Gave a Soma gift card to my best friend for her birthday and was so glad I did. My friend had a well deserved and relaxing day at the spa. She has been praising them nonstop, that I’m planning to book my appointment there soon. The person at the front desk was very helpful and answered all my questions. So so glad that I gave the gift of a relaxing and rejuvenating massage for my friend.

I moved away from Hillsboro recently, but had a gift card for Soma so I drove about 45 min to have an appointment with Cristal. She is very knowledgable and helped my shoulder alignment a lot. Truthfully, I am feeling sore afterwards, but my range of motion and flexibility are improved. I realized after I had left that I forgot to collect my jewelry after I got dressed. It was unusual that there was no front desk staff to assist, however, everyone was so helpful in keeping it safe and making sure I could come back to pick it up the same afternoon!

It’s rip off where they just caress you with a cotton ball and oil. If you are looking For scalp massage or facial be prepared to be tickled and even aroused. They keep saying it is from India and done in traditional way. There is not relief if you just spray and apply oil with a feather touch. Too pricey and weird scheduling system.

I love this place and I would recommend it to everyone who is looking for a great experience . I have been here couple of times so far and every time , I was able to get customized & very satisfactory service. They have a good mix of massages including Ayurvedic ones that helps in relieving stress , eliminating toxins and restores our sense of well being. Overall awesome spa !!

I referred my mom here as I had a massage here in the past and had a good experience. I had her call ahead of time to ask them if she would have deep tissue and hot stones included in her massage and they said yes. She booked an appointment with Crystal and had the worst experience. About 20min into her massage she asked if she could have a deeper/more firm pressure and Crystal said that she was already doing that. She was very rude and told my mom “if you don’t like the massage you can go somewhere else”. As she was upset and in pain she finished the massage, hoping it would get better, and it did not. My mom paid for her appointment, $214 left as she was very upset. When she got home she was in tears and more pain than when she went in. I called after to speak with someone to see if there was anything they could do to maybe discount the service since she didn’t get the service that she had scheduled for, since she called and specifically asked about those services and was told they could do them. The front desk lady said to me “well I know damn well that Crystal is our best therapist and certified” even thought I wasn’t asking if she was certified, I was just seeing what they could do to help make the situation better, and they would not. I was very nice on the phone, I was just trying to help my mom who was in pain, and I got no where. Overall very upset by the situation and will not be referring anyone else in the future.

I signed up for a membership last month, very excited to invest in my self-care. Less than 2 hours prior to my appointment, I received an email sent out to their mailing list saying everyone needed to reschedule their appointments. (No apology; no acknowledgement of any inconvenience.) This isnt acceptable business practice to me, so I phoned and emailed them to cancel my membership. Their membership policy is month to month, cancel anytime. This morning I was charged a membership renewal fee. Truly, what an awful experience.

I was disappointed in the business practices at Soma. I had a gift certificate I received 2 years ago for a 60 minute massage that stated it “never expires”. There was nothing stating the monetary value on the certificate but when I went to use it recently they charged me an additional $36

I showed up to my confirmed appointment and there was a sign on the door saying there is no front desk staff but the therapist would greet me at the door when ready. I waited for thirty minutes and nobody showed up. I called the office, left messages, and even emailed inquiring what happened. I have yet to receive a response. There is new ownership and things do not appear to be going well.

I received a massage by Brent & disagree with the positive review I relied on. Unfortunately he lacked technical skill. A massage should be effective enough to affect change on muscles. A good practitioner works to help reset what is overused & shortened. It was not of value for $118. The gratuity is included which I see now is a deterrent to earning it.

Overall I really like soma in general, I’ve had great facials there. I had my first massage experience and it was the weirdest experience. I booked an appointment with Tara, she asked me about my problem areas and the kind of pressure I liked and I was answering her questions but I guess they weren’t detailed enough? Maybe they were short answers but those were my answers I didn’t have anything else to add and then she told me I seemed agitated and that she felt uncomfortable.., which really threw me off and actually made me feel really uncomfortable. It just got worse from there and I almost walked out. I was really looking forward to my massage but asked her if she even still wanted to massage me and she said yes so we continued with it. The massage itself was good but I couldn’t stop thinking about the situation the entire time which was not relaxing. Afterwards I was trying to be as warm as possible but it just seemed like nothing I said was good enough and she had someone else check me out at the end. I will continue to go to Soma because I do like it but sadly don’t see myself booking with Tara again.

I am absolutely in LOVE with this spa! The prices are super good especially for the quality of services offered, and they have a handful of complementary or super affordable add-on services that really round out the experience! They also offer medical massage and they take insurance for that, so thats really nice for those who have pain due to medical reasons. The girl at the front desk is such a bright and friendly human so she brings an added level of enjoyment to the whole experience. I went in to have my first deep tissue massage and honestly... without sounding too cliche it was low-key magic. Ive had a decent number of normal massages in my life but this massage therapist was very clearly incredible at her craft, because I havent felt pain relief like that in my entire life. (And I have scoliosis so the pain is literally always there.) A word to the wise tho, deep tissue massages apparently release stored toxins from your muscles -i did not know this- and those toxins can cause some major dizziness. So drink a bunch of water before and after!

Brent was amazing! I had the 90 minute massage and it was a perfect blend of deep tissue (really good pressure) and relaxation. I would highly recommend for the experience and the price was right!

My fiancé and I did the 60-minute couples massage. My advice: choose 90 minutes. I wish I did! Highly knowledgeable and professionally trained staff, very clean environment too. You can tell they care about your well-being. 10/10

I liked being able to secure an appointment on short notice. Front desk person was very friendly and accommodating. I also like that they dont charge extra for things like hot towels and CBD oils ... and my therapist used quite a few hot towels during my 60 minute session. John Price gave a fantastic deep tissue massage -- wish Id signed up for 90 minutes!

I received the most amazing prenatal massage from Anya today. The spa was clean, quiet and relaxing. Anya used a nice side-laying technique rather than an uncomfortable pregnancy pillow. She had great touch and was so professional with her draping. I felt so relaxed when I was done. Hopefully I didnt snore during my session :)

I love Soma so much I got a membership. Now instead of just telling myself I should get a massage every month, I will actually do it! All of the massages Ive had here have been amazing. Its a beautiful spa and the staff is great. I would highly recommend supporting this local business.

Good service and friendly staff. But it’s about a 50/50 chance on whether I walk out feeling good. With my massage today it felt good. But when I lied down for bed, I could hardly move my legs because my hips hurt so bad. Fortunately I have physical therapy later this week, so I can get things sorted out then.

First time getting a massage in Oregon and this was a great experience.Place is clean and very peaceful.Staff is nice. I was informed that I could pay with HSA.Abby is a pro and the entire experience was wonderful. I will definitely return.

I would highly recommend a pre-natal massage at Soma with Aura! I was specifically looking for somewhere that offered a pregnancy pillow so you could lay on your stomach (rather than laying on your side) and it was an incredible experience! Ill be back

I tried 3 times to get a gift certificate to Soma. Twice I went to the building & even though the sign said open, the doors were locked & no one available to help me. I tried using the website & attempted several times to electronically sign to purchase & it never worked. Too bad I had to find another spa.

Got a massage yesterday at Soma Wellness Spa and it was DIVINE. I felt so rested relaxed and afterwards - I would highly recommend this spa to everyone. Its one of the few spas in Portland that offers Ayurvedic inspired massages!! And I love that.

Made an appointment for a Mother’s Day for a facial/massage package with my friend but when I arrived and checked in was scolded for not having my proof of vaccination. I was asked to wear a mask during treatment and was guilted by the team member for trying to receive services. I’m vaccinated and have worked in the medical field for 15 years and I will not be returning to this business for future spa treatment.

I’ve been here a few times now and it’s always amazing! Excellent practitioners, great variety of services, and a nice space. The shirodhara is particularly life-changing!

Brent, my massage therapist, was very attentive to my preferences and comfort. Brent started with firm pressure on my hips, which centered me for a very relaxing massage. Its just what I needed. Thank you!Radiance, my Esthetician, followed my massage with a skin regimen that left my skin feeling soft and glowing. I really loved the Kansa wand and Microderm treatments. They were fabulous! Ive never been inside a spa before today and I cant believe what Ive been missing. The whole experience was so relaxing. The space is clean and calming and the staff went out of their way to make me comfortable. Highly recommend Soma!

Abby is the best massage therapist I have seeked treatment from. Superb deep tissue massage when I need it. I have lots of lower back pain and she is the only one that seems to help. Highly recommend Abby. Works great with my insurance company as well.

Abbys professionalism is above reproach. She is kind, friendly, and peaceful natured. However, she is no weakling. Abby is strong, thorough and exceptional at her craft. She is knowledgeable and skilled at healing chronic muscle tension, releaving stress and creating relaxation. I consider her a trusted friend that releaves my chronic pain and provides a safe place for healing and comfort. Thank you Abby!

Soma is my go to spot for massage therapy! I usually book with Abby. Good location, easy parking, professional staff, and well-maintained massage studio. 5 stars :)
