Go here on second Friday. I wouldn’t say the cocktails or service are standout but the vibe and atmosphere of this place feels like a muted, dark, soulful and renaissance mashup of a dive and a lounge. This musician’s voice was so unexpected and sultry that I had to follow up and do a deep dive into who he was. Instant lifelong fan, 11/10 highly recommend if for nothing but the music scene alone! Also they serve coffee during daytime business hours.
Saturday night. Security guard with a goofy man bun likes to stand in the center of a PACKED body to body dance floor and shove anyone who gets close to (not even touch) him. Myself and a few others went across the street to Bar35 and all the staff there was much nicer. Better music too. On our way out of Manifest, had a quick chat with bouncer up front. Hilarious local guy. The bartenders were all fun and the drinks were good, just wish management would pay more attention to some of the bad apples ruining the night for patrons.
Manifest is conveniently located in the Arts District/Chinatown Honolulu and is the best of its kind. During the evening, it is a cocktail bar & night club, and during the day its a cafe with delicious coffee & breakfast menu and lots of working space. I love the atmosphere of both, and recommend to try this gem out if you havent already!
Vibe is chill and cool music - bar offers variety; friends mentioned the food is good. Like the people and DJ - a great place to listen to music, chill with friends. Plus, local talent from spoken word and musicians perform here first Monday of the month and a wonder pool room open nightly for those who love to play. Great talents like Poetic Voice of the Street and Fyah Empress Stone and more greats… must visit Manifest!!
Love it here! Amazing coffee and my favorite place to work during the day, great cocktails and always a great dance party at night!
When I lived in Hawaii from 11-15, Manifest was my favorite spot in Hawaii. Came back in January and went to Manifest, and it was largely the same. Used to think they made the best old fashioned on the island too but they told me when I went this time that they dont make them at night anymore. Was really bummed. Still a good spot and my buddy I brought had a good time but kind of put a damper on the night for me.
Really good drinks! Reminded me of some from back in California. The space was clean, the bartender was friendly and she made the drinks good. I had a Mai Tai while my wife had a Titos and sprite with lime. I would definitely go back to try out more drinks. My wife said she would go back for some coffee and they do make coffee drinks as well.
Only been here in the daytime, but I love the vibe inside. Cocktails and coffee are quite good as well. A place I come back to if Im in the area.
Me and my girl came here for a night she was kicked out while I was in the bathroom when I went to go look for her she didn’t have her purse and they wouldn’t let her go back in . When I went back in for her purse the manager said it wasn’t there I tried asking the bar tender I left my number luckily she left her phone in it so we were able to track it next morning I went back told them that the location is pinging there and the manager still saying it’s not there while the bar tender asks for the description and brought it out there was 400$ of cash first thing that comes out the bartenders mouth is we didn’t look inside …. As you can imagine the cash was gone If you come here don’t bring a purse they’ll set you up and bring cash keep it in your pocket bouncers are cool just them rest of the people inside are sketchy.
Bought 2 drinks in separate transactions and left a tip for each. Then the next day I get notifications that they charged WAY more to my card than the tip I added on was. Do not pay in card if you go here
Stopped in on two separate occasions and was not disappointed. The crafted cocktails were excellent and even better was the drink prices, very reasonable. The bartenders we encountered were all friendly, helpful and artisans at crafting well portioned cocktails even when deviating from the pre drafted menu list.Atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. Wish I was a local (from the mainland) but you cant win them all
This place is great! Its a smaller dive bar but feels bigger than it is. They usually have live bands and restrooms are available. The mixologists really know what theyre doing here! Youll be amazed at how flexible and creative the servers can be when making your cocktails. We were mesmerized watching the creations as they were poured to perfection. I really enjoyed having a few drinks here and listening to the live music.
You must come here if youre bar hopping in China Town! Great DJ and vibes on a Saturday night. I only had a shot so I cant speak on food/ drinks.
The Chicken Parmesan meatball panini is seriously one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in ages. The drinks and the staff are also fantastic. If I lived in the area, I’d definitely go there all the time.
Beware the young asaian bartender with the long straight hair. she took a 50 and never made chnage and called bouncer when I asked about it. check the video tape if you doubt it.
Great spot for quality coffee, but dont expect to have a drop coffee option. Options seem to be limited to espresso drinks, though a pour-over might be available. Would be great if they had a larger selection of pastries & small bites, but the blueberry muffins which were there on my visit were fantastic! Great spot, definitely recommend.
By far the worse bar I have been to in Hawaii, I got denied service with my 3 Hispanic friends(female) after asking her if they had a music box (like most bars have). She decided to tell us that the last call was done at 11:15 am and ignored us until We had someone else order drinks for us. Very disappointed.
I would suggest this place to the younger crowd or the people who want to go out with friends or that new someone and take them dancing. The service is fast even during peak hours. Closes late for those who are night dwellers. Its one of the inner city night clubs that most likely dont attract tourists but where youll find locals and service members. Its not one of the fancier night club that you might find in Waikiki. More along the lines of the rustic vibe but with good music, dancing and alcohol. Now the parking is street, if you can find one, and a lot a few minutes down the street. Pay to park of course. The neighborhood might be a bit unnerving to some but it is safe. Just remember to stay with a group or friend for safe measures. And any driving service can pick you up right outside the venue so theres no need to go to far from the crowd. For those wanting a little night life of fun, dancing and responsible drinking this is a great place to head to.Mr. Carlyle
Horrible service ... ignored just sitting there waiting for bartender service..he walked away from us ...
Big fan for years. Solid spot all around. Great escape from the drudgery of daytime Chinatown for tea, cocktail, or lunch. Music is usually fire, too.
Come early for socialization with the bar crew. Nice cocktails bit a really great selection of liquors for those wanting their own off menu choices.
Cool space and cheap drinks but the music and atmosphere wasnt to my take. I’m mid-twenties but this may have been for an even younger crowd
Good club to go to, not too crowded on Saturday compared to Friday
I was refused service for no reason by one of the bartenders. I stod at the bar for a long time and she just ignored me and took everyones orders except mine. When I tried to ask what the problem was she just rolled her eyes. I had no clue what I did wrong and wish I would have gotten an explanation. When I talked to my friends the next day some of them had the same experience. I’ve never had this happen to me before and the whole thing was just really strange. The other bartenders were very nice and helpful though.
Came here for the aloha comedy festival and it was great. Nice venue and good comics. The drink selection is solid. And we got the meatball sub with furikake chips that was also good. All around enjoyed the vibe here!
The bouncer decided to throw me out when I girl dressed as a man pushed me front on the way back to the bar and when I asked why I was thrown out, he said because you were acting a scene. I asked the girl/guy what was the problem and he got the bouncer to kick me out. I was 100% sober and the Indian guy at the front wouldn’t let me back in. Be careful if you go here because they allow feminist to control everything.
This place gets downnn bartenders are super laid back and you can tell they know what theyre doing, coming from a bartender myself. The dj was spinning some mix music seemingly, pleasing everybody in the crowd. When the jams were right everybody was giggin though! Bouncers were super chill and I like they had the other bar connected with food and different drinks. Thanks for the Shot of fernet at the end of the night dude, made for a smooth ride home!
Great bar on Friday/Saturday, drink are well priced and the bar staff is efficient. The venue layout needs some work but its always a good time.
Good music and dance floor. Joined to a video game bar. Also has a third adjoined area with great lighting and a more quiet bar atmosphere for conversation with someone you might like to get to know better.
Its a great place to go for young ones and young at hearts, past meets present...cool music every 2nd Fridays, also connected to Royal arcade that can remind you of the past...Could be a bigger place or better location for parking...
Relax and have one of the best dirty chai in town. Nice atmosphere of an old brick loft style bar building with rotating artwork on the walls and friendly service. Ive only been here during the day so I cant comment on the night life aspect but the whiskey and bourbon selection over the bar is pretty decent.
Came on a good Friday the atmosphere was very cool and the waiter was very courteous and the music descent but I gave it 3 stars because I didnt like their Hennessey to Coke ratio which favors the Coke. Other than that everything else was ok.
Its hip, its moving, its confident! Theres a fantastic selection spread and a familiar community keeping it comfortable. This is definitely the hipster side of the building and absolutely a welcoming one.A variety of seating, including benches and bar stools. Gendered bathrooms open to folks inside. Wheelchair accessible (though the bar is the typical height). Bar set up is sensorily quiet, events geared toward the open dance floor will boost that several notches.
We had some high tier cocktails and some late night eats at The Manifest. We gorged on some bacon wrapped dates and bourbon barbecue meatballs and for drinks, I had something fruity with tequila. Wifey had something purple with a tea aftertaste. Cant remember the names of the cocktails but both were delicious.
What they do here, they do right. Coffee is amazing, whiskey selection is unbelievable, and tea is old school with but jars of loose leaf, proper strainers, individually prepared. Plus, the space is airy industrial. Very happy we found this place, will absolutely come again.
They are literally racist and will deny you entry based solely on your skin color. Do not go here!!!! The security guards literally profile you and decide if they wanna let you in. I didn’t say “goodnight” to one of the guards and he labeled me as an “angry black woman” and refused to let me in.They have no managers or supervisors present at night and hire the worst security service. It’s absolutely ridiculous take your money to another establishment if you’re a person of color.
My first time ever drinking! My friend took me here and I am sure that I prefer my alcohol sweet and fruity. I got the pineapple rum. So it was a bit strong, and drinking alcohol, I just think you drink it like you would juice or something, but I had to take sips of this. My friend helped me out! This was my 2nd drink. My 1st drink down by downbeat diner was a surprise! I dont drink, but there is always a 1st for everything! The atmosphere had a cool japanese era theme. Lovely place!
Drinks, sub-par. DJ… equivalent to a 12 year old with an iTunes account. Absolutely 0 rhythm and no sense of how to transition between songs. The dj actually excelled at ruining every beat. This review is after their 3rd shot. Don’t let the long line outside fool you, go to tchin tchin.
Its was alright. Drink selection was good but the bartenders favored the females that were dressed in less. The music was off but picked up after the night went on. Ill go back but might pick somewhere else before I start here for the night.
Great environment! Music is always on point, game section is a plus too.
Terrible. Kicked us out for no reason. Some security guy said we were walking sideways so we had to go, but we think it was so they could let others in & charge more covers. We then just walked across the street to Bar 35 (no cover charge) & had a great time for the rest of the night.Over hyped spot, 1/5 for a club or bar.
Super easy to order and pay online, then do curbside pick up or if you live downtown, get delivery! Manifest has our favorite mixed drinks (try the Woody or the Day By Day), and sliders and paninis. My friends and I would love going down there for pau hana whiskey and look forward to doing that again when its safe!
These folks care about coffee, their customers, and their community. If youve just moved here, this is the place to frequent, as youll get to rub elbows with artists, creatives, hair folks (theres a beauty school around the corner), and others who love Hawaii and are actively engaged in building a thriving sense of community. Also, its a bar and club at night and on the weekends. The whiskey selection is on point!
Terrible bar. I ordered a Jameson on the rocks, figuring I would start with something I knew and then branch out. To order I had to yell my order to the waitress 3 times before she heard me because the music was so loud. Finally she heard me and I got my drink. What I was expecting: Jameson with the large cube ice cube like my friends got in their old fashions. What I got: a cheap plastic cup with overflowing ice cubes and a tiny bit of Jameson in the bottom. For a self proclaimed whiskey bar I figured they could handle pouring whiskey and putting an ice cube in it. Apparently not. I love whiskey and have had a lot of it. But I will never have a drink of any kind from that bar again.
This place honestly feels like 3 different spots owned by the same restaurant group depending on when you go. Great café if you want to chill and get some work done during the day, v impressive cocktail selection for a low key mid-week pau hana, and great music for the turn up Thurs-Sat...just make sure you know what youre getting into depending on time and day
Definitely a fun place on Thursday night: thats Quiz night🤗. Good drinks, good food, a good time🤠🤙.
I would give it more stars if I were a true whiskey drinker. Menu only offers toast-things. Liked the smoked salmon on toast with capers and pickled onions, though. But for a whiskey bar, is expect more noshes.
I enjoy the relaxed, spacious atmosphere. I like to have iced tea in the day and after work cocktails. I had a fizzy green tea drink that was really good, I cant stop thinking about it💛🙂
Most impressive selection of Whisky, Bourbon, Rye, Whiskey, and Scotch Ive ever seen. Truly bewildering. If you get lucky youll ask for something they cant do a full pour of and get a freebie, as I did with some lovely Highland Park 12.
Great place with tons of whisky. Creative cocktails, and good banh mi. One of my favorite places to meet friends for something casual in Chinatown.
Not worth going on weeknights. No music, disengaged bartender, shuts down an hour before posted closing time.
Cool vibe inside, but the DJ kept playing slow jams/hip hop. At 11pm on a Friday they need to pick it up...
We must’ve come on a off night. Staff was not very attentive and the music made me sleepy. We asked for the check after open drink and the bartender placed it down and walked away. Didn’t even say anything to us.
It was ok, but you must buy $20 to use ur card at the bar. Has a small dance floor but its relaxed. Just has very poor ventilation.
Manifest gets packed! It is a cute bar across from one of my favorite restaurants. We went to kill time until seats opened up and I found my favorite bitters. Mozart Chocolate. They were in a drink called Lefthand. I fell in love. I found I had to keep stopping by for a Lefthand during my travels in Honolulu. They have a great whiskey menu. Hope to visit again!
Incredibly cool and welcoming place in the rapidly manifesting blight of Chinatown, the name is appropriate. Refreshingly fair prices as well as free WiFi make this not only a place to return regularly but as a high-recommendation to my friends and associates.
Its a great chill place to meet a friend for coffee (nice selections) or a drink ie cocktail. Great vibe simple welcoming atmosphere, cheers mate!
Love the karaoke they have
Staff here is very kind and the place looks lovely. The coffee is really good as well 🌻
Great bar in Chinatown. I come here on Tuesdays for trivia night where they have beer and cocktail specials. Great vibe and nice staff
We were there tonight and have never recieved such rude and unhelpful attitude from a bartender. The whole vibe was pretentious.
Been a fan for years. It was my end of the night spot after mosh pits at Downbeat. Great bartenders & great DJs
CHOOSE THE RIGHT BARTENDER AND YOUR GOOD. BOUNCERS ARE WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT AS FAR AS HOW MUCH THEY VALUE THE CUSTOMER. MUSIC IS THE BEST BY FAR. IMO IF THE DJS WERE BAD. THE SPOT WOULD BENEFIT ON LOCATION/POPULARITY THEN QUality/ standard.....if its a popular spot..People will come regardless no matter what the standard
Great nightclub to have fun on Fridays or the weekends. No entrance fee or cover charge
Great selection of whiskeys and other fancy drinks. DJ on Friday night was really great. Lots of space
Awesome drinks and aps. Great atmosphere. One of my favs in Honolulu.
Awesome time and good fun would definitely recommend if you want to have an awesome time and good fun. Easily one if the most awesome places with good fun. Awesome time and good fun.
I really enjoy the atmosphere and location. I intend to go again later in the day to see how the feel changes, but I appreciate the early morning calm Cafe feel.
Great place. I love the coffee, ambiance, and drinks here. Excellent whisky selection.
What a nice place people can chill talking drinking a coffee or something a little stronger if they like great service 💪👋
Great selection of drinks, from cocktails and beers to coffee. A chill place to grab something to sip on during the day
Awesome place to stop in! Food, coffe, and drinks are really good! The night life at this place is always a blast as well!
This place has the best music!! The dance floor is small, but it wasnt crowded while we were there.
Good coffee, but like most places downtown they dont keep consistent hours, so its hard to get there and get a cup
I attend on nights where Im performing and networking with other Creatives.
Great coffee (and Baristas) during the day and a super fun place to dance at night!! Love this place!
Cool place but way too busy and I caught covid. Will not be back
Best whiskey sour I have had yet. Great service. Chill vibes. Five stars!
Terrific drinks! Wonderful place.
Cool atmosphere, pretty good music. And the drinks where good. Try the meat balls.
Eh....nice people though, Id say go for the teas and coffee not the cocktails but they do their own barreling
Went for a simple coffee, nice vibe inside, decor was lovely.Mood was kind of dead with everyone sitting around of laptops.
Nice ambiance and music
Trivia night was fun, but eat before you arrive. I would have laughed at the sliders if I hadnt paid $10 for them.
Drinks were good but the music left much to be desired
Has live music and trivia most nights. Is fun with a great selection of drinks and food. Can get louder and louder throughout the night.
Great whiskey selection at moderate prices. Very good cocktail list
Great place! The drinks where Top shelf. An great comedy.
By far the best place to drink and dance in Chinatown. The music is always good here
I visit Oahu about once every year, but I always make sure to stop by here at least once. Great coffee and great, friendly staff!
Eli, our bartender was great! Made the yummiest cranberry amaretto with splash of lemon.
First drink...hapa dl shot espressoThen a. Scotch monkey shoulder & then I end it a corona 😎 cool

Awesome music and great staff. Make this place a must still if youre in the area.
Really fun bar and nightclub on Fridays, despite the fact i keep running into my ex here. Leave me alone Sean!
This oldster thought The Manifest was a delightful place for mid afternoon cocktails in Chinatown. Excellent mixologist.
Amazing fresh toasts, espresso is thoughtfully prepared and the vibe funky comfy excellent!
Drinks not too expensive, nice crowd, decent DJ, good staff
Very cool vibe. Dig the selection of spirits wowwww they have ultra anejo!!!!
Cafe with yummy snack by day, amazing whiskey and drink selections (with a pool table and amazing music) by night.
Drinks are expensive and bartenders were unable to make a decent Cosmo.
Great drinks and staff (especially bartender Sam) are amazing.
We enjoyed the happy hour and nice relaxed atmosphere.
Very relaxing environment and the bartender is excellent. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!
Drinks are a bit pricey, but it has good atmosphere.
Awesome bar, awesome staff. Always fun! Thanks Brandon and J!!
Great choice of drinks, good music and awesome vibes.
I love Manifest in the morning when they first open. It is quiet and you can get homework done.
Great venue for drinks and live music!
Fun place, great service. The cappuccino was delicious.
Spaced out seating but still nice ambience for the holidays.
The DJ was off the chain drinks were good.
This place is AMAZING! The dj deserves a shutout because that man can spin a PARTY!!!!
Mood is great!!! Choice of music, awesome..and I enjoyed the food :-)
Great place to party at night and grab coffee the next morning
A cool spot with cool people working there
Good place for a coffee, tea or cocktail pitstop when in China Town.
Partied so hard I sweated 10 lb off. Loved it here.
Not that many paces serve artful cocktails in Hawaii. This place is one of them!
Interesting drinks, fun atmosphere, and trivia what more could you want?
Idk it is was fun but they make racially motivated decisions
Stupid. They fine you for dancing. 2000 dollars, what a joke
Venue is smaller than pictures make it look, service is slow and its all around a pretty mediocre night scene.
Great drinks and a cool atmosphere.
Wonderful art and service, the people working there were so fun to chat with
Good music. Good time to bring some friends!
Love this place! The best coffee/late in Honolulu!
Not really a day time coffee place, though they try to be.
Cool looking venue, live music on Mondays
Love this place!! Simply the best coffee in Honolulu!!
The barista was so rude and condescending. Never going back.
Some delicious cocktails and amazing staff
Guinness and old fashion bourbon!
Cool place and great crew. Right in the heart of Chinatown.
Really great drinks and cocktails.
