Massage Studio of Kansas City

I’ve only been to the Massage Studio of KC twice, but both times have been phenomenal. The first time I went was to relieve muscle pain from a hard workout. I went in limping and left with no pain whatsoever. Recently I went back for a massage just for relaxation purposes and the massage therapist did a great job.

I had a massage with Aliera and she was amazing! The whole setting was very calming and relaxing. She was able to give me some recommendations to help keep me comfortable until my next appointment. Ill be telling my friends about this place!

Aliera and Madisson were great for our first ever couples massage. The hot stones felt excellent and we both left feeling relaxed and refreshed. Thank you!

My wife and I were initially nervous. We have never had a massage before. Madisson and Mely made the experience very comfortable and relaxing. Personally I have had hundreds of massages all over the world, there isnt a studio Ive ever been to that compares to Massage Studio of KC. The tables are the most comfortable massage tables I have ever been on, and theyre heated and I feel like Im just melting in the table. The vibes here are unmatched, the feng shui is on point, and every therapist here is knowledgeable and compassionate. Im so grateful to have found this place!

Finding a massage therapist in a new city can be overwhelming, but I am extremely happy with my spur of the moment choice to schedule here! Kaitlin made me extremely comfortable and did a great job balancing therapeutic massage and relaxation for my massage. The space was clean, calm, and smelled incredible! Highly recommend. I’ve been getting massages for about 20 years and this was definitely one of the best! Joshua did an amazing job and i absolutely loved the room and the environment in there. Went in for a 90min deep tissue with cupping and will be coming back!

Aliera was fantastic - by far the best massage I have ever had (I opted for deep tissue with hot rocks & CBD oil. My ridiculously tight & stressed muscles were so relaxed after, Aliera was exactly what I needed).I was really impressed with the studio, it was beautiful, clean, and so peaceful. The instructions on where the park, check-in, and where to go were clear and easy to follow.Overall, I can’t say enough good things and will recommend Aliera to everyone.

Visiting from out of town and looking for a little chill time. The facility is situated in a very unique building and they created a very enviting environment upon entering. My tech, joshua, was so professional and proficient. I rarely fall asleep, but i totally did, he was that good! Scheduled a massage for my son, not in the same room, but the same time and they were able to accomodate. I was in the room they do couples massages and it was so serene and beautidully peaceful. High ceilings, and beautifully appointed lighting.I highly reccommend, you will not be disappointed, the whole scheduling amd followup was impressively easy and thorough.

Garden was absolutely fantastic. Honestly the best massage Ive ever had. The pressure was perfect and none of her movements were rushed. Just hands down a wonderful massage. I will absolutely book again but really wish we could do 2 hours or more. If thats possible, please let me know!

A couple years ago, my massage therapist moved out of state, so I had to find a new place to go. I went to several massage therapists around the KC metro to find a suitable replacement.Massage Studio KC is my favorite place my far! They offer several types of massages (standard massage therapy, reiki, couples massage, lymphatic draining) and add-ons (cupping, foot scrubs, face masks, and more).They have a super professional and courteous staff. You cant pick a bad massage therapist here.My personal recommendation is Joshua; hes top notch!

I love this place so much. So far I’ve had 2 massages here, one from Nick and one from Joshua. They were both amazing and exactly what I needed! It’s so easy to book appointments online, and because I’m not a planner, I booked last minute for both massages and had no problem finding an appointment. They gave great detailed instructions on how to get there and it was very easy to find. I’ll definitely be coming back, probably at least 1x month for the foreseeable future!

Oh my gosh, I received a craniosacral session from Madisson. I was skeptical about craniosacral but wanted to give it a try. Idk what she did, but I felt like I was floating! So many releases during it in areas of tension I didnt even know I had! I came out of it in this meditative state, feeling looser and more at ease than I think Ive ever felt before! A week later and Im still feeling good! I cannot recommend her enough! Id give her 6 stars if I could!

Paula was amazing. Like the atmosphere was amazing and relaxing. She kept lines of communication open during the entire session. Im most definitely going back.

Paula was incredible! I got an hour and a half massage and she maintained great pressure throughout the entire duration. I like to gauge a good massage by if I fall asleep, and I definitely did. Highly recommend!

Had a massage with Joshua. I explained the issues I was having and he addressed them directly while still having time to get through a full massage. He explained the anatomical structures that were giving me issues, the movement that was most likely causing them, and some exercises/stretches to do to mitigate recurrence. One of the best overall experiences I’ve had. Highly recommend his services.

I have had a great experience with both Paula and Madisson here. The massages were awesome. Paula is very knowledgeable about massage and Reiki, I learned a lot while getting a great massage. I got 90 minutes with Madisson and it was amazing, I was sad when it ended.

I had the pleasure of booking a last-minute 60-minute full-body couples massage, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. My husband and I just got married and wanted to get a couples massage while we were in Kansas City. Daisy and Liz were wonderful and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable from the moment we walked in. The ambiance was soothing, and the massage therapists were highly skilled, ensuring every knot and tension was addressed. The rooms are beautiful and relaxing. Liz was absolutely wonderful! She got knots out in places I didn’t know were even tense and was gentle but effective. This was my first time trying cupping too and I recommend it for anyone with tension. Thank you for the relaxing experience 🥰

Arlene did an incredible job helping my body and mind relax. This massage helped me get a better sleep the same night, which is why I went in.I also want to shout out Liz, who I worked with during the summer. She did a great job as well working through my upper shoulder tightness.Great team!

I became emotionally distressed due to my experience with Massage Studio KC. My appointment (scheduled one week prior) was canceled an hour before scheduled time by management.It was communicated to me that the reason for cancellation was that I had an e____ (what 70% of males get during a massage) during my appointment seven days prior. I said no problem, I can respect the therapists feelings and wishes on the matter. It was also stated by management that having an e____ is an issue.Moving on, company policy states that if I had been the party to cancel an hour before, I would have been charged full cost of service. Massage Studio of KC has no problem charging the customer in FULL if the customer cancels the appointment an hour before appointment. However, the studio has no issue with doing the canceling themselves and then offering no compensation for inconvenience caused in the form of time, lost wages, and in this case, emotional distress for shaming me for having an e____.On top of all of this, management said it was unnecessary and unprofessional of ME to criticize the way they treated me.

Michelle was the best ! I was nervous about trying to find a new massage therapist (i had one in my hometown but i moved 3 years ago and haven’t committed to finding one in KC) but she was so sweet and did the perfect amount of pressure. I work a lot and i get pretty tense so i usually go with pretty deep pressure and Michelle did it just the way i wanted. I felt relax and rejuvenated. Definitely would recommend!

Gina is the best massage therapist I’ve ever been to. She creates a warm and welcoming environment and is very professional.I always leave feeling relaxed.She also does energy work. After going to her for a reiki session I felt much lighter and had more clarity.I highly recommend her!

Liz & Michelle are amazing!My boyfriend booked us a couple massage for our first massage. They were very kind and informative about the whole experience! They made sure to get to know our comfort level before we started and checked in multiple times to see how we were doing. The decor and music made the space feel very inviting, the environment was so soothing and comforting overall. I couldnt have asked for a better first experience! We live out of state but would definitely visit again when we are in the area!

Arlene was amazing. She asked very specific questions to understand how I wanted to feel when we were done, and through our session she was able to deliver. It became obvious through the session that she had an arsenal of techniques under her belt, and knew just the right combination for me.

I just got a massage from Massage Studio of KC for the first time in over a year. They are in the same building but have a newer space on the 2nd or 3rd floor.I had forgotten who I saw originally but I was fortunate enough to randomly pick Arlene this time.I cant say enough positive things. Without any direction from me, here massage pressure was on point the entire massage. This is rare.She asked if I was ok with her using some of her essential oils (I asked her about them and they are not simply essential oils. I cant recall how you labelled what she considers it but I believe its a special blend of hers). I told her to do her thing. Again, this paid off. I was indifferent to essentials oils before today but I have to say, I felt tremendously relaxed minutes later. And I have GAD (Chronic Anxiety).I could go on and on. I plan to immediately make another appointment once Im done writing this.If you dont already have a go to massage therapist and plan to get a massage soon. Book Arlene!If you are somehow disappointed, I give you permission to come back here and scream obscenities at me from the comments section, or wherever petty internet arguments take place these days. Im old.

I got a couples massage for my partner for our anniversary. We had an incredible experience. I’m not new to massage, so saying that this was probably the best massage I’ve ever gotten is significant. Daisy was wonderful. She has an attentive and relaxing demeanor that made the experience really lovely. The space was calming and open. We’ll definitely be back.

The booking and check in process is a breeze, and they keep you informed of what to expect from the moment you schedule right up until your massage begins. Joshua listened to my concerns and asked really great questions to help us figure out what my problem areas were, and what daily habits I have that may be contributing to them. I requested medium pressure and Joshua delivered flawlessly, instinctively adjusting pressure as necessary without me ever having to ask. He was very thorough in the problem areas we discussed, but also honed in on some areas that I didnt even realize were a problem. Finally, he recommended posture corrections, stretches and other methods to help realign my body and alleviate sporadic pain. I absolutely had a top shelf experience and Joshua is absolutely a top shelf massage therapist.

I had a 90 minute prenatal (mama-to-be) massage with Cristina today. I have had a lot of massages and todays was one of the best I have received. I have severe lower back pain, then with pregnancy I have experienced severe hip and glute pain as well. I’ve received a few massages recently to try and provide some relief for this to no avail. Cristina actual provided me relief today, helped me relax, and it feels like she actually got my muscles to kind of release without using too much pressure. She used the perfect amount of pressure and provided an all around great experience. I highly recommend her! My only feedback to potentially improve the experience is adding blackout curtains in the rooms.

I have been receiving weekly massages from Gina for the last 5 years. Shes terrific! Through Ginas good work I have been able to stay very active. I regularly bike, swim , ski, golf and jog. I would not be able to maintain the intensity and duration of my exercising without Ginas professional care. When I get sore from long bike rides, there is nothing better than Ginas massages with hot stones to get me back in the saddle.

I was skeptical of Arlene the first 10 minutes because her technique is unlike any massage I’ve ever had, and I frequently get massages, but I was absolutely impressed with the relief I got….so we immediately booked another massage for the next day. My husband said Mykesha was incredible and was able to work a lot of knots out of his back too. We will definitely be back!

I’ve had four massages here so far, and I gotta say I’m so happy I found this place. I usually go in studio but it’s nice to know that they are mobile. Dona is so nice and have the perfect touch! She have lots of experience and doesn’t mind giving suggestions. She’s uplifting and very passionate about her work. Overall, this is a great place! I got a couples massage for my birthday a couple weeks ago. I booked last minute and was pleased that they had openings the day/time I needed and at a price that I felt was decent compared to other places. The room that the couples massage was in was nice and clean and I had a great experience with Dona. They may not have their own building like other places but I felt the experience was unique and felt more personal. Would definitely recommend!

Me and my husband Gregory are from out of town and recently went to Massage Studio for a 1 hour couples massage. We had 2 ladies do our massages and enjoyed it. Our appointment was at 5 pm. We arrived at 5:02 pm. After using the restroom and undressing, our massages started at 5:10 pm and stopped sharply at 6 pm. Though we definitely enjoyed our massages, it would have been appreciated if we got the full hour of massaging (so ending at 6:10). In their email, they tell you in advance that you can arrive no more than 5 minutes early. I would simply suggest to anyone that decides to use them to make sure you arrive early and perhaps use the restroom before you come to insure that it doesnt cut into your massage time.

Last minute schedule request and they were able to accommodate on a day’s notice. This meant so much since the massage was a birthday gift for my special guy. I was so thankful under such a stressful situation since my other massage with another company was cancelled less than 24hrs before.. One of the best massages I’ve ever had! Wasn’t awkward or uncomfortable like some places can be. The building it’s in is BEAUTIFUL! The room was BEAUTIFUL as well! If we ever come back to Kansas City they will definitely be my first stop!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

My girlfriend booked a couples massage, gua sha facial and hot stones for the both of us. We thought it would be a whole spa morning. While the massage itself was pleasant and the therapists were very professional, the overall experience was a bit disappointing. I did not book the experience myself but was surprised to find after that their website does explicitly state that any add on services do *not* add any time to the booking. I wonder why anyone would want to add-on services knowing this. Personally, I would prefer to go elsewhere and get a full hour of massage and full hour of a facial for the same price or a bit more. The facial was actually just a sheet mask and a light massage so that also very disappointing. If there was a gua sha, I did not feel much of it. I cannot comment on the hot stones because they did not notice this add-on and had to refund it at the end. I’m actually glad they weren’t able to do hot stones because we would have had an even shorter massage. So overall, I am happy with how we were treated by staff just disappointed in the overall spa offerings. I also think it’s tricky that you cannot arrive more than 5 min early to the building but any less and it eats into your appointment/massage. They end promptly regardless.

I have gotten so many massages at so many places, both big corporate companies and small local businesses here in KC and all over the world. I love massages, as someone who is very active in lifting weights and yoga. However, I have never known the sheer healing power of what I have experienced here, especially when I have been blessed enough to have Jacklyn as my therapist. Incredible experience and she is so knowledgeable about the bodys self-healing ability and how to stimulate it with a variety of different massage practices. I was also refered to Dona to get a lymphatic drainage massage which was a first for me, and that made my body feel lighter and free in a way I cant put in words. I have never felt physically better in my life and that is in no small part due to this facility. THANK YOU, Massage Studio KC family!

Mykesha has hands of gold! I had a wonderfully rejuvenating firm pressure massage. There were nice vibes from the soft, relaxing music playing and crystals adorning the room. My fiancé and I had a couples massage here yesterday! It was fabulous!!! I have had a lot of massages over the years and Dona (dOe-nuh) was great!!! She really focused on pressure points and pain remedy! Nice room! Clean and comfortable! And I was impressed with them reaching out to us when a therapist was injured but not cancelling us and making sure they got us in! Called in another therapist and got us in only 15 mins behind which was perfect for us bc we were time crunched!All in all very pleased! Will go back!

I had an absolutely amazing experience with Dona. It was my very first massage experience so I was very nervous but she made me feel very relaxed and at ease. I had a lymphatic massage specifically and addressing scar tissue and I left feeling like a brand new person!

Have thus far received four massages from MSKC, one mobile and three at the Loretto, and unabashedly recommend them. Daisy, Paloma, and Michelle were all professional and artisinal; this place has a holistic approach that reveals itself over time while providing strong practical results based on what was stated in the submission form. Have received many massages from many different practitioners around the world and these ranked favorably among all of them.

Literally deleted our reservation, treated us like an inconvenience, and made a quarter-hearted effort to hide their disdain at our attempts to remedy their mistake.We booked a weekend couples massage and paid a deposit to secure our booking. When we arrived, we spoke to a remote worker in charge of answering the call box and controlling access to the door where they rent office space. This person said they had no record of our reservation and had no ability to investigate, despite us having confirmation via email and text.After the remote worker disconnected us, the only help she was able to offer when we called back was telling us to call the number from our booking email, which…connected us to a masseuse who, remarkably, wanted even less to do with us. She said repeatedly that she had another appointment while ignoring the fact that we, communicating in good faith with a valid booking and paid deposit, were every bit a paying client.After the studio’s repeated efforts to dump us into a infinite loop of dismissive and disinterested customer service, we were finally able to speak in person to the masseuse on the phone, who managed just enough effort to discover that, lo and behold, our reservation not only existed but had been inexplicably deleted on their end. Apparently not satisfied with attempting to shoo us way multiple times already, the masseuse was prepared to send us away without immediately refunding our deposit: “$50 is not that much.” Our deposit could have been $5; principle matters.The irony of a business so allergic to aiding its paying customers being a massage studio - they capably provided us the most fraught experience of our vacation.

An hour of amazingness! I wish I would have booked for a 2 hour massage. The highest quality of professionalism and atmosphere was super relaxing. What I loved most is how my husband left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated physically after a year of muscle stress and tension from neck/spinal surgery. We will definitely be back!

I had never gotten a full hour massage before; but Brittanie put me at ease and was so helpful and answered all of my questions. From the beautiful relaxing salon environment to the friendly, responsive conversation, I felt very comfortable and was able to relax. Brittanie adjusted the pressure of the massage when It was needed and the tension in my neck and lower back felt so much better. Now that I know how much it helped me, I will be a massage client more often!

Both of my massages have been wonderful and I love the space/ environment of the studio. My first time I went in for general tightness and neck pain from working at a desk and poor posture, and my shoulders have never felt as loose or as relaxed as when I left the studio. The second time I went in for tightness after getting in a minor car accident, and the concentrated therapy helped relieve the problem areas.I have run into challenges with scheduling. For my first appointment, my therapist was late, so the appointment also ran late, which was tough since I had scheduled for time-off in the middle of a work day. Then the second appointment needed to be rescheduled, so I ended up changing my work schedule again.This is a wonderful small business and I definitely plan on coming back.

A true game changer. This has become my first experience getting regular massages because I truly can’t believe how much BETTER I am feeling. (Lymphatic massage? I didn’t even know this was a thing… it is now MY thing and I annoying tell all of my friends about! Google it!) An extremely relaxing experience for your body and mind. The providers are so knowledgeable and provide service with warmth and kindness.Do yourself a solid and book the appointment.

Just make sure you read every single fine print item. I took screenshots of my purchase and it stated you would get a refund if there is a cancellation with more than 48 hrs. They said no, even though I have proof. They said that the policy had changed, even though I had proof. They said it was a fluke, even though I have proof. Ultimately, they said i had signed my money away in one of the 10ish fine print items you need to initial. Just be upfront, way to do business....

I had a great experience with my massage here. It was my first massage ever but Jackie made me feel very comfortable, and alleviated a great deal of pain I was experiencing.

My experience with Dona was life changing and eye opening. I received a 60 minute massage with Chakra healing. Her patience, intuitiveness, and kindness will always mean so much to me. She is very talented at what she does! Will definitely be going back.

Had a couples Massage with Michala and Dona 3/19/22. I was actually in the process of a full blown migraine and we almost canceled. My husband and I had been looking forward to this time so much, that I refused to canceled. I raise my right hand to tell anyone, within minutes of Michala touching my head and face my migraine was gone, my nausea was gone, and they almost had to peel me off the bed. That is how relaxing this entire experience was. My husband was also extremely pleased with Dona. We can not say enough good about them!

These last spa treatments have been the best I’ve ever had. On my last treatment MaKayla targeted a couple of areas on the back of my neck and right arm which had recently been throbbing and aching and she quickly identified those areas. Since initially coming, I’m feeling a lot better from my painful sciatica and I hope to continue coming.
