitress insisted we wait for one of the two other tables of people to finish and pay-then leave and clean up before they sat us there! 😕. After 20 minutes of waiting-we left as those people never left and the first tables were still open. Not a good way to run a business. Won’t be back.
Food was delicious. Portion sizes were just enough to fill you up with out being gluttonous. Tons of servers and staff kept things moving quickly. All in all... definitely would come back again.
My server was over the moon sweet and very attentive. I had the rueben sand which and it was everything I hoped and dreamed it to be.
Amazing environment, staff and security. extremely welcoming for my partner and myself. Collins is one of the many establishments that makes me and my partner feel extremely welcomed. Security is extremely amazing felt super safe while drinking. Appreciate those guys sooo much!! great environment & music 10/10!!
Everything was fine until we saw a 5% inflationary up charge on our check. Seems like the owner doesn’t know how to handle pricing or business.Expect this place to collapse in 2-3 years with that type of practice.
For an Irish pub it was disappointing. Being from Kansas City this is just a regular bar. Nothing positive to say about much.I felt an old fry under my foot looking down I was surprised and appalled at the site of a fingernail clipping. There is more than enough staff here to sweep regularly. Imagine a hair salon....those of you hateraid drinkers! Two stars are for the friendliness.Fried my food in rancid oil that you can smell on fish!I would likely return, smiles go a long way in my book.
Came in with a party of 7 and unfortunately we didnt have great service. 😕 The waitress rarely came to check on us and we were left with no water after traveling up from Phoenix on a 95 degree day (away from the 115 in Phoenix!). Someone in our party didnt get their food when everyone elses came out. We spoke to the waitress about it and she said she would see why and had still not returned with an update for another 20 minutes. So we had to talk to the manager before he addressed the issue and put in the food order. Also quite a few things were forgotten or missed such as no Bleu cheese as requested, asked for no Sriracha on one sandwich but it ended up on someone elses sandwich who didnt order it, someones entire drink was forgotten, beer orders were mixed up and no one asked if we wanted more drinks. Overall the food was good and if guaranteed proper service I would go back, but wouldnt feel like I was missing out if I didnt get to go back. They were very apologetic and covered the forgotten meal plus 20% off whole party, so that was nice. Normally I dont leave negative reviews but my dad was pretty upset so I wanted to put this out there for anyone else considering eating here. Looked like they have decent drink specials though.
No ID check on a Saturday. The blonde server purposely made us the worst drinks and was rude for absolutely no reason. When we asked for just a beer as replacements we were told these are our drinks or we can leave. We left our drinks and went down to the pinball place and had a blast! Amazing location with horrible customer service.
We came for dinner at 8. There was a shorten menu. And then from the shortened menu they were out of a rueben (one of their main dishes). I ordered a Shepards pie which is one of the most popular dishes here. It was so dry. And for $16 it was the size of a salad plate. The only bright spot was our server, Austin.
From the moment we walked in, we were in love. The atmosphere and seating was so comfy and cozy. We had a party of 7 and there was something for everyone. We are from Ohio and visiting the area. We have some food allergies and the waitress was super helpful and knowledgeable about ingredients. I had the best shepherds pie of my life! My mom loved the cabbage dish. The Irish pub nachos were excellent as well. I had several gluten free options that were clearly marked. The kids were excited for real crayons (Crayola haha) and coloring sheets. An overall excellent experience fitting for a vacation. Relaxed and yummy. Hit the spot!
Not very busy on a Tuesday night but I guess we all have our own opinions on what is and isn’t busy. Got seated and immediately ignored for the group that came in 10 minutes after us, maybe they were regulars, or maybe their vacation was more important than ours who knows 🤷♀️. The waitress we did get after every other one waltzed passed us tried her best but otherwise we were treated like the diseased table bringing in a new wave of the black plague. For some reason the geniuses who work in the kitchen (it’s a hard job putting Walmart guac into their own bowls, at least that’s what it tasted like), kept trying to walk behind me and bumping in to my head. I dunno, probably don’t walk behind the one person who’s sitting against the wall? What do I know 🤔 anyway, 2 stars is generous considering everyone at my table sat with empty glasses while the employees avoided us like we were ready to sneeze in their mouths at a moments notice. Probably don’t come here if you want to feel welcomed into a place
The wings are next level. Seriously. Try the honey mustard wings, I guarantee they arent what you expect and theyre amazing. Our waitress Erica was great. The beers were very cold, and very large. Two thumbs up, would go again.
I was visiting Flagstaff, AZ for couple of days, stopped in Collins for lunch. I ordered Mai Tai and salad, salad was pretty good , from salad 1 down point avocados was hard and not tasty but alecerythin else i liked a lot, waitress was friendly and nice . Place seemed pretty nice too. I would definitely go there for later night drinks just to chil out. Over all nice place and good food.
Bartender was nice. Atmosphere was warm, but really only Irish in its name. Drinking from acrylic glasses not optimal, but understandable for a college bar.
A warm, friendly pub with lots of character. The salmon with sesame ginger dressing served over rice with vegetables and pineapple was superb. My dining mates had corned beef with cabbage and fish and chips which were also delicious. The dinner portions were plentiful.
Good food. We arrived near the end of the kitchen time but service was good. I ordered the boneless wings tossed in a Sesame Ginger sauce & the Southwestern French Dip. Little spicier than I thought it would be, but delicious. Teen ordered the Bacon & Bleu and ate it all. He never orders burgers, so great job. Wife ordered the Mac & cheese bites and the Mac & cheese burger. Thoroughly enjoyed.Good place for some foodie or regular food options.
Had a wonderful dinner with a friend tonight and Ashleigh was amazing!!
Pool tables, skee ball, a few other fun games in a pretty cool, decent-sized pub. Great location for downtown Flagstaff. Good amount of beers on tap. Didnt try the food.
Good food. However, the server keeping my change was not good. we round up doesnt mean you just keep my money. Only when I told her I was missing a dollar, she told me.That doesnt apply when I give you the exact change. Perhaps she didnt know how to count change.
Trashcan are good. Everytime I got some I die lol
Very good food, cold beers, friendly staff.
My 2 friends and I decided to take a day trip to flag. There was 2 dogs with us so one friend went in to ask if they allow dogs. Good news they do. Bad news there were no tables available so we decided to sit out side. It was like 40/50 degrees. We sat there for 30 minutes. No one comes out. I finally go in and ask if someone was coming or if we should leave. Bartender apologizes. Said she told someone and then says to a waitress in front of me that we are outside. I was like cool thank you so much. We really want to eat here. Continued to sit outside for another 10/15 minutes and NOTHING. Needless to say we left and will not be coming back. Ive worked in restaurants for over 5 years and to have no servers even acknowledge us at least is not acceptable especially in the winter. Maybe they were just salty I walked in with an ASU sweatshirt?
First of all THE BEST FOOD (LOCALLY FARMED AND PREPPED DAILY) IVE HAD IN THIS STATE. A classic must have route 66 stop that must be had. My family came in at 3pm to a perfect environment and atmosphere. The southwest burger, fish n chips, French dip, apps and the bbq burger were all to die for. Cooked perfectly and actually seasoned over fire.
Food was meh. Ordered the chips and guac/salsa; and had a sheperds pie for dinner. All of it wasnt very satisfying or especially enjoyable. Just okay food. Nothing to boast about. Decent beer selection. Good service and plenty of tvs to watch sports on.
No stars for the food because they didnt offer anything. On a Saturday no less they give you a reduced menu consisting of one salad, a burger and vega appetizers. Very disappointed. Wont recommend it and wont come back.
Our server Ashleigh was amazing. Will come again.
Had probably 2-3 drinks before deciding to leave. accidentally left the bar before closing my tab, and ran back in to close it before my ride arrived. security was super accommodating, but bartender was not. he asked me to wait, and I waited 5 minutes before politely reminding him that my ride was waiting and i just needed to close my tab. his response was to shine his flashlight right in my face and ask security to kick me out. security did not; they forced the bartender to close my tab immediately. missed my ride because of the bartenders shenanigans and had to wait outside another 20 minutes in 10 degree weather. will not be going back. :)
Very inviting and friendly atmosphere as well as polite and helpful staff. The food here was great and the entertainment was awesome as many TVs were placed above the bar for easy viewing. The location also includes a few pool tables and arcade machines. Very nice sports bar in Flagstaff.
This place was subpar. The bouncer was unwelcoming and the worst part is yet to come. We ordered Jell-O shots and one came half done or half eaten. When we talked to the waitress about this, (trying to get an edible Jell-O shot) she was extremely rude and told our party “well it’s vodka..” then I showed her mine compared to a regular one that my friend had. She then said she would talk to her manager and walked away. But instead of talking to her manager she continued to sell the Jell-O shots. We waited and a patron at the bar helped us get a new one. She proceeded to put my used/non edible Jell-O shot back on the tray to sell and then gave him one from the bottom of the tray. Also no music and bad atmosphere. Would not recommend.
The food is delicious here. Four of us got all different items off the menu and everyone really liked it. Their fish n chips was so good! I recommend for sure.
We went in here for dinner because it didnt have a wait and were pleasantly surprised. The beer selection was good and the food was really good. The vegetarian mac and cheese was more like a cheesy, cheesy pesto and it was awesome. My husbands steak was great too. All the prices were reasonable too. No complaints from me!
We chose this place while passing through Flagstaff because of the charm on the outside. Unfortunately we werent overly impressed with our visit. The food was good, but the service left something to be desired. Our server was unaware of the beers the place carried on tap, and when we needed something for our table, she was sitting by the door just out of sight talking to a gentleman that worked there or playing on her phone. Not a very good impression, and sadly we will not return.
Great place to eat, catch a game and enjoy a beer.
When the waitress walks by you for 15 minutes refusing to acknowledge you the service is GARBAGE. Not a good first impression.
Stopped here after a long trip of visiting all the national parks in the surrounding states. This was BY FAR the BEST food we have had on our whole week long trip! Indo was our server and she was great at her job, came around just enough to help us if we needed it and not feel overwhelmed. We ordered the Mac&Cheese bites, Bacon Mac&Cheese Burger, California Burrito & Bangers&Mash, everything was delicious and couldn’t have been better! Not to mention they have plenty of tvs to catch any game and lots of beer options! If you’re a local you’re lucky to have this place and if you’re passing through I highly suggest stopping! Thanks for such a great dinner and experience!!
Food wasnt terrible but not including that a dish has a peanut sauce is unacceptable. My daughter was two bites into a sesame salmon when her mouth started to itch. Turns out there was a peanut sauce on it, shes allergic. Luckily her allergy isnt as bad as some. No manager even bothered to apologize. I didnt eat my food because I lost my appetite and my husband ate cold food because he had to go get Benadryl. I think more should have been comped considering the circumstances. We did get an additional discount but I dont think that was enough.Edit: spoke to Dakota who was aware of the situation when we were there. Comped the sesame salmon and allowed his waitress to take the brunt of it and he told me that typically sesame ginger sauce contains peanuts, to which I responded no it doesnt. He didnt take responsibility and I still paid for food that wasnt eaten. Also we should have asked to speak to him because proactive customer service is foreign to him. Not even a sincere apology, except from the server.
Games and pool were fun. The waitress was not very responsive in coming around. It was a slow Sunday afternoon so not sure why it took 15 minutes to get our shots.
The staff is great! The food is outstanding -an upscale bar food. You must try the chicken sandwich special. My husband told the server/bartender it was “the best chicken sandwich I have ever had in my life”. Eat here, you won’t be sorry!
Can’t speak on the food. Two beers served in what felt like 12 oz plastic cups for $17.
Very good. We sat at an outdoor table (by choice). The shepherds pie, my husband said, was possibly the best hed ever had. The bacon Bleu burger (ordered rare) was actually pink! Yay! Very good. Music was fun. The waitress was good.
We will be coming back, the best bartenders and waitresses hands down. Very nice Irish bar and grill
Great food!!! Definitely a must experience restaurant!!!I do wish they could make good margaritas.... maybe next time...
The imposition of a surcharge without prior announcement is an unethical practice that should be discontinued.
The worst service I have ever had. I do not usually leave a review but this was so bad. This is the first review I haven’t ever left. We were trying to have a good night out on the town and just wanted some drinks and food. Our waitress came to our table 2 times in 2 hours. After our first order, which took 30 min to put in. My girlfriend had to walk across the bars and find our waitress to put our order in. Then once our food came we had to wait to ask for silver ware to eat it. I am a super nice guy and like to leave big tips, but this was absolutely unbelievable. It’s like they didn’t even care about our table because we were in the back. Do not go here. Absolutely terrible, especially in flagstaff. Any place is better than this.
I love Collins this is my go to bar on the weekends! The energy is always top tier and the music is always good. The extra bonus is I always feel so safe at Collins. Best bar in Flag for sure!!
Hostess was extremely rude and sarcastic. Didn’t ask how much was in our party and started seating everyone else before us. And when approached lied to us and kept seating people. Got the manager and was super nice and apologetic. Probably would’ve been a great experience but was not due to pathetic hostess.
Pretty cool place. Good service. Food is pretty good and most with an Irish twist but some good American favs too. French fries wefe excellentWe went on a Sunday and the atmosphere was lretty crazy. 20+ tvs with football on and the patrons there let you know (loudly) which teams they were rooting for.
Being gs it is an Irish pub I ordered bangers with mashed potatoes. I felt the food was mediocre. The bangers were nothing more than brats. The gravy taste like something youd get out of a jar. Not my favorite place on the Route 66 trip. But you dont know til you try. The other person with me got Shepards pie and wasnt impressed.
Good place to watch sports!! Tons of TVs. Breakfast burrito was ok, would have liked an option for spicing it up, or even just served with a salsa. Tater totchoes basically came out as a big clump of overcooked cheese and bacon on top of tater tots, would have preferred a more melty cheese. The grilled cheese was amazing though!!!! It was definitely the best meal at our table.
The food here is amazing! Clean and reasonable ! Always great service.Use to come here for dancing when we were younger, also a great time !!
Fun spot in the daytime for adult. Its becomes nice dive bar at night. Service was ok
The food was good. I got wings and nachos. The nachos were huge, absolutely fantastic. Could easily serve 4-5 people. A few of the bartenders were unaware of what they could serve or what they had behind the bar but otherwise no complaints.
Disrespectful towards female clientele.Unprofessionalism from employees on thursday night.
For years Ive been going here, it used to be great. Not sure what has happened over the last year or so. Food is still great. Its the service that is poor.Weve gone and waited far too long to never even be acknowledged let alone order. No apologies, no excuses, just no service to be seen.Follow up, saw they had new menu and the exterior looked cleaner. Still over priced small servings. Now you dont even get fries with meals they are 4 bucks additional.Chicken strips are about 1/3 of the original serving and you only get 2.Sorry, demoted to 2 stars.
We were 3 friends. 15 minutes after having paid for our drinks a member of staff asked for our IDs. 1 of us had a passport and the other 2 had an EU driving license. They didnt accept the EU driving license and asked us to leave.
Shepherd’s pie and chicken sandwich were wonderful ! The sweet potatoes fries came out under cooked and cool. Went to order Irish whiskey off their menu and they were out, went to order a different one and that one was also out. As Irish bar, they need to keep the Irish whiskey in stock. The server was very nice and did give us a discount on our food bill.
Nothing special about this place except the game room . Irish Nachos and loaded taters were good . Drinks were not so great and customer service sucked not a friendly staff especially for someone coming to celebrate there Birthday weekend in Flagstaff.
It has changed over time. Nice grad party tonight though.
Friends & family met up here for dinner. We really enjoyed it. The waitress was fast & friendly, the atmosphere was alive (lots of people) & the food was pretty good. We hope to be back the next time we are visiting Flagstaff.
My son and I visited Collins about a month ago. Since then I eat there once a week! Staff was super friendly and got food out fast! Tuesday is gold fish races!
Sadly thiis place went downhill. I was born and raised here in Flagstaff. Every time I come here I get kicked out for a dumb reason. Other bars always let me in after because they know I’m not that drunk. Sometimes I don’t even have a drink and I get kicked out. I highly recommend not coming here unless you’re planning on not having anything to drink at all!!! This place used to be the place to be, but sadly it no longer is.
I witnessed firsthand racism against Indigenous folks trying to come into the bar. They were arbitrarily restricted on Sunday September 10th by all white staff members. Very sad state of affairs for an Irish pub and their white staff who have no idea what white Irish immigrants were up against.
Just say the kitchen closes at 9 in the description, please. Menu looks fantastic and nothing like showing up at 10 minutes past 9 to hear that we wont be getting to try it.
The security thinks they are big dogs and just wanna power trip over people wanting to have a good night, dog water
Stayed in flagstaff for the weekend and found Collins pub. The food was absolutely delicious that we ate there two nights in a row. Our whole party of 8 enjoyed each one of our meals. We got the Cali flower wings, sweet potato fries, fish and chips, salmon, steak, seafood lettuce wrap and Parmesan fries. Each dish was cooked perfectly each visit. The waiting staff were very attentive, honest, helpful and friendly. I can’t wait to come back to visit and eat again thank you for a wonderful experience.
We walked in thinking it would be a good place as they had lots of tvs (why we walked in). Ordered their Wednesday special wings and was very disappointed. The BBQ sauce was too thick and not even hot or warm. Was told the sauce was hot and it was nothing but sweet. The other order was buffalo sauce and was not bad. However, weve had better wings out of a frozen bag cooked in my pressure cooker! You are supposed to hear the wings with the sauce and not just pour sauce over the wings after heating them up.Ordered 5 Apple Crowns and a beer along with fries. The bill was over $78!! The wings special was .50 a wing!!The crown pours were inconsistent. My first over was the right amount. The second and third for some reason decreased. They were chilled drinks without ice so ice didnt come into play.Would never go back. Just stopped here on the way to see the Grand Canyons.
Stopped in for a late lunch during our last day in Arizona - Flagstaff is where we made camp for our trip. The food was very good, especially for a Tuesday afternoon. The place is minutes from the Flagstaff visitor center. The place seemed like a pretty standard Irish pub style restaurant. I bet it can get pretty loud on Friday and Saturday nights. If I return to Flagstaff, I will definitely come back to this restaurant.
Friendly place with good food, cold beer and nice atmosphere. Our server was very friendly and eager to please. My only criticism is that we sat in a booth that looked into the dishwashing area of the kitchen. Close that door! No one wants to look at dirty dishes being washed while they are eating and drinking.
If I could give a 0 star I would! Apparently you can’t go in after hours if you don’t have a state ID or passport. No other form of ID is accepted. As a tourist this was a bummer. We don’t always carry our passports to go to a bar or club. We also witnessed some racial preferences. Hispanics and colored people being turned away or being asked to leave because “the place is too crowded.”
One of my favorite places to grab lunch as a downtown worker. The service is fast and friendly. I couldnt recommend the Irish nachos more. They are seriously the best thing on the menu!
My husband and I took some friends for dinner and the food was great. The menu has alot of different choices to choose from. Our waitress Kyrie was great! She explained the different food choices and went out of her way to get a last desert together before we left.
Sat at the bar. Great food and good drinks. Exceptional services from the bartender. Will come again.
I absolutely love the Irish nachos! I am a huge nacho buff so these were a real treat. There was a great selection of beers on tap and the jukebox was fun to listen to and choose songs to play. The goldfish races are a hit.
Theeee most amazing Ribeye steak Ive ever had. Im 42 yrs old and have had a lot of steak in my lifetime and this ribeye took the #1 spot. The mashed potatoes were spot on and the roasted vegetables were 😋 highly recommend if youre looking for a great steak. Service was great, too!
My husband and I drove up from Phoenix for the day just to see the snow and decided to stop here for a cold beer and a bite to eat. The place is nice. Very clean (except the unisex bathroom smelled like urine). There is lots to do...TVs, pool table, gold fish racing. I know it was 35 degrees outside but our beers were not very cold. My husband ordered the chicken strip basket but instead of regular fries he wanted garlic fries. I ordered garlic fries from the happy hour menu. When they brought out our food we got a basket of chicken strips (no fries) and my plate of garlic fries. The girl that brought the food out said she would ask the manager what happened. The guy that took our order came and apologized and then a few minutes later brought out an order of regular fries apologizing (again) as soon as he got to our table saying he didnt know why they werent garlic fries and commented that he didnt know why it was so hard for the guys in the kitchen to get the order right. Finally, about 10 minutes later, we got the rest of our order Oh and the food wasnt that great. It tasted like something youd buy from the freezer section at the grocery store. Well skip this place next time we visit ☹️
I love pizza but havent been able to bring myself to try cauliflower crust. Our server suggested it with the Mediterranean pizza. It was AMAZING! She told us about some other great menu items the chef is going to try. Great service outside, delicious food and creative beverage menu!! Slainte!
Unfortunately, it turns into a club and the staff removes your chair at 9:30pm, whether you are sitting in it or not. It calls itself an Irish pub yet it lacks most of the pub atmosphere. If you want terrible pours of Guinness into a plastic glass, this is your place. Staff lacked knowledge and awareness. The Fish & Chips were 6.5/10.
This pub is a restaurant by day and a college r&b nightclub by night. I cant speak to the food, but they were open until at least 2am playing 2000s and 2010s r&b and top 40 the entire night. I was there on a Friday. They were out of several drink options and garnishes including limes. Lots of young drunk people having an apparently good time, wasnt really my jam.
Super dissapointing. I went into this place with high hopes, the manager was very unwelcoming to start. We still went in and sat, the food was really misleading and Im not picky. It says sport bar but honestly the spot across the street is way better. we went after and we were way more happy and way more comfortable. So I just wanna help people out and just dont waste your time or money here. You can have a much better meal, with better workers and manager across the street. Trust me.The one across the street is McMullen bar I believe.
We were passing through Flagstaff and a friend suggested we stop at Collins for a bite to eat. SO glad we did! The food was incredible! We ordered sliders (Ive never had such savory au jus), cauliflower wings (so crispy!), and the green chili quesadilla (the most flavorful quesadilla Ive ever had). HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Excellent fresh sandwich and prompt service! I stopped for a quick bite to eat after visiting the Grand Canyon earlier that day. The waitress who served me was excellent and friendly. I ordered a veggie melt and within moments after ordering it was being served to me. The sandwich was extremely fresh and not too heavy or greasy with an abundance of different kinds of vegetables and sprouts on it. Delicious! ...and the Caesar salad I ordered on the side was crisp and not overloaded with dressing like bar Caesar salads tend to be. An 11 out of 10 for this place!
Overall love the beauty of the pub, a great open space. Food wasn’t the warmest, beers pricey $7.50 for a craft on a Tuesday, and the music had a lot of radio dance pop lol overall a great spot. Chill ppl. Easy to strike up a conversation!
