We had a bachelorette party for a friend here. Awesome! We all had a blast! Good cocktails, the drag show was super, and dancing afterwards to great music selection! Thanks for the fun time. Well definitely be back! But maybe turn the AC down lower! We were sweating big time.
Fun place to hang with friends and meet people. Although, this business does allow smoking inside. I did not care for the smoke, its a rather large space so the smoke was not terrible but still unpleasant. Besides that, the people are friendly, the space is maintained and cleaned.
Im about to read yall from the Sorcerers Stone to the Deathly Hallows, so you might as well take a seat.First of all, you cant just slap a stupid pun on the name of a Huntsville classic (i.e., the ICONIC Vieux Carre) and expect people to just buy in and spend their money and time. Dont try to ride on other peoples success. The VC is dead, so leave it. You are not the original Huntsville gay club/bar. Its a cheap marketing trick and no one is buying it.Second, if you want a lot of queer folk to come out, you have got to hire an *actual* bartender who can make drinks strong and fast. Becky at Sammy Sleaze and Jodi at Whiskey Bottom (which is a filthy hole for white supremacist fratties to gather if we are being real) are excellent examples. I have waited at least 30 minutes to be served when there are at most 20 people at the bar. GURL. That aint cute.Third, your promoter needs to get some actual talent up in this place. Nothing against my Huntsville queens--gotta love our own community, but no one wants to watch the same 6 queens perform every week. You dont have to book queens from RPDR, but if you want to stand out, you have to book performers that push the envelope. Otherwise, Ill stay at home or take a drive to Bham/Nashville.Fourth, you have got to make this space more inclusive. Dont turn people away for their outfits. Its just a cover for racism and transphobia and no one is here for it. Why not have gender neutral restrooms? It costs you nothing and many people in our community will appreciate it. It also will make this place feel much more like a safe space and much less like a real life Grindr.Fifth, any fourth rate queen can put together a playlist of line dance, bop, bop, line dance, EDM clip, bop. Get some real talent in the DJ booth.Sixth, stop letting people smoke inside. Its gross and the standard has become to have a patio for smokers nowadays. Finally, level ya social media game up. Get whichever old dried up queen has been making your posts off the account and let a millennial take over. And do not ever let whoever has been making your flyers in MS Paint ever make another flyer again. It looks like the design equivalent of macaroni art.All that being said, truly, I am rooting for you. I want to love you Deja, I do. You just gotta work smarter and harder if you want to make it big. But for now, youre just a one star establishment that I cannot justify patronizing.
Every few weeks or months there’s another issue, whether flooding floors, disputes with entertainment or just overall innatentive and rude service. I’ve yet to find anything impressive about this operation for more than a fleeting moment. It doesn’t live up to the name they’re trying to ride on.Go to any other gay bar.
