Shenanigans and Confettis Beach Club

This place is so aggressively racist towards their black patrons. I am a black female that suffers from alopecia so I decided to wear a leopard print, satin head scarf to this establishment (not a durag or a bandana which violate dress code). No where in their long list of rules does it say that headscarves are forbidden. Upon entering, I was told that my leopard print scarf is associated with gang activity and I had to remove it. It was also implied that I was probably hiding a gun when they went to check my very small purse that cant even fit a gun. When I entered, I put my scarf back on because I was assured by multiple bartenders and the DJ that my scarf does not break the clothing rules. I was later stopped by a security guard who yelled at me, accused me of breaking rules and aggressively told me that if I disobeyed again Id be kicked out. Fed up with being talked to so aggressively, I decided to leave and while leaving I was stopped two more times and aggressively threatened to be banned for simply wearing a leopard print scarf. I am not quick to claim that something is racist but after seeing the way that this establishment is segregated and how I was treated upon entering, I cant help but assume that this interaction was 100% race related. I was accused of having a gun and threatened to be banned for simply wearing a leopard print head scarf. I left in tears because I have never been treated so disrespectfully as a woman, ever.Id recommend for all to avoid this establishment regardless of race.

Shenanigans specifically is where I like to go locally that is enjoyable to go and have some drinks and have a good night if the country western style night club scene is for you. I like watching all the line dances and various others dance(I can’t lol) usually some kind of drink specials and if you want to change it up a little bit walk to the back and enter a more R&B/ Rap type vibe with darker scene with lights and separate bars.

They dont update there website at all. Like cant wear slides in the summer like come onI get clubs dont want no bum coming in thereAs if they have a good rep rated 3 stars

I wish i could give negative starts. They kick you out for having fun and they will tell you that you’re over intoxicated. Go to fox its way better.

NOTHING like it was 10 years ago. Absolutely a freakin joke! I put 10 dollars in the tip jar at confetti side to play “real rap” not Katy Perry! He never played! When I was here at 21 this place was packed with real R&B music, the Dj they had tonight was GARBAGE, Total joke and a huge day care now! Totally disappointed in this place! Bunch of teenagers! Hispanic dj with white cap backwards! 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Came here for my vacation since it was close to my land. The atmosphere is nice and drinks made here were great but the only thing I didn’t like was the security telling you’re not around here because I never seen you here before are you selling drugs after I pulled out a band of cash. I didn’t know he was being serious or just playing but it must be nice being welcomed like I have a big baller status

Racist! Nothing wrong with my boyfriends ID he is well over the age of 21 (28 yrs )they have this one caucasian girl with glasses that works there and she likes to turn people of color down frequently even if you have a valid ID. Doesn’t matter if your in dress code or not. It is purely because he is black with a Mexico driver’s license. I have seen her turn down other people in front of us too (always black) but she will let white girls with expired ID’s in. Very very racist door girl.

I was racially profiled yesterday, they claimed I stole someone purse, which I didn’t, kicked me out.

If you’re looking for a great dance floor then I would 100% recommend coming here. The floor is usually sanded at the beginning of the night, and is extremely long. Great song choices, and good prices on drinks. If you’re looking for a place to dance then I would make the drive!

Awesome place to spend a Thursday night. So far Ive only been to Shenanigans once, but I will definitely become a regular. $1 drinks in the main area and $0.50 drinks in the dance area! Cant beat that. Great music selection; whether you like country, club, or rap they have it all. Diverse crowd and nice bartenders. Plus they have karaoke on Wednesdays!

Not safe at all my friends got a gun pointed at his chest in the parking lot for a mistaking the wrong man as his friend and simply walking up and asking for a high five. DO NOT GO HERE!!! BANKRUPT THEM TILL THEY GET BETTER SECURITY. I watched two cops search a young mans car for no reason and let him go shortly before this. What are their priorities

A little dirty but the atmosphere makes up for it. Awesome drink selection. Super sick they have two different rooms depending on the vibe you want. Super fun to go with friends 10/10 recommend

Apparently shorts without belt loops aren’t allowed? Which it never even said that. Literally I’m not even wearing athletic shorts.also got sent out for wearing a solid black shirt, ok? I seen so many people with a solid shirt. Yet I get sent out.

Went recently and I never got kicked out before. First time it happens and they kick me out because I’m drinking a red cup of water. WATER. Don’t recommend and the music is trash.

Great prices, dancing, music with a fantastic sound system and with lots of pool tables!!! Different options all in one location!!! Loads of great fun!!! Wish we had a place just like this in Houston and in San Marcos TX!!!! No where else even comes close!!! I would also like to add that I always feel safe at Shenanigans- their Security is on point!!!

Good price on drinks, big dance floor. Recommend staying away from the Confettis place, there is always a fight in there. The staff is wonderful, the paid security guards - not so much.. if you have to deal with them be prepared to just be harassed, threatened, and scared away. The one constable falls into the category of shady cops so if you have to deal with him, film it.

My wife and I went early for a date night. She got in free, I paid $5 cover. Domestic longnecks were $1 each. We noticed that the DJ adjusted the playlist to suit us as we were the only ones dancing, went heavier on country. Left about 9pm, before the crowds picked up. Should have tried this long ago.

Shenanigans is a nice country dance area and you wont find a better deal on drinks! Confettis is way more risqué, and lately the DJ has been going downhill. Worth the trip, but dont get your hopes up. And bring a friend/be safe. Theres definitely the occasional fight- though the bouncers do a decent job keeping things in line.

I just wish there was better lighting at the tables. I got kicked out drinking the wrong cup. Even after spitting it out mid-drink, i just got kicked out

It always stank!! Smell like tobacco, and you leave smelling like tobacco. Second hand smoke anyone?! They have to many rules coming in, I really see nothing wrong with a guy wearing a tank top to the club or non gang related bandana or glasses. Cant even wear cargo short what is that? Music is mostly old, or music you dont really dance to. Yeah the DJs just suck all around. Its only fun if you have friends there but if you are going for the experience dont expect much there!

Its a club full of college students in a small town. if you like line dancing, pole dancing, and dancing on a routinely sticky floor, a bit of pool on the side, and cheap drinks, this is your place. If thats not your idea of a good time, you might want to look elsewhere

One of the best places to go when your bored, mostly if your 21 or above. Fun to dance, and drink with friends. If confettis did not smell like weed this would be 5 stars.

Whent for the first time, the night before Halloween for a costume contest. Lots of cool people, decent prices on drinks and played pool all night. Overall great experience.

Unfortunately the dress code is not updated on the website or even on the other side of the entrance so they will kick you out. And no refunds.

The staff guards follow blacks around and they look us up and down and sometimes will not let us in. If our pants sag,but you see young college boys walking around in flipflops and cutt off wrangler geans. I have had friends putt out of club for no reason...this is how they do the local black men.who just wont to drink and gett a few numbers from the ladys. And dance and have fun.i glade we close to H town.

We drove all the way from Missouri to help with search and rescue. After working a week straight in Houston we came up to get our boat fixed (closest available marine mechanic) and head back south. All we had were the cloths on our back and they wouldnt let us in because my husband didnt have belt loops. I guess Texas pride doesnt stretch to this establishment. To think we probably even helped families of the employees. Never going to this place again!!!

Rude bouncers. When trying to leave and pay the bill kept pushing us out. Unreasonable beyond measures. Bar tenders didnt know how to mix drinks either. Use to be the place to hang out, but now is so uptight.

Depending on the DJ in confetties will not play the songs that you request. Its dead on Fridays through the weekend, best to on on Thursdays.

If I could rate this a zero that would be perfect! The new DJ doesn’t know what he is doing. Music isn’t even known. He the only one jamming.. could be the reason why shenanigans went down! No one goes anymore.

Reasonable prices. Dancing space is vast. Great for those that enjoy country and those who love grinding. Drink prices are spectacular.

Never ever, ever, ever start a tab here! Unless you like charges on your card that you didnt do! When you call and try to argue with them they blow it off and say well you were drinking, so how can we say if you didnt authorize it? Total BS.

Bartenders are awesome and can keep up even on slammed nights. Drink specials cant be beat and having two clubs in one is a win win.

It is the best club so far in Texas area. Drinks are the cheapest and great music selections.
