Hiatus Day Spa Med Spa

I visited Haitus on 8/17. Received an email that same day asking “how we did.” I sent an email with my not-so-great experience directly to them instead of posting on google. Almost 4 days later & I’ve heard nothing. Apparently they are not concerned about their customers experiences.My opinion is don’t waste your money on an $80 Zero Gravity Pedicure when you can get a much better one at any local nail salon for $40. From the moment we arrived it felt like no one knew what was happening. The people who did the pedicures were nice but beyond that this was nothing even close to a spa experience. First time here & nothing was explained to us, they just sit you in a chair, soak your feet in some warm water and paint your toes.If you are visiting this area or looking for a real spa experience- this is not it!

I’ve had muscle and joint discomfort for a long time, and have tried several massage therapy options over the last 15 years or so.Lynda S. at Hiatus has been been the most helpful and best massage therapist I’ve visited, using some light stretching, targeting massage, and actually providing relief that I’ve been looking for.Hiatus has a nice facility, friendly staff, and with Lynda there I’ll definitely keep my membership active. Highly recommended, and ask for Lynda!

I booked a 45 min facial originally but was open to any suggestions. Stephanie went above and beyond. I loved her personality and appreciated how thorough her consultation process was. I ended up getting a facial, chemical peel and extraction. It was amazing and I will be back!

I was in town on vacation and went to Hiatus spa for a dermaplane facial. Wyndom made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. He explained what he was doing every step of the way. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. The results were amazing. I feel like a new woman. I definitely would go back and I recommend his services. 10 outta 10.

Such a clean and relaxing space for spa day. Service was awesome, and I loved how I was offered tea afterwards. It was a lovely experience overall! I definitely plan to visit again for relaxation and self-care!

They cancelled my appointment TWICE! The first time I received a call while I was in the spa parking lot. The excuse was that the massage therapist had family issues. I was sympathetic and rescheduled for the next week. The next week comes around and same thing, they called to cancel while I was in route. This time the excuse was that the massage therapist is having car trouble because it’s raining?!?! This is ridiculous. They obviously don’t value my time. This was my first experience with this spa and I’m already turned off without having received a single service!

Absolutely LOVED my dermaplaning facial with Wyndom! He took time to address all my skincare needs/concerns, and made my skin smooth and glow! | will definitely be a repeat client!! Loved how sweet their staff up front is, and how they treat you like family. Highly recommend! :)

I had a much needed deep massage with Kamealah (spell! Sorry!) and Hannah worked magic and I left with a gorgeous glow to my face. I can’t wait to go back 💜

I have a membership with Hiatus Day Spa at the Frisco TX/the Star location and I love it! One of my favorite estheticians, massage therapist, pedicure nail technician is Wyndom - I cannot say enough amazing things about him - his work ethic, attention to detail, and care for his customers is second to none - he is very skilled and really listens to your needs and goals - the customer service at Hiatus is also amazing, they are very welcoming and kind - I love love love Hiatus!

Muah to Wyndom, he handled me so delicately seeing this was my first dermaplane facial ever. He talked me through the process as he did what he did & made sure I was comfortable. I highly recommend you all to book with him my face was so soft and much healthier looking — much better than my so-called home facials. The location is beautiful by the way.

I had Wyndom for my dermaplane facial and it was INCREDIBLE. He is so attentive, patient, and thorough. I’m so glad I had this experience, so if you’re unsure I definitely recommend booking with him. I would give more stars if I could.

I had the One & Only Mani-Pedi at the Frisco location. Service was good, nail tech was very pleasant. Layout of the spa was a bit strange, almost claustrophobic. I had Performance Polish on my toes, which still looks good two weeks later, but the Eco-Gel on my hands made it to day 6 before the gel just started coming off entire nails at a time. And I was on a cruise vacation, not exactly doing heavy manual labor. Ill find a new salon for next time.

Wyndom gave me THE BEST dermaplane facial. He’s so sweet and gentle, I fell asleep but my skin is glowing like never before! I’ll definitely be back. Go see him!

First time visiting and it was fantastic! Great massage with Jackson and a facial with Stephanie. It was exactly the pampering and relaxation I needed.

Wyndom gave me a 20/10 dermaplane facial, and my face has been so fresh and clean the day I got into that room to now. I definitely recommend Wyndom he’s friendly and he always do his big one.

I have been a member for a decade. I have visited the other locations. This is the best of the Hiatus locations in DFW area. It is worth the drive and money. I dont enjoy all the conversations going on at the average nail salons. I prefer the quiet, serene, genuinely Spa atmosphere at Hiatus.

I love this spa bc their staff is great and it’s a very relaxing atmosphere but don’t book with Adrina. I had the signature massage and it was extremely basic, the scalp massage was not a scalp massage at all. She was not professional. Wish I booked with someone else.

Wyndom is the best for the dermaplane service. He is very knowledgeable and drastically improve my skin’s texture and radiance. I highly recommend!

*UPDATE* (1 year later):I just had to come back and sing Wyndham’s praises again! Even 1 year later, I still think he’s the best massage therapist I’ve ever had. Every visit is customized to what my current needs are, and sometimes, he’ll even know what I need without me telling him. Recently, I came back from a very long trip, and he focused on helping me drain my lymphatic system and get my body reenergized since he knew I didn’t get the best sleep on the trip. He’s seriously the best and I encourage everyone not to sleep on Wyndham! 5 stars across the board!!*I recently started going to The Star location. Jayda at front desk is always so sweet and welcoming, making my overall experience the best from beginning to end. I routinely go in for deep tissue massages with Wyndham, and he is seriously the best massage therapist Ive had in years!! I carry a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders, and he uses the perfect amount of pressure and customizes each visit based on where my tights spots are. Im so glad I made the change to this location and highly recommend it!

I love Hiatus Spa and so happy that there is a new one that is closer to my new home. Although, it is a little smaller than other Hiatus Spa’s in the metroplex.Sadly, the facility is too small to have a sauna. But the you can get the same quality of services here as any other Hiatus Spa.

Hiatus Spa is THE place to go if you desire a truly relaxing experience! I visited there after receiving a VERY GENEROUS gift certificate from my boss, who is a regular at the Plano location. I, unfortunately, waited until none of the masseuses were available but I was happy to receive The One and Only manicure and pedicure service with use of a performance nail polish(its 10 minutes longer in duration over the standard polish choice and is an extra $10 in cost). Being a first-time customer, I wasnt particular about selecting a manicurist so I opted to have someone assigned to me. Upon arrival at the Frisco location (located at The Star - which made parking SUPER EASY), I was nicely greeted then escorted back to Merchell, my operator. OMG...this lady was quietly professional and really took her time in completing my services. I have ABSOLUTELY zero complaints and look forward to visiting this location again.

We were visiting from out of state. We tried to get a massage but were told that they were by appointment only. There was no effort to try and accommodate us. We were not given a flyer or anything nor were we offered any other services. Not a very welcoming encounter

I booked a spa package with a 90 minute massage and the 60 minute 29 again facial. They were both amazing. The aesthetician was Sydney and she was outstanding! I then had a massage from Ashley and she was wonderful! I honestly think that is the best massage I have ever had! I definitely hope to go back again soon!

Absolutely excellent and superb spa! The aesthetics, the beauty of the spa, the peace, and the services offered are so luxurious, peaceful and beautiful. I recommend this place for any and all of your spa needs, relaxation, just because moments, etc! The only thing I would say or wish for is for the common, relaxing area to be separated by the males as it’s all just one. Obviously, it’s still an intimate and peaceful setting so everyone seems to be respectful, but it would be nice if it were separated just due to privacy. Overall, I recommend it to anyone!

I normally dont take the time to write a review but my experience and service was amazing and deserves 5 stars. The spa is beautiful and relaxing. I received a hydrafacial from Sydnee and it was absolutely incredible. She has a friendly personality, took time to explain what the service entailed since it was my first time getting one and even recommended some personal skincare products that I could use at home. My face was glowing afterwards and it felt so hydrated and soft. I saw immediate results and I cant wait to schedule another one. Dont wait.....book one with her now!!

I have enjoyed all my experiences here. My Esthetician I see is Sydnee and I cannot recommend her enough! She took time to understand my skin concerns and then recommended treatments moving forward as well as skin care products to help me achieve those results. The spa is very relaxing and calming. I’m already looking forward to my Hydrafacial in a month with Sydnee.

I had a facial here. It was wonderful! I enjoyed the tips given by the aesthetician. However, the locker room, bathroom and quiet rooms were filthy. It certainly takes away from the overall experience.

I was a bit disappointed. I expected more as Ive been to other locations and enjoyed my experience more. Being my first time to this location, I had to ask to be shown where the dressing/locker room were and where to go. I had one of the first appointments of the day and it wasnt the cleanest locker room. The massage was OK.

Let me start off by saying that Jayda was amazing!! So welcoming and really strives to give the customer a great experience! I was very well taken care of and the staff was so nice and friendly as soon as I walked in the door. I got a Hydrafacial with Sydnee and she was so welcoming and explained everything she was doing and what products she was using and was very informative on what they did for the skin. My skin looked amazing! 10/10 would go again!!

Hannah was superb facialist she took the time to ask questions and address my concerns. She has a genuine pleasant disposition that makes you feel completely at ease. She is obviously someone who enjoys her craft and is excellent at it! Highly recommend, I’ll be back!

Sydnee was Amazing !I got the tailor made facial and was so relaxing and perfect experience. At the end she wrote down products I should use for a routine and I definitely recommend this place especially if it’s your first time ! You won’t be disappointed.

A Series of Disappointments - Caution AdvisedAs a long-standing client of Hiatus Spa, I am disheartened to share my recent experiences, which have been nothing short of exasperating. Initially, my issue revolved around the spas mishandling of my pre-purchased massage credits. Despite assurances that my 11 massage sessions would be honored, Hiatus Spa unilaterally converted these into a cash balance, significantly devaluing my initial investment. Despite numerous communications, this matter was not resolved to my satisfaction.The situation escalated further when I scheduled massages for myself and three guests, only to discover that these appointments were inexplicably canceled without my knowledge or consent. This occurred despite explicit communications with the Frisco spas management. This not only caused significant inconvenience but also showcased a worrying lack of professionalism and regard for customer service.The cumulative impact of these experiences has eroded my trust in Hiatus Spa. The disregard for customer agreements, coupled with poor communication and unprofessional management, paints a concerning picture. I had hoped for a resolution that would reflect the spas commitment to its clients, but unfortunately, this has not been the case.I write this review as a caution to potential customers. The service and management I have encountered fall far below the standards one would expect from a reputed establishment. It is with regret that I must advise against purchasing a membership or expecting reliable service from Hiatus Spa.Addendum to My Previous Review:I would like to provide an update following my recent review of Hiatus Spa. After escalating my concerns to the owner and upper management, specifically Carly, I received a response within four days. I am pleased to report that they promptly addressed and provided a resolution to my issues, which I greatly appreciate.While the initial process was fraught with challenges and less than satisfactory experiences, it is important to acknowledge that the upper management eventually took the necessary steps to rectify the situation. I am currently awaiting the implementation of the promised resolution.This turn of events has been a positive development, and I am hopeful for a satisfactory conclusion to this ordeal. It’s reassuring to see that, despite the initial difficulties, Hiatus Spa is committed to resolving customer concerns, albeit the process could have been smoother.In light of this, I would like to express my gratitude for their efforts in making things right, demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction.

I visited today and got a prenatal massage with Erin and a facial with Alicia. It was an AMAZING experience, super relaxing! Erin really focused on my problem areas and had great pressure. Alicia was very knowledgeable, and gave recommendations on how to improve my skin moving forward. I really enjoyed my experience and the whole vibe of the spa is relaxing. 10/10, will be back!

My most recent experience with Alicia has been nothing short of perfection. She’s knowledgeable, compassionate and has a real passion for the job. Additionally, Jayda did provide me with refreshments, she was personable and extremely sweet throughout the entirety of my interaction with her. Zoe did everything perfectly with setting up the appointment. She was knowledgeable in the services and knew exactly what products I needed. In fact, this is my third time attending Hiatus and I am finally clear of acne. I cannot tell you how happy I am because of it. I had Alicia for the last two services and she recommended me products that best suit my needs. What your employees are recommending are working. I am extremely pleased with how everything has turned out. I am looking forward to attending Hiatus again.

My girlfriends and I booked appointments here for a nice, relaxing girl’s day. I get massages at least once a month and have experienced everything from high-end spas to the $70/90 min foot spas. I had been to the Hiatus location in Plano a long time ago, but I remember it being very nice and having a large bathroom and waiting area. I expected for the Frisco location to be even nicer, especially because it was new and because of the location. Unfortunately, it’s probably as nice as a massage envy. The bathroom was small and I didn’t even get to enjoy the small waiting area. Upon arrival, I had to register on an iPad and there was no seating or anywhere to just relax and complete the form. Also, there was only one iPad and we had to wait for each person to complete the form. When we were taken to the bathroom, they didn’t have a locker, robes or shoes ready for us. At a spa I go to regularly, they always have these things ready. We were told to choose any locker and handed our shoes from a basket. The employee told us she was going to get our robes so we waited for her. After she didn’t come back for a few minutes, we went to check and another employee told us the robes were on a shelf and we were just to take one off the shelf. So, the welcome service was extremely underwhelming. We were also asked to complete a piece of paper that had us choose what type of pressure we wanted. Light, medium and firm were the options and nowhere did it say that firm pressure would result in an up-charge. I didn’t expect firm to equal deep tissue either. My overall massage was fine and my masseuse was good, but halfway through my service the music turned off and stayed off for the remainder of my service. It was extremely awkward and hard to relax. The masseuse said it happens often and that they have no way to control it. It’s unfortunate that management doesn’t care enough to fix the problem. The rooms were also very modern and it just didn’t feel very cozy or warm. Needless to say, I won’t be coming back. The place is absolutely not worth the price of the services and there are so many other places in the area I would recommend before I would ever recommend this place.

Was given a special package as a gift. I didn’t know this location doesn’t remove dip for your nails. I was only able to get a pedicure. Was very disappointed that nothing else could be offered since I wasn’t able to get the package. Prior to service it would be nice for the location to include this as a friendly reminder. Especially if people book this location as a gift for someone else…

I was gifted a package to Hiatus and made appts for an hour long massage and facial at the Frisco location right before Christmas. It was such a great experience from start to finish. The girls at the front are so sweet and helpful. Kameelah was my massage therapist and she is AMAZING. Hands down best deep tissue massage ive ever had. It was so good that i came back and treated myself to a 90min session with her for my birthday yesterday. Highly recommend this spa!!

I came in Saturday and got a facial from Savannah! Such a great experience and very relaxing! She was super personable and gave me some tips to improve my skins health! I will definitely be coming back when I’m in town for Savannah!

Great experience here! I booked a last second massage for 90 minutes and enjoyed the hot rocks option. The massage was very professional, relaxing, and therapeutic for the body. I came on a Tuesday afternoon and the atmosphere was very calm and quiet. The locker room is clean and well stocked and the staff was helpful and friendly. I can’t wait to come again.

I scheduled 2 services at Hiatus Spa for a personal day. I took off work to treat myself for my birthday. I have been looking for a spa in the Frisco area and had intentions on becoming a member. My first appointment was at 2:00pm. I was contacted at 12:30pm (1.5 hours before my appointment) telling me that my appointment needed to be canceled because the massage therapist couldnt make it in. I then proceeded to ask if my facial was still scheduled and the receptionist responded as if she had no idea I had another appointment and I had to tell her I was scheduled for a facial at 4:00pm. She said it was scheduled and I was good to go for 4:00pm. I was offered a complimentary hot towel for my neck for the inconvenience of canceling my appointment 1.5 hours before. I sat in the relaxation room from 3:50pm-4:20pm when I was finally brought back for my facial, 20 minutes after my scheduled time. I was charged full price for my facial and obviously declined a membership. I would not recommend this spa for anyone that has a busy schedule or doesnt appreciate their time wasted.

Love having this membership. I have had a few different facials, body scrub and med spa appointments. I have been happy with everything and need to book my next appointment asap!

I had a lovely massage with Krystal yesterday. Normally, my back and joints ache at the end of the day from chasing kids around. Not yesterday! My only regret is that I’m only visiting the area and therefore cannot see Krystal regularly.

As a highly rated and recommended spa, I purchased a gift card on 4/13 for my daughter. When she attempted to redeem it, the balance was zero. Not only is this an inconvenience, I can only imagine the embarrassment she must have felt in attempting to redeem a gift card only to be told that it had a zero balance. Needless to say, I may have to think twice the next time I think about patronizing Hiatus in the future.

The location itself is super nice and well maintained but I walked in to 5 or 6 girls just standing around the front desk talking and who all turned and looked at me in silence while one of them checked me in, so that was awkward and intimidating to begin with. The two star rating however comes from the fact that I went for a facial and added on dermaplaning and while dermaplaning my forehead the girl shaved off the edges of my actual hairline on accident!! I didn’t realize I was going to pay $100 extra to have someone recede my hairline for me. The facial was nice enough but definitely didn’t justify the $300ish price tag unfortunately.

I recommend Wyndom for massages and dermaplane facials, he is talented and very knowledgeable!!

I have been a member of Hiatus for over a year now and have gone to both the Plano and Frisco locations. Andrea was my massage therapist at the Frisco location and she is soo warm, kind and welcoming. She was easy to talk to, but also didnt talk too much - after all you are there to relax and unwind, right? I have received massages from therapists around the world on our international travels and Andrea certainly matches up to any of the best relaxing Swedish style massages I have ever received. Waiting room is relaxing, clean and smells amazing. Mens locker room was clean and accomodating.

Hannah did my facial and she was amazing. I would definitely be a repeat client! The front desk girl had so much information over pretty much everything , i came for a birthday treat and i got just that. The staff is so friendly. Jada, Stephanie & Andrea gave me the best experience. With all the champagne i was so relaxed. If i lived in the area i would’ve done a membership. Thank you ladies!

Andrea is phenomenal! Shes professional and personable. Immediately after our session I purchased a membership. The place was clean and the team was nice. Cant wait until my next session!

Update: Changing review from 2 to 4 stars. Hiatus did a great job working with me to correct the situation described below. They were able to get my wife and her friend an appointment sooner than they originally expected, and they both reported having a wonderful time there. Thanks to the folks over an Hiatus for hooking them up and working everything out.Original review: In early November I got my wife a gift card for Hiatus in Frisco. It was for a full spa day for her and her friend to do together (massage, facial, mani-pedi, and I think one other thing). This was over $500. They booked their appointment for mid January for the both of them to do all the above together. My wife received email confirmations after the booking.The night before (at about 7:30pm) they call my wife and ask her about what she has scheduled (how do they not know?). They then say they wont actually be able to do all of that and either her or her friend will have to miss out on the massage. Not a really great spa day together Id say. Theyd also need to move the appointment to earlier in the day. Again, this is all the night before an appointment that was schedule 2 months prior. I asked if they could just reschedule so that they could do it another day. They said it would have to wait until March. We decided instead to just cancel the whole thing.Im giving 2 stars because the people we spoke with were by no means rude. They were apologetic about it. But the whole point of this was for my wife, who has three little kids, to destress, and this whole ordeal has done the opposite. Very poor communication and overall unprofessional way or running things.

Hiatus is always the perfect place to go for a relaxing experience. The massage, facial and manicure/pedicure are amazing. I love getting there early to sit in the relax lounge! Worth the membership price easily!

The massage was alright nothing to say it stood out. My appointment got changed last minute— they offered a token of apology by gifting an add on which they ended up charging. I would say they are not very organized.

I had the best facial (you dew you- 55 min hydrafacial) with Stephanie! She is so good at her job and really easy to talk to and offers great, realistic recommendations. I also had a mani-pedi that made my hands and feet look and feel better than they ever have. The staff here are so talented! I can’t wait to come back.

Very nice spa. Had a body wrap and facial, both were very relaxing. Be sure to ask for the warmer to be turned on as you may need more than the towels for warmth.

The manager, Meagan, is amazing and was so helpful when I needed to purchase bulk gift cards for an event. I came in for a massage with Matthew, and he was wonderful. 10/10 recommend!

Self care at its finest. If you dont already have a membership, then my friend you are missing out. I have visited several of their locations and each one is a gem. Facials and massages are phenomenal.

Went to Texas to visit my bestie and she surprised me with an afternoon spa day. We both got mani and pedis and facials.The staff were amazing. Very knowledgeable and made the visit more relaxing and comfortable.Super happy with all the services we received.We plan on coming back and making this a thing every visit.
