I got a foilayage with Kenny and the result is exactly what I wanted! I was a bit nervous since I got a bad experience previously at another hairdresser but Kenny did an amazing job. My blonde looks way more natural and shiny. Highly recommend

This salon is the best I’ve found in Katy! Friendly and super knowledgeable staff. I am approaching 40 and have had thinning in my hair that previous stylists have made worse. This salon had greatly improved my hair health! Amazing extension service as well.What I really love is the calming atmosphere and how I can get all my salon services here. Hair, nails, eyelashes, acne facials for my daughter, facials for myself and husband. You are truly missing out if you don’t go here.Some services are a little pricy, but nails and eyelashes are super reasonable. As far as some of the hair services, you get what you pay for. And trust me this place is worth it!

Tommy took me in on short notice, I have long and thick hair and he was very nice throughout the whole process and he had a good demeanor throughout, I got a shampoo and condition and the experience overall was really good. This is my second time coming to Tommy and it’s the best haircut I’ve gotten to date. The whole team was really genuine and was overall an excellent experience. 5 stars.

I love this place. Try the head spa for a relaxing blowout. It is amazing! Also get my lashes done here. They are so nice and take care of you all the time. Herbal tea, and all the spa services they offer are so much better than anywhere I have been. I have been to all the fancy spas in town. This is better!

I’ve been spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars here for years now. I had healthy beautiful brown hair until the day I decided I wanted to get some color. After leaving with it styled and going straight to work, pick my kids up, come home to my husband and throw my hair up in a ponytail he tells me hey babe, look in the mirror. An orange trail that doesn’t match the rest of my hair. So I go back, she ask me “ well what do you want to do? “ but I’m not a professional hair stylist so how would I know ? I showed pictures of what cut and color I wanted. It just gets worse. I end up going back AGAIN. Third time I call and speak with a manager who says there are NO REFUNDS and basically argues with me over why I’m unhappy and ask me to come back up there.She even laughed on the phone!!!!I found someone through a friend who has been doing hair her entire life and let me know right away this is NOT OK. I spent $400. Manager said she would pay for it to be fixed but when I texted her she just continued arguing about my hair.I spent $175 and my hair looks so much better now. My confidence is back and I will NEVER refer anyone here again nor spend my money here.Had they owned up to the mistake, and were more professional then I would of given another chance.I have been a loyal customer for years and this is really upsetting/disgusting that I was even treated this way after everything. It wasn’t even just the money for me, it’s the principal. As a business owner myself, this is NOT how you handle an issue. See pictures below !!

My daughter, who is under 12, recently got a mani-pedi and she enjoyed herself thoroughly. The staff at the salon was very friendly and professional. I also got my hair colored and had an updo done for an event. My daughter had her hair styled as well and was extremely happy with the service. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for great service and a positive experience.

Super convenient full-service salon. Love that I can come get my hair color/cut and eyebrow wax/tint in one place. For a busy Mom of 3 who works full-time, a place like this is exactly what I needed. In and out!

If I could rate more than 5 stars I would. I came in with my friend to do a pedicure without an appointment and they were so nice to make space for us to both do it together. On top of that letting us know about the different services and options they have. It was such an amazing treat. It made me want to even do more services with them. I ended up doing a thermal cleanse of my scalp, facial with extractions, and if I had even more time would’ve even done more honestly. What should’ve been only an hour pedicure ended up me being a four hours spa get away. Their amazing customer service in taking time to explain everything without feeling like they just wanted us to do the service felt so genuine. Such an amazing experience can’t wait to go back soon and try other services.

Tommy was very knowledgeable and kind. He gave me his recommendations and explained why he would cut my hair a certain way. After the haircut, I had a facial with Cindy. She was amazing. She was very kind and truly cares about you. She gave advice about different concerns I had. She made the entire process very relaxing. She then washed and styled my hair. I highly recommend Uplift Salon.

Kenny is the absolute best. As a girl getting grey and needing highlights his attention to detail is outstanding. I always leave happy with the exact right blonde.

Cindy is amazing with fine hair! I tried this salon last minute due to a YouTube trim that went as you might imagine. Cindy is new so she had space and I was so grateful but also dreading showing her what I did to my hair. But she was so nice about it! Their little salon is pleasant and well decorated, I didnt have to wait long and the hair wash area was heaven with its projector koi pond. By the time she finished washing my hair I was glad this all happened because I finally felt relaxed. Cindy chatted with me and cut my hair, she was meticulous and you can tell shes a pro. My haircut made my hair look fuller and now it has a ton of movement. She understands fine hair! I love my cut! I had her curl it for a party. Thank you Cindy! You rescued my hair!

Kenny did a fabulous job taking me from dark brown to platinum. He is a true artist and so skilled. He made sure to check my hair frequently to ensure hair integrity was maintained. The whole staff is phenomenal, they are gracious and attentive and extremely friendly and kind. Uplift is amazing.

I went for a haircut and got so much more! I decided to try the scalp treatment and I am so glad I did! Not only did I get an amazing scalp treatment but also mini facial, hand and foot treatment and massage. I didn’t even know that having your hair washed while laying down was a thing but now I don’t want it any other way. Cindy did an amazing job on all my treatments including my cut and style. Uplift is now my salon and spa.

This Salon is my new favorite place to go for haircuts. It is so close to home and they just so happen to do amazing work too. I feel like I can give very short and somewhat vague instructions, and they still know what I am going for and are very patient and attentive to any tweaks or adjustments you want made, always defaulting to err on the cautious side than make a mistake. I love this because I feel even after just two visits, I am so well understood by the staff here.Vibe of the place is cozy as well, love me some lo-fi relaxing music and the attention to detail like having a pleasant scent in the whole place which is also not at all too overbearing.I cant figure out why people would rate this any less than 5 stars. What a gem and in my own backyard here in Katy!!

I have been coming to Uplift Salon for almost 4 years. I do multiple services to include hair (cut and color) as well as lashes and brows. Recently Uplift started offer a Herbal Nourshing Shampoo treatment. I literally can not wait for my monthly visit. The experience is like none other in terms of relaxation, in my opinion. I personally do the Uplift Signature which includes, hand, feet and neck massage in addition to the benefits of the Herbal Nourshing treatment. I highly recommend this service to anyone just needing to pamper themselves! If you want a salon that offers a full array of beauty services...Uplift is your place.

But this recent experience is deserving of recognition for finally getting the long overdo haircut and color I’ve been tirelessly trying for!I got extremely lucky one day and on a whim, walked into an upscale, inviting little salon nearby just to see if there might be a hairdresser available to trim my hair?Sure enough, I was handed over to a stylist named Kenny who happen to have an immediate opening. I am typically really picky about my hair and who dares to cut or color it.That is, until my friend talked me into going to the Paul Mitchell School a few months back and after 5 hours of attempting to highlight, color and cut my hair, I walked out one big brassy, yellow, mess with a mullet! It was a nightmare of a situation from start to finish, lightening my hair turned more yellowish orange and damaged it more than one could imagine!My undertone was jet black, not brown, and the top of my hair was the color of the sun 🌞! Needless to say, I was devastated and at my wits end trying to figure out how many hats I would need to hide my new look until it deemed itself fixable. It wasn’t a quick fix situation since my hair had broken off, due to the over bleaching and I knew it needed some time before I could do a color correction.…Flash forward, Now, back to Kenny, the luck of the draw, recently at Uplift Salon & Spa.To my surprise, I was in excellent hands! He gave me a short, pixie, asymmetrical haircut I’d been wishing for and a free color consultation to walk me through the necessary steps to correct my atrocious color.He recommended I wait a few weeks longer to improve the integrity of my hair so we didn’t cause more damage than already done. I was so pleased with his careful and attentive approach to achieve the perfect cut and style. I walked out feeling like a million bucks and 3 weeks later returned to him for a color correction.He toned my hair and rid me of the yellow orange i’d been hiding under hats for months, achieving a beautiful ash blonde that I’d longed for. It was a nice transition and made my hair appear healthier than ever before!He recommended we start fresh with highlights next time giving my hair enough time to recover from being over processed.He was so careful to not damage my hair more and wanted to give adequate time between treatments to achieve the perfect byalage color I’d shown him in my photo.Never the less, Thank God for Kenny that day! I have found my “Go-To” Man who “Yes!” can work miracles! No one except Kenny will touch my hair from now on.Trust me, You won’t be disappointed by this upscale and affordable, shabby and sheik, accommodating salon and spa. I started seeing the new head spa experiences all over Instagram. I looked it up and Uplift was the only place around me that had it. Lien was my person and it was the most amazing experience and I will definitely be telling my friends about it as well as going back.

I have been going to Uplift Salon for several months now for hair services. Kenny does amazing work. He never is rushed and is very knowledgable with color. I was introduced to Uplift by a friend. I made an appointment immediately and I have to say it was by far the best experience I have ever had at a salon! The hair wash was the best part! It was sooo relaxing! I am thrilled to have found Tommy! He took the time to diagnose my hair and helped me find solutions to meet my needs. My hair feels so much healthier. They do so many other services as well! I found my go to place!

I have been to this salon a couple of times for a haircut and highlight service. This time I used Tien to style and curl my hair for some very important photos. my hair doesn’t take well to curls in certain weather, but she did such a great job! They lasted the entire photos and after! I could not recommend this salon enough!

Great service. Very relaxing. Kenny did a wonderful color and cut for me. Performed a color cut and highlights for my sister. Went the extra mile and worked on Sunday when they are normally closed. Only our second visit to this business but we were treated like life long customers. Highly recommend

Hands down- best hair salon in all Houston. Their new location is like I’ve never seen before- house transformed into an all day spa environment. The experience is one thing, but the work that Tommy does.... He truly knows what he is doing. I have gone to a lot of salons since moving to Houston, and he is by far, my favorite. He listens to what you want, he takes his time to understand and explain the process. In the last 2 years I’ve beencoming going to him, I’ve never once left with regrets or worries. My hair is the longest it’s ever been and I’m so grateful to have found this salon so close to home. His wife is also there, so sweet and professional, I was so happy to have been able to take care of my hair and nails all in one place. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself at a day at Uplift! :)

First visit to Uplift and it certainly won’t be my last! What a wonderful experience. I was promptly greeted as soon as I walked in and offered multiple options as refreshments. Within minutes, Megan was calling my name for my haircut. She did such an amazing job! Megan took her time and made sure every line was straight and exact, clearly a perfectionist. Pricing was very reasonable (cheaper than my last barber). When I got home, my girlfriend knew immediately that someone else cut my hair and loved it! Let’s just say I’m not allowed to go anywhere else going forward...!

I booked ammonia free all natural coloring service at $98. The hair stylist did not even color my full length hair rather she only did root touch up plus at the end she gave me a bill of $138 . Why because as per her, her coloring charge was $98 , then $15 for hair color tube and $25 for blow drying . All these separate charges were not explained to me at the beginning of service . I really did not like the whole experience at this salon . I have done hair coloring at many salons but this was not worth the money . Improve your service!!

At Uplift Hair Studio is a very clean and chic hair salon! The people are very friendly and welcoming from the moment you walk in. The receptionist offered drinks the moment we walked in, which was really nice. Michelly is one of the best hairstylist and knows what she is doing when it comes to women and men hair. She makes you feel very comfortable and will work with you until your absolutely satisfied. I highly recommend her services if you decide to go to this salon!

I spent a bit more on my haircut than I normally do, but it was so worth it. My last haircut at another salon was really bad, so I was begging for a good cut. My hair is crazy. It is fine and soft, with cowlicks all over the place. Tommy fixed it! He cut my hair WITH the way it grows, rather than trying to make my hair conform to a specific cut, which never works for me. I love the cut. And the ambiance... I walked in very stressed. Within a very short period of time, I relaxed. The salon is gorgeous, the music is calming, and Tommy has a lovely calming manner.

Update: I have now been seeing Tommy for about a decade and will never stop! He is 100% worth the drive across town! Yesterday I treated myself to a birthday spa day at Uplift and it was heavenly! I received a relaxing facial, cbd pedicure, and cut and style! I also work in the beauty industry and have tried multiple spas and salons throughout the years, but the one of many things that sets uplift aside is the emphasis on making sure the client is relaxed and comfortable at all times. Just by looking at the design of the space you’ll see how much attention to detail this team truly has. Everything about this experience was dreamy and I want to relive it again and again! I would recommend this spa and salon to anyone! Good job uplift team!Side note: they can also host your next small party! Megan cut my hair and it was great. As a guy Im used to getting in and out of the chair in about 10 minutes and I never thought anything of it. Megan took her time and it showed! Ill never go back to the old way. The shampoo was amazing as well. She styled my hair afterwords and made it look great. Definitely returning when the time comes. Perfect hair cut.

Everything was excellent. Felt so rejuvenated after getting my facial. I chose the Microdermabrassion with collagen golden mask facial. My skin felt soft and was glowing. Janet Linh was very knowledgeable and professional. She was also very kind and attentive in making sure that I was comfortable throughout the whole time there.The products are great. The place is extremely clean and the interior is gorgeous.Highly recommend this place!!

I get my hair cut and colored by Britiny. Shes very talented! I thought the price was a little high when I called to schedule a service, but it is truly worth it. Ive gone to several stylists in the Katy/Houston area and Britiny is by far the best. I highly recommend. The salon is very nice too!

I absolutely love the staff, the atmosphere and of course the great Job every single one does. Ever one that works there are very knowledgeable, educated on their work. Tien Nguyen a very kind , sweet lady does a fantastic eyelashes and awesome micro blading. Britiny Sky the Hair Artist a very sweet person who is extremely good doing styling, cutting and coloring my hair. Every singleArtist at the uplift Hair Studio are extremely professional. I highly recommend Tommy and Daniel. With that being said...I just had my hair done here and the initial service was not good. Like at all. The stylist who did my hair tried telling me afterwards that I just needed another service to improve the look. And she wanted to charge me almost $300 for the awful look. No... I said I cant leave here looking like this. SO, Tommy (the owner) was called and he came and saved the day. Not only did he make my hair look much better... he was apologetic, understanding and more than made up for the bad service from the other stylist. I also have to say something for Daniel Rodriguez (I hope Im right on his name), I am literally about to have a baby any day and he was very hospitable. Constantly asking if I was ok, got me water and even turned the air down for me when I said I was just hot from being pregnant. He was so sweet that it made me really feel better about the long, almost 6 hour experience. So, bottom line, they are good people with good customer service. I highly recommend Tommy and Daniel, they will take good care of you.

I went to Uplift Hair Studio in May and had a good haircut from Lucy. That is why I came back last week and I booked Megan, who was available within my timeframe. She was absolutely nice but my haircut is TERRIBLE. I thought it looked weird when she styled it, but when I got home I could see how bad it was. It is just uneven, the ends do not look right, awful! I do not mind paying for a good haircut, but this was a total waste of money. Everything is closed now because of the Harvey hurricane, but as soon as I can I will have to pay a lot more money to get it fixed.

I cut my hair yesterday with vy, i told her i want long layer and when i came home wash my hair it doesn’t even layer at all and i paid for $80 for not what i want. Waste of money!!! Overprice, cut doesn’t good. Really disappointed!!!! Here the picture of my hair on the left side picture is that ivy uplift cut my hair, horrible and not even not what i want it. On the right side i go to different hair salon and the lady fix my hair so great and cut my hair exactly what i want. Never come back to uplift anymore, waste of money and the person cut my hair like she not want yo work at all. Disappointed!!!!

My wife uses Brittany Sky and she absolutely loves her. They are extremely professional and do professional work. She loves her hair everytime she comes home. We have used several stylists on our daughters as well. We highly recommend this hair salon.

I really loved the atmosphere it’s super relaxing. I got tape in extensions and I really like them Vey was able to color match my hair color and put them in same day. All of them that work there are very nice and want to make sure you have a great experience. I will definitely be back!

I worked here for a couple of days just for them to tell me the first day was a trial and i was not getting paid, so of course that upset me. so i didnt want to go back, but i gave it a shot. my first paid day there, a girl came in and was undecided on what she wanted and Tommy did it and she did not like it, well he was willing to fix it to a certain point to where he got aggravated and told me to fix it or he will tell her to leave. mind you i dont have much experience in a salon at all. i was scared because this girl paid $300 and wasnt happy. but i gave it a shot because i understood what she wanted, then they tell her she can only get one color done so long story short she like that i was patient and the outcome and gave me a tip, which they never put on my check, i had to bug them to even give me my check, because they werent going to pay me and then to see the tip was not on there!!! horrible!!

I had my hair washed and eyebrows threaded by Cindy and she did such a wonderful job. I will definitely be back!

I have been going to Britiny at Uplift Hair Studio for the past 3.5 years and she is AMAZING! She always makes me have the most perfect balayage. I have also gotten extensions from her for my wedding and I loved them. She is so sweet. I’m moving away and SO sad to be leaving her. Y’all go check her out!

I can not say enough great things about Tommy. He literally saved my hair. I’ve boxed dyed it myself for over 7 years. Until recently I decided to BLEACH IT myself and tried dyeing it something else! Disaster! I finally found Uplift Hair Studio and they booked me with Tommy. It took almost 8 hours to correct the damage I had done but Tommy worked hard and he was focused and listened to my whole story as to what I had and what I was looking for. It turned out better than perfect!!!!

Michelly is awesome!! She listens to what you are trying achieve with your hair and will be honest and straight forward with how much it will cost before she starts the service. I wanted to lighten my hair for summer. Im Asian and went to Uplift Hair Studio because I thought Tommy who is also Asian would understand my need and know how to work with black hair. But I guess that was a wrong assumption. I consulted with him prior to making an appointment . At the appointment, I showed him my final inspiration picture of how light I wanted to go. He then picked the color that he thought looked closest to the hair color of the girl on the picture. Even though I wanted full foil highlights, he talked me into doing ombre balayage instead and convinced me. He dyed (hand-painted) my hair and 3-4 hours later, had Megan tone it because he was doing another customers hair. After my hair was blow-dried, I wanted to cry. I couldnt decide if the color was more yellow, more orange, or more red but it wasnt what I wanted and it didnt look anything like the color on the inspiration picture. I politely told Tommy my opinion on the result and we decided to darken it a bit since I thought it was too bright (maybe because of the brassiness). But what I dont understand is why he didnt tone it again to remove the unwanted tones. I had to pay extra for toning, after all. So he dyed my hair again with the help of another stylist, Brittany (they wanted to do it faster). Brittany wasnt careful at all everytime she clipped a section of my hair to the top of my head after coloring it. I have long hair and everytime she would clip a dyed section on top of my head, the ends would touch my eyes, I almost had some dye get inside one eye. Since my hair was going to be ombre balayage, I was expecting that they would carefully paint the new color on my hair to achieve a nice gradual blending. But no, they both painted the dye on my hair like how a 3-year old would paint on a paper. It was very different from how Tommy hand-painted the first color (the one he originally picked). He was careful and I could feel that he wanted to be precise. But this time, I could easily tell from their strokes that both Tommy and Brittany were not going for ombre balayage anymore and just wanted to be done with me. They were rushing. I wish I could attach photos here, but the best way to describe the result is that it was a disaster. As expected, I did not get the ombre balayage that Tommy talked me into. In fact, my friends hair that she dyed at home looks a lot better. The worst part? I had to pay $245 after tip and wasted a lot of my precious time (I was there from 9:00 am to past 3:00 pm) for a less than mediocre job. Tommy was nice and the salon is clean, but I would not come here again to get my hair done even if its for free. And I know that Tommy knew he screwed up big time because he took a few “before” pictures of my hair but didn’t bother take one “after” picture of the result.

My daughter and I have been to Lucy, Britiny, and Megan. They all did a pretty good job on our hair, but the prices at this place are outrageous! It is WAY overpriced. I went somewhere else and had the same thing for half the price and just as good. The WORST was when Tien did microblading on my eyebrows!! It was terrible!! It looked horrible and I had to go to work like that. I hated it and there was absolutely no refund of any kind! I will not be going back.

Just got a hair cut here today. Britiny was excellent, I have had issues with my hairline in the past, her innovative approach and techniques paid off. I arrived with visible recession and she was able to minimize the visibility with minor corrections with clippers and a brush! I highly recommend Upift to any male or female customer!

Had a very nice experience here! Everyone was very nice and understanding, and my hair looked amazing afterwards!Location can be tricky to access due to the construction in the area, but it was very much worth it. I recommend!

Came to this salon during work travel and it was quite disappointing. Do not let the high-end looks fool you. Made an appointment for a blowout with Michelly Insall. She rushed the job trying to blow the hair lightly on the roots and leaving the ends unpolished. Needlessly to say that she left my roots wet, tried to put all kind all products and hair spray to fix it, and when I told her about it she said it was because of “my hair texture” and that she will “fix it” with the flatiron. That right there tells you that she simply had no clue on how to handle curly hair whatsoever. An actual blow out doesnt need flatiron. I try to avoid that because of the heat but I had no other choice otherwise my hair wouldn’t look right. On top of that she wanted to charge me for the flat iron service even when I didn’t request it. Trust me, skip this salon.

Have been going since they opened. Always a great Men’s haircut. Stylists take their time to ensure perfection. An adult beverage, good conversation, awesome haircut... and a relaxing head/neck massage? Count me in.

Britiny has been doing my hair for years and I’m so happy with every hair style/color Ive had at the Uplift Hair Studio! I love how organized and nice the studio is as well. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for a cut/color!

Was going to charge me $389.00 for a Balayage and cut. Prices on website do not reflect. Stylist had other products included that were “highly suggested”. When I asked, she said “prices are liable to change the day of your appointment”. Still cost over $300.00 by the end of my appointment with less than satisfied results. 5 hour appointment and more damage was done that what I had coming in.

I never had a problem before today, but someone canceled my appointment that I received confirmation earlier in the day for the weekend to an afternoon appointment without my consent. When I called to report I did not make the afternoon appointment, they told me Brittany doesn’t even see clients at 10:45 am on Saturday. That is strange since she approved the appointment. The dishonesty is concerning to me, because to make an appointment you have to hold it with a credit card. I will take my business elsewhere.

Michelly Insall is amazing hairstylist!!! I drive an hour just so she can do my hair.( I live in Texas City) . and she has never disappointed me... my hair looks and feels amazing... I definitely recommend her to everyone and anyone who wants things done right... thank you Michelly!!!

I asked for shoulder length hair, with layers and face frame pieces. Got no layers. Just a straight cut. Does not look good at all. Will be going to Avenue Salon to get this fixed tomorrow. Do not go here. Staff barely talked to me and I also felt judged when I said I use box dye. Not worth it.

Vy did a color correction for me. I showed her a picture, we talked about my hair and what I specifically wanted. I was a little worried because I was going from a blonde ombre to an ashy brown with grey highlights. She did a great job and Im so happy with my hair!

It is a small hair salon, but it is clean and cute. Only one thing I don’t like it because they have the nails and pedicure section inside makes the shop smaller and not fresh

I went to Uplift for a hair cut by Michelly and I loved the look I got. I cut it shorter then what I am normally used to so it was a big change for me. But Michelly did a great job and I walked out with a look I am happy with!

I went with a picture of the color I wanted on my hair and the end result was nothing like it. They still charged me close to 300 USD and Said that i needed 2 Or 3 visits (paid separately) for them to get me the color that I wanted.This means that what they initially said would cost around USD 300 was really 600 and could even go up to 900!!!. That’s a rip off! I don’t know how places like these exist in this country. They wouldn’t last a week in Europe or Middle East.

My third time here and I am very satisfied with my hair. I highly recommend!Its seems like there is finally a place where you can really get the hair you want.

Very expensive - especially for the not so great service! 7 1/2 hours in 2 visits is ridiculous! And stylist sold product that was not necessary or even needed which I found out by another staff member after the fact (but never offered to return the product).
