Minnie was a wonderful therapist. I have two young kids at home so was feeling achey all over. She targeted the areas I needed work on, was attentive to my cues and adjusted as needed. Always like coming out of a sessions relaxed, renewed and refreshed. Minnie was professional, friendly and polite. Highly recommend her! Thank you so much for what you do! The facility was clean and staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

Mini was very thorough gathering information about my preference and injuries before she started the massage.She definitely knows her skill, and this was one of the best massages Ive had here in a long time. I was on the verge of canceling my membership do to the last failed massages I recently had with other masseuse. Thankfully I had a great massage with Mini yesterday and will continue my membership.

I had to take a long break from massages while I was pregnant, and this was my first massage since having my baby, and it was perfect. Daniel is very skilled. He knew exactly where to massage to relax my forearms to release the tension from holding my baby. His pressure is great and he checks in frequently to make sure it stays that way. He also did specific massage to help my sciatica. I feel so much better.

Ayumi is an INCREDIBLE masseuse for prenatal massages. I was so comfortable throughout the entire massage and left feeling extremely relaxed. I highly recommend booking her if you are pregnant.

I have been going to Juan for quite a while now and he does such an awesome job. Every time I go to him is a well needed massage, and I always feel rejuvenated when I step out of there. 🥰

Judy is one of my favorite providers. She is very good at her job. She is a good listener as well. Always engages with the customer asking questions and making me feel at ease.

Becky from the Lakewood office is amazing. I usually don’t do massages but now I’m hooked. She was kind gentle and helped me relax. I joined the membership so I will definitely be back.

Raquel was great. She didn’t talk a lot which was perfect for me. I am a very thorough person & the only thing I would suggest is that she makes sure she does each extremity ( when lying face down she didn’t massage my right arm) however when lying face up she did that extremity. I would suggest that clients begin face up because you tend to fall asleep lying face down & id prefer to do my backside last to truly relax. Most masseuses want to start lying face down & they need to reconsider doing that as a general rule of practice because it’s not a favorite of many that I speak to about massages, all have the same sentiment.

Glad to have found Juan at Massage Envy Lakewood Center. He gives an amazing trigger point and deep tissue massage. All of the employees are nice and parking is plentiful. I dont quite understand the Lakewood Center surcharge.

Daniel is by far my favorite ME Therapist! I’ve gone to him a few times and try to request him but sometimes I go in with a last minute appt so he isn’t available. Anyways, saw him yesterday and he has the best touch. Not too soft, not too hard. I’ve had massages where they feel good during but the next day I wake up feeling like I got hit by a truck, everything is sore from the strength of the massage. Not Daniel. I woke up this morning feeling super relaxed! Heck, I even slept 10 hours!! I never sleep that long. But Daniel is the best. I will continue to request him time and time again!

Miranda was very calming and relaxing. The a/c wasnt working and she gave me a cold towel to cool down.

This was my first time getting a massage and was nervous because I really did not know what to expect. The young lady at the front desk was very nice and informative. The environment was very clean, the atmosphere was so peaceful and welcoming. Carlisha was aware that I was nervous was very understanding, kind and patient with me. Juan is very attentive and adjusts to my needs as necessary. He can have a very gentle touch, and then really work on deep tissues as well. I cant wait for my next appointment!

Daniel was AWESOME! He listened when I told him about what type of pressure I needed him to use since I bruise easily. He kept the room nice and dark and made sure to keep his commentary to only necessary discussion (which when youre trying to relax is a HUGE deal maker or breaker). Becky is a great massage therapist. I had a 30 minute stretch followed by a 1 hour massage. Becky worked on all my tension knots. I felt so much better after. I will he back soon.

Massage Envy Management Disappointing! I have been a member for 10 plus years and a 23 year military veteran. For the last 2 plus years, I have used your Lakewood Center location. My therapist has been great but several members of front desk “ managers”unacceptable. Liars, rude and interactions felt racist! If this post reaches the owner will you please reach out?

Minnie did a great job! She was receptive to the areas I wanted to focus on & was very professional.

Becky is an excellent masseuse. She is experienced, professional and does a great job of tailoring the massage to my individual needs.

Nallely continues to be my go to. She now knows what my body needs before I even do. So blessed to find her. Genuinely a great person to be around and talk to beyond massage.

I came to Daniel because i was getting ready for a powerlifting meet and my muscles were getting tight. He has done amazing things helping me to loosen up and prepare for my meet. Im going to be spending some time with Daniel as I continue my journey in competitive powerlifting

The timing set up doesn’t seem honest. You arrive for a first time, they ask multiple questions, give you “time” to get ready by the time you have the actual massage is less than the time you are paying for and it doesn’t seem honest or fair. Will not come back. Very disappointed

Nidia is intuitive, soft spoken and an overall excellent massage therapist. If you need deep tissue for knots and tight areas she has an uncanny ability to feel them out. I always feel healed when I leave a session with her. Thank you Nidia!

What I experienced yesterday was nothing but greatness. I really enjoyed my 90 minutes stretch and full body massage.

Daniel was awwmazing! He listened to what I wanted and what I did not want and executed it like we had worked together before and this was our very first session! I had medium pressure and I had a kink in my neck that I had been dealing with for a few weeks! Baby, when I left I could turn cartwheels! His hands were soft but strong. He created an atmosphere of relaxation and trust and thats important when youre in such a vulnerable position. 10 out of 10, 1000% recommend and I will be back again!!!!

Ayumi is the best! Walked in feeling tight, with a couple of really bad spots, walked out feeling (as usual) like a million bucks!

0 if possible.... I never got a massage or even met my therapist, she did not show up to work. Maybe she had an emergency so I wont judge her too harshly but Massage Envy management could have handled the situation better. Someone should have let me know earlier if they could not get ahold of her. I highly doubt her shift started right at 1pm when my appointment was so at some point someone had to have noticed no one has heard from this therapist and let the customer know. Management did not bother calling me to cancel before I showed. After waiting about 15 min the receptionist let me know she could not get in contact with the therapist so they were going to have to cancel my appointment. She offered me a free enhancement next time but really thats nothing. I feel the manager should comp my next 1hr session for their poor handling of the situation.

Rita was AMAZING she mad me feel so comfortable I feel asleep and I never sleep during massage or facials.

90 minutes with Rita was terrific. She has great massage technique and checks in regularly on your comfort. She also does back facials which are perfect if you want a massage with all the benefits of a facial.

Nidia is the best. She always finds the spots that I need worked out. I’m so thankful I found her.

The best part of getting a massage with Ayumi is that she, for lack of a better description, karate chops you in the back like when youre a kid pretending to massage people, and she is a master. Its relaxing and invigorating, and while its only a small portion of the massage, its a real highlight. Shes also excellent at head/neck massages, which I never think about when deciding if I need a massage but which was very necessary.

Massage therapist Daniel is responsible for the longevity of my body and mind and spirit. I highly recommend and suggest you seek out Massage Envy in order to have a positive mindset and healing for 2024 and beyond! Daniel will cater to your every need and will customize the session just for you! He is truly an expert in his field.

Cant believe how fabulous Nidia is. I have been hurting for a few weeks. Nidia identified all the problems and fixed them. I feel like a new person. Thank you for being so knowledgeable. Brianna at the front desk was fabulous also. Shes always so friendly and helpful.

Jaun did an amazing job odentifying and getting at the knots in my shoulders. The only downside was that the hour flew by! Will definitely be coming back.

I’ve been going to Massage Envy Lakewood for years. For most of that time I’ve had Juan as my massage therapist. He has always exceeded my expectations! My back has always been a pain to deal with but Juan has made it so much better. I know once I walk in the doors I will be taken care of by an extremely friendly front desk staff and then my pain taken away by Juan!

My visit was amazing, mentioned to Juan my pain where I felt the tension. He triggered those points definitely going back... Had to become a member 🤗

Daniel is the best masseuse I’ve been to in years. He’s working wonders on my very tight hips. He has to use firm and deep pressure which requires more energy on his part. I’m sorry Daniel. But holy cow you’re helping me.

Brittany is magnificent! One session with her has released so much tension in my body from childbirth and having a 9 month old, that no other masseuse has been able to help.

Viviana was amazing. I arrived with pain in my shoulders and left arm for weeks. After an hour session, I was able to lift my arms with no discomfort. Viviana was thorough and applied appropriate pressure, as well as, asked questions to ensure I was comfortable during the process. 10/10

After having really upsetting service at a different Massage Envy , i was really impressed in how courteous and kind the staff was at this Lakewood location! Nallely and Nidia gave both my boyfriend and I amazing 90 min sessions. They were both attentive to our needs and made sure to ask how we were doing throughout the massages. We will definitely be coming back 😄

Daniel was friendly, welcoming and professional the entire visit. After my massage, I felt so much relief of sinus pain and neck/back muscle tension. The customer service provided by the front desk attendant at the end of my visit was subpar at best, which was quite disappointing being it is typically the last thing a customer remembers. However, I would still return as Daniel is an excellent masseuse and the service he provides is what truly matters to me ultimately.

I was glad to have been able to make a same day appointment for full body massage. Rebecca focus on my main points as mentioned before she started. I for sure enjoyed my massage!

Lauren gave me the best deep tissue massage of my life. Lauren not only applied the perfect amount of pressure but her movements made it clear that she was well versed in the anatomy of the body. My experience with Xochil was great, went in for a regular facial and she made the experience enjoyable and explained everything she was doing as she was working in my facial and asked if I had any questions. I will definitely be coming back to her for my next facial.

I have MS and this causes stiff muscles. My therapist Daniel was attentive to my needs. The massage was beyond relaxing and relieved my stiff muscles allowing me the flexibility to walk a little better. I highly recommend Daniel, he is excellent.

I had a facial with Rita. She was great!

Not sure how it happened but it did massage envy played me for remaining hours I paid for prior to cancelling. Dont get a membership it is not worth it. I cant speak for all locations but this one in formed me I had 90 days to finish my prepaid appointments I have 4.5 hours left. Read the contract dont take there word for it. My losses of 450.00 will not allow me to spend with this franchise any longer.

This was my first massage since 2020 when I started my membership! I can’t explain how satisfied I am with the experience I was so anxious and tense, I feel like I’m floating now thanks to Queennie! Definitely recommend her so kind and attentive

Daniel always gives the perfect massage! He asks which area needs attention and focuses on that area while giving a full body massage. He talks during the massage if you want and is silent, if you prefer that. I’ve had nothing but stellar masseuses at the Lakewood Massage Envy - well worth the investment.

Been a member for a few months now, Daniel @ Massage Envy Lakewood Center is exceptional! Over a decade ago i injured my knees in a fall, and we have been working to release the constant tension in my legs and lower back. I’ve had dozens of massages since the original incident, and this is the first time that I’ve ever been able to address the root cause. Highly recommend Daniel!

Ayumi is a gift from God and The Universe! Her massages are both physically and spiritually fulfilling! I experience enriching meditative moments during my time with her! It is something special to be provided a massage while simultaneously being naturally transported to a meditative calmness at the same time! She is, by far, the best masseuse I have ever had!

I spoke with a person on their franchise team who assured me they would reach out to the Lakewood, California location regarding my mom being charged an additional amount past her birthday gift card. The card was purchased around the time of Covid, a natural disaster unforeseen or controlled by the customer therefore the service should be honored at the price at the time of purchase. Gabby the manager refuses despite being contacted by the franchise board. I feel this is morally and legally wrong. This is why I’m giving this location of massage envy a terrible review. I suppose since they’re a franchise it’s at their discrepancy. Customer isn’t always right. Wow, a mom’s birthday gift card, really???

Too overpriced for the service I received. Ive had much better. We were a little late because the freeway was shut down with police activity. They deducted from our service time, and still ended the massage 5 minutes before our time was up.

I had a facial with Xochil for the first time at Massage Envy, Lakewood location. I was very bummed because my two favorite people are no longer with the Lakewood (esthetician Hasley and massage therapist Carlos). Needless to say, Xochil was fantastic. Xochil is very knowledgeable, friendly, and gives soothing facials. It has been a while since my last facial due to life, but Xochil is helping me get back on the mend. It is unfortunate how booked Xochil is (a couple weeks out) which speaks to how amazing she is. I will be seeing you again Xochil.

The staff was great. The receptionists were very helpful and answered all our questions. The room was very clean, and the service was on time, and it was very effective and helpful to my back pain.

Always hard to get someone to pick up calls and have to jump through hoops to cancel membership. Plus they don’t have a manager on site to be able to cancel on the day you want to cancel only certain days. Sorry as a very busy person that is not ok.

I had such an amazing experience I just had to share it on here for anyone who is looking for a massage and/or facial! I have heard so many great things about Massage Envy but I was unsure which location to go to. I saw this one had many great reviews and decided to give it a try and it was the BEST decision I ever made! When I called the person on the phone was very polite. I let them know it was my first time ever getting a massage. The explained everything asked me if i was comfortable with a male or female. I wasnt sure but I let them know my back had been giving me a lot of problems and they recommend Adrian. The day of my appointment I was greeted very politely by all the front desk people. I filled out some paperwork and someone from front desk spoke to me to better customize my experience they answered all my questions since it was my first time they even introduced me to my therapist Adrian. Adrian was amazing i told him about my back issues and he asked what pressure I prefered and I said I wasnt sure he was firm on some areas and medium on others. He is AMAZING my back has never felt better, he was amazing at getting the knots I had in my back. Then I had a chemical peel with Maan and my skin looks clearer. I loved the products she recommended. I cant wait to go back!

The therapist Ethan was excellent!!! He worked the muscles all over my body.The first couple of times going to the spa the receptionist were helpful. Then one of the receptionist Tyler booked my next massage for the wrong date.Then when I complained that they made the mistake, requested to speak with the manager they insisted that the manager was unavailable. Then they reported that they were able to contact the manager Britney who was not accommodating due their mistake. While speaking with receptionist the phone disconnected (I thought) so I recalled the number and the staff constantly continued to hang up the phone. Im highly offended and upset that this is the way that this business choose to handle my situation. This is very rude and unprofessional behavior.UPDATE: Well I spoke with the manager Britney regarding the unprofessional and rude behavior of the staff on the date in question. She apologized for how the staff had handled the situation. I also acknowledged that I had been very persistent, which could have attributed to the confusion. She was very professional and respectful in handle this situation. She removed the flag off the account and rescheduled my massage. She also informed me that she would be working with her staff to ensure that this behavior would never occur again. She gave me a complimentary foot massage which I have never had. Looking forward to my massage this week. Giving kudos to Britney for being a good manager.

I had an all around great experience. I just moved to the area and this was my first time in. I spoke with Greg to set up my appointment. He was very professional and helpful. I told him what I wanted for my massage and he set me up with RJ. He was amazing! I went in because of back pain and tightness and even though I got a full body massage, RJ focused on the areas of my back I was having trouble with. I would definitely recommend him and I will be going back to see him again.

I love Lakewood Massage Envy! I personally am a Massage Therapist and as an educated therapist I love coming here. They are such knowledgeable therapist who amplify the advanced education that I received from school . I can truly tell you they know what they are doing. They are all beyond advanced in their body work. They always ask if pressure is okay and can work out any trigger points that i request. They have the capability to increase or decrease in pressure as well as customize to my needs. What drew my attention was the amount of rating of yelp reviews here. If you ever come here I have had a Massage from Carlos, Leny, Reanna and Facial from Cindy. Microderm from Maan and 30 min strectch from Juan. I always walk away as a happy camper with each therapist. They all have their own personal touch that can please most people. I make it ritual to get a service here as much as I can because of the customer service i get from both therapist and Front Desk Associate. They always ask if my session was great and they truly are happy that I enjoyed the services. I have had Massages from lots of Spas like Thai places, Burk Williams, chiropractors, acupuncturist and I can truly and honestly testify this a top favorite. I give props to the owner Johnny and Manager Greg for hiring people like them and setting such high expectations for every employee. I look forward to booking with every therapist before the year ends.

I just called attempting to book a massage for my wife and the girl who answered the phone had no interest in telling me about any options or gaining my business. When I started asking questions about rates and packages she sighed, smacked her lips and reluctantly gave the pricing.I have had good experiences with other Massage Envy locations in the past so I was surprised.... No biggie to me. There are numerous spas in my area.Note to Spa Managers- The booking staff is the face of your business. If the person who answers the phone is rude with a attitude it will cost you. People spending their hard earned money dont like to be treated like a inconvenience.
