Twist Lounge Greensboro

Ended our Winston Salem Pride day at the Twist Lounge in Greensboro. Was a great way to end the day. Service was great and the bartenders Serenity and Phoebe were the icing on the cake. Very friendly and the drinks were fantastic. Very friendly atmosphere where you can go just to relax and be yourself with a wonderful clientele to match. No drama here! Finally found a place that a gay couple can go to have a drink and hang out with friends or even meet some new friends. We live in Winston Salem, but it is worth the drive to finally have a place we can call our neighborhood lounge.

Such a great experience last night with the Drag Show. Performance was funny and exciting and the performers were fabulous!! Serenity and Phoebe ran a great show with excellent service, fluidity, and of course some laugh and kickass drinks. Probably the most welcoming and fun time Ive had in the triad since I moved here 8 years ago. If youre looking for a spot to hang out and have a drink and just be welcomed 100% for who you are, then this is the spot. Cant wait for the next event!

I have travelled extensively, and have never felt more immediately comfortable and safe in a public environment. As an introvert, I was surprised to see events for both big shindigs and more small and intimate evenings (the painting night was nothing short of peace and happiness).The clientele are also superb. Welcoming without being intrusive or overbearing, and conversations that genuinely made me laugh. Paired with bartenders that legitimately look out for everyones well being (and incredible drink making skills!), I actually have found no desire to go anywhere else, and have spent time there simply existing. Such a rare jewel, I feel very lucky this is here!!!

Celebrated an event there and Serenity and the team were so great to work with. Great space for a band or DJ with a nice conversation area inside with couches, a pool table, and an outdoor patio space. Drinks were reasonably priced and we were able to bring in food. Looking forward to checking it out on a regular night.

Come here now and then and its a great place to meet new people from all cultures (other countries included) and other ways of life. Most of everyone you meet here is really awesome to talk to and bartenders are some of the coolest youll meet. Shout out to Serenity and Phoebe.This place is very serious about making it accepting to all, and does not tolerate harassment or other bar shenanigans. Youll feel safe and welcome here regardless of who you are.Just remember to bring proper forms of ID, you WILL be IDd.

Wonderful special celebration at Twist Lounge last night. PFLAG Greensboro celebrated 30 years. Great location, wonderful bar, service is warm and wonderful. So accommodating. The venue has a great space to have a band and a large dance floor. Outdoor seating is comfortable. Food can be ordered in.

One of my favorite places in Greensboro! An amazing safe space for all. Amazing bartenders, delicious drinks, and a fun atmosphere. Come out for Music Bingo on Friday Nights!

Went a few days ago, my experience was wonderful. The bartender Serenity was fun and also very sexy. Wish I hadn’t heard her say she has a girlfriend. Kinda broke my heart but still had a great time. Wish I had been there for fetish night. I’ll be back.

Drove from raleigh to come to an event just to be told at the door that I needed my passport to come in. Never been asked for it at a bar before and every other local has ever been ok taking my countries ID and or drivers license. Why would I expose myself to loose it or getting it stole. Also is extremely prejudice and racist not accepting other forms of ID. What about the inmigrant that dont have a passport? Are we excluding people based on their inmigrant status? I mean if the police can take other countries drivers license they should to at a bar. Guess my inmigrant money is not good enough for them and I have to drive almost two hours back home...

I love the atmosphere here! The bartenders are always nice and the drinks are great! Its perfect for meeting with friends to socialize or make new new ones. Can be lively or very chill. Either way, its perfect if a noisy club isnt your thing.

Phoebe and Serenity really made an out-of-towner feel like they were home. Would definitely recommend this place if you want to have a comfortable place for a drink and maybe a game of pool!

Went here with a friend recently. It was my first visit, as I’m not much into the club scene and it’s crowds. Upon arriving, our friend introduced us to his friends one by one which made everything more comfortable. The atmosphere is upbeat and fun, though relaxing. Throughout the night different people came in and out, and everyone was just having a good time. The regular folks were welcoming and entertaining without being too much. The bartender was extremely friendly and efficient with everyone and handed out extremely good drinks. We stayed and watched the drag show which was full of song parodies. We stayed until it was winding down for night. We had a great time with everyone and the atmosphere was perfect. We will definitely go back.

I love the atmosphere at Twist. Robert is wonderful bartender. Friendsgiving was a blast. Ask for the Alice in wonder shot or the yummy shot and be amazed.

First time here, DJ Chance was not great and the music was lacking bass and pretty quiet

First time going to Twist Lounge and we were excited because of the awesome reviews. Came in on a Saturday night, expecting it to be busy. Went straight to the bar to order our drinks and waited for 25 minutes while the sole bartender served the same 5 foot section. Other employees (assumed they were employees as they were wearing name tags) were there, but only stood at the end of the bar chatting up with friends enjoying their own cocktails. If a friend at the bar called out to them, they would go behind the bar, serve them, then go back to their friends and cocktails.We finally just gave up and left. Based on the other reviews, this is likely an isolated thing, but it still felt worthy enough to write a review. Not sure wed go back again unless we were going with friends that knew those employees that only worked if you knew them.

The bar tender was great. It was not crowded. The atmosphere was very chill. Will definitely be returning.

Went back for second visit on a Saturday night right after Christmas 2019 and nothing had changed. Place lacks an eye for decorating and design. Was about 12 people there around 11:45pm. Apparently there is no cover charge which is good.First visit, first impression...lacked effort and creativity. Bartenders male and female seemed not to pay attention to customers. But that may change, its just getting started. I will have to revisit and update my review. I owned several stores and never opened them until they looked good. Looks like they took an existing restaurant with a bar, removed the tables or booths out, put in a pool table and opened. Outside patio is very small. Had a nice black see-thru metal fence made for a restaurant but had no foot traffic privacy/safety. They were having a guys birthday party on a Saturday night which was awkward and made for a weird vibe.

I love this place, such a friendly atmosphere.... your totally free to be yourself and have an awesome time... I love the events and the drinks are great. I didn’t know what I wanted exactly and the bartender was very pleasant and asked a few questions about what I like and made the most awesome drink. I’ll definitely be returning occasionally 😍😍😍🥰

Not only is the atmosphere and music amazing, thr bartender Robert is the absolute best at recommending drinks, within minutes Robert can find what you never even knew you needed. Most amazing place Ive been in a while.

Twist is a wonderful spot, where you can really find whatever youre looking for. Cocktails? Check. Great craft beer selection? Check. Patio sitting? Check. Lounging on a sofa with some friends? Check. Dancing? Check. Drag? Check. 10/10 would recommend.

I can’t say enough to describe this place. The new management and staff are great. I would recommend Twist to anyone looking for this kind of environment

I’d give this place 10 stars if I could! I love it here it’s so chill you could literally bring a book or dance if you wanted to. Please come here it’s very slept on and deserves more recognition! Open to EVERYONE!

Friendly, clean, quiet environment. Only wish the beer selection was a bit more comprehensive, but I will definitely return.
