I had this delivered to me via Door Dash. So I cannot rate the atmosphere or Service, only the food.As you can see from the Photo, I had a two-meat combo. Brisket and Pulled Pork. While I would rate my experience a solid 3.5 stars, the platform constraints mean I’ll round it up to 4 stars.The brisket was a delightful surprise, tender and flavorful. It’s clear why this is a favorite among patrons. The pulled pork was tender and juicy and a smoky taste. It’s the kind of quality you’d expect from a place renowned for its authentic, Southern-style BBQ. Meaning, its close, but not the same.After indulging in the smoky delights of BBQ at The Smoking Pig, I decided to treat myself to their banana pudding for dessert. It was a decision well made. The pudding was exceptionally creamy, with a rich banana flavor that wasn’t overpowering. The homemade quality was evident, with just the right amount of sweetness to complement the savory meal. It’s a classic Southern dessert done right. I’m happy to give it a well-deserved 4 stars.In summary, The Smoking Pig BBQ did a good job for Freemont, CA offering BBQ with their brisket and pulled pork, making it a suggested-try for BBQ enthusiasts. Whether you’re dining in or ordering out, their commitment to quality shines through.

Nice vibe.Very bad service, not many customers, but still got ignored most of time. Took about 5 mins to be seated, more than 10 mins to order, no water refill at all.Some appetizers are delicious. However, BBQ and smoked meat were too dry, and I have to agree with another comment my smoker works better, actually much better.It might be still ok to have some beer with some appetizers, but I do not recommend this place for a formal dinner.

This place is horrible. Meat sucks! sides have no taste, I dare to say even the water was bad.If you really hate bbq and want someone to never want it again, take them here!They are sure to stay away from bbq for the rest of their life.

Yesterday I went to this location for the first time. It definitely did not pass the vibe check. I walk in, I don’t see any waitress of host. I walk over towards the bar and a waitress comes out. I ask her where do I place a to go order. She said to me; “I’ll take your order up front.” I follow her towards to front counter. However she keeps walking and goes somewhere else. Never said I’ll be with you in a minute or any acknowledgment. I order the half slab or 1/4 of ribs only. It is $29.20, I had $29.10 and didn’t want to break another $20. So I said; “ I have a dime in the car. Thinking that she was put the order through as she saw I had more than enough to pay. However she stood there and waited until I came back with the dime. She then says I’ll call you when your order is ready. I ask for a receipt. She walks away from the register and came back with my receipt. At that time I asked if she could put my sauce on the side instead of on the ribs. It had been last than one minute, she came back and told me that my order was already ready. This after originally she stated that it would be a ten minute wait. I waited a few more minushe brings me my order. The ribs had absolutely “No” bbq sauce at all. There was no way that was a mistake. They were not busy, it was literally only 3 guys together at the and a couple at a booth. There were six very large ribs with absolutely noFlavor and no sauce. I’m not sure racist or just very bad customer service.

Had a really great time here, good food, great staff, clean restaurant. The corn bread and brisket were awesome. The burnt ends were good but not as good as the others.

Lightly smoked brisket is always good. But this brisket was lightly seasoned Probably smoked 1/12 hour at 315° How are you doing pretty good how are you? I’m Lodi. then reach 180• Wrapped in tinfoil total cook time 8 to 10 hours. Collagen did not break down called before 204•most likely pulled at 200• inexperienced employees, not competition style, but cook brisket is always good

I ordered the brisket. It was not melt in the mouth at all. Maybe its better in the morning when its freshly out of the smoker. I went at around 4 pm. As someone who has eaten a lot of BBQ in Texas , this is nowhere close. I had ordered 1/2 and 1/2 fatty and lean brisket.

I recently ordered the kids Brisket meal with fries and a drink from The Smoking Pig BBQ and I must say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Not only did I get to enjoy two delicious sides – creamy Mac & Cheese and flavorful baked beans – but the star of the show, the brisket, left me speechless.The brisket was unbelievably tender, practically melting in my mouth with each bite. It was like a culinary symphony, taking me straight to cloud 29 with its amazing flavor. And lets talk about the BBQ sauce – it was a game-changer! I never knew BBQ sauce could be so finger-licking good.The Mac & Cheese was a cheesy paradise, with strings of cheese hanging from my fork and making every bite a delight. As for the baked beans, they were bursting with flavor – I found myself scraping the container clean, a true testament to their deliciousness.Overall, this BBQ experience surpassed all my expectations. Came in with my husband. No one was at the front seating anyone. We finally got seated and the guy tossed the menus on the table and walked away. No one came over to take our order not even water. Then another couple came in and they were waited on immediately. I had to stare the server down to get her to acknowledge us snd she did not take our drink order or even offer to. She fumbled over her words and said I will check. We ended up leaving. Such poor service. First time there and will NEVER return!!!

Very fast and friendly staff. The food was delivered quickly but the portions were a little small. The brisket was dry, but we ordered it from the lean side. We ordered a hot link and it was more like a sausage, it didnt look as pictured. The brisket ends were bomb, I didnt enjoy the wolf turds because they had sausage in them but the rest of my party really really enjoyed them. We all enjoyed the mac and cheese. The ribs were moist and juicy. Corn bread bomb

A great BBQ restaurant with all the comfort foods. I had the burnt tips, Mac, and cornbread, all of which were yummy. The brisket comes recommended!

Really enjoyed my meal here. The Wolf Turds appetizer was great. A large jalapeño pepper stuffed with ground sausage and a blend of cheeses wrapped in bacon.The brisket was very nice. The waitress offered me the choice of brisket from the fatty side, lean side, or both. Went with both and it was really good. The Louisiana hot link was okay but definitely too much for one person.Friendly and quick service.

First time eating here. It smelled good from outside and inside. Varied Menu of BBQ meats and even a Vegan burger.I had the Brisket Sammy, lots of meat on a good bun. Brisket was a little dry and I didnt notice any meat or smoke flavor (or any flavor) other than the 4 various sauces. The Potato Salad that came with it was bland too. The cup of stew was pretty good and the corn bread was good.

The service was prompt, however we would rate the food above average. the beef brisket and pork ribs were delicious. unfortunately, the pulled pork and chicken were dry and tough.

The place is well located, easy access. The personnel is gentle and I got the best cornbread I have had in many time. Meat is just ok. Different bbq sauces are served in the table (I liked the spicy one). Portions are big. I feel like is not very clean, I never saw anybody cleaning the tables or anything around, so that makes me doubt about going back.I’m sorry about the picture, the burger was good and I was hungry, so I only could get this as a proof that I was there 😅

Great BBQ, but atmosphere is terrible. Ribs are excellent and the 4 different sauces to go along taste great, but people who frequent this place make it an uncomfortable experience. Two times were there intoxicated people at the bar harassing other patrons around them. If management decided to put some order, this place could be a great place to go for nice BBQ and a good beer. Stick for pick-up only for now.

Enjoyed a nice dinner with my daughter there. I liked the way you order at the bar. Social distancing was good. Food was all good. Will go back sometime to try more stuff.

Brisket is extremely good. KANSAS city sauce is great. Ribs melt in your mouth.

They have the best BBQ ribs, burned end, beef brisket, corn bread, etc. Everything is good! And you dont have to go to Texas to enjoy great Texas BBQ. We love it!

The food is amazing. Expensive, but worthwhile. We usually get delivery, but decided to eat in this time. You can clearly tell they are understaffed, as I had to go get someone’s attention near the kitchen to get the check. The decor is outdated and very bare. But the food being great makes everything else seem like a non-issue.

Lets start withe the Greens..4 stars. Melt in your mouth soft and very tasty. I deducted 1 star as they are a little on the salty side.Pulled pork 5 stars. Tender, yummy and juicy.Burnt ends 3 stars. Very good but on the dry side....which brings me to the 4 different sauces they have..5 star killers sauces.Beans are good 4 stars.The mac and cheese 5.99 stars. I could eat a whole pot of the mac and cheese!! (Tip, put some sauce on them, nummy, Num-num-nummy.)

Something we dont have enough of in Fremont is soul food. This place is a wonderful way to scratch the itch when I need BBQ.Best item on the menu are the burn ends

The meats were well seasoned, the service was friendly! They have music after hours with various bands as well as TVs for sports. The price was reasonable for what you got, Id be interested to know what the lunch portions were like. I would return again for what we got!

Good choice if youre in for meat. We ordered pulled pork and two servings of lean brisket. Surprisingly, one of the brisket servings was fairly dry when compared to the other - still good but definitely not as great as the other portion.Pulled pork was great and so were the fries. Theyre crunchy without being over-fried. I can also recommend the corn bread even though I dont like corn bread in general.Getting something for the vegetarian person in the group was tricky though. Theres a beyond meat burger but not much else. Even the Mac and cheese balls and plain Mac and cheese came with bacon.

Who doesnt like meat? Besides vegetarians anyway...dont need to worry about those types at this place. Here you will just find real people eating real food, some with delicious sauce, some without, depending upon their individual preference. The meat was good, the sauces were all good. I even got a bottle to bring home for a friend.

Good food at decent price. Bbq is their speciality so just order any of it blindly and it is good. Quantity and quality both are good. Chicken ribs I ordered were delicious. Potato salad was also good.Service is quick and staff courteous. They have ample parking nearby. The place is crowded in peak time but given it is big restaurant, you find the table.

The baked beans are delicious, multiple different style of barbecue sauce, during covid there is dining on patio surrounded by glass to block the wind, also kind enough to make dining in parking area. The prices are very good compared to Oakland. You will get nice portions. The staff is awesome 😊

I used to love this place, but the last time I went there, there were only a handful of people at the bar, but it took forever to even be acknowledged and told to sit anywhere. We say for another 10 or 15 minutes before someone brought us a menu, so we ordered drinks right away. Eventually a waitress came out and gave us our drinks and was nonplused that we had been waiting so long. Its depressing to go to a place you used to like and the staff just doesnt care anymore. They seem to care more about door dash orders than seated customers. We finished our drinks and went somewhere else to eat

Food wasnt very hot. Chicken was dry, and seemed a little pricey for what we got. Our servers name was Jeff. He was great.

First trying this place, walked in and ordered the rib tips and fries got to say Im very disappointed the tips was hard & not edible only thing good was the fries and bbq sauce. Call up there and ask for a manager, was told she was the supervisor and before I could explained why I was calling she put me on hold and never came back.

Place is nice, food is good but not excellent.

This meal was about $15. The pork was the best. The coleslaw could use a little more flavor. Overall it wasnt too bad. Its the best southern-ish food you can find in Fremont which Ill gladly take to remind me of home.

This place was great when it first opened. Not sure what happened. I just ordered a meal and the side of greens were completely spoiled. Easily 3-4 days old and left me gagging. None of the food was fresh. Brisket dry and the ribs too fatty. A big disappointment. It was mid-afternoon when I picked up and not a soul was in the restaurant, that should have been my indication. Hoping they can turn it around.

From Kansas City visiting the area for work and wanted some good BBQ and this place has it. Conventional wood smoked meats and great homemade sauces to choose from. Good atmosphere, clean and the manager Will was a great bartender/host! Owner even stopped by to shake my hand as I complemented him on his great BBQ and establishment and I was told they have another location in Vegas. Stop by and check them out, you will not be disappointed!👍✌

Service was quick, and quite attentive. We tried a few different thing as it was our first time there. Marbled brisket was by far the best, with pulled pork coming in a close second. Wasnt a fan of the Mac and cheese though, while it it was cooked perfectly it tasted bland this time. Definitely willing to try it again next time

Bad portion size I bought a 3way for 23.99 and i got the portion of a 1 way just 2 ribs and not the normal size 5 slice beef and about 2 links slice up links was the only portion done right onlt 2 ribs is ridiculousfood taste ok bean is the only reason for 2 stars this is a over prices snack I got my half and took a picture I dont care for the linis so I gave them all to my boyfriend but this is what we had after the food was separated 1 rib 3 sliced beef and link I WILL NEVER EVER EVER GO HERE AGAIN I WISH I COULD GET MY MONEY BACK AND ONLY BUY BEANS

As were driving by I spotted this place on the side of the road. Me and my family were starving and went to a couple locations on the other side of the freeway that were really busy. I spotted this Smoking Pig and flipped a quick turn and decided to try it out and BBQ sounded really good! What a great decision!As we walked in it was kind of slow a few people sitting at the bar. We were greeted by a very nice girl in the front and sat us down immediately. Our waiter was extremely courteous and told us about what they had on the menu.We all ordered the two item with ribs and chicken, ribs and sausage, and ribs and pulled pork. Each came with a side and I must say they were all delicious!! Especially the ribs. Wow! Fell right off the bone as you were eating it really large and juicy, lots of meat and 4 sauces to choose from to pour on top of or dip in.We were extremely impressed with the food taste, we thought it was reasonably priced and once the food came out it was definitely perfectly priced for the portion and taste. In fact I would have paid more just kidding(please dont raise prices)Ive already told several people about this location and definitely plan to return again. Keep up the good work.After finishing I was outside having a cigarette and met one of the employees, I believe the manager he was a really cool guy and told him it was our first time there and we really enjoyed the food. He was very happy to hear that and said that they try. The guy was down-to-earth and pretty awesome.Looking forward to returning soon as the food, the staff and bar was great and the environment was friendly and homely .I attached a picture below of 1 of many smokers outside (WOOOW) and they have plenty inside too.

Meh!Disclaimer: Im vegetarian and went there just to give company to my non-veg friend. Ive gone to many other primarily non-veg restaurants, and this is pretty close to the bottom of the list.Friday lunch time, restaurant mostly empty. I would think that would mean better service, but nooo.The waiter took his own time coming around and taking the order. Interrupted himself as soon as he came by, and went off to take care of something.Waiter assured us Mac and Cheese balls were vegetarian, but the waitress came by later to tell us it was non veg, as it contains brisket pieces inside. Very grateful to her for that, as she told us before I started eating.I told the waiter to get me the vegan burger WITHOUT cheese. And of course, it arrived WITH CHEESE. We were pretty much abandoned after they delivered the food to the table, so there was no recourse to get it corrected. I just scraped off the cheese and ate the rest of it. It came with a side of potato salad, and the potatoes in it were clearly stale.The only thing good was that I asked for warm water, and it came at the perfect temperature - neither too hot nor too cold.Its not a place I would like to go again, even though I appreciate that they offer a vegan burger for us vegetarian folks who want to give company to non-veg friends.

Came here to celebrate my nephews birthday. Impressed with their menu - their meals (ribs are AMAZING) taste like good ol fashion home cooking! Coming back !!

Chronically understaffed lately. During my last two visits a single server was waiting the entire dining room with 30-60 customers.

Great selection of meat, tons of choice of sides. Not everything is for me but something for everyone. Love all the sauce choices.

Smoking Pig has an expansive menu with options to suit just about any preference. The wait staff are extremely courteous and friendly. I ordered the burnt ends with a side of Mac and Cheese. The ends came smothered in honey sauce which was tasty, but I would prefer if they came dry, and then I could choose sauce or no sauce. The meat was good, but there was no real smoke flavor, or if there was, it was drowned out by the sauce. The Mac and Cheese is excellent; it has some BBQ meat mixed in.

Amazing burnt ends and generally great BBQ food. The 2 or 3 meat platter (brisket, burnt ends & ribs are my favourite) is more than enough for most people and the appetizers with stuffed peppers and Mac n cheese balls are heavily recommended.

When were craving BBQ, we often get take-out here. The most consistently tasty meat we choose is the Brisket. You can ask for fatty or lean or in between. I also often enjoy their pulled pork with the classic sauce. 3rd on my list is the brat/hotlink combo - just the right amount of spice, great with an 805 or Amber Ale. A great place to satisfy a meat craving...apologies to vegetarians - BTW - they do offer a plant-based burger (Beyond meat) if you need to eat with your carnivore friends or family.

Great food, great music. Mac and cheese was stellar. Not the best brisket Ive had, but I like they give a choice of fatty or lean. Im sure if I didnt come close to kitchen close (10pm) the brisket wouldve been more moist.

Fun, food, drinks, lots and lots of beer! Happy Hour is fun at bar. Blues and Rock Bands Friday and Saturday. You dont have to dress up, just go eat and party. Not a yuppie spot : meat here!

Food was basic. Ive had fast food bbq better than this. The best part of my meal was the white rice. Definitely not worth the prices! Service sucked as well. Hardly anyone there and yet it took forever to get a refill, check or box. Took the food home for our dog as we didnt want to waste the food.

One of the better spots in fremont for BBQ. Nothing too special, but its hard to find better around here unless you want to drive up to horn BBQ in Oakland or down to monterey/Caramel. This is a quick and easy takeout spot for a weekday meal, pretty consistent.

I cant believe it I havent been there in a while and I was telling all my friends oh my God it falls off the bone what I got actually I took a picture of was you skinny little things and the ends were like beef jerky I dont think Im going back

A bunch of us were in town for a soccer tournament ans bbq sounded so good. One of the moms suggested this place as it popped up on a search. Cool. We lile bbq too.We ordered online and did a pick up. 3 families. Upon them arriving 2 orders were given to them promptly. But for some reason 1 couldnt be found? He gave any possible name it coukda been under. They didnt find it. So they waited an EXTRA 30 minutes for food THAT WAS ALREADY PACKAGED AND SITTING ON THE COUNTER. So all of our food had been siting in their packages and soggy by this point. The customer service at this place just totally sucked. My husband who has worked in service most of his life had nothing but horrible things to say about the staff & how this was handled.Upon finally arriving to us at the Park. We dive into our food.1/4 rib plate: My daughter loves ribs. Whenever we get bbq, this is one of her go-tos. These were not good. My daughter picked at it and had 1/5 of a piece and did not like it at all. She didnt understand the bread hoagie and didnt touch that either. She only ate her side of fries which were soggy and cold.Kids chicken plate: My son saw this bland looking chicken leg quarter and didnt want anything to do with it. We make bbq chicken and leg quarters all the time. Weve had it at other places! He saw it and said nope.The fries that came with the chicken were soggy AF left in the bag and were mush.Brisket salad: Its a salad how bad can i be? I love a great meat salad. The brisket was not good. There was no flavor to the meat. It was sliced against the grain ehich is great. But it felt dry on the lean pieces. I was not a fan i ended up leaving half the meat on the container. $17 for a salad and it was meh.Pulled pork sandwich: My husband loves a great pulled pork sandwich and this was NOT it. There was no flavor to the meat. It was rather cold and the bun was chewy.Mac & cheese: This was the most disgusting thing i have had to eat. My husband and i ordered these as a side and an extra. It was cold & it was amushy mess inside the container. When you looked at it from the outside pf the container you could see all rhe fat/grease/oil. Im not entirely sure. Note there is meat in this too. A friends kid didnt realize that and kept picking it out.This was just not good. AT ALL.In total we spent about $70 and threw over half of it away. It was such a bad experience & i will never come back(we have family in Fremont and go out to eat often.. im sure there is a reason why this has never been suggested). If we had eaten there i would have asked for a refund. Just all bad.

Really good bbq. I highly recommend having the brisket and spare ribs. And please try the banana pudding if you have never had it. Its my favorite dessert.

Long time customer here. I rarely write negative reviews. Service has definitely been better. Had to get the check and takeout boxes myself because our waitress basically abandoned us and the place wasnt even at 25% capacity. Very disappointing. Fountain soda and iced tea werent even that cold.

They need more servers. Times are hard right now to hire this type of worker, but maybe pay them more.Food is OK, nothing to write home about. My smoker does a better job than theirs.The atmosphere is good. Some what clean and good art work on the walls.

Extremely overpriced. Food lacked flavor, especially for barbecue. I was extremely disappointed. We wanted to try a bit of everything, so we ordered a lot of food. The best thing they had to offer was the Mac and cheese and it was just O.K. I will not be back, I feel like I wasted my money.

Beer was cold. However, food came out oddly quick. Ribs were dry and without flavor. Chicken was dry a and also without flavor. And lord, the potato salad was just sad. Oh, and had someone else’s hair in my fries.. and if you don’t know how to make a Long Island, suggest asking for help. And not pouring some random liquor in there and serving it and laughing about it. ;)

This is a long coming review..Amazing customer service.. to go or dine in. Atmosphere gets 4 ⭐ because they spoke Spanish thinking I didnt understand 🤨. My order had three menu items. Pulled pork fries.. 😋😋😋Links.. 🥱 ughBrisket 🤬Potato salad was super watery 😩Buuuttt... The ribs were smakin!! 10 ⭐ 💯 yummy 😋😋😋We can say it ugh on everything else but the ribs.. 😘🎉😋❤️❣️

Went here for a business lunch, I hadnt had BBQ in quite a while, this place didnt disappoint. I read some reviews after eating here, and was actually amazed there were so many negatives. I had an attentive and friendly server, we never had to ask for or wait for drink refills. The food was AMAZING! My negative takeaway from this experience is food portion size in relation to plate size. When the food came, I wont lie, I was a bit disappointed, it really didnt look like a lot, but after eating, yeah we were all stuffed. I guess dont judge a book by its covers.

If you are looking for great BBQ and even better service, this is NOT the place. Food isnt edible. Signs posted on wall that says they love their customers (which is how you know they dont).I ordered the combo plate with Burnt ends and hot links side of beans and cornbread.Burnt ends were actually burnt dry and hard.. absolutely disgraceful. Hotlinks were horrible... Cornbread was a rectangle cut from a sheet pan and perhaps made with wheat flour not even butter and honey could provide desire to this abomination. The beans were absolutely fantastic. 2 stars are for the beans alone.I sat at the bar and ordered a beer with food. Albeit I arrived at 8:25 with a closing time of 9 and no orders past 8:30, I already knew what I wanted so I ordered immediately by 8:27. Proceeded to get food before my beer. It was only after every other person at bar ordered another round and was served before I got my beer. Which was absolutely required to attempt to swallow any of the disgusting food presented.They even inquired if I ate any of it or wanted a box to-go when I requested my check to which I made it clear the food was unacceptable. They still decided it was worth charging me 33 dollars for the experience. While I understand there are multiple things at play here and ultimately the server that decided grabbing my beer from 2 feet away when I ordered it was less important than doing her closing tasks had already left I decided I would still leave a $5 tip.$40 later Im complaining on Google and wishing I was in Texas right now. I was in and out in 15 minutes and now am on my way to In-n-Out and at least get something sufficient to eat.

Havent been in years and only been to the SJ locations so I thought Id give them a shot again. I came early on a Saturday when theoretically the food shouldve been the freshest.Burnt ends werent fatty and way too chewy and hard. Decent flavor but not spectacular and not at all worth a $3 upcharge.Both ribs were really grainy and dry. Flavor was decent but not amazing.Brisket was actually very tender despite not being a fatty portion as I requested. Was really bland though, but at least the texture was correct and sauce improved them drastically.Mac n cheese isnt that cheesy despite being very saucy. It was alright. Cornbread was pretty good, nothing wrong with it but nothing special either.Good selection and variety of BBQ sauces but none of them were amazing. They were pretty good though.Overall it was disappointing for a $40 meal. Not terrible but not quality enough to warrant a trip back either. Solid 3.

I have high standards when it comes to bbq. Dont get me wrong it was good food but it could have been better. You can taste in the food if the pitmaster has the passion for bbq they didnt have it. The staff was indifferent to the customers. I was excited to find a new place to try and left somewhat disappointed

Great ribs!!! Awesome bbq sauce but they need to give more cornbread not just one roll otherwise it is great

A little empty at the time(Easter), so understandable. Portions were generous and filling. Cornbread was a little dry for my taste, but Ive never had authentic cornbread.(not to my knowledge) Maybe this was. I had pulled pork which was delicious but a little oily near the bottom. The mac and cheese was equally good.Maybe the only thing missing was atmosphere?

Felt a bit like home, and the food was excellent! Brisket was an especially welcome find out here.

Came with a friend to try it since Im not actually a local of the Fremont area, but well pleased by the endeavor. The Pork there is great as well as the in home sauces to go along with it. The fries were well seasoned but a bit flatly portioned, there could be more for what youre paying but thats about the only gripe with it. Overall the food is definitely worth trying and great as a lunch or dinner time place

Food was very average. Service was less than mediocre. Waitress took the order 12 minutes after being seated, delivered drinks, delivered food, never saw her again. I found her later after waiting several minutes to close me out.

Good food, good service and friendly staff. They also gave my family the Veterans Day discount and the manager is a serving Army Reservist! Oorah!

Went in for a spontaneous birthday dinner with my family on a blazing day, and the place didnt disappoint: fresh, spacious, lots of distance between the tables, and it wasnt crowded. The ribs were juicy, mouth-watering, and plentiful, the house margaritas decent, and the kids meal yummy

Based on eating there tonight, three stars is generous. We ordered burnt ends and hot sausage. The sausage was better than the burnt ends which I think or beef brisket but may have been pork. The burn ends were very chewy and the meat seemed medium quality. The servers were friendly. I would not go back.

Two of the guys I work with talked about how good the brisket and smoked ends were here......they were so right! I was promptly seated and my server was on her game. The restaurant was clean and all the staff that passed by my table were friendly. My meal arrived very quick and was very tasty! I enjoyed the assortment of bbq sauces with my meal. I felt that for the portion size and quality that I received, it was well worth what I spent!

Theres no need for any other BBQ place when youve got Smoking Pig. Friends from everywhere insist on coming here when theyre in town. A little expensive, but so worth it. Big portions. The only thing I cant recommend is the sammys -- they sound good on the menu but are just average. Get your meat on! (Although I have brought a few vegetarians who like the veggies, sides, and desserts.)

Very disappointed. Ribs were dry and overcooked. The skin on the 1/4 chicken was the most nasty looking thing in the world - pale yellow, hard and bubbly. Corn bread taste like Jiffy, beans were barely okay. The Mac & Cheese was horrible. Food was brought to the table in 2 minutes, so it is just sitting there in pans. Paid $80+ for two plates of regret. Not sure how this place is open. Oh, enjoy the 4 sticky, community shared menus at the bar, because that is where you place your order.

Smoking Pig had great food! Was my first time there. Our server Jalaine was awesome!! She was quick, efficient, nice and kept checking on us to make sure we were happy. The workers were all nice, respectful and really happy. I definitely recommend this place! Ill be coming back when Im in town again. Thanks for a great experience 🙂

This place was fantastic. Went here for my friends birthday dinner and it was everything I expected it to be. Pricing was very fair for the quality of food I got. One of the best brisket meals Ive had here in the bay area.

Love how unbusy it was on a Saturday afternoon. I had the Smoking Pig Burger 🍔 and it was great. Enjoyed the food with the family.Great service from the waiter. 10/10.

My wife and I traveled 3 hours to both eat and see a concert at this venue. I had the occasion to speak with Manager Anthony by phone before coming down there. He was extremely helpful, explaining to me exactly how the dinner and subsequent show would work. We arrived and had a very good meal. I would agree with several other reviewers: it might not be the very best I have ever had, but it was still really good. The concert that night was Lydia Pense and Cold Blood. Very entertaining. The drink prices were very reasonable. Overall, we had a good experience. Will we come back? I would think so. If they have a fun band playing, then I think we will once again travel to the Bay Area for the show. Anthony took care of us and our experience was wonderful!

Below average food. Mediocre service too. Briskets were too dry. Same for pork ribs. Nachos were pathetic. Cocktails were too sugary. Hot Links and cajun fries were okay. As was the beer. Not worth a second visit.

Burnt end taste good but little chewy. Fries were too spicy but tasty.

Delicious food, ordered at counter and ate outside. Good selection of beer on tap, and full bar.

Nothing fancy here, but the barbecue is good. The two of us got a combo with three meats and a cup of Brunswick stew. The stew was honestly the best Ive ever had with huge chunks of delicious pork and chicken mixed in with a variety of vegetables and beans. Dining is very informal.

Good atmosphere~ Good portion of meat, little pricey. Little dry on the ribs. We tried the rack of ribs, rib tips, slow cooked pork, brisket. Also keylime and banana pudding dessert. Im a banana pudding fan but this one didnt cut it.. Everything overall was just okay.

Once going in, the POS system seems familiar with what Mission Bistro uses (Toast POS). This type of technology is amazing at dealing with orders! The restaurant was as clean as a whistle. There is a big enough table for at least 8 people near the stage, which I do not know what they may use it for.Today, I have ordered the Root Beer Float. Sounded like they make the root beer in-house since it is a craft root beer. It was amazing and I forgot to take a photo, but it tastes so good.

Was there at 12PM on a Sunday, no wait, got seated instantly. Got the three meat combo. All the meat was tender and flavorful. Wouldve liked a smokier flavor in the chicken. The Carolina sauce was fantastic, if you like mustard in your sauce. Great service, and friendly staff. Thank you!

Every time Ive been, I see the Manager, Anthony. Ive had a birthday dinner for 12 and we had great service. Ive been with just a couple of friends and we had great service. When Ive asked questions for food allergies and intolerance, great service. When I didnt see what I wanted on the menu, Anthony helped me order what and how I could to get what I was looking for, excellent service! Getting the picture? And of course I love the food and keep coming back...but the customer service is what keeps me suggesting this place for dinner because I just dont see it many places any more.

I thought the food was ok nothing too special but the server we had was on point! We got the fried macaroni and the first batch was cold in the middle. Our server was very helpful and got us a new one and took it off the bill. I thought that he handled it very well and we walked out happy with full bellys. All in all we had a fun time and the food was good enough. We will probably go back again just because of the excellent service we received!

This was our 2nd visit both times great service and excellent food. My 12 yr old son picked this restaurant, he got the burnt tips, loves them! My husband got pulled pork and brisket, I also had it last time, it is perfect! This time I just got peach cobbler and a Manhattan to drink, delicious! The manager and waitress were super friendly!

I ordered the brisket thru Uber Eats today and it was delicious! I was amazed that it looked just as good as the picture, and tasted even better. Super tender and cooked perfectly. Only regret is I wish bbq sauce was included. That could be my fault though. 5 stars

My first time here the food was pretty good would have been better if it came out hot and not lukewarm. Not a fan of their mac-n-cheese but their bacon wrapped chicken lollipops were delicious. Our waitresses was nice, friendly her backup person was ok, there were a couple of mishaps but nothing that was world ending or to prevent me from going back.

The location was clean and the staff was polite and quick.The food was an overall disappointment though.I had ribs, a chicken leg, and burnt ends. None of them were above mediocre.Also, the potato salad was runny and weird.Granted I just moved here from the south, and may be biased, but this barbecue was not anything to go out of the way for.Other positive note - the original BBQ sauce was good. The other 3 flavors were not.

Good BBQ. Had the 3 meat combo, brisket (50/50 fatty), ribs and hot links. All tasty but the brisket was the star. Good sauces too. Nice selection of standard and crafts beers. Friendly service, food arrived lightning fast.

I like this place. They really know how to smoke their meat. Im not fond of everything but the chicken sandwich has lots of meat in is very flavorful. Their greens are overcooked but their cornbread has a sweet grainy nature thats unusual and enjoyable. I really like the chicken lollipops and the beef brisket. I can hardly wait for live music to come back because although its loud its good blues and jazz and fun for those of us who are a little older.

If you love traditional BBQ food this is the place for you. The burnt ends brisket was perfect. Crispy on the outside and O so tender in the middle.The sides were awesome as well. Cant go wrong with the BBQ beans. The flavoring is amazing. Loved the mac n cheese too but it can be a little runny. Flavor was awesome though with a hint of garlic.

A place to eat BBQ meats and some good side dishes. Live band was setting up, so the place was a bit busy. Order your food when the waiter person comes or it will be a long wait. There are fewer items on the menu vs beer selection, but there all very tasty. We were there for 4 hours and never pressured to leave.

When we got there we were met at the counter by Will, dude is super cool. He was very friendly and helpful. When my husband decided he was going to opt for a 3 meat plate Will was quick with suggestions. My hubby went with all his suggestions and was so happy. The food is great! The portions are HUGE! Like wow. My Husband can eat and he hardly put a dent in his platter. I opted for the nacho appetizer as my meal, dude... IT WAS SO GOOD! I got the pulled pork and threw half on hubby’s plate because it was to much! And I still didn’t finish it. I highly recommend this place. Even with COVID restrictions implemented the place was enjoyable. There was music and I must say it was good music 😁. It was a great get out of the house dinner spot. I wasn’t concerned about “COVID” cooties at all, and I am always stressed out when we venture out like that. The social distancing is set up so that you have plenty of space between other people.

This place is the closest place to having Texas bbq, bartender was amazing super nice and knowledgeable. The food is pretty good for the price can’t beat it. Not too sure where the regular bartender is at the last time I went they had new bartenders that are to attentive to the customers.

Went to a table fast, great atmosphere and good service! The brisket was fantastic with the Cajun fries along with the California honey BBQ sauce. Ive had great southern BBQ across most of the southern states (regularly because of all the traveling my job has) and this place has a seriously competitive taste with their brisket! This was the worst meal I have been served in years. We ordered the 2 meat combo (brisket and ribs) with rice and beans. The best item was, by far, the beans. I have had better barbeque from backyards, made by handicapped teenagers.The meat was dry (HOW DO YOU MAKE WET RIBS DRY?!?!), the portions were laughable, the sauce was on par with regular grocery store brands, all for the price of seafood/sushi. Never come here, if you must have BBQ go for a drive elsewhere. San Jose and Oakland both have better options.

Went to eat on August 9th for dinner and had a combo plate for my son: pulled pork and brisket with beans and white rice (really a side dish?), and I had a large plate of their rib ends with their version of what they refer to as potato salad.First, the total came to be around $46 and some, but the portion size was like getting a full rack of humming bird ribs - ie tiny! (Well, more like chicken ribs!). The food was insipid at best and flavorless and DRY as all heck. Their sauces are flavored sugar to add to the honey drizzled on top (I call it honey for lack of a better description). The white rice was just steamed white rice. The beans were sugary but very potent and could potentially be considered chemical weapons after the effect they had on my stomach. The potato salad was awful!Now that I have reviewed the food as lousy and pretty much crabb(pp)y, let me tell you what the MAN in charge tried to do!After I ordered my food, which I had to carry out myself (and they wanted a tip?), I was charged. I paid with my credit card and signed for the purchase; unbeknownst to him (da MAN) I always get an email notification with the information about my charge. Obviously, the charge had gone through.While sitting down outside, but prior to trying to eat the swill, the guy came out with his POS, and clearly stated that my card HAD NOT GONE THROUGH and that my bull was now $54 and some! I simply answered that: 1. It could not be true, because I had signed the purchase, and 2. I had proof that it was so!I showed him my confirmation email, and he, abusively, started to grab my phone and scroll up and down trying to figure out how to make the message disappear! Eventually he gave up! This was an outrageous attempt at charging me for money that was paid to them cash and he stole, and was a very lame attempt at double charging me as if I was going to be stupid enough to pay a second time! Aint gonna happen!I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS PLACE - FOOD AND SERVICE SUCK AT A HIGH PRICE!

The staff is friendly but I often find myself with a long wait here. We had to stop visiting during lunch because we would end up being out for 2 hours. The food is OK but pretty dry. I personally dont really care for most of the sauces either. You wont leave hungry though.

Horrible horrible service. Only one waitress told us we would have a twenty minute wait. I looked around and there was only two other couples in the restaurant but said ok since it seemed she was the only one working. As we waited to be Acknowledged by her about 6 kitchen workers came out to sing happy birthday to their coworker. The waitress was so caught up trying to take care of the on line orders she still haven’t come to say welcome or would you like something to drink. We waited for about a half hour and still no help. It smelled so good in there we really wanted bbq so we waited. She waited on the girls behind us and shortly after brought their food so I thought any time now we would be waited on but no. After about another five minutes without being acknowledged even we left. No bbq for us. Very disappointed to say the least. I understand it was only her waiting on people but after this much time without ordering or even being acknowledged I was at my limit of rudeness. What a horrible waitress. All she had to do was come up to us and say I’m by myself so it’s going to be a while and offer us waters. I’d have been cool with that. She was the worst and seemed like doing her job was so annoying, us being there was annoying, the on line orders were annoying and the door dash drivers were annoying.Management needs to step it up big time.

Its been a minute since I have been back because my order was always messed up.Almost 2 years later. I decided to do take out. Will takes my order. Very friendly. Burnt ends 1/2 pound. Macaroni and cheese. Small. I get there everyone is festive. He asked the person on the line fulfilling if my order was ready. Wait 4 minutes. I order another piece of cornbread.I got thr burnt ends. No Macaroni and cheese I got someone order. Looks like pulled pork. I cant call back it says line is busy.

Today was my last visit here.My prime rib came just a few minutes after ordering which was nice but the food was cold and bland. The server came by ten minutes later to ask how it was and I let her know that my food was kind of cold. She shrugged, said she was sorry and walked away. Its just too hit and miss here to keep spending my money hoping theyll bring me a good meal.

There macaroni and cheese is awesome so are there potato wedges.

Ive had much better BBQ. Ribs were so-so, but a little dry. Brisket was reasonably tender. Brats were way too dry. The wings were fried chicken vs. smoked (which you would expect from a BBQ place). On a positive note the service was swift. The search for great BBQ in the Bay Area continues. We likely wont be back.

Good service, delishes food. Louisiana hot sausage was actually spicy (I like spicy food and it has a kick). My husband and daughter enjoyed ribs and pulled pork, so flavorful and tender. The best part is the smell that hits you when you enter.

The smoking rib is really good. Juicy and tender! There are three different kinds of beef brisket, lean, half and half and fatty. Even if we ordered lean , its very juicy and tender. The level of wellness is right on spot! All in all, its one of the best bbq restaurants weve been to.

Great place with a variety of pork meat. I will always order ribs. They are really big, if you are hungry then order the half plate.Nice place at afternoon, but weekends night they have live music, I do not like it because cannot talk to anyone else due to the noise.Variety of beer.

It was a good and vibrant place. As the name suggests, there were very less options for those who prefer chicken. The portion size was great.

Our party of 9, including 2 kids under 4 yrs old was handled with great service & the prime rib dinner was cooked perfectly. I didnt think i would finish my prime rib but i did because it was tender & tasty. A little pricey but worth the cost.

Decided to come check this place out, and Im glad I did . First they have plenty of free parking and the restaurant itself seats a good amount of people .So now to the food it was simply amazing . The brisket was nicely smoked and juicy , the ribs was my favorite since the meat just falls off the bone. Thats a big plus for me if the meat falls off the bone, not sure if everyone else feels the same but thats one of my things I look for when eating ribs .Now to the wolf turds gotta try these but its a bit spicy. Hot links was good but I would have liked it burnt up a bit . Now to the burnt ends, these were awesome felt like I was eating a candied piece of meat . It was kind of addicting eating these burnt ends . I cant wait to come back when Im back in this city , we had amazing food an amazing waitress Elena . She always came back to check on us and refilled our drinks and anything else we needed. She was just super nice and easy to talk to. I didnt have that feeling like Im bothering the server when I asked for things . So to sum things ,up Ill be back when Im in Northern California since Im not from the area .

Best BBQ in Fremont. Owner is a sweetheart, staff very friendly and make me feel like family. Staff has good sense of humor and fun to be round. Food is legit and taste great! Try the burnt ends, the ribs and fries are also KILLER! The place also serves as a GREAT music venue for all sorts of roots american music, the blues is killer there. All sorts of greats like James Harman etc... Super fun place

I am from Texas and this is the best brisket Ive ever had in California. I wish they had a spicier traditional BBQ sauce but thats the only complaint I can think of. The BBQ beans were to die for. We had such excellent service from our waitress Stephanie. They also have quite a large selection of wine, beer and cocktails.

Love the pulled pork sandwich. Its as good as what I would get back in Tenneessee. They also have a great selection of craft beer and consistently good service.

First time customer and I must say I regret passing this up every day! I think my husband and my 3 little picky eaters can agree that this place was amazing! I got the brisket and pulled pork 2 meat combo they have you will be waddling out of the restaurant for sure! the portions are plentiful I came home with plenty to eat later! Always a plus! From just walking in the entire staff was very polite but having 3 kids and eating out can be hard but the manager with the beard I believe his name was Arron (sorry if I’m wrong) made it a flawless visit And was so kind to personally check up on us and so grateful he told us about the catering too I’m definitely surprising my husband for his 30th birthday! Also get the banana pudding to take home you will thank me later !

Theres no other way to say it but to say it. The food was NASTY! Not even 2 mins after we ordered 2 pulled pork and chicken combos with beans and macaroni...the server was right out with it....and it wasnt even warm...the pulled pork texture was like something Id chew for an infant and the mac n cheese was bland.The chicken was pink and those beans....smh! The ambience was nice and it was clean and the music was good! Wouldnt recommend to anyone.😣

Came here to check out the food and the atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon. Saw that there was a few people waiting for their take out or pick up orders. It didnt take long to see why. When you have employees airing out their differences in front of customers, it looks very unprofessional. And no one wants to enjoy their meal listening to inhouse squabbles. As for the menu, from what I ordered everything tasted delicious except for the greens, they need work.

I placed my order online and it was breeze picking up my order the next day.I ordered a full rack of ribs with chicken legs and a side of the potatoe salad. The ribs were moist and juicy. It was so delicious. But the chicken was dry. Next time Ill just stick to the ribs and sides.

One of the best experiences I’ve had in a restaurant after COVID. Everyone had masks on, very sanitary. The food was amazing, J was very friendly and made my visit very memorable. I recommend the fried Mac and cheese balls. I will keep coming back.

Service was terrible! I was with my mom and her friend (seniors), and they were trying to read the menu and it was pretty dark in there except the bar area. The lady behind the bar, didnt care that they couldnt stand for long. So they ended up going on the patio to look at the menu. Pre-pandemic was better! Wont be back

Best pulled pork ever. The manager was coming through with a cart of freshly cooked sausages. We commented on how good they looked. Next thing we know hes back with free samples. Awesome hot links.

We tried the Smoking Pig during an overnight layover looking to experience some local BBQ. We were very satisfied with the friendliness of the staff and the brisket sandwich was dead-on in flavor and size. We had one lean and another 50-50 and each was just as ordered and delicious. Highly recommended if in the Newark California area.

Great atmosphere.The food was delicious.. I dont eat pork but my boys love it,so they ordered pulled pork and I ordered tri-tip it was Amazing! I liked how they asked me if I wanted the fatty or the lean. Not like most places they just serve you whatever. I will be coming back to this place. A++

Avoid this place at all cost if youre an asian! Being waited in restaurant for a pickup order for more than 40 minutes, not because of havent ready, but they decided to serve other customer behind of me! They would rather let the food getting cold than just pack it up and give to customer. I cant believe this actually happened in Fremont, CA in 2022.

This place has decent selection of beers.Not much decor just all wood. The food is okay nothing to rave about pretty standard bbq. Which is not bad but doesn’t get me back like I got to have this. I go with co-workers since this place usually empty and has room to fit 12 or more people at a table. It’s really the only place to find BBQ in Fremont area.

Very good BBQ. My wife and I are watching our sugar consumption and the brisket and sausages dont come pre-sauced which was great. I had both in a 2 meat plate and my wife had a huge salad with brisket. They have a delicious spicy sauce available with no sugar as well.

Honestly pretty terrible BBQ and food in general. Brisket was tough, the ribs were tough and cold, the greens were swimming in water, potato salad was watery. The peach cobbler was mushy and terrible. The entire meal was pretty awful, especially for the premium bbq prices. Don’t get food from here.

The food here is as expected... GREAT! It sticks to you in every blessed way possible. They have multiple screens here in case you ever want to watch any games. They also play music there on Saturday nights. I dont know about Fridays because I havent gone there on that day. Its the perfect place for post workout bulking.

I have eaten here several times and generally enjoy what I have eaten as does various members of my family. Dining is currently an intetesting experience and we chose takeout. We ran into issues trying to order from their website and finally simply called the restaurant instead (btw, the person taking our order was quite efficient & competent! Kudos to him). There are the expected items available and they are even branching out a bit with having a Beyond Burger option available. Having dined there several times I will note that there some unevenness to the bbq-I guess it depends on the chef?bbq master? Nevertheless, we still eat up everything! The prices are relatively decent, you get enough to eat, but youre not overwhelmed by the serving sizes. I have a couple of wishes...1) for picky, younger children that there be simple, plainer food, and 2) a greater selection of sides. Oh, and bring extra napkins as there selection of sauces is fun!

Disappointed, Im just learning to smoke Brisket , the last 2 Ive done were excellent, moist flavorful, great taste , tonight I was disappointed, it was dry, almost tough to chew and not much taste. I had to use the BBQ sauce to help it. Only thing I can think of is someone had a off day .

The brisket was very dry when I received it and ID ask for anything else just a brisket and seemed like those older was in freshed until I complained about it and then they brought me out of fresh batch in a taste a lot better. Tenders well I cant see much about the sauces. I wasnt there to use or sauces, I was there to taste the quality of their brisket. Whats my family all they order with French fries the like the fries. And these are young elementary and junior high Children very finnicky.

The food was awesome. If you are in the area you must try this. Great smoke ring on the meats. Mac and cheese was as good as the meats. From out of the area but well worth a stop. Manager very friendly and helpful. Great choices of sauces for the mests.

I had the burnt tips and my then girlfriend had ribs both were amazing especially the tips ! Then danced which was the reason we went there. My good friend Garth Webber formily of the Miramar Beach Band way back in the 80s at the Miramar Beach Restaurant another excellent place to take anyone that loves good food!If you get a chance to see Garth Webber in concert or at any local pub dont miss the chance hes an amazing guitar player and has been given many awards over the years. Look him up or maybe go to his recording studio youll be glad you did. He has also toured with a few bands you might know one of which was the chilly peppers I think but others Im sure.

Great place to watch football as they have directTV and multiple flatscreens. They also have live blues bands on occasion. The inside is large enough to accommodate big groups and theres outdoor seating as well. The food is delicious, staff is friendly. Make sure to ask for barbecue sauce if you order take away. I didnt get any w/ my order and had to go back to get it though they did comp me an order of Wolf Turds for the inconvenience. Burnt Tips are awesome but get em early as they are usually out by late lunch.

We love the salads! I know, you are thinking this is a BBQ place but OMG their Sesame Soy Dressing is amazing with either the brisket or chicken salad. It has the perfect combo of all things - very tasty and filling!

My family tried this place for dinner and we were not impressed. The meat was cold and soggy. The childrens meals were not worth $9. The smokin burger had an odd texture I didnt find appealing. The coleslaw was underdressed and bland. Service was mediocre at best.

Good meat. Sides and desserts aren’t that great so order lots of meat.

Chicken lollipops are still amazing! As for brisket, pulled pork, ribs - I dont think the meat spends hours cooking any more... On our last visit the meat was chewy, bland, not soft and not smoky...

Best hot links in Fremont! The ribs were good and smokey. Not a fan of the Carolina BBQ sauces, but the flavor of the meat speaks for itself. I went twice today. First time to taste the ribs and the second time to get more hot links.

Very good BBQ including glazed burnt ends on the menu! Traditional Key Lime pie and peach cobbler for dessert. Large, pleasant space with sports on TV all around. Booths and tables. Full bar! Staff is friendly and helpful but service is a bit spotty...often slow but sometimes with lightening speed. Ive only gone in for lunch and havent tried the whole menu, and the Mai Tai l ordered was large but the rum was barely detectable (at happy hour anyway), so for all of the above l think a rating of 4 is quite fair.

Fantastic Service, all employees were very considerate, fast service. Would like to stay for the Live Band next Time. I will recommend this place to all. I do recommend you get there around 6:30-7:30 before Band Starts at 9pm. It gets so crowded fast. 🌟 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

If youve never had authentic BBQ and came here, you might find it passable. I had a brisket and pulled pork lunch platter with cornbread and southern style greens. The brisket was waaaay too dry, the pulled pork was acceptable in that it was cooked properly, but unfortunately had no flavor. The BBQ sauces were all wrong, I tried the Kansas City style sauce and the Carolina style sauce. The Kansas City style sauce tasted like it had a generous helping of dry rub and cayenne mixed into a basic BBQ sauce base, which is unlike anything youll ever get anywhere in Kansas City, and the Carolina style sauce tasted like the same base with mustard and vinegar added, which again is unlike anything youll ever get anywhere in the Carolinas. The greens were cooked properly, but tasted as if the pork fat was added at the last minute, and the only fat it was actually cooked with was butter. The only part of my meal that was done exceptionally well was the cornbread, which was amazingly moist with just the right amount of sweetness. All in all, the food was edible, but expensive as BBQ goes, even in the Bay Area, so I will not be returning.

Its okay ....my last visit there I was expecting to eat there and I was told they had 15 mom til close . I ordered my food and was served in a take out box with a bag.SMH. I still tipped but in hindsight I shoulda just left w/o tipping. Never the less Im from Texas and the bar b q is alright.

The food is great. If you enjoy mac and cheese, you have to try some, it is the best grown-up mac and cheese around. The service was just right, not hovering or too far away if we needed anything. We will be back!

The chicken I had was really dry! The french fries so salty it had seemed liked they were cooked in nothing but salt. The only thing good I could say about this place is the staff is friendly.

Really good food and portions. Their sauces are really good. I had sliced brisket sandwich with fries and a large root beer float. Tonigth the entertainment was a latin cuban band. Lots of people 💃, had a super good time dancing. Really enjoy the visit.

Fast forward now with Delivery services,I paid about $25+ for like 2½ strips of Brisket/crumbs of meat and like 4 cubes of the Burnt ends. Really shady on their part,TBH if they were low on Meats I wouldve appreciated it if they at least left a note or call and try and substitute it with a couple ribs or whatever they had! Feel really jipped and lost a regular customer.

Great BBQ place in Fremont. Not too expensive and plenty of TVs to watch football while filling your face with smoked meats. The ribs are tender and the Carolina BBQ sauce is tasty. Not so much a fan of the Kansas sauce though. Payed about $60 for a meal for two including a starter and a couple of drinks. Had enough to take home and have for lunch the next day.

I was taken here while visiting family. Im a huge bbq lover and this place really knows how to do bbq. Their chicken lollipops are pure heaven. The pulled pork was so tender and had a great flavor. The peanut butter pie is to die for. Im so glad we were treated to this fine establishment. It was also a pleasant surprise to see some live music. Its definitely a worthwhile so if youre in the area.

Decent, but not great. They have a variety of sauces to choose from on the table (Carolina, KC, etc) The meat was cooked alright but lackluster in flavor.I ordered the 2 meat combo (ribs + burnt ends)The ribs were tender, and not-dry, but very bland/tasteless. I doubt they used a rub, and there was no sauce on the 2 mid-size pork ribs. I sampled all of the sauces and settled on Carolina style (heavy on the vinegar, med-sweet and slightly orange in color)The burnt ends were super sugary sweet with a teriyaki aftertaste. Some people may enjoy this, but I was not into it. Also, they were re-smoked until caramelized but at no point were they burnt/crispy.Meh...

Its just okay to...i oredered ribs and burnt ends. The ribs need the bbq sauce to provide flavor to the under season pork ribs. The burnt ends are passable. It had a funky sauce that was not agreeable to me. I would rather make oven baked home ribs.

Very good BBQ, if youre looking for a great time with family, this is the place to go. Portion size is not too big, yet not too pricy either. For a party of 10, everyone could get full spending less than 15 bucks a person. Their brisket is top notch and you cant forget about the delicious wolf turds. Make sure you dont order their chicken though, its pretty dry... And dont forget their smokin pig BBQ sauce, theyre all good!

I live near this restaurant and have eaten there 3-4 times a year. But lately, the service and food has been very inconsistant and sometimes just plain terrible. One time after eating at the bar for 2 hrs, then having to leave to meet someone, i was ignored by bartender who was too busy socializing for like 10 -15 minutes before i could get my check. Last time, the host barely acknowledged us upon entry, the staff had no clue where to seat us, didnt know the name of the band playing that night, then sat us by the back entry door where the band was bringing in their equipment with a cold draft from outside with them. Then the waiter got my order wrong. The food is served most of the time cold and dry with wierd after taste going on with the ribs, the burnt ends are aleays hard a chewy. Last, his place, doesnt seem clean to me, so there you have it. This place is only good for having a beer with an appetizer while watching a game. The bands and music are probably the best thing about this place. But this place isnt managed well enough to give it a favorable rating for a BBQ place.

I dont know how to write a review for such a good place! Its perfect. You need to know the Mac and cheese will ruin you for any other Mac and cheese, anywhere. ANYWHERE! Really. Get it! Get two! But you also have to get the cornbread. Get 2 of those, too! Trust me. Do it. Order the wet/marbled brisket, and the pulled pork. If you want to balance it get a side of cole slaw. And a Dr pepper. Ok. Now order!

Went there for an early dinner. I ordered baby back ribs. Wife ordered the brisket. The rib was OK, maybe a 7 out of 10. The brisket was very dry even though we ordered 50/50 fat and lean. She cant swallow it.

I had the wrong expectations. I was hoping for really delicious barbecue. I got tepid bar food. If I had wanted a jovial sports bar atmosphere, I would have been in the right place. Go with friends to get tipsy, rather than on a date.

This place has changed from 4 yrs ago. The pork was tough and cornbread flat and super dry. The server was lifeless and forgot our drinks and gave us someone elses bill. Dont bother with this place.

Food is great but some of the men make Rude comments to Female customers. I was at the bar and a small women came in to order to go wearing a long skirt and one the male workers asked if she belongs to a church or why is her skirt so long. How rude and why is he Objectifying a customer by her attire. It was loud so she couldnt here and when she heard it seemed like it really bothered her and she left. I will now only order food to go. #metoo

The service was horrible. I thought you were suppose to seat yourself because nobody even seated myself and my date. There were a small amount of people in the restaurant but the waitress never checked to see if we needed anything. The food was not at all good. There was a racist vibe and this place should be shut down. The food is bad and the service is worse. I would not recommend this restaurant at all!!! I even saw a customer go to the kitchen to get servers because there were no servers assisting customers also there was nobody to greet customers as they walked in so we seated ourselves. This was the worse dining experienceI have ever experienced and I will never go back.

It was my 1st time eating there and it will be my last time. The meat was over cooked. It was like eating beef jerky, And the Potato Salad was very runny The only thing good was the corn bread.It was a waste of $30.00. I was going to say something to the manager but I dont like to send my food back.

Amazing food, service, specials. Looks like every Friday Saturday is live music. We got bbq pork sammys they put coleslaw at the bottom made it very good. Service was way better than the previous hooters was.

Im from here, moved to Austin for a bit. So, I got to know bbq! The ribs are phenomenal! The mac and cheese and cornbread make me want to eat carbs. I will order soon and share!

Good customer service. Children like their food. I know this is a meat place. But if there are family members who are vegetarian and tag along, wish them good luck. They wont have much to eat.

The food is great, dont get me wrong. I used to go to the one in San Jose all the time. This location, the staff isnt as friendly and the night we were there, hardly any service..it wasnt even busy. Next time, Im sticking with the original location.

Good pulled pork. Good ribs. Cajun fries is good. The beens were way too sweet, and the Muffin was not good at all. Just give us garlic bread instead. Good beer, and wine.

This is your standard BBQ joint. They do have live music on some nights and put on a Sunday breakfast with relatively cheap mimosas. I enjoy their pulled pork and nachos most.

Pretty poor. Good service but the meats were bad. Burnt ends were in fact burnt. Pulled pork flavorless. Mac n cheese needed help. People go for the live music I guess and happy hour.

It wasnt really that good. For over $15 I got the app platter. It contained a cold hot link cut up, 2 peppers wrapped in bacon and 2 half potatoes stuffed with meat and topped with cheese. Not worth $15. The hot link was greasy and there was nothing special with the potato. Wont go again

I had been to the Fremont location for the first time several weeks ago. Other than the food temperature being too cool I was generally happy with the experience.I decided to give the place a second try hoping they could get the food a bit warmer. As we walked in the door the girl at the counter handed us to crumpled and soiled sheets of paper with a staple through them. As we sat down at the table we realized these filthy bits of paper were supposed to be our menus. When I asked the server where the the nice laminated menus where she explained they were under going some changes. Changes or no changes, the first thing a person sees past the person that seated them is the menu. Mine was gross but my lady friends was disgusting, she refused to handle it. There is no excuse for this. If you are changing menus the least you can do is print enough copies so the customers dont feel like you kept the menu in a trash can. If they become soiled and wrinkled then replace them!I have eaten in a lot of greasy spoons and I might convince myself to come back but it would have to be solo because there is no way I will ever be able to get my partner to return. We walked out and let the help know why. Not even one of the three people at the door ever went to see if there were any clean menus in the back. Basically we were told because of the change we would have to order off of filthy greasy paper or not. I suspect there is a board of health issue here since the unlaminated menu can not be cleaned. Considering the condition of the menus dare I ask what happens in the back where I cant see? Bad, bad service. This really sad because I love blues music.

Quick service and great food. Ordering at the front is a bit strange and having to get up to ask for a soda refill isnt the most convenient. Overall I would still go again.

Happy hour on Friday at 5:30 pm, and you get one of the WORST bartenders who is busy yakking with her pals, and no experience, weak drinks, but there are only 3 people in the bar area. No excuse for bad service. As a regular who patronizes the 4th Street location with coworkers this is the only time I leave an infinitesimally small tip (0.42)!! Learn how to make a drink, clean the eating area, and basic CUSTOMER SERVICE. I went to Whole Foods afterwards and had a better meal. I am sure your owner does not need my business, so I will avoid driving from San Jose in the future.

Love this place. The banana pudding is worth cheating on your diet or diabetes. The only problem I have is theres not a location on the Peninsula. Though the 3 they have is worth the trip.
