A New You Massage Spa

So, I have been here multiple times. Most of the time I get the full body with the back and foot rubs, hot stones and whatnot, but I’ve also had the chair massages.To keep things in perspective, the two people that have always been there to service me are always either the man or the woman (I’ve only ever seen these 2 people working there), who both appear to be Chinese judging by their language/tones. There are different customer service standards in Asia as compared to over here in America. That is simply fact. The man has always done my full body massages and the woman has always done my chair massages. I have never had issues with either of them in the way they’ve treated me any time I’ve gone there, and I’ve been probably 10x or more if I had to guess over the last 3-4 years. I’m actually planning on going again later today.Another thing to keep in mind:Because of the language barrier, their menus aren’t really super detailed as to WHAT you’re actually getting. Most people prefer the relaxing Swedish massages, but every time I’ve ever gotten a chair massage, for example, they always seem to be deep tissue. I’ve gritted my teeth through the whole thing every time, but my muscle points DID get released and I DID feel better in the long term afterwards.And yes, they do charge you $8 to use your card, but that price has only gone up since COVID, and being a small business, they probably had no choice. Plus a lot of the popular card readers that people get - like the Square Readers for example - DO, in fact, charge YOU just for using it for your business. So naturally, they have to make up for that loss.My two cents:I would go here if you’re having issues with a certain area (shoulder, lower back, calves, etc) but be prepared for pain if you do end up getting the chair massage because it is a lot of muscle penetration. Also remember to bring cash for a tip because - guess what! - it’s courtesy. The prices are cheap and it’s convenient if you’re already in the mall and want to treat yourself to a walk-in as opposed to having to make an appointment like all the other places around Lancaster do. I only took off one star because it can be hard to communicate with them at times and it has been a learning curve for me as a customer to go in and pay for one thing and end up getting another (like with the chair massage; I thought it would be relaxing but it was anything but) but I’m fine with it because after I experience it the first time its always consistent going forward. It’s definitely a place you have to experiment with because they simply don’t understand English very well and therefore can’t answer all of your questions.The takeaway:- Bring cash for tip (they recommend like $10 starting)- Chair massages = deep tissue (and pain, because what deep tissue is)- Full body massages will be handled by the guy, not the girl, and he WILL ask you to strip down to just your underwear (no bra) and cover yourself with a sheet. He has never once been unprofessional about that to me.- Respect the cultural differences and meet them halfway. If you can do that, you can have a good time here. If not, there are electric massage chairs right outside Rue21 you can use.

The lady gave me a wonderful deep tissue massage I give her 5 stars , it’s the guy running the place with a nasty attitude on why it’s 2 stars . He became a belligerent a$$ when he didn’t like the tip amount . After I told him that I liked and that I would definitely be back , so now no I definitely will not be back. He was shouting very loud and angry through his shop. Hes lucky he didn’t come at me sideways.

I ran in the 5k Hot Chocolate race yesterday in Columbus. Woke up today pretty sore. I showed up at their shop right when it opened. Very friendly. I did the full body/foot combo. A bit of a language barrier but we understood each other enough. I feel soo much better! I will definitely be back!!

Would not recommend to anyone. Exposed and touched private areas that should not be exposed or touched. Came in the room even when client said please wait bc they were not fully dressed. Could be partially due to not speaking any English but that is no excuse. Then did not offer change to the client, when they really didn’t want to tip at all due to the horrible experience. Save yourself the inappropriate and uncomfortable situation and don’t ever go here!

Only giving one star because there is no options for ZERO STARS. The lady acted like she couldn’t understand being told NO. She walked in before I was covered and ready even though I asked her to wait a moment. She exposed areas that shouldn’t have been exposed multiple times after me telling her NO. Don’t recommend. Also didn’t offer to give me change- my bill was $65 and I paid with 4 $20 bills and they said thank you and that was it. I wouldn’t have tipped if I wasn’t forced to

I purchased the couple massage the 45 mins back and foot massage for Christmas. When I went in I told the lady what I wanted. Massage for a couple, 2 . 2 people. She told me 60 dollars. Thought the price seemed a little low but ok , Christmas time so maybe running a special. Even asked and verified before paying that it was for 2 people. She said yes. Went to redeem it this past weekend with my fiancé and the people there were so rude, not sure if they were the owners or not but yelling that the 60 was for one person , fine paid for the other then kept pointing to the tip sign on the counter about it suggesting $10 or more per person. I only had 10 in cash. He was still yelling and pointing and going on and on. First of all that is horrible customer service. Its a suggestion to tip that not a mandatory amount. There was another customer sitting in there waiting as he just shook his head while they were throwing a fit over a few dollars. When you just charged me 8 dollars to use my card. Welp theres part of your tip. I work in health care and customer service and that was absolutely unacceptable service. I have been there before but have never seen these people. I will not return if they are the ones running it. Learn to speak English so you all understand what we are saying and buying ao from the get go my experience wasnt set up to be bad and absolutely do not demand a tip. Its a suggestion. If you want a set tip put it in the price.

I booked a massage for myself and fiancé and we both really enjoyed it! We did the 45 min full body session. I will say if you see the advertisement online for a special it does not apply here. They are under new ownership but don’t let that deter you. They used lotion and oil and hot stones. I’ve seen other places charge much higher and this was my first professional massage experience. We’re definitely going back 🤗

Very clean facility in tge River Vslley Mall and good deep tissue massage and hot stones is a real bonus . A 1/2 hour massage was only $37. I will definitely be back 😀

Myself and my best friend walked in on a Monday and was told she couldnt give us massages at the same time because it was just her there. She told us to make an appointment for Sunday and she could get us both done. We showed up at our scheduled appointment time and she said she couldnt do it because it was just her. Very unprofessional to make appointments and not be able to keep them. She could have at least called to reschedule knowing it would be just her in there. Never will try this place again.

This was the worst massage I have ever received in my adult life. It was so painful and I am very bruised today. He used his elbow and dug into my back. The first 15 minutes he massaged me on top of the sheet. It was supposed to 60 min massage and 15 min foot rub. I did not get a foot rub. There is no way this guy should be a professional masseuse. I grinded my teeth through the whole thing, could not wait for it to be over. I would not wish this type of massage on my worst enemy. I hurt more now than I did when I went in.

My BF took me today. We had a couples massage, very clean, staff was very kind, appreciative, professional. had an hour massage and a 30 min foot massage. It was a combination of a deep tissue massage and a very relaxing massage at the same time. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.

This is where I normally go to get a massage. I dont have to have an appointment, but of course if theyre busy I may have to wait a little while. My back and shoulders feel so much better. Professional, relaxing, very happy coming here. You can also get a foot massage or chair massage. Theyre very good.

The background noise from the mall is quite distracting and the massage therapist speaks no English so hope for the best. Deep pressure seems to be the go to so much so i had bruising on my upper back.

Small but nice, the staff are friendly and welcoming! The rooms are clean and you get an AMAZING massage on the cheap! Best place in town for the price, I would recommend to anyone!!! Love this place!!! I try to go every other week! Lol

Horrible experience. No english from the person whatsoever. Intruded in private places even after saying no multiple times. Do no recommend this place to anyone. Terrible place.

The lady here is really good. I’ve never had a massage and don’t really like to be touched. She has worked with me on this. And I really like going to see her

A clean place and full of equipments for exercises. I really recommend joining in it. It is suitable for all groups and various sections, and with all this it is cheap compared to other sports centers.

Deplorable!!!!! I will NEVER return here! Absolutely disrespectful and dont make an appt, they will tell you to come back tomorrow when you arrive for an actual appt .
