Palmetto New Spa

My best friend and I recently had a couples massage here at Palmetto Spa. I had the Swedish massage, and she got the deep tissue massage. We had zero complaints. 10/10 recommend this spa! It was a clean, relaxing environment and very affordable. We definitely will be coming back!

The ambience is soothing from the moment I walk in the door. The energy, lighting, and décor are all very pleasant, cozy, and inviting.

The lady was excellent. She made sure I was comfortable and asked if I had any areas that concerned me.

Been coming here for 4 years plus just received the worst massage I have ever had. Currently in pain in the bath typing this. Did a couples massage hers was fine. Actually great massage mine was just painful poking into my muscle. At one point I had to physically rip her arm off of me as if she didn’t get the hint from me squirming around or telling her verbally it hurts. I love a hard massage I love a deep tissue massage. This was absolutely not that. I very highly doubt this girl has ever had any training on giving massages I mentioned this at the front and was told what about my tip? WOW I might never come back here customer of FOUR years most likely lost forever tonight

DO NOT COME HERE!!! They dont deserve the one star. This place is trash and they treat people different according to what you look like. I guess bc I dont have blonde hair & blue eyes, I received awful service. That was a very different experience from my best friend with blonde hair & blue eyes. The service was trash, massage was terrible, no lotion, rough, and they have bugs. I think I may just notify my attorneys. This was by far the worst massage and experience that Ive ever had and she didnt even do my full body. This was a treat for my birthday and they ruined it. I should have just gone to my normal place but someone recommended them to me and they didnt know they treat people different depending on race. Especially because they didnt even provide the full service. This place is trash!!! Then they wanna harass you about a tip as if you did a good job and Im so oblivious to what youve done. The TIP is, treat EVERYONE the same!!! FYI: I always tip and very well at that when deserved but they didnt even deserve the payment and I still paid

Got a massage from this well-spoken lady this past weekend and it was so relieving, the massage helps relieve the pain and tension I was having.

Very clean, respectful and friendly the massage therapists that help me with my back relief was yumi I asked for the deep tissue massage and told her that I had lower back surgery so she didn’t put too much pressure on it, but just enough to relieve the pain and during the whole session, she kept asking if I was in any pain or discomfort very much and highly recommend the new spa massage parlor and hoping to return soon

Terrible. Went for half hour and only received 15 minutes exactly. Then waited in room while I got dressed and waited for Tip.

Horrible massage . rushed .left the room 6x : I paid for one one hour and received 43 minutes . they dont even massage the chest or shoulders . Do not come here.

Ugly old ladies probably 70 that put make up on. A try to make yourself look young. Hell with that and then ask you for a hundred dollars plus as a tip for a happy ending , they bumped their damn ugly head

I gave three stars because I got a massage and they have decent prices. I can’t give five because the phone rang so loud in my room during my massage, and I was left alone twice. At the end, I felt rushed. They were coming in and out of the room so fast and I was just trying to get dressed. We had to pay before we even finished getting dressed and she stood over my shoulder like a gargoyle, waiting to see what I would write as a tip. It was strange. I definitely would’ve tipped more if I didn’t feel like there was a vulture looming over me.

Gave the lady a $10 tip. Was low on funds but needed the massage. I even told her I didnt have much money left but she didnt care. She was upset about the tip and demanded more so l we have her the rest of the cash we had. Freaking $30 tip and she still didnt seem satisfied. Ive NEVER tipped someone that much. The massage hurt and I still feel sore in most places. I DO NOT recommend. Id give this place less than one star If I could. I will never go back there and will tell everyone I know to stay away from that horrible place.

This was the worst massage I have ever received. I work 60+ hours and just wanted a nice relaxing normal massage. Instead I got karate chopped for about 40 minutes, then maybe 10 minutes of an actual massage with lotion, more like a rub down not even a massage. Then a few minutes of 2 hot stones in a towel that went up and down spine. I did not get a scrub, nor use the sauna which I was really looking forward to. I did not get to choose what kind of massage I wanted. I was asked easy, medium or light but that was it. The price was reasonable, but not for the service I received and then they require you to pay 20%tip. I could have gotten my sister or someone to give me the massage I received. Its been 2 days and my back and shoulders still hurt way worse than before me even going into the spa.l to the point I may have to go to the DR as I feel like something was pushed or pulled and shouldnt have been. The room was dark and peaceful, but they did not change the massage blanket afterwards. I couldnt even get dressed alone, as the staff was in there watching me and cleaning the table. I honestly should receive a refund.

Definitely the worst massage I’ve ever had...I had to ask 30 minutes in for lotion to be used during my deep tissue massage. I was also brought back into the room when the bed wasn’t even made and asked to pay then. After the massage was done the gal hovered over me when I was filling out the tip.. made me really uncomfortable. I almost didn’t even tip because of it. If you want a relaxing, nice massage do not go here.

I was in town and decided to give the spa a try. What a good decision. I received the shiatsu massage and body scrub from Emma and baby I feel brand new. It was a great first experience and I feel like I’ve been neglecting myself. I highly recommend this business.

Was passing thru on my way to FL a couple yrs ago n decided to stop. What a great decision. Was An Amazing massage. I will be passing thru again this weekend n am definitely planning a return visit.

I love this spa. Its very clean. All the staff is very friendly and professional. I got a one hour massage and my therapist gave me extra time to help with my lower back pain. My back was very tight and she massage and help me stretch. I felt like a new woman after her massage. I highly recommend Palmetto Spa and all the excellent staff

Man, where to start. I walked up and was a tiny bit worried. The outside isnt much to look at but when you walk in and see the rooms, theyre clean comfortable and very zen. The room was nicely lit and the music was at a comfortable level. The massage table not too firm but not too soft. I think I saw some type of smell good underneath it when I layed down. The smell wasnt overpowering, it was quite pleasant. Bathroom and shower area well kept, I didnt feel nervous or worried about any health concern seemed very clean.The massage itself may have been the best Ive had. I got a deep tissue and she got right in there. Sometimes I have to let them know its ok to push a little harder but the pressure was just right. She did a once over on my back and immediately went to my problem area of my right shoulder, which is why I stopped by today but I didnt mention. Sometimes the massage time feels like it flies by but this was an awesome session. I was nice, relaxed and felt like I got the time for the money. It was awesome, cant even begin to say how good I felt when I left. The pinch in my shoulder was gone and she got a lot of the tension out of my left shoulder that was building up. Unexpedtedly she had stood up and walked on my back, that was the best part of the whole thing. Popped my lower back and released a bunch of tension there. They arent shy about getting right up and in there to get the right amount of leverage to get right into the muscles. Room temperature was nice, neither hot nor cold for myself, despite being in birthday suit.After the massage came the sugar scrub and table shower. Again phenomenal, the tiling in the area in nice, the water pressure on the shower head and temperature were perfect. I didnt get chilly at all. The room temp was excellent.I was considering my overall review score. There was a couple small things I could have gone to a 4star for but I decided against it as the massage itself was stellar.So the couple small things I noted.1- I would mention to employees chewing gum may not be the best practice while working with customers. It didnt bother me in the slightest but I know of other who have an issue with chewing sounds. It may bother other and I think it shouldnt be something your have to ask not to do.2- A switch to silent clocks may be a good idea. That was the one thing that kept me from being completely relaxed. I absolutely despise the ticking of clocks.3- The lotion/oil? was cold. Nothing more shocking than a touch of something cold to the skin after being massaged and warmed up.Despite these couple minuscule factors this was an amazing experience and definitely the only massage place I will visit in the future. If you are looking for a massage place check this one out. I dont think you would be dissapointed👍 💯👍

I drive 80 miles in from the coast to visit this spa. It truly is a quiet oasis, very clean and beautifully decorated, with large, comfortable rooms. The sauna and shower area is gorgeous. The therapists are very skilled and attentive to your requests, and there’s nothing like those hot towel finishes to relieve sore muscles. I challenge you to find another spa of this caliber anywhere near Florence. Five stars.

I’ve been going for years and just recently started going back. The service is awesome, my LMT Regina is great with techniques and customer service. Definitely will be seeing her as often as possible.

Horrible! Horrible! The lotion they use was sticky. They had no oils/aromatherapy or anything. Sheets had a sour smell and she wanted to argue about how much tip she wanted. I dont recommend this place
